All right, thank you. Let me see. Though the wrong seems all so
strong, God is the ruler yet." Remember that line. All right,
let's ask the Lord to bless our time. Our Heavenly Father, we come before you tonight with praise and thanksgiving to acknowledge thee, that thou
art God, beside thee there is none else, that you are our Creator,
that you are our Lord and Master. We are in your hands, the God
in whose hands our breath is and all our ways, the great Jehovah, in whom we live and move and
have our being. We come tonight to acknowledge
you, we come to worship, exalt, praise your holy name for all
you are and all that you do and have done. We unite our hearts with that
one purpose in mind. We are those of like faith. and gathered together with one
accord to worship our God and to hear from you, from your word,
to sit, to listen, to learn, to hear what you have to say
to us. And we want to receive it as little children. We want to be, O Lord, as Christ
said, converted, become as little children, that we might enter
into the kingdom because of such is the kingdom of God. We come tonight to hear from
you and to bow to your word. We believe every word that you
have written, every word you've spoken. And Lord, in spite of what modern
man says, we believe and are sure that
thou art God, that your Son was sent by you to save sinners. He is now Lord over all, dead
and living, and we acknowledge him as such. and long to see
him someday and be with him according to his will. We ask
forgiveness of our sins through that same name, through the shed
blood of Jesus Christ, your Son. It's in his name we pray and
ask and give thanks and are met together tonight. Amen. Alright, turn with me to Matthew
24. Matthew chapter 24. I don't know what you're going
to think about this message. I hope you will profit from it. I hope it makes
you think. If I were to say, and this is the title of the
message, as in the days of Noah, what would you think my subject
tonight would be on? The coming of Christ, is that
what you said? That's right, that's what he
said here. I know we've looked at this subject many times in
the last few years, but that's what believers are looking forward
to. And that's what it means to wait
and watch. Consider, look at Matthew 24, beginning with verse 32. Matthew
24, verse 32. The Lord said, learn a parable
of the fig tree. when his branches yet tender
and put as forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh. So likewise you, when you shall
see all these things, know, know that it, or he, is near, even
at the doors. Verily I say unto you, this generation
shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and
earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Of that day and hour knoweth
no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But, and he gives us a very revealing
clue here, as the days of Noah So shall also the coming of the
Son of Man be. Whereas in the days that were
before the flood, they were eating, drinking, marrying, and giving
in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and
knew not until the flood came and took them all away. So shall also the coming of the
Son of Man be. Now, I'm glad to see some young
people here tonight. I almost advised my wife to stay at home
tonight, keep Hannah at home, because I know how much homework
she has and how busy she is, and I'm sure these other young
people the same way. But I want these young people
to hear this, and I want you to hear this. I want you to pay
particularly close attention to this message. I want you to
hear this. You're not hearing this in school. You're not going
to hear any of this at school. You're going to hear the exact
opposite. Now, with each passing day, everything I see around me I can discern the face of the
sky, or that is, our Lord talked about sailors being able to read the
sky, how that if the sky at nighttime was red, it'd be fair weather
on the next day. But if it was red in the morning,
then there's going to be a storm coming." And he said, you ought
to be able to discern the face of the sky or the signs of the
times. He said, you ought to be able
to see what's going on around you and see clearly that Christ
is near. And every time I read the headlines, and some new something comes
up, it makes me think. And if you have a spiritual eye and a spiritual ear, you can
see and you can hear the approaching, what's the word? Well, the coming
thunder, the sound of the trumpet. I can hear that trumpet afar
off. Our Lord said here, look at verse
42. Matthew 24, verse 42, Watch, therefore, you know not what
hour your Lord doth come. Watch. That's what we're doing
tonight. That's what we're going to do. I hope you will watch
with me for a little while. Verse 44, Be ye also ready in
such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Now, he said there in verse 35,
Heaven and earth shall pass away, my word shall not pass You see, over in Revelation 19,
verse 10, it says the spirit of or the testimony of Jesus
is the spirit of prophecy. All prophecy has to do with the
person and the work of Christ. It all points to him, who he
is, what he did. The gospel of Christ is the very.
Essence of all prophecy to tell us who he is, what he did. That
he is indeed the Christ and. Now, listen. Don't drift on me. All prophecy. Concerning future
events. Testify. Or prove. what Christ said prove him to
be true. In other words, if everything
he said does not come true, he's a big liar. He's a liar. If what Jesus Christ said is
not true, and what modern man is saying is, then we're a bunch
of fools. I mean absolute idiots. for meeting
here on Wednesday night after you've worked ten hours, or however
long, to spend this time worshiping some imposter, some Jim Jones-type
fellow. Right? But he said now, he said,
heaven and earth is going to pass away. And everything I said
is true. That's the reason he kept saying,
barely, barely, Isaiah. The testimony, the spirit of
prophecy is a testimony or testifies, this is God, everything he says
is true. All right, look over 2 Peter
chapter 3, 2 Peter 3. And I don't need to ask you all
this question, but If I were asking the world, I would say,
do you believe Jesus Christ or do you believe Carl Sagan? You know who that is, Ron? You know, I didn't know until
just today that that fellow died, did you? I was glad to hear that. I'm serious. Is that hard? But that fellow was a so-called
expert, an expert astronomer. Some of you know, you're shaking
your head, you know. An atheist is what you are. And I would ask the world, do
you believe what Jesus Christ said, or do you believe what
that man said? You can't believe both. It can't be any middle
ground either, because they're poles apart. Do you believe the
Word of God or Time magazine? Huh? You can't believe both. They're
poles apart. There's no middle ground. You believe the Apostle
Peter or Pope Paul? The Pope said the other day he believes
in evolution. That's what he said. He said
he believes that's the way God created things. Second Peter three, look at this. Second Peter three. You know,
most people unquestionably believe anything that somebody like it
says. Unquestionable. They won't question, won't dare
question it. But they put a big question mark on every bit of
it. Second Peter three, verses one
through seven. Now this is written to believers
and he says, this second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you.
He says beloved four times. Now that's significant, especially
when you get to verse nine. And you remember that the world
loves to quote second Peter three nine. It's not written to the
world, it's written to the beloved. You remember that it says it
four times in this one chapter, beloved. Read on. This second
epistle, beloved, I write unto you and both In both, the first
and second, I stir up your pure mind by way of remembrance that
you be mindful of the words spoken before by the Holy Prophet, and
of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,
knowing this first. There shall come in the last
days scoffers walking after their own lusts, saying, Where is the
promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep,
all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
Let me paraphrase what that's saying. Says that in the last
days, people are going to mock and scoff and say, I don't see
that this Jesus Christ is coming. Prove it. Everything's going
on just like it always has. You understand that? They say,
I don't believe he's coming. Again, there are things that
keep going on year after year just like they always have. Look
at verse 5. But this they willingly read
on. Verse 5. Look at it. Verse 5. This they willingly
are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were
of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water.
Let's talk about creation. See that? This they are willingly
ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old. In other words, God spoke and
it came into existence. It didn't involve God spoke,
and it says they are willingly ignorant. I started to entitle
this message willingly ignorant. Most folks are willingly ignorant. It's not that there are not infallible. Irrefutable, undeniable proofs It's not it at all. Evolution's a big guess. Creation
has substantial proof. Evolution's a big guess. Creation has substantial proof.
But men are willingly ignorant. Read on, verse 6. "...Whereby
the world that then was being overflowed with water perished."
Now this they are willingly ignorant of. The flood. They're willingly ignorant, or
that is, refuse to believe that God created the world, and they're
willingly ignorant and refuse to believe that God destroyed
the same world by a flood. All right? See that? Willingly
ignorant. Refuse to believe. That means
I refuse to see that. See it, but decide I don't see
it that way. That's about the way they look
at all the Word of God. Verse 7. And the heavens and
the earth which are now by the same word are kept in store reserved
under fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly
men. This they are willingly ignorant.
I don't believe that. everybody's going to someday. Now turn to Romans 1, Romans
chapter 1. Men and women are willfully rejecting
the clearest evidence of true science. Paul talked about it in, I believe
it's 1 Timothy 6, I think, where he says, avoid profane and vain
babblings and opposition of science falsely so-called. Falsely so-called science. Science means truth. But they're
not out to get to the truth, folks. Science today is not out
to get to the bottom of things. They're not out to get truth.
Where would they get to if they got to the truth? There's an absolute Lord over
all. It's all in his hands. That's
what everything points to, the truth. That's the reason Paul
said it's falsely so called. It's not science at all. Men
and women are willingly ignorant of the clearest evidence. Paul
says in Romans 1, look at verse 18. The wrath of God is revealed
from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who
hold the truth in unrighteousness. That means they suppress the
truth. Are you with me? They suppress
the truth. They have it, but suppress it. for evil purposes, for gain,
for whatever. Suppress the truth. Now, this
is happening today. Brandon, listen to this message
now. This is happening today. This is what you're being taught
in school, a lie. It's suppressing the truth. It's
happening in religion. It's happening in so-called modern
science. Look at verse 19. That which
may be known of God is manifest in them, or to them. God has
showed it unto them. The invisible things of him from
the creation of the world are clearly seen, clearly seen, being
understood by things that are made." You remember the illustration of
the fellow with the watch? It couldn't be a simpler illustration,
but not a a more profound one. It would make a dutch out of
the most brilliant Nobel Prize winner. This so-called evolution
fellow, you know, was talking to this creation, this believer. The believer said, they were
talking about evolution as opposed to creation. And the believer
said, you have a watch on there? The fellow said, yeah. He said,
let me see it. And the believer looked at the watch and he said,
nice watch. Rolex. Wow. He said, no, this
is not a Rolex. This is Pulsar. It paid $24 for it, I think,
at JCPenney or somewhere. But anyway, the fellow looked
at Rolex, he said, or whatever. Nice watch, he said. Where'd
you get it? Oh, he said, I bought that at
Bloomingdale's, and it was imported directly from Switzerland. It
was handmade. You know how they're handmade.
He said, oh, the believer said, I don't believe that. I don't
believe that at all. He says, I believe that that
watch was just one day. There were a bunch of springs
and stems and crystals and bands and jewels and gears and quartzes
and just floating around out in space. Just floating around. All of a sudden a big explosion
took place. And now you have watches. And the evolutionist said, well,
you're a fool, man. You're more of one. If you can
look at all of this and say just a big explosion happened. I mean, people, it's an absolute
insult to the intelligence of a three-year-old child. I was
sitting at someone's table the other day, and she served up
about five or six or seven courses. of food, and there was about
four or five vegetables. I mean, there were carrots. Now,
they were bright orange and long and slender and so tasty. Now, over here were green beans.
Now, they're green. And over here was, what else
did we have? What did we have, Joe? Don't tell me I've forgotten.
Well, cabbage. Cabbage over here. And it's light
green, you know, and it's leafy. And something else. Now, four
or five different vegetables. We're just talking about vegetables
here. We haven't even got on a human being. We haven't got
on this creature, this greatest of all creations, the human body. That right there will tell you
evolution is absolutely surged to. Sun plant. Ever been another
one? Ever. And the trillions and trillions
of human beings have walked on this planet. There's never been
another one just like that one. Well, they hold the truth in
unrighteousness, clearly saying, it says in verse 20, it says that they're without
excuse. They're without excuse. Every time a doctor cuts open
a patient, he's without excuse. He sees that thing beating. What
makes a heart beat? I mean, what makes a heart beat? And then one day. I mean one day it starts. And one
day it stops. There's no battery. There's no
courts. Come on doctor so and so. What
makes a heartbeat. Well without excuse wise fools
look at verse twenty one it says that When they knew God, now,
they glorified him not as God. I mean, talking about creator.
Neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations. I mean, absolutely foolish, empty. Let's think of something. Foolish heart was darkened. Verse
22, professing themselves to be wise, they became utter fools. David said, David was sitting
there looking at the stars. We've done that, haven't you,
Rick, out there on the hill? And he said, the fool has said
there's no God. An utter fool. It says in verse twenty-eight,
look down there, it says, God gave them over to a reprobate
mind. Do you see that? Reprobate mind.
That means a mind void of judgment. That means that, Tricell, I'll
translate that for you, it means they don't have a little sense.
That's what that means. They don't have a little sense. Listen to me. Everything modern
science Modern religion is saying, is in direct opposition to this
book. Everything. Modern religion, now I've got
to hurry. Modern religion suppresses the
truth. You remember Paul said there,
they hold the truth in unrighteousness. They suppress the truth Both
religion and science do it for primarily one reason. Can you
think of what that one reason might be? To keep the truth back? Money. Money. Solomon said money answereth
all things. The love of money is the root
of all evil. Money is behind it somewhere. Whatever evil, whatever wrong,
whatever Lie, whatever money is behind it. I mean, illustrate.
Religion. The truth will set you free. But if you can keep back the
truth, Terry, you got to come to me to get it. Pay up, buddy. Pay up. That's what indulgences
and things are all about in the Catholic Church, so-called Catholic
Church. I left my wallet down on the
thing that I wrote down. I saw something in a magazine
the other day where the Pope had issued a, he sent a huge
picture of himself, framed picture of himself to some woman on her
90th birthday. And it said, it said, it said
he bestows his apostolic blessing on this woman on the occasion
of her ninth birthday, as was exact word used as confirmation
to confirm heavenly blessings. In other words, he said, I'm
God. I wonder what that picture cost
her. What would it cost? Indulgences. You know what those are Ed, don't
you? for people to pay money to the Catholic Church to get
their souls of their loved ones out of purgatory. You know that
goes on? Do you know that goes on? It
still goes on, people. How do you think Catholicism
gets its money? People aren't given money like
we are. Indulgences. They're actually
paying to get their souls out of purgatory. There's a halfway
house for sinners. That's what purgatory at half
way out. And people pay enough money and they've got loved ones
there. They know they're in heaven. They're these drunks. And they
know they're going to purgatory, so they pay enough to the so-called
church and get them out. Pay for their sins. You don't
believe that? So isn't it? That man's a church
historian back there. Money. Modern science. Same reason. Do you think? Let me give you
some example. Money answers the whole thing.
Holding back the truth from money. Suppressing. They suppress evidence. They suppress contradictory evidence
to what they are doing in order to retain government
funding. You think Mr. Leakey, you know
who that is, don't you? Mr. Leakey, he's the man that
discovered anthropoid Amazon man, or whatever his name was,
that first ape. It's supposed to have been man. He's the man that started all
that. He's the man that discovered
that first so-called jaw of the ape man. Do you think for a minute
now. Since he's getting thousands
and thousands and thousands of dollars from the government to
continue his studies over and after. Do you think for a minute
that he'd say it's just the jawbone of an ape? Do you think for a minute he'd
say we found the cow bone right beside it? Do you think for a
minute? It's just so. Let me give you
some examples here. In a minute here, we're going
to run over to Genesis chapter 6 and look at something, all
right? Just give me a few minutes. I'm knocking down this daygone. Evolution is accepted. I mean, none. You know, all the
skeletal remains to prove what's so-called evolution, oh, I'm
talking all the skeletal remains of so-called ape men that they
have found over the years could fit in a box about the size of
this table. Huh? I'm serious. Every last bone
fragment that they found could fit in a box that size. And I've
told you before what they do. They get a fragment with a tooth
in it and they construct the rest of it with clay. And then it hits the headlines. We've
discovered such and such. Send more money. I'm telling
you so. They hold the truth and unrighteously
suppress it. They suppress it. Brother Edgar
Andrews over in England is a renowned authority on this very subject.
He's written four or five books on the subject. He's a believer. Great gospel preacher. Bill Clark's
right hand man. I had four or five books by him
and studied down there. It's not. All this scientific
evidence can be refuted, totally refuted. The science is not going
to do it. They cut their own throat. You
see what I'm saying, Stan? Carbon dating, carbon dating,
that's where they get all this dating. Where they date things,
you know, so many millions of years. Carbon dating is absolutely
preposterous. Why, the other day they made
a billion year mistake. Now if I sat around talking a
week in three days and made a mistake, or even six months or ten years
or a hundred years or a thousand years we're talking, they made
a billion-year mistake. I say they made a three-billion-year
mistake. The whole thing's a mistake. I'm telling you the truth. And it's not without saying,
you know, I could give you some things to read if necessary.
There was a so-called researcher who did a study and he claimed
to have come up with a gene that positively proved that homosexuality
was a biological thing. It was on the front page, headline
news of every newspaper in this country. gay gene found. Therefore, they
can't help it. They're born that way. About a month later, it was totally
refuted by science itself, by other This fellow was a homosexual
whose so-called lover died of AIDS, and he said, I'm going
to prove it. And he did. He made it up. And they refuted
it. They absolutely disproved it. Even his colleagues did. You
know where that little article was found? About the fourth page
back, a two-by-four-inch column. and hold the truth in unrighteousness."
Life on Mars. You know that there's life on
Mars? Do you know that they haven't concluded that there's life on
Mars? No, they haven't concluded that, people. That was headline
news across every major paper in this world, wasn't it? In small print, if you read the
small print, it says, that it could possibly mean life
on Mars. They found little slender tubes
on a rock that looked like mud-dobber holes or something. And they
think, and they're going to further study it to see, where's the
further study? Well, ten billion dollars later
saying, they're still studying. Give it to me. I say it for $5.50. Save the taxpayers a lot of money.
Hold the truth in unrighteousness. Cloning! Do I need to go on? What's the purpose of this message,
preacher? Well, it's not to refute modern science. I do want to
bolster your faith in what this book says, though. And I want
to warn you, don't believe anything you read except this. Don't believe anybody you hear except the Lord Jesus Christ
and those that are just repeating what he said. Do you hear me,
Jennifer? I don't think you do believe
these fools. You've got too much sense. Don't
believe anything. I don't care what your science
teacher says, Brendan. He's reading from a textbook
written by fellows who are paid lots of money to write those
things. The disciples, see this was written
by men who had stood nothing to gain, had nothing to gain
from what they said. As a matter of fact, they lost
their lives for saying it. This wasn't a money thing. You
can believe somebody's not in it for the money. You know what? David said, all men are liars.
He said, let God be true in every man of what? money and through all. And faith come with my hearing.
You see, there's so many things you read may trouble you. I admit,
I see something. Also. It makes me stop and think,
well, really? You know, when you read it, you
say it's when you think, well, I couldn't say that wasn't true. They wouldn't say it if it wasn't
my truth, because it wouldn't sell. It wouldn't sell papers. Do you understand that? It wouldn't sell papers. The
truth and faith cometh by hearing,
hearing by the Word of God. And I started this message out
by saying the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy.
Christ said, now turn over to Genesis 6 with me, OK? Genesis,
yeah, chapter 6. Our Lord said, and give me just
a few more minutes, all right? Genesis chapter 6. Our Lord said,
now, heaven and earth are going to
pass away, and my words won't pass. And you see, everything spans
your fall. according to Genesis 1. Young
people, the whole Bible stands or falls according to Genesis
1, 1, 2, and 3. Creation. If there's no creator,
then none of this is true. Jesus Christ is a fake. The second
coming of Christ, etc. of God to face ridiculous if
evolution. All this is nonsense. You know you know this. We read the head headline news
CNN headline news news. You know that God said thousands
and thousands of years ago is nothing new. Well, I can read 1997 from Genesis
6. Let's look at it together, OK?
Remember our Lord said, as in the days of Noah? It's nearly
the year 2000. Man, we're making, man is headed
toward godhood. Man is headed toward deity. He's
going to just, he's, technology's going to really take us places.
And he's headed toward deity, all right. Genesis chapter six. It came
to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and
daughters were born under them. At the sons of God, and this
is talking about, you remember our story, our study in Genesis
on the sons of Seth. Seth was a devout believer and
his sons were, were believers or at least were devoted God-fearing
people. This is who this is talking about.
Sons of Seth, sons of God, saw the daughters of men that they
were fair, and they took them wives of all which they chose."
All right? This is where they took wives
of these unbelievers. And it says, "...of all which
they chose." It means polygamy has begun. Multiple wives. This is where it started. And thus wickedness and debauchery
abounded with this practice, with this wicked practice of
polygamy religion. Out there in Utah, a fellow named,
what was his name? Brigham Young. Yeah, a fellow
out there started a real mess by doing the same thing. And on and on it goes. And a
population explosion occurred here in Genesis chapter 6. Sin
abounded and the population abounded because of this evil practice.
Verse 3, the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with
man, and he is also his flesh, yet his days shall be a hundred
and twenty years. The Lord said, My spirit shall
not strive with man, and I give him a hundred and
twenty more years. That was in the building of the
ark. Our generation is growing by leaps and bounds. They're
saying that by the year 2000 the population will have doubled
in nearly a decade. Doubling and tripling. Why? Anybody ready to guess? Although the advent of marriage
falling and the advent of living together and fornication is accepted
practice and illegitimate children will be more right and left,
right and left, right and left, right and left. What is it they're doing now?
They're paying somebody to have a surrogate mother and all that
stuff is just exploding. So is wickedness with it. The Lord said, My spirit will
not always strive with man. There's a sense in which the
conscience of every man is the spirit of God, and it strives
with him. Every man has a conscience. He's
without excuse. Every young person has a conscience.
Whenever they do something, they know whether it's right or wrong.
I mean, they know whether it's right or wrong. That's where
guilt comes in. Psychologists now try to get this out of us.
Right, Rick? Psychologists trying to keep
us. They say that's the whole problem. I say the problem is
they don't listen to their conscience. See, this is the law of God written
on the heart of every man, so that they're without excuse. And God says, my spirit won't
always strive with man. And it seems to me now that he's
gone, that men don't have consciences anymore. 120 years, that's the
time it took Noah to build the ark. Lord said it would be 120
more years, plus seven days. Seven days. 120 years and seven
days. Now, I don't know what that means. Spiritually speaking. Could be
the Lord spent 120 years in planning the covenant before creation. 120 years in purposing the covenant
of salvation in any way seven days before he shuts the door
of the Ark. Seven days? Days is a thousand
years. A thousand years is a day. Well, that could be. I don't
know. But look at verse 4. It says, There were giants in
the earth in those days. Also after that, the sons of
God came in under the daughters of men. They bare children to
them. They became mighty men of old, men of renown, giants.
Listen to John Gill, listen to what he says about this verse.
Listen, about these giants, these mighty men. He said, these were
giants, they were mighty men of a tallness and strength and
power and dominion and tyranny and oppression. Men of renown,
or that is, of name. Their names were often made mention
of because of their bigness, because of their wickedness.
They were much talked of and extolled for their exploits,
their wicked exploits. They were famous men, rather
infamous men. They got a name in the world,
not for their goodness or for their greatness, but because
of their wickedness. They got a name. They were men of renown. Who does that sound like to you? Big men, renowned for their wickedness
and evil. and a name for them. Dennis Rodman. Exactly, Rick. You're listening. Even our president entertains
that viper. Ain't nothing changed. As in
the days of Noah. 1997. Big men, mighty men, men of renown. Read on. Verse 5, God saw that
the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. God saw, it says. God saw. God saw. God sees. God sees. Men say, though, He
doesn't see. Oh, yes, He sees. Why didn't
they do something? Oh, he will, soon enough. He sees. You remember that verse over
in Ecclesiastes, Steve? You and I looked at it together,
where it says, Because sentence against an evil work is not sparingly
executed, therefore the hearts of the sons of men is fully set
to do evil. Got away with that. Where's God? And they're even shaking their
fists as they're saying all kinds of things, mocking him, mocking
him, mocking him, putting his little picture of a little bald-headed
male with long hair sitting on a cloud in the cartoon, you know,
God, and just mocking him, mocking him, mocking him. He ain't no
God or he'd have done something by now. Where's the promise of his coming? Do you see the sky? Do you see the red sky, folks?
Do you see this as in the days of Noah? God saw. There was a popular song a couple
of years ago, God is watching us from a distance. What a popular song. What a pretty
song. Oh, everybody loves to sing that song. God is watching
us from a distance. He said, Am I not a God at hand? In other words, he's in our hand. That song ought to strike fear
in men's hearts. God is watching us. Listen to
John Gill again. Listen to him again. The universal wickedness of man
at this time, the flood of wickedness, before the deluge of waters came,
it was the cause of it. God saw, not only by his omniscience
or that he know all things, but he sees everything and he took
notice of this in his providence. And he was displeased with it,
and he was determined in his mind to show his resentment of
it, and let men see that he observed it. He sees and he disproves
it, and he's going to punish them for it. And he sent a flood
and wiped his planet out. And there's irrefutable evidence
to that fact. Well, men suppress the truth
now. Over in Isaiah chapter 1, God
says, why should you be stricken? You just revolt more and more. God keeps sending things on this
planet in our day. Hurricane after hurricane just
wiping men's sandcastles away. Wiping men's sandcastles away.
Hurricane after tornadoes and earthquakes swallowing up people.
Droughts and AIDS and judgments of God. This is their will and their
anger now. Will and their anger. God sees. Verse 6, "...and repented
the Lord, he made man on the earth, and grieved him at his
heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created."
Both man and beast and creeping things and fowls there. I will
destroy man. I will destroy man. If God did
just what he said he was going to do, he did it. And men call it, you know, they
say there was an ice age. And then there's a big thaw. And that's what killed the dinosaurs,
the big thaw. In other words, water drowned
them out, right? That's what I say. That's exactly
what I believe. I don't believe there was an
ice age. But I believe water did it. I sure did. Hold the truth in unrighteousness.
God said, I'm going to do it. And God said, He's going to do
it again. He's going to do it again, and that right soon. And
look at verse 8. Perhaps I took too long to get
to that. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. forgiveness of sin, unbelief,
the root of all sin, unbelief, no God. That's the root of it
all. Noah found grace. Where did he
find that grace? Where was it? Where was all the
grace of God? Where was all the salvation of
God? All the mercy of God was found in one place, and Noah
found it, and that's where you found Noah when that deluge came. Where was it? God said, build an ark, Noah. Build an ark, Noah. And he did,
and it took him 120 years. And with every pound of his hammer,
he kept saying, he's coming. Noah, the scripture says, is
a preacher. What did he preach? Somebody's coming. Judgment's
coming. They're getting the ark. They're
getting the ark. Look at the sky. It's getting
darker. the art. Christ is the art. Time is short. Redeem the time. Get in the art. Get in the art. Get in the art. You see the time? Get in the art. Do we see the
time? Huh? Everybody. Young people. Christ said, He's at the door. As in the days of Noah. 1997. It's here. It's here. It's
here. He's here. It's an ark for sinners. Run
to it. Ain't nobody else. Why, Noah,
there's only seven people believe what you believe. They settled
up and were saved. And seven people, eight, with
Noah in the ark. Get in the ark. Come to Christ.
What does that mean? I don't know. Do it. Do it. All right, let's stand. Our Lord, let us believe you
in spite of everything, anything that's being said and being done. Don't let us be those who fall
for these strong delusions that you yourself have sent to those
who love not the truth, who receive not the love of the truth, but
hold the truth in unrighteousness. But, O Lord, let us buy the truth
and sell it not. Build us up in this ark, this
faith, this most holy faith. Build up our faith. Confirm our
faith. Reassure our faith that Christ
is and that we are his. And let us come to him daily. To whom? Let us save ourselves from this
untoward generation, this generation that's headed the way that seems
right, but it's destruction. O Lord, save us. Save us and
our children. Save our children. Impress our
children of the necessity, the urgency of coming to Christ.
O Lord, please, for your glory, for your namesake, and all that
we This evening we long to just
give you the glory and verify or say that we believe you are
true and every man is a liar. We believe. We believe. Help our unbelief. And it's in
Christ's name that we're met together. Amen.
