Turn with me in your Bibles again
to the book of Colossians. Colossians chapter three. I typically don't tell you the
title of the message to begin with, but I'm going to this time.
The title is Christ is all. A lot of times people will say
that to each other. Christ is all, even in religion.
False religion, men will say Christ is all. Any person that
professes that they are in the religion of Christianity, they
will say unto you that Christ is all. But as soon as you say
that, the other day I had someone ask me, what denomination is
your church? And I said, we're non-denominational.
We preach Christ crucified, Christ is all. He said to me, yeah,
yeah, Christ is all, but, but, and he had questions. And I said,
you don't understand what I'm saying. I've already answered
your questions every question that would proceed after Christ
is all. We preach Christ crucified. You can fill in the blank with
the but of religion it doesn't matter what would proceed after
yeah I know Christ is all but. Whatever you want to fill it
in with, men have different convoluted notions and thoughts and schemes
and things that's been, they think, discovered, but to the
Lord's people, Christ is all. Christ is all. And Christ being
all is the offense of the gospel. Him being all is the stumbling
block of the religious. He's the stumbling block to the
religious. And he's the foolishness to the educated. It's too simple.
Christ is all. It's just too simple. Men and religion stumble at that.
that are educated think it's foolishness, but to his people,
him being all is our life. It's all our hope. It's all our
justification before God. He's all of our justification
before God. He is all he's all of our rest and peace. The Lord
Jesus Christ being all is our everything. It's our everything. Now, Paul declares this truth
in Colossians chapter three, verse 11, but I want to read
two verses prior for the context of the latter to understand what
he's saying. So look with me, Colossians three, verse nine,
lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old
man with his deeds and have put on the new man, which is renewed
in knowledge after the image of him that created him. where
there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision or uncircumcision,
barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free, but Christ is all and in
all." What does Paul mean when he says Christ is all. He begins expounding that there
is no difference in creed, in heritage, in physical works,
in keeping of the law, in what we do at all. There's no difference.
There's no difference. And he says, you've put off the
old man. What does that mean? That means we're no longer looking
to self in any way, in any shape, in any form. We're looking to
the Lord Jesus Christ, and he tells us why. Christ is all. The only way that we have put
off the old man is if God's the doer of it. You and I see the
old man every time we look in the mirror, don't we? There he
is, my worst enemy. I'm looking right at him in that
mirror, that's it. That's the old man. He says,
you've put off the old man. How? How? because you've been
given a new nature in the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ has been
made all unto you. We no longer look at ourself.
God gives faith that looks to Christ. He does this by his eternal
spirit. And we see the new man in hope
of what he says it is in verse 10. Look at that again and have
put on the new man, which is renewed in the knowledge after
the image of him that created the new man is in the image of
Christ. And what does that new man always confess? And what
will that new man confess for eternity? Christ is all. Christ is all. We see him now
as he is. He's exalted. He's seated. He's sovereign. He's the successful
savior of sinners. Christ is all. Christ is all. Philippians 2.9 says, wherefore
God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which
is above every name. that at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow of things in heaven and things in earth and
things under the earth and that every tongue should confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Now only the
Lord Jesus Christ can give repentance and faith. Only God can give
repentance and faith. that causes a sinner to declare
Christ is all, that Christ Jesus is Lord. He's not just Savior. He's Lord and Savior. That's
what faith declares, isn't it? That's what repentance and faith
declares. Christ is the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, what is repentance and faith
causes also is that not just declaring that he will be all
or that he is all sometimes, or that he's all always he's
all right now, he's all right now. And he's all right now. Christ Jesus didn't attempt to
save he didn't try to accomplish something. Christ is all in salvation. Christ accomplished salvation,
didn't he? It was purposed Everyone, and I mean everyone, man, woman,
boy, and girl that stands before our sovereign Lord, that stands
before God, whether it be on judgment day or they go by the
way of the grave, when they are face to face with Him, everyone
will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. What great designs of
grace and mercy that we can declare that right now from the heart.
That we can see him and say Christ is all to the glory of God the
Father. Christ is Lord to the glory of
God the Father. If you can do that, it's only
because he's given you faith that believes him. It's only
because we've been given repentance that confesses I'm nothing. He's
everything. I'm the sinner. He's the Savior. He's sovereign. He's successful.
I have no way of bringing anything to him. He's talking to someone
after the first hour and about how polluted we are in our flesh
in the very moment. If we could see it, we can't
see this, but this is how it is. Every time that we touch
something, we've defiled it. I just defiled that because I
touched it because of what I am. See, that's what repentance reveals
unto us, that we're wretched, vile creatures and we have to
have the perfectly righteous Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. We gotta have him. Christ is
all. Christ is all, that's what faith drives us to, isn't it,
is Christ, over and over. And when Paul said Christ is
all, what did he mean? What did he mean? And I think
I've already elaborated quite a bit on it, but. If the Lord
would be pleased to answer that question into our heart, if we
could answer the question from the heart, what does he mean
Christ is all? Then the Lord would be revealing his salvation.
And seeing Christ as all, Christ is salvation. Don't misunderstand. Christ is all. And Christ is
salvation. And seeing him, and seeing him,
seeing the Lord Jesus Christ, that is salvation. The only way
that we can do that is if he gives us the faith that looks
to him. He's made us alive. So if he's pleased to reveal
what the statement mean Christ is all then he would be revealing
his salvation. Only by his doing can we understand that only by
his doing can we rest in Christ is all. See, you and I have a
problem, among other problems that we have. Our greatest problem
is that we want to do something. By nature, when the curse was
given to Adam, he says, you're going to eat bread by the sweat
of your face. You're going to work the rest of your life. So naturally,
Cain thought, OK, well, if we work, I'm going to give him the
best. I'm going to bring this. I've done this. I'm going to
present this to him. The Lord says, no, you can't work for this. This is my salvation. It's by
blood alone. It's by the Lamb's blood. And
that's why he accepted Abel. You and I by nature want to do
something. We want to see something with
these natural eyes. Faith just says Christ is all. That's the confession. It's not
what we do or what we have done or what we're going to do. Christ
is all. 1 Corinthians 8, 6. Tells us, but to us there is
but one God, the Father. Of whom are all things and we
in him and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we
by him. All things are in him, all things
are by him, all things are for him, all things are to him. Then he tells us another place,
because he is above all, he's through all, and he's in you
all. Faith, just believe Christ is all. Christ is all. Do I mean
that he is all concerning salvation? Yes, there's nothing to be done.
Do I mean that He is all in the regeneration of a sinner? Yes,
Christ is all. Do I mean that He is all our
justification before God? Yes, yes. In Hebrews chapter
five, verse nine, it says, the Lord Jesus Christ being made
perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto them
that obey Him. We can't add to perfection. We
can't take away from perfection. He's perfect. Christ Jesus was
made perfect. No one can improve on eternal
salvation, Christ is all. In all things pertaining to eternity,
Christ is all. Revelation tells us, the Lord
said, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first
and the last, which was, which is, and which is to come, the
Almighty. all things pertaining to eternity."
Everything that, and we use terms, and I've made this mistake before,
we talk about for the rest of time, and we said, and we'll
be there for all eternity. Well, that's making, that's putting
a time frame on eternity. We can't wrap our minds around
that. We can't wrap our minds around the eternal God, never
had a beginning, never has an end. How can you understand that?
Well, I can't. Faith just says Christ is all.
Christ is all, I can't explain it, but I know that Christ is
all in everything pertaining to eternity, and He's everything
pertaining to time, isn't He? He's everything pertaining to
time. John 1 says, all things were made by Him, and without
Him was not anything made that was made, including time. Time
is by His design. It's another instrument in the
orchestra of His sovereign grace to His elected sinners. It's
another instrument in His orchestra of salvation. It always plays
for His glory and His honor. Christ is all in time. Time does not dictate Him. Time
is dictated by His will. It's dictated by His purpose.
It's dictated by His authority. In all things pertaining to life,
Christ is all. This is what it, whenever I said,
what did Paul mean? I'm telling us what Paul meant.
He's all things pertaining to eternity. He's all things pertaining
to time. He's all things pertaining to
life. Christ is all pertaining to everything in life. John one
tells us in him was life and the life was the light of men. Without Christ Jesus, the Lord
saying live, there is no life. He is the life. We heard just
a moment ago, I am the way, the truth, and the life. The, that's
singular, isn't it? That's singular. One Lord, one
faith, one baptism. One way, the Lord Jesus Christ.
One truth, the Lord Jesus Christ. One life, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Christ is all. Christ is all. And unto his people, we know
that our life is hid with Christ in God. The just shall live by
his, that's how we live. It's in him we live, we move,
and we have our being, the scripture says. Our life is hid with him
in God, in Christ, with God in Christ. The just shall live by
his faith. Christ is life to his people. Christ is all to his people. Revelation 118 tells us, I am
he that liveth. and was dead, and behold, I am
alive forevermore." And then, interestingly enough, he puts
the word amen after that. There's nothing else to add to
that. You can't take anything away
from that. I am he that was dead, and I am alive forevermore, and
I have the keys of death and of hell. That's what he tells
us. That means he's all things pertaining to life and all things
pertaining to death. Christ is all in all things pertaining
to death. He has the keys of death. I don't
know how to explain or how to understand this, but it's true.
Death had to die unto Christ. It had to be put away. We see
that. We won't taste the sting of death because Christ died
for his people in their stead. Death had to relinquish the Lord
Jesus Christ. He had no sin upon him. He put
away all the sin of his people. was gone. Death had no claim
upon him. So in that light, death had to
die. He's all things pertaining to death to his people. Having made atonement for the
sin of his people, death had no power over him. or those that
were in him. I love that. Death has no power
over him or those who were in him when he died. He's all things
to his people in pertaining to everything of life and death,
isn't he? In all things concerning the
will of God, in all things concerning the will of God, Christ is all. John six says, and this is the
father's will. And I'm going to pause for a
second and apologize for Wednesday night. We had a technical difficulties.
I didn't get to stream or record that, but those of you who weren't
here, it was about the Lord's will. It was about the Lord's
will that he literally had a will and testament and Christ Jesus
is the one that fulfilled that will and was resurrected. And normally you, whenever someone
dies, that's whenever their will would be enacted by the guarantor,
the one that would perform it. Christ Jesus is the guarantor
because he's resurrected. So in all things pertaining to
the will of God, Christ is all and tells us in John six, and
this is the father's will, which has sent me that of all which
he hath given me, I should lose nothing. but should raise it
up again at the last day. This is the will of Him that
sent me, that everyone which seeth the Son and believeth on
Him may have everlasting life, and I will raise Him up at the
last day." The Lord Jesus Christ is the living Word of God, fulfilled
the will of God in every aspect for His people. In all things
pertaining to the will of God, Christ is all. He's the only
one that could have fulfilled the will of God. He's the only
one that could have redeemed. Which angel did the Lord look
at and say, you're worthy to redeem my people? There was none. You remember in revelation when
John, the Lamb's book of life was presented in the, uh, it
said, who is worthy to loose the seals and open the book thereof.
You remember that account? And John says, It was searched
in heaven and in the earth and under the earth and none was
found worthy. No angel in heaven was found worthy to redeem God's
people. And John began to weep. He said,
we have no hope then. We're hopeless. And the elder
touched him and said, weep not, John, for behold, Christ is all. Christ is all the lamb of God. The lion, he says, the root of
Jesse hath prevailed. The Lord Jesus Christ hath prevailed.
He's worthy to take the book, to open the book, to loose the
seals thereof, to endure the wrath of God. Christ is all.
Christ is all. Why did Christ take that book?
Because it was his will that none of his people perish. Don't
misunderstand something you and I can't get in the Lamb's Book
of Life or get out of the Lamb's Book of Life the Lord's the one
that wrote that And everyone that was written in that book
Christ Jesus washed them in his precious blood. That's why he's
all He's all in salvation. He chose I mentioned this the
first hour and won't reiterate At length, but he chose to redeem
He wasn't The only obligation that he had was according to
his word. Understand that. He wasn't obligated
just because we were created. He didn't have to do anything. He's God, and yet he chose to
redeem. He chose to die. He chose to
endure the eternal wrath of God on the cross. He chose to pour
out his blood. He chose to honor the Father in his will in every
way. This is what makes him all to
his people. Everyone written in that Lamb's
Book of Life was redeemed by what Christ did. Everyone Christ
died for was redeemed on the cross of Calvary. That's why Christ is all pertaining
to the eternal redemption of his people. I like that word
eternal redemption, don't you? That takes time out of it. He
had He redeemed, when did he redeem his people? Before time
and in time. Now explain that. I don't know how to explain that.
But by his word, his people were justified. By his blood, his
people were justified. By him, Christ is our justification
before God and he's never changed. We believe that, don't we? Christ
is all. Christ is all. Therefore, in all things concerning
salvation, Christ is all. His life, what part of His life
did we have to do with? What part of His death did we
have to do with? What part of His blood do we
have to do with? Nothing, Christ is all. It's His life, His death,
His blood, His sacrifice, His burial, His resurrection, His
ascension. What part do you and I play in
that role? Nothing, nothing, Christ is all. Christ is all. Christ is salvation. in all things pertaining to justification. Somebody said, and I made this
statement one time about faith. The Lord's looking, if I don't
have the faith of Christ, I have no justification before God.
That's true. That's true. But Christ is our justification
before God. That's very clear in the scripture.
Very clear in the scripture. Christ is all pertaining to justification. The Lord tells us in Romans chapter
eight, who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect.
It is God that justifies it. See Christ is all in the justification
of his people. And how are we justified by his
own blood, by his own blood, by his life, by his death, everything
I just said before, by his burial, his resurrection, everything
that he did, everything that he was and he is forever. The
sacrifice of himself on Calvary's cross, everything that he worked
is our justification before God. Christ is our only justification
before God. We do nothing to make it effectual.
We do nothing to make it applicable. We do nothing to
apply it. We do nothing to refuse it or
accept it, do we? No, Christ is all. Christ is
all. And all things pertaining to
sanctification, Christ is all. God's people were made holy as
he is. Did we do that? Did I make myself
holy? Well, I just mentioned about
how that we touch something, we've defiled it. The moment
we touch the, you remember, I think we were talking about this the
other day. One of you, I can't remember
who it was now, but anyways, it was Uzzah. Do you remember Uzzah
in the scripture? They had the Ark of the Covenant,
the only thing that they had that they could worship God with.
This is where he said, I'll meet with you right here. This is
where you put the blood on the mercy seat. I'm giving you this.
We heard the first hour from Leviticus. It's the blood of
the Lord Jesus Christ is what it represents. We know that.
But he said, this is where I'm going to meet with you. Well,
the Ark had been taken to the Philistines and the Lord cursed
them with all kinds of different things. I'm not going to go into
detail with that. But they said, take this thing back. We don't
want it anymore. And they came down to get it. They put it on
a cart. Well, the Lord didn't tell them to put it on the cart.
That's a picture of men propping up the gospel, propping up what
the Lord's done, not saying that Christ is all. We got to prop
this thing up a little bit. Well, that was their first mistake.
The second one was whenever Uzzah saw it about to fall, and I believe
it was with the best intentions, don't you? I believe he wasn't
trying to be defiant towards God. He wasn't trying to be rebellious
towards God. He put his hand forth, didn't
he? And he touched it. What happened to him? Lord said,
you ain't gonna defile my righteousness. You're not gonna defile me. I'm
holy. Killed him instantly. Killed
him instantly. The life source of his body left
him. left him. See, we can't touch
the holiness of God. We didn't make ourselves holy.
What's the rest of the account give us? Well, it says for three
months the ark sat there because everybody was scared to death
to bring it back. David said, leave it alone. We ain't going
to mess with it. Finally, David desired to worship God and he
said, but we're going to do it right this time. We're going
to do it the right way. He put on an ephod, which is a priestly
robe, and he got the men to go down with him. They put the staves
in it properly, and every six steps that they took, they made
a sacrifice. Every six steps. Now, it was about three miles,
so you can do the math. I don't know the math. That's a lot of
sacrifices. That's a lot of sacrifices, from
where it was to Jerusalem. What's the point of that? Lord,
if we're gonna worship you, we're gonna have to confess, number
six is the number of man, isn't it? We're gonna have to confess
that we are all sin, Christ is all righteousness. We are all
undone, Christ is our fullness. We are all unrighteous, Christ
is our righteousness. And that's what David was confessing
every six steps. Lord, we want to worship you,
We're gonna have to worship you in spirit and in truth. It's
not by, you're gonna have to do it all. If we're going to
see you, if we're going to glorify you, if we're gonna worship you,
Lord, you're gonna have to do it all. You're gonna have to
make us alive. You're gonna have to give us repentance and faith. You're
gonna have to send your spirit and power. You're gonna have
to do it all. Christ is all. Christ sanctified his people
and made them holy. Now the veil in the temple has
been written twain from top to bottom, and he says, come. You
can approach now. You can approach the throne of
the very throne of God, the holiest of holiest of holies. The place
wherein we would have died if we even stepped foot into before
has now been opened up to God's people to enter in boldly with
full confidence. Christ is all. Worship him in
spirit and truth We can approach him. He's approachable now. Why because Christ is all because
of what he did on the cross of Calvary I Christ is all in glorification. Would the Lord say them he did
foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image
of his son. Moreover, whom he did predestinate he called, and
whom he called he justified, and whom he justified he glorified.
He's all in glorification. That's all past tense, isn't
it? He's all in glorification of his people. find so much joy in the thought. And I, you know, we lose sight
of this, but one day when we see him face to face, it will
be his glory revealed in us that we have right now. I can't enter
into that. We have his glory in us. He said,
Father, the glory that you've given me, I've given, I have,
not I'm going to. Do we see that? I have given
them. In his heart, we have his glory
already in us. And he says, I'm going to reveal
that unto you one day. When we see Him face to face,
when we've dropped this body of flesh and we are made in His
image, we see that we have always been there. We were glorified
in Him. His glory is revealed in us.
What do you think our confession's gonna be? Yeah, Lord, I got these
jewels in my crown because I did this and I did that. No, it'll
be Christ is all. Christ is all. That'll be the
song for the ceaseless ages, won't it? That'll be the song
for eternity. Christ is all. Christ is all concerning the
knowledge of God, concerning the knowledge of God. First Corinthians
chapter four tells us, for God who commanded the light to shine
out of darkness, hath shined in our heart to give the light
of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. The light of his gospel by his
spirit shines into one singular object. If the gospel is preached
simply and clearly, nothing added to, nothing taken away, according
to the Lord's spirit, it's his doing, it shines to one singular
object always, the Lord Jesus Christ. That's what the gospel
shines to. This is what the knowledge of
God reveals and shows. This is what the Lord does by
his spirit when the gospel is declared. It points by faith
to the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ is, and so many times
we see words and we don't, you can apply the word wisdom when
you see it, the wisdom of God. You can just put Christ, Lord
Jesus Christ in there. Christ is the wisdom of God.
Christ is the knowledge of God. Do we see that? Christ is the
mystery. The Lord Jesus Christ is the mystery of God. Christ
is all, and we can't, I can't, I can't elaborate enough on that. Christ is all, we can take that
as far as we want. As a matter of fact, there is
nothing about God that is not revealed in Jesus Christ. Think about that. There is nothing
about God, no attribute, no character, no holiness. There's nothing
about God that is not revealed in the Lord Jesus Christ. Everything
about him is in the person, the Lord Jesus Christ, everything. Christ is all. Christ is all
that God is and all that God is is in Christ Jesus. Now we
see that only by faith and we believe it only by faith and
he's the doer of it. I thought it was. I don't like
using the term ironic. I think that's the wrong word
whenever you're preaching, because nothing is ironic. I love that
it was purposed, is what I want to say, that you read from John,
because that's exactly what I have written down here. And we had
it in the bulletin, and we didn't talk. Me and Al didn't have a
conversation. But the disciples said, Lord, show us the Father.
You remember him reading that a few minutes ago. Show us the Father.
And he said, have I been so long time with you? He said, I am.
When you've seen me, you've seen the Father. Every attribute,
every character, every part of the Lord is found in the Lord
Jesus Christ. He said, when you've seen me,
you've seen the Father. Men want to see a sign, don't
they? They want to see something. They want to see evidences. They
want to be wowed. They want to have... You can
pull up on the internet if you want to, different things they
call revivals. And I was listening, I should
not have listened, but I listened for a few seconds to, in my hometown,
they have something going on right now called a revival and
it's a tent and they have preachers come in and they make a show
of, and that's what it is, a show, they would disagree, but can't
even hear the preacher because everybody's shouting and making
noises. And it's, it's just, it's, it's not, has nothing to
do with God, has absolutely nothing to do with God, has to do with
self. Well, what's my point in that? Well, what I'm trying to
say is that men want to have some, some kind of evidence.
And what they're saying is, is let's see God working. We got
to see him working. We got, that's what they're doing.
They don't realize they're saying the same thing. The disciple
says, show us the father. We need a sign. What did Christ
say about a sign? A wicked and adulterous generation
seeketh after a sign, but there'll be no sign given, but that of
the prophet Jonah. What did he mean? It's the death. The burial
and the resurrection of Christ by his blood alone, Christ is
all. That's what Christ was saying
there. That's what the Lord was saying to them. Don't look for evidences
outside of Christ Jesus alone. He is evidence enough. He is
all. He is all. We don't put on a
show to say, well, we, boy, the Lord really met with us, man.
This one guy ran the pews three times and I've seen that before.
No, that's, That's not Christ, that's not the Lord, that's not
God's doing, that's man's doing. You know what the gospel does,
it points to him, it doesn't draw attention to ourself. I
have, and you probably have too, several times, you'll be listening
and you'll say amen, but it's not a matter of vocalizing to
draw attention to yourself, is it? You just found yourself saying
that, and you're like, well, I guess, I hope I didn't say that too
loud. Why? Because we're not trying to draw
attention to ourself. Christ is all. That's what I'm
trying to tell you. That's our hope. Christ is all. We want to see miracles and signs. That's what they told the Lord
when they came to him. They said, Lord, the Lord looked at him and said,
you're not here to hear. You're here because you're wanting
your bellies full. He said, you're here because I gave you the loaves
and the fishes. That's why you're here. You're here for the miracles.
And what did the Lord do? He preached the gospel to them
and every one of them left. He said, except you eat of my
body and you drink of my blood, you have no part with me. They
said, how are we gonna eat his body and drink his blood? They
thought he was talking about cannibalism, didn't they? That's not what
he was talking about. To the believer, we know exactly
what he means by that. That's what we're doing right
now, isn't it? Looking to Christ, that's what he's talking about.
Looking to his finished work alone. Lord, I've got to have
that blood applied. I've got to have your body as
my sustenance. Because you're all, you're all
to your people. That's our prayer, isn't it?
Faith doesn't look to self or miracles or signs. Faith believes
this simple truth. Christ is all. The Lord looked
at the 12 after everybody had left then and he said, are you
gonna depart too? Are you gonna leave too? Will
you go away also with them? That's what he said. Lord, whom
shall we go? Where will we go? Where shall
we go? Christ is all. You have the words
of eternal life. That's what they said, Christ
is all to it, didn't they? That's what they were saying. Lord,
we ain't got nowhere else to go. In him dwelleth the fullness of
God. You can't add anything to fullness, can you? Can't add
anything to fullness. He's the fullness. Christ is
all. Christ is all in the wisdom of
God. Christ is all as the wisdom of God. It's not about what we
know, but who we know. Christ is all in the wisdom of
God. First Corinthians 130, I quote
this often, but it said, but of him, but of God are ye in
Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, righteousness,
sanctification, and redemption. Christ is all those. Is He everything
to you? If He is, it's because He's given
you faith that's made Him everything to you. He's everything to the
Lord's people, isn't He? Christ is all. We confess we know nothing, say
Jesus Christ, and is crucified. That's what Paul said. I'm determined
to know nothing among you. He said, when I came to you,
I didn't come with enticing words of man's wisdom. I didn't come
with signs and wonders and showings of great things. He said, I'm
determined to know nothing among you, say Jesus Christ, and Him
crucified. Is that what we're determined
to know? Lord, I got to know you. I got to know you, or I
have no hope. Christ is all the glory of God,
and Christ is the glory of His people. Christ is all in the
glory of God, and Christ is all the glory to His people. We don't
want glory. We don't wanna be recognized.
I mentioned to you before, and I mentioned to several people
coming up here, like, Lord's got the wrong guy. I don't wanna
be on, I don't wanna be seen and heard. I don't, Lord gets
all the glory in this. Lord, keep us. Lord, keep us. You get all the glory. John 17,
22 says, in the glory which thou gavest me, I have given them.
That they may be one, even as we are one. He's praying to his
father, we know that. That they may be one even. as
we are one, I in them and thou in me." It goes right along with
what Al read in John a little bit ago. I in them and thou in
me that they may be made perfect in one and that the world may
know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them as thou hast
loved me. Well, he gets all the glory,
doesn't he? How can we put ourself in Christ?
We can't, but he did. He put His people in Himself
and He is in His Father. We are one. Christ is all. Now, in closing, I want to give
us a warning. A warning. Any doctrine, any doctrine that
leads us or that teaches us to look to anything other than the
Lord Jesus Christ is a false doctrine. It doesn't matter what
the doctrine is. Any doctrine Anything that teaches
us to look to anything other than the Lord Jesus Christ, it's
not of God. Any preaching that leads us away
from the simplicity of the finished work of Christ is a false gospel. All that God requires for sinners
salvation is found in Christ Jesus. All that God gives to
those sinners is Christ as their salvation. All that we will ever
need in time, all that we will ever need in eternity is found
in the Lord Jesus Christ. All wisdom, all righteousness,
all sanctification, all redemption, all forgiveness of sin, all love,
all joy, all, we have peace with God. Can you put a, we can't
put a price on that. Not a physical price, we know
the price. It was the blood of Christ. That's what it took.
It took him laying down his life. That was the cost for us to have
peace with God. But the Lord's people have peace
with God. We can enter boldly to the throne
of grace, having obtained mercy. Find grace to help in the time
of need. Why? Christ is all. Christ is all. We've been given his mercy and
his grace that's only found in Jesus Christ. We know that his
mercy and grace is only found in the Lord Jesus Christ. And
to his people, to those that he loved, those that he died
for, those that he redeemed, he makes Christ as their all. Can you say amen?
