the 19th Psalm. The heavens declare
the glory of God, and the firmament showeth his handiwork. Day unto
day utter speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge. There
is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their
line is gone out throughout all the earth, and their words to
the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle
for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his and rejoices
as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end
of heaven, and his circuit under the ends of it, and there is
nothing hid from the heat thereof. The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is
sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are
right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is
pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are
true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than
gold, yea, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the
honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant
warned, and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can
understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from
presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over
me, then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from
the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and
the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord,
my strength and my Redeemer. Now if you look back here with
me in the 19th Psalm, You notice there's two revelations
here. Two revelations and I want to
talk about just one of them this evening. The first revelation
is the heavens declare the glory of God. The heavens do. There's nowhere you can go if
you've ever seen. You cannot look at this world
and view this world and see some of the beauty and glory and majesty
in it and not see God's glory. God created this world. If you've
ever seen the redwoods of California, ever seen the Grand Canyon, if
you ever saw the Grand Tetons, you know you see God's glory. The heavens declare Him. The
firmament shows His handiwork. Then he talks about the sun,
and wherever you go, this declaration of the glory of God. God Himself
declares this, the heavens declare. They don't say, I hope you look
at Him, I'd like for it. God declares His glory in the
heavens. Then he talks about there's no
place on the earth you can go where this voice is not heard.
And he even said he set the sun in the tabernacle. And of course
the sun is like our Lord Jesus Christ. He's the light of his
church. He's the light of his people.
And he goes as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber. He's a strong
man to run a race. But I want to talk about the
second tonight. And that creation is limited.
You know, the glory of the creation is limited. You don't see Christ's
righteousness in it. You don't see redemption in it.
You don't see salvation in looking at the stars or looking at the
things of the earth. You don't see them. We can thank
God for them, we can bless God for them, and we can praise God
for them as we stand and behold. But those things don't show us
Christ. They do not show us the blood
and the righteousness and the cleansing power of the Lord Jesus
Christ. Don't show us God's righteousness
and holiness and justice and grace and mercy. They don't do
that. If they did, then everybody,
every time they look to heavens, they say, oh my, I need to worship
God. But they don't. But there's also
a revelation from His Word, revelation in His Word, in the Scriptures.
And that's what we're talking about going through verse 7 through
verse 13. You know, when God's pleased
to reveal Himself in His Word, it has a profound effect, a profound
effect upon those He's blessed to reveal it to. a profound effect
upon those that He saves by His blessed grace, the Scriptures
do. But our six sentences here, in six sentences, verses 7 through
13, David in six sentences gives us a wonderful, gives us a wonderful,
the wonderful glory of God's Word. He gives us the glories
of God's blessed Word. And how God uses it, and the
Word The Word and all of its effects upon men's minds and
about God's grace and how He works in men's hearts and minds.
But let me give you just a few things about it tonight. Look,
there's the titles of the Word of God. Look what it says in
verse 7. Here's the titles of God's blessed
Word. He says, The Law of the Lord
is perfect. The law of the Lord is perfect. When he says the
law of the Lord, he's not talking about Moses' law. He's not talking
about the ceremonial law. He's talking about the scriptures.
He's talking about God's word. The law is mentioned in three
ways, the Ten Commandments. Then there's Moses' law with
all the rituals and all the cleanings and all the ceremonies. And then
there's the law that tells us God's word. And here's what this
is talking about. The law of the Lord, the word
of the Lord is perfect. It says it's perfect. You know
what it means when it's perfect? It could not not be perfect because
it comes from God who is perfect. And the scriptures are free.
The word of God is free from all error. There's no errors
in this. I don't like to hear men start
trying to correct the word of God. I don't like it. I never
have. And if you find a fault in one
part of it, then you can find a fault in another part of it.
And if you can't trust all of it, you can't trust any of it.
And the law of the Lord is perfect. And it's free from all error. And it's perfect because it's
filled with all good. Everything about it's good. It's
perfect in its goodness. It's perfect in its glory. It's
perfect in its power. And it's perfect for the purpose
that God sent it to do. The Scriptures, all Scriptures
given by inspiration of God is profitable for reproof, rebuke,
righteousness, instruction in righteousness that the man of
God may be perfect, furnished thoroughly into all good works.
And it works, the law of the Lord is perfect. Perfect. And then look what else, not
only says is it perfect, free from error. Perfect in His goodness,
perfect in His power. And then it converts the soul.
It's perfect to convert the soul. Now, you know what conversion
is? Let me see if I can explain conversion. A man only gets saved
one time. God regenerates a man one time,
saves a man one time. But there's many, many times
in our lives that we're converted. You know, Peter, and God told
Peter, said, after you're converted, Converted from what? He was God's
child. He's God's elect. He was used
of God. But when you're converted, converted
from what? From your self-confidence, from
your presumption, from your arrogance, from your pride and how many
times have we been in certain moods and certain ways and that
and God turns us. David said, Jeremiah said like
this, Turn us Lord and we should be turned. And God saves us once,
but how many times have we been turned from ourselves? How many
times have we been turned from false conceptions and pride and
all the things that's wrong with us? How many times has God converted
us? And it's perfect, it converts
the soul. It makes the soul turn to God over and over and over
again. And I tell you, and it turns
us back to God. I saved once, but many, many
conversions. I need converted every once in
a while. Oh, you know, and that's why we pray. How many times have
you prayed privately, Lord? God, if I'm going the wrong way,
turn me! If I'm thinking the wrong thing,
turn me! If I'm feeling the wrong thing,
turn me! And that's what conversion means. Oh, isn't it? And the law of
the Lord is perfect, and it's got the power to convert the
soul. Turn us to God and turn us back
to God. And then look what else it says
here in verse 7. The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul. This is the revelation of God's
Word. The testimony of the Lord is
sure. Everybody knows what a testimony
is. You get in court, you raise your hand, I'm going to tell
the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth. And they say,
well, you're going to testify this, testify that. Well, God
here says that He's got a testimony, that God Himself testifies. And His testimony is sure. If
God testifies to something, you reckon it's right? You reckon
it's true? Paul says, you know, I came brethren
declaring unto you what? The testimony of God. What God testifies to. And what does God testify to?
He testifies to himself in his own glory. Testifies to himself
in his own holiness. He testifies to himself and his
own righteousness. He testifies of himself and his
own judgments. He testifies of himself and everything
that's right about him. And he testifies of his son and
his son being one with him from eternity. And in the testimony
of the Lord, the scripture says it's sure. Sure. Oh my, we can
be sure that what God testifies to, it's sure. I don't know if
that fella's telling the truth or not, but listen, if God's
testifying, you mark her down, it's sure. I mean, it's sure. And I tell you what, we can be
sure his witness is true. And it's right. And I tell you
what, you know, God's Word, the testimony of the Lord, it won't
deceive us. A man can be in a court of law and deceive somebody.
But oh, if God testifies, His testimony is not going to deceive
us. Not going to lead us any way but to the truth and in the
right way. And then look what else he says.
the Testimony of the Lord is the witness of the truth. It's
a sure foundation, and it makes us wise to salvation. And not
only that, but it witnessed us to thanks. I'm still talking
about the Testimony of the Lord. I don't know why I said look
back over there. But you know, it's a witness to the truth.
God testifies to the truth of the Scripture. and the word of
God that this this testimony of the Lord it's a sure foundation
and it's able to make us wise unto salvation through faith
which is in Christ and here's the third thing about God's testimony
it witnesses to things that are right now and us right now and
things that are to come tells us things that are to come And
then look what he said again there in verse seven. Not only
is the testimony of the Lord sure, but it will make the simple
wise. It'll make the simple wise. When
I seen that, looking at it, I started thinking about several people
that I've known over the years. Very, very simple minded people.
You know, they didn't get very far away from home. They wasn't
worldly wise. They was just very, very plain,
simple, ordinary people. The world was very small. And
that's, you know, a lot of old timers is that way. But it'll
make the simple wise. It'll take the simplest man and
make him wise. What'll it make him wise in?
In the word of God. Make him wise in salvation. Make
him wise in Christ. Make him wise to know that he
needs Christ. Make him wise in God's blessed
word. Make him wise in the salvation
of his own soul. And make him wise to make a good
testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ. Everybody remembers Brother Albert
Blalock, one of the simplest men you ever was around in your
life. To write his name, he wouldn't recognize it. But oh, how he
loved Christ. How he loved his gospel. How
he loved God's preachers. He took care of the tapes back
when we was using tapes. He took care of the tapes every
Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. And he carried
my water to me every service for years. And he sat right there
every service. He always sat on that spot right
there. Now he's really wise. But the Lord takes people, he
takes the simple and makes them wise. It had to take, you know,
for somebody as simple as some of us, God's the only one that
can make us wise. Only one that can make us wise
under salvation. Only one that can make us wise
in God's blessed word. And then look what it says in
verse eight. Oh, this titles of God's word. Perfect testimony. And look what it says in the
statutes of the Lord are right. The statutes of the Lord network
statutes means. things that are enacted by Him.
That whatever they are, they're right. They are right. And they're
God's statutes. You notice that said God's statutes.
The statutes of the Lord are right. And they're God's statutes. And a statute is something that's
established. Something that's enacted by God. It's things that's enacted. And
God enacted some things. And when he enacted these statutes,
he enacted them from eternity. God didn't start his statutes
when he wrote his book. He had statutes established before
the foundation of the world. Then he wrote his blessed book.
And there are statutes that's going to always stand. The fact
that Christ is the only hope of salvation, that's a statute.
The fact that God's will is going to be done, that's a statute.
The decrees of God, that's a statute. That there's no hope for a sinner
outside of the blood of Christ, that's a statute. And they come
from God. The covenant of grace is a statute. Declaring the end from the beginning
is a statute. The way God is and the way He
established things in this world, it's a statute and He enacted
them and ain't nobody going to change them. We can all get together
here and gather around, stop bombarding heaven, asking God
to do one thing and change it, but He ain't going to do it.
His will is a statute. The salvation of His elect is
a statute. And then people talk about statutes,
they want to go back to laws, but everything God does is an
enactment of His own will and power in this world. And I like
every one of them. They come from His eternal counsels
and His will. And look what it says. They're
right. They're always right. Could God
make a statute that wouldn't be right? Huh? And they're right. They're right for you. They're
right for me. And here's the thing about it.
God's statutes will set us right. They'll make us right and set
us right. Oh he'll bring them statues to
our heart and he'll bring them home to our heart and we'll always
say Lord you're right whatever you do is right shall not the
judge of all the earth do right and then look what else it says
the statues of the lot right and look what it says rejoicing
the heart oh god statues they rejoice the heart don't they
oh they set that heart there rejoicing Oh, how they set the
heart to rejoice. God's greatest precepts and statutes
to the mind. Oh, they rejoice the heart. Oh,
this blessed, blessed right. Oh, how they rejoice the heart
to the mind. And I tell you what, this is
the thing that some of the statutes, when Christ says, I'm the way,
oh, what a blessed statute. I was away from God. Now I've
got a way to God. That's the statue. God said,
I'm the way. And then when he said, I'm the
truth. Oh, I can know truth. And I'm
the life. I got life. That rejoices your
heart. And then he says, no man comes
unto the Father but by me. Oh, I've come to God through
Christ, by Christ, and because of Christ. Don't that rejoice
your heart? Ain't no other way to come, and
you say, that's why I come the way He told me to come. I tell you, this is the record
that God has given to us. And I'll tell you something else
that rejoices our hearts, to find out that Christ is the end
of them all for righteousness to everyone that believes. Not
doing, but believing. Oh, the substitutionary death
of Christ, that Christ bore my sin. That rejoices the heart. And I tell you what, you know
what God said? He said he'd take his word and write it on our
hearts, didn't he, Gary? Write it on our hearts. Oh, he's
gonna just write them on there. Oh my. And then know this rejoices
the heart. Not only does it rejoices the
heart, but you know what it's gonna end up doing? And enter
into an everlasting joy. That's what it's gonna do. And
then look, But the next thing it says here in verse 8, the
commandment of the Lord is pure. The commandment of the Lord is
pure. And this, the commandment of the Lord is pure, that means
it's clear. That means it's, that it's clear. When something's
pure, everybody wants something. I want, you know, saying, I want
the pure of this and I want the pure of that and I want this
pure and that pure and I don't want it if it ain't got this
much purity in it and all that. And they say, well, this is 100%
pure. Well, listen, the commandment of the Lord It's sure and it's
pure. I mean it's clear. It's just
open. It's clear. It's without darkness. It's without dross. And I'll
tell you something else, not only is it pure, but it purifies
them that it comes to. It purifies their hearts, it
purifies their minds, it purifies their conscience. And I tell
you what, even while you're listening to it sometimes, you'll feel
its effect purifying you from things that you thought and felt
over the last few days or just recently. It'll come and purify
you. Oh my! And the means, look what
else it says. Not only is it pure, it's clear
without darkness, purifying to those who receive it and believe
it, but it enlightens the eyes. What does that mean? That means
it opens the eyes. That means it puts light on things. You know, when you're looking
at something, and the command of the Lord is pure, and then
your eyes are opened, and your eyes are enlightened, and you
see. You say, I see. It's like all the men that Christ
opened their eyes, and they said, I see. One fellow said, after
the Lord touched him, he said, I see men and trees walking.
Our Lord touched him again, and he saw nothing but men. So he enlightens our eyes, and
all the things that he enlightened our eyes to. We see Christ, we
see sin, but thank God we see sin put away. We see righteousness,
where? In Christ. We see truth in Christ. Oh my, He's enlightened our eyes.
I've told you this story before, years and years ago over at Tim
James. was over back when he had his
conferences every October. There's a woman there, she'd
been in Tim's church for quite a while, a long time. And Brother
Henry asked Doris, said, honey, would you go get me a cup of
coffee? We're standing outside. And you know, we hadn't went
in the meeting yet. Would you bring me a cup of coffee? Well,
this woman heard him say that, and it made her mad. Why didn't
he get up and go get his own coffee? Why does he got to have
his wife go get her coffee? I don't care to get anybody a
cup of coffee. I'll get you one if you want. I'll bring it to
you. But that upset her to no end. She got mad, and she left
before the service was over. She got back in her car and come
back. And she come through there and Henry was preaching. No,
no, that's not happened. She came back the next night.
Came back the next night. And she, she stood up and she
said, told what she'd done, how she got angry. And she says,
now I see, I see things I ain't never seen. That she got angry
and God used that to open her heart to the truth about herself.
Her eyes were enlightened. She's a, you know, a woman liver
and got saved by the grace of God. Oh, she just stood up and she
said, Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I see now. I see now. And then look what
else it says about the word of the Lord. Look what it says in
verse nine, the fear of the Lord, the fear of the Lord. You know,
when the scriptures talks about the fear of the Lord, he's talking
oftentimes, he mentions when you talk about the fear of the
Lord, it's mentioned as true religion. They that are in the
fear of the Lord, they walk in the fear of the Lord. And the
fear of the Lord, he often is referred to as true religion.
Sometimes the fear of the Lord is put in the place of trust
and a salvation of walking in fear of the Lord. Let me show
you what I talk about. Look in Acts chapter nine. Acts chapter
9. Look here in Acts chapter 9.
I'm going to show you something here if I can, if I can show
you. There in verse 31. The fear of the Lord. This, you
know, and it's this awe and reverence we have for Him. And you know
the fear of the Lord produces true religion. Sometimes it's
put, means trust and salvation. And Cornelius feared the Lord.
But look what it said here in verse 31 of Acts 9. then had the churches rest throughout
all Judea and Galilee and Samaria and were edified, and listen
to this, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort
of the Holy Ghost. And I tell you what, and look
what else it says about the fear of the Lord back over here in
chapter 19. Look what it says, the fear of
the Lord it's clean, it's clean, You know, not only is it clean,
but it'll make us clean. He said, our Lord Jesus says,
you are clean through the word which I've spoken unto you. Father,
sanctify him through thy word. Thy word is truth, and it'll
make us clean. And look what else it says, and
it will endure forever. You know, when a man fears the
Lord, it will endure as long, the fear of the Lord in him will
endure as long as he endures. As long as he lives on this earth,
he'll have that fear of the Lord. And that fear of the Lord makes
him walk different, makes him think different, makes him act
different. And the people that don't, you
know, that's one of the things that God says that this generation
don't know nothing about. There's no fear of God before
their eyes. And then look what else it says
here. I've got to hurry on. In verse 9, the judgments of
the Lord are true and righteous altogether. The judgments of
the Lord are true and they're righteous. Now, this judgment
of the Lord, why they're true and righteous is because they
come from infinite wisdom. God lays truth to the plumb line. And let me ask you a question.
Has God ever passed judgment that wasn't true and right that
you can find anywhere on this earth? When he cast Adam out
of the garden, was his judgment true? Was his judgment right?
When he set the flood and destroyed everything on the earth, was
his judgment true? Were they right? When he nailed
his son to a cross and judged him and punished him and caused
him to die, was his judgment true and were they right? When
God made him to be sin who knew no sin, when the Lord laid on
him the iniquities of all, when he was wounded for our transgressions,
when he made his soul an orphan for sin, were God's judgments
right? Were they true? Huh? Oh, my. I tell you, beloved, they're right. Let me hurry up
here. Let me give you this. Let me
give you the value of God's Word. Let me show you the value of
God's Word. Look at the value of God's Word. Look what he says
in verse 10. Here's the value of God's Word. God's people value
God and their relationship with God above everything else in
this world. And that's what this is saying.
They value God and His Word more than they do gold. gold oh my they they want their
they value their relationship with god more than all the wealth
in the world in fact our lord said if you if you gain the whole
world and lose your soul what will it profit you but that's
what he's saying here god's word god's truth god's blessed word
is more desired than much gold and even the finest gold that
they are pure knowing no drops in it whatsoever Oh, you see,
gold is of the earth. Grace comes from heaven. Gold
is just for time. Grace is for eternity. And what
men value here, God says we'll walk on it there. I was tickled to death just to
get tar and chip on my road. And then when they put blacktop
on Flynn's Cove Road, I was really uptapped. But now you think about
how much we value good roads down here. And people go on and
on about gold. And I tell you something, God
said that's what we go walk on when we get to glory. Huh? Listen, you know what God thinks
of gold? He gonna let His children walk
on it. And you know what? It ain't even
gonna be valuable to us. You know what's gonna be valuable
to us? Christ. Seeing Him and enjoying Him.
Ain't that right? And then look what He says, in
all the pleasures and delight that it has. When we receive
God's Word by faith, look what it says, sweeter than honey in
the honeycomb. Oh, ain't the word of God sweet
to your soul sometimes? Oh, don't it just delight you
and taste so good? And said, man, that was the best
meal. What a good meal that, how sweet that was to me. And
it's sweeter than honey and the comb that drips with the honey. Oh, Jeremiah said, thy words
were found. What'd you do with them? I ate
them. I ate them. And look what else it says. I
love this right here. Moreover in verse 11, Moreover
by them is thy servant warned. Now you notice who it says is
warned here? Not everybody. He said your servant. All of us here claim to be servants
of God, bond slaves of Christ. Moreover by the word of God is
thy servant warned. Warned. Oh God! Ain't you grateful
that God warns you? Warns you and tells you. You
know, it warns of sin, it warns of danger. and the dangers that
we're to avoid. You know, He Himself taught us,
Lord, lead us not into temptation. Don't let us, don't you let,
don't lead us into temptation. But oh, He warns us, He warns
us what to not do, and He warns us what to avoid, and He warns
us of the things that we're not to be and the places we're not
to go. He warns us of judgment, and
I tell you when it says, Moreover, by them thy servant is warned,
that means that they take it to heart. He warns them and they
take it to heart. They take it for themselves.
It ain't this, I wish so-and-so would have been here. That message
there would have assured the heaven and hell. Listen, I'm
here for myself. When the preacher's preaching,
I'm sitting there listening to what God's got to say to me.
Ain't that the way it is with you? Oh, my soul! And then look what he says, and
more was the servant warned, and in keeping of them there's
great reward. You know what the greatest reward
of keeping the Word of God is? Is the Word itself and believing. And when you do it, there's a
great reward in it. The reward is in the Word itself. Oh, it's in the Word itself,
just what we've dealt with tonight. What a reward. What a reward
that God comes and blesses us through His Word. And oh, the
knowledge of salvation, the Word that we were awarded with grace,
and the election of Christ. Oh, the reward of the Word and
what it gives us and brings to us. And oh my, look at its effects. Not only the value of God's Word,
the titles of God's Word, but look at its effects upon God's
people. Look what it says there in verse 12. Who can understand
his errors? That's a question. Who can understand
his errors? I can't. I can't. You know, most of you wives and
most of you husbands, now let me just put it down here where
we live it. You can say, can't you see that about yourself?
We can see one another's errors, but we can't see our own. And
that's what the scriptures is telling us here, who can understand
his own errors. If we understood our own errors,
we'd do something about it. But you know, I'll tell you somebody
that does know who they are and what they are. God knows them.
God knows them, huh? Oh, I can't. The law's wholly
just and good. But oh, God knows my errors. Gods can expose them errors. And I can't understand the sinfulness
of them, but God does. And that's why we go to Him,
is because we can't understand. And Lord, you know me. You know
me, huh? And then look what he says, who
can understand these earths? So what do we do? We pray. Cleanse thou me from secret thoughts. Cleanse me from them, Lord. And
I'll tell you what, go to the throne of grace and say, Lord,
cleanse me. Cleanse me from these. And then
it says the secret thoughts. Now they may, you know, we have
things that we're not even aware of until God exposes them to
us. Now that's right, I'm telling you the truth. You don't even
know you're wrong and sometimes God will come along and show
you that you're wrong and you weren't even aware of it. And
he says, when we find out that we have these errors, we say,
Lord, cleanse thou me from my secret faults. Nobody else can
cleanse me. But I'll tell you something about
these errors and these secret things. They're not secret to
him. May even be secret to us and
others and that's why I say, cleanse me and I shall be whiter
than snow. And then look what else he says
there in verse 13. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous
sins. Presumptuous sins. What's a presumptuous
sin? Well, let's see. David committed
two when he took Bathsheba and had Uriah. Simon Peter when he
Decided he's gonna straighten the Lord out and said when the
Christ said he must go up to Jerusalem He said go be it far
from you Lord that was a presumptuous sin and then when he told the
Lord and Lord told him said the roaster is gonna crow and You're
gonna deny me three times for the rooster crowing. Oh, no,
no. No, I'll even die with you. That's
a presumptuous sin to think that he could do something by his
own strength and to presume upon the Lord himself and to straighten
Christ out? Oh, what presumption! And he
says, Keep thy servant back from presumptuous sin, sins that I
think is not sins to me. You let me know what my sins
are. If they're presumptuous, Keep me from sins of infirmity,
sins against light, sins against love, sins against knowledge,
sins against conscience, things that's offensive to God. And
then look what he says again in verse 13. Let them not have
dominion over me. And that word dominion means
have power over me, rule over me. Don't let sin have dominion
over me. Don't let sin be commanding me. Don't let me be enslaved to it. And look what he says, and when
that don't happen, if you'll keep me back from these presumptuous
sins, don't let them have dominion over me. You know what I'll be?
I'll be upright. And you'll have to, if you do
this for me and hear me when I ask you, I'll be upright. I'll
be upright. I'll be upright in heart. I'll
be upright in walk, upright in my conversation. Having been
cleansed, let our conversation be as it becomes the gospel.
And then look what he says in verse 13, sentence in it. I shall be innocent from the
great transgression. If you keep me back from these
errors, secret faults, and presumptuous sins, and don't let them have
dominion over me, I'll be innocent from the great transgression.
What's the great transgression? We talked about this over there
about the sin unto death. God said there's six things I
hate, yea, seven are an abomination. You know what the first thing
he hates is? Just a proud look. Pride. Pride. an apostasy. That's a great transgression.
Right on there. Oh, to fall away. And before the end comes there's
going to be a grave falling away. And then the great transgression
sins against the Holy Ghost and of a multitude of transgressions.
God keep me innocent from the great transgression. Now look
what he says and then I'll close. And this is the last note in
his song. Let the words of my mouth, what
I've said, the heavens declare the glory of God. The law of
the Lord is perfect, converting the soul. Oh Lord, let the words
of my mouth, the things that I've said, and the meditation
of my heart, where these things went through my heart, these
things I thought of in my heart, these things that mean something
to my heart, something that's touched my heart. May it be acceptable,
these words, and what I've thought in my heart, may they be acceptable
in your sight. Lord, would you receive them?
Would you make them acceptable? And then look what he says. Oh
Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Oh my. Father, in the blessed
name, glorious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Lord, indeed, your
law is perfect, perfect, pure, and commandments are pure. Oh,
they enlighten our eyes. We can see. We can see. And Lord,
keep us seeing. Keep us believing. Keep us looking. Keep us seeing. Keep us seeing
you. Keep us seeing you. Not ourselves.
Oh, nothing in ourselves. In our hands, nothing we bring.
Oh, but oh, the righteousness of Christ, that's who we bring.
Him himself, Christ himself. Thank you for allowing us to
meet here tonight. Bless your word to our hearts.
Bless your word to our souls. And may these things be real,
vital in our hearts and in our lives. We ask in Christ's holy
name. Amen.
