Revelation chapter 21, and I'd
like to look I thought about reading this
chapter, 21 verses 9 through 27, but I'll leave that to you
to read it in preparation for the lessons. And we'll go through
here. I'd like to look at verse 9 tonight
in preparation for our study of this wonderful chapter that
shares with us a view of ourselves. It's the view of the church.
And as we read this and as we study this passage, I think the
Lord's sheep will see something if the Lord is pleased. Now I'm
reminded of the Syrophoenician woman. Even the dogs get the
crumbs. And if Lord, if you just share
the crumbs, and she was happy to get that. She was happy to
get the crumbs. She just recognized that he was
sovereign and anything he gave her was by grace and grace alone,
and she didn't deserve it. So as we go through any book,
but as we go through this chapter, I'm reminded of that. If you
just give us some crumbs, we'll be blessed. And in this passage
of scripture, As through all the book of Revelation, and I
want to side trail just a minute, in a discussion I had, particularly
over the term millennium, I said, Jesus never taught on it, Paul
never taught on it, Peter never taught on it, Jude never taught
on it, you won't find anything about it in the New Testament
from Matthew to Jude. So I think that's a pretty good
indication that when we get to this book, we want to be careful
when we start a whole new doctrine. And I would like to look at this
chapter, I believe, as it was intended to be looked at, and
that is metaphorically or allegorically. That when we look at the size
of the city, it's metaphorically, it's allegorically. We're looking
at words that describe something else. And the Lord has done this
for us several other times when he interpreted even the parables. A sower went forth to sow, and
he interpreted that this means that. And we're not going to
be looking for a sower of grain, but the sower went and he sowed
the word. And then it goes through and
describes it, and the field is the world, and it goes on and
describes it. If we just keep that in mind, we'd have a much
better view of the book of Revelation, and in particular, this chapter
as we look at the church. A metaphor is a concept of understanding
one thing in terms of another. And it's a figure of speech.
We use it all the time. It's something that we're common
with. It's an example, her eyes were
glistening jewels. Well, we know that they're not
jewels, but there's a beauty about them that reminds us of
that. So when we look at the foundations of the city, when
we look at the size of the city, when we look at the inhabitants
of the city, this is more than just words, Jasper, and that
sort of thing. It has some meaning. Now, I have
to, I found these on the internet and it's a dictionary, a bible
dictionary written by John Brown and this particular edition is
1818. And he goes through all of these
stones that are used and says, this one is used in Revelation
chapter 21. This one is used in Revelation chapter 21. Now
he doesn't always give what it means, but I'm going to glean
some stuff from this. An 1818 dictionary written by
a sovereign grace preacher in England. I have grown to enjoy
much of his writings So we're going to glean from this came
from England took 40 days to get here and nights Okay verse 9 And there came unto
me one of the seven angels, which had seven vials full of the seven
last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will
show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. Now, I don't know about
you, but that's of interest to me. I want to see this. I want to see this sight. Because
as we read this, Jesus Christ, who this whole book is about,
it's the revelation of Jesus Christ, we're going to be permitted
to stand up against, in front of a mirror, spiritually speaking,
and see all of the great things that God has done for us. We're
going to be able to see that. Now, we may not see some things.
Someone told me the other day, why you have wavy hair? And I
said, I've never seen it. It's there, but I've never seen
it. It's just not something that I have the capabilities of seeing.
And there might be some things, many things through here, that
we don't have the capabilities of seeing. But I want to say
this. We know what it doesn't say. If it doesn't bring glory
to God, doesn't bring glory to Christ, then we want to stay
away from that. We want to see things that bring
glory to Christ. And if we can't see it, then
it doesn't mean that it doesn't say that. It just means we haven't
seen it. We know what it doesn't say. We may not know what it
says, but we do know what it doesn't say, if it does that. Now, this verse 19 describes
the attributes, from verse 19 on, describes the attributes
and characteristics of the Savior as they're given to the saints.
We will see that it is no wonder that none shall be lost. As I
read down through here, I just found out again, it is no wonder
that none shall be lost. If all of them have this, If
all of them are given this by grace, then it's no wonder that
we read the Lord Jesus Christ saying, none of them shall be
lost. Look what they have. Look what they've been given.
Look what they are. Look what they have. And it also
shares with us that, as we read through here, that none of the
people that this represents will depend on their own righteousness.
Because everything is given by the Lord. We will not depend
on our own righteousness, and then we can say, Thank God, none
shall be lost. He has complete and absolute
control over everyone that he saves. Now, the angel, the messenger
of God, mentions to John, Come hither. I will show thee the
bride, the Lamb's wife. And I want to just spend a little
bit of time on what it means by that word show. We use the
words S-H-O-W, the English translated S-H-E-W. I'd like to look a little bit
about the relationship between the bride and the lamb and what
kind of relationship that is and then look at that word lamb
as it's found in this verse of scripture because it's going
to mean a lot to us as we go on through the remainder of this
chapter. There's about 19 verses of description
here together that describes this city, this holy city, New
Jerusalem coming down out of heaven as we find in other places
that it's described. Now this word, show, as it's
mentioned here in verse 9, it's used a number of other places
in the New Testament, and it means to show, to expose to the
eyes. And it means to see something. And I'd like to look at a couple
of verses that share with us this word as it means. And that's
what this angel, this messenger of God, wanted to do to John.
There's something to see here. With your spiritual eyes, see
the spiritual church. Now we know when the Lord was
on the earth that there was people that were in the physical body.
that didn't know a thing about Christ. And it's the same today. But the spiritual body, the relationship
that the church, the spiritual relationship that we have, that's
the ones that will never be lost and that's the ones that will
never attribute any of their righteousness to this word. We
don't even give one shingle to this house, this building.
We don't give one stone to the wall. We have nothing to give,
but He takes care of it all. Now, turn with me, if you would,
to Matthew chapter 16. Matthew 16 and verse 21. As we look at this word, show,
it's to expose to the eyes. Open up. Make known to the eyes. And it is used a number of times
in the scripture, not just here alone in the book of Revelation,
but it's used here and a number of times it's used. And I just
want to look up four different places that we find this word
to help us see some of the insights to this verse. Now, if the Lord
didn't share with us anything spiritual, reading it is still
a blessing. And then there might be a time
when down the road we're ruminating on it and praying. That's what
that means. So it's good to read it. Matthew
16 verse 21, From that time forth began Jesus to show unto his
disciples. Now that's the same word. He's
going to show them something. He is going to open to their
eyes, to expose to them their knowledge. He wants them to know
something. Now, when he first brings this
up, we find that his disciples didn't understand what he's talking
about. There's even discussions about this, but this is what
he showed them. How that he must go unto Jerusalem. It was not
a surprise for the Lord Jesus to be arrested in Jerusalem.
It wasn't a surprise to be betrayed in Jerusalem. It wasn't a surprise
to be found guilty by the Jews or by Pilate. He says here to
show unto his disciples, there are some things I want, I need
to show you. I need to expose them to you,
to let you look upon them, to think about them. And only by
revelation, and I've said this in the past, I don't find that
the Lord ever was reprimanding His people, His disciples, for
the lack of faith. He's demonstrating to us, unless
I show you, you'll never see it. You'll never have this knowledge
unless I reveal it to you. And He may have used, oh, slow
of heart to believe, that's us. Unbelievers, Hit it right on
the nail, just like that preacher was told he had a church full
of sinners. Yes, you got that right. Well, the Lord is sharing
with us. Yes, you got this right. And
the church says, you got it right. I'm slow to learn. I don't have
a heart to understand unless you show me. And if you do show
me, I'll see you and I'll see the church. Give me some crumbs
from the table. Just some crumbs. Alright, he
began to show them how he must go to Jerusalem, suffer many
things of the elders, cheat priests and scribes, and be killed. He wanted them to know. Now some
of them, just because of their inability and his ability to
hide it from him, we're surprised. But he shared with them, and
be killed and raised again the third day. Now, they were ignorant
of these things, they didn't comprehend these things until
afterwards, but he showed them to him. He let them know what
was going to happen. He was faithful to them, but
he is also showing to us that unless he opens our eyes, we'll
be ignorant of spiritual things. All right, turn with me if you
went to the book of John, John chapter 20. The same word is
used here in John chapter 20, the word show, and it has to
do with exposing to the eyes, to show, to open up. And John
chapter 20, the Lord Jesus did something after the crucifixion.
He showed his body. He let his disciples see. Now, last Sunday, when Andrew
came in, to my office. I was visiting with him. He gave
me a hug and I said, I've got to see your scar. And I couldn't believe it. It
wasn't a scar. They went through the navel.
He didn't have it. But I wanted to see it. Well,
the Lord Jesus knew the desires of the disciples and he's going
to show them. something John chapter 20 verse
20 it says here and when he has so said He showed unto them his
hands and his side Then were the disciples glad when they
saw the Lord He showed them his hands and his side now. What
did it take for him to show his side? He did an Andrew He let them
see what had transpired. He showed him his hands, what
had happened. He had nails driven through here. And it tells us that they were
glad. Alright, turn with me to Acts chapter 10. Acts chapter
10. Now this has to do with the Apostle
Peter. Remember the Apostle Peter, he was really, he was a recovering
Pharisee. In fact, He had some issues. The Lord took care of him. He
wouldn't preach the gospel to a Gentile. And Paul had to reprimand
him a little bit. He says, you know, when there's
Gentiles around and no Jews, you'll go over here. But if there's
a Jew shows up, you go over here. And he brought it to his attention,
the problem that he had. We're just recovering Pharisees.
We have nothing to boast about, but we do. Now notice here in
Acts chapter 10 verse 28, this is the word show again. Peter
had been shown a wonderful thing. She came down from heaven filled
with all manner of creeping things. Well, there's lamb, ram, sheep,
and mutton in there. All kinds of creeping things.
And Jesus told him, rise, kill any. Oh, no way. No way. No way. I'm not going to do it.
Three times he did that. Now, notice here, Acts chapter
10, verse 28. And this is the word that that
special messenger of God told John, I'm going to show you The
Lamb's Wife. And then the description is given
to us. John got to write about it. Acts chapter 10, verse 28,
it says, And he said unto them, Ye know
how that it was an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep
company, or come into one another's nation. But God hath showed me
that I should not call any man common or unclean. Now that's
a real spiritual lesson by some physical meat. pork, tortoise,
lobster, clams, whatever was on there was all illegal for
the Jews to eat. And the Lord commanded him to
eat and he wouldn't do it. But he learned this lesson. I
saw my attitude towards the Gentiles. He showed him, as it says there
in Acts chapter 10 verse 28, He showed, God showed, God has
showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. Gentiles,
Jews, equality before the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. And
equality in the gospel. And he learned this. He showed
me this. Well, it was quite an illustration
that he went through. Quite a time he went through
to do this, but he saw the spiritual about this. God showed him through
that, the spiritual. I'm going to enjoy fellowship
with every believer, and not just the Jews. All right? And
then, would you turn with me to Hebrews? Hebrews chapter 8.
Once again, here in the book of Hebrews, I've just read through
the book of Exodus for the first time. Not in my life, but I was
paying attention this time. You know how you read sometimes,
you're just reading words? Because I've got to get to the end of
the chapter. Well, I was reading through there and something struck
me. And here it is in the book of Hebrews chapter 8. I read
through it. Could you make the tabernacle
by the instructions that are given there? No way. There's not enough information.
But you know what? Moses was shown the pattern in
the mount. And he knew what it was supposed
to look like. And that's just a wonderful statement about our
Lord. He knew ahead of time. What's
the church supposed to look like? He had a pattern. Alright, Hebrews. Let me get over here. Hebrews
chapter 8. I used to think that someday
I'd break myself of the habit of talking before I got there,
but it's not going to happen. It's just the way it is. Hebrews
8, verse 5, who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly
things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make
the tabernacle. For see, saith he, that thou
make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in
the mount. Now he knew what it was supposed
to look like. He got a picture before. He got
to see beforehand. So when he got down here and
the description is laid out, and you and I, and I don't think
even in the Hebrew, they could sit down and say, well, here's
what we're going to do. There's just so much that we
don't understand about it. But Moses had seen the pattern. He'd been shown the pattern in
the mount. And it goes on. Wonderful statement
here made in the book of Hebrews as it goes on. But this is what
Moses got to see, and when that tabernacle was finished, he was
able to say, this is what it looked like. and a whole bunch
of people putting it together by the instructions of Moses
and some wise people that God had endued with great wisdom
on how to do things. But that's this word showed.
And here is this angel, this special messenger of God, coming
to John and saying, I want to show you something. Want to show
you I want your eyes to see this now. Let's go on it says come
hither I will show thee the bride Now there's a wonderful relationship
between the bride and The lamb, it's the bride the lamb's wife
the bride of Christ What's this like What's this relationship
like? Well, I have three verses I'd
like to read that share with me, and I think we can see this,
it shares with us this special relationship. And as we go down
through these metaphors, this allegory about Christ and His
church, and the beautiful church, and we get to stand in front
of the mirror and see ourselves as Christ sees us. And all of
this fine. We're perfect before Him. There's
no sin. He doesn't see any sin. There's
perfect. Everything is four square, a cube to its perfection. And
that's the church. And it has a wonderful foundation. And it has a wonderful gates,
and wonderful strength, and wonderful beauty, and a wonderful light,
and a wonderful tabernacle, and a wonderful God. This whole beautiful
setting is a description of God's people, and it is no wonder we
can believe with all our heart, He shall lose none of them. Because of this beautiful statement
He makes about the church, and we'll agree with Him, None of
our righteousness is here. Thank God He strips us of our
righteousness and clothes us with His righteousness and we're
not going around saying, man, I put that door in. I put that
window up there. I put that block there. No, we
just say, look at what God did for us. Here it is. All right. Turn with me, if you would, to
1 John. To know. To become thoroughly
acquainted with. To know thoroughly. To know accurately
and to know well. And this is the verse. Please
forgive me. Would you read with me 1 Corinthians
13, 12 first? 1 Corinthians 13, 12. This is that relationship that
we're going to read about here in the book of Revelation. And
it's a relationship found through the scriptures. Here it is brought
out so plainly. 1 Corinthians chapter 13 and
verse 12. We've heard this read recently. We've read it recently. Let's
look at this verse again. For now we see through a glass
darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then
shall I know even as also I am known. Now think about that for
a moment. This is that Lamb, Lamb's wife
relationship. I shall know as I am known. There's going to be, is this
a poor choice, an expansion of our mind. There's going to be
a relationship. God is going to give us a mind
to see Him. When we read down through this
passage of scripture in Revelation chapter 21, He is giving us,
and it is not something that we're going to notice by our
natural mind because the natural mind does not see spiritual things. If we're going to see anything
here that's a real blessing, we're going to have to have some
spiritual insight. The Holy Spirit is going to have
to show us spiritually some things about it. And if we're ever allowed
to see even some of the crumbs of this, we will say, oh my Lord. the relationship you've established. Now, when I was growing up, and
I was taught some of this, and it was in my own head, I was
lost, I didn't know a thing about the gospel, and here they are
teaching us. The bride and groom relationship,
the husband-wife relationship when it comes to Christ and His
church, was always kept in a Western venue. It was always talked about
from a Western standpoint. From an Eastern standpoint, they
didn't have all the ceremony. There wasn't all the ceremony.
There wasn't all this, now there was a dowry and stuff like that,
but if you read with regard to Isaac and his wife, they went
into a tent and were married. And that was the ceremony. That
was over. Now it hasn't been that long
ago in the United States, or it was prior to the United States,
but in America, that a couple could step over a broom and they
were married. Now they did have someone officiate
afterwards, but they had their family there, and it was, we
have determined that we're going to be husband and wife, and they
stepped over a broom, and they were husband and wife, and someone
came along later and gave them a certificate. And may have said
some words, but that was just so simple. Now that's this relationship. It is knowing as we are known. Now I can't explain that to you. But I know God knows me. And
in this special time when we see the Lord, we shall know Him
as we are known. We will know Him like we've never
known Him. We will see Him as we've never
seen Him. And by the way, it's going to
be greater. than it is. And those who know Him now, oh,
what a joy it is to know Him. But we look through a glass darkly.
We have not comprehended the full glory of the Lord. We have
not comprehended the full benefits of the cross. We have not comprehended
what, in fact, what sin is to its totality. But then we shall
know Him. And that's the word to become
thoroughly acquainted with. We're going to get to see His
wavy hair. There in the book of Revelation
chapter 1 it describes Him. Eye. Eye is a flame of fire. Hair like wool. Fetus brass goes
down through. We're going to see Him as He
is. We shall know Him as we are known. Now that's how much we will know.
How much does He know? That's how much we will know.
In this relationship We have the beginning. We're espoused.
And those who've gone on before, they know Him as they are known.
All right, look with me now over in 1 John chapter 3. First John
chapter 3. This is that relationship with
the bride. The bride and the groom. The bride and Christ.
The bride and the Lamb. This is that relationship. We
shall know Him as we are known. Now look here in First John.
First John chapter 3. As we go down through here and
look at this city, we look at the description, we want to keep
in mind we're looking at what we are when we know as we are
known. Those gates, those foundations,
those stones, the preciousness of them, what they represent,
the height, the width and the depth of it, the glory of it,
the God of it. This is, we're looking at how
God looks at us, at the church. Alright, 1 John chapter 3. 1
John chapter 3. And verse 2, verse John chapter
3 and verse 2. Beloved, now are we the sons
of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be. But we know
that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall
see him as he is. This relationship between the
Bride and the Lamb is going to be such an enlightenment. We shall be like Him, for we
shall see Him as He is. It will be a revelation. It will be an opening up. It will be a sight. We will have
comprehension about those nail prints and that print in his
side like we've never seen it before. We will see his sovereignty
like we've never seen it before. I believe it. I like to be able
to say I believe with every fiber of my being until something bad
happens. Do you know what I'm talking about? Then we say, oh
boy, I didn't know that was part of it. Well, then we won't question
it. We shall see His righteousness like we've never seen it. We'll
see His holiness like we've never seen it. That's this relationship. We will be before Him as a wife
before her husband. And He shall be before us as
a husband is before his wife. One other verse I'd like to look
at on this subject, and that's found in the book of Romans chapter
8. Romans chapter 8, this relationship between Christ and the Church,
between the Bride and the Lamb, and we're privileged here to
get a glimpse, spiritually speaking, get a glimpse, metaphorically
speaking, allegorically speaking, getting a glimpse of the Church,
and this Church has the characteristics and attributes
of the Savior. They've been imparted to the
church. They've been given to the church,
to us. We have special relationship
with the Father and with the Son. In the book of Romans, Romans
chapter 8, verse 18, Let's read this verse, Romans chapter 8
and verse 18. For I reckon that the sufferings
of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the
glory which shall be revealed in us. Now I wish I knew what
that was all about. His glory revealed in us. Now, that's something to ruminate
on. His glory that shall be revealed
in us. Now, there's no question among
God's people, He is all-glorious. And this relationship has given
the position to the church that that glory is going to be revealed
in us. Now, it starts in regeneration. That glory has been revealed
to us, the glory of God. I was talking to Mike the other
day that the true church, and I hate to have to use that term,
true believers, I hate to have to use that term, the real believers,
I hate to have to use that term, but that group, the church, the
body of Christ, are the only ones that know the necessity
of the new birth. Everyone else, they're working
for it. This group, that no man can number, they alone know the
necessity of the new birth. We must have that glory revealed
in us, and then it's going to be revealed in us. All right. So, Revelation chapter 21, verse
9, Come hither, I'll show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. Now,
it doesn't take very much for us to understand who the Lamb
is in this passage. John was about the only one that
was permitted to use this word in the writing of the New Testament.
God is sovereign over His words, too. John, you're going to write
about the lamb, this particular lamb. In the book of John, it
mentions, feed my sheep, feed my lambs. That's the same word.
That's the only other time in the New Testament that this particular
word is used except in the book of Revelation. And in the book
of Revelation it is used 27 times. And one time it is used to speak
of an imposter. Now there are imposters about
this lamb. Jesus spoke of them. There's
going to be a time coming, and it was during his time, it's
100 years afterwards, 200 years afterwards, 1,000 years afterwards,
2,000 years afterwards, saying, there's going to be those who
say, I'm the Christ. The imposter. Well, they can't
be an imposter unless they call themselves, metaphorically, allegorically,
the Lamb. I have the capabilities of granting
to you life. And it goes on all around us. The church alone understands
that there's only one that can grant that, and that is the Lord
Jesus Christ. Would you turn with me to Revelation
chapter 5? Revelation chapter 5. And I just
want to read three or four verses here in the book of Revelation
that shares with us truly who this Lamb is. No questions. There's no questions about this.
Book of Revelations mentioned 26 times, and each of them, I
think every one of them except that one time, uses a capital
L-A-M-B. The translator says, well, let's
indicate who this is. And it appears that they were
quite accurate on this point. All right, Revelation 5. Verse
12, Revelation 5, verse 12 it says, saying with a loud voice,
worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and
wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. Now,
there he is. This is the Savior. This is the
Savior. He is the groom. He is the husband. He is the
wife's husband. Alright? Let's look at another
verse here. Chapter 6 and verse 1. Let's look at that. And I
saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as
it were, the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying,
Come and see. I saw the Lamb open one of the
seals. Now I'm thankful. I cannot be thankful enough that
it is the Lord that opens up the Word to His people. It is
like opening seals. Every time He shows us His Word,
it's like Him opening a seal. John was having a problem. There's no one to open the seals.
Don't worry about it. The Lion of the tribe of Judah
hath prevailed. And He's the one that opens the seals. He's
the one that lets us know what the Word has to say. And then
in chapter 7, verse 14, Chapter 7, verse 14, it says, And I said
unto him, Sir, thou knowest, and he said to me, These are
they which come out of great tribulation, and have washed
their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Here's
the blood of the Lamb. Now, I'm perfectly confident
that these that have come out of great tribulation are those
who have been born again. That's what this means. It's
not that we're going to go through some special kind of tribulation
We're not going to go through some purgatory the tribulation
he's talking about here is the new birth and it really Grates
on the flesh my goodness when he starts this process when we
hear the Word of God We are oh no reeled by it. And here is tribulation. We have God said, I'll strip
you. You don't think that that's a
tribulation? We have our righteousness and he strips us. We have our
concepts of God, he strips us. Don't you think it's great tribulation
when he says, I'm going to turn you from worshiping dumb idols
to serve the living God? This is great tribulation. And
they've washed What's it say? Revelation chapter 7 verse 14. It says there, "...and have washed
their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." It's
the blood of the Lamb that cleanses us from all sin. Alright, two
more. Chapter 13 verse 8. Chapter 13
verse 8. I'm going to show you. Come here, I'll show you the
bride, the Lamb's wife. And for 19 verses, the bulk of this is
what we get to see. This is what it is. John got
to see. And by the grace of God, he wrote
it down. And as we go through, we're standing
at a mirror and we're seeing the righteousness of Christ given
to the church, the glory of God given to the church, the blessings
of God given to the church. Revelation 13, verse 8. And all that dwell upon the earth
shall worship him whose names are not written in the book of
the life of the Lamb." Now those are those who are going to worship
the beast. And that's just going on right now. People are worshiping
the beast, the greatest wicked beast that has ever been in the
human race is natural will worship, works worship. That is a terrible
beast. That's a taskmaster. That's worse
than any taskmaster. Who's going to worship, continue
to worship, go out of this life worshiping free will, works religion? Those who are not written in
the book of life of the Lamb, slain from the foundation of
the world. They may be, but he's going to stop it. They may be,
but he's going to interpose. They may be, but he's going to
arrest them. And they'll not go out of this life worshiping
that beast. That is the terror. Talk about
having your back pawed to death. My dad was milking a cow one
time and that cow stepped on a cat, cat's tail, and that cat
clawed that cow. And before you know it, there
was a dancing meeting going on in there and dad was underneath
that cow and she came right down through there with her hoof.
Now he thought he's gonna be killed. He just saw those hooves. This is a terrible, terrible
taskmaster, this beast. You're under and he is he is
terrible Free will works religion self-righteousness is a terrible
taskmaster terrible beast. All right one of the verse chapter
22 in verse 3 chapter 22 in verse 3 and There shall be no more curse
on Revelation 22 verse 3, There
shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb
shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. The throne of
God and of the Lamb. This is just Christ. This is
the Lord Jesus. So as we go through these verses,
however long it takes, we may find out that we're going to
be through next Wednesday. We're going to see a few things
and go on. And it may be, Brother Duane, two years. I don't know. But as we go through
here, we're going to get to see by these eyes, hopefully by the
spiritual eyes, what he has declared here about the church. And it
is the attributes and characteristics of the Lord given to the church. And that's what John, and that's
what we get to see, is Him as the church. Alright, we're going
to stop there for tonight.
