Good evening. All right, let's
turn to Isaiah 25. Isaiah 25, and we'll be looking
at verses nine through 12, the rest of the chapter, nine through
12. And what this passage is, is the response of the sinner
saved. This is their response to the
glorious work of the Lord Jesus Christ. And this verse, the first
verse, especially verse 9, we see the confession of faith. This is the confession of faith
that the Spirit, having lifted that veil of darkness and delivered
that sinner out of the prison of their darkness and their sin
and their death, that is Christ doing that, His Spirit bringing
them out, they now confess They now confess that God is their
God, this God, the God revealed in these scriptures, He's their
God, and they boast of Him and glory in Him and speak of what
He has done. And so having this mist of death
and darkness lifted off of their heart and their eyes, they're
now able to see what Christ has accomplished for them and how
that He delivers His people from their enemies. And our title
is, This is Our God. This is Our God. And the first
point we'll look at is that unveiling of the heart and that confession
that flows from the believer as a result of that unveiling.
And then we'll see the rest accomplished. As we know, the Lord speaks of
that feast that He's provided in this mountain, and we'll see
that in that very mountain, in that exalted salvation of our
exalted Savior, that salvation of our exalted Savior, the Lord
God is at rest. and he is at peace with us. And we are made to have peace
with him. And then finally we'll see in
the closing verses the deliverance from our enemies, which is pictured
or described in Moab. Moab being that picture of the
flesh, both within and without, our enemies of the flesh, all
right? So the unveiling of the heart is where we'll begin. And we saw last week how that
this salvation, which is the Lord's salvation, it's what he
has provided for the people, it's what he has chosen to do
for his people, and he's wrought this salvation, he's worked this
salvation for a chosen people. according to his good pleasure. And in that salvation, he removes
this veil, a veil from off our hearts, from off our eyes, so
that now we see that God is a spirit and that he must be worshipped
in spirit and in truth. And he's the one that teaches
us how to worship him and what pleases him. And it's not the
things of this flesh. It's not the things that this
flesh delights in and thinks that the Lord delights in these
things. Alright, so this is what Christ's
victorious death and resurrection has accomplished for us. Look
up there in Isaiah 25, verse 7. Verse 7 there. He says, He will destroy in this
mountain, in that, this mountain, all, again, that mountain, every
time you see that in this chapter, think of it as a picture back
to what Christ did. His work of salvation in this
mountain, in this glorious work of salvation, in His exaltation
now, because of that glorious salvation, in this mountain,
He will destroy the face of the covering cast over all people
and the veil that is spread over all nations." And so the Lord
is showing us, He's reminding us that apart from Christ, ye
can do nothing. None of us can do anything in
terms of salvation, in terms of pleasing Him, in terms of
knowing Him. Apart from Christ, we can do
nothing. But in Christ, I can do all things
through Christ which strengtheneth me. And so can you, brethren,
in Christ. That's where we prevail with
God. That's where the enmity is lifted. That's where our God is at peace
with us. It's in Jesus Christ, the mediator,
whom God sent and provided to put away your sin. It's in the
Lord Jesus Christ. So this unveiling is distinguished
from the rest of the world. We're distinguished. It's a difference
in us from the rest of the world, right? So many might hear the
gospel. Many do hear the gospel. Many
hear of the things of God and of the Lord, but they don't hear.
They hear, but they don't hear. And you hear and you do hear.
You hear by the Spirit of God who enables you to hear what's
being said. It enables you to see Christ
and to believe on Him because God reveals to faith. He reveals faith to faith, which
he has given freely by his grace. It says in 2 Corinthians 4, 3-4,
remember that distinguishing factor, Paul says, But if our
gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost, in whom the God
of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.
lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the
image of God, should shine unto them." And you hear those words,
that light and that shining, because again, naturally we come
forth in darkness. We come forth with a veil over
our heart, a veil over our mind and understanding, because we're
born in sin, and death, therefore, as a result of our sinfulness. We're born in sin. We come forth
of the sinful seed of Adam. So we're already sinners. We're
already corrupt, dead sinners by natural birth, alright? And
so that shining comes in from the Lord through Christ because
we're in darkness and so He's the one who provides that light,
the light of His glory. So when we hear the gospel, it
shines unto us because that veil has been lifted. As long as that
veil's in place, there's no shining going on. We don't receive that
light. We don't feel the heat of the living God. We don't know
Him or understand Him. nor do we believe him. And Paul
worded it this way to us, concerning us who believe in 2 Thessalonians
2.14, he said, Whereunto he called you by our gospel to the obtaining
of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So you can see those
words where it's given to us as a shining forth in darkness
and our obtaining it, we've received it, we've obtained it from the
Lord because we didn't have it to begin with. And it's as Peter
said, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us. That's in 2 Peter 1.1, right
there in the beginning of that book. Because we've obtained
it. We've come into possession of what God has freely given
to us in His Son, Jesus Christ. Alright, now this is what we
have in our text this evening. This is believers obtaining the
glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. It's being revealed. It's the
revelation of God to us, alright? So that when the time of love
comes, for a sinner to hear, for a sinner to receive, for
a sinner to be given life and for them to know what God has
done. Once He's done that and He lifts that veil off our hearts,
it says in Isaiah 25 9, it shall be said in that day, in that
day, lo, this is our God. This is that day spoken of when
the Lord is exalted in our heart. And we declare this as our God. This is the true and the living
God. So this is the day that is when
the Lord reveals himself to the heart of the sinner. When he
reveals himself by lifting that veil and making us to know Christ
and to believe Christ. And so a confession of faith
is made. And it's like that, if you remember
in John chapter 9, when that blind man was given sight and
he was thrown out of the temple. And the Lord comes to him and
he asks, do you believe on the Son of Man? And he said, Lord,
who is he that I may believe on him? And he said, I who speak
to thee am he. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he fell down and worshiped
him. And it's that same way for us. When we hear of Christ and
when we hear his voice, And we're given that faith to know that
I'm the sinner, yet in grace, God spared not His own Son for
me to put away my sin. Lord, I believe. Lo, this is
our God." And that's what the Lord does for His people. He reveals Christ to them. So
this confession, Lo, this is our God, it's not the confession
that we once had, right, when we spoke of and and made a profession
of faith in that vain, dead, idle God that could do nothing
for us when we gave our heart to that God, so to speak, not
understanding what we were even doing, when we walked that aisle
or made that decision, when that was the work that we did because
we thought salvation wasn't something that we did. and something that
we had to do else God couldn't save us. It's not that vain idol
of a God. No, this is the living God who
saved us and reveals himself to us in power and in glory so
that we do believe. And he draws forth that confession
of faith. So we see the greatness of our
God, who supplies all our need, as we saw last week, where he
provided for us, in Christ, in that mountain of Christ's salvation,
a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the leaves, so that
we understand. And think about it, when we eat,
especially in a feast, you eat to satisfaction. You eat until
you're full and well satisfied. And that's a picture of what
Christ accomplished. Full and complete satisfaction. So that God is fully satisfied
and so is the sinner. Fully satisfied that Christ has
done everything. Now the emphasis is on that word,
this. Lo, this is our God. He saves by grace and power according
to His purpose. In the eternal covenant of grace,
God purposed to save sinners whom He chose and gave to His
Son to accomplish their salvation, that He might be their God in
mercy and peace and glory and power and love. he might love
them, and that they might love him, and serve him, and know
him, and worship him. Paul said in Romans 8, 28, he
speaks of it this way, to them, salvation has come to them who
are be called according to his purpose, right? And God's revealing
to us, making known to us that everything he does is according
to his purpose, according to his good pleasure, and he saves
a people according to his purpose, as he's chosen them. Ephesians
1 9 says, having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according
to his good pleasure, which he hath purposed. in himself, God-purposed,
to save you that believe, you that hear him, you that delight
in him this very evening, he chose you according to his good
purpose, his good pleasure, as it pleased him. And he gave you
into the hands of his Son, Jesus Christ, to work that salvation.
All right? Now, therefore, we're assured
that because we're in the hands of Christ, because it's not our
work and not something that we've done according to the law, whether
the law of Moses or the law of nature, it's not according to
what we have done, but according to Christ, according to His work
and His righteousness and what He did. Therefore, we're assured
that He shall lose none. Our high priest, when he was
praying to the Father, before he went to the cross, when he
was crying out to the Father and praying for us, he said,
those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost. So there's not a one of us who
is lost by Christ. All that he's purposed to save,
he shall indeed save them to the very end. Now, once we know
the Lord God, we begin to experience his work of grace in our hearts. And it begins with that belief,
it begins with that faith, at least from our experience. Initially we're often troubled,
we're often fearful when we see the greatness and the largeness
of God and how wonderful he is. And he's not that little pipsqueak
of a God that we used to bow down and worship that type of
idol. But no, we see that God is great.
And so we hear them, in addition to believing on him, as we grow
and we hear of what He's done and we believe on Him. We also
hear through the course of the preaching of His Word, we hear
that He shall return. He shall return in order to gather
to Himself His chosen, elect, and redeemed people. that he
died for. Now in Isaiah 25 9 it goes on
and says, Lo, this is our God. We have waited for him. We've waited for him. And that's
the work that the Spirit of God stirs up in the heart of his
children. In the Old Testament, they waited
for his initial coming, his first coming, when the promised Messiah
would come. And now, believers saved under
the New Testament, we know and are assured that he has come,
and that he has done the work and risen again, and so we await
for his second return. When he returns again, to claim
that which he purchased with His own blood when He raises
us from the grave and gives us a new body made after the image
of His body and the likeness of His body and we'll be together
with the Lord forever so that even now we're waiting for Him. We understand that this is not
our inheritance, this is not our lasting place, doing the
things that we're doing today. This isn't it. And so We use
them with the understanding that these things are all passing
away and these things aren't lasting and forever. But we have
that faith in us, like Father Abraham, as he's called, the
father of the faithful, those that have faith in God. Like
him, we too look for a city which hath foundations, whose builder
and maker is God. And it may seem like a long time
sometimes, right? And the days may seem long and
weary and cumbersome at times. And we sometimes even get forgetful. But what the Lord is doing is
through all that He teaches us. He teaches us things like patience.
He teaches us things like remembering whose we are. And we're reminded
and brought to see again and again, Lord, I'm not my own,
I'm yours. And we're brought to see and
understand why we worship Him and why we're so thankful for
the salvation that He's brought. And so He's teaching us through
the patience of going through these days that we might know
Him. So we wait for Him. And while we're waiting, He blesses
you with the gospel. He feeds you with the gospel
of His Son, Jesus Christ, and so that He's teaching each one
of us as we have need of hearing, and as we have need of instruction,
as we have need of comfort and care, as we have need of being
rebuked or something like that. Whatever the need is, the Lord
is able to communicate that to the heart of each one of His
saints all under the preaching of the gospel of the Lord Jesus
Christ. And so Jeremiah said in Lamentations
3.26, it's good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for
the salvation of the Lord. And there's a whole lot of meaning
in there. The one that strikes my mind
now is just It's good for us to not run to fix everything
by our own works and what we think ought to be done, but remember
to pray. Watch and pray and trust the
Lord and wait for His salvation. Wait for His work and let Him
do what He's going to do and stand and watch and behold the
will of God being done before your very eyes. Alright, now
Isaiah 25 9, let's read the rest of it. This is our God. We have
waited for Him and He will save us. He will save us. This is
the Lord. We have waited for Him. We will
be glad and rejoice in His salvation. So we understand, brethren, that
just as our God has wrought our salvation, apart from our works,
and he shows us that Christ has done all the work of salvation,
that just as he didn't fail, neither will he fail to return
for his people. He's going to return. He's going
to gather his people in, and you believe him, just as he promised
and said he'll do, that's exactly what he'll do. And we're told
in Hebrews 10, 22 through 23, Let us draw near with a true
heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from
an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us
hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for He
is faithful that promised. he's faithful, he hasn't forgotten
the word, and he shall return, and he shall gather us together,
and we shall have our inheritance in him, and we shall know of
his mercy and grace, right? So that's the confession of faith
here that we have in our text. We confess him, We're given faith
in Him to confess Him, and we wait. We wait patiently, being
gathered together unto Him, with His people, looking and waiting
for Him, and we rejoice in the salvation which He's revealed
to us. in Christ. Now this confession, it continues
to make its boast in Christ and that brings us to our next point,
rest accomplished. So in this next point we see
why the believer who confesses Christ is able to be so confident. Why you may be confident. Some
of you I know were never taught to be confident and to have no
assurance and no hope in what the Lord reveals concerning Christ. Because you were still working
out something that you needed to do in salvation. You were
still trusting something that you needed to do. Alright, now
look at Isaiah 25.10 in the first half there. It says, For in this
mountain shall the hand of the Lord rest. Again, that mountain
there is the work of Christ. It's his exaltation. It's his
finished work which he's done. And so the Lord gathers his people
to this mountain. I believe it says it in the Revelation
that the people of the Lord, all the nations will flow into
it, are flowing uphill to a mountain. The picture there is just contrary
to nature, we're flowing to Christ. We're being gathered to Christ
who is our very salvation. So the Lord gathers us here because
Christ is our salvation. He's the salvation for his people.
It says in Ephesians 1.10, This is God's purpose for it, is that
in the dispensation of the fullness of times, he might gather together
in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and
which are on earth, even in him. So because of this covenant of
grace that God has purposed in himself, we see that God's given
us into the hands of his son Jesus Christ, who came to this
earth in the likeness of the sinful flesh, but without sin,
having the same flesh and blood. And he came under the law and
fulfilled all righteousness perfectly for his people." Because we can't
do it. And so he is our very righteousness. And as the Lamb of God, he came
as a substitute. to take your place, you that
are his, to take your place and to go to that cross and to die
in your place under the just wrath of God being poured out
upon your sin and my sin, the sins that we should have paid
for, that we never could pay off or ever fulfill the debt
that we owed, but Christ paid the debt in full by the death
of himself. He shed his blood, and when he
shed his blood, he gave up the ghost, he died for our justification,
so that now God is at peace with us. He is satisfied, and because
he is satisfied, Christ rose from the dead, and when he went
up to the Father, when he ascended to the Father, and seated at
his right hand, now he sends his Spirit who comes and testifies
of the Lord Jesus Christ and testifies to us what Christ has
done and convinces us in our hearts that He has done it for
me, a sinner, an unworthy sinner, not worthy of His grace or mercy,
but He did this for me. And so he brings that home to
the heart. He shows you what he's done,
and the Spirit testifies of this, removing that veil from our darkened
hearts, and we see, Lord, it's all done. All the works are finished
from before the foundation of the world. You did everything,
everything accomplished in Christ. And so, you know, as a result
there, You know, seeing that, that's why we have such a problem
with these churches where they speak of salvation as to something
that we need to do. And whatever needs to be done,
Christ works it in us, that we shall do those works, we shall
confess Christ and what He's done. You know, we worship the
Lord, we rejoice in His salvation, give thanks to Him for everything
that He's done. Now the Spirit testifies of Christ,
and we hear that God is no longer angry with us. He's not still
angry, He's not looking for us to do something yet to bring
that cessation or to cause his anger against us to cease. The
Lord has done it all. He's done all the works and so
God isn't angry anymore and that's why religion doesn't like it
because they can't hold that whip over you and get you to
do things that you otherwise wouldn't do. But now you don't
hear them and you don't need to hear them and you don't fear
when they threaten you and come against you because you're confident. No, Christ has done the work.
Christ has finished the salvation and we don't need to fear death.
We don't need to be afraid anymore to die because the Lord's done
everything. And to die is to be with the
Lord and to receive that inheritance, to bring that inheritance to
a completion, that is a transfer when the Lord brings it to us.
In Christ's finished work, in this mountain, the hand of the
Lord is at rest. It's at rest. And that means
Christ made peace between us, with us and with God. He's at
rest. He's no longer raging and angry
against us. And the anger and the rage in
this heart, in us, is gone. The enmity between us and God
is lifted, it's removed, it's been put away so that now there's
love and there's a desire. It's in the new man. The new
man looks to Christ and is faithful to Christ and believes Christ
and trusts Him. This flesh we still see, we see
markings and the filth and the sin that was there by nature. but it's subdued in the sense
that Christ has the role over us and he keeps us and causes
us to walk in him, looking to him. Now it says in Ephesians
2, 13-14, Now in Christ Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off
are made nigh by the blood of Christ, for he is our peace. And we see that's God. We're
at peace with God and we're at peace with our brethren because
Christ has accomplished that rest for us. He's accomplished
that peace and done that work for us. So this is our God and
he's the Lord and we speak of this salvation now in terms of
Christ as the sovereign, reigning, ruler implementing the will of
God on the earth now. He's the exalted Lord and he's
implementing God's will in this mountain of his salvation. He's
implementing the will of his father in the earth. In Daniel
4.35, I'll read it, it says, and all the inhabitants of the
earth are reputed as nothing. and he doeth according to his
will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the
earth and none can stay his hand or say unto him what doest thou
and so we know him and we rejoice in him and we're not afraid because
the Lord has done the work. In this mountain shall the hand
of the Lord rest, meaning Christ has put away the enmity once
for all. And so that enmity where we hated
his rule and hated him is all put away. And so we see that
the Father loved us for all eternity and he's provided and laid out
the salvation and He's gathering us to it. He's calling us to
the feast, and He shall not fail. We shall not refuse Him. Thanks
to God, He shall prevail over our wicked hearts, and He shall
lift that veil, and He'll call us to the feast of salvation
in His Son, Jesus Christ. We're told in Hebrews 9, 12,
and 15, by His own blood, Christ entered in once into the holy
place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. And then in
verse 15 it says, For this cause he is the mediator of the New
Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions
that were under the First Testament, they which are called might receive
the promise of eternal inheritance. And so that's why there's a peace
now with God in the Lord Jesus Christ. God's hand is at rest
and we're at rest because of the peace that Christ has created
for us. Alright, now moving on to our final point, it's delivered
from our enemies. So Christ has put away the enmity
between us and God, but the enemy, which is this flesh, it remains,
right? This flesh And we see the flesh
in our own selves, that war within, and we see that enmity in the
flesh of others from without, who are now angry, continue to
be angry with God, and now are persecuting or hating us. Now
regarding the lusts of our own flesh, Paul said it this way
in Romans 7.18. He said, For I know that in me,
that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing. For to will is
present with me, but how to perform that which is good I find not. Now we know that through the
gospel. Christ is our victory. And that's
what Paul says when he concludes that chapter, chapter 7, verses
24 and 25, he says, O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver
me from the body of this death? And he said, I thank God through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Right? That's our deliverance.
He's our salvation. He's the one who has put away
the sin forever so that God is now pleased with us. God now
receives us because Christ has put that sin away. Now, in our
text, the Lord speaks of Moab. Moab's very existence, its whole
reason for even being, it came into being as a result of sin,
as a result of folly and foolishness in the flesh. It should never
have been. If you remember, that was Lot's
daughters slept with him and one gave birth to Moab and one
gave birth to Ammon. So it's just the folly and the
foolishness of flesh. And so that's what Moab pictures. And so from the very beginning
of Moab and Ammon, they were some of the greatest persecutors
of the children of Israel. They were troublers to Israel. They were always harassing them
and going to war with them and fighting against them. And so
it pictures that flesh that must be brought low, that flesh that
must be destroyed, that flesh that must not have the rule over
the Lord's people. And that's what Christ's victory
has done. He's defeated all our foes. In verse 8, it says, in Isaiah
25 verse 8, it says, we see how it says, He will swallow up death
and victory, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off
all faces, and the rebuke of His people shall He take away
from off all the earth, for the Lord hath spoken it. So that's what Christ's death
accomplished. And now we're seeing the confession,
tonight we're seeing that confession of faith from the believer as
a result of Christ's victory over our flesh. And so now let's
read this next, you know, the rest of the chapter here, and
we see the experience of the believer that the Spirit gives
deliverance to the Lord's people in the midst of our troubles,
in the midst of our persecutions and our woes. Alright, Isaiah
25 verse 10, And Moab shall be trodden down under him, even
as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. And he shall spread
forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth
spreadeth forth his hands to swim. And he shall bring down
their pride together with the spoils of their hands. And the
fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down,
lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust. We experience
deliverance in Christ from the ruling of this flesh, and this
flesh doing what it will do, so that it's still a trouble,
we still know that it's sinful, it's not improved, it's not now
any better, it doesn't desire anything different than what
it used to desire, but it no longer has the rule over us.
because Christ is our rule, and Christ is our savior. We don't
turn back to the law, because that just provokes that enmity
in the flesh, and that just creates that trouble even more, but Christ
himself is the believer's rule, and we look to the Lord, and
the Lord subdues our sins, and the Lord turns us from our sin,
having the rule and the reign over us, so that by his spirit,
we now walk in faith, trusting him and he turns us away from
the things of this flesh. That's why we don't speak of
the law because the law is for the flesh. The law is to beat
the flesh and to subdue it because it has no faith. There's nothing
there, it's just flesh. So now we have faith and we have
the spirit of Christ ruling and reigning in us and that's how
we walk. Now the spirit It withers the
flesh through the preaching of the gospel, through seeing that
it's not man's works, that man has nothing to contribute or
to impress God with. The Spirit, attending that gospel
word, withers our flesh. He strips the flesh of its glory.
He brings it low. He troddens it down. He trodes
upon it so that it's now brought low and brought down to the dust
and destroyed. 1 Peter 1, 24 and 25, turn there. It says this. And from there we'll go over
to 2 Thessalonians, so just stay in the New Testament. So 1 Peter
1.24. Here's the preaching of the gospel,
as Peter's telling us, and notice what the Spirit does. He says
in verse 24 there, 1 Peter 1.24, all flesh is as grass. all the glory of man as the flower
of grass. The grass withereth and the flower
thereof falleth away, but the word of the Lord endureth forever."
And where this was quoted from, it speaks of the spirit blowing
upon the grass so that it withers. It dries it out and he brings
it to a withered brittle, broken mass that falls away easily.
So the word of the Lord endureth forever, and this is the word
which by the gospel is preached unto you. So the Lord brings
us to see that just like all men, we're nothing but grass. And by that gospel word being
attended by the Spirit, this flesh is withered like grass.
And all our pride and pomp and glory, like a flower, it falls
away and dies. It becomes rotten. So that's
what happens to the believer's flesh under the preaching of
the gospel, all right? Now, the Lord also deals with
our external enemies. He deals with those from without.
Turn over to 2 Thessalonians 1, and we see that the Spirit
of the Lord destroys the enemies of the child of God. He destroys the unbelievers. 2 Thessalonians 1, 7 through
10. Paul says, and to you who are troubled, rest with us. Rest in the Lord Jesus Christ,
because when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with
his mighty angels in flaming fire taking vengeance on them
that know not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction
from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power,
when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired
in all them that believe, because our testimony among you was believed
in that day." That's what we see here in this
chapter. It's a beautiful chapter showing
that Christ, the mountain of Christ's salvation. He's exalted. He's done everything. He's done
all the work. And the Lord prepared a feast
for you, brethren, so that he's gathering you together unto Christ.
His spirit lifts that veil so that the gospel of Christ now
shines unto you. He withers our flesh. He takes
care of our enemies so that this flesh is laid low and has no
part in it until the Lord returns and gives us a new body. So until that time, but the Lord
now rules and reigns, lifting this veil of flesh, and He brings
out that confession of faith from us where we say, low this. is our God and we rejoice in
Him and we wait for Him by faith and hope that He gives to us
and we wait for Him and we say and we see and confess that He
shall save us. He has saved us, He is saving
us, and He shall save us unto the end. And so brethren, that's
your God. That is your God. So rejoice
and be thankful and glad in Him for His glorious work. All right,
let's pray. Our gracious Lord, we thank you
for your grace. We thank you, Lord, for your
Son, Jesus Christ, who did all the work of salvation such that
it's a feast, Lord. A feast which you are satisfied
with us because Christ has made satisfaction and the enmity and
the wrath is put away. And Lord, we may fellowship and
eat together, rejoicing and being joyful and hoping and laughing
and just being thankful for the salvation that we have in your
Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, conquer this flesh, bring
it low, and let the Spirit of Christ shine forth, Lord. And as he says, let your light
so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify
your Father which is in heaven. Lord, we pray that you would
indeed shine in our hearts and that your gospel would shine
forth in this dark place and that you would call out your
people. and gather them to this mountain, this feast of the Lord
Jesus Christ. We pray this, Lord, that you
would even use us, this little congregation, that you would
use us to bless lost sinners, to hear and to see that burden
rolled off by your Spirit. It's in Christ's name that we
pray and give thanks. Amen. All right, brother.
