Interesting as you look at the
Psalm before this, Psalm 90, it speaks of man withering under
the anger of God, God's wrath and God's judgment against sin.
And then you get to the 91st Psalm. And we see that man is
able to tread upon the lion and the adder. My, what a difference. And the difference is this, in
the 90th Psalm, we're presented as being an adder. and having
all the frailties of Adam after the sin. And so death awaits
us. And as we go through our years,
we live our years, they're going swiftly by. And one day we're
going to die. And God only remains faithful. So Psalm 90, it tells us of our
inabilities. It tells us of our frailties. It tells us of the brevity of
life. But then we get to Psalm 91. And in this Psalm, unlike Psalm
90, which presents the situation to us as we are in a hatom, but
in Psalm 91, It presents the situation as we are in our Lord
Jesus. And in the Lord Jesus, indeed,
we shall tread upon the lion and the adder, that is, the asp.
We're victorious through our Savior. So there's quite the
difference between Psalm 90 and Psalm 91. Now, this evening,
we're gonna consider the last three verses of Psalm 91 and
look at the promises to God's people. And I was thinking, trying
to think of a good way to introduce this message And I thought about
this. Let's say you were taking a walk
in this atmosphere. The virus, a lot of people are
walking, and that's a good thing. Of course, I do quite a bit of
walking myself. But let's say you're out walking,
and you looked over to the side of the path or the road that
you were walking, and you saw a treasure chest. That is, something
that you perceived was a treasure chest. It just looks valuable. And so out of curiosity, you
go over and you just raise up the lid. And in it, you see all
of these jewels. This is very valuable, very expensive,
very beautiful, very precious jewels. And being the honest
person that you are, you would think, well, I wonder who this
belongs to. And then you look and you see
that there's a name engraven inside this little treasure chest. And so you bend down and you
look, and lo and behold, it has your name on it. That'd be something,
wouldn't it? This is the property of your
name. Well, listen, as we get to the
end of Psalm 91, we're opening up a wonderful, magnificent treasure
chest. It's filled with eight very sparkling,
very rare, very beautiful, very expensive jewels. And if you're
a believer, If you're one of the children of God, if as it
begins, as this Psalm begins, if you're one of the one who
dwells in the secret place, if you're one of the ones who abides
under the shadow of the Almighty, then this wonderful treasure
chest of the promises of God, it has engraven on it your name. Because you see, these are indeed
the very promises of God in Christ Jesus to you. My, how valuable this is. Oh, the riches of the grace of
God that are ours in the Lord Jesus. And they're ours by right,
because we're in the family. We're in the family of God. We
have been adopted by the Lord. We are predestinated unto the
adoption of children by Jesus Christ unto Himself. And God
is pleased to say, you're the children of God. And who would be richer in spiritual
things, in everlasting blessings, who could ever be richer than
the people of the Lord. And so this is indeed a spiritual
goldmine. It's what Peter calls in second
Peter chapter one in verse four, exceeding great and precious
promises. And there's several of them.
And you can look at them again with me this evening. We looked
at them this morning in relation to the Lord Jesus, to the Messiah. But you see, we receive all of
these blessings by virtue of our union with Christ. And so
here they are, verse 14. The Lord says, I will deliver. And I'm just gonna kind of abbreviate
them here. I will deliver. He says in verse
14, I will set him on a high. Verse 15, I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble.
Once again, I will deliver him. I will honor him. And the last
verse, I will satisfy him with long life and I will manifest
unto him my salvation. Here are eight marvelous promises
of God. And I would say that the people
to whom these promises are made, they're rich toward God. Now, the reason that we're rich
toward God, We need to understand the reason we're rich toward
God is because our Lord Jesus, he became poor for us. 2 Corinthians 8 verse 9 says, for
you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he
was rich, this is before his incarnation, rich in his perfections,
rich in his attributes, rich in his glory. Though he was rich,
yet for your sakes, he became poor, born into a poor family. He went through life being a
poor man. He said the birds of the air
have their nests, the foxes have their holes, but guess what?
The son of man, he didn't even have a place to lay his head. Most of us, maybe all of us,
have burial plots. When he died, he didn't have
anywhere to be buried. And so a rich man said, you can
be buried in my tomb. But the Savior wouldn't need
it long. He was just gonna bury it for a few days. And then he
would vacate the premises. But our Lord was poor. He who
was rich, In every, he owned everything on this earth, he
owned nothing. He was rich in his deity. And
when he joined himself to our humanity, he became poor in this
sense, he became one who was subject to hunker, subject to
being thirsty, subject to being weak, subject to needing rest. And he became weak, he became
poor in that he was subjected to the temptations of Satan. He who is the master of all things,
he was rich as the great sovereign. He became poor in that he became
a servant. Can you imagine that? He's made
lower than the angels is what it says in Hebrews chapter two.
He became poor. In fact, such was his poverty
that he even took on him our sins, our spiritual indebtedness. He didn't owe anything to God. He is God Himself. But by imputation,
all the sins of His people were laid upon Him and then suddenly
He became in debt. You're talking about poor. And He paid the indebtedness
that He hadn't run up that indebtedness Himself. That's ours. He took
our indebtedness and He paid it. I'm telling you, he went
from the highest of the high to the lowest of the low. He
went all the way into the grave in death. That's poverty. Why did he do all of that? That
you, through his poverty, might be rich. And we're rich spiritually. We have the riches of his grace.
We have the riches of His mercies. Wow, we're the very children
of God. We're royal. We're a royal generation,
is what Peter says in 1 Peter chapter 2. We're a holy nation. We've been set apart by God for
Himself. And the Lord says of us that
we are His heritage. We are His inheritance. Oh, we're
rich indeed. You know, in this natural world,
there are some people who are born and raised in utter poverty. And though they realize their
predicament, yet because they've never known riches, they've never
known possessions, they don't really understand what they're
missing. Brother Allen has been to a couple
of countries in Africa and he has related to us what he saw
people, many people who live in just abject poverty. But they raised in poverty and
born into poverty and raised in poverty. But you take a person
who's born rich, and then they lose everything. They're born with what we say,
a silver spoon in their mouth, born into a family with great
advantages. but then their family loses everything
and then suddenly they go from being fabulously wealthy to abject
poverty, we can pity them because they have known a better condition
that they're in now. It's like that man who was standing
in the soup line during the Great Depression. Somebody walked up
to him and said, how you doing, buddy? He said, I've seen better
days. You see, that's us in Adam. We
were rich in unfallen Adam. We were rich. We had communion
with God, fellowship with God. Daily in Adam, our representative,
we walk with God, we talk with God, we enjoyed God, we delighted
in God, we were rich. And then he fell. And all of
a sudden we went from up here to down here. From being in a
high position to the lowest of the low. Yeah. We were rich, but we became poor. But our Lord Jesus, he came and
he bore our poverty. And having assumed our spiritual
indebtedness, he relieved us of that poverty, and he gives to us the riches
of his grace. Let's put it this way. There is no degree of wealth
that could ever compare to the riches of our Savior before his
incarnation. And likewise, there is no degree
of poverty, of being poor, to compare with the poverty of our
Lord Jesus in his incarnation. But he took our indebtedness
and he gave us his riches. And in this grace of salvation,
in this grace of forgiveness, in this grace of a restoration
of fellowship with God, We have these eight wonderful promises
in the text. But remember, remember this exquisite
treasure chest of divine promises. They don't belong to everyone, but they do belong to those people
who love the Lord They do belong to people who
know His name. They do belong to people who
indeed from the depths of their soul call upon the name of the
Lord. And I wonder as you read these
and you've read these with me, And you've seen the wonders of
the promises, the glories of the promises. Can you see your
name engraved on this? And I say by the grace of God,
I can see my name engraved here. And I can say by pure sovereign
grace, these wonderful blessings, these marvelous promises, in
the Lord Jesus, they're mine. They're mine. And it doesn't
matter my earthly condition, really that doesn't matter. Oh,
I like to feel good like everybody else. I don't enjoy being sick
like nobody else enjoys being sick. I like to have things kind
of go in my way, but regardless of my physical circumstances,
spiritually, I am blessed infinitely in Christ Jesus. And so are you,
if your name's on the treasure chest. And I tell you, our names
have been engraved in the Lamb's Book of Life before the world
began. We're His, and He is ours. Well, let me just touch on these. Let me touch on these. Number
one, this is what God says. He says to those who love Him,
He says to those who know His name, He says to those who call
upon Him, He says to us who are His people, number one, He says,
I'll deliver Him. I will deliver Him. That is,
I will rescue Him. I will save Him. Now, yes, the
Lord has commissioned angels to hold us up. We've already
talked about that. Look back at verses 11 and 12.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee. Say, preacher,
do you believe I have a guardian angel? You have many guardian
angels. You have many guardian angels.
And God has assigned your case to them. Take care of them. Watch over them. Wherever you
go, whether you're awake or asleep or whatever your earthly condition,
all of these angels, they've been given a command of God to
keep you in all your ways. That's what the Scripture says.
And it says they will bear you up in their hands, verse 12,
lest you dash your foot against a stone. Angels are carrying
you. Imagine that. Angels of God,
invisible to these eyes, but oh, not invisible to spiritual
perception. They bear us along. But while the Lord has commissioned
the angels to uphold us, Angels can't save us. Angels can't rescue us from sin.
Angels can't redeem us from the curse of the law. Angels cannot
save us from the penalty of divine justice. And angels can't save
us from death. And in our distress, knowing
what angels cannot do, I know they can do a lot, but they can't
save us, they can't deliver us. In our distress, we ask this
question earnestly, who then can save us? Who will deliver
my poor soul? And the Lord steps in and gives
this glorious declaration, I will. Isn't that wonderful? I will
deliver. What the angels can't do, oh,
they're willing to do if they could, but they have no ability
to do it. What they can't do, God Almighty
steps in and says, I will deliver, I'll save, I'll rescue. Doesn't the Bible say the salvation
of the righteous is of the Lord? It's of the Lord in its purpose.
It's of the Lord in its purchase. It's of the Lord and it's power.
It's of the Lord and it's preservation. It's of the Lord and it's perfection. The Lord says, I will deliver. Well, Lord, how will you deliver
me? How will you rescue me? How will you save me? By means
of an appointed substitute and sacrifice, by the cross death
of my son, So we read a few verses, 1 Thessalonians
1 10, we wait for his son, whom he has raised from the dead,
even Jesus. who delivered us from the wrath
to come. What do you know about that?
He delivered us from the wrath to come. No wrath to you if your
name's engraven on the treasure box, the treasure chest. If you're
one of the ones who love him as he's revealed in the word
of God. And like it says in the second verse, you put your trust
in him and you look to him, you call upon him. He's delivered you from wrath.
There's no judgment awaiting you. There's no wrath of God. There's therefore now no condemnation
to them who are in Christ Jesus. Colossians 1.13 says, who delivered
us from the power of darkness and have translated us into the
kingdom of his dear son. all the powers of darkness, they
had a hold on us. But one mightier than Satan himself
and all the principalities of darkness, he has come to rescue
us, he delivered us from the evil one. Colossians 1.10 says,
who deliver us from so great a death and he doth deliver and
we trust that he will yet deliver. Does that mean we're not gonna
die? Well, the scripture says, he that liveth and believeth
on me, Christ said, shall never die. But we will fall asleep
in Jesus, but we're not gonna die forever. We're not gonna
experience the second death. And then Romans 7, 24, oh, wretched
man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death. The people of God know the struggles
between the flesh and the spirit. We know how difficult it is and
there's a wrestling match going on between the new and the old,
the new man, the old man, all of us know something about that.
And you say, who's gonna deliver me? Who's gonna deliver me from
the body of this death? Jesus Christ, my Lord, he'll
deliver you. One day he's gonna take you home
to heaven. You'll be fully delivered from everything that has to do
with sin. So God says, I will deliver him.
I'll rescue him. I'll save him, second promise. I will set him on high. The person
who knows and loves the Lord's name will be set by God above
all danger and harm. I love the way this is worded
there in verse 14. I will set him on high because
he hath known my name. I will, I'll do it. Well, where
has he set us? He set us in Christ Jesus. He set us on high, beyond the
reach of the enemy. beyond any harm, beyond any danger
because we're seated in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus. He has, he set
him on high. Where are you? You're in Christ. Where is he? On his throne. Having
successfully redeemed his people and God's rewarded him. The child of God abides in Him. The child of God lodges in Him. You're in a fixed and settled
position. You're safe. This idea that you
can be saved today and lost sometime tomorrow, well, that's ludicrous. That's foolish. You see, God
put us in His Son before the world began. And his son has
answered every claim of justice against us. He's redeemed us. And he's gone back to glory and
we're still in him. Nobody or nothing can touch us
in Christ Jesus. That's why salvation's everlasting. Because it's God's salvation.
We're set on the high. in Christ Jesus. And then look
at this and here's the third one. Look at verse 15. He shall call upon me. And this
includes worship and it includes prayer. He shall call upon me
and I will answer him. I will answer him. The scripture says, the eyes
of the Lord are upon the righteous and his ears are open to our
cry. Psalm 4 verse 3 says, but know
that the Lord had set apart him that is godly for himself. The Lord will hear when I call
unto him. Oh, what a promise. When I call
upon my God, he will hear and he will answer. That may not
be the answer that I wanna hear. It may not be. Paul besought
the Lord, what, three times, right? Three times. Take that
thorn in the flesh away from him. Lord said, well, you just
keep that. No use even bringing the subject
up again. But God said, I'll tell you what,
my grace is sufficient for you. It's sufficient for you. He'll
answer. He'll hear and he'll answer. And by that expression, I will
answer, I think we're to understand, he will give his full attention
to our request. And then he will answer according
to his purpose and his wisdom. This doesn't mean that he will
immediately give you whatever it is that you ask for, but he
will answer. Well, will he answer me audibly? He answers through the word. He'll impress some word of truth
to your heart and lead you in the right way. Whenever you call on Him, He'll
answer. Have you ever spoken to somebody
and they're so mad at you or they're so upset with you, they
won't even answer you? That's pretty bad, isn't it?
Pretty bad for somebody to speak to you or for you to speak to
somebody and then they not answer you. And it'd be pretty bad for
somebody to speak to you and you not answer them too. Well, the Lord's not like that.
I don't care what you've done, no matter how much you've failed
Him, no matter how much you've stumbled
and messed up, you call on Him, He'll hear and He'll answer.
That's His word. Isn't that something? He'll hear you. The Lord's ears are always open
to your cries. And it's a marvelous thing, and
I'm always amazed at the person of God and the grandeur of God,
the immensity of God. When I call on Him, He hears
me as if there were nobody else in the entire universe who's
calling upon Him. And He gives me His full attention. And He does the same thing for
you, and you, and you, and you, and for all of His people. Isn't
that amazing? When you call out of need, out
of a broken heart, you pray about some matter, the Lord says, I'll
answer you. I'll answer. You got his word
on that. You're talking about a valuable treasure. This is one of immense worth. I couldn't call up the governor
and expect him to take my phone call. Well, I sent an email to
him and to his committee over the virus. ask him a couple of things and
made my request to him about reopening churches and I had
heard that they'd limit the ages of the people who could come
and maybe nobody could come who was over 65. I said, that means
even I can come. And I made these petitions. Do
you think I got an answer? I didn't get an answer. If I
called up the president of the United States, you think he'd
take my phone call? Who is this peanut preacher down
there in Ashland, Kentucky? I don't know him, I'm not gonna
take his phone call, but I can ask God anything. God Almighty,
the creator, the sustainer, I can call on him and I'm guaranteed
from his word, he'll hear and he'll answer. Isn't that amazing? Would to God we'd pray more.
Isn't that right? Ought to pray more. And then
watch this. Since our God is a God hearing
and a God answering God, look at the fourth one. I will be with him in trouble. A believer with troubles, yeah,
yeah. The Savior said, in this world
you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I've overcome
the world. But I thought about this, and
nobody likes troubles. But I'd rather have the troubles
and the Lord be with me than to have no troubles and
not have the presence of the Lord. Don't you agree? Now see,
there are a lot of people who say, hey, you mean I could make
a, here's a choice. You can have the Lord and troubles
or not have the Lord and no troubles. Thank you very much. Sorry, Lord.
I'd rather have the no troubles. That's what a lot of people say.
If they were honest, right? If they're honest. But the people
of God say, Lord, you send to me whatever you deem necessary. in your wisdom and out of your
infinite knowledge, I fully believe that you'll work all things together
for my good. You send them Lord, you send
the troubles. If troubles is what I need, then
you send the troubles just as long as you're with me. As long
as you're with me. And he says, I'll never leave
you. I'll never forsake you. I want his presence. Moses, he said to the Lord, he said,
if thy presence go not with me, if thy face go not with me, don't
carry us hence. I don't want to take another
step, Lord, unless you're with me. I don't wanna go anywhere without
the presence of the Lord, but if the Lord is with me by his
grace, I'll go anywhere he leads and do anything he calls me to
do if he's with me. Might lead me into Nebuchadnezzar's
fiery furnace, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. You better
worship my image, Nebuchadnezzar said, or I'll put you in the
furnace. Three fellas out here are not
bowing to your image, King. Bring them in here to me, he
said. They brought Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into the
presence of Nebuchadnezzar. He said, you bow before my image
or you're going to burn. They said, well, the Lord will
deliver us and if he isn't going to deliver us, that's okay, but
we're still not going to worship your image. Oh, he was mad. Oh boy. He was
upset. He said, make that furnace seven
times hotter. And they cranked it up. He said, throw these men in there.
Threw them in with all their clothes on, even had their hats
on. Threw them in and the guys who threw them in, that fire
was so hot it killed them. He said, I am finished with those
guys. Somebody said, oh, King, you
better look in that furnace. He said, oh, that's hot. He looked
in, he said, there's three of them, wasn't it? There's three
of them I threw in there. He said, yeah, King, you're right,
there's three of them. He said, I see a fourth one in there.
I believe it's the Son of God. I said, what is it, the Son of
God? He said, Cut the furnace off. I don't know how they did
it, but got them three out. Why? It didn't even singe one
hair of their head. In fact, man, they even smelled
like they'd been near a fire. They wouldn't even smell the
smoke on them. The Lord was with them. And he may put you through a
furnace, And he does, he has different furnaces for different,
for his different people. But they're not gonna consume
you. No, I'm thankful the Lord has
given his angels a charge, a command concerning us to keep us in all
our ways. But at all times, he also assures
us of his presence. And maybe sometimes such is the
severity of the danger that the Lord says to his angels, this
is too great a work for you. Step aside. Step aside. I'll be with him. I'll be with her. I'll carry
her through. That's the promise of God to
you and to me. David said, yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. Why, David,
for thou art with me. His presence makes all the difference
in the world. Isn't that right? His presence,
to know that he's with me. That's why he says in Isaiah
43 verse two, when you pass through the waters, I'll be with you. And through the rivers, they
won't overflow thee. And when you walk through the
fire, You're not gonna be burned. In fact, the flames won't even
kindle upon thee. The Lord said in Isaiah 41 10,
fear not thou for I am with thee. Be not dismayed for I am thy
God. I like that. I am thy God. I'll strengthen you. Yeah, I'll
help you. I'll uphold you, listen, with
the right hand of my righteousness. And the right hand of his righteousness
is Christ the Lord, our righteousness. He holds us up. Now, if he holds
us up, you reckon we can fall? There's no possibility. And then
he says in the fifth place, I will deliver him. It's a little different
word than the one used in verse 14. This one means I'll raise
him up, I'll pull him out, I'll equip him. This is a tremendous mercy. The Lord not only will be with
us, but one of these days he's gonna deliver us out of a worn
out body He's gonna deliver us from the
very presence of sin, and he's gonna take us into his presence.
I will deliver you. And these bodies that are gonna
go back to the grave, he'll deliver that too. Yeah, because he redeemed
us body and soul. And then sixthly, he says, I
will honor him. Lord, you gonna honor me? I hadn't
done anything. All I've done is sin. You gonna
honor me? Yes, I'm gonna honor you. You're
my child. He honors us by robing us in
the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. We wear the king's
garment. The king's garment. He honors
us by forgiving all of our transgressions. He honors us by calling us His
children, His brethren, His family. And someday in heaven's glory,
He will honor us before all the universe and say to all of the
universe, behold, I and my children, here they all are, having received their predestinated
end, conformed to the image of Christ Jesus. I'll honor him. And then he says, I'll satisfy
him with long life. Now this, in verse 16, with long
life will I satisfy him. This satisfaction of a long life,
it's not a guarantee of a long life in this world. Because a
long life in this world really is just a breath. That's what James says. It's
just, what's your life? It's a vapor. No matter how long
you live. You know, some of God's faithful
servants didn't live very long. I was thinking about John the
Baptist. He's a forerunner of the Lord Jesus. Man, what a preacher. What a preacher. The Lord even
said, he told the Jews, have you beheld my servant? He's not
a reed blowing in the wind, he's like an oak tree, just stands
there. He preaches, you generation of
vipers. He was tough. And he preached,
behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. You
say, boy, I bet you the Lord used him a lot of years. He died
when he was 33. 33. And nobody in this congregation,
33. We're all older than that. I love Augustus Toplady. He's
just one of my favorite writers. He's one of my favorite preachers.
He stood for sovereign grace. He stood against John Wesley. He stood against error. He wrote
rock of ages, wrote lots of other songs, and he was a mighty preacher. He said, I bet you the Lord gave
him a long life. 37 when he died. 37. David Brainerd. You ever read
about him? It's very interesting to read
about the story of David Brainerd. He was a missionary to the American
Indians New England. And he got, when he was about
20 or 21 years of age, he got something, they called it consumption.
But nowadays they say he had tuberculosis. It was the beginning
of tuberculosis. And he wrote in his diary how
that he would have coughing spells. He didn't be out preaching. He'd
have coughing spells, be coughing up blood. Kept on preaching. He got so sick, you ever heard
Jonathan Edwards, Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God? We
read that when I was in high school. I don't reckon I read
it anymore, I don't know. But he got so sick, Jonathan
Edwards took him into his house. And Jonathan Edwards, his youngest
daughter, took care of Brainerd till he died, and he died of
tuberculosis. And then that youngest daughter
of Jonathan Edwards, a few months later, she died of tuberculosis.
She got it from David Brainerd. 29, that's all he was, 29 years old
when he died. And Charles Spurgeon, 57. No, this is not speaking about
a long life in this world. The satisfaction is this, a long,
long life with the Lord, and that's forever. That's forever. He that believeth on the Son,
Christ said, hath everlasting life. That's the life I'm interested
in. That's the length of the life
I'm interested in, everlasting life. My, what a contrast to
Psalm 90. Look at verses 9 and 10 of Psalm
90. For all our days, verses 9 and
10 of Psalm 90, for all our days are passed away in thy wrath.
We spend our years, we consume them as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore
years and ten. And if by reason of strength
they beforescore years, that is 80, yet is their strength
labor and sorrow, for it is soon cut off and we fly away. Think about the life of Israel
in the wilderness. As we would say, their lives
were shortened because of disobedience. But the obedience of our Savior
in this wilderness of sin, his obedience unto death has won
for us immortality. And when we see Christ Jesus
at immortality, Just goes on and on, and that's when we'll
be satisfied. I'll be satisfied when I awaken His likeness. And
then here's the last thing, verse 16, the last statement, and I'll
show Him my salvation. I'll manifest unto Him the fullness
of my salvation. There's so much we don't know.
There's so much we don't understand. But He'll give to us the very
culmination of this salvation. That's why Paul says, now is
our salvation nearer than when we first believed. Say, preacher,
when were you saved? Well, I was saved when God put
me in Christ Jesus. I couldn't have ever been any
safer than I was in old eternity when God put me in his son. I was saved when Christ Jesus
died for me. Thou shalt call his name Jesus,
for he shall save his people from their sin. He saved me when
he died for me. I was saved when the Holy Spirit
formed Christ in me. He's the hope of glory. When
he revealed to me the gospel, when he quickened me from the
dead and gave me faith, when he formed the new man in me,
I was saved. And I'm being saved now. I'm
being delivered constantly from dangers and troubles. I'm all
the time being saved from the evil one. And I'll be fully saved
when I awaken the likeness of the Lord Jesus, the one who redeemed
me. And when he raises my body from
the grave, then it will be said, He's fully saved. He's fully
saved. I love the story in Luke chapter
2 when Simeon, the Lord had promised him that he wouldn't die until
he had seen God's Christ. And he saw the Lord Jesus, just
an infant of a few days. And he said, now, Lord, let thy
servant depart in peace, for mine eyes have seen thy salvation. which thou hast prepared before
the face of the people. That will be the crowning jewel
of salvation, to see Christ, to be with Christ, and to be
like Christ, and there to abide in his presence forever. And
then you can say, well, Jim is finally fully saved. Fully saved. And so we reach the end of Psalm
91. Protection for God's people.
Oh, how safe we are in our beloved Redeemer. Our Father,
Jim Byrd
