Ten lepers are healed by the Lord Jesus Christ, but only one turns back to Christ. "Where are the nine?"
All men are lepers; dead and dying. Only a few turn to the Lord. Where are the others?
Why don't all men praise the Lord?
Why do some?

This message is for thee. Take
my silver and my gold. God of my good I withhold. God of my good I withhold. Take my love, my God, I pour,
have Thy feet in treasure store. Take myself and I will be ever
only all for Thee, ever only all for Thee. Okay, go back with me to Luke
17. One way, clear evidence that
this is God's Word is the infinite wisdom in just one line. This great, profound truth in
one line. Verse 11 says, It came to pass. That's written quite often in
Scripture, isn't it? It came to pass. Whatever
it is, whatever comes, will pass. Whether it be good or evil. In this life, whatever comes
will pass. And if it comes the Lord gave,
and the Lord will take away. Everything. People, places, things. All things come to pass. Except one thing. when he comes, when the Lord
Jesus Christ comes and sets up his abode, when he gives life,
eternal life, he will never pass away. Never. It came to pass,
verse 11, and as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through. the midst
of Samaria and Galilee. He came, didn't He? And He passed
through. He was only here for 33 years.
Oh my, what all He did in 33 years. He did an eternal work. in thirty-three years. That's
because of who he is. But he came. He passed. He left. He passed through. He's
on his way to Jerusalem. He started out in Bethlehem,
didn't he? And from there he was on his
way to Jerusalem, to Calvary. Everything he did was toward
going to the cross of Calvary. He came. He who? It came to pass. John said that
which was from the beginning. We heard that which we declare
unto you. That word of life that was manifest
unto us. It. That. That holy thing. He. God. Emmanuel came to this earth and
he began at Bethlehem, on his way to Jerusalem, came into this
world for one purpose. That we might have life. That
his people might have life. To save his people with a great
salvation. To establish a righteousness.
To put away their sins. to go to Calvary's tree and become
sin for us, for he who knew no sin, that we might be made the
righteousness of God and die through him. That's why he came. On his way to Jerusalem. And
he passed through various places. It says that he passed through
the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Our Lord still comes. is still passing through. Yes,
he is. The gospel. He said, where two or three are
gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst. That's
not figure of speech. The Lord is a real person. And
by His Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, He is there. That's
true. It's true. And he's still passing
through the midst of various places. The Gospel comes because
God has sheen. But it passes. It always has. That's why it's such a precious
thing, why we have it. It comes to pass. It began at
Jerusalem. The Gospel began the church at
Jerusalem. But then it left Jerusalem, didn't
it? Huh? It left Jerusalem and spread
out throughout all of the world and left Asia and all of that. Left there, it came. There's
sheep there. He called out his sheep and it
passed, didn't it? Passed by various places, but went right
through the middle of Philippi, Ephesus, Laodicea, Thyatira,
Sardis, and so on and so forth, didn't it? Galatia, Cappadocia. Went right through the middle.
Yes, he did. Calling out his sheep. But it
passed. You know, verse 12, it says,
verse 12, he entered into a certain village. Every line. Every line is important. Every
word. God chose carefully His words. He
entered into a certain village. How many villages were around
that area? But he entered into this particular
village that the Lord Himself chose to go there. It was a village, not a city. Are you with me? It was a village.
It was a little town. A small little one-horse town
we called it. A little one red light town. or one-stop sign town, a village,
a common place, not a big city where there were mighty and noble,
just common, ordinary people, working class, poor, lowly people,
a village, not a special place, a village, small people, a small
place. But he came there. You know, it said that in the
very beginning, Thou Bethlehem, Ephratah, though thou be littlest
and smallest among the nations, yet out of thee shall come he
whose goings forth have been of old everlasting. Why did he
choose Bethlehem? To show, well, number one, that's
the city of David. And this is the son of David,
the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Because the Scripture says so.
But to show, are you great? Are you something? Are you a
great people? And that's why the Lord came
to you? Are you a noted? Does he need this big? Oh no, it's a nothing and a nobody.
And he came to show that that's who he comes for. Nobodies. This is a certain village. This
little town of Rocky Mount is a certain village that the Lord
God of Glory chose to come here. Yes! To come here and pass by
countless places and to bring the glorious gospel of His Son
to this little blip in the road. That's amazing. And who did he come to save? A leper of all people. Look at it. Verse
12, it says, There met him ten lepers. He entered into a certain
village. There met him ten men that were
lepers, which stood afar off. Ten men. They were all lepers.
Ten men. They were all different. Ten
men, different names, different faces, different personalities,
different upbringing, different occupations, different backgrounds. Ten different men, but they all
have one thing in common. They're lepers. And they're dying. And you know. You know, leprosy is all through
the Scriptures. All the way back in Exodus, the
Lord began to deal with this thing of leprosy. Do you know
who sent leprosy? The Lord did. The Lord did. And you can find
that for yourself in Leviticus 17. Or 14, I forget. Ask me later
and I'll show it to you. that the Lord sent it because
of sin and rebellion. But anyway, all through the Scriptures,
leprosy is spoken of. It's a very common thing. All the way through the Old and
New Testament, Matt, leprosy is everywhere. It's everywhere.
A lot of people have it. It's a common thing. It's a common
thing. Many had it. Many had it. All were affected by it. Everybody
knew somebody that was affected by it. Either they had it or
knew somebody that did. Everybody was affected by it.
Everybody saw the awful consequences of it. It was everywhere. Leprosy
was a horrible disease. Horrible disease. It was always
fatal. Always fatal. Nobody ever lived
through leprosy. Everybody died of leprosy. There
was no cure. It was a disease that ate away
the flesh. This is what it did. It ate flesh.
Living flesh became dead flesh until that flesh became ugly,
rotten, until from the sole of your foot to the top of your
head there was no soundness in it. Nothing but wounds and bruises
and putrefying, obnoxious, nauseating, stinking sores. That's right. Let us not talk about this. Oh
no, we've got to talk about this. Because this is talking about
something we all have. It's going to kill us. It's going
to kill us and our children if somebody doesn't save us. It's not a fairytale. Leprosy was a horrible disease. It began on the inside. You couldn't
see it at first. You couldn't see it. A man could
have it and not know it. Think he's alright, but he's
got leprosy. But it began to show itself in little ways. Little ways. Until those little
ways became big ways. Big flesh. Flesh. Until finally that person
became, you couldn't stand to be around. Nobody could. And they had to put them in a
place where clean people could not be affected by them. Far
off. If they got around anybody clean,
they had to say, unclean, unclean. And then in the end, when it
finally took its course, they all died. They died. It's a real disease. What is leprosy? It's sin. Hannah, that's why
the Lord speaks of it from Exodus to Revelation. It's a picture
of sin. And people often accuse us of
talking too much about sin, don't they? And you hear very little of it
in preaching today. They mostly are treating the
symptoms. Try to. But sin is the issue. By one man, sin entered into
the world. And what? Death. By sin. Sins. Sins are the evidence,
the outward manifestation, the effects, Brother Mack, of sin. Sin is a nature, an evil nature
within every human being and every single person is born with
it. People deny that, don't they?
They deny that. Original sin by one man's sin
in the world and death by sin. And our little children, we look
at our little children. And they look so precious, don't
they? So alive and beautiful and innocent. Don't they? Are they? David said, in sin
did my mother conceive me. He said, I was shapen in iniquity. Come forth from the womb. And this sin that's in us all,
if something's not done about it, if someone doesn't cure it, put
it away, it's going to kill us. As a matter of fact, we're dead
and dying from it. Dead and dying. But we talk much
about sin because that's the issue. It's the issue that we
all suffer from, and our children suffer from. And we all have
one thing needful. These ten men were lepers, weren't
they? Ten different men, but they all
had leprosy. They all were dying. They all
need one thing. There's only one hope for them
all. Brother John, ten men, ten different men, they had the same
need. There's one thing needful. One hope. One help for all ten
of these men. It was one person that could
help them. That could save them. That could
cure them. Jesus Christ. One person in the
whole universe. And it's still the same today. One person. One hope. One help. One salvation. One Lord. In a little bit, I'm going to
really illustrate this so everyone in here will understand something
about sin in a minute and the way we can really enter into
it. But it really is desperate. I'm
preaching. I'm trying and all that. And
if the Spirit of God, though, will bring it home to us just
how desperate this thing is and how deadly it is for us and our
children, we'll see that there's one hope. There's one hope. Oh,
it's a blessed hope, a good hope, a sure hope, an eternal hope
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Verse 13, they all lifted up
their voices and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy upon us. Every
one of these fellows, all ten of these fellows were in pain.
They were suffering physically. They were in pain. They were
in trouble. Every one of them lost their
jobs. All ten of these men lost their jobs. All ten of these
men had to leave their families. Lost family. All ten of these
men were suffering physically. They lost their health. They
lost their happiness. All ten of these men lost their
jobs, their homes, their families, their health, and their happiness.
And all ten of them said, Jesus! All ten of them said, Jesus!
Teacher! Help us! Every human being, at some point
in their life, every sinner will get into trouble because of sin. And every human being will go
through sickness, suffering, deprivation, loss, pain, sorrow,
troubles, and so forth. And many, if not most, call on
God some way. Jesus. A lot of people call on
Jesus. Look, what for? Get me out of
my problems. Help me. And He does. Bless His holy name. If somebody gets out of trouble,
He did it. Doesn't matter what it is. Doesn't matter who it is. If
anybody is healed of anything, the Lord Jesus Christ did it.
Look at it, verse 14. It says that when He saw them,
His eyes behold, His eyelids try the sons of men. Scripture
says His tender mercies are over all His works. The rain falls
on the unjust as well as the just. And He does. People call. And He has mercy
on them. Do you hear me? Do you hear the
Word? If anybody receives anything,
if the man can receive nothing except it be what? Given him
from above. All the blessings. If anybody
is blessed, God blessed them. If anybody gives something, God
gave it. If something is taken away, God
took it away. If anybody is sick, of the Lord. If anybody's healed, the Lord did. Right? Why? He said, I, the Lord, do
all these things. Why? It's for His glory. What
does He require? What does the Lord require of
us human beings? Worship. Thank you. If you did anything, thank you. In everything, give thanks. Thank you. Well, our Lord looked
on them and He healed them. Verse 14 says, He said to them,
Go show yourselves unto the priests. Now, back in Leviticus, the book of
Leviticus, a very particular meticulous details about leprosy. Especially Leviticus 13, 14,
and 15. You'll read that. You'll see
how when a man comes, he thinks he's got leprosy. He thinks he's got leprosy. And
in these verses, it's clear. The Lord makes it very clear
to someone whether or not they have it or not, exposes, you
know, they may think they don't have it, and you say, oh, that's
it. Very clear descriptions of what leprosy is. Because the
disease has to be discovered. It has to be known. If you've
got it, you better find out about it. Because you're going to die
from it. And he gives meticulous detail.
Are you with me? Are you with me? And then, Brother
Wesley, throughout those chapters, he gives meticulous details how
it can be healed. There's only one way. There's
only one way for leprosy to be healed. It will kill you. If
you find out you've got it, it's a good thing to find out you've
got it. And the meticulous detail. He goes into exact detail. He
had a priest. You've got to go to that priest
and tell him, I'm a leper, I'm unclean. You've got to confess.
You've got to have a priest. And he's going to cleanse this
leprosy. It's going to be done away with
one way. One way. Blood. Come on. One way. Blood. The priest must go in to the
Holy of Holies with this blood. and offer up this sacrifice for
this dying, dead leper. And if he does that, whoever
he does that for, he's going to be clean. What is all that speaking of?
No man ever got rid of leprosy. No priest in the Old Testament
ever put away leprosy. Not one single bull or goat or
turtle dove or lamb ever put away leprosy. It's not possible. What is this speaking of? The
Lord Jesus Christ. In the volume of the book, it's
written of Him, Lo, I come to do what? Heal leprosy. the great
high priest to whom we confess. Christ is all of this. He's the
priest. He's the sacrifice. He's the
place. He's the temple. Man's sin is
put away one way. The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And if we confess, if we come as lepers, as sinners, He is
faithful. He's the faithful hypocrite.
And he's just to put away our sin, to forgive us our sin, and
the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. There's one way. Well, so all ten of these men,
verse 14, all ten of these men went. They left. And on the way,
on the way, all ten of them were cleansed of leprosy. The physical
disease of leprosy. All of them. How were they healed?
Who healed them? The Lord Jesus Christ did. Yes,
sir. All ten of them. All ten of them. Isn't that amazing? Wonderful. Look at verse 15. One of them. Only one. When he saw that he was healed,
he turned back. Where did he turn? He went back to the Lord Jesus
Christ. Where did the other nine go?
I guess they went to the priest. I guess they went, Brother John,
Micah, I guess they went to the temple. and showed themselves
to the priests. Or maybe they didn't. They said,
Sam, maybe six of them did, and the other two said, there ain't
no sense in that now, I'm healed. You know, many today show themselves
to men and do so and so and so forth. But this one fellow, when he saw that he was healed,
it says, turned back. And look at it. Turned back with
a loud voice. Now, I've never had leprosy.
Well, I do have leprosy. But he had actually had leprosy.
He's dying. He knows it. And all of a sudden,
his flesh is like a newborn child. He thought, my life is over.
Maybe he had a hand missing at the time. Maybe he couldn't walk.
He's stumbling like this. He's dying on his nose. All of
a sudden, he's a changed man. He's a new creature. He doesn't
have leprosy anymore. And man, he turns back with a
loud voice. And I can't imitate it. Well,
I have before. With a loud voice that glorified
God. Blessed be the God and Father
of our lives. I don't know what he said, but
he said, praise God with a loud voice from the top of his lungs.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. Bless
His holy name. Hallelujah. And that wasn't just
a song. It was from his heart. Praise
the Lord. Thank you, God. And he says he fell down at God's
feet. Yes, he glorified God and fell
at His feet. He glorified God. Look at it.
Look at it. Verse 15. One of them, when he
was healed, turned back with a loud voice, glorified God,
comma, and fell down on his face at His feet. Whose feet? God's
feet. And thanked Him. Who? God. Who? Jesus Christ. This really is God, the healer
of lepers, the Savior of sinners. He fell down at His feet. This
is worship. If you want a definition of worship,
there's not a better one in Scripture than this right here. cleansed,
a healed leper, glorifying God, falling on his face in humility
and unworthiness and at the feet and giving thanks to the Lord
Jesus Christ. That's worship. If we want to
worship, it's what worship is. He who they that worship, worship
God in spirit, from the heart. It's not always with a loud voice. Sometimes, but it's from the heart. Oh,
my. And they rejoice in the Lord
Jesus Christ. So great salvation. Savior of
sinners. Putting away my sin. And he thanked Him. This is worship. Glorifying God. We come here, I hope, I pray,
I hope for myself, for you, that we come here to worship God by
glorifying God. Give Him all the glory. He deserves
it, doesn't He? He's worthy of it. And we fall at the feet of the
Lord Jesus Christ because God has made Him Lord. And we give Him thanks, don't
we? We give Him thanks. Thank You, Lord, for saving my
soul. Thank You, Lord, for making me
whole. Thank You, Lord, for giving to me Thy great salvation so
rich and so free. Some thank the Lord for this
and that, and we should. But I would praise Him for His
grace, for His mercy, for His salvation. That's it. Every time,
don't we? We talk about sin because that's
the issue. We talk about Christ. I've thought about this before. I'm told to comfort our people.
We're told to comfort ye, comfort ye my people, but not first. Not first. There's 39 chapters
before that. And I want to comfort our sons
and daughters, but not first. I want them to get real uncomfortable.
I'm hoping and praying that the Lord will break their hearts
over sin and show them that they have a deadly disease and it's
only one person can get rid of it. And they themselves will
have to go as a leper to this Lord and beg Him to save them. And if they do, it will be clear. And then I can tell them with
wonderful joy and confidence, I can comfort them and tell them the good news that Christ came
into this world to say, oh, you're a sinner now, are you? A leper?
Good. You have a hope, a good hope. And it says he was a Samaritan. That's significant. Every word
of God is so significant. He was a Samaritan. What's that?
Samaritans is a Jew and Gentile, and neither Jew or Gentile liked
the Samaritans. Everybody hated Samaritans. Jews
hated them. Gentiles hated them. They were
the chief of sinners. And so this leper was the chief
leper. The other lepers hated him. Why did he turn back? Our Lord said in verse 17, the
Lord said, were there not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Where are your buddies? Where
are your friends, your fellow lepers? They're not found to
return to give glory to God save this stranger. This one who was a far off stranger. Why was he brought nigh, Brother
John? Why did he turn back? Why? The
Lord turned him. The Lord turned him. He wouldn't
have turned. None would have been healed unless
the Lord healed, and none of them would have turned unless
the Lord turned. One out of ten, a tenth returned. You ever read
that? Yeah, a tenth, a remnant, according
to the election of grace. It's not of him that willeth,
Brother Henry. It's not of him that runneth. It's of God that
showeth mercy. Not of him that willeth, but it's of God that
calleth. Election. Chosen. One of them turned, it
says turned and returned. Turned back. The Lord asked this
question, now where are the nine? Where are the nine? You think about the utter ingratitude
of those nine men. the unthinkable
ingratitude of those nine men, that they wouldn't so much as
turn around and thank the Lord Jesus Christ for healing them. Now, think about that. Are they ungrateful? Are they
completely idiots? Isn't that their reasonable service?
Huh? Isn't it? Why wouldn't they just
turn around and thank you? But they wouldn't do that. And neither would we. Neither
would you. Neither would I. Unless the Lord
turned. My, my. Turn us, O Lord, and
we'll be turned. Lord, turn my daughter, and she
won't be turned. My son, Lord, my daughter is
vexed with a spirit. Lord, unless you do something
for her. Would you turn her? She will not be turned. Turn
us. And turn us. And turn us. And turn us. Turn us back. He turned and returned. We have to be turned constantly,
don't we? Verse 19, so the Lord said, now
here's what the Lord said to this man in the end. Verse 19, the Lord said unto
him, yes him, that he turned back, glorified God, fell at
the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ and gave him thanks for healing
him, for taking away this affliction. The Lord said these glorious
words to this man, this man and him alone. One out of nine. He
said to him, Arise, go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole. You are now not just cleansed
of your leprosy, you are whole. You are complete. Everything
about you is complete. You are now looked on by God
Almighty as holy, unblameable, unapprovable in God's sight.
Now every ordinance that's written against you is blotted out. All
of your sins, your past, your present, your future are blotted
out, forgiven you for my namesake. Your iniquity will someday be
found. The accuser of you will try to
bring him up, but it won't be found. It's gone. You're whole.
You're complete. You're holy. before God Almighty,
completely whole. Though you will die someday of
something, you will not die eternally, but live forever. You're whole. Complete. Wow! He came to me. He trusted me. He thanked me. That's it. That's faith. Do you mean just by trusting
Christ? Just by looking to Christ? Just by thanking Christ? Just
by worshiping God and rejoicing in Christ? That God, I will go
to heaven? That's right. Well, you'd think that would
be easy, wouldn't you? It's not. It's not. It takes the Spirit
of God. Well, I've been talking about
leprosy, alright? Do I have your attention? Let me give you an
illustration that everybody in here can relate to. And I've
only spoken about thirty-seven minutes. We've been talking about leprosy,
and leprosy has practically eradicated it. But we do have something
that all of us can relate to. Cancer. What if you went to the doctor and some have heard these horrible
words, either personally or about somebody you love, you have cancer? This is the worst day of your
life? Is it the worst day of your life,
Gary? It's horrible. It's a dreaded disease. And if it's not cured, It will
kill you. It doesn't matter what it is.
It's a little spot. A little melanoma. It will kill you. Cancer. It's something on the
inside. It's eaten away at your flesh. Those who have had it, they know
it. They feel it. Though it can't
be seen, they know it. They feel it. One out of three
Americans gets it. Four out of five families has
someone in the family that gets it. Is there hope? If you get it,
if somebody calls you, if the doctor, you go to the doctor
and he says you have cancer, What's the first thing you're
going to do? Is there hope? Is there treatment? Tell me about the best doctor.
I want the best doctor. You don't mind going to the doctor
then, will you? You may have not gone to the doctor in years,
but buddy, now he becomes your life, doesn't he? Nobody beats cancer. And I despise that. Don't you
despise that when people talk about that? Huh? Give anybody
glory but God. Nobody beats cancer. The Lord
cures it. And nobody beats sin. The Lord puts it away. But cancer,
upon being diagnosed, my family had it. At one time I thought
I had it, and it was awful. I had some symptoms. And it is, every time we get
something we don't understand, a little lump or a symptom we've
never had before, what do you immediately expect to suspect?
Every one of us. We fear this. This was on a weekend
or something, and I went to the doctor and had some tests run. I had to wait all weekend to
find out the result. It was awful. But upon being diagnosed with
cancer, you go to a doctor and he tells
you, Brother Henry, you've got it. And he tells you, there's
only one thing. It can be done. And you believe
Him, don't you? You trust yourself to Him. And
generally, what happens is you go through a long and painful
treatment. There's no way, there's no pleasant
way to get rid of something that's killing you. A foreign thing
that's eating you up. There's no pleasant way. It has
to be bombarded. It has to be poisoned. It has
to be killed or it'll kill you. And it's never pleasant. Brother
Henry, it's not pleasant, is it? It's painful. It's a long
treatment. And when we talk about putting
away of sin, This is why it's so abominable to God Almighty
for people to say that there's any cure for sin, any way to
put away sin other than the crucifixion, the bloody death of the Lord
Jesus Christ on Calvary's tree. Horrible death that the Son of
God had to endure, go through hell to put away our one sin. That's right. God had to kill
His Son to keep from killing us. That's how serious it is. And for people to say, you know,
all you've got to do is this and that and you'll come down
front, that's blasphemy. That's making a mockery. That's trotting underfoot the
blood of the Son of God. He didn't have to do that. Cancer.
Often you think the treatment is worse than the disease. Right? Money, right? Often the
treatment is so bad that you think, this is killing
me. That I'm going to die from this
treatment. Now, what am I getting at? This thing called sin has
to be exposed. There's no pleasant way to tell
men that they're dying of leprosy. What a horrible disease it is.
And the treatment, it's not pleasant. We don't hear
pleasant things. We don't hear comfortable things.
You know, peace, peace when there is no peace. We don't need to
hear that. We need to hear about what a horrible disease we've
got. And if there's one way And often when a person comes
to hear the gospel and they hear all these things, it convicts
them, it breaks their heart, and they're guilty and they feel
ashamed of their sin. You think, God's going to kill
me. That's just the treatment. That's
the treatment that goes toward the cure. You've
got to recognize the first step in your cure is to realize you've
got the disease. Cancer. Horrible thing. Horrible
thing to discover. Deadly disease. But as I said,
the first step in the cure is to discover. Then, what if you
go through all these treatments, and you think you're dying. You
know you've got this deadly disease. And then one day, one day, you
go back to the doctor. You keep going to Him. You keep
going to Him. You keep going to Him. And then
one day you go to Him and He says, You know what? I've looked at the x-rays and
I've looked at your blood work and it's gone. You mean I'm clean? How would you feel? You don't
know unless you have. Brother Marvin called me to give
me that wonderful news. He said, Paul. He couldn't get
the words out, could he, Brother Gay? He said, Paul. He said,
oh. He said, oh. He said, when I heard Linda had
cancer, oh. He said, oh. He said, I went
back and the doctor said, oh. He said, you just don't know.
When He tells you, I can't find it. It's not there. You're clean. He said, Paul,
I don't think I've ever worshipped like that. Except one time. When you find out you're a sinner. But God is rich in mercy. Forgiveness. Clean. You're clean. He does this for every single
leper that comes and says, unclean. He says, you're clean. Now, just
a few more minutes. The joy and the rejoicing. Marvin
couldn't say it. He had joy unspeakable. He had
joy unspeakable and full of glory. And you know, from then on, tell
me about it, from then on, that person cured little things that
they once took for granted are now greatly appreciated. They're right by the hemorrhage.
Little things you once took for granted, didn't pay any attention
to, just waking up in the morning with no pain. Without that fear. Breath. Friends. Your wife, your loved
one. We've lived all our lives before
the Lord sent the Gospel, taking every single thing He's ever
done for us for granted. Never giving God a thought. Then
one day, by mercy and His grace, He reveals to us our sin. You
sin. Why sin against God? For that
reason. Ingratitude. Ingratitude. Lived all your life, never gave
God a thought. Then He reveals, this is your problem. This is
what's wrong with you. Bad wrong with you. You're an
ungrateful, unworthy leper that I don't need. I've done all this
for you. He never gave me a thought. Oh,
I have. Oh, no. But I put away your sin. And then the carefulness. Then
after you realize you're clean, there's a great degree of carefulness.
Diet, lifestyle, things known to promote cancer. I don't want
any more of that. People that are infected with
it. Where'd those other nine go? Maybe went back to their
leprous buddy, friend, back to the leper. Why would you want
to do that? Those evil communications will corrupt a good man. You'll
get leprosy. And you know, underlying, even
though clean, you still have a fear. What is it? And it will come back. Psalm 130 says this, there is
forgiveness with thee for the chief leper that thou mayest
be feared. And lo and behold, you feel alone. You feel a symptom. What do you
do? You think it's come back. What
do you do? I'll tell you what you do. You
run as fast as you can to the same one who pronounced you free. You run back as fast as you can
because he's still your only hope. He's still your only hope. And what you'll find then is
he'll tell you, no, it hasn't come back. The fact is you've
always had it. You'll have it until the day
you die, but that's not going to kill you. No, no. You're whole. You're complete. You'll die of something, but
it won't be of your sins. Isn't that good news? That's not going to kill you.
You'll not die at all. You'll die of something, but
it'll just be sleep. Don't worry about that. You come
back, you're worried it will come back. You come back, return
unto Him. Brother Kelly, you'll hear Him
say the same thing. You lay hold of the beginning
of your hope, your confidence, steadfast in the end. You come
back and you feel the symptom. You come back and what you'll
hear from Him is what you heard the first time. Clean. Now go
and sin no more. Alright, may the Lord use that.
