Psalm 33, Rejoice in the Lord,
O ye righteous, for praise is coming for the upright. Praise
the Lord with harps, sing unto him with the psaltery and an
instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song, play
skillfully with a loud noise, for the word of the Lord is right,
and all his works are done in truth. Or just say, all his works
in truth. He loveth righteousness and judgment.
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. By the word of the
Lord were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath
of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the
sea together as in heap. He layeth up the depth and storehouses,
let all the earth fear the Lord. Let all the inhabitants of the
world stand in awe of him, for he spake And it was, he commanded,
and it stood fast. The Lord bringeth the counsel
of the heathen to naught, he maketh the devices of the people
of none effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth
forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed
is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom he
hath chosen for his own inheritance. Psalm 33, verse 1. Rejoice in
the Lord, O ye righteous, for praise is coming for the upright. There's lots and lots and lots
and lots and lots and lots of reasons for us to rejoice in
the Lord. The ways that we are to rejoice in Him is innumerable. We have more reasons to rejoice
And that's when he says, oh, you're righteous. Who else could
rejoice but the righteous? The ungodly can't rejoice in
the Lord. Men that don't know the Lord
can't rejoice in the Lord. People who don't have an interest
in Christ can't rejoice in the Lord. And he says, rejoice in
the Lord, you're righteous. That's one reason to rejoice
in the Lord, because we've been made righteous in Christ. We
have the very righteousness of Christ. That's a good reason
to rejoice in the Lord. And when it says rejoice in the
Lord, shout for joy in the Lord. I know this, that the source
of our joy, the source of our rejoicing is not in this world,
and it's certainly not in ourselves, but it's in the Lord Jesus Himself.
And you know, I tell you, I got just some things from Mr. Spurgeon
today. And he says, rejoice in the Lord.
Rejoice that God is, that God is. And secondly, rejoice that
God is such a God as He is. And thirdly, rejoice in God because
He's our God and He's ours forever and ever. As long as He endures,
we will. And there He says this, He said
to rejoice Temporal comforts is dangerous because they'll
all pass. It'll be like a broken reed.
To rejoice in self is to be a fool. To rejoice in sin, that's fatal. To rejoice in God, that's heavenly. And all you righteous, rejoice
in the Lord. And then he says, and only the
righteous can. Then he says, praise the Lord
with heart, Saying I'll do them with a psaltery and an instrument
of ten strings. And everybody I read on this
here, right here, when they talked about this, everybody I read,
back in those days, none of them used musical instruments. They said, you know, they're
wonderful. But he said, they believe they
detract from the worship service. Mr. Spurgeon said that. I don't
know how many men said that. And he says, it's the voices. We ought to use the voices. You
know, let our voices be like the harp. You know, and then
the ten strings. He said, let all the voices come
together as a bunch of strings together. But when it's talked
about, they used instruments in the worship of God. And David
was talked about as one. He had a skillful, he skillfully
played on the harp. When Saul was having, the demons
was coming to him, he would have David play the harp and it would
calm him down, it would put him at rest, it would put him at
ease. And so you have musical instruments through all the scriptures.
But these fellas for some reason, they just didn't think it was
the right thing to do. And he says, but now if anybody
does, he says, that's their business, I'll have mine, you have yours.
But anyway, and he went on to say, sing unto him a new song. And why do we sing unto him a
new song? Now the songs we sang, most of them, we sung over and
over and over again. But there are times, beloved,
that they are new to us. But when we sang a new song,
we said, let's make a melody in your heart singing songs unto
the Lord. And because we sang these new
songs, because we have been made new creatures. And we sing and
enjoy the things of God, and we sing the things concerning
Christ. We want the songs to honor Him. We want, in one of these days,
we're going to sing a new song that only the saints know, is
what He said in Revelation. There's a new song that only
the saints know, that only they will sing it. And nobody else
will even know it. We don't even know what it's
going to be until we get there. And when the Lord Jesus sets
us all down around the table, and we're all around Him, we'll
all sing a new song. This is what the scriptures tells
us. I don't know what it will mean, but it will be a new one.
And Ben, let me give you some reasons why, right here in this
psalm, why we rejoice in the Lord. Why we have our joy in
God. First of all, because of His
Word. He said in verse 4, For the Word of the Lord is right.
The Word of the Lord is right. Everything that God says is right. And because God said it, that's
what makes it right. There's nothing that you could
ever find that God ever said that's not right. If you want
to know what's right, go to the book. If you want to know what's
right to deal with a situation, go to the book. You see, everything
God says is right. And that's why we delight in
the Word of God. That's why we rejoice in the
Word of God. And the Word of the Lord is right,
and God is right in all of His Word. And I'll tell you this,
the greatest manifestation of the Word of God that was right,
was the Son of God coming into this world, the Word being made
fresh and sent to dwell among us, and we beheld His glory as
the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace
and full of truth. And God's right when He sent
His Son into this world. We didn't deserve it, but He's
right to do it. Because that's the only way He can stay right
and be holy and just and save sinners like us. So His Word
is right. They despised Christ, but the
Word was right. Everything He said was right.
And oh, and I tell you what, let me tell you something else
about the Word. We rejoice in it because the Word is the only
thing that will make us right. You know anything else to straighten
you out? There's nothing else. There's
nothing else that will make you right if you're thinking In your
heart, in your outlooks, in your relationships, in everything
in this life, this is the only thing that will make you right.
It's the only thing that will make you understand and make
you right with yourself, make you right with others, and especially
make you right with God. And it's the Word that we look
to. Look over here at Psalm 19, just a moment. Look at Psalm
19. That's why the scripture says, by his own will began he
us with what? The word of truth. The word of
truth is what God begot us with. He said, it's the incorruptible
seed that endures forever. You know, when God takes that
seed and puts it in our heart and creates a new life in us,
that incorruptible seed, the Word of God which liveth and
abideth forever, that seed that's in us, that Word that's in us,
it will abide and live forever. This flesh is what's going to
go forever, but that seed in us, that Christ in us, A new
birth, that interruptible seed, it comes in us, that's going
to endure forever, and that's when we heard it in the gospel.
But look what he's saying in Psalm 19, verse 7. Of the law
of the Lord, in the margin, it says the doctrine. The doctrine
of the Lord, the law of the Lord is perfect. We just got through
saying it, it's right. It's perfect. Perfect. And listen, it converts the soul. It makes the soul new. It restores the soul. And listen
to this, the testimony of the Lord is sure. You know what Paul
said? He said, I declare it unto you
the testimony of God. This is the witness that we have
heard of God. That this is life. God's testimony. God's testimony. And this is
God's testimony. Somebody says, what's your testimony?
We say, what God said. That's what our testimony is.
And here he says, the testimony of the Lord is sure. Now a lot
of people testify, I remember I was in a trial one time and
I lied like a dog on that court. I just got scared and got shook
up and I told a lie, right, I told a lie. My testimony wasn't sure,
it was awful. You get a lawyer, he'll get you
all twisted, tangled up, and you don't know if you're up or
down, what you're saying. And I tell you, it turned me
every way but loose. I thought, man, if I get out of here, I'll
never know again. But that's got me stuck in somebody
else's business. But what I'm saying is that the
law of the Lord is sure, the testimony of God is sure. You
can mark it down what God says, the testimony of God is sure.
And watch what he says, and it takes simple just like me and
you and makes us wise. Makes us wise. It's a wise man
that fears the Lord. It's a wise man who trusts Christ.
It's a wise man who knows that Christ is the wisdom of God does. It's a wise man who puts all
his eggs in one basket in the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a wise
man who casts his all on the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a fool
that says in his heart there is no God. It's a fool that goes
through life and never thinks about God. It's a wise man that
God's taught the gospel and he looks to Christ and Christ alone.
It's a wise man. People may say you're a fool,
but God says we're wise. And then look what he says, if
the statutes of the Lord are right, again the word of the
Lord is right. And what does it do? It rejoices the heart.
Lord, when you hear the gospel, the gospel comes to you in power,
the Lord blesses you. Don't your heart rejoice? And
the commandment of the Lord is pure. It has no taint or anything
in it. And guess what it does? It makes
your eyes see things you ain't saw. Lightens them up. Enlightens
them. And oh, the Word of God. Look,
let me show you something else back over here. That's why David
said, Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin
against thee. But not only do we rejoice in
his word, but look at the word of his power. Look down there
in verse 6. By the word of the Lord were
the heavens made, and by the host of them by the breath of
his mouth. Now when you look up to the heavens,
you know how God made the heavens? spoke word oh my the heavens were created
by it God said let there be he said
the heavens he calls the stars by name he called them Orion
and Arcticus and he called all these constellations and stuff
named them all And these astronomers say, how many galaxies are out
there? Just go on and on and on and
on and on. You know, they can't count them.
But I tell you one thing, God's not in them, they're all in God.
God's not in the universe, the universe is in God. And I don't
care how many galaxies there are, God made them all. I don't
care how many stars there are, God made them all. I don't know
how many clouds there are in the sky at one given time in
a 24 hour period, but God made them all, he said, in the dust
of his feet. And he said, when you see the whore frost on the
ground, he said, that's the breath of my mouth. And let men talk
about evolution all they want to, but I tell you, when I look
at the heavens, I know good and well evolution didn't make stars.
I know a big bang didn't put this thing into existence. I
know one thing for sure, that whoever made this, and it's a
good fact, and it's just as way was when the day he made it.
Ain't that right? Oh, bless his holy name. And then let me show you something
else. God's Word, the heavens were made by it, the Word of
His power. And then look over at Psalm 105. You know what He
tries us by? You know what He tries us by? He takes the Word of God, tries
us with the Word of God. That's the same thing the Apostle
said, examine yourselves whether you be in the faith or not, whether
Christ be in you. Whether you be in the gospel,
whether you believe the gospel. And so he says, now look what
he said in Psalm 105. I'm in the wrong place, Psalm
105. In verse 19, let me just look. Psalm 105 verse 19. Look
what he said here. Until the time that his word
came, and the word of the Lord tried him. That's what God tries us with. He tries us by the word. That's
why we keep asking people, do you believe the gospel? The word
tries us. It's quick and powerful, sharper
than any two-edged sword. It pierces to the value of soul
and spirit. And the word of God tries us.
Or do you know? Do you believe? Do you trust?
And oh, bless His name, I tell you. Lord, and I've said this
and I know you have too. Lord, you try me. That's why
David says, search me, know me, try me. And if there be any wicked way
in me, save me, deliver me, and try me. How are you going to
try me? With His Word. With His Word. And oh, let me show you something
else about His Word. And verse 4 again, for the word
of the Lord is right, and we rejoice in all his works are
done in truth. All of his works. How many works
do you reckon God's done since the beginning of creation? Well,
even before the foundation of the world. Well, all his works, whatever
they are, he's done every one of them in truth. Let me ask
you this, is there any imperfection, any flaw in any work that you
think God ever did? Is there any imperfection or
flaw in any work that God's done, that Christ ever did? Is there a perfection in any
imperfection in what? Look at the creation. Oh my,
you go into God's work, every wall is perfectly plumbed. His works are perfect. And Ecclesiastes
says this, His works are perfect and no man can add to it or take
from it. Why would we want to add to anything
He done? Why would we want to take anything
from it? His works are perfect and I tell
you what beloved, His works in creation. My soul, His works
in creation. Incredible, the works of God
in creation. I love the works of God in creation. And His salvation, they're all
done in truth. And I tell you what, and here's
the thing about salvation, that's a work of God. They asked Him,
what work must we do to work the works of God? And He says,
this is the work of God that you believe on Him whom the Father
has sent. And that means that it's God's
work in you that causes God's work in you, that's salvation.
Now, if His salvation is not perfect, then where are we going
to find a perfect salvation? Now, we're not perfect. in this
flesh, but as far as God is concerned, His salvation is perfect, and
He calls us perfect. I read a verse yesterday, maybe
some notes on it, and it says, you know, confirmed in Christ
Jesus, blameless in that day. Blameless! Perfect! He has perfected forever, them
that are saved of God. And I tell you what, His salvation
is done in truth, and what that means is this, that our salvation
is much by the justice of God as it is by the grace of God.
He said, Look unto me and be ye saved, all ye ends of the
earth, I am a just God. That means that I will by no
means clear the guilty. I will not at all acquit the
wicked. Well, I'm guilty! Wicked! Well, how in the world
is He going to save me who is guilty and equip me who is wicked? You know how He does it? He sent
His Son. And His Son took my place, your
place. And God said, I'm not truly guilty.
He said, I'm guilty. Put their sins on my count. Put
their iniquities on my count. Put their transgressions on my
count. And he said, and I bear their sins in my own body. He
said, Father, lay it on me, put it all on me, put all their transgressions,
put all their iniquities, put all their weight, put all their
transgressions, put them on me. And then in justice you punish
me. And that way, that man who comes
to me and looks to me, and what I did in just satisfying your
justice, and what I did putting away sin by the sacrifice of
myself, and what I did that I satisfied your holy justice, that man that
looks to me and says, Lord, you'll be a just God then to save him
because he's been punished. Because he ain't got by with
nothing. Now that's a salvation you can
live with. You know, we've been punished. I ain't got no sin. Why don't I? Christ put them
away. And if God don't, you know what? I heard Tom Ivers said this one
day. He said, God, the reason God
can't find sins is because there ain't none to find. He said, you can't find something
that's gone. Did you hear what Jesus said
to me? They're all taken away. Gone. Gone. To be saved by grace is not to
be saved at the expense of truth. Grace and truth came by Jesus
Christ. Truth to reveal God. Grace to
redeem man. Listen. Look what it said in verse 5.
Let me hurry up here. Here's another thing that we
rejoice in him. In verse 5. He loves righteousness
and judgment. Oh, rejoice in God who loves
righteousness. Oh my, what about a God who didn't
love righteousness and judgment? There's lots of Gods in this
world who don't love righteousness, don't love judgment. But our
God does. He loves it. He loves us. He loves us so much that He made
us like His Son. Righteous in His Son. And He
brought judgment on that. And then look here. The earth.
Oh, rejoice in this. The earth is full of the goodness
of the Lord. The earth is full of His goodness.
Boy, I know that, don't you? I get up every day, James, and
I say, Boy, the Lord's good. He's good. He's good. Every day. Mary, you know anybody's
been as good to anybody as me and her? All our lives. All our lives. Goodness. And
I look everywhere I look and see His goodness. Oh, His goodness. Goodness to have you. Goodness
to be here. Goodness of the gospel. Goodness
of His grace. Goodness of His mercy. Goodness of His salvation, the
goodness of the sun coming up, the goodness when it snows. God
is good. And everything He does for us
is good. He's never ever done anything
against us that's not good. Paul was in jail and he sang
praises because he said the Lord is good. Joseph said this, he said, God
sent me before you to preserve you. God is good. You fellas
done it for evil, but God was good and you know what He did?
He sent me here to save you because you're good. You're evil, but
He's good. That's why He said He causes
the rain to fall on the just and the unjust, on the wicked
and the evil. And where in the world can you
look and not see His goodness and His mercy? My little brother,
Michael David, had a stroke, was in the hospital three or
four days, got to come home today. Called him, talked to him. Not
interested in hearing. I said, I'll pray for you. God
have mercy on you. Did they have anything to say? And all this is the goodness
of God that didn't let him go on out into eternity. Let him
live just a little longer. But just look at yourself at
the goodness of God. Look at the goodness of God in
your home. Oh, the goodness of God in your home. You sit down
to good meals, drive a good car, have money, place to worship,
have a Bible, have people that love you, people that pray for
you. Oh, my. Children that love you. And look at your children. Look
at your brethren. Look at your faith. Oh, the goodness
of God that gave us faith. But you want to know where you
see the goodness of God more than any place else? In His blessed
Son. Oh, God commendeth His love toward
us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Oh, God's good. Another reason we rejoice in
him. Verse 8 and 9. Let all the earth fear the Lord.
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For
He spake, and it was. He commanded, and it stood fast. Oh my! When he says the earth, Oh my! He's fake, and it was. He's fake and it was. Light,
and it was. Separate the light from the darkness,
night, day, and it was. He said let us make a man, and it was. There's a man. Oh my,
look over in Colossians. I want you to see this. Keep
this and look in Colossians chapter 1. You're talking about how God
created the world. How He spaked the world into
existence. You know, in Colossians chapter 1, in verse 16, Now you're an absolute, and I
don't know, there's rarely, rarely a college anywhere or school
that you can go to, now a public school, where they will absolutely
mock you if you believe in creation. Really kill you if you believe
in creation. I mean, you're just an idiot. Well, I'll be a fool for Christ's
sake. But look what he said here in
Colossians 1.16, and we're talking about He spake and it was done,
He commanded and it stood fast. For by Him, now listen to this,
were all things created. Who is Christ? He's the Word
of God. In the beginning was the Word,
the Word was with God, the same was in the beginning with God,
and all things that was made was made by Him, and without
Him was not anything made that was made. And that's what He
says, for by Him, all things that were created, they in heaven,
whatever's up there, He made it. Things in earth, everything
you see down here, He made it. If you can see it, He made it. If you can't see it, He made
it. You see a throne anywhere, anybody
raised up to be a king, a president, somebody in power, He put them
there. Dominions, oh, He said, I'm going
to let you have this much dominion. I'm going to let you reach from
this place to that place. From the Atlantic Ocean over
to the Pacific Ocean up to Canada down to America. That's going
to be your dominion, America. God set the dominions. And listen
to this, principalities, that means governments, pleas, whatever,
powers, all things were created by Him and for Him. And listen
to this, if anybody is going to make all these things, that
means He was before theirs all made. And He is before all things. And you know how they keep on
keeping on? By Him. That's what he meant when he
said, and it stood fast. Do you know things stand fast
today? It's just the way God made it. Can God's Word be made void? Does evolutionists and atheists
and Pharisees and false professors and false interpreters of His
Word, do they make it void because they say it's not so? Huh? Oh no, God never speaks in vain. He said just like the rain that
comes down and waters the earth, makes the grass to grow, makes
the food to grow, and the snow that comes down, not like it
goes back up, but it comes down and it waters the earth so we
can have some grass, so we can have some earth, so we can have
some food. He said that's just exactly the way my word is. He
said I send it, And it's going to do like that rain and snow,
it's going to come down here and it's going to stay, and it's
going to accomplish exactly what I intended to do. And it may
fall over a rock, and then it falls over here in this pretty
valley. It may fall a bunch and bunch of thorns, but it also
falls over here in this good green pasture. It's in the phrase there. And
oh beloved, God never speaks in vain. In what He's promised,
He's able also to perform. And that's why it says, rejoice
in the Lord. When God says, He spake, and it was. Ain't that
what it says? He said, He spake, and it was. He said, I say unto thee, live.
Do they live? And then let me hurry. Let me
give you another one here real quick. Oh, we rejoice in His
knowledge. Look at verse 11. No, excuse me, verse 10. Look
at his knowledge here. The Lord bringeth the counsel
of the heathen to nothing. He maketh the devices of the
people of none effect. What that means is that he knows
exactly what's going on in men's minds and hearts. The Lord bringeth
the counsel of the heathens to nothing. He makes their devices
to be of none effect. You know why God saints have
the wisdom of this world? He casts his foolishness. Absolute foolishness. In fact
they said about the Lord Jesus Christ that we will not have
this man to reign over us. You know where he is at right
now? They said it is right in God with all power and authority
that is in him. They said oh he is going to reign
over us. Well he is. He is. Whether they know it or not he
is. He is. In fact he looked at them and
said you know what you are going to see me again. He said, every
one of y'all that did this to me, he said, you will see me
again. You will see me in my glory. He said, every one of
you will see me. And that's why they said, that's
enough. We don't need to hear no more blasphemy. But just as
sure as he sits on his throne, every single soul, All them Pharisees
and all them Romans, all of them will stand right there. Every
one of them has something to do with it. They will stand right
there and they will look at him and they will say, Oh, what did
we do? And you know what will happen?
Every one of them will bow down. Do you know what we're doing
right now in our heart? We're bowing right now. And we
rejoice that this man reigns over us. Let me show you this
quickly. We've got a minute or two left.
You're looking flippant. Let me show you what I'm talking
about. Where they count men. Men, they make their devices
and then God just overrides it. He said He makes their devices
of none effect. Look what Paul said here in Philippians
chapter 1 verse 14. Here's what happened. They thought
we'll put Paul the apostle in jail. We'll put him in bonds.
We'll make him a bondman. We'll put him in prison. We'll
shut him up. We'll put him down. We'll put him where he can't
get out and preach. And look what it said here. He
said, My bonds in Christ are manifest in the palace and all
other places and many other brethren. But note in verse 12, but I would
you should understand brethren that the things which happened
unto me have fallen out rather than the furthest of the gospel.
He said they put him in jail. He said, you know what? They
thought they'd shut it up. And the gospel just gotten bigger
and better and stronger and reaching farther than it ever has. Because
everybody knows what's going on. So that my bonds in Christ
are manifest in all the palaces and all other places. And listen
to what happens. They say, well boy, oh boy, I
don't want to go out there and preach and say they do me like
they did Paul. But look what happens. And many
of the brethren of the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds,
are much more bold to speak the word without fear. I said, we'll
shut old Paul up and all these preachers up. God just said,
I'll make no devices, nothing. And boy, the gospel just went
farther and the people got, preachers got to waxing bolder. And then
last of all, let me show you this. I believe this. No, I got
one more. Look here in verse 11. Look at his faithfulness.
Verse 11. The counsel of the Lord standeth
forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Oh,
the will of God, the counsel of God. He works all things after
the counsel of his own will. And the counsel of the Lord stands
forever. I mean, what his purpose is, what his will is, what his
counsel is, it stands like he does forever. And then look what
he says, his thoughts are to all generations, generation after
generation after generation after generation. From Adam, Enoch,
Noah, Seth, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, And on and on and
on and on, generation after generation. And here we are, 2,000 years
after he was crucified. Thousands of years after the
garden. And his thoughts are still towards
us. You know what man is for? Famous
for vain words, but the Lord is famous. for his thoughts toward
us. And then last of all, let me
show you this. Verse 12, Blessed is the nation whose God is the
Lord, and the people whom he hath chosen
for his own inheritance. Election here is manifest in
two ways. Blessed is the nation. We're
a holy nation. We are a holy nation. That's
what Paul called us. A holy nation. God's people is a holy nation.
And he says, blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. God is
our Lord. And then look what he says. He
hath chosen, and the people hath chosen for his inheritance. He
chose us as a nation, then he chose us as individuals. Huh? The election is what this is.
No wonder God said, Blessed is the man whom thou choosest and
causes to approach unto thee. Oh, in the day of His power,
His people are made willing. This business of election and
grace and salvation wasn't an afterthought with God. It's like
Himself, it's eternal. And one of the greatest spiritual
blessings that we have, and Paul called them about spiritual blessings.
You know what the first one he mentioned? He said, He has blessed us with
all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. And the
first one he said, according as he hath chosen us, elected
us in Christ. Where did he do that for the
foundation of the world? Why did he do it? That we should
be holy and without blame. Oh, rejoice in the Lord. Rejoice
in the Lord. That's just a drop in the bucket
to how we should rejoice in Him. Our Father, oh, gracious,
gracious Father, oh, thank you. Oh, bless you for allowing me
to meet you tonight. Thank You for Your Word. Oh,
Your Word is right. It's true. It's powerful. You
create the world by it and uphold it by the Word of Your power.
And Lord, You saved us by it. You instruct us by it. You improve us by it. You make
us right by it. Oh, blessed be the name of the
Lord for Your Word. And God, these dear saints now,
they've got to go home. They've got to work. Things they
must deal with, God bless them. Lord, encourage them and strengthen
them. And Father, again, we pray for Peggy that you continue to
strengthen her and bless you for her and great love for which
she loves us all. and the great compassion she
has in this trial she's having now. God help her. Strengthen
her. Encourage her. And bless His
Savior. We pray for Darren and Kim. Be with them through this. Give
them some comfort. Help them with the fear and the
doubt and the anxiety. Lord, we know you can. We know
you're able. And we ask these things in Christ's
name. Amen. Amen. Do we sing just one verse? A
wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, a wonderful Savior is Jesus
to me. He hides my soul in the cleft
of the rock where rivers of pleasure I see. He hideth my soul in the
cleft of the rock where shadows of God first he layeth. He hideth my life in the depths
of His love, and covers me with His hand. And covers me with His hand. Amen.
