Lovely song or hymn sung by a
lovely lady accompanied by an equally lovely sister is a blessing. Hide me. Turn with me to 1 Samuel
1. 1 Samuel 1, we'll read the first
eight verses together. Now, there was a certain man
of Ramatham, Zopham, of Mount Ephraim. His name was Helcana,
son of Jerotham, son of Elihu, son of Tohu, son of Zoph, an
Ephrathite. And he had two wives. The name
of one was Hanna, the name of the other was Hanina. Thenena
had children, but Hannah had no children. This man went up
out of his city yearly to worship, to sacrifice under the Lord of
hosts in Shiloh. The two sons of Eli, Cophony
and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there. And when
the time was that Elkanah offered, He gave to Peninnah his wife
and all her sons and her daughters portions, but unto Hannah he
gave a worthy, or double portion, for he loved Hannah. But the
Lord had shut up her womb, and her adversary, that's the other
woman, also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because
the Lord had shut up her womb. And as Elkanah did so year by
year, when she went up, she went with him to the house of the
Lord, so this adversary provoked Hannah, and therefore Hannah
wept and did not eat. And then said Elkanah, her husband,
to her, Hannah, why weepest thou, and why eatest thou And why is
thy heart grieved? Am not I better to thee than
ten sons?" Now, Hannah's story begins with
Hannah's husband, Elkanah. He's called a certain man. That
is, a man chosen by God to be Hannah's husband. to be the father
of her future child. This Elkanah, this certain man,
was a godly man, a devout man. It says he went up to worship
the Lord. He loved the Lord and he worshiped
the Lord at all times. He was a great man. He was obviously
a wealthy man. He had much to give and he gave
it generously. He was a fine man. Loving man. Very tender. Very gracious. Very compassionate. Very considerate
of Hannah and her plight. And a family man. Look down at
verse 21. And man Elkanah and all his house. He made sure that all his house
went up to worship the Lord. As long as they were in his house.
So this certain man was a wonderful man. How blessed Hannah was to
have such a man as her husband. Well, Hannah represents every
child of God, every believer, the bride of Christ. And as with
Hannah, our story begins with our husband. Our husband, a greater
than Elkanah. has been here. The Lord Jesus
Christ is here. As Pilate said, behold the man. A certain man. Our Lord said,
mine elect, my servant, whom I have chosen to be the husband
of my chosen bride. Our great high priest after the
order of Melchizedek, the godly man, devout, oh, devoted, to
the glory of God, to the salvation of His people. A holy, devout
and holy man. A great man. Oh, a great man. Mighty to save. How great? All power given unto Him. A wealthy
man. Oh, the unsearchable riches of
the Lord Jesus Christ. A fine man. A loving man. love personified, a gentle man,
a tender man, a kind man, and a generous man. How so? He gave himself. For how blessed
are the people, those people whom the Lord has made Christ
to be their husband. How blessed. Well, this man had
two wives, Penina and Hannah, in verse 2. had sons and daughters,
children, several, quite a few, that Hannah had none. It says in verse 5, the Lord
had shut up her womb. This was not in punishment. The other woman tried to make
her feel that it was so. But there's no reason given for
her not being able to have children, except that the Lord did it according
to His purpose. It pleased the Lord for her not
to have any children. But Peninnah had many, had several. And even though the Lord gave
her her children, the Lord said, I kill and I make alive. If anyone lives, God gave them
that life, breathed into them the breath of life. If anyone
produces, reproduces life, the Lord gave them that child. But Penina, rather than give
God the glory, she gloated. She gloried in her children as
if she was something special. As if she were a fruitful woman
in and of herself. She gloried in something that
she had received. And she gloated to Hannah. She thought highly of herself
and lowly of Hannah. She treated Hannah with contempt.
And even made Hannah feel that way. Treated her with contempt
as an unfit wife. But you know the fact of the
matter here is, Panina was a wicked woman. And there's no mention
in this story of Elkanah loving her. He had two wives. It only says
that he loved one of them. Panina represents religion. Religious people. Polygamy has never been sanctioned
by the Lord, and I could spend a great deal of time showing
you how the Lord judged it. And there was always trouble
because of it. One man, one woman. One man, one woman. Marriage
sanctioned by the Lord. At any rate, there was trouble because of
this, and the Lord Though, as it were, this is a tight picture,
because this represents those who seem to be the bride of Christ,
as opposed to those who truly are. The old writers used to
talk about the visible church, or those professing to be the
church, and the invisible, the true church. Israel of old. They are not all Israel, which
are of Israel. Just because you're a son of
Abraham doesn't make you a son of God. No, no. It's not the
outward circumcision of the flesh. It's of the heart. You see, this
is what I believe is the very reason for this story. The man
had two wives. Padena represents religion, religious
people who call themselves Christian, but in name only. Who boast of
their works. who glory in their talents, who
gloat over and glory in their numbers, how many and how much
they do. You know it's so. You see it
all around you. When the Scripture says very
plainly, thus saith the Lord, let not the wise man glory in
his wisdom, Neither let the mighty man glory in his might. Let not
the rich man glory in his riches. Let him that glorieth, or let
not the woman with children glory in her fruitfulness. Let him
that glorieth, glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth
me, that I am the Lord. That is, the reason you have
wisdom, I gave it. The reason you have might, I
gave it. The reason you have riches and
might and strength and wisdom is I gave it. The reason you
have children, I gave them. The reason you bear fruit. So this Penina, she gloried in
herself rather than in the Lord. And for that I know she's a wicked
woman and made Hannah feel inferior to her. Those who are loved by
the Lord, those His true bride, glory in the Lord. They really
do. It's not just in words. It's not with the lips. From
the heart, they love the Lord for who He is, not what they
get from Him. They love the Lord for His person,
His work. They love His works. They don't
like to talk about their own work. In fact, they grieve over,
like Hannah, grieved over her unfruitfulness. God's people,
they grieve over and are sorrowful, thinking that they don't bear
any fruit at all to the Lord. They do. I'm going to show you
that. But look at this, verse 5. It says, But Hannah, Elkanah
gave a worthy portion, for he loved Hannah. Plainly says that. Elkanah loved
Hannah, but she was sorrowful nonetheless. She was very sorrowful. She had the love and the devotion
and the attention and the constant companionship of this wonderful,
lovely man. She didn't need anything or anybody
else. And she had this wonderful man.
She, like most women, wanted a child and could not have one. So it says she was of a sorrowful
spirit, constantly sorrowful over there, and constantly wept
and very bitter about it. Now, to be childless, to go without
a child, is a great trial for a woman. Would you go with me
to Genesis chapter 1? Especially you young ladies and
men, all you young people, I hope you have a Bible. Turn with me
to Genesis chapter 1. Look with me at this thing of
childbearing. The Lord God created man and
woman to have children. That's the reason He made their
bodies as He did. the differences. Children, Scripture
says, are in heritage of the Lord. They are of the Lord. It
is still the greatest miracle on earth, physical miracle on
earth, the birth of a child. It is still an amazing miracle,
an act of God, the creation of life in a womb and the fruition
of that life. So it's for His glory. Every
birth, every child is born for His glory. Bring glory to God. And children are given for happiness
and harmony of the man and the woman, like marriage. When the
Lord said concerning Adam, it's not good for the man to be alone,
He made a woman. and brought her to him, and the
two became one flesh. Well, look at what the Lord said
to the man and the woman in Genesis 1, verse 27. God created man
in his own image, and the image of God created he, him. Male
and female created he, them. And God blessed them, and God
said unto them, first thing, very first thing, be fruitful
and multiply. Have children. The very first
thing. That's a command. Will you turn
with me to 1 Timothy? All of you, young ladies, turn
to 1 Timothy 5 with me. The fifth chapter of 1 Timothy. God created man and woman to
have children. A woman's body, a young lady's
body is created differently. in order to nurture a child and
to nurse and bear that child. That's the very reason for her
creation different than man, for having children. And He did
it for His glory and for our good and our happiness and our
fulfillment. Look at 1 Timothy 5, verse 14. Paul who himself had no children. He never had children. He was
never married, never had children. But he says this nonetheless.
He says, I will therefore, verse 14, that younger women marry,
in this order, marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion
to the adversary. to speak reproachfully. Some
are already turned aside after Satan. To have children, he says,
marry and bear children in marriage. Guide the house. As long as children
are in the house, they are your responsibility and your career.
And what a blessing, what a gift, what a high calling it is to
be a mother of a child, a nurturer, of a human being, a soul entrusted
to your care. My, my. What could be higher
than that? What could demand more attention? What could give God greater glory
than that? Scripture says in the last days
it will be without natural affection. I talked to a young couple one
time, a young man who was doing some preaching at the time. And
they both said they did not want to have children. Now that's strange. That's strange. That's not natural. It's not
natural. I understand the concern of young
people raising children in a day like today. It's not nearly as
bad as it has been. Though we fake it is, it's not.
Imagine raising children in the time of early Israel in Egypt. They came in and took their babies
and threw them in the river. They don't have that to worry
about, do they? But I understand the concern if that's not natural,
and that young couple ended up in divorce, and the young man
is no longer preaching. We're told, we're commanded to
be fruitful and multiply, to have children if the Lord gives
us children. We don't decide. I've also talked to other young
couples who say, we're going to wait to have children. Oh,
okay. I understand that too. My wife
and I did the very same thing. We wanted to wait. We wanted
to wait four or five years so that we could get all our money
together and all that. Let me tell you something. You
can't save enough money, can you, Gabe? You can't save enough
money. Forget that. Just go ahead and
have them while you're young. That's the reason young girls,
the ones that have children, they get old. At any rate, This
young couple, we're going to wait to have children. I understand
that. I do understand that. But you can't just up and decide
to have children. We did that, and lo and behold,
the time it came, okay, now. And the doctor said, you can't
have any children. And my wife was, hmm. She was distraught, distraught
like Hannah. And you know, it's a trial for
a man not to be able to have children. There are 12 adults over 30 in
this congregation who have never born children. I was shocked
when I began to count them. Why? Because God didn't give them.
That's why. That's why. Why do some have... I'm sorry, Jennifer, but there
you are, you know. There's pictures down there of
four ladies, you know, pregnant with their children. You might
be having your picture made with their grandchildren. Here's Jennifer. Expecting again. The Lord made
you fruitful. The Lord did it. The Lord did
it. But the Lord shuts up the world.
The Lord says, I give and I withhold. It's of the Lord and He does
not give an account of His matter to anybody. There's no reason
that you can say for this except it's the Lord. It's the Lord. Well, and it's a trial. Let me
go on. To be childless and not have
a child is a trial of the Lord. That is of the Lord. And what
are trials for? Try it of your faith. Work it
patiently. The trial of the Lord is for
His glory. This will redound unto His glory. It is according to His purpose
for you. The Lord says, in everything
give thanks, for this is the will of the Lord in Christ Jesus
concerning you. Whatever it is, it's the Lord's
will. But this is a trial of the Lord
to go childless. The Lord shut up her womb. It
says that twice, doesn't it? The Lord shut up her womb. The
Lord shut up her womb. And that's the only reason given.
Not a curse, not as punishment. No, just the Lord shut up her
womb. And maybe she began to feel that
way, you know. The Lord's punishing her. No, no, no, no, no. The Lord
doesn't do that to His people. Doesn't do that to His
people. And I guarantee you, Hannah thought
this. Here that wicked woman, Penina,
has all these children and I have none. She's a wicked woman. And
I look around at all the unfit mothers out there. All the neglected
children, I say, why? I thought this. Why, Lord? When
we have ladies here that would have been such wonderful mothers,
men who would have been such wonderful fathers, when other
men have all sorts of offspring and they abandon them. They're
not fathers at all. Why, Lord? Because it's the Lord. That's why. Because it's the Lord. That's
all you can say. It's saying good in His sight. It's the Lord. And it's for our good. Like every
trial, sin of the Lord, it's for our good to have or to have
not. It's both for our good. I thought about this. And listen
carefully, okay? There's no greater joy than children. We've been so blessed. No greater
joy. I've never experienced more joy,
humanly speaking, than my daughter and now granddaughters. But I'm
telling you, and you parents can agree with this, there's
no greater trial, no greater worries, no greater fears, no
greater sorrows, no greater troubles than you experience with your
children. There's no greater joy to be
given a child. No greater joy, I can say that
from experience, but some of you in here can say with experience,
there's no greater heartache than to have that child taken. I can't conceive of watching
my daughter die of cancer. I would give all I could to take
her place. Well, if you never had a child,
you wouldn't go through that. You wouldn't go through that. No greater joy than a good child,
an obedient child. Our daughter, she's a sinner,
I know. I know well because she's my
daughter. But she gave us just pure joy all her life. Still
does. But I, there's no greater sorrow. than a rebellious child. I have a preacher brother whose
daughter committed suicide. He has to live with that the
rest of his life. And the time will come, yea,
now is, it remain if Paul said that those who have wives be
as though they had none. That it won't matter if you were
married or not married. That it won't matter if you were
a mother and didn't have a child, or a father and didn't have a
child. Be as though they had none. All of those relationships,
very shortly, every one of those relationships will end. No parents
with children in glory. No, no. All are equal. Every
one of us, every one of God's people, the children of the Father,
equal. No parents, no children. Be as
though they had none. And we'll see the purpose of
God was He brought the soul into the world, not for your joy necessarily,
but for His purpose. That's a human being that He
brought into this world. And what matters eternally, like
in this story with Hannah, the only thing that matters, do you
know Jesus Christ and are you loved by Him and do you love
Him? Are you married to the Lord Jesus
Christ? That's the only thing that matters. Not, do you have a good husband
here? No. Not, do you have children
here? No. Do you know the Lord? It's the same with our children.
The only thing that matters about them in the end is, did they
know the Lord? Did they? Back in our text, Hannah
had no children. The Lord did not give her fruit.
And it bothered her greatly. But I tell you what, she was
fruitful to her husband. It says that when he went up,
verse 7, he went year by year up, she went up. And John, it's
hard for me not to spiritualize every phrase here. When he went
up, she went up. Oh my, our Lord Jesus Christ,
as He is, so are we. We're seated with Him. When He
went up, Quickened? We were quickened. We're with
Him. We're ever by Him, with Him. As He is, so are we. As Elkanah
did, so did she. She was a devout woman. She loved
her husband. Why? Because he loved her. We
love Christ because He first loved us. We don't glory in our
love to Him, but we do love Him, don't we? Can you not say that?
Ah, he that loveth not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema
when the Lord cometh. Peter, lovest thou me? Mac, before
he was bragging about it, oh, they'll all leave you but me.
Oh, Peter. I'm going to let you show yourself.
We're going to see that Wednesday night, I hope. I'm going to let
you show yourself. No room for boasting. If any man boasts,
he don't boast of your love, what you're going to do, what
you've done. Later on, Peter is broken now. Peter is humble. Peter is sitting
there with his head hanging down. Peter thinks, everybody deserves
to be here but me. And the Lord says, now. Peter,
love us now. Yes, I do. I do. Do you? Do you? Take away the Lord? Take everything
from you? Or withhold everything from you? It's obvious to me that some
in here, childless though they be, love the Lord. Hannah did, didn't she? She went
to worship. Oh, don't you love the words
of Job? After the Lord gave and the Lord taketh all away. All
of it. Not just his children, but his
home, his possessions, his health, his happiness, his everything.
What did he say? Though he slay me, I will trust
him. Have the root of the matters
in that man. What's the root of the matter? The love of God
shed abroad in his heart. I know my Redeemer liveth. I know my Redeemer liveth. No
matter what I have, He gave it to me. No matter what I have,
and He takes it, He's still my Redeemer. To God be the glory. Great things He hath done. So
love me that He gave His Son. How could I curse God and die? Hannah had no children in our
story here. But she was fruitful toward her
husband. She is devoted and loving to
her husband. And so that made her profitable
to him, didn't it? Huh? She sorrowed because she
bore no fruit. And her adversary made her feel
inferior. And you know, my adversary does
that to me too. I look around at the apparent
zeal and enthusiasm of this religious world, and I feel positively
ashamed. Don't you? They're zealous for
God. Not according to knowledge. I
look at the buildings. I look at the crowds. I look
at all the people. And I often think, why, Lord? Don't you give us more? It's
been a while since someone's confessed the Lord in that pool,
and there's cobwebs in it. And I get down, not because I
want to see numbers, but I want to know that the Lord's still
using us. Me, I want to be fruitful. I
see people fall away, and I think it's my fault. I take all the blame. But this gave me comfort. I thought
about old Noah. Noah was a preacher of righteousness. He was the only one. Preacher
of righteousness. Whose? God's. Christ's preached the truth. He preached the truth. 120 years. He gave 120 years. He preached the truth. Since
he was a true preacher and a preacher of the truth, I know he was a
loving man, a kind man, a gracious man, a merciful man. I know he
was. He had to be. And yet, after it was all over, who was in his
little congregation? Just his family. Just his family. Just seven people. Just seven
people. What if one of them was your
child? Oh my, now that's different isn't
it? Oh my. There was a young pastor
one time talking to an older preacher, and he was complaining.
He was bemoaning the fact that he had so few in his congregation. And the old man wisely said to
him, young man, how many do you have? And the young man, kind
of embarrassed, said, fifteen. And the old man said, son, that's
fifteen more souls than you want to give an account for in the
judgment. Oh my. Our young ladies, I think that's mighty important,
don't you? Let me ask Margaret, who turns
55 soon. Margaret, there's a young lady
down there named Elizabeth. How important is it that she
hear the gospel? What if there was none other
but her? Is it worthwhile? Oh, my. What if Elizabeth Torrance is
in glory using Gabe Stonica? John Newton once said to a young
preacher in a note in a letter, he said, you greatly overestimate yourself
if you do not consider it worth your time to spend ten thousand
years for the labor of one soul. If you see that one soul in heaven,
you'll praise God to high heaven for the rest of eternity for
His grace and His power. My, my. That gave me comfort. You know, I know that glory,
the people, religion's glory and their shame. Well, we glory in the Lord. I
know it's so. I know this is the truth. I know this is the
gospel I preach. I know it is. I'm a poor preacher, but I know
this is the truth. There are better preachers out
there. I know that. There's one sitting there. Two, there's no
better truth than this. There's no better gospel than
this. You look at what Hannah had that
the other did not. Oh, come on with me now. Verse
4, it says that the Lord of the Elkanah gave to Peninnah and
her sons and daughters portions, that means possessions, things,
gave lots of things to them to pacify them. And the Lord giveth
all things to all creatures. His tender mercies are over all
His work. Anything anyone has is of the
Lord. What do men have they have not
received? And oh, how the Lord has given
and given and given material things to people in this world.
But that doesn't mean they have the love of the Lord. It doesn't
mean that they are blessed by the Lord. Do you remember what
the blessing of the Lord is? Oh, the Lord blessed thee. and keep thee, and the Lord make
His face shine upon you, and have mercy upon you." The blessing of the Lord, look
at it. Verse 5, it says, But unto Hannah he gave a worthy
portion. He loved her. He gave her a worthy
portion. A portion worthy of note. Worthy
to note this. He had her love. A portion worthy
of all acceptation. A portion worthy of God himself. He loved Hannah and he gave,
it says, a worthy portion. The word is a double portion. Double portion. We've received,
Brother John, of the Lord's hand, double. He loved Hannah. You know, I thought about this. Adam and Eve in the garden had
none of those earthly or material things that we call blessings
of the Lord today. None of them. Before they had
children. They had none of those things
that people call blessings of the Lord. Except food. They didn't even have rainwater.
They didn't need it. They had none of those things.
And in heaven, in Revelation, there's no mention of things. What is everybody doing? Enjoying the Lord. Enjoying the
Lord Himself. The Lord says, I'll be with you. I'll never leave you. Adam and
Eve knew what it was for the Lord to leave them. And then
they lived 900 and some years accumulating things, and yet
they were not very happy. Or you who married for love. Do you remember early on when
you had nothing? When you and Ed had nothing? Do you remember what did you
need but each other? Look at verse 8, Tocana said
to Hannah, Hannah, why weepest thou? Why eatest thou not? Why
is thy heart grieved? Am not I better to thee than
ten sons? Oh, the Lord has given us a double
portion, Himself and His Son, the Lord God and His Spirit.
Love, the Lord has given us His love and all things needful. Necessary for life and God. The
Lord has given us His undivided attention and care and clothes
and jewelry and a few of these knick-knacks. The Lord has given
us His care, His time, His presence and a good wagon and a wash tub.
That's about all it is. A good wagon to ride in and a
wash tub. A brand new wash tub. It's going to break. Ask Sammy.
It's going to break tomorrow. The Lord has given us a double
point. Am I not better to you than all of this stuff? It's actually an insult to God. That's why he calls it idolatry. Covetousness is idolatry for
a man to like stuff better than me. It's like for a woman who
marries for love and ends up leaving him for stuff. No, no, am I not better to thee
than ten sons? The Lord has given us a double
portion. Not only pardon, listen to this,
not only pardon us death row criminals have received pardon,
but adoption. You wouldn't do that to a criminal. You might forgive him, pardon
him, but you wouldn't take him home with you. The Lord did.
We've received mercy. Not just spared us, but grace
given us. He received not only forgiveness,
I forgive you, but He forgot it. Not only forgiveness, but
acceptance. Free grace. Not only justification,
but sanctification. Not only peace with God. Mindy
and I talked about these things the other night after the message. The riches that God gives us
in Christ, you cannot put a monetary value on. Peace of mind. Peace of heart. The whole world
spending a fortune trying to settle their nerves. Why? God is angry. That's why. He said there is no rest to the
wicked. There will not be any rest, any
peace with any human being that fights against God. We're not
fighting God anymore. We're not. God's not. He's killed
that enmity. We have now peace with God. And
so therefore we have peace of mind. Peace be unto thee, our
Lord said. Peace be unto thee in every situation. Be of good cheer. Yeah, but what? But God. Be of good cheer. I've loved you. I've redeemed
you. You have me. You have me. Double portion. Not only peace
with God, but peace of mind. Be of peace of mind. Cast all
your care on the Lord. People, you people, pour out
your heart for the Lord. Remember that verse? Psalm 62?
You people, pour out your heart before the Lord. He's a refuge
for us. Cast your care upon Him. Hannah,
the Lord gave Hannah a baby boy. Samuel, what'd she do? She kept him awhile and gave
him back. You know how tough that was?
Two-year-old boy, she brings a two-year-old boy, Tammy, all
the way, way far away from home and says, Here! That was harder
than having children, wasn't it? Did the Lord bless that? Gave her
five more. Five more. Whatever is given
to the Lord, He will repay. Whatever is done for his glory,
Hannah did bear fruit. The Lord gave her one boy, Samuel. Oh man, wouldn't you
like to have one son like Samuel? Rather than ten little monsters? Better to have one sheep than
ten goats. Oh, I'd take one Jeanette Berry
any day over a thousand of these holiness women. I'm sorry. That's just so. And do you know every barren
woman in Scripture ended up having a son that gave God all the glory? That's what it's for. Sarah went
90 years without a child. And then she had one. One? Isaac. To the praise of the glory of
God's grace. Hannah had Samuel. Manoah's wife. You remember Manoah's
wife? She was barren. The Lord gave
her one son. Oh, Samson. Elizabeth. Mary's cousin. She was a barren woman. The Lord
gave her one son. John the Baptist. See, this is
all a picture of it. Whether you have or have not.
And whatever the Lord gives to His own, it's for this. It's
just for this one purpose. To the praise of the glory of
His grace. It's all for His glory. Have
or have not. I'll give you one. Folks, our
little assembly, the world scoffs at it. He just scoffs at it. How many of you are running?
I asked Brother Scott that one time early on in his preaching,
and there weren't many. And he said, are you talking
about cattle or what? Running. See, they're doing that for their
glory. How many have you got? I can say this. Somebody asked
me, do you have any children before the grand girl? Yes, one. Oh, do I have a child? Oh, has the Lord given me a wonderful
child? How many do you have there in
your church? We have three people. who really love the Lord. I mean, they love the Lord. They
are in it for His glory. Three people who hated Him before,
now love Him now. Three people who did everything
for their glory before, now get a hit of all the glory. Three
people who hate themselves and love the Lord, who hate the truth
and love the truth. Three people who have been brought
from darkness to light, death to life. Three people. by the
miraculous power and grace, sovereign grace, and sovereign electing
grace, and mercy and grace of God. Three glorious people that
God Almighty has saved for all eternity! Hallelujah! Isn't it
wonderful? Three! We've got three! Amen. One! We've got one! Remember I told you Abel
was the first person in heaven. One person was singing at the
top of his lungs to the praise of the Lord God. How many? It's not how many. Not in a dollar. Whether one or a new. God is
going to get the glory and God has the victory. Oh, the Lord. You know, we've got some ladies
in here who had miscarriages or whatever. They've had children. They've had children. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. They didn't get to know
their names or hold them. But they can be certain of this.
They're one of God's elect. And God used you to put one of
His elect in heaven. Whoa! To the praise of the glory
of His breath. That's what this story is all
about. That's what our story is all about. That's what it's
all about. To His glory. We've got a wonderful husband,
though. My, my. What a privilege just to know
him. And everything else he gives
us is just great. It's just wonderful. But the
greatest thing of all is to be married to him. We'll see someday.
We'll see someday. Oh my, we don't need anything
but him. Alright, Brother Gabe. Let's
turn to hymn number 13 and stand together. We'll sing the first and third verse. Praise ye the Lord, the Almighty,
the King of creation.
