I want to get my title of my
message out of verse 14. Lo, these are parts of His ways,
just parts of His ways. Job had three men who came to
him and when he was left alone, Balls all over him, sitting in
an ash heap, scraping himself with a pot shirt in his balls.
Lost his family, lost everything. Lost his health. And three comforters
came, three friends came to talk to him, try to comfort him. And the thing that their problem
was, is that they thought Job, all these things that happened
to him because he had sinned, didn't know anything about God
trying a man. God putting a man in the crucible,
putting him in the fire. putting him in the furnace of
affliction. So they went through all the things that Job had done
and if he would have got right with, you know, in our vernacular,
if he would have got right with God, if he had repented of his
sin, if he had owned up his sin and repented and believed God,
then he'd get his health back, he'd get his wealth back, he'd
get everything back. And they kept telling him all
that was wrong with him. All that was wrong with him.
But they never ever had any understanding. They said some wonderful things
about God. They were blind men trying to
describe Job's trouble and his reason and also the remedy. You know what Job called them?
He said he called them miserable comforters, physicians of no
value. And so Job, he ends up defending
himself and how he defends himself is described his relationship
with God and how glorious and how mighty God is and though
Job words reveal that though Satan had brought ruin and brought
desolation upon him he had not destroyed his view of God Almighty
I mean he had been Greatly attacked and God let Satan at him But
yet it never changed his view of God Never changed his view
of God if you got the right view of God nothing in this world
can ever happen to you to change your view of God If you're not
have a right view of God nothing can do Only God can be the one
to give you the right view of himself He's the only one that
can You know, Houston was telling me about a girl he went to school
with. You know, this is the way people
view things. Satan sent the tornado, killed
all them people, and God's the one that saved the ones that
didn't get killed. But that's the way the world views things.
If a honky-tonk burns down, God did it. If a church burns down,
Satan did it. And that's the way people view
things. The devil does the bad things, God does the good things.
That's why they have such problem with how does bad things happen
to good people. Well, here's a man that God said
himself, He said, if you consider myself a Job, a perfect, a perfect
and an upright man. That's what God, that's how God
viewed Jake Job. Have you ever considered him?
He said, oh yeah, I've watched him. I tell you what, the only
reason he doesn't cuss you to your face is you got a hedge
around him. So this is all the things that happened to Job.
Then when he lost everything that he had, he bowed, shaved
his head, bowed himself before the Lord and said, the Lord hath
given, the Lord hath taken away. And then after that, the second
time Satan attacked him, his wife said to him, why don't you
just go ahead and cuss God and die? Just go ahead and get it
over with. You would think with all these
things happening, the boy here would have said, boy, God sure
gave me a rough way to go. I mean, He put me pretty rockin'
a hard place here. But instead, it just made his
view of God. Scott Richardson said this one
time, Job had nothing but God alone. And is that enough? It was for Job. It was for Job. And here he is, had all these
things happened to him, and these miserable comforters always accused
him of all of his sin, of his self-righteousness and self-justification. But in view of all that, it never
ever changed his view of God, and his faith in God, and his
hope in God. And he just begins to talk here
and he begins to say some things about God He said these are just
parts of his ways now go back up here at verse 6 with me and
let's start right there Let's start right there He said hail is naked before
him and destruction hath no covering and When he says hell is naked
before him, that means that everything that's on this earth, hell on
earth, and there's a lot of things on earth that's rough on people. And he's a hell in beneath. And
the world of spirits is naked before his eyes. There's nothing,
and what he's saying is there's absolutely nothing that he don't
see. He sees in the hell, he sees
on the earth, and Hebrews 4.13 says all things are open and
naked before him with whom we have to do. Now look, you keep
Job, and look over here at Psalm 139. Look at Psalm 139. You know, His eyes see all the
way to the bottom of the bottomless pit. And you know, your heart and
mind is naked before Him. As we sat here this morning,
I tell you, we're just as transparent to Him as anything there is in
this world. But look what he said here in
Psalm 139 in verse 7. This is David speaking now. How
about God searched him inside and outside, up and down. And
he said, Where there shall I go from thy spirit? Where can I
go from your spirit? Where shall I flee from thy presence? Where can I go to get away from
where you are? If I send up to heaven, you're
there. If I make my bed in hell, You're
there! Wherever I go, that's where you
are. If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost
parts of the sea, I go as far out in the ocean as I can possibly
get. Even there shall thy hand lead
me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say surely the
darkness shall cover me, that the dark gets so great, the trial
gets so great, that I mean darkness covers me and I can't see any
light. Even the night shall be light about me. And oh yea, the
darkness hideth not from thee. Oh, it don't get too dark for
God to see. But the night shineth as the
day. When God looks at the night, it's just no different to Him
than the day. The darkness and the light are both like unto
thee. So there's nothing, there's nothing,
no place you can go where God can't see you and God don't know
you. And there's no place you can
go to get away from Him. You know, when he says hell is
naked before him, that means, beloved, he sees everybody. He
gave us a glimpse into hell when there was dives down there. And
he said, let Lazarus come and dip his finger in water and cool
my parched tongue. He let us have a view of what
it was going to be like. And so hell is naked before him. And look what else it says here
now in verse 7 of Job 26. And I tell you, this is the thing
about it. People think, well, I tell you what, I can do this
and I can do that and God won't see me and God don't know what
I'm doing and He don't... Listen! I tell you what, He sees
you at 1 o'clock in the morning and 1 o'clock in the morning
is no different to Him than 1 o'clock in the afternoon. And then look what it says here
in verse 7. He hangs the earth upon nothing. Oh my! What's this earth hanging
on here? What's holding the earth up here?
What's causing the earth to stay where it's at? Why is it staying
right where it's at? It don't ever move. It goes around
and around and around and around and around and around. Why don't
it go this way and that way and this way and another way? Because
he hung it on nothing. You know, look over, I know I'm
going to have you look at a lot of things, but you keep Job in
your left hand and look in Psalm 11 verse 3. Psalm 11 verse 3,
look at this. You know, do you know what the
foundation of the earth is? God, God's the foundation of
the earth. What holds this thing together?
God does. What keeps it hanging? God does. God does. Look what he said here
in Psalm 11 verse 3. And this, if the foundations
be destroyed, what can the righteous do? Well, do you think the foundations
of God's going to be destroyed? They think the foundations of
the earth, you know the foundations of the world will be destroyed
if they do. What's the righteous going to do? Same thing they
did when God hung the world upon nothing. What are we going to
do? God hung it up on nothing and
we're going to trust Him because I tell you one thing, the foundations
of this earth is not going to be destroyed until God Himself
destroys it. They keep talking about climate
change, that we're destroying the world, and we're going to
destroy the earth, and we're going to destroy the climate.
Listen, God's not going to... This earth is His. He hung it
on nothing. And it will hang on nothing until
He decides to do away with it, and create another, and hang
it on nothing. Huh? The Scriptures tell us how
things were created. And science tries its dead level
best to convince men that it wasn't that way. But I'm going
to believe God. I'm not going to believe a scientist. If a scientist says, you know,
the earth has been here 14 billion years, how do they know? How
can you count that far? How do they know it's been here
that long? They found something that says, well, this was created
15 billion years ago. This was created 90 billion years
ago. Where in the world are they getting their information? You
know, they're like politicians. They can talk into hundreds and
hundreds of billions of dollars. You can do that when you're using
somebody else's money. And that's why when you're a
scientist and you don't want to believe in God, you want to
believe within anything in the world. I'm telling you something,
beloved. God is the world. He's holding this world on nothing. And that's why, beloved, the
foundation of the world is never going to be destroyed. Oh, people say everything's out
of culture and maybe it is to them and as far as the world
is concerned, it is. But to us, our world is safe,
our world is secure, our world is just exactly going the way
it's supposed to go. And bless His holy name. You
know, they talk about the circle of the earth. Then thought the
earth was flat for generations. And they thought, boy, when they'd
leave one place, they'd just go so far and have to turn around
and come back. Because if they went too far, they'd go off again.
Until somebody read in the Bible, God setteth upon the circle of
the earth. And they said, well, this thing's
round. If we go this way, we'll go back this way, and we can
come all the way around this thing. Oh, my. And I tell you the balance of
the world is here it is in space. And this says there's just parts
of His ways. You know how many worlds there
are in this world? There's the world of stars. There's the Milky Way, Orion,
Aquarius. There's all kinds of... God talks about Orion here in
Job. And there's the seas. Oh, the world of the sea. People have been eating out of
the sea as long as the sea's been in existence, and we're
still eating out of it. There's the moon, there's the
sun, and then there's our world. Our world, everybody has a world. We got our world. We got a world
of our family. We got our church world. We got
our world of our kids. We all got our own little worlds.
And we care about our own little worlds. And we all got them. This God's world isn't ours. As small as it is, it's still
God's. Ain't it? Yeah. Oh my. Well, let's go back over
here again. Job, look what he says here now
in verse 8. He bindeth up the waters into
thick clouds, and the clouds is not red unto them. You know, you can look at the
clouds, and they get heavy, heavy, heavy, these big old dark clouds.
They're plumbed full of water, just plumbed full of water. And
you know what holds all these clouds together? God does. In fact, He said they're the
dust of His feet. And they're held together by
God's invisible hands until He opens them. And then he pours
out the water. Now he can have a little shower
or he can have a deluge. He can cause a flood. Or he can turn it dry. He can
do it any way he wants to do it. And that's fine with us.
I'll tell you what, you know, everybody says, well I wish you'd
do this and I wish you'd do that and I wish you'd do another thing.
Beloved, it's going to do what it's going to do because that's
what God says is going to happen. You know, he could He could,
he could, well just like last year, it rained all, I mean the
water got way up in our yard. Covers the docks come way up
in the yard. In July and August you didn't
even have to mow your yards. Explain that. Huh? How do you explain that? How's
come one place is green and another place nothing but desert? How come one time that you know
God has His way out of the whirlwind, He goes here and He takes this
house and leaves this other standing and not a spot on it? Not even
a shingle off the roof. And how, there's only one explanation
for those things. It has to be God. It cannot be
chance. It cannot. Oh my. You know, you watch the clouds
go by, like we did last summer, and hope for rain, and then there's
none. And then other times it'll rain,
it'll rain, it'll rain, it'll rain, it'll rain, and you'll
think it ain't never gonna stop. And then they'll say, well Mother
Nature sure handed us a curve today, didn't she? There's no
such thing as Mother Nature. I'm going to tell you three ladies
that do not exist. You know who they are? There's
Mother Nature. She don't exist. And then there's
Lady Luck. And there's Miss Fortune. We don't believe in none of those
things. People say, make your own luck.
You cannot talk about God's sovereignty and luck in the same breath.
Huh? Well, they had an awful bad accident.
Well, to us it's an accident. To God, it's on purpose. Listen, I'm not just talking
off the top of my head. I'm telling you by experience
and what God says. And I'd rather believe what God
says than what anybody else says in this world. Huh? Everybody's scared about this
virus. I'm not a bit more scared of that virus than I am of the
sun coming up tomorrow. If God wills me to have that,
I'm going to get it. If He don't, He's going to protect
me. I've been sick before and I'll be sick again. We are in
the hands of God Almighty and when are we going to realize
that? God's the one running this world, not us. I can understand poor people,
you know, of the world getting scared to death, but I can't
understand believers getting scared. I really can't. I don't
understand that. I can, you know, I can understand
If somebody is sick, I really can't. But I do not understand
believers doing that. I was talking to Bruce Crabtree
the other day and Steve Jones, Steve's baby sister's husband
died last week. They had his funeral yesterday.
And he said this fella has been preaching on the sovereignty
of God in his church. He said, I've been preaching
on the sovereignty of God on and on and on about God's sovereignty.
And then he called Bruce and said, well, I'm afraid to get
out. You know, I'm afraid to come to the funeral. I might
not be there because I'm kind of afraid to get out. Go to be a blessing to a brother
and sister in Christ and all the saints of God and preach
on God's sovereignty and say, I'm afraid to get out. Now, Brad, that's a contradiction,
ain't it? Oh, what a contradiction. I don't
understand it. Either we're going to believe
him, or we're not. We're going to trust him, or
we're not. If we listened to people in television,
we'd all go to the house, close the shades, and lock the doors. That's what we'd do. But oh no, I tell you what, He
binds up the waters. He ends this race. And I tell
you what, we're not trusting mother nature, we're not trusting
nobody but God. Now listen, I go to the doctor
and I get sick. I do. I take medicine when I
get sick. I take medicine for cholesterol. I do those things. But if cholesterol clogs up my
veins and I go like that, It's just the quickest way to get
to glory. I'm not bypassing means. Please don't misunderstand me.
But I just do not understand people being scared of going
out in public and preaching God's sovereignty and then, well, I'm
afraid to go. I don't understand it, you know,
and you do what you want to do and you go by your own feelings
I would not impose my conscience on you for nothing But I'll tell
you what for me for me For me. All right. Let's go back here
and look at another one in verse 9 He holds back the face of his
throne and spreads the cloud upon it he holds back the face
of his throne and What Job is saying here is behind everything
that you and I see, behind the visible creation that you and
I see, behind all the laws and forces that you and I see, behind all that we see out here
in nature, all of it is a veil spread over
the face of His eternal throne. Everything we can see is just
a veil over His throne. And you know, His throne is not
visible to us. We've never seen the throne of
God. But we know He's got one. And we know He sits on it. He's got a throne. And He says
that He holds back the face of His throne. You know why he holds
it back? Because we could not stand to
see the glory. That's why God said, no man has
seen my face and never lived. So he has to hide himself. He
has to veil himself. In all this creation, in all
the laws and forces, little Riley asked me, she said, do you know
the three laws of Newton? I said, well, there's the law
of gravity, there's the law of force, and And she told me the
other one, I forget it. You know, when a 10 year old
starts teaching you, you know, you're not very bright. You know, you're not very smart.
But anyway, those are laws. How in the world did Newton discover
them? Gravity had always existed. But
he watched an apple fall off a tree. He said, boy, what pulled
that apple off that tree? Gravity. And from the time it
fell to the time it hit the ground, it had more force by the time
it hit the ground than it did when it started falling. Now
things had always been gravity. Things had always fell out of
the sky. Apples always fell off a tree. How did he discover all
that? It's time for God to do it. So we can understand what's
going on. Huh? You know gravity is affecting
our bodies, ain't it? Pulling everything down. Pulling our forehead down from
our hair. Oh my. Pulling our chest down. You know what? It's pitiful. And that's just what I'm talking
about, you know. But all these laws that we see, all these things
just hide, they just hide God's face. Just hide God's face. His throne is not visible to
us. His throne is not visible to us. Only by faith. Only by faith. You know, and
thank God He told us That His throne was the throne of grace.
And that we come to His throne, though we can't see it. We come
because He's the God of all grace. We come because of grace. Behind
the whole creation, And the whole creation holds back the face
of His throne. And that throne is the glory
and majesty of God Almighty, who rules over all. And He shines
through this material world. I see God in this world. I see
God in this world. Oh my, I see God in everything
that there is. Don't you see Him? Don't you
understand Him? Don't you know that He lives in this world?
And we see everything that we see? We can say that God is behind
that? I'll tell you a story that just
happened yesterday. No, Friday. Friday, not yesterday. Albert and Barb came over to
do some work in the yard. And what's that thing you called?
Spiker. Aerator. He's going over in the
yard, you know, with these big spikes on it, aerating the yard.
And he was going through the backyard and he hit the gas line. Cause he was only under the ground
about that deep. I didn't know that. He run over
that gas line. Well you know what? There was
two fellas just not very far from our yard. They heard that.
And they was, what they do, they work for the gas company and
put in gas lines, and they was putting in a gas line for a fella,
and they came over and fixed that gas line. How's that happen? You know what? God was on his
throne, caused him to hit the gas line so we know where it
was, and had the fellas over there to come over there and
fix it. And gonna come and redo it tomorrow and put it where
it goes. That's what I'm talking about. God's throne, and by then
you know, it's invisible to everybody. But we saw it clearly Friday,
didn't we? We see it clearly in the smallest
things. That's God. Oh, how glorious
does He be. And oh, when you see behind that
cloud, there's a throne. When the sun's shining, there's
a throne up there. And he's sitting on that throne,
guiding our affairs. And then look what he says here
in verse 10. He hath set the boundary, he hath
compassed the waters with bounds until the day and night end.
You know, God set the boundaries upon the face of the waters.
That's another thing science is telling us, and all these
people are telling us. That one of these days the ocean
is going to overcome us. That the ocean is rising so fast,
it's going to rise up and destroy all of us. It's going to just
keep rising. But I'll tell you something,
God said He set the bounds of the waters in the face on the
waters. Huh? He set the bounds of the
ocean. One of the first things I do
as we go to the ocean and go to the beach is I get a tide
chart and find out when the tide comes in, the tide goes out.
Because I have been sitting there before and the tide come in and
you get everything wet. Sitting too close. Lost a camera
that way one time. The tide come in, we're laying
there sleeping and the next thing you know the tide comes in and
we're in the ocean. I mean, that really happened.
That happens. And so, you know, He sets the
bounds upon the face of the waters. He said you can go this far,
even on a flood, He said you can go this far, and then you
got to go back. He sets the bounds on everything
and how far it will go. He sets the bounds of the ocean,
the seas, and you know, He set the bounds of the horizon. When
you're standing there and you see the horizon out in the ocean,
He set how far you could see, and where you could see the horizon.
And when you go that far, then you see the horizon again. And
you go to that horizon, you see it again. How come that is? Because
He set the bounds. Huh? I tell you what, He set
the limitations to everything on earth until the day and night
come to an end. Look over in Isaiah 40 with me.
You know, look in Isaiah 40. Look at this. You know, we're bound by time and we're
bound by our senses. And that old song, you know, just playing it this morning. It says, you know, where sin
and sense shall molest no more. And that means this senses that
we have, the sight, the taste and the movement that we have. God help us to see beyond time
and see into eternity and see behind these senses that we have
and see God. Oh listen, look what it said
here in verse 12, Isaiah 40 verse 12. So he set the boundary upon the
face of the waters, who hath measured the waters in the hollow
of his hand, and meted out the heaven with a span, and comprehended
the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in
scales, and the hills in balances." Boy, ain't that something? You see, you know, you look at
the mountains. Oh my goodness. And He measured them in scale.
Then look down here in verse 15, look what it says about it. Behold the nations as a drop
of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance. Behold, he taketh up the isles
as a very little thing. Oh my. And I tell you, beloved,
when that Paul went down to Mars Hill, and stood there at Mars
Hill, and he seen all them gods there, and there was an altar.
We had a description of the unknown God. Paul said, listen, I'm going
to tell you about Him. And you know what he said about
him? This unknown God. He made the earth, the heavens,
the earth, and the sea. And He knows all things. And He said, He went on to say
this, it's by Him we live and we move and we have our being.
Oh my. And He stirs up the sea by His
power down here in verse 12. Let me go back, let's go back
over there again. In verse 12, He stirreth up the
sea by His power. In verse 12 he said he divided
the sea with his power. Oh my! He stirreth up the sea
by his power. He caused Israel to walk through
the sea. That's on dry land. On dry land. And then look what he said here
again in verse 12. He says this. And by his understanding
he smiteth through the proud. Huh? Oh my! You know one thing God hates?
He said He hates a proud look even. Hates a proud look. He
smites through the proud. The proud, the arrogant. He smites
them. He smites them through. You find
people in the Bible, when He put a man in the dust. Paul,
how proud was Paul? After the rise of the law, I
was blameless. God said, we're going to see
if you are. And he put him down. He took that proud man and put
him in the dust and made him to where he said, though I be
the chiefest of the apostles, I am nothing. Not only did he
say that, but he said, you're talking about being among a bunch
of sinners. I'm the chief of all the sinners that ever lived.
That's how he come down. He come from being up here to
being down as low as you can go. And I tell you that's what
God does for the proud. And I tell you the wisdom and
power of God ought to humble a man, but it doesn't. Look what
Job said over here in Job 19. Look in Job 19 and verse 9. Look
what it says here now. Job feeling pretty good maybe,
I don't know. But look what he said God did for him. He has stripped me of my glory
and taken the crown off my head. And I tell you what, He's going
to do that for us. We all got these little old crowns,
these little old accomplishments, these little old things that
we've done and we'll glory in that and set that little crown.
God said, I'm going to take that crown off. I'm going to stain
your glory. I'm going to just strip you of
your glory. But I tell you the wisdom and
power of God ought to humble a man. But it won't. It won't
do it until God gives him a view of the wisdom and power of God
that was manifested in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. He
smites through the proud. And oh my! He said, God said
that everything He does, He does is to stain the pride of man. And God resists the proud. He
just resists them. And oh my! Let's be thankful. God, keep us down. Don't let
us be proud. Then look what else it said here.
I've got to hurry. Look what it said in verse 13. By his Spirit he hath garnished
the heavens. You know, they're going to have
a shower back here and that means they've got it garnished. I mean,
they've got it dressed up. They've got it looking good.
And that's what people do, you know. They'll take a meal or
something and they'll put garnish on it. You know, dress up the
plate, make it look real inviting and tempting and all that. Well,
God Himself garnished the heavens. You know what garnish means?
It means to dress it up and make it look good. That's what he
does. He guards the heavens. Oh my. And he dresses up the heavens
by his spirits. And he dresses up his heavens.
And boy, we look, you know, we look into the heavens. Oh my.
Shirley never knew that the stars existed like they did until we
moved out to the farm. And there was no lie. She said,
I never knew there was that many stars in the heavens. Stand out
there in the dark, you know, no ambient light around. And
you look up, you just see all this as far as you can see. Big
dipper, little dipper. The Milky Way. The morning star,
the evening star. The first thing that comes up
is the evening star. You see it. And it's brighter than anything
else. And you can spot that thing,
and that's a good evening star. And I tell you what, He dressed
it up for us! For us to enjoy it, for us to
delight in it. For us to look up and say, oh
my soul, God, He dressed up His heaven. When He told Abraham
to look up, He said, look what I've done, Abraham. Look, look
at them stars, look at all that. I've done that. And I'm going
to make you as prosperous as that. Oh my, and I tell you something
he dresses us up with. He dresses his people up and
garnishes them and dresses them up with the best dress known
in this universe. The righteousness of his blessed
son, the Lord Jesus Christ. And then let me wind this thing
up if I can. And then in verse 13 it says,
not only has he garnished the heavens, his hand has formed
the crooked serpent. Oh my, what in the world are
you talking about here? You know, the first time we hear
about the serpent is in the Garden of Eden. Ain't that right? You ever heard of a serpent talking?
Well, that serpent talked. You know what our serpent here
is talking about? He's talking about the devil. And he calls
him that old serpent. Calls him that old serpent. And
I tell you what, he subdued the swift serpent. He subdued him.
The devil, whatever it is, it makes no difference. Both are
under the control of God. You remember, and I've done said
it, you know, when Job was... God does said, if you consider
my servant Job a perfect number, I mean, you know who he's talking
to? He's talking to the devil. And the devil couldn't touch
Job, couldn't do anything in this world until God said, I'll
let you at him. Huh? Until I let you at him.
And I'll tell you what, he's accuser of the brethren. He's
got plenty to accuse me of, but it makes no difference what he
accuses me of. Christ has settled the account. Huh? If God doesn't accuse me,
and God justifies me, and who shall owe anything to the charge
of God's elect, people say, well, the devil's going to do this,
the devil's going to do that. The devil ain't going to do anything
but what God says. You can do this, and you can
go that far, and you can't go no further. And they say they're
going to put him on a chain in the thousand year reign. He's
been on a chain since God made him. If he's going to keep him on
a chain for a thousand years and then turn him loose, then
what's going to happen? He's been on a chain? You know,
I've told you all this about Pilgrim's Progress. Pilgrim and
faithful were out one evening. And I tell you what, they got
just dark and they were scared and they seen this light. And
they said, oh my, and they seen this inviting line and said,
we're going to go to this wonderful house. We'll go to this wonderful
house here. But when they got up that close, there was a line
on both sides of that driveway. And they was growling at them.
And oh my goodness, they were scared to go, scared to go. Them
old lions was roaring. And they sneaked up there and
they got to looking. And they said, them lions is on chains.
And they can't get us. If we go right between them,
we'll get there. And that's exactly where God
is. I mean, He got the lion on a chain. And oh my. And I'll tell you
how mighty and glorious is our God. And look what it says there
in verse 14. And look what He said, And lo, these are just
parts of His ways, but how little a portion is heard of Him. Oh, how glorious, how wondrous,
how mighty, It is God that said, these are just parts, just parts
of His ways. Just parts of them. The outskirts
of them. And how little a portion is heard
of Him. When we hear everything we can
know about Him, and all the things we can say about Him. We see through a glass so darkly. Sometimes we hear just a whisper. And other times we'll hear a
loud voice from His Word. Sometimes He just whispers in
our ear, and other times He comes and speaks to us in wondrous
power. In creation, He spoke. But at the cross, He really spoke. At the cross, We hear God crying
out. We hear God's vows before us. It's loud. A loud cry. And you know what the loud cry
was? It is finished. Salvation's done. God's glorified. His elect are saved. The blood's been shed. Righteousness
has been established. And I will save all my people. And beloved, when we get into
eternity, the scripture said that in the ages to come, we
might see the exceeding riches of His grace. You know how long
it's going to take to see that? As long as eternity is. That's
why He said these are just parts of His ways. Parts of His ways. Huh? Oh my. But I'm glad I know
just a little, I'm glad I know just part of him. I'm thankful,
you know, there's people who don't know anything. But I'd
rather know just little bits, just little parts of his ways,
wouldn't you? So nothing at all, nothing at
all. Our Father, oh, our Father, how
wonderfully blessed and glorious You are. Thank You for allowing
us to meet. Thank You for allowing us to
look into Your Word, to be blessed by Your Word. Our Father, You, oh, when we speak of You, It's like trying to describe
something that's bigger than the whole universe.
And yet, Lord, You gave us words to describe You to just a little
bit, and we thank You for it. God bless these dear saints.
Open hearts, bring people to faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Bring sinners to faith in Christ.
We ask these things in His name. Amen. Let's sing How Great Thou
Art as a closing hymn. Will that work? Let's stand together
and sing that. That's just the thing in this
service hall, How Great Thou Art. I see the stars Thy power throughout the universe
displayed Him sings my soul, my Savior God great thou art. Then sings my soul, my Savior
God to thee. How great thou art. How great thou art. And forest glades I wander, And
to the birds sing sweetly in the trees. then sings my soul How great thou art, how great thou art. This sings my soul, my Savior
God, to thee. How great thou art, How great Thou art! And when I think that God, His Son, not sparing, sent Him,
I scarce can take it in. My burden, my burden. He bled and he died. Take away, take away my sin. Then my soul sings. great thou art, how great thou
art, then sings my soul. Listen when Christ shall come
With shout of acclamation Listen to this and take me home. I What joy! Oh, what joy! I'm going to bow. Humble, humble adoration. There I'll proclaim. Oh my God, how great you are! How great, how great thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior
God to Thee, How great Thou art! Bye.
