The Bible reveals that God shows compassion on whomsoever He wills, especially on those whom He has eternally loved.
In Luke 19:41, we see Jesus weeping over Jerusalem, demonstrating His profound compassion for His people. According to Matthew 9:36, when Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion because they were like sheep without a shepherd. This compassion is rooted in God's sovereignty, as expressed in Exodus 33:19, where He states, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy." God's compassion is a reassurance that He sees the condition of His people and acts according to His eternal purpose to save them.

Prayer is crucial because it seeks God's will to send laborers into His harvest, acknowledging our dependence on Him.
In Matthew 9:38, Jesus instructs His disciples to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers. This highlights the essential role of prayer in the work of the gospel. It reflects our understanding that the harvest is plentiful, indicating a vast number of people ready to receive God's grace, but the laborers are few. By praying, we affirm that it is God alone who raises up ministers of the gospel according to His divine will and purpose. Additionally, as seen in Jeremiah 3:15, God promises to provide pastors who will shepherd His people, and our prayers are the means He uses to fulfill this promise.

We know God's elect will be saved because of His sovereign promises and grace that cannot fail.
In Romans 8:29-30, we are assured that those God foreknew, He predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, and those He called, He also justified and glorified. This passage encapsulates the chain of salvation that guarantees the ultimate success of God's purpose for His elect. Additionally, Revelation 7:9 speaks of a great multitude that no one can number, drawn from every nation, which affirms that God's plan includes a vast company of redeemed souls. God's sovereignty ensures that none of His chosen ones will be lost, as John 6:39 assures us, "And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I should lose nothing of all that He has given Me, but raise it up on the last day."
