First John chapter 5. Don't forget we're going to have
dinner here Sunday. First just for us as a congregation. It was certainly a blessing that
kitchen was during the meeting. Oh my, what a blessing. James
just gave me a bulletin that Barb gave him. The bulletin said that we would
be in this building the next week or something like that. That's a long time ago. It was
in 1990, just 23rd of December. And we moved in this building
on January 6th, 1991. And that's when I made the announcement
when we'd be in it. Oh my, I think I'll just run
that by y'all again. Oh my, I was just delighted to
get that. That was wonderful. I enjoyed that so much. Alright,
I'm going to start reading at verse 13 and read to the end
of the chapter and hopefully finish up this book this evening.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name
of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life,
and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this
is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything
according to His will, He heareth us. And if we know that he hear
us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that
we desired of him. If any man see his brother sin
a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give
him life for that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death,
I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is
sin, but there is a sin not unto death. We know that whosoever
is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God keepeth
himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know
that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And
we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding,
that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that
is true. even in His Son, Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal
life. Little children, keep yourselves
from idols. Turn with me again here in John,
1 John 5. When I started reading, there
in verse 13, the apostle said, these are the reasons I've written
these things to you. that you believe on the name
of the Son of God, and believing that you have life, and that
you may know that you have that life. And then you know you have
that life, you always believe on the Son of God, always believe
on the Son of God. And then he started talking about
if we have this confidence that we believe on His name, We have
this confidence that we have in Him that if we ask anything,
if we pray and ask anything according to His will, and these three
words here, I told you when I first preached them, He hears us. He hears us. The holy and eternal
God who inhabits eternity, measures the waters in the hollow of His
hands, counts the nations as a drop in the bucket, and dwells
between the Jerobims and the Seraphims in the beauty of holiness
upon His throne, He hears us. And if we ask anything, we know
that He's going to hear our petitions that we desired of Him. And then
He shows us some things that was necessary to us to pray about
and to be watchful for. And He said here in verse 16,
If any man sees brother as the first thing, sin is sin. It's
a brother. If you see a brother, sin is
sin. Don't tell us what the sin is.
It doesn't make any difference. If we see a brother, sin is sin,
that's not unto death, that's not going to end up in his eternal
death and his separation from God, we can pray and ask, And
God will give him life, give him the comfort, the joy of his
salvation for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto
death, and that sin unto death is apostasy, denying Christ,
walking away from the gospel. And a believer cannot do either
one of those things. And blaspheming the Holy Ghost,
he cannot do those things. He cannot deny Christ. He cannot
deny the gospel. He cannot blaspheme the Holy
Ghost. A believer can't do it. He cannot do it. Christ is in
him and he can't do it. And then he says, all unrighteousness
is sin and there is a sin not unto death. And then he comes
down here and we have three we knows. Verse 18, we know. that
whosoever is born of God sinneth not. Talking about sinning, sinning
unto death, not unto death. We know that whosoever is born
of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God touches himself,
and that wicked one touches him not. And we know that we are
of God, and we know that the Son of God is come. John here
talks with He's dogmatic about these things. He speaks with
certainty. Certainty. And people don't like certainty
today. They don't like certainty. They
like to be able to left to their own opinions, their own feelings,
their own ideas. But John says, we know, we know,
and we know. And he said, we know these things.
No debate about it. We hope they are. We'd like for
them to be. We think they might be. It'd
be good if it did. But he is certain. He says, we
know. We know. And that's one thing
people can't stand is when you know something and you know it.
And you know you know it. You know, I've seen a few doctors
in my lifetime, psychiatrists, psychologists, and after they
see me for a while, they say, boy, everything's black and white
to you, ain't it? There ain't no gray matter for you. And I
said, no, that's right. Everything's black and white
to me. It was to Johnny. I said, we know. Not, I hope
so, I think so, and I hope it's this way. He said, we know. And
here's the first thing that he knows. And that's the title of
my message. We know, we know, and we know. Look what he says
here. We know that whosoever is born
of God sinneth not. Now, first thing you know, he
talks about being born of God. You know, I got down to concordance
today and looked at how many times he talked about being born
of God in this five chapters. He talked about being born of
God seven times. And seven, of course, is complete
or perfection. I don't think that was an intentional
thing on his part, but he mentions so many times of being born of
God. We know we're born of God, but
when you pass from death unto life, we know we're born of God.
Here in verse one, he talks about he that believeth that Jesus
is the Christ is born of God. He said in verse four, for whatsoever
is born of God overcometh the world. So he mentions being born
of God seven times. He makes a distinction between
those that are born of God and those that are. Those that are
believers and those who are make-believers. And he makes a difference here,
a distinction in that. And he says this, Whosoever is
born of God sinneth not. And that word sinneth means here
in verse 18, that means that he does not live a life of sin. Sineth means continuing to do
something. He that believeth, believeth
is always in the present tense. Sineth here is always in the
present tense. He does not live a life of sin. He's born of God. He does not live, the world lives
a life of sin. But we, the believers, born of
God, do not live a life of sin. Now, it's not to say that we
don't sin, because if we didn't sin, we wouldn't have to ask
forgiveness of sin. We wouldn't ask for cleansing
from our sin. We wouldn't repent of our sin.
But when it says here, he sinneth not, that means that's not his
life. Sinneth, continually sinning,
living a life of sin. His life is different. His tenor
of life is different. The Scriptures makes it very
plain that if any man be in Christ, what is he? He's a new creation. And I mean he's a new creation.
God brings into existence a man who never existed before. He
brings into existence a creature who never lived before. And then
that new nature with that new creation, He gives him a new
nature. He's made partakers of the divine nature. It's Christ
in him. That's the hope of glory. He's
begotten of the seed of God. That's what he says, he's begotten
of God. God gives him a new heart, with new loves, new desires,
a new will. Oh my, he does things for, I
mean, he changes, the new birth, regeneration is so radical. I mean, it takes people that
once hated God, and wanted nothing to do with God, and turns them
around, and that's all they want to know is God. They spend their
life seeking God. They spend their life going after
Christ. They was happy in religion to
complete, you know, and didn't bother. But listen, when God
comes and regenerates a man, not only is it radical, but it's
not reversible. It ain't gonna be undone. Oh,
look over here in verse 9 of chapter 3. This is what I'm talking
about. We know those that are born of God, they sinneth not. Look what he says here now in
verse 9. This is one of them things that
I'm telling you, watch, it just makes it so plain. Whosoever
is born of God doth not commit sin. Why not? Because his seed, whose seed?
Christ's seed, God's seed. He calls us his seed in Isaiah.
Calls us his seed in Jeremiah. Calls us his seed in Genesis. Calls us his seed, the righteous
seed. And look what he goes on to say.
For his seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin. And he mentions
being born of God here twice. And he cannot sin because he's
born of God. Now this is one of the greatest
mysteries. And this is why people have such a hard time unless
God regenerates them and gives them a new birth. They cannot
understand that there's a person in us that cannot sin. He cannot
sin. Christ in me cannot sin. Christ
in me refuses to sin. There's a holy person in me that
cannot sin. And then there's an old man in
me A flesh in me that can not do nothing but sin. And that's
where the warfare comes in. You didn't have any trouble with
sin until you got converted. You didn't have any trouble with
the flesh until you got converted. Ain't that right? You never had
any problem with your thoughts until God saved you. Your thoughts,
you just say, well, God, that don't make no difference what
you think. After you get saved by the grace of God, he regenerates
you. Yes, you start thinking about, oh my goodness, did I
let that thought go through my mind? Oh God, forgive me for
even letting me think such a thing. That's what he's talking about,
being born of God. And oh beloved, he has God's
seed in him. He can't sin. It's the incorruptible
seed. Ain't that what's called incorruptible
seed? And if God's nature's in us,
how can God's nature's in us sin? And that's why, you know,
that's why we want to go to glory because we'll be there one day
and we'll see Him and love Him and worship Him with an unsinning
heart. That's our blessed hope, that's
our blessed future, that one of these days, this new nature
in us, this holy nature in us, will one day be done with this
old nature, and we will delight in Him the way we want to with
this nature we have now, and there'll be no sin involved in
it. And who is it that sinneth not? He that's born of God. Huh? Oh, we know that it's those that
are regenerated by the grace and power of God. Christ is formed
in them, made partakers of the divine nature. And look what
he said here in verse, going on through verse 18. But he that
is begotten of God, God begat him. What did He begat us with?
With by His own will, He begat us with the word of truth. Huh? Oh my. They don't and won't
sin under death. When it talked about a sin unto
death there, they don't and won't sin unto death. You look at the
people, Peter, he sinned a grievous sin, but it wasn't unto death.
David sinned a grievous sin, but it wasn't unto death. Abraham
was caught in two lies, but it wasn't a sin unto death. And
I tell you what, we won't ever sin that sin unto death and we'll
not fall away. Those who have been saved by
the grace of God, those who have been born of God, They will never
deny the gospel of substitution. They'll never, never deny free
grace. And I tell you what, and then
look what it says here. He's begotten of God, and then
look what it says. He keepeth himself. He keeps himself. And that wicked one toucheth
him not. Now I was looking today at a couple of things. And the RV says here that He
that is begotten of God, that's Christ, that He is the One who
is the Keeper. That Christ is the Keeper. Now
we understand that if God does not keep us, we can't keep ourselves. But here He's talking about keeping
ourselves in a particular way. It's not us viewing ourselves
and thinking I can do this or I can do that. What it amounts
to is we keep ourselves in the fear of God. Now you think about
the fear of God. The fear of God keeps me from
doing things, saying things, and going places that I'd go
if I wasn't afraid of God. And here's the reason why. Because
I think if I do certain things and act certain ways, that'll
make me believe that I'm not even a child of God. And that
fear of God in me, that fear makes me keeps me believing and
looking to Christ because I'm afraid that I'll end up proving
that I don't know Christ if I do certain things and act certain
ways. And you understand what I'm saying? That fear of God.
I fear God. I don't want to miss Christ.
I don't want to miss salvation. And I don't want to prove to
be an apostate when it's all said and done. When Paul said,
I don't want to be a castaway, and that's what he's talking
about. He keepeth himself, because he fears God. Keeps himself in
the fear of God. Oh Lord, you're holy and you're
righteous and you know me. And he keeps himself in the faith
of Christ. Keeps himself believing Christ.
Oh, keeps himself where the faith of Christ is preached. Keeps
himself looking to Christ. If he finds himself cold and
lifeless and dull, the only people that's interested in being cold
and lifeless and dull, and it bothers them, is believers. Hypocrites
could not care less. But when you get lifeless, you
get cold, you get indifferent, And you, it starts troubling
you. It bothers your heart. It troubles
your mind. Why is that? Because you want
to believe Christ and you think your heart ought to be on fire
for Christ. But it ain't always that way. Huh? And they keep
themselves where the gospel is preached. They know themselves
and they know that if they don't go and hear the gospel preached
and be encouraged in the gospel, be encouraged in the word, they
know themselves and they know what they'll do. So they keep
themselves where the gospel is preached. And they keep themselves
in fellowships with other believers because they know that world
out there has nothing for them and nothing going to be given
to them from it. And oh, and that word keep, he keepeth himself.
You know what that means? That means to watch over. That
means to persevere. That means to keep watch. And oh my. And if Christ don't
keep watch over us, we won't keep watch over ourselves either. We won't do any of that either.
If Christ don't keep watch over us, we ain't got the sense to
keep watch over ourselves. Ain't that right? And then look
what he says there in verse nine. Here's another one. And then
he says, and that wicked down there in verse 18, and that wicked
one touches him not. And that wicked one touches him
not. That means the devil himself,
Satan himself. And this word touch, it means
to fasten to. When you touch, they fasten to
him. Cling to, laid hold of. And he said he keeps himself
so the devil don't cling to you, don't lay hold on you, don't
hold fast to you. Let me give you an illustration
if I can. John 20 and verse 17. That wicked
one ain't gonna touch him. Ain't gonna cling to him. Ain't
gonna separate him from Christ. Not gonna separate him from the
Lord Jesus Christ. And that wicked one don't touch
him, ain't gonna fasten to him. You know it's like when Satan
Went went into the presence of God and God asked him if you
ever considered you considered my servant Joe a perfect and
an upright man who eschews evil He said oh listen Said he would
cuss you to your face if you let me have at him for a little
while God said you can have him You can do certain things, but
don't touch it. Don't cling to it. That's what
he told Don't you touch it this or that the other you can you
can abuse his body, but you leave everything else alone But look
what it said here in Matthew 20, 17. Our Lord Jesus has risen
from the dead. Mary is the first one to go see.
And she said in verse 16, Mary, Jesus saith unto her, Mary, she
turned herself and saith unto him, rabboni, which is say master. Jesus saith unto her, touch me
not, don't cling to me. Don't cling to me, don't fasten
yourself to me, don't lay hold on me. Hold on me right now in
my physical body. For I'm not yet ascended to my
father. So don't hold me, I gotta go
back to glory. So do you know you're gonna live
by faith here, you're gonna have to go by faith now. But go to
my brethren, say unto them, I send unto my father and your father,
to my God and your God. So here's the next no, we know. So we know who's born of God,
sinneth not. He doesn't live like the world. He's obeyed from the heart, that
form of doctrine that's been delivered to him. And then in
verse 19, it says this, and we know that we're of God and the
whole world lies in wickedness. And that's another thing he says,
we know How can you know you're of God? How can you know? Well,
our Lord Jesus Christ, we'll get to that in a minute. How
do we know we're? Well, I know this, we're not
what we were, and bless God, we're not what we're gonna be.
And I'm telling you, and here's how we know we're of God. We
know this, that salvation's of the Lord. We know that. You know,
those that know God and are of God, they know this, that salvation
is of the Lord. They know that salvation is all
of grace. They know that salvation is what
God does for us, not what we do for Him. And we know that
salvation and everything that's accomplished is done that God
gets all the glory. We know that. That's how we know
we're of God. God gets all the glory. We want
God to get all the glory. We attribute everything that
happens, our salvation from start to finish. We know we are of
God because we know that our salvation from start to finish
is all of the Lord. From eternity past until He takes
us into eternity. Our whole salvation is of the
Lord. And then look what He says, And the whole world lies in wickedness. Now let me ask you a question.
You know, they make so, so much about God so loved the world
that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Now they
say when it talks about the world there, it means the whole world,
everybody in the world. Well, is this world here one
that Christ died for? You know, there's the world of
God's elect, and then there's the world that lies in wickedness.
And that's what he means, it lies in the wicked one, controlled
by the devil, controlled by Satan. And all this wicked one, I mean,
it's obvious that the world's controlled by Satan, by the devil. It's obvious, I mean, it's as
plain as the nose on your face. especially in religion, especially
in politics, in almost all the universities. Man, they don't
teach anything worth listening to. And that wicked one, he calls
the whole world lies in wickedness, lies in the wicked one. And oh,
listen, I'll tell you something. That wicked one, he has allurements,
he has attractions, and what he wants to do is draw men away
from God. He really wants to draw a man
away from God. It's like our Lord Jesus Christ
said, he said, the strong man arm, his goods are in peace until
a stronger man comes and spoils his goods. Well, Christ is the
strong man arm, the stronger than the strong man arm, and
he comes and destroys and takes away his goods. And I tell you
what, beloved, I tell you, He's always watching. He's always
after. He'd rather get somebody to deny
Christ and draw them away from Christ. And I tell you, some
people, it don't take much. But you know, when we have trials
and difficulties, and they lie ahead of us, there's two things
we need to know. And Satan wants to touch us.
This wicked one wants to touch us. He wants to allure. He's
an angel of light. And if he can't get us with an
angel of light, he'll scare us to death with the roar of a lion.
But he has allurements, and he calls them about using bait.
But there's two things we always need to remember is this. First
of all, we're of God. God's with him. God's defeated
him. We are of God. Oh, we're of God. We're born
of God, loved of God, redeemed by God, called of God, sons of
God, seated in Christ. And oh beloved, the second thing
is, is that the world has no place for us. We do not covet
anything the world's got. We don't cover it's silver, we
don't cover it's gold, we don't cover it's ambition, we don't
cover it's honors, we don't covet anything from the world. Christ
is enough for us. You have to make a living in
it, but I tell you what, when you go out there to make a living
in it, you're certainly glad to be back home, and you're certainly
grateful that you know God when you have to work in the mess,
in this old world. Huh? Oh my. All right, here's
the third thing. We know, we know, and we know. And that's what he said in verse
20. And we know that the Son of God
has come. We know that the Son of God has
come. And that's what John talks about us believing on the Son
of God. We know that the Son of God has
come, that He's come in the flesh. He who was sinless came into
a sin-cursed world. He that's light and lit up heaven
itself came into a world of darkness. He who was heaven's delight and
His Father's delight came into this world to be despised and
rejected. He who was perfect in all of
his being came into this world to do a work. God gave him a
work to do. And our Lord Jesus Christ came
here to work And you know what the work He's come in this world
to do? Was to save us. Save sinners. And how in the world is He going
to save us? He will come to work out our
salvation. How did He do it? First of all,
He obeyed His Father perfectly. Infinitely. Eternally. He always
pleased His Father. He obeyed His Father even unto
death. And then he suffered. He suffered from the day he was
born until the day he died. He suffered. He suffered poverty. He suffered Sin? He suffered
living in a world that's so contrary to His holy nature. It's like
a woman putting on a beautiful, a virgin having on a beautiful
white gown and she's getting ready to get married, but she
can't get to her husband without going through a mud hole and
getting mud all over it. Well, Christ, we're His bride
and He come into this world in His holiness and His purity.
And beloved, He, only way He can save us is identifying with
us and being one with us and suffer. Oh, He suffered. And
then He suffered even unto death, the death of the cross. And oh,
He did that to give us this glorious salvation, this blessed salvation,
free salvation. And I tell you this is why I
love this and I know you do too and we've talked about it and
it's been preached here so many times by so many people. That
our salvation is entirely of Christ, by Christ, and because
of Christ. It does not depend on us one
iota. The salvation was done and our
faith didn't make it done. We believe because He done a
work of salvation for us. As many as were ordained to eternal
life, what'd they do? They believed. And our Lord Jesus
Christ came here and our salvation is perfect, it's complete, it's
accomplished. You know what we do? We believe
it. And we're gonna rest in it. And
we're gonna give Him all the glory for it. I tell you what, I don't, you
know, we clip our fingernails, I don't even want a tiny clip
of my fingernails to enter into my salvation. You know, I want
my whole being, everything, to attribute salvation to Christ
and Christ alone. And then look what it says, we
know the Son of God has come, and listen to this, and hath
given us an understanding. How in the world do we know anything
spiritual? How do we have any understanding
at all, any spiritual understanding? Where did we get it from? He
come and gave it to us. Keep this and look in John 6.44
with me. I could quote this, but I want
you to see it. John 6.44. You know, He hath come and given
us an understanding. You know how many times did He
take His disciples and say, He would give them an understanding.
He'd say, you know, He had to explain to them what He was talking
about. Well, our Lord hath come and given us an understanding.
Look what it says here. This is the understanding He
came with. No man can come to me except
the Father will see me draw him. He gave us that understanding.
When we get up here and preach, that's why we're not begging
folks to come to the front. That's why we're not getting
folks to come to an altar. That's why we're not talking
to people to make a choice for Jesus and decide for Jesus. Because
no man can come. How's he going to get there?
The Father has to draw him. And then he said, and I'll raise
him up at the last day. Now watch this. It is written
in the prophets. And they shall be all taught
of God. Who's going to teach them? Christ is. The Holy Spirit
is. And listen to this. Every man
therefore that hath heard and hath learned of the Father. You
know what he does? He comes to me. So he come and
give us that understanding. This is eternal life that they
might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou
hast sent. He gave us an understanding of
God. Of God? We would never know God
if Christ hadn't given us an understanding. We would have
never known He was God if He hadn't given us an understanding.
He gave us an understanding of Himself. Of who He is. What He did. Who He did it for. He gave us an understanding of
ourselves. Oh, I don't know anymore about
myself. I know enough about myself I
don't need to know anymore. I don't like it at all. Listen, what I know about me,
I don't like at all. And He taught us and gave us
an understanding of His oneness with the Father. He gave us an
understanding of the truths of the Gospel. gave us understanding
of the truths of the gospel. And all the truths of the gospel
is, is that three R's. This is so easy to remember. Here's one way of remembering
the gospel. Ruling by saying R. Ruined by sin. Not just crippled. Not just lame. Not just blind
in one eye. Some eyeglasses are fiction.
No, no. Not some, you know, you don't
need crutches. Ruined by sin. That means that
your sin has ruined you in the presence of God, ruined your
relationship with God, and ruined your standing before God. You're
ruined by sin. Secondly it is, that we're redeemed. by the blood the Lord Jesus Christ
came into this world and he laid his down life down for the sheep
and he redeemed his sheep we've been redeemed by his blood he
had to pay for us he had to pay our debt and to pay our debt
it was the shedding of his blood and without shedding of blood
no remission and since we was ruined by sin and we're redeemed
by the blood the Holy Spirit comes then and regenerates us
and gives us life, so now we're raised up from the death of our
sins and the ruin of our sin, because he paid for us by his
blood, and then he comes and regenerates us and gives us life,
and we're born of God, and then we understand how this is always
God's will and purpose. He gave us that understanding.
He gave us the understanding of the mysteries of grace. And
then look what he says here on down in here in this verse, that
we may know him that it's true. Oh my, know the true God? We won't, you know, I won't even
turn on a television and listen to a lion preacher. Why would
I watch one on television if I won't go to a service and listen
to one? I don't even want to hear a lion preacher on TV. I
don't care how good he looks, and I don't care how pretty his
gown is, and I don't care what kind of hat he wears on his head,
it don't make no difference. That we may know Him that is
true. We know God. The true God. The one true and
living God. We know Christ who is the true
Savior. We know Christ and we know the
Word that is true. And look what it says here now.
And we are in Him. Not only do we know Him, but
we're in Him. How do we get in Him? Of God are you in Christ
Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification,
and redemption. We're in Him, not only we know
Him, but we're in Him. And what is this that we're in? Even in His Son, Jesus Christ,
that's who we're in. And then he says, who is this
Jesus Christ? Who is this that we're in? Who
is this one that we know? Who is this that gave us the
understanding? He says in the last sentence
here, this is the true God. Who is Jesus Christ? The true
God and he himself is eternal life. Huh? Oh my, we're in Christ by the
will of God, in Christ on purpose, in Christ by faith. And then
look at the last verse. Little children, I'm going to
go back later, maybe next week, and I'm going to bring a couple
of messages from the whole thing. I know one that I've got on my
mind I want to bring out of here, but he says, little children,
Oh, what a title of affection, what a term of affection, little
children. Now he's talking to old folks,
middle-aged folks. He's talking to old gray-headed
people and young strong men. But he said, little children,
keep yourselves from idols. Keep yourself from false gods.
That's what he means. Keep yourself from false gods.
Keep yourself from anything or anyone. that would occupy the
place in your heart that's only due God. Only due God. Have you all ever went by these
places and they have statues, you know, around their house
and Mary and these angels and stuff like that? Listen, I don't
want any kind of image of an angel. Give me a... I don't care if
I have a statue of liberty, I'll take that. Give me a statue,
I'll take that. Give me a, give me a, a, a, a,
a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a,
a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a,
a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a,
a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a,
a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, Keep yourselves from traditions.
Keep yourself from superstitions. Keep yourself from images. God
said, don't make no image of me in heaven, in earth, in the
sea. No image of me. No kind of image. You don't know what I look like,
so don't make no image of me. That's what he said. And keep
yourself from religious practices and observances that so-called
Christians would have you to observe. If things aren't according
to the scriptures and glorifying God, stay away from it. Stay
away from it. Would you agree with that? Yep. Told you I was going to
tell that fella that always has all them preachers on over there
at Tangier all the time. I was going to tell him, you
know, that he's listening to false prophets. I said, don't.
He had one on. They got one on on everything.
They put them on all the TVs when they're in there. All the
TVs. And they got this Jew guy they like to listen to. And he
got a thing around him and got a cross in each one of his things
on here. But I told him one day, I said,
do you know that that guy that you're listening to right there
is a false prophet? I said, he's lying on God right now. And he
just walked off. But I told him. And I'm going
to tell him again. He's being lied to. And I can't
stand it. I don't want to hear that. I
don't, I don't want to hear it. Little children, keep yourselves
from idols. We know, we know, and we know. Huh? We know, we know that we
know, don't we, James? Our Father, blessed be your name. Oh, blessed be your name. Thank
you for your word, your word. Oh, such life-giving power. Such
assurance, such comfort, such light, such understanding that
Your Word gives us. Oh, it stirs our heart, it stirs
our soul, enlightens our understanding. Oh, it does such wonders for
us, such wonders for us in our heart, in our mind. Such wonders
for us as we face our day-to-day lives. And Lord, these people
have to go, and they have to get up in the morning and go
to work, have to labor out there in the world. And I thank you
for them. I thank you that they do that,
and they do their responsibilities, and honor you in doing it. But,
oh Lord, keep them, and preserve them, and encourage them, and
strengthen them. And Lord, I thank you for these
dear saints. Oh, God, thank you. Please meet
all of our needs. Save sinners in this place, we
ask in Christ's name. Amen. Amen.
