We're going to find out, we know
he's great. One of these days we're going
to find out what he's really like. Enjoy him forever. We enjoy him now, but oh, what
a day it'll be when we enjoy him forever. Get your girls to
sing. Open with me to Exodus 14, and
I want to remind you we'll have a picnic at our house next Saturday,
and we'll do our best to feed you very good. Surely will. I won't. Exodus 14. Read the first 14
verses. And the Lord spake unto Moses,
saying, God never speaks directly to people. He always speaks through
a mediator. Our Lord Jesus Christ, the mediator. The Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel. that they turn and encamp before
Pi-Hi-Hi-Roth between Migdal and the sea, over against Baal-Zephan,
before it ye shall encamp by the sea. For Pharaoh will say
of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the
wilderness hath shut them in. And I will harden Pharaoh's heart,
that he shall follow after them, and I will be honored upon Pharaoh
and upon all his hosts, that the Egyptians may know that I
am the Lord." And they did so. And it was told the king of Egypt
that the people fled. And the heart of Pharaoh and
of his servants were turned against the people and they said, why?
Why have we done this that we have let Israel go from serving
us? And he made ready his chariot
and took his people with him. And he took 600 chosen chariots
of Egypt, and captains over every one of them. And the Lord hardened
the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And he pursued after the
children of Israel, and the children of Israel went out with a high
hand. But the Egyptians pursued after them all the horses and
chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them
in camping by the sea. beside Pihiroth and Baal-ziphon. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the
children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians
marched after them, and they were sore afraid. And the children
of Israel cried out unto the Lord, and they said unto Moses,
Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us
away to die in the wilderness? Wherefore hast thou thus with
us to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we
did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve
the Egyptians? For it had been better for us
to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.
And Moses said unto the people, Fear not, stand still, and see
the salvation of the Lord. which he will show you today
after the Egyptians, for the Egyptians whom you have seen
today, you shall see them again no more. The Lord shall fight
for you and you shall hold your peace." I've seen Brad and Pam's anniversary
is going to be this week and I remember I was in a meeting
at 13th Street when they got married and Tom Harding drove
me down here. We married them Turn around and
headed right back to Ashland. And I don't even know how many
years ago that's been. Oh, get out of here. Oh, my goodness. Well, congratulations to all
three of us. We made it. We've all made it 32 more years. Oh, the Lord's all y'all just
precious. Oh, you just don't know how precious
you are. Just don't know. Let's look here again in Exodus
14. The title of my subject this
morning or my message is Supernatural Salvation. Supernatural Salvation. Salvation is a supernatural work. It's something that only God
can do. It's a miracle. It takes a power
unknown to man until God actually works it in him. Salvation. I
know a lot of folks they want to make a decision. They want
to sign a card. They want to accept Jesus. But
when God saves a man, it's a supernatural act. And we see that clearly
here in Exodus 14. What God is doing is He is leading
the new nation of Israel out of Egypt into Canaan. And we have a typical picture
of God's dealing with His elect as He saves them in what He does
for Israel here. And He brings them out of Egypt
because He made a covenant with Abraham. and a promised Abraham
that they was going to go and be in bondage for 435 years and
he's going to bring them out. And God did that. And as we read
and deal with this subject today, we're confronted with what Isaiah
said. He says, My thoughts are not
your thoughts. Neither are my ways your ways.
So let the unrighteous man forsake his thoughts and let the wicked
man forsake his ways. Because he says, As the heavens
is high above the earth, so are my thoughts above yours. And
the way God deals with men, and what the Red Sea is, when they
go through the Red Sea, in the Old Testament, is to the new
believer, the New Testament believers, is the resurrection. And the
Holy Spirit, when He begins to convince a soul of sin, begins
to convince him of sin, and a man's going to know he's a sinner.
He's going to know that he has committed sins, He's going to
know that he is sin, and he's going to know that he's going
to repent of even his righteousness. He'll repent of his righteousness.
And then as he's convinced of sin, righteousness, and the judgment,
God, when he does that, he leads the soul into a true, true sense
of its emptiness, of its barrenness. And this has to happen. This
has to happen. And it will happen. It does happen
for anyone to ever ever appreciate the salvation of the Lord. If
you do something for God, and that's why God does something
for you, you never appreciate salvation. All you'll do is appreciate
what you did. But if God empties you, brings
you to know how barren and unable you are, you talking about blessing
God, you'll never stop saying in amazing grace how sweet the
sound that saved a wretch like me. You'll never get over that.
And you'll be so thankful for God's grace in Christ our Lord.
God will never hear the last of it. And when you get in eternity,
that's when he's gonna hear it, really hear it, when you praise
him for all eternity. But as God leads Israel into
the wilderness here to save them, and that's why he leads them
into wilderness here is to save them. First thing I want us to
look at is their helpless, helpless condition. Look here in verse
three of Exodus 14. Look what he says here. For Pharaoh
will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land,
the wilderness hath shut them in." Oh, what a helplessness!
That's what the enemy says about it. They're entangled in the
land, the wilderness has shut them in. Now, God, the Lord has
led them to this place. He's led them to this place where
the Red Sea and the wilderness, and no place else but wilderness
behind them. They're up against the sea, and
here comes the enemy, and God put them there. God put them
in this place just like a convicted sinner without hope. Look what
it says here in verse two. Speak unto the children of Israel
that they turn and encamp between Migdal and the sea. over against
Baal seafront, before it shall ye encamp by the sea." So they're
kept by the sea, huh? And that's why the Pharaoh says,
look, they ain't got nowhere to go. Now they're entangled
in the land. Where are they going to go? They're
shut in. They're in the land, and God
brought them to this place. And he made Pharaoh come out
after them just to show that salvation is going to be of the
Lord. If they're saved, God's got to save them. If they're
going to be saved, God himself's got to do a supernatural act
upon them. But these are like people that's
like a sinner that's been convicted of sin and he loses all hope
between himself. They were like a convicted sinner
shut up between the impossible broken law of God and the sea
of human inability. What are they going to do now?
Are they going to surrender to Pharaoh or are they going to
trust the Lord? And that's what happens. God brings a man and
a woman to the place that they see there's no way in the world
I can keep God's law. There's no way in the world I
can satisfy God. And over here, I don't have the
ability to save myself. So what in the world am I going
to do? And that's what Pharaoh said. They entangled in the land.
They're taken up and caught in the wilderness. Did God make
a mistake bringing them this, leading them into this trap?
And that's what is in a trap. The enemy's going to say, I got
them, I got them, I got them. But look what it says. You keep
this and look in Psalm 71, 11. God make a mistake here? Leading
them this way? Putting them up in this awful
place? Huh? Leading them into this trap? Look at Psalm 71 and verse 11. Oh, that's what he said in verse
10. For my enemies speak against me, and they that lay wait for
my soul take counsel together, saying, God hath forsaken him.
Persecute him, and take him, for there's none to deliver him. And that's what the enemy said
here. I've got him right where I want him. Oh, but God don't
make mistakes. God led them to this place right
here where they're up against the sea, and the army's coming
after them. And has He ever led you to such
a place in your life where you didn't have nowhere to go but
to Him? You had no place to go but to
cry out to Him? And that's the thing, beloved.
Once you ever start crying out to Him, you'll never stop crying. You'll never stop seeking. You'll
never stop trusting. You'll say, oh my, that's why
I pray for my children and my grandchildren, my great-grandchildren. God gives them such trouble that
they can't stand it. You know, they ain't got sense
enough to pray for themselves. They don't care enough for their
souls to pray for themselves. So who's going to have to care
for them and pray for them? We're going to have to care for
them and pray for them. They don't care enough about
their own souls to pray for themselves. So we got to care and we got
to pray for them. And here God puts these people
in this awful condition. And has he ever brought you,
have you ever been caught between enemies? Between God and your
sea of inhuman ability? You don't have no ability, man
don't have no, I don't have no more spiritual ability now than
I had to start with to save myself. I don't have no ability to make
myself better. If there's a good thought goes
through this brain, God's got to put it there. If there's a
good thing comes from my soul, God's got to bring it out. We're
shut up to God. Has God shut you up to Himself?
And the enemy coming just as marching just as hard as he can?
Oh, listen. Look what it says now in verse
down 9 and 10. Verse 9 and 10. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the
children of Israel listed up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians
marched after them, and they were sore afraid. And watch what
happens. And the children of Israel cried
out unto the Lord. They was in despair. Oh, when
they saw the enemy coming, when they saw Pharaoh coming, and
they saw, they were, it says in verse 10, they were sore afraid. Oh my, they cried unto the Lord,
who else they gonna call on? Who else are they gonna call
on? But they only called on Him when they were sore afraid. When
they were sore afraid, they were so afraid, afraid of themselves,
afraid of their enemy, And all else, who else can they call
on? All earthly help and hope must be cut off before anyone
will ever cry unto the Lord. That's just the way it is. But
God's got to cut off all help and all hope before you'll ever
cry unto the Lord. And I'm telling you something,
I want Him to keep me that way. I want Him to keep me that I
have no help but Him and no hope but Him. I'm telling you, beloved,
May God cut off, you know, it's like Jonah. Jonah was, oh, he
was upset with the Lord. The Lord cut his gourd vine down.
He's sitting under that gourd vine, just as shady, and you
know, and there's shade over his head, and God cut the gourd
vine down. May God cut your gourd vine down. And may the east wind
of God's Holy Spirit beat on you and come on you and just
dry you up and bring you in such despair. Listen, everybody wants
folks to feel good about their religion. Everybody wants people
to feel good about, just give a hand clap to the Lord. Let's
give a, lift up our hands to the Lord. Let's all give a shout
for Jesus. But oh, I tell you what, The
gospel you got brought down to where you ain't got no place
to go but to the Lord. You got to be brought into despair.
I'm telling you the truth now. I don't want you to feel good.
The only place I want you to feel good at is when you're trusting
Christ and feel comfortable, is when you're trusting Christ
and looking to Christ and resting in Christ. And if you're not
doing that, may God make you the miserablest creature on the
top side of this earth. I'm serious about that. They
say, oh boy. I said, well, you're going to
make them folks despair. I certainly hope so. I can't
make them, but I certainly hope the Holy Spirit does. I do. And all I say is soul must be
shut up to faith. Let me show you something over
here in 2 Chronicles. Go right over to your right till
you come to 2 Chronicles and look in chapter 20 with me. It's
like our Lord Jesus Christ. He told his disciples, let's
go over to the other side. They got in the ship, going over
to Capernaum, and he fell asleep. He fell asleep on the ship. Great
big storm come up. Oh, the winds blew, the waves
got real high, and oh, they all thought, boy, this is it, this
is it, we're gonna, this boat's gonna fall all to pieces, and
we're gonna perish, we're gonna drown down here. Great storm. And they went and woke the Lord
Jesus Christ up. You know, if Christ is on the
boat, whether He, you know, that proves His manhood. That proves
He is a man. But they woke him up and says,
Master, cares thou not that we perish? Those fellas thought
they were going to perish. They never bothered the Lord
till they thought they was going to perish. And to show that he
is also God and can save you in any situation, he stood up
and he said, Oh, you have little faith. And he said, wind be still. and it got just as calm and the
wind stopped just that quick. And that's what happens whenever
you're in a storm and God'll put you right in the middle of
a storm. And you'll say, Lord, don't you hear me? Lord, don't
you know what I'm going on in my life? Yes, he does. And he can say, peace be still,
huh? Bought a mess. Oh, he's sitting
by the wayside. He was begging, binding a beggar. I was in San Cristobal in southern
Mexico. Beautiful, beautiful old town. Beautiful old city. And there
was a woman sitting there. She was, oh, she looked awful.
Awful, sitting on a step. And she had a cup. She had rattled
that cup. Oh, she looked awful, shriveled
up, blind, holding out her cup, hands shaking. Those folks were
poor anyway. But that's where old Barnabas
was, sitting by the wayside begging, somebody give me something, please
give me something, that's all the living I got. And he heard
that there was a crowd coming through there, there's a Jericho
and there's, they said, Jesus and us is coming through here.
And they went on just walking by in a great big crowd and old
Barnabas cried, Jesus! Everybody heard him. Thou son
of David, have mercy on me! He cried, and they said, shut
up, shut up, shut up. You're making too much noise.
You're bothering all these people. And when they told him to be
quiet, he got even louder. God, he cried no more. He said,
have mercy on me. And the Lord Jesus stopped and
said, go get him. Bring him over here. And they
went to him and said, ìBe of good cheer. He calleth you, and
I tell you, be of good cheer when the Lord calls you.î He
said, ìWhat do you want?î ìOh, I want to be able to see.î And
he said, ìOh, according to your faith, let it be.î And immediately
he saw. Wouldn't that be something? I'll
tell you, that's what happens when the Lord opens your eyes,
when you cry out for mercy and the Lord opens your eyes, you
know what the first thing you see when you open your eyes?
You see the Lord. First person he saw, I don't
want to go see mama. I don't want to go see dad. He
said, oh, the first thing he saw when the Lord opened his
eyes was the Lord himself. And that's the first thing you'll
see when your Lord opens your eyes. It's like Isaiah said,
oh, it's me, I'm undone. What? When he saw the Lord. Oh
my, when the Lord opens your eyes, the first thing you're
going to see is him. But look what it said here in 2 Chronicles
20, 12. Oh, listen. Oh, our God. Oh, our God, wilt
thou not judge them? Listen to this. For we have no
might against this great company that cometh against us. Neither
know we what to do, but our eyes are upon thee. If you don't know what to do,
turn your eyes upon Jesus. And oh, listen, try to despair
and cry, but now look at the salvation. Look at their salvation
by the Lord's presence and the Lord's power. Look down here
in verse 13, in Exodus 14. And Moses said unto the people,
Fear not, fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the
Lord, which He will show you today. For the Egyptians whom
ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
Oh, the first thing he says to them, says fear not, But I'm
telling you what, fear everything till you hear this from the Lord.
Fear everything till you hear this from the Lord. Fear sin,
fear self, fear your flesh, fear religion, fear your carnal reasoning. That's what they said. Why didn't
you leave us in Egypt? Why bring us out here in the
wilderness to die? Oh, listen, fear carnal reasoning.
And then he says, fear not. Then look what he said also.
Stand still. What in the world is he talking
about stand still? They weren't going nowhere. What he means
was be calm, be quiet, be restful, be still and know that I am the
Lord. Quit, don't let your soul get
upset, don't let your mind get upset, don't let your heart get
upset, just be still. Quit moving, quit worrying, quit
fretting. quit worrying about Pharaoh,
just stand still, be quiet, be calm, be restful, be peaceful,
huh? Why? Because ye shall see salvation
of the Lord. Oh, I tell you, see the salvation
of the Lord. They said, that's why I said
be still, God, God save you if you, and listen, Oh, if anyone
ever sees and experience salvation, you know what it'll be? It'll
be a salvation of the Lord. If you ever see salvation, experience
salvation, it'll be holy and entirely, completely of the Lord. Salvation of the righteous is
of the Lord. You see Abraham, you see the
salvation of the Lord. Abraham saw the salvation of
the Lord. He saw the salvation of the Lord when he offered Isaac
up on the mountain. I tell you what, Jacob saw the
salvation of the Lord when the Lord laid hand on him and wrestled
with him all night and threw his leg out of joint and gave
him a brand new name. Simeon, an old man, he saw the
salvation of the Lord when he picked up an eight-day-old baby
and said, oh, let thy servant now depart in peace, for mine
eyes have seen thy salvation. Here's looking at an infant.
Mine eyes have seen thy salvation. Mine eyes have seen the salvation
of the Lord. Is yours? You know when Jonah,
his eyes saw the salvation was the Lord? When he was in the
belly of that whale, he said he was in hell and the bars of
hell was God around him and held him in and he couldn't get out.
And when he was in the belly of the whale and he was in darkness
in the depths of the sea, he said, I see the salvations of
the Lord. He's in the bottom of the ocean
in a whale's belly. And he said, I see the salvations
of the Lord. And I tell you, you know, the
Armenian, this is what the Armenian would say, the free will would
say. Well, that whale brought him up, sent him out in about
six foot water or five foot of water and spit him out. And he
had to swim the rest of the way to shore and he'd crawl out on
the shore and walk. But the scripture says that that whale come up
right to the sea and spit him out on dry land. Salvation to the Lord. He ain't
going to put you on dry land. Oh my. And I tell you, they'll
see the salvation to the Lord. And it's salvation not of works.
Look what it says in verse 14. He says, the Lord shall fight
for you. And you're just going to hold
your peace. The Lord's going to save you. The Lord's going
to do the work and you're going to hold your peace. It ain't going to
be of any words that you say. He said, you're going to hold
your peace. And salvation, He says here, is not of works. It
says, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Y'all
remember very well, and we've looked at it so many times in
Romans 10, verse 2, where it says, I bear record of Israel
that they have a zeal for God, great zeal for God. They labored
for God, were zealous for God. They prayed, and they paid their
tithes, and they attended the synagogue, and they went through
all the religious things that they're supposed to do, and it
profited them nothing. He said they were going about
to establish their own righteousness. And they were ignorant of the
righteousness of God. And oh, listen, I'm telling you,
beloved, these men just grew worse. Their condemnation was
greater. He said, stand still. Cease from
your works. Cease from yourself. Cease from
your carnal reasoning. Cease. Cease. Cease. Be still
and see the salvation of the Lord. What I need to do to be
saved, Brother Donnie? Trust what Christ already did. Trust what's already been done.
Trust Christ who did it. People say, I trust in the finished
work of Christ. That's not enough. You listen
to what I'm telling you. Trusting in the work of Christ
is not enough to finish the work of Christ. You've got to trust
the one who did the work. If you get Him, you get what
He did. So I trust Him, and when I trust
Him, I get everything He did. I get all of His benefits. I
get all of His blessings. I get all of His grace. I get
all of His righteousness. I get all of His justification.
Huh? A big difference, ain't it? Henry
used to say it like this. He said, it's not how long Christ
was on the cross. It was who was on the cross.
It's not how much blood that was shed. It was whose blood
that was shed. And that's why we trust him.
Huh? Oh, listen. All right. Let me
show you something. Look at this. This is a supernatural
work I was talking about. This miraculous, miraculous salvation. And down in verse 21, And Moses stretched out his hand
over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong
east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the
waters were divided." Oh, my. I told you he's gonna take a
miracle to save these people. This is the way that God saves
a man. Now, let me tell you something,
what happened. Before they ever got to this place, they'd already
been in the bloodshed. You remember the Passover in
Israel and Egypt? The blood's already been shed.
The blood's already been applied. And they're coming out there
because they've been redeemed. Their sins have been put away.
God has passed over them. The blood's been applied. The blood's been shed. The sin's
been put away. And now, beloved, after the blood's
been shed, the blood's been applied, out they come. And the blood
was shed 2,000 years ago, and the blood's already shed for
them, and you know what? Wherever the blood's been shed,
mark it down, God's gonna save. And the blood's been shed, and
here they are, they're down here. and now the power must be fed
then that's what happens when God sheds that blood for a sinner
then God's going to manifest power to save them and oh listen
and the enemies behind them to see before them how in the world
they're going to be saved it's going to take a miracle it's
going to take supernatural power and God saved them here in such
a way that he received all the glory And they didn't receive
none. Huh? They couldn't swim that
ocean or the Red Sea. Huh? They couldn't walk across
it. But look what he says now. And
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. The Lord caused
the sea to go back. Go back. By a strong east wind
all that night. It blowed all night. And he made
the sea dry land. And the waters were divided. And then down in verse 22, and
it says, and the waters were a wall under them on the right
hand and on their left. So he's gonna open this place
up. He's gonna take these folks through.
And I tell you, God opened for us. He opened for us anew in
a living way through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. So
let us draw near in a true heart full of assurance. And I tell
you what, when God caused this sea to go up and then the wall
between them, there was, they estimate, they estimate at that
particular time, there was probably two million of them, two million
of them. Can you imagine two million people with all their
clothes, with their needy troughs and their food, there was babies,
There was old people, there were infirm people, there's people
that had to be carried, and the babies, the infants, the infirm,
the weakest, the oldest, there was grandmas, great grandmas,
there was little bitty babies, and there was everything that
they owned, everything that they had, and I'm telling you, did
any of them not make it? That the weakest one in the bunch
got to the other side as well as the youngest and the strongest.
Boy, ain't that something? God saves the weakest. You say,
there's nobody weaker than me. Well, then you certainly need
saving then, don't you? And that's nobody stronger than
me. Well, you need saving too. And I tell you, he saved them
all. And I'm telling you what, I can just see those folks going
across through there. I just, I mean, the scripture
says they went four abreast. They went through there four
abreast. Some of them had babies on their backs and their arms.
Some poor old woman or man that couldn't walk, you know, walking
with a cane or a stick. He said, come on, let me carry
you, Granny. Picked him up just a little to carry him. And I'm telling you that's what
the Lord Jesus Christ meant when he said without me you can do
nothing and without this supernatural act of God they could do nothing
and there's no danger absolutely no danger of the water to come
down upon them and drown them sometimes I guess they thought
it would be but it won't it will never come down on them and then
look what happens back up here in verse 15 Look what it says
here. And the chill of Israel went
into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground. Here's their
saving faith. They took God at His word, and
the first one that stepped in, you know, they went forward.
And beloved, let me tell you something. It's not enough to
hear this way. It's not enough to hear about it. It's not enough
just to know something about it. It's not enough just to look
at it like they saw that the ground was dry. It's not enough
to even praise the way. You've got to get in the way.
You've got to trust. You've got to believe. You've
got to believe. And oh my, oh my, we got to magnify the wisdom
and power of God who made the way. And that's what they called
them. You know, in Acts they called, they were of this way. That's what they called Christians,
the first thing before they ever started calling them Christians.
They called them people of the way. The people that walked in
this way. People of the way. People of
what way? The way of salvation of the Lord.
They couldn't save themselves. They was against the Red Sea.
But they went through on dry land. God's made the way. Christ has accomplished salvation.
Salvation's done. Salvation's complete. Salvation's
perfect. Sin's been put away once and
for all by the sacrifice of Christ. And the question is, will you
trust Him? Will you cease from yourself?
and stand still and look to Christ and trust Christ and Him alone.
Not what you, you know, faith don't save you. Christ is the
one that saves you. But can you believe that He did? Huh? Oh, listen, you got to enter
this way. They went into it. The enemy's
hot on your trail. That's why Paul meant lay hold,
lay hold on eternal life. And there's no condemnation to
who? to them that are in Christ Jesus. And then let me show you
something else. Here this blessed, blessed protection.
Oh, saving faith. They entered in. They entered
in. They went there on that way. Trust the Lord. Oh my, trust
the Lord. Trust Him, trust Him, trust Him.
But look what happens back up here in 19. Oh, what a protection. Almighty protection. And the
angel of God which went before the camp of Israel, removed,
and went behind them. And the pillar of cloud went
from before their face and stood behind them. And it became between
the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel, and it was
a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to
these. So the one came not near the
other." First of all, what you notice is the angel of God, is
the angel of God. And the pillar of cloud, the
pillar of a cloud. Great big cloud and it's in a
pillar. It came between Egypt and Israel. And what a place
of safety. Look what it says here. It says,
and it was in verse 20, it went before, verse 40, 29, 19, excuse
me, went from before their face and then stood behind them. And
in the last part of verse 20, and it was a cloud of darkness
to them, but it gave light by night to these. and they couldn't
come near to one another. To us, the gospel's light, Christ
is light. The other side is just dark.
What's light to us is dark to them. Ain't that right? Those
who are in the way, they're going to be protected. And the scriptures
tells us it's the pillar of His presence. And God has made such
a distinction between us and the world between us and Egypt. They see darkness, we see light.
And we're looking at the same thing. We're looking at the same
cloud. Looking at the same Bible. Looking at the same scriptures.
And I'll tell you, looking at the same thing, and what's light
to us is darkness to them. They want war, we want peace.
They love darkness, we love light. They walk in darkness, we walk
in the light, as He's in the light. And I'm telling you, SWAT,
God's gonna keep His people in this way because it says in the
last part of that verse, so that one came not near the other.
They ain't gonna even come near one another. And then look down
in verse 1 of chapter 15. I'm done. James read this last
Sunday night. Then sang Moses and the children
of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will
sing unto the Lord, For he hath triumphed gloriously, the horse
and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. Now beloved, Christ
makes us always to triumph in Christ. Now you read this song
of Solomon, this song of Moses. There are three thines, ten thous,
eleven thys, but there's no mes in it whatsoever. Let me say that again. There
are three thines, 10 thous, 11 thys, but no I or me. Salvation to the Lord. And when
God gives you that new song to sing, that's what you sing, ain't
it? That's what you sing. Amen. Our Savior, our Savior. Oh, thank you for the grace of
God. Thank you for the gospel. Thank you for the truth that's
in Christ Jesus. Thank you that there's a difference
between God's people, light and darkness. Thank you the salvations
of the Lord, supernatural, miraculous work of God. And so, Lord, open
that heart. Open that heart. Give that new
heart. Give that peace of heart, that
joy that there is in believing. And we ask in Christ's name,
amen. Amen.
