It is astounding that a believer would say;"I will not believe except I see".
But one did!

raised from the dead and appeared
to Mary in the garden, and she went and told them disciples,
I have seen the Lord. And that's what I say. I've seen
the Lord. Isaiah said, I've seen the Lord. I saw the Lord. How I lifted
up. Job said, I've seen. I've heard of you with the hearing
of the ear, but now my eye sees you. So there's people that see
they've seen the Lord. And that's what she says. She
said, I've seen the Lord. I've seen the Lord. Now watch
this. Stephen saw Him standing at the
right hand of the throne. That's right. And then it says
in verse 19, then the same day at evening before the first day
of the week. This would be on a Saturday,
you know, on a Sabbath day, because the first day of the week for
them is Sunday. When the doors were shut, for the disciples
were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in
the midst. and saith unto them, Peace be
unto you." Why would he say, Peace be unto you? Because there
he's saying, all of a sudden they're standing there and they're
scared to death. Jews are going to come and get them. And all
of a sudden this man appears right in the midst of them. Don't
know where he come from, how he got there. And he appears
in front of them. And naturally they'd be afraid,
they'd be anxious, they'd be, who is this? And he just says,
Peace. Peace be unto you, peace to your
heart, peace to your mind, peace to your spirit. And when he had
so said, what's this now? He showed unto them his hands
and his side. Why would he do that? That he
was indeed risen from the dead, and he had the evidences in his
body. And he said, here's my hands, look at my side. And watch
what happens then. Then were the disciples glad.
When they saw the Lord, you know, it's one thing for somebody to
say, Mary said, I've seen Him. Now they can say, I saw Him.
And they were glad. Then said Jesus again, Peace
be unto you. As my Father has sent me, even
so send I you. My Father sent me with a message. My Father sent me with a work.
My Father sent me to give Him glory. My Father sent me to speak
His Word and to do His will. And that's what I'm sending you
to do. I'm not sending you to do great... I'm sending you to
do what I did. To manifest the Word of God. To give glory to God. To obey
God. Do the work that God gave you
to do. And seek the honor and glory
of my Father. And when he hath said this, he
breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.
And whosoever sins you remit, they are remitted unto them.
And whoever sins you retain, they are retained. The only disciples
had that, the apostles had that power. There's the man sitting at the
lame gate, and he says, silver and gold have I none, but in
the name of Jesus Christ I give unto you. And he jumped up and
began to live. And Peter and Paul had this ability
and these powers. You know, he told Simon Magus,
he says, your sins, you're in the gall of bitterness, and you're
going to perish in your gall of bitterness. They knew. And
then he says here, but Thomas, Thomas, and this is where my
message starts, unbelief in a believer. Now, this is the thing. Believers
are not in unbelief anymore, but unbelief is still in believers.
But Thomas, one of the twelve called Didymus, was not with
them when Jesus came. Well, he came to them, you know,
after Mary Magdalene saw him, and they saw him and seen evidence
of him. He gave them a message. He stood with them, talked with
them, told them what he was going to do for them, gave them the
presence of the Holy Ghost to do their work with. But Thomas,
he wasn't with them. And then the disciples therefore
said unto him, they saw him, told him, said, We have seen
the Lord. said exactly what Mary said, we have seen the Lord.
Thomas, Thomas, Thomas, we've seen the Lord. Oh my, but he said unto them,
except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put
my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into
his sight. What an astounding statement.
What an astounding statement coming from a believer, from
an apostle. I will not believe. My word. I will not believe. And now after
eight days again, a whole week's gone by now, eight days. And
after eight days again, his disciples were within and Thomas within.
Came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,
Peace be unto them. That just tells you that our
Lord Jesus Christ can be present any time, any place, with his
disciples, with his people. And when you least expect it,
that's when he's going to show up. Then saith he to Thomas,
Reach hither your finger. Behold my hands, and reach hither
thy hand, and thrust it into my sight. And be not faithless,
but believing. Thomas answered and said unto
him, My Lord, and my God. Jesus saith unto Thomas, Because
thou hast seen me, and hast believed, blessed are they that have not
seen, and yet believed. And many other signs truly did
Jesus in the press his disciples, which are not written in this
book, but these are written that you might believe that Jesus
is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that believing
you might have life. through His name. Now, our Lord
Jesus Christ appeared to His disciples when they were assembled
there for fear of the Jews. And when He appeared the first
time, one of the apostles was missing. He was not assembled
with them. And the only reason that He wasn't
with them was because of unbelief. The only reason that he was not
with them was because of unbelief. He did not believe the testimony
of Mary when she ran back and told him, the Lord's not there.
Two angels told me that he has risen from the dead. He'll go
before you into Galilee. So she went back and told him
he heard that. And he had heard these other
disciples say, we've seen the Lord. And what does he do? He
doesn't appear with them. He's not interested. The only thing he can say is
that this man is in unbelief. He does not believe that Christ
is risen. He doesn't believe that the Lord is risen. And Thomas
is mentioned in three different passages in the gospel. In every
single one of them, here's a man with a very, very gloomy, morbid
disposition. There's people that way. I mean,
they see the bad, the scary, the worst in every single situation. And he was one of those men.
He had a very morbid, very melancholic, very gloomy disposition. He was
the type that looked on the darker side of everything, both in the
present and also in the future. And I'm going to show you what
I'm talking about. Let's look at what he has to say. Look over in John chapter
11 first. Now, he wasn't lacking in courage. He wasn't lacking in loyalty
up until this time, or devotion to his master. But don't you know when our Lord
was in Judea, it says up there in John 10.39, therefore they
sought again to take him, but he escaped out of their hand,
and they went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John
had first baptized. They come down in John chapter
11, and they have our Lord Jesus here that Lazarus is sick. They
sent word that Lazarus is sick. Well, our Lord Jesus Christ,
he tells them up here in verse 11, and he's pitching ready to
go back into Judea. He says, well, excuse me, let
me go back down here again. And then after that, in verse
7, he tells his disciples, let's go to Judea again. His disciples
say unto him, masters, the Jews laid of soaps, salt to stone,
then you're going to go there again? And he's going to tell
them why he's going there again. He says in verse 11, our friend
Lazarus sleepeth, and I go that I may awake him out of sleep.
And you know, sleep, even in the Old Testament, meant death.
He says, you know, they slept with their fathers. And they
went and slept with their fathers, and they laid with their fathers.
Now watch what happens. And they said, his disciples
said, Lord, if he's sleeping, that's great, that's wonderful.
But the Lord Jesus spake of his death, but they thought that
he had spoken of taking rest and sleep. Then he said unto
them plainly, Lazarus is dead. Lazarus is dead. But look what Thomas says in
verse 16. Now, how the Lord just got through
telling him, you know, and said, I'm glad for your sake I've not
dared the intent you may believe. Nevertheless, let's go unto him.
Then says Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples,
let's just all so go that we may die with him. What in the
world's on a man's mind says, you know, the Lord just told
him he's sleeping, told him I'm going over there that you may
believe, and that first thing out of his mind, let's just all
go die, Stu. How gloomy is that? How morbid is that? Just because
somebody dies, I don't want to go over and die with them. Do
you? That's one of the things that's
in this man's mind. Let's know also that we may die
with them. Death, instead of life filling
his view, instead of faith filling his view, when Christ says, I'm
going over that that you may believe, he said, Lord, let's
just die. Death filled his view. And he
was an energetic man. Let's go. Let's go right now.
And he had courage enough to say, rather, let's go unto death. And he had affection for Christ.
He said, let's also go that we may die with him. They're going
to stone you, Lord, so let's just all go." Maybe that's what
he thought. He said, they're going to stone
Christ to death, so let's just go die with Him. And then, Gary
read it tonight over here in John 14. Here's another one.
He had a very gloomy view. A very morbid view of life. And you remember in verse, you
know, our Lord Jesus tells them He's going to go away, and He
says, so then don't let your heart be troubled. You believe
in God. Here he is, John 14.1. You believe
in God? Believe also in me? They all believe God. Believe in God. They trusted
God. In my Father's house are many mansions for when I saw
and I told you, and I go to prepare a place for you, and I'll come
again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you may
be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know. Look what
Thomas says. The Lord just told, you know. He'd been telling them
that he's going to go to death. He'd been telling them that his
eye was covered. He'd been telling them that they'd be delivered
into the hands of sinful men. He just got through telling them
that I'm going to go. And that's why he says, don't
let your heart be troubled. And what does Thomas do? Unbelief
fills his mind that quick. Lord, we don't know where you're
going. And how in the world can we know the way? This is a man, he's an apostle.
He's telling the Lord. The Lord done told him. Except you believe I'm he, you
can't follow me, but you'll follow me afterwards. You can't follow
me now, but you will follow me afterwards. And the Lord had to tell him. Thomas, I'm the way, the truth,
and the lie. Now back over in our text. Oh
my, here's the third time. You know, instead of listening
to the promises that our Lord gave him there, you know, let
not your heart be troubled. I'll come again and receive you
unto myself. You'll follow me afterward. But our Thomas saw
in the Lord's departure there all hope lost. There's all that
gloomy nature. Then look what he says here,
verse 24 and 25. It says, But Thomas, one of the
twelve, called dinner, and this was not with him when Jesus came. And they call him Doubting Thomas.
There's nothing here that says anything about him doubting.
He's unbelieving Thomas. There's a world of difference
between doubting and not believing. And here he says this. He was
not with them. When the disciples came and the
doors were closed and the doors were bolted, Christ appeared
unto them. But Thomas wasn't there. So he
missed the appearance of Christ. I don't want to miss the appearance
of Christ, no matter His Word. I sat there thinking while Gary
was reading. He prayed and said, we've come here to worship. We
want to worship You. Whether I feel the presence of
Christ or not, I want to worship Him. I want to keep my mind centered
on Him. Whether I'm blessed by the message or not, I want to
keep my mind centered on Him. Whether I'm really into the singing
or not, I still want to sing to Him. I want to acknowledge
Christ to be all. Whether or not I feel it, whether
or not I feel like I have the precious, I still want my mind
and heart to be centered on Christ and acknowledge Him to be everything. But Thomas Didybus didn't do
that. I've got other things to do. And he was not with them,
so when Christ appeared to them, he spoke the word peace unto
them, and Thomas didn't hear that word peace. Oh, would you
be someplace where Christ wouldn't speak peace to you? Be someplace
else where you couldn't hear the peace of Christ? And then
he revealed himself. He not only spoke peace unto
him, but he says, look, look, it's me! Look at my hands! Look! Oh, and he moved his robe aside
and said, look here at my side. Evidently, they left an awful
gash in his side. And he said, look here at my
side. And oh, that made him glad. And then he gave him commission.
He said, as my father sent me, so send I you. Oh, Thomas missed
this commission. Thomas missed this. He said he
breathed unto him the Holy Ghost, gave him power for the work.
And he said, as my father sent me, I'm going to send you. What
did the father send Christ to do? Gave him a work to do, to
glorify. to keep His Word, to speak His
Word, to use only His Word, to do His will, to love His disciples,
to be sacrificing, to be servant unto them, and all the things
that are believers to do. He said, that's what you do.
Oh, if you think you're great, you're less than nothing. If
you're nothing, then you're great. I come to serve, and you're greater
than your master, so you serve. And then He promised us success.
When you preach to somebody, whoever's sins remains on them,
if they don't believe, they'll stay with them and they'll die.
And those, beloved, who you preach to and they believe, their sins
will be remitted. But Thomas, what an opportunity
he lost. Thomas had been told on the day
Christ arose. All those disciples were together.
There was eleven of them, and Mary and some of the sisters
were all gathered together. And Thomas, When Mary came back,
and then Peter and John run down there, and they looked in the
tomb, and they all come back and says, Yes, she told the truth!
He's not there! The Lord has risen! And oh my, He had risen! And
then it says there in verse 25, There the disciples therefore
said unto Him, We've seen the Lord! No doubt the disciples were gathered
together, and in refusing to meet with His brethren, you know
what He did? He only strengthened his unbelief. He only strengthened his unbelief.
That's all he did. You know, faith became so weak that he would only believe if
Christ confirmed his presence to him. Christ confirmed. And I tell you, and I know this
without a shadow of a doubt, those out of fellowship with
the body of believers, Do not expect to enjoy the fellowship
of Christ. It can't be done. It just can't
be done. Christ meets with His people wherever two or three are gathered
together, divine and immense. Christ meets with His church.
I heard Henry Mahan, one of the best messages I ever heard in
my life. You look with me in Hebrews 10. I heard Henry preach
one time on what is it To identify with Christ. What is it to identify with Christ?
Confess Christ. And there are so many things
you confess in Christ. But he says one way you confess
Christ is by identifying with his people. You identify with
his people. Now if I move to another town,
If I move to Florida, or if I move to Kentucky, the first thing
to be on my mind is I've got to go someplace where there's
some place to identify with the body of believers. I've got to
join with the body of believers. I'm not going to go join with
just a Baptist, and just because it has sovereign grace on the
outside of the thing, that doesn't necessarily mean that they're
sovereign grace believers. I'm not going to go join a Camelite
church. I'm not going to go get into
a Presbyterian church. I'm going to find me some believers
that believe in Christ, with the preachers preaching Christ,
and I'm going to identify, and that's what he said, that's what
it is to confess Christ. Identify with His people. Identify
with His Word. Identify with His Gospel. That
Gospel that humiliates man, that Gospel that humiliates a man's
wisdom, humiliates a man's pride, humiliates a man's reasoning
powers, humiliates a man's thoughts of himself, and just keeps him
in the dust. That's what he said, and look
what here says in Hebrews 10.25. For not forsaking the assembling
of ourselves together as the manner of some is. There's evidently
some people that their manner was that they didn't get together.
And Thomas was one here one time, his manner was not to meet with
these brethren, but exhort one another. That's what we're doing,
we're exhorting one another. Right now. Huh? And you do it and borrow so much
more as you see the day of what day? All of us has a day. Carlos just had his day. Soon you'll have your day. I'll
have my day. And I'll tell you, I started
out when I was 25 years old. I come down here when I was 25
years old. I'm 59 now. We've been in this building,
it'll be 20 years, and January, the first Sunday of January,
I've been preaching in this building for 20 years with all the meat
we have. So you can see how fast my day's approaching. And I don't mean my days is just
coming on swift. I mean it's coming on fast, ain't
it? And so when you see that day
approaching, the day that you got to leave this world, the
day that you have to face God, the day that you are going to
face the time when you can hear the gospel. And oh, beloved,
how much he lost by forsaking this assembly. He didn't see
Christ. He didn't believe them when they
told him about Christ. He never heard the words, peace.
He never served that message as I send you. Never heard it
had the Holy Ghost breathed on him. Never told him about the
work that it had to do and the power that it had to do. And
then notice it's back over here in the text that says, and he
says there in verse 25, again, the other disciples saith unto
him, We have seen the Lord. But watch what he says now. We
have seen the Lord. Why wouldn't he believe these
men? Why wouldn't he believe them? He'd been with them for
three years. But he said unto them, Except
I shall see in his hands the print of the nails." Put my finger
in the print of the nails and listen, thrust my hand, not just
stick it, thrust my hand in his side, I will not believe. Except I see, I will not believe. His heart was so hardened against
the truth of the resurrection, I will not. Boy, what a desperate
state of heart to be in. When Peter was standing by the
fire warming himself, when they took the Lord Jesus Christ out
and heard that rooster crow the third time, Christ turned around
and looked at him, and he began to weep. Thomas never wept. Thomas wasn't ashamed of his
unbelief. Thomas wasn't ashamed that he didn't meet with those
disciples. Thomas wasn't embarrassed. He
just got harder and harder and harder. And all what he said
is, I'm going to walk my sight, not my faith. You fellas can
walk my faith if you want to. I'm going to walk my sight. And
these disciples had sought out Thomas. Thomas didn't go seeking
the disciples. The disciples went to where he
was. They went to him to witness to him, to talk to him, to tell
him. what they've seen, to tell Him what they've experienced.
To tell Him they saw the hands and the feet and they sighed. And the disciples sighed about
it because they loved Him. They wanted Him to know that
they had seen the Lord, that He really, truly was risen from
the grave. But oh, don't be surprised, brethren.
Here's a lesson for us. Be prepared for the unbelief
of others when you speak of Christ to them. Be prepared for unbelief when
you speak to others about Christ. Thomas heard the same words of
Christ, saw the same miracles of Christ, heard the Lord Jesus
Christ, I will arise the third day, heard everything, seen everything
that the other disciples had seen. And he rejected the testimony
of ten friends, ten brethren. And he said, only one thing will
convince me, only one thing will convince me, except I see, except
I see. Watch what he says now. Except
I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, thrust my
hand into his side, I will not believe. You know, this is the
only place in the New Testament where the word nails is used. Nails is not used any place else,
this only place, except I see where there are nails, which
appears to our Lord. This is the only time that the
word nails is mentioned. But I love quite a humbling,
gracious, blessed, glorious, marvelous grace of our loving
Lord to Thomas. He said, except I do this, I
will not believe. I just will not believe. I will
not. It's hard to, you know, that's
why I read that scripture. These things were written for
our learning, for our admonition. We may not say that, but I wonder
how many times we've thought. How much unbelief do you have
to have before you have unbelief? And you reckon there's any sin
worse than unbelief? A dear preacher friend of mine
got up one morning to preach a message. He said, I'm going
to tell you I've done something this week. He said, you just
wouldn't believe how bad it is, how sinful it is. You just wouldn't
believe what a horrible, horrible sin I've committed this week.
I'm ashamed to tell you. I'm embarrassed. And of course,
everybody starts thinking he had done some grievous thing
out publicly or something. He says, I've had unbelief, and
I have it now. That's the worst sin you can
commit, to not believe God. Without faith, it's impossible
to please Him. And Abraham believed God as kind
to him for righteousness? He was strong in faith, giving
glory to God. Nothing honors God more than
faith. So what dishonors Him more than unbelief? But look
why this happens now. After eight days, Thomas for
eight long days, all Thomas gained for that week,
eight long days, all he gained for that week was sadness and
separation by his indispensable spirit and attitude. I'll just
go off and suffer by myself. I'll just go off and be an unbeliever
by myself. But after eight days, Thomas
was with them this time. Thomas was with them there this
time. The disciples were within, and watch what it says, and how
the Holy Ghost mentions this. The disciples were within. Over
there another time it just says the disciples were gathered together
for fear of the Jews. But this time it says, And the
disciples were within, and Thomas was with them this time. See
how the Holy Ghost emphatically says, and Thomas was with them. Oh my, I'm with them! And watch what happens now. Then came Jesus. Listen, he don't need doors. He inhabits eternity. He's on
mission. He's everywhere at all times.
He dwells in Gary Reddington's life. He dwells in all of his
people, and he dwells in his Father, and his Father in us,
and us in the Father. We're all one. And he dwells
by the Holy Ghost in us. He says, you shall know him.
You'll know that he's within you. And oh, Christ And no, the
door's been shut, all of a sudden, he's right there in the middle
of them. You know, they're probably scattered around in the room.
And there's the Lord Jesus Christ standing in the midst of them.
Oh, my. And he says, Peace! Jehovah Shalom. It's one of the
names of the Lord Jesus Christ. He said it the other night. Jehovah
Shalom. And here our Lord Jesus is saying,
Shalom be unto you. Remember I told you what peace
means? Prosperity. Every good thing from God. The
face of God shine on you. The peace of God be with you.
The presence of God be with you. May everything be good in your
home. May everything be good in your
heart. And He says, Peace be unto you. Oh, marvelous grace
of our loving Lord. Then he says to Thomas, he don't
say nothing to nobody else other than that. And then he says to
Thomas, don't speak to Thomas, ain't you grateful he deals with
us individually? Ain't you grateful he deals with
us individually? Then he says to Thomas, Thomas,
you're talking about grace. You're talking about condescension.
You're talking about humility. For our Lord to do this for someone
who just says, I will not believe except, I say. You know what me and you have
done? To let them alone. That's what I've done. I know
me. I'm that hard hearted. And I
say, just leave them be. That's how hard hearted I am. Oh, Christ's not that way. May
Christ tender my heart just like He did His. Here, but know what
He says. Thomas, reach into your finger.
Just go ahead and reach it. There it is. Go ahead and reach
it. And watch what he did. And go
ahead and thrust. Thrust. Into your hand and thrust
it in my side. Go ahead and just thrust it in
there. I know a lot of y'all. You had
to reach way up Cows would pull out calves and pigs and all stuff. And I mean, you know, you thrust
your hand way up in there and try to get... And that's nasty. I mean, you don't want to thrust
your hand in that. And Christ said, thrust your hand. If that's what
it's going to take, stick it in their heart. You know, he's not saying just
ease your hand in there a little bit. Just go ahead and touch
it a little bit. I'll let you look at it. He said,
thrust it in there. Because that's what he said,
except I thrust. This tells us, beloved, and look
what our Savior says to him. And be not faithless. Don't be
faithless, Thomas. Don't be like that. That's so
unbecoming. That's the one becoming you.
That's the one becoming what I did for you. That's the one
becoming of the evidence of my body of what I did for you. And
oh, he says, be not faithless, but believing. Reach here. John said, we have seen and handled
the Word of life. Did he reach out his hand? Did
Thomas reach out his hand? In the presence of the Lord Jesus
Christ, unbelief is paralyzed. Unbelief leaves that quick. Ain't
that what I said? You know, when Christ comes in
His presence in the gospel or any other way He comes, unbelief
is gone just that quick. Unbelief just appeared from Him
just that quick. Unbelief is paralyzed. And what
the disciples couldn't do in a week, preaching to Him and
reasoning to Him, the Lord done it just in the moment. Oh, and unbelief is the most
shameful things of all things when Christ Himself is seen.
But Christ, when He is omniscient, says, I know what has been said.
And look at a confession of faith. Oh, what a confession of faith.
And Thomas Anson has said unto Him, My Lord, My Lord, My Lord,
and My God. Oh, in His deity. This is the
only place where the disciples called Him, My God. The only
place Christ has called God. In the Gospels. And oh, Christ
knew the very words Thomas had said. And old Thomas says, this
can only be Emmanuel. This can only be God. And He
acknowledged His authority over you and says, My Lord. You're
my Lord. That word Lord here means despot, ruler, master. No man calls Jesus Lord but by
the Holy Ghost. And then here's submission. My
Lord and my God. You're my God. Not only are you
my Lord, but you're my God. You're my God. Remember Christ
said, you believe in God, believe also in me. Now He's calling
him God. God. And then in verse 29, Our
Lord said unto him, Thomas, Because you've seen me, you've believed.
You said you had to see to believe. Well, you've seen, and you believe. But oh, how blessed, how blessed
are they that have not seen, yet have believed. How many believe
that's never seen? I've never seen. I haven't seen
the Lord like these fellows did. But I've seen Him. That's you? I see Him. Send Him with eyes
of faith. And many other signs, truly,
did Jesus in the presence of His disciples. Many other signs. This is just signs. This was
a sign, you know, you don't have faith, I'm going to give you
faith. I died for you, I'm going to give you faith. Faith is a
gift of God. And all these things, you know,
the book couldn't contain them. But he said, I wrote these, the
reason these things are written, that you might believe that Jesus
is the Christ, the Son of God. And that believing, that believing,
not believed believing, you might have life through that very name. That's what old Thomas, he got
it. He had a life, but boy, his faith got in a bad shape. All
it took to just do his unbelief, just... Just like that. That's all it
takes for Christ to do some for us. Just show up. Just be present. Give us His presence. Give us
His presence. Our Father in the precious Holy
Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Thank you for meeting with us
this evening. Thank you for the time you gave us together. Thank
you for your word. God strengthen and encourage
these dear saints of God here. Bless them in their hearts. Bless
them in their homes. Bless them in their minds. Bless
them in their endeavors. And oh, Father, help us to never
be like Thomas, to get so cold and so indifferent and so hard
We won't believe, except we see. Oh God, help us to not walk by
sight, but walk by faith, not by sight. To look to you, keep
our hearts and minds fixed on you. To the Lord I pray, and
I repent myself of my unbelief. So many things I murmur about,
so many things that I'm impatient over. And that's because I don't
rest in the light you gave me. the place you've put me in this
world, with the way you deal with me in life, and I'm sorry,
and I ask for your forgiveness. God bless these dear saints of
God. Call Aubrey to be well and have her come home. Strengthen
Ovi and Stacia. God be with Dorth and Michelle
and Jeff and the brothers, family. And O Father, be with us tomorrow
when we have the services. God strengthen and encourage
the dear people. Save you people in this place, for Christ's sake.
Amen.
