Would you open your Bibles to
the 45th chapter of Isaiah? And while you're opening, let
me say again, thank you. Thank you for inviting me. Thank
you for coming to listen. Thank you for your words of encouragement
you've given me so far. Thank you for your generous gift.
You know, we can't do anything for the Lord Jesus Christ. The
only way we can serve the Lord Jesus Christ is to serve one
another. That's why our Lord said, inasmuch
as you've done this to the least of these, my brethren, you've
done it unto me. And you have treated me so well. Thank you
so much. And thank God for the grace that
moves people to do things like that. One of my greatest fears in conferences
like this is that we would approach them as though they are religious
concerts in which the preachers stand up and perform a sermon,
and we sit and listen to their performance. Now, I don't want
to impute you with my faults. Maybe you never think of it that
way. Maybe you don't have that in you, but it's just in my nature
when people call on me to do something, I feel like a performance
of some sort is required. When our brother spoke to us
in the Bible class hour, he talked about preparing a message involves
first putting your thoughts down and then trying to get all of
yourself out of it. And that's the greater part of
the message. And I know what he means. because it's very difficult
for me not to come into a situation like this and be concerned about
whether I, quote, do a good job and whether or not it's perceived
as a good performance. And so that's something that's
a concern of mine all the time. And I do pray that this morning
the Lord will deliver me from performing, that I might say
something to you worth listening to that would be for the good
of your soul. In verse 20 of Isaiah 45, assemble
yourselves and come. Draw near together ye that are
escaped of the nations. They have no knowledge that set
up the wood of their graven image and pray unto a God that cannot
save. Tell ye and bring them near. Yea, let them take counsel together
who hath declared this from ancient time, who hath told it from that
time. Have not I the Lord? And there
is no God else beside me, a just God and a Savior. There is none
beside me. Look unto me and be ye saved,
all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else.
I have sworn by myself the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness,
and shall not return that unto me every knee shall bow, every
tongue shall swear. Surely, shall one say, in the
Lord have I righteousness and strength. Even to him shall men
come, and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In the Lord shall all the seed
of Israel be justified and shall glory. Let us ask the Lord for
His blessing. Our Father, we ask for great things because
You are our Father and You told us to ask for great things in
the name of Your Son. And so in the name of Your Son,
Lord, I pray, deliver us from religious performance. Speak
to us. Touch our hearts with Your Word.
and may we respond in the way you desire. Amen. Now the scripture
can be viewed as a personal letter from God. God inspired the men
to write it and therefore even though it came from their pen
and even reflects their style of communication, nonetheless
it is a message from God. So it's important that we determine
as much as possible to whom the message was written. Much error
has arisen over the centuries by applying scriptures to people
to whom it was never written. If you were to get a letter in
the mail, or it came into your mailbox, but it didn't have your
name on it, and you opened it and read it, you would have no
warrant to take those words to heart as though they were written
to you, as though you were authorized to take action upon the contents
in it. So we must always be careful
when we read the Scriptures to determine to whom a particular
passage was addressed. The Scriptures often apply only
to the Lord's Church. In fact, you know, the Lord has
very little to say to the world at large. For what difference
would it make for Him to say anything to them? They're not
going to respond. They're dead. He speaks to His
people. When He speaks of His love, it's
always with regard to His people, His grace, His mercy, all these
things. Some exhortations in the scripture
are to specific groups. But here we have a word from
God to everyone. Absolutely everyone. It cannot be misapplied. It says here in verse 22, Look
unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth. Now in
determining whether or not this scripture applies to you, you
need ask only one question. Do I live on the earth? Now if you're from somewhere
else, contact the National Enquirer. They want to talk to you. If you're from the earth, here's
a message from God to you. Look unto me and be saved. This is God's book, and in His
book, He wrote something for you. Don't you think it's rather
important to find out what it is? If you got a letter from
the President of the United States, or even the Governor of your
state, you'd be pretty interested in what he had to say. Because
we look to these men as men of authority, Men who speak and
it means something when they say something. Men who have access,
maybe to something that we want. And therefore, if they were to
speak to us, we would think it important to find out what they
said. My friend, God has something
to say to you. And I think it's very important.
that we take notice of what it is He says. No matter what age
you are this morning, God speaks to you. I see some older folks
here, a little bit older than me, a whole lot older than some
others here. I see children here. Do you know
what? This Word is to the oldest here
and it's to the youngest here and everybody in between. Because
we're all here on the earth, aren't we? And the Lord speaks
to the earth. It doesn't matter what gender
you are. The Lord did not say, O ye men, look unto me. Or, O
ye ladies, look unto me. It doesn't matter whether you're
male or female. Here is a word for you today. We have here this morning various
races, various socio-economic levels. And this Word spans them
all. It is equally applicable to every
person. Your present spiritual condition
is irrelevant in whether this Word is to you. Are you without
God and without hope in this world? This Word is for you.
Have you known the Lord Jesus Christ for a long time? This
Word is still for you. We don't quit needing this Word.
The Lord does not quit speaking it to us just because we have
heard it before in times past and acted upon it. He says, look
to Me and be saved. And I'll guarantee you there's
no one who is more convinced of his need of the salvation
of God than someone who's already been saved. And he desires more
of it. He doesn't look upon it as this
One singular event that happened in his life, and then okay, got
that taken care of, now we'll move on to other things. Paul
said, I press on, I'm still reaching out to lay hold of that for which
God laid hold of me. Here this morning are some visitors. Now I wouldn't know if you're
visitors, but he mentioned that there's visitors. You visitors. This word is from God to you.
You regular attenders, you who are faithful and you hear nearly
every time the door is open, this word is to you. You whose
attendance is somewhat more sketchy, this word is to you. We have
missionaries here. And it might be said, oh what
a great message for these missionaries to take to others. And that would
be true. And this is the message I'm sure
they are taking to others. But it's a message for them to
hear as well as to speak. A pastor, his wife and some of
his children are here. This is a message from God to
them. There's a man standing in the pulpit preaching. This
is God's word to him too. And you know why I point this
out? Because there is a real danger in those of us who speak
this message, never taking it to heart that the message we
speak is spoken to us. Or that we who have heard it
before don't realize we need to hear it again. It's still
for us. There is no one here this morning
who is exempt from what the Lord is saying here, nor is there
anyone here who should feel excluded. from what the Lord has said.
Now this is looking at the same truth from two different sides. I saw on Facebook the other day
some people arguing over whether the gospel is an offer or a command.
And I'm thinking to myself, you're arguing over differences that
don't exist. Our Lord here is speaking. Oh,
what tenderness is in His words. Look to me and be ye saved. Remember,
Paul said that the general ministry of the gospel, he says it's this,
as though God did beseech you by us, be ye reconciled to God. And yet at the same time, remember
this, it is God that speaks. And when God speaks tenderly,
it's still God speaking. And it's all the more an insult
to His Godness when we reject His tender words. So you are not exempt this morning from what
God says. God speaks to you and He expects the proper response. For it's
God that's speaking. But there's no one here who should
say I'm excluded from those tender words. They're not for me. I've sinned too much. Or whatever reason people think
that the gracious words of God may not be applied to them. I
tell you today, the Lord has said to all the inhabitants of
the earth, including you, look to me and be saved. For I am God, and there is none
else. Who wrote these words? Who sends
this message? Well, the first thing is God. Now, I know that Isaiah wrote
these down, and I'm up here speaking them, but this is from God. I
am God, and none else. Now, these are divine matters.
What we're talking about, these are divine issues, and no one
but God has the knowledge or the authority to speak on them.
Who has known the mind of the Lord and who has been his counselor?
Who would have known this if God hadn't said it? I realize
there are many false prophets going out saying things God never
said and acting as though they have knowledge of things and
yet we can find no record that God ever revealed what they claim
to know. They speak on things above their
pay grade. Well, this is definitely above
my pay grade and I have no right to say it to you were it not
that God Himself had written it down. So this is not the word of me
this morning. I have neither natural understanding
nor authority to tell you these things apart from this. God said,
look to me and be saved, all ye ends of the earth. What is a God? Look over at Psalm
96. And I said, God said this. There's
lots of gods out there. That is, lots laying claim to
being God. The world does not suffer from
shortage of gods, does it? all but one are merely making
a pretense to being God. There are two things which must
be true of you if you are God. And if either one of them fails,
or you fail in either one of them, you're not God. And it
says here, Psalm 96 verse 5. I turned to the wrong chapter,
that's why I got to look again here. Psalm 96 Verse 5, For all the gods of
the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Now the
first thing, the first qualification you must have if you're going
to be God is this, that you made the heavens. And you say, well,
God made the heavens and the earth, but of course our understanding
of astronomy is really the earth is simply part of the heavens.
The heavens are everything. And God made it all. In the beginning,
God created the heavens and the earth. and he filled them up. He did it all and he did it with
words. He spoke and it was. He commanded and it stood forth. I read something just this morning
or last night, I can't remember. Again, something one of my Facebook
friends had posted and I thought it was... Well, I got to appreciate
the honesty of this particular scientist as he told why evolution
is believed. He said evolution is believed
not because we can present evidence and cogent argument, but because
the only alternative is special creation, and that's unbelievable. Well, I don't consider it unbelievable.
I consider it completely reasonable. But the point is, they don't
want God, and they know anybody that makes this place is God.
And so if they can get rid of the Creator, they've gotten rid
of God. That's what drives it. Did you make the heavens? Well,
you're not God then. Someone once said that the most
important lesson we teach our children is this, there is a
God and it's not you. Because they come into the world
thinking that they are God. And we spend 18 to 20 years trying
to convince them otherwise. Well, did they make this place?
Then they're not God. But God made the heavens and
the earth. He merely spoke and they came into existence. He
commanded and they stood firm. The laws that He created which
operate this universe, they keep the universe operating in the
way that He wants them to. You know, science as it grows
in its knowledge thinks, and they say such foolish things,
well, we've outgrown our need of God. Just because you find out the
laws that He created to run the universe, you think that He didn't
make it? I got in an elevator a few weeks
ago. I was in New York City and I
went up in the new tower they built to replace the twin towers.
And I got in the elevator and shot up 100 floors. And it was
really remarkable. That was the thing that impressed
me most about that building because I got on the first floor and
about 30 seconds later I got out on the 101st floor. And you
got inside of it and the elevators lined with these LED screens.
And when you stand there, it looks like you're looking at
the elevator shaft, and then everything starts moving. And
like I said, a few seconds later, everything looks like it stops,
the doors open, and you step out. The thing is, I never felt
that thing move. That's how well they designed
those elevators. I didn't feel the acceleration.
I didn't feel it decelerate, but I figured that's about 1,000
feet we covered in 30 seconds. You had to average 25 miles an
hour to do that, something in that neighborhood. I never felt
it happen. I know somebody made that elevator. But, you know, if I could look
past those LED screens or LCD or whatever they were and see
the cables and the pulleys and all that, do you think that my
ability to understand the engineering that went into that would mean
that there wasn't any engineering in it? That somebody didn't engineer
it? And that's yet what science is
doing when they try to say that, well, we figured this out, so
nobody did it. God spoke, and it was. And I believe that about six
days later, He was done speaking. And He was done creating. He's God. What's the other badge
of divinity? Look over here at Psalm 115,
verse 2. Psalm 115 verse 2, Wherefore
should the heathen say, Where is now their God? But our God
is in the heavens, He hath done whatsoever He hath pleased. Now have you ever wanted to do
something and not done it? Then you're not God. That's why this God that's preached
up by most of so-called Christian preachers is not God, because
they'll tell you He wants to save you, but you won't let Him. If there's anything that God
wants to do that He doesn't do, He's not God. He may be someone
more powerful than us, but even those more powerful than us could
be frustrated in their purposes, but not a God. He has done everything He wanted
to do. He's now doing everything He
wants to do, and He shall do everything He wants to do. And
it's this one who says, look to me and be saved, for I am
God. Now, there is in this, again,
two ways of taking it, both of them true and both of them needful
to us. If somebody who can speak the universe into existence and
always does everything he wants to do, we better listen to what
he has to say. And secondly, if we have such
a wonderful promise from Him who made the universe and controls
everything according to the counsel of His own will, we can count
on His promise, can't we? It means something. Now if I
came to you and I said, you give me $100 and three months from
now I'll come back and give you $100,000. I recommend you not trust me
on that. Even if I had every intention,
even if it wasn't lack of honesty, I wasn't trying to scam you,
don't give me that $100 because I don't know how to do that.
I wouldn't have any idea of where to invest it and come with that
kind of return. But the When God speaks, you can count on
anything He says. He's going to be honest. Every
one of His promises. He's trustworthy in that way.
His honesty is trustworthy. And He lacks neither power nor
wisdom to bring to pass everything He desires. It's that God that speaks to
you this morning. look to me and be saved." Well,
who do you write this to? Look over here at Acts chapter
2, verse 28. Excuse me, verse 38. This is the day of Pentecost.
Peter has delivered the first full-blown
message of the gospel, which was very convicting. And when
the people heard it, actually when they heard the first part
of that message, they didn't think there was such a thing
as a gospel. Because Peter essentially delivered the bad news first.
That the Lord had sent Messiah to them and they'd killed him.
But he's still Messiah, and he's still Lord. And they thought,
and understandably so, that they had lost all opportunity for
goodness from God. And they said, what are we going
to do? And Peter says in verse 38, Repent and be baptized every
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins
and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promises
unto you and your children and all that are far off even as
many as the Lord our God shall call. Now I've heard plenty of
people talk about this scripture verse actually verse 39. They talk about the promise.
Who's it to? I live in a Dutch Reformed community. And they'll
make a big deal. Well, it's to you and to your
children. And they try to use this to drag in their covenant
theology. And to say, you see, the promise
is to believers and to their children. And therefore, when
children are born into the church, They should be sprinkled, and
that brings them into the church in some sense of the word and
under the covenant, and maybe they're not saved, but they're
safe for the time being. For the promise is unto them.
And then others will look at this scripture, and with missionary
zeal say, it's for those who are far off, and let us go and
tell them. And that's good, because it is
to them that are far off. And we should go and tell them.
I don't have any problem with that at all. And we, of the Calvinistic
persuasion, may light upon those words to as many as the Lord
our God shall call. And make a case for the sovereignty
of grace. And it's true. And yet in all
of this, we're missing the very first one whom Peter identifies
as recipients of the message. The promise is unto you. And friends, don't worry about
any of the rest of them. Until you've dealt with the matter,
the promise is unto you. I don't imagine it's any secret. I'm trying to shake you up a
little bit this morning. Because I know the religious
lethargy we can get into. And hear the word spoken and
say our amens. And agree that what is being
said is true. And yet the word never actually
pierces our heart. We never see this is to me. God
said something to me. He said something to you. What
do you do with it? You let it bounce off your head? Will you take it a little farther
in and say Amen? And then forget about it? I agree with that. What's for
dinner? It's to you. There is no one here this morning
who's not in need of God's salvation. And that includes those who have
already experienced the new birth. There's more to come. And it's
going to come from Him. The same one who started this
thing has got to be the one to finish it. And yes, there is
a promise that he that began it will finish it. But that doesn't
mean we can quit looking to him. Who do we need to be saved from?
You might say, well, we need to be
saved from the devil. And that's true. Devil's more than we can handle. We need to be saved from him.
Another one might say, well we need to be saved from sin. That's
true. And it's also true we can't save
ourselves from sin. And the easiest way to prove
that is I ask you to go for the next 15 minutes without sinning.
Just try that. Or 15 seconds for that matter.
We can't We can't stop doing it and we can't do anything about
the ones we've already done. We need salvation from sin. In
fact, our Lord Jesus Christ was given the name Jesus, which means
Jehovah is my salvation. For this reason, he shall save
his people from their sin. Another one said, well, we need
to be saved from self. And that's true. The biggest
obstacle to your salvation is you. The Bible says under the law
that our sins have separated us from God. And under the gospel
it says, and our righteousness keeps us separated from God.
And both our sin and our supposed righteousness are both from us.
We're the ones sinning and then we're the ones declaring we're
righteous. And both of them serve to disconnect us from the God
of salvation. But you want to know who you
really need saving from? God. God is your worst enemy. God is your biggest trouble.
The only reason the devil, sin and self are a problem is because
all of them put us on the wrong side of God. One of the preachers
of our day, I like one of his quotes, he says, God saves you
from himself, by himself, for himself. And that's true. You need to be saved from God. People think the devil, you know,
they say the devil will take you to hell. No, he won't. The
devil isn't taking anybody to hell. He's going to hell, but
he isn't taking anybody there. He doesn't have any authority
to do that. The Lord Jesus Christ says, don't fear him who can
kill the body and do nothing more. And that's as much as the
devil could do. And that's only if God gives
him a leash enough to do it. The Lord said, fear him that
can kill the body and cast body and soul into hell. Who's that?
That's God. He's the one you've got to deal
with. He's the one you need to save from. And He's the only
one who can save you from Him. He who is your greatest danger
is your only place of safety. Does that make any sense at all? It doesn't have to. I know it sounds ridiculous.
If a lion was chasing you, would you turn around and seek safety
from that lion? No. You'd keep running. And yet God, who pursues you
in justice, as He pursues you, says, look to Me and be saved. It goes against everything you
already think. But that should not surprise
us, for the Lord says, My thoughts are not your thoughts. If you're
believing a gospel that fits nicely into your brain, you're
believing the wrong one. If you believe in a gospel that
makes sense to you, you're not believing God's gospel. Because
He calls on you to go against every natural tendency you have
in the knowledge of God's wrath pursuing you, and that's to turn
to God Himself to find salvation from the wrath of God. Have you ever done that? Have
you ever seen God as your enemy? And then against all natural
reason turn to this enemy? for salvation? And yet that is
what the scriptures tell us to do. What is his word? He says, look to me. Now the
translation says, turn to me. So I looked up the Hebrew word
to see why both of them might appear in translation. And the
simple reason is that the sense of both words is contained in
the Hebrew word. And so I'll put it this way.
Turn and look to me. And what does that tell us? It
tells us that we're already looking someplace. Everybody here is
looking someplace for salvation. Everybody. That is, anybody that
has any knowledge, any inkling they might need it. Every one
of you here believes that somehow or another, in the end, you're
going to get by. And you say, well, how do you
know that? Because you're not insane. Anybody that actually
thought that at the end of their lives they were going to drop
into eternal torment would go mad. Everybody's got an out,
they think. Everybody's looking to something.
What are you looking to? Are you looking to your good
works? You don't have any. Are you looking to your morality?
God's not interested in your morality because morality and
righteousness are not the same thing. And He demands righteousness. Are you looking to your faith?
Your faith isn't strong enough to get you out of this room,
let alone get you out of hell. What are you looking to? God's
saying this. You're looking somewhere, and
where you're looking is wrong. You need to turn and look to
me. You say, well brother, I turned
and looked to God a long time ago. And you know what you've
done some, at least once since? you've turned away and looked
somewhere else. Because it's all flesh, that's all it knows
to do. And God comes to us, his people,
and says over and over and over again, turn to me and be ye saved. I'm a gospel preacher, pastor
of a congregation, and I know full well why God set it up that
the church meets week by week. Because I hear, I preach and
hear the gospel on Sunday and certainly by next Saturday I'm
looking somewhere else. And I need to be reminded by
my God, turn to me and look and be saved. Look to me, not at me, he says. I know that looking to him involves
looking at him, but there's something more. And I can illustrate it
only this way. I have a little dog, a Bichon. And if you know
what a Bichon is, they're sweet little dogs. I love my dog Ziggy.
And my dog Ziggy loves me as much as a dog knows how to love.
And if I get a plate of food, and Bonnie and I, we don't eat
at the table. We've lost all our manners. We
get our food and we sit and we each got a recliner in front
of the TV. We sit down and start up a television show and eat.
And you know what that dog does? He gets right at the foot of
my recliner And here's the interesting thing.
He knows the food's there, but he's not looking at the food.
He's looking at my eyes. Why? Because he knows if he catches
my eye, he's getting food. Why? I can't resist him. I have
absolutely no ability to tell him no. Once in a while I'll
make him wait until I'm done. But he's the pre-wash for our
dishwasher. Whatever's left on my plate, I just put it on the
floor. Probably a lot of you now aren't going to come over
to my house for dinner. My plates go in there looking
clean anyway. He looks to me and I cannot resist
him. He doesn't just look at me. He
doesn't look at the plate. He looks to me. The Syrophoenician
woman. looked to him and he said, it's
not fitting that the children's bread be given to the dogs. And
she said, yes, you're right, but it's okay for the dogs to
get the crumbs that come off the table. She looked to him
and he could not resist her. And he said, I've not seen such
faith. And He didn't give her crumbs. He gave her a full serving
from the table, didn't He? Look to Me, He said. Turn. Turn from sin? Well, not
in the sense we normally think of it. If we could turn from our sin,
we wouldn't need Him. You know what He said telling
them to turn from? He's telling them to turn from
all those things they were looking to in hopes of getting out of
the trouble they were in with Him. I said you're looking to something
and you're looking to something that you think that's going to
get you out of the trouble that you have because of your sin.
And God says quit looking at those things and look to Me.
Turn from your own attempts at salvation. and look to me." Now,
look over at Revelation chapter 1 and we'll answer this question. How can I know if I indeed have
turned to look to Him? John there on the Isle of Patmos And he says in verse 12 of Revelation
chapter 1, And I turned to see the voice
that spake with me. I turned and looked. And being
turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks, and in the midst of the seven
candlesticks one like unto the Son of Man, clothed with a garment
down to the foot, and girt about the paps around the chest with
a golden girdle. His hands and his hairs were
white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were as a
flame of fire, and his feet like undefined brass, as if they burned
in a furnace, and his voice as the sound of many waters. And
he had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went
a sharp two-edged sword, and his countenance was as the sun
shineth in his strength, and when I saw him, I fell at his
feet as dead. How will you know if you've turned
to look to him, who calls on you to do so, you will see someone
of such glory that you cannot bear it. This was John, the beloved disciple, who was as near to the Lord as
any of the disciples were on that inhuman affection. And he
saw the glorified Lord and he said, I fell at his feet as a
dead man. Echoing the experience of Isaiah
in chapter 6, I saw the Lord high and lifted up. And I said,
woe is me. I'm a man of unclean lips and
I dwell among a people of unclean lips. I am ruined. I am undone. This doesn't sound anything like
that Jesus I hear about most often, whom people look at as
a pal, as a buddy. Here is one, if God ever gives
you the eyes of faith to see Him, He will shake you to your
foundations. Yea, He will shake your foundations
and you will crumble. You will not be able to stand
in His presence. Not until He lifts you up. This is the one Paul saw on the
road to Damascus. Mighty Paul, mighty small. There on the ground, groveling.
Why? He saw the Lord. Now turn over to Revelation chapter
5. If you turn and look to this
one for salvation, you'll see one whom you cannot bear to look
upon for his glory, and yet, look, you must do. Chapter 5, verse 6, And I beheld,
and lo, in the midst of the throne, and of the four beasts, in the
midst of the elders, stood a lamb, as it had been slain, having
seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God,
sent forth unto all the earth. Now we realize that this is a
vision, because the Lord doesn't look like that. It's a vision, a symbolic vision
representation of Christ. It tells us something about Christ
the Savior. And the first thing it tells
us, and this is what you'll see if you look in, you'll see a
sovereign. He said, I saw in the midst of the throne. You will not see a doormat. You will not see someone lightly
knocking on the door of your heart. You will see one in the
midst of the throne ruling all things by his own word. And if you don't see him, you're
looking in the wrong place. Secondly, you will see a slain
lamb. Last night our brother talked
about the Lord being a man of war. and at the Battle of Calvary,
but what a strange war that was. Who goes to war and wins by dying? Our military goes to battle and
some of them die in the process, but they don't win the war by
dying, do they? We honor them as well we should, but their
death did not win the battle, did it? It was an accident of
the battle. They intended to survive. Jesus Christ is the only one
who won the war by dying. He didn't come to risk his life
in a battle. He came to lay it down. He said,
nobody's taking it from me. I'm laying it down. And the very
act of laying it down disarmed the enemy. Jehovah bid his sword
awake. O Christ, it woke against thee.
Thy blood the flaming sword must slay. thy heart its ward must
be. All for my sake, my peace to
make, now sleeps that sword for me." That was how he won the battle. Not so much by wielding the sword
as receiving it. And when that sword was thrust
into him, it could not be taken back out to be thrust at me. I saw a lamb as if it had been
slain, a sacrifice, a pleasing aroma to God. And in laying down his life,
he won the battle And I don't have any more enemies, none that
can touch me. Have you ever seen the Lamb slain
from the foundation of the world? Have you ever seen that one that
John the Baptist pointed out, behold the Lamb of God that takes
away the sin of the world? With the eyes of faith, have
you ever turned and looked upon Him who shed His blood in behalf
of sinners? And have you ever seen in that
vision such a glory that it buckled your knees and you fell before
Him and cried out for His mercy and
found it? God says to you this morning,
turn and look unto Me and be saved. all the certainty of the
promise, be saved. Why? For I am God. I can do this. I am God and there
is none else. No one else can do it. Oh, God
give us all grace this morning to turn and look to Him and be
saved. He is God and there isn't any
other. Well, may God bless us.
