Let's open our Bibles tonight
to 3rd John. 3rd John. The elder unto the well-beloved
Gaius, whom I love in the truth, Beloved, I wish above all things
that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth. For I rejoiced greatly when the
brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even
as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to
hear that my children walk in truth. Beloved, thou doest faithfully
whatsoever thou doest to the brethren and to strangers, which
have borne witness of thy charity before the church, whom, if thou
bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt
do well. Because that for his name's sake
they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles, we therefore
ought to receive such that we might be fellow helpers to the
truth. I wrote unto the church, but
the atrophies who loveth to have the preeminence among them receiveth
us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will
remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious
words, and not content therewith Neither doth he himself receive
the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth
them out of the church. Beloved, follow not that which
is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God,
but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. Demetrius hath good
report of all men, and of the truth itself. And we also bear record, and
you know that our record is true. I had many things to write, but
will not with ink and pen write unto thee. But I trust I shall
shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be
to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet
the friends thy name. What a sweet tender epistle written
by a man, one man to another, whose hearts were knit together
in the mutual faith of the gospel and in the mutual love of the
Lord Jesus Christ and in their mutual desire to see the kingdom
of our God established and increased in the earth in their day. I
take the phrase at the end of verse 8 for my subject and my
title this evening. Fellow helpers to the truth. John, writing by divine inspiration,
tells us that we ought to bring forward on their journey. That is, we ought to assist them
in their journey. Those brethren sent of God to
preach the gospel of Christ. and that we are to receive them
and their message, that we might be fellow helpers to the truth. By assisting God's servants in
their labors, we are fellow helpers to the truth. What a privilege,
what a responsibility. It is our privilege and our responsibility
to assist our brethren who serve the cause of our Redeemer wherever
they are found, to assist preachers and churches wherever they are
found, who preach the gospel of God's free grace, by which
means God's pleased to save his elect, by which means God is
pleased to give life and faith to sinners, loved, chosen, and
redeemed by our Lord Jesus Christ. We are fellow helpers to the
truth when we assist one another in the blessed work of the gospel.
Alan couldn't have read a better passage of scripture in connection
with my message this evening. We want to see our stakes enlarged
in God's kingdom increased. And it is our business to give
ourselves to this blessed work. From the beginning of our labors
together in the cause of Christ, I've tried to convey to you a
sense of responsibility to the kingdom of God throughout the
world. Our responsibility is to the
Church of God in our generation, not just to this local assembly,
but to the Church of God in our generation, to the people of
God in our generation. And this congregation has generously
graciously assisted in the support of faithful gospel preaching
pastors and missionaries around the world. and we've done so
since our earliest beginnings together. Brother Walter Gruber
and his wife Betty have been in Merida, Mexico for 50 years. For 50 years. We've had the privilege
of assisting them in the blessed work God's given that man to
do. In those 50 years, God used Brother
Walter to establish 39 gospel churches. I don't know
of another man in history who's been so used of God. 39 that
are continuing to this day. Cliff Heller and his wife, Marty,
for 48, 49 years, spent their lives in Papua, New Guinea, serving
the tribesmen in New Guinea, translating the scriptures and
planting churches. Dan Parks and his wife, Sandy,
in St. Croix, Cody and Winner Groover
moved down to Medina about 20 years ago. Took their three children,
small children. Cody quit his job. Good job. Real good job. He didn't have
to work much. He got paid good for it. And went down to Medina
and joined his dad in the work there. And they have been blessed
of God in their efforts. And we've been blessed of God
in helping Lance Heller, Robin, in New Guinea, planting churches,
translating scriptures. We help with the preacher school
in Mexico and some with the churches there. Not much, but a little. We don't let them know it, but
help a little whenever help is needed to help get them through
some hump. I know it's common for churches
in the United States to build church buildings and support
missionaries on the foreign field, and you can buy a lot of things
that way. But Walter and Cody have exercised
great wisdom in not allowing the local churches and pastors
to be built and supported by American funds. But when things
come up where there's some need to get them through a hump, we
help them. And by doing that, those churches are raised up
to be independent, self-supporting congregations supporting their
own pastors. And we've been privileged to
assist in supporting pastors and churches throughout the United
States as well. In addition to those things,
God's allowed us to have a hand in establishing several churches
in the years we've had together. Grace Community Church in Rock
Valley, Iowa, got started with Brother Herb Roseboom asked me
if I'd rent a place to meet, would you come preach to us?
I met him up in Michigan a long time ago, and then they started
meeting, watching our videos, and called Brother Joe to be
pastor there. Grace Badger Church in Princeton,
same way. Folks, God saved folks when it
was on the radio and they looked for a place to meet, couldn't
find a place to meet where they could hear the gospel of God's
grace and finally decided to see if God would be pleased to
raise up a work and God sent Brother Clay Curtis there seven
years ago. The church out in San Diego,
California started meeting together, I think now it's been a little
over six years ago. Watching her videos, I go preach
to them when I could. Other folks come out periodically.
And now Brother Eric and Amy are out there and God's blessing
that work. Every year, you send me back
and forth across the length and breadth of this country, preaching
the gospel of God's free grace. And to several foreign countries,
doing the work of an evangelist, a missionary, preaching the gospel. The purpose being to encourage,
assist, and help faithful men who preach the gospel, to encourage,
assist, and help gospel churches, particularly smaller congregations,
and to encourage, help, and assist others in establishing gospel
churches. As you do, as we help and support
and assist these works, we are described here as fellow helpers. to the truth. Now you might reasonably
ask, Pastor, why should we do that? Why should we support other
preachers, churches, and missionaries? Times are tough. Money's tight. We're not a large congregation
or an affluent congregation. We often have difficulty meeting
our own expenses month by month. Why should we support other ministries?
That's a good, reasonable question. If you give me your attention
for just a few minutes, I'll give you some answers that I
think will help you. It's got to be pleased to bless his word
to your heart. Understand this. There's only
one reason. Just one for the existence of
this local church. Only one reason for the existence
of any true gospel church, just one. It is our business, our
privilege, and our responsibility to preach the gospel to the generation
in which we live in the widest possible extent for the glory
of God and the saving of his elect. Somebody said, well, God's
elect are going to be saved. Yes, they are. And bless God,
he lets us do something in the world. No, we can't save anybody. No, we can't give anybody faith.
No, we can't give anybody life. That's God's work. But he allows
us the privilege of carrying the gospel to chosen centers
around the world by which he calls out his elect and gives
them life and faith in Christ. Our Savior said just before he
left this world, go ye into all the world and all nations preach
the gospel Preach the gospel to every creature. It tells us
you shall be witnesses unto me Both in Jerusalem and in Judea
and in Samaria and unto the uttermost parts of the earth What a word
witnesses is like It's the word which we got our word martyr
Todd now told me this just this morning. He called me chatted
a little while and We often say God's people ought to be willing
to lay down their lives for Christ in the gospel, like those two
Margaret's we talked about earlier, Bob. They ought to be willing,
but there's more to it than that. God's people are people who lay
down their lives continually for the cause of Christ. who
willingly laid down their lives for the cause of Christ, giving
themselves continually to the cause of our Redeemer. That's
what a witness is. One who lays down his life in
the cause willingly. Without the gospel, sinners are
without hope. Without the gospel, no one's
going to be saved. We preach the gospel for the
salvation of chosen, redeemed sinners. This is the means God
has ordained for this purpose. We ought to use every means at
our disposal, every opportunity we have to make the gospel known
as widely as possible in this generation. And we endeavor to
do so. Our worship services, the bulletins,
the written material, books, videos, recordings, free grace
radio. But the most effective means
we have of preaching the gospel in any age is sending out men
to preach the gospel. Missionary work. Preaching redemption
and grace by Jesus Christ the Lord. God honors those who honor
him. He promised to do so, and we've
proved it again and again. And our congregation has been
blessed of God, greatly blessed of God. The more we undertake,
the more we're able to do. Has that been so or has it not?
The more we undertake, the more we're able to do. The more we
give, the more we have to give. We've lost nothing. but have
gained much just as our God promised we would. In the future, I intend
to call upon myself and you. As we age and looks like we can
do less, I intend to call upon myself and you to make greater
sacrifices, give more and do more for the cause of Christ. so that any man God raises up
and sends out to preach the gospel will lack nothing for his own
needs to do the work. Why? Why do I ask for such commitment? Why do I call upon you and others
to give to the work of the gospel? Why should we support faithful
men, faithful churches? Let me give you some plain biblical
answers to that question. Number one, Let me answer this. Who are the preachers, the missionaries
that ought to be supported by God's people? What kind of men
are they? What kind of work is it they
do? Here in 3 John, John highly commends
this man Gaius for his loving, generous, hospitable entertainment
of faithful men. Brethren and strangers brethren
who were at the time strangers to him who came preaching the
gospel of God's free grace. Look at verse 5 These were itinerant
men who who came to town preaching the gospel Beloved thou doest
faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren and to strangers
which have borne witness of thy charity before the church and
whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort
thou shalt do well. Because that for his namesake
they went forth taking nothing of the Gentiles. We therefore
ought to receive such, such men as these, that we might be fellow
helpers to the truth. Now generally in our thinking
we divide preachers into different groups. Pastors We look upon
it as men who are pastors of a single local church, maybe
of two or three local churches, but just pastors of local churches.
Evangelists we look at as itinerant preachers who go from place to
place holding meetings. And missionaries we look at as
men like the Groovers, the Hellers, the Parks who go to foreign soil
and preach the gospel there. But the scriptures make no such
distinction of preachers. In the word of God, the term
pastor Teacher and evangelist are synonymous terms. I can't
find any Evidence that there is any distinction between those
men pastors teachers and evangelists The word missionary is not even
used. We use the term because in our
thinking that's the nearest thing to what's described as an evangelist
in the word of God. But the word missionary is not
even used. Now that doesn't disturb us in it. The word trinity is
not used either. But we practice missions just like we believe
the trinity because the practice is clearly set before us in scripture. Paul and Barnabas were missionaries
sent out from the church at Antioch to preach the gospel to the Gentiles
They they were separated by the Holy Ghost who told the church
to send them out So that those men were sent out with the direction
of the local church as are all faithful men Philip the evangelist
was a missionary and All pastors are commanded to do the work
of an evangelist or a missionary. But God has given some to his
church who are especially called to be evangelists or missionaries,
as we use the term today. I want to talk to you specifically
about those men, though what I'm saying applies to all men. These are the men to whom John
is referring when he speaks of those brethren and strangers
in our text. These are men raised up and sent
forth by God to do a specific work. A missionary is a man,
a preacher. There's no such thing as a missionary
who's not a preacher. And we talk about medical missionaries
and social missionaries and farming missionaries and carpentry missionaries
and all those things. That's lots of religious stuff.
It's fine for men to go do those things, but a missionary is a
preacher. He's a man, not a woman. God never called a woman to be
a missionary. God never called a woman to be a preacher. He's
an evangelist sent forth to preach the gospel. He's a man with God's
message. He understands, believes, and
declares the gospel of God's free grace in Christ. Now, please
understand this, children of God. Please understand this,
anyone who hears this voice of this preacher. No man ought to
be supported in religious work who does not believe and preach
God's absolute sovereignty, eternal predestination, absolute free
election. particular effectual redemption,
limited atonement, efficacious, irresistible grace, the preservation
of God's elect in Christ. Those things are vital truths
of Holy Scripture. And no man ought to be supported
in his work who does not believe and preach those things. I get
letters from folks all the time soliciting things. My help or
the help of this congregation be coming to preach or are sending
some money to them particularly in third world countries They'll
see something they'll pick up a track to pick up a disc or
a book or see the name whatever and presume We'll just all they
got to do is say we believe what you do will would you come down
here and preach? We believe what you do. Would
you would you send us some money? Would you would you please consider
sponsoring us? and I want to help folks. But the first thing I do is ask
the man to write me a note and tell me exactly what he believes
and preaches concerning the person and work of our Redeemer. And
that's usually the end of the story. What I get back is nothing
like the gospel of God's free grace. Well, wouldn't you help?
They're sincere. Wouldn't you help them? No. No,
I wouldn't help a man who's sincerely practicing medicine if he didn't
know how to do it. That wouldn't help him at all. The fact is
those and those men only are to be supported by God's people
who believe and preach the gospel. Everything else is a detriment
and a hindrance. A missionary is a man with God's
message and is gifted to preach it and is a man with a mission.
Missionaries are men called and gifted of God to establish gospel
churches. train pastors, and help establish
those pastors in the blessed work of the gospel so that they
can carry on the work for years to come. Missionaries are men
who have a mission from God, and their mission is to preach
the gospel for the saving of his elect. With those things
in mind, let's examine what the Spirit of God teaches here in
3 John. about the church's responsibility
concerning these things. Gaius was a man in this local
church who was obviously converted under John's ministry, and there
was some itinerant preachers who came through town. They were
strangers to Gaius at the time, but when they came preaching
the gospel, Gaius received them into his house. He entertained
them. He lodged them. He fed them.
for a few days, if not a few weeks. And when they left Gaius,
he gave them pocket money to travel on to another place to
preach. And when they got back to John, probably at Ephesus,
they couldn't quit talking about Gaius. Oh, Gaius, what a remarkable
man Gaius is. Let me tell you how Gaius helped
us. And John was tickled to death to hear their report. And he
writes this letter to Gaius. But remember, he wrote it by
inspiration of God. And he writes purely to commend
Gaius and to warn of Deocrates. He spoke with high, high commendation
of Gaius, because Gaius loved Christ, loved the gospel, and
walked in truth, we're told in verses three and four, because
Gaius was faithful. Oh, faithful. Faithful men, Mark,
are men who prove themselves steady and dependable in the
cause of Christ over the years. Faithful men. Faithful men. A young man may be faithful,
but you don't know it for a while. You won't know it for a while.
They come in and they stay. They just stay. You can count
on them, you can depend on them, day and night, thick and thin,
good times and bad, you can count on them, they're faithful. John
says concerning Gaius, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest. And Gaius was generous, charitable,
hospitable to these men who were even strangers to him, strangers
to him. You remember how Abraham, in
Genesis 18, opened his house to angels? They were men, but
they were angels. Angels who came in the appearance
of men. And he, opening his house to
strangers, entertained angels in his house. The Apostle tells
us that same thing in Hebrews 13, teaching us to be warm and
hospitable. He said, be careful to entertain
strangers. Now, he's not talking about going
down here on Second Street and picking up some bum and sitting
out there smelling the liquor. That's not what he's talking
about. He's talking about strangers, men who come preaching the gospel
of God's grace. You've not known them before.
Be careful to entertain them. Thereby, many have entertained
angels unawares. Some of you know this by experience.
Shelby and I have had folks come into our house and spend time
with us. And it was a labor, a chore,
took effort, took time, and sometimes time we thought we didn't have.
Effort we thought we couldn't expend. And when they left, it
wouldn't take anything for the privilege. For they left behind
far greater blessedness in that house than they experienced in
that house from us. Many have entertained angels
unawares. They've entertained men who came
to their doorsteps specifically with a message from God for them. That's what an angel is, a man
with a message from God for you. Now, certainly God's servants
come to the house of God and hopefully have God's message
for you, specifically for you. But as you receive them in your
home and entertain them at your table and entertain them at your
expense, perhaps you have one come who has a specific message
for your specific need at that specific time. And oh, what a
blessing that is. Now, John gives us four reasons
for doing so. Why should we do this? Why should
we support such men? Number one, it's pleasing to
God for us to do so. John told Gaius that when God's
servants come to our town, we're not only to care for them while
they're here, but we're to bring them forward on their journey
after a godly source. Bring them forward. Bring them
forward. That simply means you carry them from place to place.
That simply means you provide for them going from place to
place. You supply their needs. Bring them forward on their journey.
After a godly sort. What a unusual way to describe
a work. A godly sort. The word means,
if you look in your marginal translation, a work worthy of
God, a work becoming to one who follows
God, a work imitating God. Oh, this is a godly sort of work
to help and bring forward such men in their work. Do what you can. to assist in
the support of faithful men wherever you have opportunity, as liberally
as possible. I know there are some who will
hear this message in churches and in groups who have no pastor.
Hear me well. If God sends you a pastor, if
he gives you a man to preach the gospel to you, you support
him to the best of your ability, liberally and generously. I recall
years ago, a congregation was asking Brother Mahan, I happened
to be sitting in the office at the time, and a fellow called
and asked Brother Mahan, they'd just called a pastor, said, how
much do you reckon we ought to pay him? And Brother Mahan said
to him, what does it take for you to live? And the fellow said
on the other end, that much? That much? After a godless sort. After a godless sort. It takes
just about the same thing for one man to live and raise a family
as it does another. Take care of God's servants. Take care
of God's servants. This is that which is pleasing
to God. Number two, we should do so for
his namesake. Look at verse seven. For his
namesake, they went forth. For his namesake, with a burning
jealousy for Christ to be known, they went forth. And so God's
people, with a burning jealousy for Christ to be known, give
to the cause of supporting such men. God's representatives and
God's spokesmen in this world go forth for Christ's sake. Not
for themselves, not for their advancement, not for their benefit,
but for Christ's sake. Not because it is somehow something
that they have always desired to have or desired to accomplish.
Oh, no. Oh, no. No, no. No, no. They
go forth for Christ's sake for his glory for the calling out
of God's elect as God's ambassadors We then as ambassadors for Christ
Beseech you in God's stead be you reconciled to God? Anything
done to those men our Savior says is done to me Anything done
for those men he says is done for him And anything done against
those men is done against him. That needs repeated. That needs
repeated. Anything done for God's ambassador
is done for Christ. Anything done to God's ambassador
is done to Christ. Anything done against God's ambassador
is done to Christ read Matthew chapter 10 for yourself number
three We should generously support faithful men because faithful
men Have no other means of support of the verse 7 again Because
that for his name's sake they went forth taking nothing of
the Gentiles Taking nothing of the Gentiles God's servants are
men who labor selflessly in the cause of Christ, faithful men. Let me tell you about Brother
Walter Groover. He believed God had called him
to be a missionary in Mexico, and he went down to Mexico and
left a job, a good-paying job, took his wife and babies down
to Merida, and had no means of support of any kind. Just cashed in what he had, sold
everything he had, and went to Mexico. And didn't have anybody
supporting him. Didn't have anybody supporting
him. How you gonna do that? Well, we'll see. We'll see. And God's been feeding him ever
since. Fed and clothed and educated
all of his children ever since. God's servants don't Calculate
what they can gain from anything. They serve Christ willingly with
free heart and free hand and never ask for a thing. Never ask for a thing. I've been
preaching the gospel of God's grace now for about 46 years.
And I have yet to ask anybody for anything. Not going to do
it. Don't even hint that an idiot
will have things taken care of. God puts it in the hearts of
men to take care of things. That's all. That's all. God's
servants do not seek to enrich themselves. Can you imagine a
rich prophet or a rich apostle? Can you imagine such foolishness?
Order, not God. A faithful man will not enrich
himself using the sacrifices of other men. He won't do it.
Not God's servant. God's servants give themselves
freely to the cause of Christ and are supported by God's people
who give freely to support them. We should faithfully and generously
support God's servants, faithful pastors, missionaries, and churches. Fourthly, because our loving,
free, generous support of God's faithful servants makes us fellow
helpers to the truth. Fellow helpers to the truth. Our Lord, standing at Lazarus'
tomb, was about to raise Lazarus from the dead. He's fixing to call the man who's
been dead for four days out of the tomb. And he turned, Merlin, looked
at folks standing by, and said, take ye away the stone. Well, that's strange. Why would
he do that? Surely. If by his mere word,
Lazarus come forth, he can cause the dead to come out of the tomb,
bound in grave clothes still. He wouldn't have any trouble
moving that rock. But those men standing by could not cause Lazarus
to come forth from the grave. They could, however, put their
shoulders to the rock and move the rock. If there's anything recorded,
done by men, anywhere in history, I'd sure like to have been the
one to put my shoulder to that rock. What an honor. What an
honor. God's about to raise the dead.
I believe I'll move the rock, see what he does. Push the rock
aside and see what he does. Now, last Sunday morning, coming
in, Celeste Peterson, before services, began to ask me a question.
And I promised you I'd answer it. And I waited until now to
answer it because I wanted to do it publicly in this message. She said, how do you know where
to start a church? She went on to speak to me about
some mutual friends who are presently struggling because they don't
have any place to worship God. What are they to do? What are
they to do? What are they to do? And I answered
her. portion of the question just
briefly and promised if she didn't mind me using it publicly, I'd
answer it tonight. How do you know when and where
to start a church? When I first went to Mexico,
first trip down there, Brother Mahan and myself went with Walter
out to, I believe it was Tlatelchepeche, I'm almost sure that was the
place where we went, and You couldn't just go start preaching.
It's places run by Catholics. You have to go get permission,
and you got to find some way to get permission. So they used
to show films, and they'd go get permission from what we call
the mayor of the town, a little Pueblo where every one of them's
got his own mayor, their own president, and then they'd have
a public square. So they'd show films in the square,
and then they'd preach and pass out tracts. Hoping that maybe
somebody would hear the message and believe God or that somebody
was there who believed God and That night we met some folks
just a lady and her husband I think was just the lady invited Walter
to come back and hold services in her house and They're going
down there visiting now for all these years God's raised up a
gospel work because there was somebody there who had an interest.
Well, what Walter brought that lady to Mexico. That's not always
best. And that's not always wisest.
And frankly, that's not always possible. God had someone there
interested in hearing the word and interested in doing what
she could. She couldn't preach. She couldn't
be a preacher. But she could open her house
and we went there and met in a dirt floor house with sticks
standing straight up, tied together in sticks, laying across one
another top for a roof with a little bit of tar paper on top of them
and met like that until God raised up work. It's not always best
to move to a place where there's an established church. That's
not always best. Read the book of Acts. God wouldn't
allow that in the book of Acts. It's far better to build the
kingdom of God where you are. I went every six weeks, sometimes
go eight weeks before I go, but usually every six weeks for 25
years to Wichita Falls, Texas, to preach to abandoned believers,
hoping God might be pleased to raise up a work. Why would you
do that? There are some folks there who
wanted to hear the gospel of God's free grace. Well, why would
you go preach those to your folks? Immortal souls, that's why Well,
I wouldn't do that. Yeah, that's all I will and I'll
do it again. Nothing 25 years God enables
me to do it been going up to Wasilla, Alaska Preaching those
folks their sin folks. Remember I can't long trip. Why
there's some folks there who want to hear the gospel of God's
grace having ballot money in North Ireland folks started beating
regularly and as folks I keep going to, you keep sending me,
and I keep praying God will send them a pastor. Last January,
I went down to Sarasota, and Brother Eric and his wife Liz,
I urged them to rent a public place and start having Greg come
down every Sunday night. And believe it or not, they did.
Not often do folks pay any attention. They actually did. Went down,
rented a nice place to meet. Brother Greg's been going down,
making a two-and-a-half-hour drive every Sunday night. preaching
that. What for? Well, there's four, six, seven
people, maybe eight people, immortal souls who need to hear and want
to hear the gospel and want to see God raise up a ministry where
they are to minister to others for whom they're responsible.
In the book of Acts, we're told that they went everywhere preaching
the gospel. Went everywhere preaching the
gospel. And God was pleased to raise
up churches here and there, raise them up here and there, and raise
them up here and there. Sometimes small groups meeting
in a home, sometimes larger assemblies, but always as the result of men
who were willing to be fellow helpers to the truth. I'm going to question A few years
ago, some of the folks started talking about moving down here,
but I'm so glad none of them did. I'm tickled to death now.
They've got a thriving work there, got thriving work there. Folks
out in Rock Valley, Brother Herb Roseboom talked to me about moving
out here, but they had family there, friends there, folks there,
and God's raised up a work, cinema pasture. The next time we have opportunity
to show hospitality to, to entertain, to give or to do something for
one of God's servants. Remember these things. This is
a work pleasing to God. It's a work done by faith in
Christ for the honor of his name. It's a work done for worthy men. Men who have forsaken all and
followed him. Men who have forsaken all. and followed him. I've watched
a few men over the years make real sacrifice. I'm talking about
make real sacrifice in preaching the gospel of God's grace. And
I'll tell you what I've observed. Tell you what I've observed.
I've never known one of them who wasn't mightily used of God.
Not a one. Not a one. I've never known a
man willing to be used who wasn't used. Never known that. I've known lots of folks who
wanted a position, who wanted some power, who wanted a little
influence, who wanted a name, wanted a little recognition.
They come and go as fast as the morning dew. But I've never known
a man, not a one, who set his heart and get laid down his life
in the cause of Christ who wasn't used of God. Oh God, use us. Use us for Christ's sake. Amen. You're dismissed.
