Here we see in verse 6, I want
to deal with four verses today by God's grace. It's verse 6,
Isaiah 25, 6. And in this mount shall the Lord
of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things. Feast of wines on the leaves,
of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the leaves well refined. And He will destroy and dismount
the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil
that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory. And the Lord God will wipe away
tears from off all faces, and the rebuke of His people shall
He take away from off all the earth, for the Lord hath spoken
it. And it shall be said in that
day, that day of this feast, that day when the covering's
taken off, that day when death is swallowed up in victory. This
is our God. We've waited for Him, and He'll
save us. This is the Lord. We've waited
for Him. We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. You know, the Scriptures tell
us over in 1 Peter that the prophets inquired diligently, looked into
the Scriptures, inquired diligently into the Scriptures so that they
could tell us and search diligently. And they did it by the Spirit
and power of Christ, searched diligently of that salvation,
inquired into that salvation and that grace that should come
unto us. And this is one of those verses, and this is some of the
things I'm sure that when they read it and they searched diligently,
who's he talking about? What is this feast? What is this
business of death? What is this business of all
people? We're Jews. We're Jews. We're called of God.
We're separated from all the nations of the world. So what
is this all this people talking about? This feast for all people. And so they searched diligently
into it. But I tell you, the verses that
I've read this morning to you, apart from the gospel of the
grace of God, they have no meaning at all. No meaning at all. And I pray by the help of the
Holy Ghost that this gospel that's set here before our eyes, that
God enable us to see it, to hear it. As Kim sung, I heard the
voice of Jesus say, may we hear his voice say to us today. May
he hear him speak to us today. So here's this great feast. God's
made a feast. The Lord made a feast. That's
my subject today. The Lord made a feast. And look
what it says, and in this mountain, verse six, shall the Lord of
hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things. Here's the place
where he made this feast. It's called in this mountain.
Now, wherever you find the mountain in the scriptures, it's a kingdom,
always represents a kingdom. And you know, he brings down,
he said down here, bring down the mountain of Moab. He'll bring it down. The kingdom
of Moab, he's going to bring it down. And you look over in
Isaiah 2, and I'll show you what I'm talking about, about a mountain.
Whenever you find a mountain, Mount Zion, that's the kingdom
of God, that's the church, that's the place where God dwells. It
was Mount Sinai where God gave the law, and that's why He says,
you know, Mount Sinai. We've not come unto Mount Sinai,
but unto Mount Zion, the city of the living God. Now look what
it says here in verse 2 of Isaiah 2. And this shall come to pass
in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be
established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted
above all the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it, and
many people shall come. Go and say, Come, ye, and let
us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God
of Jacob, and he will teach us of his way. And we will walk
in his path, for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the
word of the Lord from Jerusalem. So when he says this place, back
over in Isaiah, this place where this feast is going to be, it's
going to be in this mountain. This kingdom of God, this kingdom
that God sent to them. And so it's the kingdom of God
and the people of God he's talking about. God appoints this feast.
And the place where he appointed it shall be on this mountain.
You see, it says, this mountain shall the Lord have host. In
this kingdom, in this mountain, way up here high, where God's
exalted. And this is the place where I'll
appoint this feast. He's the Lord of hosts. He's
the Lord over all the armies of heaven. He's the Lord over
all the angels of heaven. He's the Lord over all things
on this earth. And it says here He's appointed
a feast. And He's the sovereign. And He's
appointed Zion. He's the one that appointed Mount
Zion as the place where He's going to reveal His glory. He
said, we've not come under Mount Zion, but under Mount Zion to
an incumbable company of angels and the spirits of just men made
perfect. And that's where we've come under
Mount Zion. And God's appointed Mount Zion where He's going to
reveal His glory. And Mount Zion is His church.
That's His people. That's where He dwells. He dwells
in His people. That's where He brings His glory
and He reveals His glory. His glory is revealed in His
people. where he's given his grace to his people, he's given
his power to his people, he's given his salvation to his people.
And that's the place of his revealed glory. He's also got another
mountain, Mount Calvary. You know, when
Abraham went up on a mountain, he said, I and the ladder go
up on that mountain and there we're going to worship and we're
going to return. And beloved God appointed Mount Calvary,
that's the place where He reveals His grace. That's the place where
He reveals His justice. That's the place where He reveals
sin being put away. That's the place where He reveals
how grace is shown to His people, how He can be just and justify. Their own Calvary's cross, their
own Mount Calvary. Jesus was taken out to a place
called Calvary. And there, beloved, they crucified
Him. And there, Christ was sent forth
to be a propitiation. God sent Him forth. And this
place called Calvary is where He revealed His grace. And in
this place, this is what I want us to understand. God set this
mountain up to reveal His grace. And what grace it is. What grace
it is that God would take sin, my sin, the sins of His people,
and charge them to His Son, wound Him for our transgressions, lay
on Him the iniquity of us all, this all people, lay unto Him
the iniquity of us all. And that Christ would willingly
bear that sin, their own poverty, and even be forsaken of God,
in order for God to be just in putting away sin and punishing
sin, so He could turn around and show us grace on the basis
of justice. That's grace. God did not have
to do that. He could have, when Adam sinned,
He could have turned His back on this world and been just.
But you know what He did? He slew an animal and he shed
his blood and he took his clothes off the skin off of it and went
to Adam and brought Adam out from that bush and covered him
in that blood and covered him in those clothes and beloved,
that's what God done for us in Calvary. Found us! Naked head! Shed his son's blood! washed us from our sins in His
own blood, and then covered us with His righteousness, and said,
I've judged Him doing that. Now I can show grace, because
there ain't no sin there. And I tell you, watch what it
says, the Lord of hosts makes unto all people a feast. The
Lord makes this feast. The Lord's the one that made
this feast. For man didn't have nothing to do with this. That's
what I love about it. The Lord of the Halls made this
great feast. God made this feast. And I wish
folks would understand that. This is God's work. This is God's
doing. You know, this is not man ain't
got a thing. This God just said, I'm going
to make a feast. And look why He makes it for
us. A Lord of hosts makes a feast unto all people. Now when he
says all people here, do you reckon he means everybody on
the face of the earth? I've went through this word all
so many times over the years, but the feast of all people here,
this is why they've been so diligently inquired in this. How in the
world When he says that nobody but the Jews, the Jews says,
you know, that's why they wouldn't have anything to do with the
Gentiles. And they could not understand that God was going
to reach out and save people from every kindred, every tribe,
every tongue, every people on the face of the earth. And so
when he makes a feast unto all people, he's making them out
of every country, every tribe, every character, every type,
man, woman, Child, black, white, everywhere you go, on the top
side of God's earth, there's been some of God's people. And
this is the feast that he's made for these people. You know, and
then when he made a feast, you know, in Matthew 22, it says
there that the king made a great marriage supper for his son. And he bid those that, he says,
now go call them that were bidding to the feast. And they all began
to make excuses, make excuses, make excuses. And when Christ
was in this world, all the Jews began to make excuse, make excuse,
make excuse. And people make excuses. They
make excuses. They find every reason in the
world not to come to Christ. They find, I don't feel like
I'm saved. I didn't feel any experience.
I didn't, I didn't, I don't feel like I have enough faith. You
know, you got to feel something. But here's the thing about it,
beloved. Salvation is knowing these people made all these excuses,
and they made all these excuses. You know what our Lord said?
He said, just leave them alone now. If they want to make their
excuses, if they don't want to come, if they don't want to come
to this marriage supper, if they don't want the clothes put on
when they come in this marriage supper, just let them alone.
He said, I'll tell you what you do. You go out into the highways,
the byways, and the hedges, and you compel the hawk to blame
the poor, bring them in. And, beloved, that's what the
Holy Ghost did. He went and found a bunch of people like us, blind,
deaf, halt, lame, and poor, and compelled us to come in. Everybody's
making excuses, and He compelled us. We made them, too. And, oh,
beloved, let me tell you something about God. People say He's no
respect of persons. He ain't. He is no respect of
persons. He said, The Lord made this feast
unto all people. He's no respect of persons. Now
what does that mean? That means that God is not moved
or drawn out to any soul on the face of this earth by who they
are. Folks just, you know, they get
around a celebrity, can I get your autograph? Want to get close
to the president? Want to get close to a senator?
Want to get close to somebody? God is not, does not, He raised
up kings and He sent down kings. Kings don't impress Him. He don't
care what their thrones are like. He don't care how much power
they got in this world. He's got all power. And I tell
you, ain't nobody sitting on a throne. Ain't nobody in position
that he didn't give it to. And I tell you, he's not moved.
The president or every king is going to come the same way that
anybody else is going to come. They're going to come on their
face before God. That's what it means when he's no respective
person. He don't care what you've done. People get up and say,
I'm in this book, and I made that book, and I've got this
PhD, and I went to this school, and I graduated from that school,
and I got from this seminary, and I've done this thing in this
world, and I've done that thing in this world, and I've helped
the poor kids, and I've helped the poor people. They've done
all these things. Don't move God one out. Don't impress God
at all. You know, he said he's the one
that feeds the poor. He's the one that strengthens
the needy. He don't care who you know. He don't care who you know. Laws
doctor says, you know who I am? You know who I am? He don't care
who you know. Well, I know so-and-so. You know
so-and-so? Yeah, I know so-and-so. They
like power by association. He don't care who you know. He
is not impressed by who you know. He's only impressed by who you
rub elbows with. And I'll tell you something else
that means he's no respecter. He don't care what you possess. People say, well, you know, he's
impressed because they're poor people. God's got to do something
for them. No. You know, that's why Simon Peter,
our Lord Jesus said, how hardly shall the rich inherit the kingdom
of God. It'll be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
And that's literal. That is literal. He said, so
that's how hard it is for a rich man to inherit the kingdom of
God. Why is that right? Because men trust in their riches.
And the sad thing about it is, you know, a lot of folks trust
in riches that don't have a lot of riches. But anyway, our Lord
says this, how hardly shall a rich man enter
into the kingdom of heaven. And Simon Peter backed up and
said, Lord, if the rich can't be saved, if they by all their
giving, if they by all their philanthropy, if they by all
their wealth can't get into the kingdom of God, what in the world
are we going to do? He says, with men, this is impossible. But with God, all things are
possible. And He don't care, let me tell
you, not only what you possess, but He don't care what you know.
What you know. Boy, I tell you, you watch the
news in the day, and you know how many experts they'll have
on one given day on the news? They've got an expert for this,
they've got an expert for that, they've got an expert for another
thing. And all the experts got all their expertise out of a
book. Most of them never had it out or got it out of life
at all. But there's, I'm an expert. Oh, I'll tell you what, he's
an expert. Well, I'll tell you what, God
don't care what kind of experts you are. He does not care. He's not impressed. That's what
it means. He makes a feast unto all people.
Unto all people. And let me show you something
else that says here. In verse 6, And in this mound shall the
Lord of hosts make a feast unto all people. And look at this
feast. Look what's provided for all
these people. And this feast is like God Himself.
This feast is full, it's rich, it's free, it's plentious, and
everything is the best. Look what He says, A feast of
fat things. A feast of fat things. You know,
we live in this day, and I'm one of the worst for it. I kind
of try to watch what I eat. I do. And you know, you get all
this fat-free stuff and it don't have no taste at all. I mean,
it's just awful. Well, God don't. He said, I want you to have the
fattest things there are. I want you to have the richest
things there are. I want you to have something
that's got some substance to it, some taste to it, some delight
in it. You can taste it. You can enjoy
it. You can get fat on it. That's what he wants us to do.
And oh beloved, that's why he says that prodigal, when he comes
home, the father says, kill the what? Fattened calf. Oh beloved, what is it? The gospel
is full of fat things. Fat things dissatisfy us perfectly. The blood of Christ, oh how it
satisfies us. Oh, my eternal thanks, the eternal
election of God, the eternality of Christ, oh, the eternal redemption,
this eternal hope we have, eternal election. Oh, and grace, oh,
grace, grace, grace, grace, full, free, Powerful, omnipotent, sovereign,
free, grace! Oh, how fat that word's got in
it! How much meaning does that have,
word? How much taste does that word have in it? How much weight,
how full does it make you when you start eating on the grace
of God? Oh, grace! Just the very word
tells us that everything's done for us, that everything, God
sets the table for us. And the first thing He sets on
the table is Christ and everything that goes with Him. The earth
is the Lord in the fullest hour. And oh, beloved, what about redemption? We hear about redemption. Payment
price been made. The blood's been shed. The sin's
been put away. He laid down His life and gave
His life for ransom for many. Redemption has been paid and
everyone for whom Christ died will enjoy that redemption. And
all regeneration that God comes along and He gives us life. He gives us this life where we
can taste these things, hear these things, delight in these
things, and we come to sit at the table. You remember Mephibosheth
when he was brought to David? David said, I'll tell you what
I want you to do. I want you to set him at my table, and he
don't eat the king's provision from the rest of his life. I
want him to set at my table, and what I eat, that's what he
eats. Set him at the king's table. He didn't want the king. When
the king's eating ham, Mephibosheth's eating ham. Well, they don't eat ham. Well,
you know what? We eat ham. Oh, my. And, oh, He regenerates
us for we can hear, we can taste. We can taste that the Lord is
gracious. Taste that the Lord is good.
Taste and see. And, oh, justification. Take a bite out of that. Take
a bite of justification. That we stand before God justified
in the courts of heaven. And I take a bite of this, that
our justification is eternal. It started before we was ever
born. For whom He did foreknow them,
He also justified. When did He justify us? He justified
us when Christ went as a lamb slain before the foundations
of the world. He justified us when Christ went to the cross.
And for our sins, He justified us when He raised Him again from
the dead. Dead, He's our justification. And then when He called us by
the gospel, we experienced that justification. Oh my, what's
God's justification for accepting me, receiving me? Christ. Oh, take you a big bite out of
that. Oh, blessings, these blessings, righteousness. Righteousness. The righteousness of God Himself
is ours. We'll be no more righteous when
we get into eternity than we are at this minute. Oh, my! Take a big bite out of
that! Oh, these blessings, they feed
us. They encourage us. They cheer
us. They inspire us. And let me tell
you, there's no reason, no reason for a person to have leanness
of soul with so much to eat. The only reason you have leanness
of soul is you just don't come to the table. The table's set. The table's set. And look what else it says, not
only a feast of fat things, but look what it says, a feast of
wines on the leaf. Now watch this, a fat thing's
full of myrrh. Full of marrow. You know what this means? I'll
look this up. It means to rub with grease. To make it really,
really rich. You hear some say, boy, that's
so rich. You know, that means, you know, take whatever you're
making, get it out, whatever you're cooking, get you a bunch
of grease and rub all over it. Make it shiny. Make it rich.
Make it full. Make it full body. Make it full
of taste. Make it full of fat things. Make
it just, make it as good as you can possibly make it. Oh my! And you know, beans ain't no
good without fat in them. Potatoes, you know back when
we used to fry potatoes in lard? Man, they tasted so good! Oh my goodness! Biscuits! People, you know, used
to make biscuits and put a big gob of lard in it, you know.
Now we eat this here granola and flanola and all that, you
know. Oh, that's all the stuff, you know, that takes all the
taste out of stuff. Now we put chicken cubes and
stuff like that in green beans so it won't be fat. Oh, but God
says, boy, I said, I want you to be fat. Get you a gob of a
big bunch of grease and roll around on that fat. And you bring
it out, man, oh, that looks so good. Oh, I got to be the first
one to get a bite of that. That's what God says. Full of
my food that's so rich. And oh, doesn't the gospel so
rich, huh? And then look what it says, this
food, that's the feast, feast of fat things. Then look what
it says, a feast of wines on the leaves, of wines on the leaves,
well refined, of wines. This wine's well refined, this
wine's on the leaves. That means it's the very best.
You know, the gospel's called the wine. The gospel makes the
heart glad. And you know the best, the strongest
body winds, kept the longest, you know, the long on the leaves,
that means it's laid down. You know, it's laid down, it's
aged, it's clear, it's fine, and no sentiment in it. Oh my,
and the gospel. The gospel makes the heart merry,
just like wine does. Let me show you something. Look
with me over here in Proverbs. Look back over in Proverbs. You
know, for the heavy hearted, the gospel of the grace of God
lifts the burdens. Look with me in Proverbs 31.
For the heavy hearted, you come in here heavy hearted. How many
times? Mary told me this morning, she said, I hope you got something
good today. She said, I really need it. I really need it. That's what we do. You know,
we come in here heavy hearted sometimes. We come in here discouraged.
We come in here with fangs on our mind. And for the heavy hearted,
the burden, the gospel of grace lifts those burdens. Look what
it says here down in verse 6. Proverbs 31.6. Give strong drink
unto him that's ready to perish. and wine unto those that be of
heavy hearts. Let him drink, and forget his
poverty, and remember his misery no more." Ain't that what the
gospel does for you? It does that for me. Oh, ready to
perish? Give him the gospel. Heavy hearted? Give him the gospel. You know,
God talked about the gospel being full of wine. He puts new wine
in new bottles. He don't put old wine, new wine
in old bottles. He makes the bottles new with
the wine new. And He turned the water into
wine. And He said, this ain't the best for the last. And that's
what He does for us. We've got the best. We've got
the gospel. And let Him drink. Forget just
how poor He is. We ain't poor anymore. You know
why? We're rich in Christ, and watch this, and remember he's
misery no more. The gospel takes away your misery.
Look with me over to Psalm 104. The gospel's clear, refined,
always good. It's old. It's aged. This gospel
here is the gospel that's only been only, you know, as long
as God's been, the gospel's been. That's how old it is. Ain't no
sediment in it. Ain't no bad taste in it. It's
the strongest, it's the best. Look here at Psalm 104 and verse
14. He causes the grass to grow for
the cattle, and herb for the service of man, that he may bring
forth fruit out of the earth, and wine that maketh glad the
heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread
which strengthens his heart. He gives us wine, Gives us the
Holy Spirit to make our face shine, and Christ our bread to
strengthen our heart. Gospel makes our heart glad.
Christ the Holy Spirit makes our face to shine, that bread
which comes down. Oh my, is that not the gospel? And I'll tell you it's old, it's
aged, it's the gospel of God. And that's why if it's true,
it's not new. And if it's new, it's not true.
The gospel is I, wide-aged as old as God. And then look back
over with me here in Isaiah 25. Look here what it says about
in verse 7. Here we have a full salvation. This gospel, this feast that
God makes for us, it's a full, you know, in this great feast,
a full salvation that goes in this gospel. And he says in verse
7, he will destroy in this mountain now, in this kingdom, for his
people and for these people, the face of the covering cast
over all people and the veil to spread over all nations. You
know, this is where he's destroyed the power of the devil. And what
he's talking about here is there's a covering over men's faces.
There's a covering over men's minds. God said, I'm going to
destroy that. I'm going to destroy that. Let me show you what I
mean. You look with me over in 2 Corinthians chapter 3, just a minute. You
remember when Moses came down off the mountain and he had a
veil over his face. He had a veil over his face.
And you remember that our understanding is darkened, being alienated
from the life of God through ignorance, blindness, hardness. Veil taken over our hearts. Veil
over our eyes. Scales was over Paul's eyes.
And it says he will destroy this cover, he will destroy this veil
that's over men's minds, all over all the earth. You know,
Satan kept people in such bondage, and Christ came when he done
came, and the gospel went all over the world. He broke the
back, he broke the bondage, and destroyed the power of the devil
in the sense that people would believe the gospel. Believe the
gospel. Now look here with me in verse
12, 2 Corinthians 3, 12. Seeing that we have such hope,
we use great plainness of speech, and not as Moses. We don't have
a veil over our face. We don't have a veil over our
speech, and not as Moses with a veil over his face. Here's
the reason why the children of Israel could not steadfastly
look to the end of that which is abolished. That glory that
Moses had and the law had was going to be put away, and that's
why Moses put that veil over them. They couldn't look to the
end. But their minds were blinded. Now watch this. For until this
day, the same veil is over their face, the same veil untaken away
in the reading of the Old Testament, which veil is done away in Christ. Well, when we heard the Gospel,
When God gave us this feast and brought us to this feast on this
mountain, I mean He took the veil off our eyes. He took the
veil off our face. He took the veil off our... Now
watch this. But even unto this day when Moses is read, the veil
is upon their heart. Nevertheless, when it shall turn
to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. Now watch this. Now
the Lord is the Spirit. Now the Lord is that Spirit. That spirit that destroys, that
spirit that takes away the veil and where the Spirit of the Lord
is, there is liberty. Liberty to what? To see. Liberty
to believe. Liberty to understand. Freedom
from the law. Freedom from the curse. Freedom
from condemnation. Free to come to this feast. And
now watch this. Behold we with open face. That
means, beloved, we don't have that veil. Beholden is in the
glass the glory of the Lord. Oh, as we behold Him, we're changed
into the same image. So you see, the veil upon the
eyes is taken away. He must do it, and that's why
He says He will destroy it. He has to destroy that veil.
That's why, beloved, if somebody comes along with the veil, with
law, with works, with free will and that, we say, no, no, you
ain't putting that over my face. You ain't putting that, you ain't
breaking that up here. You're not putting that, I'm not going
to, oh, no, no, you're not going to cover me up with that. Huh?
That's why they call, you know, they blindfolded, they hoodwinked.
Well, God takes away the blindfold and the hoodwink. And then look
what else it says here in verse 8, Isaiah 25. Not only will He
take away the veil, destroy that veil, the face of the covering,
and He will swallow up in death. Victory. Even He destroyed death. It's just one of those things
in the feast. Death is destroyed. The power
of death is swallowed up. How do you swallow death? When
you're God, you can. When you're Christ, you can.
Oh my! He'll swallow up death in victory.
He don't have to for a while. Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Scriptures
tells us that. He said, O death, where is thy
victory? O death, where is thy sting?
Death is swallowed up, swallowed up in victory. When Christ come
out of the tomb, death was vanquished right then and there. That's
why, you know, when a believer goes, we just rejoice. I mean,
we hate to part with the flesh, we hate to part with that, and
we just, you know, it's tough. But I'll tell you what, you can
rejoice, you can laugh, you can give thanks to God, you can say,
I'll see you, bye-bye. You know why? Because death. We're in Christ. And when we're
in Christ, though we'll die in this flesh, we'll live forever
with Him. And death is gone. Best end's gone. You know, I'm a living soul in
a dying body. And what Paul says, when this
tabernacle, this tent is destroyed, we'll be clothed, Paul, with
the house not made with hands eternal in the heavens. Oh, my. Would any of y'all like
to go back and live in the houses you was raised in? Huh? No, no, you're very comfortable
where you're at. You want to go back to cutting
that wood and throwing it in that fireplace and freezing to
death all night? Huh? Wind blowing, whistling
through that thing, no insulation in the walls. Who wants to go back to that?
Now that's exactly what it is, you know, staying, wanting to
stay in this body. Standing in an old house that's
windy, creaky, cold, frail, and having that new one. I want
the new one. Turn this one down. Give me that
new one. All right. Oh, listen. He has the keys of death and
hell. And then look what it says. He. It don't say it. Says He. Who's He, you reckon? He will swallow up death. Oh,
my. And look what else it says here.
Look at this comfort. Look at this comfort that He
gives us. And oh, the Lord God will wipe away tears from all
faces. That's what He does when we come
to this feast. You know how He wipes away all tears from all
faces? He takes away the reason for
the tears in this thing. Oh, look with me over here. You
keep Isaiah and Revelation 21 with you. Just a moment. Revelation
21. It says the Lord will wipe away
all tears from all these faces. Wipe away
all tears. In verse 3 it says this, Revelation 21, 3, And I heard
a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God
is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be
his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Now listen, and God, God's going
to do this now. God's going to do this. How many
times have we wept with them that wept, mourned with them
that mourned? We've been brought to tears in
this world. Great sorrow of heart. But God
shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And here's why. And
there shall be no more death. Well, there ain't no death. There's
no reason to cry. And there'll be no sorrow, no
crying. And listen to this, and thou
shalt no more any more pain. There'll be no more pain in your
heart, no more pain in your soul, no more pain in your mind, no
more pain in your body, no more pain. Huh? For all these other
things are passed away. In this mountain, this is what's
going to happen. And let's go back over and look at this. And he will swallow up death,
and verse 8, the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all
faces, and watch this, and the rebuke of his people shall he
take away from off all the earth. The rebuke of his people. And
what does this mean? God's people have always been
ridiculed people. Always have. Always been ridiculed. But this is a twofold He will
take away the rebuke of His people. First of all, there's twofold
rebuke here. He will not rebuke us because
He has no reason to rebuke us. He's taken away our reproach.
Christ bore our reproach. Christ bore our rebuke. So God's
not going to rebuke us. And here's what He's going to
do. All the people that's ridiculed God's people, called us hypocrites,
called us false prophets, called us a cult. He said, them folks
are the craziest people there ever was. I don't believe how
anybody could believe that. I don't understand how anybody
could believe in predestination. I don't believe how anybody could
not believe in free will. You know, those people up there,
they believe that they're righteous all in. They can't be any more
righteous than that. They're going to go to glory
and they can go here, go yonder and all that. I said, oh my.
I thought when you got saved, you quit your sinning. Got right
with God. God's going to vindicate His
people. He'll say, see these people you rebuke, see these
people here that you ridicule, see these people here that says,
I wouldn't go up there for 10,000 worlds like this and hear that
fellow talk about election. I wouldn't go up there and hear
that man talk about predestination for nothing. He's a false prophet. There's going to be so many people
in hell on account of him and his lies. And that's what they
told you. Your families has told you that.
But you know what God's going to do? Say, see all these people
over here you rebuke. And you made fun of, and you
ridiculed. He said, they're mine. They're mine. You're the one
that was a fool. You're the one that was a liar.
You're the one that was a hypocrite. You're the one that trusted in
your own righteousness. These folks right here didn't
trust in nobody but me. And nobody but one or nothing
but what I did. They, beloved, trusted in my
grace, in my power, in my victories, in my righteousness, in my mercy,
in my power. They come and trusted in nobody
but me. And you trusted in everything
but me. And he'll vindicate every one of his people. And you know
what they'll say? Oh, they'll begin to weep and
mourn. Oh, hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on that throne
in the wrath of the Lamb. Oh, He's going to vindicate us.
And look what it says here in the last part of verse 8. For
the Lord hath spoken it. God said that's what it's going
to be. Oh, and listen now, let me wind it up and look at the
testimony of all these people. Look at this testimony here of
these people. And it shall be said in that day, oh boy, when
we come to this feast, when we've eaten these fat things, drunk
this good wine, that veil's been taken, cover's been taken off
of us, death has been destroyed, we're not afraid of it. Oh, God's
wiped away our tears, He's removed our rebuke, and this shall be
said on that day. Hey, oh, this is our God. This is our God. He acts like
God. Huh? He says like God. He feeds like God. He provides
like God. We say this is our God. Do you
know why we speak what we know? We tell what we know, that's
what we say. What we believe, that's what
we speak. This is our God. And look what it says. And we've
waited for Him. And we wait on Him. We wait on
Him at the table. We wait on Him for the Gospel.
We wait on Him for this day when all will be saved eternally.
We'll wait for the day when He'll take us out of this world. We
have waited for Him. And He'll save us. Amen, beloved. I'll tell you something. Noah
waited. Did he wait? Noah waited. Abraham waited. God said, Abraham
waited. God fulfilled His promise. Simeon
waited for the promise of Israel. I'm waiting. Oh, beloved, look what it says. We waited for Him, and watch
this, we will be glad and rejoice in what? His salvation. Down in verse 4 of chapter 26,
and I'm through. Oh, trust ye in the Lord forever. For in the Lord Jehovah, is everlasting
strength. And you look in the margin as
it says, the rock of ages. Everlasting rock of ages. The
Lord made a feast. The Lord made a feast. Have you
ate from it? Have you been to it?
