Good morning again. Let's open
the second hour with the hymn that's on the back of your bulletin. Let's all stand together. ? Jesus, his church is building
? Its rock is God's dear son ? He ever will be shielding ?
The called ones he makes one The gates of hell shall never
against his church prevail, for Jesus is forever the rock that
will not fail. This blessed Church of Jesus
is to the Church of God. He purchased its releases with
His redeeming blood. This is the Great Assembly and
Church of the Firstborn. In God's book was their entry
before creation's morn. ? This is the house of Jesus
? Truth's pillar and its ground ? Its cornerstone most precious
? In Jesus Christ is found ? He is its firm foundation ? Each
saint a living stone They are by His creation a temple for
God's Son. Christ loved His church so greatly,
He chose it for His wife. To prove His love most stately,
He gave for her His life. He sanctified and cleansed her
With washing by the Word. In heaven he'll present her,
all glorious in her Lord. Please be seated. I always struggle asking God,
please tell me what you want read. Today I have to say God
is a God of providence. Please join me in reading Romans
chapter 10. Romans chapter 10. I'm here to say this morning,
the word of God says they shall, all of his people, be taught
of God. And when God, I've learned when
God teaches you something, you're taught. You don't forget it.
You don't question it. You know for absolute certainty
that it is true. That's not true when you're taught
of men. And these four verses, God has bestowed, they took a
branding iron to my heart and soul and branded it on me. And
every day they come to my mind. Paul is pleading to God. for the salvation of not only
his soul, but the soul of his lost loved ones. And that's the difference between
religion and gospel. If you're a believer, you plead with God
for the souls of our lost loved ones. We don't plead with the
lost because they don't want to hear it. If they're to be
saved, God's going to have to save them. We want to share their
need for Christ with them, here's Paul's prayer. Verse 1, Brethren,
my harsh desire and prayer to God for Israel, that's his brothers
and sisters in the flesh, is that they might be saved. For
I bear them record that they have a zeal of God. These are
religious people. This hits my home like none other.
Very religious. Go to church, read their Bible,
drive the church bus, do all those things, accept Jesus, but
not according to knowledge. They have a zeal, but they have
no knowledge of God. And here's what they don't know.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, that is Christ,
and their errors, they're going about to establish their own
righteousness. and have not submitted themselves
unto the righteousness of God. They are working their way to
heaven. And take whatever flavor of religion you want, it's all
the same. Rather than trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as He
is the only righteousness that God's going to accept. Verse 4, for Christ is the end
of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. My lost loved ones will not come
to Christ. They will not come to the light.
And the Lord says the reason they won't come is because they
don't want their good deeds to be reproved. And they are ignorant of the
righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. And they are going about
to establish their own righteousness. And the good news, I thought,
what comfort is this to the people of God? If God has taught you
that the only righteousness He'll accept is that of the Lord Jesus
Christ and give you the faith to rest on Christ, you'll know
then you've been taught of God. You haven't been taught of man. And I'm so thankful that Most
of what I know about God, he has been pleased to reveal himself
while sitting under the preaching of the gospel. And I pray that
for my own lost loved ones, that that might happen for them. Let
us try to pray this morning, if you would. Lord, we ask that you would take
this prayer as sinful and feeble as it is, and that you would
make it acceptable to God the Father. We confess to you, Lord,
we have no righteousness. All the righteousness we think
we have is filthy rags and is evil in your sight. And we pray, Lord, that you would
speak to our hearts and give us the faith to rest in Christ
and that you would give us his righteousness. the only hope
that would save us. We pray this morning for your
servant and our brother and wherever your people gather that you would
enable him, your gospel preachers, to speak clearly and concisely
and boldly. And as your people, you would
give us your spirit to not only hear it, but the faith to believe
it, that we might know the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. And
we plead for those who are ignorant of that, that this might be the
day, Lord, that you would make them willing and make yourself
known to them. And we plead with you for that.
We ask it in your name and for your glory. Amen. Let's all stand together once
again. We'll sing hymn number eight that's in the spiral hymn
book, number eight. Oh, Lord, our hearts and souls
aspire to lift up from this earthly mire. Oh, may we think of heavenly
things and know the joy thy presence brings. Lord, let us see the
Savior's face, and let us taste of thy sweet grace. May open ears thy glories hear,
and may we smell thy fragrance near. ? Be pleased to open heaven's
door ? And on our heads thy blessings pour ? All wretched, poor, and
needy we ? Where can we go if not to thee Oh, may this day be blessed the
most that Jesus Christ becomes the host to feed our souls with
living bread and with our souls in joy to wed. Please be seated. We're going
to have special music now from Adam Charon and Grace, I mean,
Rachel Lacey. Thou my vision, O Lord of my
heart. Thou be all else to me save that
Thou art. Thou my best thought by day or
by night. Waking or sleeping, Thy presence
my light. Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my
true word. I ever with Thee, and Thou with
me, Lord. Thou my great Father, I Thy true
son. Thou me dwelling, and I with
Thee one. Riches I need not, no hands and
deep grave. Thou mine inheritance, now and
always. Thou and Thou only, first in
my heart. High King of Heaven. My King of Heaven, my Victory
Lord, May I reach Heaven's joys, O bright Heaven's Son, The heart
of my heart, whatever befall. Still be my vision, O Ruler of
all, Thank you, Adam and Rachel. Will
you open your Bibles with me to Psalm 80. Psalm 80. What a beautiful song. Be thou my vision. That's our
hope. In Psalm 80, there's a verse
that's repeated three times. You find it the first time in
verse 3. Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine upon
us, and we shall be saved. When God's face shines, God's
people understand very well by their experience and by scripture
how often they need to be turned again. Turn us again, oh God. Cause thy face to shine again,
oh God. And if you will, we'll be saved. We'll be saved. My greatest need
is to be saved. My greatest hope is my salvation
in Christ. We're not saved, nothing else
matters. If we are saved, nothing else
matters. Oh, may God be pleased to shine
the light of his gospel in our hearts again this morning in
the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every child of God knows by experience
what it is to have their hearts grow faint. to have their zeal
grow cold, to have their prayers wanting, to have their hunger and thirst
for righteousness assuaged. How oftentimes we lose sight
of the Lord Jesus Christ. We saw last Sunday from Psalm
78 how much like the Israelites we are. The Lord blessed them. And they gloried in those blessings
and then forgot the Lord and how the Lord chastised them and
brought them back to Himself. How often we are the same way.
How often our interest in the Word of God is overshadowed by
our interest in the world. And we cry once again, turn us
again, O God. Cause thy face to shine upon
us and we shall be saved. Lord, I turn from you. And as a result of that, I've
lost the radiance of thy face and the hope and assurance of
my salvation. Turn us again, oh God. When the shield of faith is let
down, the fiery darts of the devil pierce our hearts, don't
they? Lord, turn us again. Cause us
to look in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ, that that shield
of faith might quench the fiery darts of the devil. Some the
Lord allows to remain in a state of out of fellowship with him for
a long period of time. Sometimes believers are like
David, who went the better part of a year without seeing the
face of God. And seeking to atone for himself
in his own righteousness, found it to be of no avail until the
prophet finally came to him and said, thou art the man. David
responded by saying, I have sinned, and the prophet said, and God's
forgiven you of your sin. He's forgiven you. He's going
to cause his face to shine again upon you, and you'll have the
hope of your salvation. Some, like Peter, were left to
wallow in the guilt and shame of their own sin for just a few
days before the Lord came and said, tell Peter, tell Peter
that I've risen. And then the Lord met with Peter
one-on-one, didn't he? Peter, lovest thou me? What was
the Lord saying to Peter? Lovest thou me? Saying, Peter,
you don't love me anything, I love you. And your love for me is
determined by my love for you. Our inability to remain in constant
fellowship and contact with the Lord because of this world in
which we live and the flesh that we live in causes us every day
to say, turn us again, oh God. Turn us again, oh God. Cause
thy face to shine upon us and we shall be saved. And someone
may be listening right now and think, well, I'm not sure God's
face has ever shined upon me. I'm not sure if I've ever been
saved. You too can pray, turn us again, oh God, for there was
a day when you walked in the cool of the day in your father,
Adam, all the way back there in the
garden. We were all there. We had fellowship with God. He
talked with us and walked with us, revealed himself to us, until
in rebellion against him, we fell out of fellowship with him.
And so the person who's never seen the face of God, who's never
enjoyed the salvation of God's grace can say, Lord, I fell in
Adam. I'm out of fellowship with you.
Turn me again back to you. Cause your face to shine upon
me and I shall be saved. we often hear people say well
god's face shined on them didn't they when they when they enjoy
some temporal blessing financial gain or or something very special
the birth of a child god's face shined upon them well that's
not what we're looking at when we're talking about the face
of god shining the face of god shining in our hearts is better
than any material blessing that God could possibly give. Turn
with me to Psalm 4. Psalm 4. There be many that say, verse
6, I'm sorry, Psalm 4, verse 6, there be many who say, who
will show us any good? I want God's face to shine upon
me. I want something good from God. Lord, lift up the light
of thy countenance upon us. And when he does, here's what
we'll say. Thou hast put gladness in my
heart more than in their time of corn and their wine increased. When God's face shines upon us,
he puts gladness in our hearts. He gives us the hope of our salvation
in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. He causes us to rest
and to rejoice in something that is so much better than anything
this world has to offer. That's what we're talking about
when we pray for God's face to shine upon us. not for Him just
to deliver us out of a difficult time, but for Him to deliver
us from our unbelief and to bring us into fellowship with Him. Lord, restore unto me that which
I lost in my father, Adam. When the Lord's face shines,
it shines only on the righteous. People say, well, God's face
shined on him and they're not a believer. No, he didn't. No,
it didn't. No, whatever profit they've enjoyed
in this world will be to their judgment. It'll be to their curse
if the face of God doesn't shine in their heart in the light of
the gospel of God's grace in Christ. The scripture says in
Psalm 11, verse 7, the Lord, the righteous Lord loveth righteousness
and his countenance, his shining face doth uphold the upright. So when God's face shines, he
upholds those that are righteous in Christ. And to repeat a phrase
that I've made before and goes along with the message from the
first hour, All the righteous believe themselves to be unrighteous.
And all the unrighteous believe themselves to be righteous. So
we're not talking about how you see yourself. We're talking about
how God sees you in Christ. And if you're in Christ, you're
righteous. And the Lord says, my countenance shines on my righteousness. In Psalm 21 verse six, Thou hast made Him exceedingly
glad with Thy countenance. So when the face of God is pleased
to shine on us, when He's pleased to turn us in faith to Christ,
and He's pleased to affirm to our hearts His mercy in salvation,
the scripture says, Thou hast made Him exceedingly glad with
Thy countenance. That's what we're talking about.
When we're praying for the face of God to shine, we're talking
about something that happens in the heart. We're talking about
a spiritual blessing of grace. When God turns us to look in
faith and rest all the hope of our salvation on the Lord Jesus
Christ. Turn us again, oh God. How often
we are tempted to look away. How often we are prone to wander. How often we are prone to try
to find our happiness and our gladness and our joy in the temporal
things of this world. And the child of God says, turn
me again, oh God, and cause thy face to shine and I shall be
saved. I shall be saved. And this turning
is all of grace, isn't it? It's all of grace. Turn with
me to Psalm 44. Psalm 44. Look at verse 3. For they got not
the land in possession by their own sword. Now, what is the sword? The sword of the spirit is the
word of God. That's when God speaks. And we see the Lord Jesus
Christ revealed in the book of Revelation as one who has a flaming
tongue as a flaming sword. And men want to save themselves
by what they speak. I'll invite Jesus into my heart.
I'll do this and I'll do that. And they speak great, proud,
swelling words to God in hopes that their sword is going to
save them. And God says, for they got not
the land in possession by their sword. Now the land that's in
possession is the promised land. It's heaven. It's not Israel,
it's heaven. and the Lord said, you got heaven
not by your sword, not by what you said, not by what you did,
neither did their own arm save them. Now what is the arm? If
the sword is the tongue, the arm is our works. It's our works,
it's our strength, it's what we do. And the Lord said, you
didn't possess heaven by what you said or by what you did. But thy right hand, now who is
that? I'll show you who it is. Hold
your finger there and turn with me over to Psalm 80 and look
at verse 17. Let thy hand be upon the man
of thy right hand and upon the son of man whom thou madest strong
for thyself. Now the one who cries, Lord,
turn me again, turn me again and cause thy face to shine upon
me and I shall be saved. And in turning me, Lord, let
thy hand be upon the strong man. The man who's been made strong
by thy strength. That's his right hand. That man's
none other than the God man. That's the Lord Jesus Christ.
He's the only man who's without sin. He's the only man who's
able to present us righteous in the presence of God. And so
there's our prayer. Lord, if you're going to shine
your face upon me, it's gonna have to be the glory of God in
the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. Go back with me to Psalm 44.
But thy right hand and thine arm and the light of thy countenance
Because thou hast a favor unto them. Now that word favor is
grace. Grace. Lord, if I have found
favor in thy sight, that's the only cause for our
salvation. Lord, I can't turn myself. I
can't force open the windows of heaven. I can't make you come
down. I can't cause your face to shine
upon me. And I certainly can't save myself.
I can't do it. So I'm praying, Lord, turn me
again. I once was able to rejoice in
your face. But now sin has clouded the way. I'm not able. I'm not able to
maintain the constant fellowship with you that I desire. And so the prayer of my heart
is always turn me again. Turn me again. Cause your face
to shine. It's all of grace. It's all of
grace. Not by our might or by our power,
but by His Spirit, by His Spirit, saith
the Lord. All right, go back with me to
our text in Psalm 80. Who is this for? Well, look at
verse 1. Give ear, O shepherd of Israel. It's for the sheep. It's for
the sheep. It's for the dumb, dirty, dependent
sheep. You say, well, that's not me. I'm not dumb. I've got some understanding. I'm not dependent. I've got strength
in myself. I'm not dirty. I've got some...
Well, then it's not for you. It's not for you. It's for the
sheep. It's for those who have seen
the defiance in their own heart. It's for those that are prone
to wander away from the fold. It's for those who need the fold
for their safety and a shepherd. That's why David said in Psalm
23, the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not be in want. I shall not be and want for anything. As long as I've got Christ as
my shepherd, I'll not need any other righteousness other than
His. As long as I've got Him as my shepherd, I'll not need
any other justification before God other than His shed blood.
As long as He's my shepherd, I'll not have any need for anything
in this world. He'll provide me what I need. I didn't say what we want. Lord
knows our needs, doesn't He? And He provides our needs. And if we want something that
the Lord doesn't provide, it's because we don't need it. It's because if He was to give
it to us, it'd be to our children of Israel. They asked for a king,
didn't they? No, I'll be your king. No, we want to be like
the other nations. Isn't that the cause of our want? We spend money we don't have
to buy things we don't need to impress people we don't like.
Isn't that the way we are? And we look around the world
and we say, well, I need one of those. And that's what all
advertisement's about, isn't it? You want to be like this
person, you got to have this. God says, no, child. I gave you
that, it'll be to your hurt. I'm going to withhold that from
you. You don't need it. But I'm going
to give you everything you need. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall
not be in want of anything that I need. John chapter 10, the Lord said,
I am the good shepherd and I lay down my life for the sheep. Other sheep have I which are
not of this fold, he went on to say. he's talking to a bunch
of Jews and he's speaking of us the Gentiles and he says other
sheep I have which are not of this fold them I must bring and
they will hear my voice and they will follow after me oh what
a good shepherd he is I'm gonna leave the 99 I'm gonna go out
in the wilderness I'm gonna get that dumb wandering sheep and
I'm gonna bring him back in and not one's gonna be lost so this prayer is for sheep it's
not for wolves, it's not for goats. One of the differences
between goats and sheep is goats will eat anything. They'll eat
anything. Sheep are pretty particular from
what I understand. Isn't that the case? The Lord
separates the goats. Goats will just, they can't discern
good food from bad food and they'll eat anything. And the sheep have to be fed
by the shepherd. They've got to be led to the
pasture that he's provided for them. All right. Give ear, O shepherd
of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock. Now, you
remember Joseph doesn't have any land. When Joshua divides
up the land, there's not a tribe called Joseph. But there is one
called Ephraim and Manasseh. Those are Joseph's two children,
the two sons. Remember Jacob blessed them back
in Egypt? And Joseph and Benjamin were
Jacob's choice children who were brought in to this world through
his favored wife, Rachel. And then Lord says, who's this
prayer for? What I'm trying to say to you
is for the elect. He doesn't name all the 12 tribes of Israel.
What does he name? He names, thou lettest Joseph
like a flock, thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth
before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh. Those are the children
of Rachel. Those are Jacob's chosen ones. They're the ones that got the
blessing. God hasn't elect people. It's not everyone. His grace,
as we saw in Romans chapter 11, His grace is according to the,
His mercy is according to the election of grace. The election
of grace. So, it's for God's elect. It's for
the dumb sheep. You say, well, how do I know
if I'm God's elect? Are you a dumb sheep? Are you dirty with your own sin?
Are you dependent? Are you defiant? Are you weak?
Are you needy? Do you have to have a shepherd
to provide for you? That's a pretty good indication
that you want a God's elect. Where do I go in order to see
the face of God? Well, notice in the end of verse
1, Thou that dwellest between the cherubim. Now, when the Lord instructed
Moses on building the Ark of the Covenant, He told Moses to
put on the top of that Ark, He was to overlay the entire wooden
Ark with pure gold. And there you have a picture
of the humanity in the wood and the deity in the gold of the
Lord Jesus Christ. And on top of that box was to
be a mercy seat of pure gold. And hovering over the mercy seat
on each side of the Ark of the Covenant were cherubims that
extended their wings and touched in the middle. And the Lord instructed
Aaron, he said, when you go into the holies of holies, you take
the blood from the sacrificial lamb, the lamb that is without
spot and without blemish, and put it on that mercy seat. And
there I will meet with you. Now that mercy seat is a picture
of what the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished on Calvary's cross
when he shed his precious blood in order to make a covering an
atonement for our sin. God said, there I will meet with
you. Nowhere else. Nowhere else. And these cherubim
are going to protect the holiness and the glory of this mercy seat.
There you will come. There you will see the face and
the glory of God. 2nd Corinthians chapter 4 verse
6, for God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness. Genesis chapter 1, God says,
and let there be what? Light. And the light shined. Where'd that light come from?
Well, Christ was the light. He's the light. The sun and the
moons and the stars weren't created until the fourth day. People
read that and they say, well, see there, that shows the fallibility
of the Bible. That just shows your ignorance.
Christ is the light. And God who caused the light
to shine out of darkness. He caused the light to come out
of nothingness. And in the same way, he's gonna
shine the light of the gospel in the face of the Lord Jesus
Christ in our hearts out of nothingness. We didn't bring anything to the
table. We didn't earn God's favor. He shines the light out of darkness in our hearts to give the light
of the knowledge of the glory of God. God gets all the glory
for our salvation. He did it all from election to
glorification. He gets all the glory. and the
light of the glory of God is shined in our hearts in the face
of the Lord Jesus Christ, who himself is our mercy seat. Oh God, turn us again and cause
thy face to shine upon us and we shall be saved. We shall be
saved. That's what I need more than
anything else. I need to be saved. I need to be saved from myself.
I need to be saved from my sin. I need to be saved from the wrath
that is to come. I need to be saved from this
world and the trials and troubles of this world. I need to be saved
from the powers of darkness that come against me. Lord, I'm a
dumb sheep. I need a shepherd. I need to
be saved. Cause thy face to shine upon
me, and I shall be saved." Is there ever a time when you can't
pray that prayer? Ever a time? Verse 4, Psalm 80, O LORD of
hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy
people? Lord, it seems like you've been so distant And those who
have enjoyed the fellowship of God's grace in Christ, oh, it
doesn't take much for them to feel the coldness of their heart,
does it? Oh, Lord. Now, I don't wanna
put too much emphasis on feeling, but how do I know? Because I'm lost without Him. He's going to have to make himself
known to me. How long wilt thou be angry against
the prayer of thy people? Thou fettest them with the bread
of tears, and givest them tears to drink in great measure. How
long, Lord, will you leave me here? Thou makest us a strife
unto our neighbors, and our enemies laugh among themselves. Or I
feel like I've been hung out to dry. I need you. I don't have anybody
else to support me. Everybody else looks at me and
they laugh at me. And they can't satisfy this hunger
that I have in my soul for your face to shine. And so again,
he says, turn us again. Verse 7 is the same as verse
3, as is also the verse of verse 19. Turn us again, O God of hosts,
and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved. Now, God of hosts means that
he's God over all. He's Lord over the living and
over the dead. He reigns sovereign over the
armies of heaven and all the inhabitants of the earth. It
means that he's God. Lord, you're sovereign, you're
omnipotent, you've got the power to do this, whether I'm yours
or not. Lord, whether I'm saved or not
saved. Lord, I pray that you would turn
unto me, cause me to turn to you. and cause your face to shine
and I shall be saved. Verse 8, Thou hast brought a
vine out of Egypt. Thou hast cast out the heathen
and planted it. Thou preparest room before it
and did cause it to take deep root and it filled the land. The hills were covered with the
shadow of it and the bows thereof were like the goodly cedars.
Lord, I remember a time when I was able to rejoice And now
the coldness of my heart and the lack of concern that I have
for my soul and Michael, for the souls of others, it's so
evident to me. I need you to turn me. I need
you to cause your face to shine. I need you to save me. Verse 11, she went out. She sent out her bows unto the
sea, and her branches unto the river. Why hast thou then broken
down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do
pluck her?" Boy, isn't that an apt description
of the church in our day? Lord, there was a time when the
gospel seemed to go out in power, and now it's, now there's just
a remnant. The boar out of the wood doth
waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
Lord, that's my experience. I'm so prone to look away, and
the boar of the field comes in and ravishes my vineyard and
eats all the fruit, all the fruits of grace and hope and salvation. Return, we beseech thee, O God
of hosts. Look down from heaven and behold
and visit this vine. I confess to you, brethren, that
next to the Lord taking his hand off of me is for the Lord to take his hand
off of this church. What did David pray? Return unto
me the joy of thy salvation and take not thy Holy Spirit from
me. Listen, God's got the right to
leave any time He wants to leave. We don't have anything to force
His hand, to make Him stay. It's all of grace. So what does
David say? Lord, you've planted this vineyard, the branch that thou made strong.
Visit, visit this vine, Lord, visit this vine. Verse 15, and
the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted and the branch
that thou made is strong for thyself. It is burned with fire. It is cut down. They perish at
the rebuke of thy countenance. Or it seems like sin is just
so prevalent in each of our lives. And Lord, I need you to turn
me again. Cause your face to shine. Let
thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand and upon the son of
man whom thou made us strong for thyself. Send the Lord Jesus
Christ into our midst to bless us with his presence. Then will
the face of God shine and we will be saved. Send the strong
man, the one that you've made strong, the one that you've blessed. That's why he's called the Christ. That's why he's called Messiah.
The Lord Jesus Christ came into this world in the full power
of the Spirit of God. Anointed with the oil of gladness,
the scripture says, above his fellows, we have the Spirit of
God in measure. He came in the fullness of God's
Spirit, in the fullness of the power of God, to do what? To accomplish the salvation of
his people, to save his people. Lord, I've lost sight of that. Lord, sin has clouded my vision. This world has distracted me.
Turn me again, O God, and cause thy face to shine upon me, and
I shall be saved. I shall be saved. It's the only
hope I've got for you to send that man that you made strong,
the man of your right hand. My arm can't save me. My sword
can't save me. Verse 18, so will not we go back
from thee? Quicken us, and we will call
upon thy name. Isn't that the determination
of the heart every time the Lord shines his face upon us? Oh,
I don't wanna leave this place. I don't wanna leave this, Lord,
I'm here to stay now. And the next thing you know,
you've walked away again. but it's the determination of
the heart. Or there's no place like this place. There's no blessing
like this blessing. I don't want to leave here. And
yet we do. And having done so, we're forced
to say once again, turn us again, oh God, and cause thy face to
shine upon us and we shall be saved. Maybe this is the prayer that
believers pray most often of any other prayer. Numbers chapter 6, verse 24. Scripture says, the Lord bless
thee. Bless thee with what? Spiritual
blessings. I'm confident that if you're
a child of God, He will provide for you and for your children
everything you need. I know He will. David said, I
was young and now I'm old. I've never seen the righteous
forsaken. I've never seen their children
begging for bread. Never. Man, I give you wants,
but He's going to give you your needs. Lord, what I need is the spiritual
blessings of thy presence. I need for you to shine your
face upon me. I need you to assure to me by the sending of that
strong man, the man that you've made strong, that I'm saved. Cause me to rejoice and to rest
in the person of thy dear son. Open the windows of heaven. the Lord bless thee and keep
thee. The Lord make his face to shine upon thee and be gracious
unto thee. It's going to be all of grace.
You're not going to do anything to deserve it. You're not going
to do anything to earn it. That's why the psalmist said,
Lord, you turn me. You cause your face to shine
upon me. You save me. You're going to have to do it
all. You've got to do it all. The Lord lift up His countenance
upon thee and give thee peace. Peace. Where does peace come from? It
comes from resting. It comes from the confidence
that God gives through faith that all is well with God based on the accomplished work
of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is your sin bearer, and all your
satisfaction before God. Oh Lord, turn me again, cause
thy face to shine, and I shall be saved. Our merciful Heavenly Father, We do pray that you would make
your face to shine in our hearts. Revealing thy glory in the face
of thy dear son. Thank you for the hope of knowing
that there is a mercy seat. Not made with man's hands, but
one that is in heaven. Whereby thy dear son has put
his blood. And that you father are Looking
at his blood. And we have the promise of knowing
from your word that when you see the blood. You'll pass by
us. For thy glory and for thy namesake. We pray that you would save us.
We ask it in Christ name. Amen. Number 485 let's stand together
for 85. We praise thee, O God, for the
Son of thy love, for Jesus who died and is now gone above. Hallelujah, thine the glory. Hallelujah, amen. Hallelujah, thine the glory. Revive us again. We praise thee, O God, for thy
Spirit of light, who has shown us our Savior and scattered our
night. Hallelujah, thine the glory,
Hallelujah, amen. Hallelujah, thine the glory. Revive us again. ? All glory and praise to the
Lamb that was slain ? ? Who has borne all our sins and has cleansed
every stain ? ? Hallelujah, thine the glory ? ? Hallelujah, amen
? ? Hallelujah, thine the glory, revive us again ? again. Revive us again. Fill each heart with thy love. May each soul be rekindled with
fire from above. Hallelujah, thine the glory. Hallelujah, amen. Hallelujah, thine the glory,
revive us again.
