People act like serving the Lord is a duty. It's not a duty. It's a privilege. It's a privilege, beloved. And it's wonderful. And we do it from a grateful heart, don't we? Oh, my. My. We don't serve the Lord out of fear and punishment. No. We don't serve the Lord out of the threat of the law. No. But we serve the Lord with a generous, generous spirit of thanksgiving, of love to our God, of love to the Lord Jesus Christ, of love to his gospel, of love to his word, of love to his people.
