Verse 5, it says this, Jeremiah
23, 5, Behold, the days come, saith
the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous branch, and
see how that word branch is capitalized That means Christ was the root
and offspring of David's branch. And a king shall reign and prosper. The branch and the king is one
and the same. And this king and this branch
shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah
shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is the
name whereby he shall be called The Lord our Righteousness. Jehovah Shekinu. The Lord our
Righteousness. Christ our Righteousness. When man, God created him in
the garden. He made him upright. Made him
holy. Made him righteous. And God gave
that man, who was the head of the whole human race, represented
all of us. Put him in the garden, gave him
one commandment. Don't you eat of the tree of
the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day that you eat thereof
you shall die. Well, he did. And when he failed,
all of us, the human race, we sustained an infinite loss in
this matter of righteousness. When Adam lost his righteousness,
we all lost it. When Adam died and began to die,
we all died with him. And that's what we call the ruin
of man. Man became utterly and absolutely
ruined. And those things that are read
to you in Romans 3, none righteous, no not one, none that understandeth,
none doeth good. That's what we lost. We lost
all sense of righteousness. And not only did a man lose his
righteousness, but he lost his righteous nature. Man doesn't
have a righteous nature. He's born without one. He's born
with the nature to sin. He's born with the nature to
rebel. He's born with a nature that's against God. But now one
thing the nature that he didn't lose, he didn't lose his self-righteous
nature. Everybody's got a self-righteousness.
They want to trust their own righteousness. You know if you
start telling somebody how bad they are, they'll get upset with
you. They'll say, but, but, but. There ain't no buts in this matter
of righteousness. Either you got it or you don't. Either you're
in Christ or you're out of Christ. You're alive in Christ or you're
dead in sins. Not only did he lose his righteous
nature, But he also, and the understanding of what righteousness
is, but he lost a twofold loss of legal righteousness in the
sight of God. Now what do I mean by that? There's
two ways that a man sins. One's a sin of omission, he doesn't
do what he's supposed to do. And then a sin of commission,
he does what he's not supposed to do. And that's exactly what
happened in the garden. When God told Adam not to eat
of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he did not
keep that command. And so that was the loss of omission,
the sin of omission. He didn't do what God told him
to do. And then when he transgressed
and did partake of that fruit of the knowledge of good and
evil, that was the sin of commission. He did exactly what God told
him not. He sinned and transgressed against
God. And what actually happened there
was he tried to earn God God. He went against the will of his
maker. And that means he still committed
sin. He did what God told him not
to do. And when he did that, his character,
His nature of uprightness was completely wrecked and ruined.
He lost all sense of understanding into what righteousness is. And
you know why I know that? Because the scripture says that
he took a fig leaf to cover his nakedness. The first thing God
asked him, Matty, where are you? He said, I'm naked. Who told
you you was naked? Nobody had to tell him. The minute
he sinned against God, he understood right then and there, I'm naked.
It had been God created him naked. But he knew that he lost that
righteousness and he was naked before God and he was so wrecked
and ruined that he thought he could cover his nakedness with
a fig leaf. And then he went and hid among
the trees and among the bushes. And thought God, he said, God
won't find me here. That's how lost he got. That's how wretched he got. That
he actually thought he could hide from God among the trees
and among the bushes there. God can't find me here. And that's
what people think. God will never find me out. But
He'll find you. That's why Paul said, I want
to be found in Christ. He'll either find us in our sin
or He'll find us in Christ. Is that not right? And that's
what the Lord Jesus Christ came to do. Paul said the Jews are
ignorant of the righteousness of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ
came to undo what Adam did, not for everybody, but for his elect,
for his people, for people that God gave to Christ before the
foundation of the world. And I tell you that's why it's
called Jehovah's to give you the Lord our righteousness. And
the Lord Jesus, by His precious blood, He put their sin away. He took the consequences of their
sin away from all believers. He bore the penalty of their
sin in His flesh. He, in His own body, bore our
sins on the tree. He, by the sacrifice of Himself,
put away sin once and for all in the end of the world. Now,
but let me tell you something. That's not enough for man to
be pardoned. Now listen to me. Before God,
before God's eyes, he's without sin, but yet God requires that
a lost man actually keep the law and obey the law. Somebody has to, you know, God
requires that a man actually keep the law. That's what he
said. Cursing is ever one that continues not in all things of
the book of the law to do them. And where that righteousness,
where that pardon sinner can completely be covered so that
God Almighty can regard him as righteous. Now how are you going
to have righteousness? One thing to have your sin put
away, but you've got to have a righteousness. Then where are
you going to get that righteousness? And that's what he said here
in Romans 23, 6. This is the name whereby he shall
be called the Lord our righteousness. The Lord our righteousness. This
is his name by which shall be known. The Lord Jehovah's akin
to the Lord our righteousness. This is what he has. Righteousness. This is what he is. Righteousness. This is what he shall be called
by every true believer, Jehovah, my righteousness, the Lord, my
righteousness. Now what does it mean that the
Lord is our righteousness? It means the Lord Jesus Christ,
the Lord Jehovah, is our righteousness. Who is this Lord Jehovah? Who
is Jehovah's akin to you? The Lord, our righteousness.
God and man in one person, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the
eternal God and His perfect man, united in one person, the Lord
Jesus Christ. Now you know, go over with me
over here to Colossians. Look in Colossians chapter 1
with me just a minute. This is what I'm talking about.
This Jehovah, our righteousness, Christ our righteousness, is
the God-man, the Lord Jesus Christ. He was as much God as if he was
not man, he was as much man as if he was not God, and yet he
wasn't two people, he was one person. And as a man, as a man, he had
a righteousness. And I'll explain it here as I
go through, a righteousness that God would accept, and not only
Him, but all for whom He represented it. As we fell in Adam, we got
to be redeemed in the head, the Lord Jesus Christ. Look what
He said here in Colossians 1.15. Talking about the Lord Jesus
Christ, who is the image of the invisible God. God is invisible. Nobody's ever seen Him. He's
a spirit. So He's invisible. Well, He became visible, where
at? In the Lord Jesus Christ. He's
the firstborn of every creature. Now listen to this. For by Him
were all things created. that are in heaven, that are
in earth, visible and invisible, whether you see a throne or a
dominion or a principality or a power, all things were created
by Him and for Him. And listen to what it says about
that, before everything ever happened, He is before everything
that ever was, before all things. And now everything that He created
by Him, everything consists and is upheld right now by Him. And
listen to this, he is the head of the body, the church, who
is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things
he is going to have the preeminence. Now listen to this, for it pleased
the Father that in him all foolish should dwell. All fullness of
what? Everything that you need and
everything that God needs is all in Him. You see, you know
I tell you, it's in Christ, in the Lord Jesus alone that God
the Father is well pleased. God declared twice that this
is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. God said that twice
to them. And our Lord Jesus Christ says,
Father, I finished the work that you gave me to do. And I had a glory with you before
the world was. Give me that glory when I finish
this work. And he said about himself, I
do always those things that please the Father. And not only is God
well pleased with him, but not only with whom, but in whom.
In Christ is God well pleased. He is God's all in all. Let me
tell you something. God's atoned in Christ. God's
pacified in Christ. God's satisfied in Christ. God's
propitiated in Christ. You see, the first person that's
got to be satisfied is God Himself. And it's by the Lord Jesus Christ
and through Him alone that if we have justification, He's the
one that justifies us. Why did I read this morning that
by the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified? But God,
those Christ, God sent forth Christ that justified freely,
freely by His grace through the righteousness that's in Christ.
And I tell you, beloved, and that's the word justified. Now
let me tell you something about justification. Justification's
done something completely outside our sins. Justification's done
something in the presence of God. It has nothing to do with
our feelings. This is something that's done
in a court of law. A man, he goes in there and he
commits murder, he does some crime, and the judge and the
jury says they acquit him, that means they justified him. He's
justified and he walks out of that courtroom with nothing against
him, as if nothing had ever been done. Well in the court of heaven,
when our Lord Jesus Christ went to glory, God accepted everything
he'd done and there in heaven, God said, I'll justify and Everyone
that whom my son died for. And justification is an act of
God does in heaven. And when we go there in the presence
of God, justification's already been done. Well, how in the world was it done?
The Lord Jesus Christ paid everything that was against us and presented
His own righteousness to the Father. And He accepted that
in justifications, God, when we go in the presence of God,
when we go into eternity, there will be nothing held against
us. God Himself justified us for what Christ did. Huh? That's what I'm talking about.
He was delivered. God delivered Him up for all
of our offenses. How many offenses do you reckon
we had? You know, I don't have a clue how many I committed yesterday,
but I had a plenty of them. He was delivered for all of us,
past, present, and future. And God accepted that. And so
now with Christ, He was raised for our justification. Since
all the offenses have been paid for, God raised Him to justify
and show us all that all of our sins and offenses were paid for
by the Lord Jesus Christ. And now His righteousness is
also accepted of God because that's the only righteousness
that's in this universe is the righteousness of Christ. And then it turns around and
tells us, well let me show you something over here in Acts.
Look over in Acts. You've got to see this. Acts 13.38. Now
when it talks about being justified, that means God clears us from
all guilt, treason, rebellion, and every sin that we've ever
committed of which we're ashamed. In Acts 13.38, look what it says
here. Oh, bless His name. Oh my, I
need it, I need Christ. Oh, you just don't know how sorry
I am, you don't know how bad I am, you don't know, you don't
have a clue how awful I am. And oh, if Christ hadn't have
done it, Christ don't do it now. But look what it says in verse
38. Paul's preaching here now. And he said, Be it known unto
you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man, through
Jesus Christ, the one who God raised from the dead, he said
earlier before this, that through this man is preached unto you
the forgiveness of sins, and listen to it, by him, all that
believe, not work, not keep the laws, Not come and say, I'm doing
the best I can. Not saying, I joined the church.
Not saying, I believe as much of the Bible as I understand.
No, no. By Him, all that believe are justified from how many things? Everything! From which He could
never be justified by the law of Moses. Not only are we justified
in Him and through Him, But we accepted in favor through the
Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1, 6, God has made
us accepted. Made us. Made us accepted in the beloved. And you know what that word accepted
means? Grace. graced in the beloved. Therefore
being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ. That word graced is, you know,
it means charito, that means charity. People say, well I don't
want charity. Oh, I want charity. Give me charity. Give me all the grace that you've
got, oh God. Give me all the grace you've
got. All that grace that's in Christ. All that charity that's
in Christ. Give it to me, give it to me,
give it to me. I need it. I'll take all you
give me. Won't you? Oh, He made peace through the
blood of His cross. He's the only place that God
can accept a sinner. Only place where God will be
a friend to or have fellowship with a sinner is in the Lord
Jesus Christ. He must be our righteousness. Now let me tell you, beloved,
it's by His merit. When we talk about merit, you
know that they have these merit awards. People, you know, they
get merit awards and then they got merit badges and boy scouts. And those are the people that
give you merits by human standards. But in God's sight, nobody has
any merit at all. Nobody has any merit. You got
no badges that you can present to God. Got no honor you can
present to God. Yet Christ is the only one in
this universe who ever had any merit. And it's in His merit
alone that we are what we are. We have what we are, and what
we do is made acceptable only in His very. Paul says we are
complete in Him. Now how are you going to beat
that? Complete in Him. He didn't just say complete with
my attitude, or just complete. He said you're complete in Him,
who's the head of all principalities and powers. Oh, our Lord in His
life, listen to me, our Lord in His life is so righteous that
He is righteousness itself. He's the law incarnate. The law
that was written on Sinai was written in the heart and soul
of our Lord Jesus Christ. That's why He said He was made
in the likeness of sinful flesh. And our Lord said, I did not
come to destroy the law of the prophets, but to fulfill them.
And let me tell you something about the law, while you look
in Romans 10 with me for just a minute. Let me tell you something
about the law. The law must be kept, but also
if you break it, you've got to suffer the penalty of breaking
it. As you know, that's the law of
the land here. If you break the law, you suffer the penalty of
it. And if you keep it, then you've
got no danger of anybody ever getting you. So you not only
have to keep it and fulfill all of his precepts, but if you ever
break it, you've got to suffer the penalty of it. And what's
the penalty of it? Death. And what's the fulfillment
of it? Righteousness. Well, our Lord
Jesus Christ did both for us. Look what he said in Romans 10.4. For Christ is the end of the
law for righteousness. End of it that he kept it, and
end of it that he died to it. And so Christ is the end of the
law of righteousness to everyone that what? We find that word
again, believes. And when you get to the end of
something, you know you're just done. It's finished. And Christ is the end of it.
He's the end of the law. He bore His curse in His own
body on that tree to redeem us from His curse. He fulfilled
the law and He sat on His own this earth. So we get the fulfillment
of it and we pay the penalty of it. And Christ, when He was
crucified, it says we were crucified with Him. When He died, we died
with Him. When He was buried, we were buried
with Him. When He was raised, we were raised with Him. When
He sat down, the Scripture said we sat with Him in the heavenly
places. Now that's how folks we honor
Christ. And that's how righteousness becomes ours in Him. Oh my, my. Let me tell you something. Our
bad works or our good works has nothing to do with it. We're
only accepted in Christ. He has to atone for any works
that we do, whether we call them bad or good, because we don't
have nothing. And you say, but I want about
a good work. Listen, if there's anything good
that comes out of us, it's Christ doing it in us. Ain't that right? And let me tell you something,
not only is the merit of His life, but the merit of His blood
puts away our sin. He entered once into the holy
place and presented His own blood. And you know what He did when
He presented His own blood there? God accepted that blood as a
payment for all of our sins. And by faith we receive His justification. And let me tell you something.
Let down in Romans 3, I'm going to show you that again. Look
at just what it says. Look down at verse 22, talking about this
righteousness of God. It says the same thing in Galatians
2.16. And I want to explain this to
you. It says here, the righteousness of the law without the prophets
and being without the law is manifested. And here's the righteousness
he's talking about, the righteousness of God. Now leave out the which
is because that's what the translators put in there. Read just right.
Even the righteousness of God by faith of Jesus Christ unto
all in them that believe. Now what does that mean? That
means that we're justified and accepted and are righteous by
the faith of what Christ did. By His faithfulness. By His doing. By His blessed doing. If you
have faith to believe it, God gave you that faith. But I tell
you what, you know what, right now I'm justified and Christ
presented His blood there and I, it's His faith and His faithfulness
that keeps me. And ensured. You see, I don't
want to express it, but you see everything we have to do has
to be perfect before it can be accepted. Your faith must be
perfect before it can be accepted. Your love must be perfect before
it can be accepted. And if you are going to obey
God, your obedience has to be perfect. Is that not right? Can God accept anything but perfection? So where are we going to get
perfect faith? Where are we going to get perfect
repentance? Where are we going to get perfect obedience? We're
Christ! He believed God perfectly. He
told his disciples when they come there, he says, my need
is to do the will of Him that sent me and finish the work. And He loved the Father. All
the things that have to be perfect, He did it. And so when God brings
us to where we trust Christ and see Christ and all that He did,
then that's our perfection is Christ. You're complete in Him. Our faith is still not perfect,
but His is. Our love is still not perfect,
but His is. Our obedience is not perfect,
but His is. Our plans are not perfect, but
His is. That just about makes you want
to holler, doesn't it? Oh, listen. And that's what I
mean everything about Him. His blood, His obedience is imputed
to us, in charge to us for righteousness. And that word imputed means it's
just put on our account. Did y'all ever run an account
at a store? You know, everybody had an account
back when they had little old stores in their community and
all things. You know, you'd run in and you'd keep an account
at the store. And you'd go in and you'd say, put that on my
account. Go in and get three dollars worth
of gas, put that on the account. Go in, buy you a pot and a blue
pie, put that on the account. You know, just everything's put
on the account. And then you know when it's time to pay the
account, you went in there and you paid it. Sometimes you'd
pay it all, sometimes you couldn't. But you know you'd pay it. Well
that's what God did, since we had nothing to offer. Everything
that Christ had on His account, His obedience, His righteousness,
His blood, His satisfaction, His atonement, His perfection,
His sinlessness, His righteousness, everything that He had that's
on His account, God took and put that on our account. And now we stand before God with
the same account Christ has. You see, it was who he was before
God that made what he did of such infinite worth. Now listen,
if you don't get anything else I say today, get this, God had
to have a life and a righteousness and a sacrifice equal to himself. equal to himself. God could not
accept anything less than himself. So what did He do? He came Himself
in the person of His Son. And our Lord Jesus Christ gave
to God what God required Himself. In the person of His Son. That's
why everything Christ did is ours. And oh my, let's see, where
am I at here? Boy, it's wonderful you don't
need notes. He brought in an everlasting
righteousness. That's what he did. And God made
him our righteousness. God made Christ our righteousness,
our sanctification, our redemption. This is my son, he shall be your
righteousness, I make him so to you. And that word make means
to ordain, constitute, appointing. And God appointed him to be everything,
our atonement, our propitiation, our advocate, our surety, our
mediator. And when we come to God, we have
only one plea, one plea, one name, one righteousness that
we come to God in. And I tell you that God made
him to be sin, made his soul an offering for sin, made him
a curse for us. And all of his righteousness
and all of his obedience is put on our account. And that's why
he now said the Lord Jehovah is our righteousness. And you
know why it's called the righteousness of God? Because God produced
it in Christ. God provided it in Christ. And
God gives it to us in Christ. And God worked it out in Christ
and everything we have, God gave it to us. That's why Paul said, I only
want to be found in the righteousness of Christ. And I tell you what, because
Christ is God, He worked it out for us and brought it to us.
And it's not a man's righteousness, poor and weak and insufficient.
But it's called the righteousness of God Himself given to us. And you know what His righteousness
is compared to in the Scriptures? Fine linen. Fine linen. Called wrought gold. It's like the prodigal's best
robe. Better than the robe any angel
ever had on. You know why? Because it's an
everlasting righteousness. You say, well, boy, I've seen
you, Donnie. I've seen you make some awful,
do some awful things. Yeah, you follow me around, you'll
see worse things than that. But you know, God ain't looking
at how bad I am or how good I am. He's looking at Christ. And oh,
bless His holy name. That's only righteousness. What are you going to do when
you do bad? It ain't going to change our
righteousness that's everlasting. What do you do when you do real,
real good? It still don't change your righteousness and everlasting
righteousness. You can't add to it and you can't take away
from it. He brought in an everlasting righteousness. How long is it
everlasting? I don't know. I can hardly comprehend
how fast time going now, so I surely don't know nothing about everlasting. Oh listen, and let me tell you
this and I'll move on. You know we must have before God and in our conscience, we must before God in our conscience,
Before the law and before justice, we must call the Lord Jesus Christ
our righteousness. And until that happens, until
you trust Christ and He becomes your righteousness, you are naked
before God. You are without hope, without
God, without Christ in this world. God said this, He says, you know,
they say the rich and increase with good, and He said, you know,
I'm going to tell you how I look at you. You know, it's not that
you're wretched, you're poor, you're miserable, you're blind,
and you're naked. Without Christ before your conscience, before
the law, before justice. If He's not your righteousness,
you're naked. And until we're under the wrath and condemnation,
until we trust Christ and He becomes our righteousness, men
are under the wrath and condemnation of a thrice holy God. And until
we call Him our righteousness, and see Him and consider Him
our righteousness. There's no way of being accepted
of God, pardoned of God, justified of God, any other way and other
than Jesus Christ being your righteousness. Can't be done.
Can't be done. That's why Paul said, if righteousness
comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. And I tell you, Christ has become
of no effect to you who seek to be justified by the law in
any way. Now I'll tell you something,
it's impossible, impossible to be accepted of God without a
righteousness. And that righteousness must be
a righteousness that God will accept. And the only righteousness
He'll accept is the righteousness He gives in Christ. It's the
only one He'll accept. And I'll tell you something,
beloved, it's impossible that our righteousness or the righteousness
of another man or an angel can bring us to God and make us acceptable.
We don't have none. And He said there's none righteous,
there's none that doeth good. The angels can't get you righteous.
The saints can't make you righteous. The Pope can't make you righteous.
There's only one person can make you righteous. Jehovah's akin
you, Christ our righteousness. Can you say Christ is my righteousness
before God right now? Can you say Christ is my righteousness
before your conscience? Can you say Christ is my righteousness
before God's holy law? Can you say God's my righteousness
before justice? Can you say that in your heart,
in your soul? Do you believe it? I have to believe it because
there is no other hope for me if that ain't it. Let me give
you two reasons why men, if you don't have Christ as your righteousness,
we'll give you two reasons you don't. Two reasons why you don't
have the Lord as your righteousness, to believe Christ for your righteousness. First one would be ignorance.
Men go about to establish their own righteousness being ignorant
of the righteousness of God. The only why in the world why
you won't believe Christ is your right is because you're ignorant
of it. You don't know anything about it. So if you're ignorant
of it, you'll go back and establish your own. You say, I'm as good
as anybody else. Oh, listen, I may have some imperfections,
or you know, I may not be doing this over here, but I am doing
this much good. Somebody's house burnt down,
and I went over and helped clean it up, and I gave them a hundred
dollars. So that counts for something.
Yeah, it counts for you giving somebody a hundred dollars, and
I'll tell you what, if you had more than that, you ought to
give more than that. You know, if you're going to
trust in that, do something worth bragging about. If you're going
to do something really good, do something really worth bragging
about. Build them a house. Furnish it. Pay the right bill for the rest
of their life too. Then you really, then you have
something to brag about. That's why I say they're ignorant.
They go about to establish their right, they're ignorant of the
righteousness of God. And the second reason men won't
have the righteousness of Christ is pride. Pride. They refuse to let their own
righteousnesses go. And they'll perish for it. I
will not let my righteousness go. I remember a preacher one
time, he really, really believed in rewards. He believed in the
millennium. He believed all the crowns. One
preacher could get all the crowns. And if you had done a lot of
things through life and you got there at the end of the way,
you were going to get more. If you was more dedicated, more
obedient, done a lot more works than other folks did, Witnessed
a lot more than that. When you got to heaven, you'd
get more reward than somebody else did. There used to be a
song about that. Build my mansion next door to
Jesus. Or I'll just give you a cabin
in the corner of glory land. So somebody's going to get a
mansion, another fellow's just going to get a cabin. Well, this fellow,
you know, got to hear preaching along his run. And God is saying,
you know, Christ is the only reward we have. Christ is the
only righteousness we have. Christ is the only acceptor before
God. Do you reckon Paul got more reward in the presence of God
than any of us will ever get? Do you reckon he did? Do you reckon John got more that
he lived 95 years and wrote the book of Revelation? Do you reckon
he got any more rewards? When men were bowed before the
apostles, and when even John bowed before the angels in heaven,
you know what they said? Stand up! We're just angels. You don't never bow to anybody
but the Lord Jesus Christ himself. They bowed before, but get on
your feet, I'm just a man. You worship Christ through Christ
alone. Now this old fella, Boy, he started pushing along that
line. He got up and said, you mean to tell me that I'm not
going to get no more for all that I've done than anybody else
is going to get when I get there? He said, yeah. He said, I just
don't believe that and I'm not going to let that go. I believe
I'll get a heapshot more than most people will when they get
there. You reckon he will? You know why I believe that?
Pride. I'm going to hold on to my righteousness
and my rewards and all my good deeds that I've done, and I'm
going to face God with them. And you know what you're going
to face God with? Filthy, dirty rags. Our righteousness, our
ass, filthy rags. You know, I've done got my reward
already. I've got Christ. Gene Rudley,
bless his heart. We've been here so many times,
traveled with him a long way. He had his reward in this life.
He had Christ. And now, beloved, he's got Christ
for eternity. What else would a man want? If God says, this is my righteousness,
what more could you have? If God said, I'll give you Christ,
what more could you... What more could God give you
than Jesus Christ and His righteousness? What more can he require to wash
your blood of sins away than his blood? If this satisfies
God, why in the world wouldn't you want anything else than that? Why would you? How would you
know if that's not enough? I don't know what to tell you. Listen, you talk about strength
for your faith and comfort for your soul. Is my righteousness
yesterday? He's my righteousness today.
He'll be my righteousness tomorrow. And when I get 75 years old,
He'll be my righteousness then. And you know when I get to glory,
my righteousness will be exactly what it is right now. Christ
is my righteousness. It's a little old, two verses
or so. Wonders of grace to God belong. Repeat His mercies in your soul. Huh? Oh, what a righteousness. What a salvation. Can you have
it? Yes, you can. Where do you get
it? Christ. Christ. What is that? What would be a
good song to sing on that day? It's Well With My Soul, 256,
is that what it would be? 256, just sing a couple of verses
of that. 256, I think that's what it is. Yes. Stand with me. Not in part, but the whole His
name, Jesus Christ And I bear Him no more Praise the Lord,
praise the Lord It is well with my soul It is
well, it is well with my soul With my faith! The clouds will
roll back as the storm is over The dark shall resound and the It is well with my soul It is
well, it is well with my soul. It is well, it is well with my
soul. I pray it is with yours. Our
Father, in the blessed name of Christ, oh what a day, what a
gospel, what a righteousness. Yours And you give it to us. Accept us. Receive us as your
own son. In the beloved, oh blessed be
your name. Open hearts, open minds, open
understandings to your glory for Christ's sake. Amen.
