The Word Was Made Flesh

John 1:14

The sermon titled "The Word Was Made Flesh," preached by Todd Nibert, centers on the doctrine of the Incarnation as expressed in John 1:14. Nibert argues that Jesus Christ, referred to as "the Word," is both fully divine and fully human, emphasizing the profound mystery of the God-man. He supports this claim with various Scripture references, including Isaiah 7:14 ("a virgin shall conceive") and Luke 1:35 (the Holy Spirit overshadowing Mary), highlighting the necessity of the virgin birth to ensure Christ's sinlessness. The practical significance of this doctrine centers on the believer's assurance of salvation; through Christ's dual nature, believers are offered grace and truth, which provides a basis for their relationship with God and their understanding of His character. Nibert emphasizes that the glory of Christ, stemming from His incarnation, underpins both His righteousness and the hope of resurrection for believers.

made flesh. We stand amazed. Lord. Your gospel. Is so glorious. And we give thanks. We pray that
you would forgive us of our sins, Lord, we're. Of sinful people,
we pray for forgiveness and cleansing. We pray for grace to walk in
thy son. We ask that you unite our hearts
together to fear your name. I bless us for the Lord's sake.
In his name we pray. Amen. evening let's turn to hymn number
42 and we'll sing all hail the power hymn number 42 All hail the power of Jesus'
name. Let angels prostrate fall. Bring forth the royal diadem
and crown him Lord of all. Bring forth the royal diadem
and crown him Lord of all. Ye chosen seed of Israel's race,
ye ransomed from the fall. Hail him who saves you by his
grace and crown him Lord of all. Hail Him who saves you by His
grace and crown Him Lord of all. Let every kindred, every tribe,
on this terrestrial ball To Him all majesty ascribe, and crown
Him Lord of all. To Him all majesty ascribe, and
crown Him Lord of all. O that with yonder sacred throng
we at His feet may fall, we'll join the everlasting song and
crown Him Lord of all. We'll join the everlasting song
and crown him Lord of all. Now let's turn back a page to
number 40. We'll sing Great is Thy Faithfulness
in number 40. Great is Thy faithfulness, O
God my Father! There is no shadow of turning
with Thee. Thou changest not, Thy compassions
they fail not. As thou hast been, thou forever
wilt be. Great is thy faithfulness, great
is thy faithfulness. Morning by morning, new mercies
I see. All I have needed, thy hand hath
provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord,
unto me. Summer and winter and springtime
and harvest, sun, moon, and stars in their courses above. Joined with all nature in manifold
witness To thy great faithfulness, mercy and love Great is thy faithfulness,

unto me. I'm gonna read Psalm 54, and
that will be our prayer as well. Save me, O God, by thy name,
and judge me, by thy strength. Hear my prayer, O God. Give ear
to the words of my mouth. For strangers are risen up against
me, and oppressors seek after my soul. They've not set God
before them. Sheila. Behold, God is mine helper. The Lord is with them that uphold
my soul. He shall reward evil unto mine
enemies. Cut them off in thy truth. I will freely sacrifice unto
thee. I will praise thy name, O Lord,
for it is good. For he hath delivered me out
of all trouble. And mine eye has seen his desire
upon mine enemies. All glory to Jesus, begotten
of God, the great I AM is he. Creator, sustainer, but wonder
of all, the Lamb of Calvary. To think that the guardian of
planets in space, the shepherd of the stars. is tenderly leading
the church of his love by hands with crimson scars. The King of all kings and the
Lord of all lords, he reigns in glory. Someday He is coming, Earth's
kingdom to claim, And every knee shall bow, And every knee shall bow. David, the sweet psalmist of
Israel, the man whom God called a man after mine own heart, said
with regard to the gospel, such knowledge is too wonderful for
me. It's high. I cannot attain unto
it. And that is very much how I feel
as I try to preach on this 14th verse of John. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us And we beheld
his glory. The glory as of the only begotten
of the father, full of grace and truth. This is so other. so transcendent, so incomprehensible that it must be the truth. The Word was made flesh. In verse 1 we read, In the beginning
was The Word. When the beginning began, the
Word already was. Christ is the Word of God. When
God speaks His mind, the Word comes out of His mouth. I say
that as It's hard to say it that way, but when God speaks, the
word that comes out of his mouth is his son, Jesus Christ. God, who at sundry times and
in diverse manners spake in times past to our fathers by the prophets,
hath in these last days spoken to us by Son. You'll notice His, if you look
at that, is in the italics. He's spoken to us by Son. Christ is the Word of God. He, the Word. in the beginning
was the Word. He, the Word, as a distinct person,
was with God. Look what it says, in the beginning,
verse one, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God. And that means, literally, he
was face-to-face with God. face to face in perfect communion,
in perfect pleasure, in perfect enjoyment, face to face with
God. Not only was he with God, he
was God. God was the word. The same was eternally in the
beginning with God. 1 John 5, 7 says there are three
that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy
Ghost. There we have the Trinity spelled
out so clearly. UNDERSTAND THIS? OF COURSE NOT.
DO WE BELIEVE IT WITH ALL OF OUR HEART AND SOUL AND STRENGTH?
ONE GOD IN THREE DISTINCT PERSONS. GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON,
AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT. THIS IS THE US OF LET US MAKE
MAN IN OUR OWN IMAGE. THIS IS GOD SPEAKING IN THE TRINITY
OF HIS PERSONS. this one who was made flesh all
things were made by him drew this is what you're saying i
mean you might as well saying the message all things were made
by him him being the maker of all things
he can't be made him being the creator of all things he cannot
be a created being He is the eternal Son of God. I have this in my notes too. All hail the power of Jesus'
name. Let angels prostrate fall. And that's what we sing. Now,
back down to verse 14. And the Word was made The infinite
God that the heavens cannot contain was made flesh. That stuff mean
you have. This is talking about the incarnation
of Christ when God became a man. He never quit being God. He's
fully God. BUT HE BECAME SOMETHING HE WAS
NOT BEFORE THAT TIME SOME 2,000 YEARS AGO. HE BECAME FLESH. HE BECAME A MAN. YOU SEE, THE
ONLY WAY HE COULD SAVE ME OR YOU IS IF HE BECOMES A MAN. GREAT IS THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS. GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH.
NOW I WANT YOU TO LOOK AT A FEW SCRIPTURES WITH ME. WOULD YOU
TURN TO ISAIAH CHAPTER 7? Verse 14, therefore the Lord himself shall
give you a sign. Behold, a virgin shall conceive
and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel. And we know from Matthew chapter
one what Immanuel means. God with us. Not God against us. Not God afar
off. Not God above us. God with us. And I want to make it even more
personal. God with me. God with me. God was manifest in the flesh. Now,
why did the Lord have to be born of a virgin? You know, there
are many religious people who will say they believe in the
virgin birth, but they have no idea why he had to be born of
a virgin. If he would have been born of
Adam's seed, he would have been a sinful man like me or you.
That's why. Adam's seed is utterly corrupt.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh. He was born conceived
of a virgin conceived by the Holy spirit. Turn with me to
Luke chapter one, Luke chapter one, verse 28. And the angel came unto her and
said, Hail, thou art highly favored. The Lord is with thee. Blessed
art thou among women. And that can be said of every
believing woman. Every believing woman has been highly favored,
highly graced by God. And when she saw him, she was
troubled at his saying and cast in her mind what manner of salutation
this should be. And the angel said unto her,
Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found favor with God. And behold,
thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt
call his name Jesus. He shall be great, he shall be
called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord God shall give unto
him the throne of his father David, and he shall reign over
the house of Jacob forever. and of his kingdom there shall
be no end.' Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be,
seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said
unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power
of the highest shall overshadow thee, therefore also that holy
thing. It's almost like, what do we
call him? That holy thing which shall be
born of thee shall be called the Son of God. In 1 John chapter four we read,
I'd like you to look at this one too, because this goes along
with this, 1 John chapter four. The Word was made flesh. Now
listen to this, verse one. Beloved, believe not every spirit,
every preacher that claims to be preaching the Word, but try
the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets
are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of
God, every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in
the flesh, is of God. Now, do you hear that? Every
spirit that confesses. Now, not just if you ask him
privately, but this is a public confession. Jesus Christ, he
was before he came as the eternal son of God. He is eternal. And that means he shares every
attribute of God because he is God, he's eternal. He was before
he came, eternal God. And he came in the flesh. The word was made flesh. And beloved, whatever it was
He intended to do in the flesh, He did. Thou shalt call His name
Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins. And that's exactly what He did. THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH FOR THIS
PURPOSE TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS AND THAT IS PRECISELY
WHAT HE DID. NOW BACK INTO OUR TEXT, JOHN
CHAPTER 1. THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH AND THE
SCRIPTURE SAYS HE DWELT AMONG US. AND THAT WORD IS LITERALLY
HE TABERNACLED AMONG US. AND THAT'S AN ALLUSION TO THE
OLD TESTAMENT TABERNACLE. The Word was made flesh and tabernacled
among us." Now, I suppose it could be said that He dwelt among
the men and women of this world because the Scripture says He
came into the world and the world was made by Him. And the world
knew him not. So I suppose you could say he
dwelt among us, all of us, in that sense when he became flesh.
But I really believe that what that is referring to is the word
was made flesh and dwelt among us, the ones who beheld his glory. The glory as of the only begotten
of the Father. That is who He tabernacled among
in this special way, those who have beheld His glory. And let
me say this before we go on. If you're a believer, if I'm
a believer, we have beheld His glory. And I hope we can see
that from this passage of scripture. Now the us is the same us as
if God be for us. Who can be against us? The us
is the same us when the Lord said, thus it becometh us to
fulfill all righteousness. When Jesus Christ fulfilled all
righteousness, every believer fulfilled all righteousness so
that everything done in their body is perfect righteousness. That could just be believed.
It can't so much be seen, or understood, but it can be believed.
The righteousness of Christ is my personal righteousness before
God. Now, the Word was made flesh. He never ceased being God. He's
not now half God, half man. That's blasphemous. He's all
God. and all man, the man Christ Jesus. And John tells us, we
beheld His glory. But notice the language. Look
with me. We beheld His glory, the glory
as of the only begotten of the Father. We beheld his glory as
of the only begotten of the Father. Now, most commentators say that
this is a reference to the Mount of Transfiguration. If you'll
remember at that time, the Lord Jesus appeared to James and John
and Peter. and he was transfigured before
them. And Matthew actually says his son, his face shined like
the sun, and his raiment became as white as light, glistening,
as no fooler on earth could make them, Mark says. I mean, they
saw how this happened, I don't know, but somehow they saw his
deity burst through his humanity, and they experienced this, they
saw it. Can you imagine seeing that?
Talk about a mountaintop experience. They were there beholding his
glory. And that's what Luke said, he
showed forth his glory. But when Peter is talking about
this, in 2 Peter chapter one, Matt read that back in the study.
He said, we heard the voice of God from heaven, speaking, this is my beloved son. THE LORD JESUS BECOME TRANSFIGURED
BEFORE THEM. THEY SAW THIS. AND YOU KNOW WHAT
PETER SAYS? WE'VE GOT SOMETHING BETTER THAN
THAT. We have a more sure word of prophecy. The scripture is
better than any kind of experience, anything you could ever see.
We have a more sure word of prophecy, knowing this first, that no prophecy
of the scripture came by the will of man, but holy men of
God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. And that is
more sure, more certain than any experience you could ever
have. Now, I love, for lack of a better word, don't
you love it when you feel the presence of the Lord? It sure
is awful when you don't feel the presence of the Lord. Isn't
it wonderful when you hear the gospel? Oh, it's in the power
of the Holy Spirit. But there's nothing better than
this written word. It's more sure than any experience
you could ever have. That's what Peter says. It's
a more sure word of prophecy. Now, the Bible is more sure than
any experience, even that. But look what John says next. And the Word was made flesh and
dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father. Now, what's that mean, the only
begotten of the Father? Look in verse 18. No man has
seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, which
is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him. Look at
chapter three, verse 16. For God so loved the world that
He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. Look in verse 18. He that
believeth on Him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he has not believed in the name
of the only begotten Son of God. I'm gonna quote this from 1 John
4, 9 and 10. And this was the manifest, the love of God toward
us, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world that
we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we love
God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation
for our sin. Now that's a This is how I behold His glory. In Psalm 2, verse 7, you're familiar
with this passage of scripture. God said, Thou art my Son. This day have I begotten thee. Now what does that mean? This
day have I begotten thee? Turn with me to Acts chapter
13. This is Paul's message in Acts
chapter 13, verse 32. And we declare unto you glad
tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
God hath fulfilled the same unto their children, and that he hath
raised up Jesus again, as is also written in the second Psalm,
thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee. So this begetting
is speaking of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. That
is all that it's referring to, but that's a lot. That's an infinite
amount. The resurrection of the Lord
Jesus Christ. This day have I begotten thee. Now, we see this beginning refers
to the resurrection, but what did the father mean when he said,
this day have I begotten thee, when it was written a thousand
years before it took place? It means the resurrection of
Christ Yes, it is an event of time. It happened on a certain
time in an exact second in an exact place with a longitude
and a latitude. It was a historical event that
actually took place. It took place in the world at
a very second when he opened his eyes in the tomb, but it
is a fact irrespective of time that's eternal. Now, how do you
say that? Christ is called the Lamb slain
from the foundation of the world. He was the Lamb slain before
time began, but let me ask you a question. Did He stay slain? No. He's the Lamb raised from
the foundation of the world, and that means there's never
been a time when God viewed any of his people apart from his
only begotten son, his life, his death, his resurrection.
He's the lamb slain, he's the lamb raised from the foundation
of the world. Listen to this. I've understood
this, I think, in a different way. There in Hebrews chapter
10, when he calls Christ the new and the living way, New means
freshly slaughtered. He just died, but he's just alive. New and living, freshly slaughtered
and alive. How poignant that is to the father.
It never loses its power. He never loses his power. Oh,
we may forget it, but he doesn't. His blood is fresh, poignant,
powerful, always before God, and He presents it as the living
Savior. He's the one who presents His
own blood to the Father, and that is eternal. That is why
the universe was made. That is why the world was made.
That's why me and you were saved, because of the Lamb slain from
the foundation of the world. He's eternally the only begotten
and well-beloved Son of God. And every believer beholds the
glory of his resurrection. Now I didn't see it physically,
I've realized that. But I have some understanding
of the glory of the begotten raised up son of God. The glory
of the word being made flesh, Isn't that amazing? Isn't that
beyond God became a man? The glory of what He did in the
flesh? He kept God's law perfectly. A man in the flesh never sinned. He never thought of sin. He never had a bad motive. Absolutely
perfect. He kept God's law perfectly in
the flesh. What glory! What about the glory of his death?
First that he could die in the first place. That mystifies me. He's the God-man. How could he
die? I never will forget somebody
wrote me once and said, well, the God part didn't die, the
man part did. And I thought, oh, thanks for
your help. This is a great mystery that
nobody can explain. The God-man died. And what did he accomplish by
that death and that resurrection? He was delivered for our offenses
and He was raised again for our justification. I see the glory
of God in completely saving me to where God is actually satisfied
with me. He's not looking for anything
else. He's not looking for any works out of me, any... I have
it all. Oh, the glory. of His resurrection,
the glory of where He is now, the God-man in glory as the intercessor
of His people. And listen to this. I see, I
see this. He completely glorified every
one of God's attributes. You see that? I mean the cross
completely honored and glorified and made known who God is. I love that. Verse 18, the only
begotten son which is in the bosom of the father, he shall
declare him. He declares to us who God is. Now, the resurrection is the
ground of our assurance. Who is he that condemneth? My
life's been changed. I have proof that I'm saved.
Look at the way I'm living. Look at the things I've stopped
doing and started doing. Look how different I am. I'm
a changed life. Who's going to condemn me? Paul didn't tell you anything
like that, did he? He said, Who is he that condemneth? It is
Christ that died. Yea, rather, that's risen again. who is even at the right hand
of God, who also maketh intercession for us. We beheld this glory. The resurrection of Christ is
the only thing we're allowed to glory in. God forbid that
I should glory save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now
that includes his resurrection. He died, he was raised, and the
only thing I had glory in, the only thing I have confidence
in is the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every believer has beheld
his glory when they've looked to him as all that God requires
of him, all that God requires of them. All they have, all they
need, and all they want. Nothing more, nothing less, and
nothing else. Now every believer has beheld
the glory of God in the person of Christ, his death, burial,
and resurrection. Now look what he says next in
our text. Verse 14. And the word was made
flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld his glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace
and truth. When His glory is beheld, we
see that as the only begotten of the Father, He's full of grace
and He's full of truth. He is the truth. He is the truth. He said, I am the way, the truth,
the life. He said, I came to bear witness
to the truth. And when He went to the cross, He was bearing
witness to the truth concerning who God is, who I am, and how
God saves by His Son. Full of grace and full of truth. Grace is the truth. Can I say that any more simply?
Grace is the truth. And the truth is grace. You don't have grace without
truth, and you don't have truth without grace. Grace and truth
came by Jesus Christ. He's full of grace and truth.
Now grace is an attribute of God. When He proclaimed His name
to Moses, He said, The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious,
abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands,
forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and who will by no means
clear the guilty. God is gracious. That's who He is. It's an attribute
of God. Now turn with me to Ephesians
2, and this is where we're going to end. Now, grace would be meaningless
apart from to us, apart from these three verses. So listen
to what Paul says, and you hath he quickened, given life to,
who were dead in trespasses and sins. You know, I think of when
the Lord talked about the a traveler that was attacked and left half
dead in the parable of the Good Samaritan. And somebody says,
well, how could somebody be half dead? I mean, you're either alive
or you're not. Well, he was alive physically,
but he was dead spiritually. That is the picture. You can
have physical life, you can have emotional life, you can have
a life in your soul, but you're dead. graveyard dead spiritually. And the only way you and I will
have life is if God raises us from the dead. The same power
that was exerted in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is used
in raising a dead sinner to life. If you have spiritual life, God
exerted the same power that was used in the resurrection to give
you this new man, this new life that was not there before. Verse two, wherein in time past,
this is talking about your life of being dead in sins, you walked
according to the course of this world, according to the prince
of the power of the air. The spirit that now worketh in
the children of disobedience. Every unbeliever has this spirit,
the prince of the power of the air working in them. Without exception. That's the
way you and I are by nature. Verse three, among whom also
we all had our conversation, our life, our conduct in times
past. in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling
the desires of the flesh and of the mind. And we were by nature the children
of wrath, even as others. We were born into this world
this way, children of wrath. Now, does that mean children
who are going to hell If I'm in Christ, I've been in
Him eternally. But I was born a wrathful child,
somebody who hated God, who got mad at God, who did not love
the way God saved. I was dead in sins. That's why I was born into this
world. That's why you were born into this world. But here's where
grace begins. But God, who is rich in mercy, FOR HIS
GREAT LOVE WHEREWITH HE LOVED US, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN
SINS." NOW, WITH REGARD TO EVERY BELIEVER, FOR EVERYBODY THAT
CHRIST DIED FOR, WHEN THEY WERE DEAD IN SINS, GUESS WHAT? GOD
LOVED YOU. GOD LOVED YOU. AND LOOK WHAT
IT SAYS NEXT. wherewith he loved us even when
we were dead in sins, he hath quickened us together with Christ."
Now, don't miss the phrase, the word together. You know when
I was quickened? Well, it's when you first believe
the gospel. Well, in my experience, that's when I was quickened.
But you know when I was quickened? You know when I was given life
before God so that God said concerning Todd Nyberg, he lives! When Christ
was raised from the dead, I was quickened together with him. That's three times in this passage
of scripture, he uses the word together. And we can't really
understand this without that. Look, let's go on reading. Verse... And Paul says, here's
what I mean by this. By grace, you are saved. That's what I mean by this. And
this is how saved. How saved are you? He's raised
us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in
Christ Jesus. How saved are you? I'm already
in heaven, sitting with Christ. Literally. Yep. Well, how come
I'm looking at you here? Well, you can't see him I'm in
him and I'm in heaven. I'm not as sure for heaven as
if I'm as if I'm there I am there that is true of every child of
God. That's how that's how saved I
am I'm in heaven. Can't get more saved than that.
Can you? Look what he says in verse 7. Here's what's going
to be happening in heaven that in the ages to come Eternity. He might show the exceeding riches
of his grace and his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Now Paul repeats himself, four,
by grace. are you saved? That grace and
truth that came by Jesus Christ. Never think of grace as teaching
isolated from the Lord Jesus Christ. The only way, I have
grace Because I'm in Christ. It's the grace of the Lord Jesus
Christ and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Ghost
be with you. You know the grace of our Lord
Jesus Christ that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became
poor, that you through his poverty might be rich. By grace are you saved through
faith. If somebody doesn't believe the
gospel, I'm not gonna give them any hope that they are saved.
You don't have the right to believe that God has anything for you
but wrath unless you believe the gospel of his son. Well,
if you're eternally saved, do you have to believe? You won't
be saved if you don't. Everybody that's eternally saved
in eternity will believe in time. By grace are you saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves. Do
I have to argue that point with any believer? No. You know that faith is the gift
of God. It's not something you worked
up. You know that. If you have faith, there was
a time when you didn't have faith. You do now, and you know why
you have it. Because he gave it to you. That not of yourselves. It's the gift of God, not of
works, lest any man should boast. Now, according to that passage
of scripture, if you don't believe faith is the gift of God, do
you believe in salvation by works? Plain and simple. Four, verse
10, we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works. which God hath before ordained
that we should walk in them. The only begotten Son of God
is grace, is truth, is our salvation. I hope we can never lose the
wonder of this. God was manifest in the flesh. Paul said, great is the mystery
of godliness. The word was made flesh and dwelt
among us and we beheld his glory. The glory is of the only begotten.
That's talking about his resurrection. Full of grace and full of truth. Let's pray. Lord, we stand amazed at your gospel and how it could be for sinners
such as we. Truly, we stand amazed in the
presence of Jesus the Nazarene, and wonder how he could love
us, sinners condemned unclean. We are so grateful for the revelation
of thy only begotten and well-beloved son. Reveal yourself to each one of
us for Christ's sake. In his name we pray, amen. Let's close with 232 when I see
the blood. And number 232. Christ our Redeemer died on the
cross, died for the sinner, paid all his due. Sprinkle your soul
with the blood of the Lamb, and I will pass, will pass over you. When I see the blood, When I
see the blood, When I see the blood, I will pass, I will pass
over you. Chiefest of sinners, Jesus will
save, All He has promised that He will do. Wash in the fountain,
open for sin, and I will pass, will pass over you. When I see the blood, when I
see the blood, when I see the blood, I will pass, I will pass
over you. ? Judgment is coming, all will
be there ? Each one receiving justly his due ? Hide in the
saving, sin-cleansing blood ? And I will pass, will pass over you
? When I see the blood, when I see the blood see the blood. When I see the blood, I will
pass, I will pass over you. O great compassion, O boundless
love, O loving kindness, faithful and true, find peace and shelter
under the blood, and I will pass, will pass over you. When I see
the blood When I see the blood When I see the blood I will pass,
