This will be our final message
in the book of John. We'll look at verses 24 and 25
of chapter 21 this morning. This is the disciple which testifieth
of these things and wrote these things. Now he's referring back
to the previous verse there. We know that John is the one
that wrote the book. And he said, In verse 23, Peter
had asked the Lord, what about that disciple? And the Lord basically
told Peter, that's not your business. What if I? That he should tarry
till I come. If I will that, then that's my
will. That's my business. Not yours. And then that's when
John says, this is the disciple which testifieth of these things.
That's who he's talking about, me, John. And he said, I'm the
one that wrote these things. all these things from chapter
1 verse 1. And we know that his testimony
is true. And there are also many other
things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every
one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain
the books that should be written. Amen. He said in verse 24 there,
some things have been written. And then he said three words,
and we know. And we know. And I wanted to ask you this
morning, what do you know? I'm sure you've been greeted
that way by somebody. What do you know? That's a common
greeting. Something we don't usually think
much about. What do we really know? Do you know me? Do I know you? Do you know your wife? Do you
know your husband? I could name some people that
thought they did. I was a friend of a man in Texas that
would have answered that question, she said, I know my wife, her
name's Charlotte. But then one day, somebody else
named Charlotte that he didn't know, left him and her children
without a word, without a word. Do you know the people in this
church? Do you know what they're going through? Do you know why
they do sometimes the things that they do? We think we do,
don't we? We think we know everything.
That's the problem. There are some things I don't
want to know. I don't want to know what I already know in some
cases. Do you know what's going to happen
today or tomorrow? Do you even know what has happened? What do you know? I'll tell you
what we know. John said, and we know. We know that this book is the truth. That's what we
know. And that's about it. That's about
it. This testimony It's the truth. I know that. We know that. In John 4.20, the Lord Jesus
Christ was speaking to the woman at the well. She's called that
because we don't know what her name was. Doesn't matter, does
it? She's the woman that the Lord revealed Himself to one
day at the well. He said, I must go through Samaria. I must needs go through Samaria.
And there wasn't any other reason for it except to meet this woman. And this woman said to him in
verse 20 of that chapter, and they were talking about the worship
of God. And this woman said to the Lord
Jesus Christ, our fathers worshiped in this mountain. And you say
that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. You
got to go somewhere to worship. You know, there's got to be a
place of worship. And Jesus saith unto her, woman, believe me,
the hour cometh when you shall neither in this mountain
nor yet at Jerusalem worship the Father. You worship you know not what. That's what the Lord said to
this woman. You don't know what you worship. Isn't that true
of religion today? You can ask the average church
member two questions about God and the one answer will contradict
the other. They have no idea what they worship.
And we wouldn't either. But by His grace, we know. By
His grace. We know what we worship. That's what He said to that woman. You have no idea what you worship,
but we know what we worship for salvations of the Jews. Talking
about His people, not the nation of Israel. The nation of Israel
It was in absolute darkness at this time. He's talking about
his people, spiritual Jews. Paul said, they are not all Israel,
which is of Israel. He is not a Jew, which is one
outwardly in the flesh, but one who is a Jew of the heart, an
Israelite in the heart. Those that have the same faith
Abraham had, that's the Jews of God. That's God's people.
He said, we know who we worship. In that word, what, he said there
in John 4, we know what we worship. That word is translated who 87
times in the New Testament. How do you think it ought to
be translated there? Do we worship a what or a who? But he said, the hour cometh,
and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit,
not in a mountain, not in a city, not in a specific place, in their
hearts by the Spirit of God and in truth, in truth. For the Father seeketh such to
worship him. Why do you worship God? Because
you got it figured out or because he sought you? because he will
be worshipped and he seeketh such to worship him that's why
I worship him because he sought me where I was in John 3 11 it says verily verily I say unto
thee we speak that we do know the Lord speaking in Nicodemus
there who had some questions for the Lord And he came telling
the Lord what he knew, didn't he? You look at John 3, we won't
take the time to spend much time there this morning, but the first
thing out of Nicodemus' mouth was, we know. And the Lord said to him, unless
you're born again, you don't know anything. You don't know
God, you don't know what he's done, you don't know yourself,
you can't see the kingdom of God. But the Lord said unto him, in
verse 11, we speak that we do know, and testify that we have
seen, and you receive not our witness. How can you know anything?
If you don't receive the testimony of God, if you don't receive
this book, and everybody says they're preaching this book,
listen to them and find out if they are. If you don't receive
God's word, how can you know anything about God or anything
about anything for that matter? You won't. You don't. We speak
that we do know. Christ said to that woman at
the well, we know, but you don't. You don't. And there was a time
when I didn't. How about you? Everybody said, well, I've always
loved Jesus. Somebody said one time, that's too long. That's
too long. You hadn't either. You're a liar.
There was a time when you didn't know. How do you know now? We're
going to talk about that in a little bit. But he said, we do know. We know, and you don't know what
you're worshiping. You don't have any idea who to
worship or why. And he said to Nicodemus there,
we talking about what we know, and you won't receive our testimony.
How can you know anything? Who are the we? We know, you
don't. Who are the we? God's people,
the Jews. We know that's not physical,
national Israel. The Word of God's clear on that. God chose the nation of Israel
as a type of His elect, the people of God. The nation of Israel,
by and large, didn't know God. Still don't. Talking about His
people, chosen people, Israel, spiritual Israel. We know and
you don't. All of God's sheep know Him.
Why? The prophet said they shall all
be taught of God. God taught us. That's how we
know. A man didn't teach us, did he? Peter, flesh and blood
didn't reveal this unto you. Flesh and blood can't reveal.
God's got to reveal. They shall all be taught of God.
All of them. All of His sheep. All of His people. The Lord said,
My sheep know My voice and they follow Me. They won't follow
somebody else. They won't follow a stranger. Why? Because they
know something. They know somebody. What do you
know? What do you know? What do I know? We know an opinion has nothing
to do with it. It's not that we have a better
opinion than somebody else. Interpretation has nothing to
do with it. Paul said that the Scripture,
the Word of God is not of any private interpretation. It's
not, well this is my interpretation of it and this is your interpretation
of it. I don't care what your interpretation of it is and you
ought not to care about mine. It's what God said. I don't need
somebody to tell me what God meant by what He said. Just tell
me what God said. That's what we need to know.
We need to find out what God said. And your opinion, my opinion
doesn't matter. There's no room for debate when
you know, is there? If you know something, you just
want to sit down and argue with somebody about it? What a colossal
waste of time. Now if I respect other people's
opinions about something and I want to hear both sides of
the story, then I might debate it. I don't want to hear it concerning
the things of God. Do you? Why not? Because we know. If you don't know what we know,
and I know how this sounds, it's just the truth. And when I'm
talking about we, I'm using it the same way that John did. We
know something. If you don't know what we know,
then what you know is a lie. We have an example in the very
context here of John 21 of what human interpretation is worth.
You remember that? We talked about it last week.
Look at verse 21. Peter seeing him saith to Jesus,
Lord, and what shall this man do? And we know he was talking
about John because John in our text there said, he's talking
about me. This is who, I'm the one he's talking about. All right.
And Jesus saith unto him, if I will that he tarry till I come,
what is that to thee? He just told Peter, you're gonna
die at the hands of somebody that's gonna take you somewhere
you don't wanna go. They're not going to be pleasant as far as
the flesh is concerned. And Peter said, well, what about
John? How's he going to die? And the Lord said, what if I
choose that he don't die at all? What is that to you? What business
is that of yours? Wow. You follow me, Peter. That's
your business. Follow me. It's the same business
it was when I first met you. Follow me. Then, look at verse
23, then went this saying abroad among the brethren that that
disciple should not die. Yet Jesus said not unto him he
shall not die. He didn't say he's not going
to die. He said if that's what I want, that's what I'll do.
He didn't say that's the way it was going to be, did he? And
yet everybody started spreading the rumor, John's not going to
die. That's what interpretation is worth right there. This is what I believe He meant
by what He said. I believe He meant John's not
going to die. You're wrong. How do we know He's wrong? He
said not. Jesus said not. That's how you
know the difference. You don't have to be in the dark
about it. You don't have to wonder what God said. Find out what
He said. There are some things that He
said, and there are some things that He said not. Let's find
out what they are. If what you say doesn't match
what Christ said, that's what happened here. That'll make a
liar out of you every time. Every time. Isaiah 8 and verse
20. Somebody said a long time ago,
thousands of years ago, to the law and to the testimony, if
they speak not according to this word, it's because there's no
light in them. Listen to what people are saying.
And if it doesn't match up exactly with what God said, it's because
they're in darkness. That's what God said. How can we be so bold? How can
we say we're right and everybody else is wrong? I had this conversation
before with somebody that I used to work with. Somebody I cared
about. I liked him. We got along and
we talked about things. He was willing to discuss the
things of God without any conflict, and so we did. But I remember
he said I was very arrogant. He said, how can you say your
opinion is the truth when others have opinions also? I said, because
it's not my opinion. It's what God said. If words
mean anything, if you can understand English, you can find out what
God said. You don't have to depend on my opinion, do you? Or anybody
else's. It's the Word of God. And thinking
about it later, about that conversation with him, I thanked God because
I realized why it is that I know whom I have believed. Was Paul
being arrogant when he said, I know whom I have believed?
And I'm persuaded. I don't want to debate it with
you. I'm persuaded that he's able to keep that which I've
committed unto him. What have you committed unto him, Paul?
Everything. My soul, my life, my body. Everything he gave me. We give it back to him by his
grace. By his grace. I'm persuaded of that. I'm convinced
of it and there's no use talking about it if you don't agree.
Was he being arrogant when he said that? Was he being arrogant
when he said, though I or an angel from heaven preach any
other gospel to you than that which we have preached? Let him
be accursed. Let that angel go to hell because
it's apparent he's not one of God's elect angels, or he wouldn't
be lying to you. That's how confident he was in
the gospel that he preached. And I'll tell you this, I don't
know much else, but I know this gospel that we preach is the
truth of God. It's the truth of God. It's not arrogance. It's just
that we know. By God's grace, we know. I'm not searching for the truth.
I desire to know him more. I study not to find out what
the truth is, though. I'm not searching for the truth.
I study, as Paul said to Timothy, to show thyself approved unto
God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing
the word of truth. If you don't know the truth,
you can't rightly divide it. God's got to reveal the truth
to us. I know the truth, but we don't
know anything like we ought to know, do we? Oh, I want to know him more,
don't you? I want to know him better. And I sure enough want to handle
this word rightly. I want to handle it rightly.
That's what that word means there, to rightly divide. It means to
handle it aright. You know, you can make the scripture
say anything you want it to say if people are blind enough to
listen to it. deaf enough to listen to it. How do we know? Let's ask a few
questions and we'll be through this morning. How do we know?
How do we know what we know? Turn to Matthew chapter 16. I
know that everybody could probably quote at least a portion of this
passage of scripture, but I want us to look at it in context of
what we're addressing this morning. It's Matthew 16, 13. When Jesus came into the coasts
of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do
men say that I, the Son of Man, am? And they said, Some say that
thou art John the Baptist. Some say Elias. And others, Jeremias,
or one of the prophets. People still say that. He's a
great man. It doesn't matter what name. He's in our example. He's a great man. He's a great
teacher. No, he's more than that. He saith unto them, but whom
say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and
said, you're the Christ. That kind of narrows it down,
doesn't it? There's not but one Christ. Oh, I know there are
many false Christs. Peter said even today, there
are many false Christs. They say, lo, here is Christ,
or there is Christ. They're just one Christ. Peter
said, you're the Christ. The Son of the Living God. I'd say Peter knew something
that these others didn't know, wouldn't you? They said, He's
Elijah. Nobody greater than Elijah, this must be Him. Peter knew
something that they didn't know. How? And Jesus answered and said
unto him, blessed art thou, Simon Barjona. That's how you know
when they don't. That's why they say what they
say and you're saying what you just said, because you're blessed
of God, that's why. Flesh and blood hath not revealed
this unto thee. That comes straight from God,
my father. Born from above. That's what
born again means. My Father which is in heaven
hath revealed it. Revealed it. Unto thee. Not flesh and blood. Not man.
You're not going to figure it out. Nobody's going to be able
to tell you. Unless God has told them. And then He'll have to
tell you too. He may use them to do it. But
God will have to reveal Himself to you. Or you won't know Him.
You won't know His Son. Matthew 13.11 He answered, His
disciples and said unto them, it is given unto you to know. Is that clear enough? How do
we know? How do we know what we know?
It is given unto you to know, but to them it is not given. What is salvation? Is it the
gift of God or is it something man works up? Now honestly, the
gift of God, it's given to you to know. This is the record that
God has given us eternal life. And this life is in His Son.
Is that your testimony? Or would your testimony sound
more like the Pharisee who said, I'm glad I'm not like everybody
else. Man, I know something. I give, I tithe, I pray, I do. This is God's record. that He
gave us life. The Lord Jesus Christ said, as
the Father quickeneth whom He will, so the Son has authority
to give life to whomsoever He will. We know that Christ is
sovereign. We know that. Because He was pleased to reveal
it to us. He saves whom He will. He said, I will have mercy on
whom I will have mercy. And that's what he does. He has
mercy on who he's pleased to have mercy on, just like he said. Why do I know? Why me? Have you ever wondered
that? When there are so many that to the human eye, at least,
would seem like so much better candidates. for his grace. Why would he pass my brother
by and reveal himself to me? Why? The Apostle Paul said, when
it pleased God, he revealed his son in me. He does it because it pleases
him. He saves who He wants to save.
He passes by a thousand and saves one. He leaves the ninety and
nine and goes after that one lost sheep because it pleases
Him to do that. It pleases Him. When will you know? Same verse,
when it pleased God. He revealed His Son in me when
He wanted to. Our brother talked about it this
morning, the time of love. Ezekiel prophesied that God passed
by that dead baby, that bloody nasty dead baby in a field. And God said, it's the time of
love. And he said to him, live, live, live. The one who gives
life to whomsoever he will said live to that one. In Luke 24, when our Lord appeared
to some of the disciples and spoke with them after His resurrection,
they didn't know who He was at first. Our brother referred to
that this morning too in his lesson. They had no idea who
this was that was talking with them. And then He showed them
His hands and side. And it says they knew Him. They
knew Him and they rejoiced. And then it says in verse 45,
Then opened He their understanding that they might understand the
Scriptures. Then. Why didn't he do that a long
time before that? Why didn't the Lord just when
he first met Peter there on the beach, when he was fit, why didn't
he just open his understanding? I can't answer that, can you?
I don't know. I'm just telling you what we know. I can't tell
you what we don't know. But I know this, when it pleases
God, he'll reveal himself to you. And I know how he'll do
it. Because it says, it pleased God.
And I guarantee you, what pleases Him, that's what He'll do. Isn't
that what the prophet said? In Isaiah, God said, through
Isaiah the prophet, I will do all my pleasure. If it pleases
Him, He'll do it. And Paul said, it pleased God
by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. If
He's going to reveal Himself to you, you're going to have
to hear some preaching somewhere. And it's going to have to be
what we know. Because error can't save anybody. He's not going to do that. He's
not going to save you that way. their understanding. And he didn't
do that for everybody. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2.14,
The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God.
If God leaves you in your natural condition, you'll receive nothing.
You'll understand nothing. That's what he said to Nicodemus.
Except you be born from above, you can't see the Kingdom of
God. The natural man, as we're born into this world, receiveth
not the things of the Spirit of God. Why not? They're foolishness
to him. He thinks they're ridiculous.
And he will until God turns the light on him. Paul thought they
were ridiculous when he was solved Tarsus and went about trying
to kill everybody and shut everybody up that preached it. But then
God turned the light on, literally, in his case. And then why are they foolish?
Because they're spiritually discerned and you have no spiritual life
by nature. Natural man has no spiritual
life. But he that is spiritual Judgeth
all things. That word judgeth means discerneth,
understandeth, knoweth. All things that pertain to life,
God has revealed in His Son, Jesus Christ. If you know the
Son, you know all things. Do we want to know Him better?
Oh yeah. But I know Him by God's grace. I know Him. And knowing
him, I know everything there is to know." We already said,
we don't know anything like we ought to know. Paul said in 1
Corinthians 8.1, for the sake of time, let me read this to
you. In 1 Corinthians 8.1, Paul said, now as touching things
offered unto idols, we know. There's our words again. We know
that we all have knowledge. We all know that something offered
to an idol is just a piece of meat. It doesn't get poisoned
after you offer it to an idol. It doesn't change the meat. It's
just a steak still, just like it was before. We know. We have
knowledge. But knowledge, without the grace
of God, he said, knowledge puffeth up. It'll make you proud. That's
all it'll do. But love buildeth up. If you know what you know, by
God's grace, and you know it's by God's grace, and His love
is shed abroad in your heart, that knowledge buildeth up. But
knowledge alone, without grace, without love in your heart, it's
less than worthless. But listen to verse 2. If any
man think that he knoweth anything, and this is what we'll think
if it's just knowledge, the knowledge that puffeth up, we'll go, oh
boy, I've got that now, I've figured that out, now let's move
on to something else. Back up. You don't know anything yet as
you ought to know. That's what he said right there. He knoweth
nothing yet as he ought to know. Nothing. Nothing. We're not to boast that we know
anything. That's not what the gospel...
We don't present the gospel that way. We know more than you. By
God's grace, we know Him. We know the truth. That's by
His grace. We wouldn't know anything. if
it wasn't given us to know, given us. And we simply tell what we
know. And by God's grace only what
we know. May he give us grace not to tell
anything else except what we know. You who are believers, do you
know you're a sinner? You know that, don't you? But
do you know Do you have any idea how vile you are? You see what
he's saying? We don't know anything like we
ought to. We don't know anything. Do you
know God? Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ?
Why did Paul say in Philippians 3.9 after he had preached the
gospel for I don't know how many years, for years, Why did he
say in Philippians 3.9, that I may know Him? Paul, what are you doing preaching
if you don't know Him? I know Him, but I long to know Him. Do you know what he means by
that? That I may know Him in the power of His resurrection.
Why did John say in 1 John 5.13, these things have I written unto
you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may
know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the
name of the Son of God? Why would He say that? He just
said we believe on the name of the Son of God. But He said,
I am speaking to you that believe on the name of the Son of God
that you might believe on the name of the Son of God. Do you
understand what He is saying? And this seems like a good time
to look at the rest of the text. What do we know? Who do we know? Look at these words in the last
verse there of John 21. And there are also many other
things which Jesus did. Now, if you think about what
he just said before that, we know that this record, this testimony
is true. And there are also many other
things which Jesus did. It tells you what the record
had to do with, doesn't it? There are other things also that
he did. The record has to do with what he did. You see that
there? What we know, everything that
we know, has to do with a person. It has to do with a person. In
Romans 1.1, and I've got to hurry, so just listen. Jot these down
if you want to look at them. Romans 1.1, Paul introduced himself. He said, I'm Paul, a servant
of Jesus Christ, called by God's grace to be an apostle, separated
unto the gospel of God. Didn't God come one day and say,
separate unto me, Paul and Barnabas? Separated, not I separated myself. God separated me unto the gospel
of God, Talking about the gospel now that we preach. Which he
had promised afore by his prophets in the Holy Scriptures. This
is not something new that we've come up with. This is the same
gospel God's been telling forth since the prophets, since the
beginning. The same message God has always
had for his people. Concerning his son, Jesus Christ
our Lord. John said, what I've written,
Everything, this testimony, it's the truth. And Christ did some
other things also that are not written here because we ain't
got enough paper. Is that what he said? We don't
have enough room. We can't write it all. But what we've written is what
he did. Not what he would do, what he did. I know whom I have believed. Paul said it the right way, didn't
he? I know whom. And the same man who said, I
know whom I have believed, he said, we preach Christ. We preach a person. And what
he did, him crucified. And John said, here's what he
did. And it's the truth. It's the truth. I know whom. First John 1.1, that which was
from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen
with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have
handled of the word of life. For the life was manifested.
It was revealed. God sent him down here. No man
has seen God at any time. The Son hath revealed him. The Son hath declared him. have
manifested and we've seen we've seen john said we've seen and
we bear witness and show unto you that eternal life which was
with the father and was manifested unto us and that which we have
seen and heard declare we unto you that you also may have fellowship
with us and truly our fellowship is with the father and with His
Son, Jesus Christ. His Son, Jesus Christ. He's the
one that was manifested. He's the one that came down.
He's the one we saw and heard and by His grace believed on.
If you know God, how do you know God? How is God
revealed? In the person of His Son. If
you know God, it is that you know Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians
4, 6, For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
has shined in our hearts. He given light, the light of
the knowledge. And we know, what do we know? The glory of God. How do you
know? In the face of Jesus Christ. That's where you saw it. If you
know God, you know His Son. And you know God. He that honoreth
not the Son honoreth not the Father. If you've seen me, He
said, you've seen the Father. They said, show us the Father,
and he said, don't you know me? Have I been with you this long
and you don't know me? No man hath seen God at any time,
John 1.18. The only begotten Son, which
is in the bosom of the Father. He hath declared Him. He hath
declared Him. He hath revealed Him. He has
made Him manifest. He is the express image of God,
Hebrews 1.1-3. He is the He's God in human flesh, God
with us, Emmanuel, God with us. If you know God, it's because
you know what John knew, you know a person, and you know what
Paul knew, I know whom. And you've seen God's glory in
the face of somebody, Jesus Christ. Did you know even what you know
of yourself comes from a knowledge of him? If you know what you
are before God by nature, if you know anything about yourself,
it's because you know Him. We know some things about ourselves,
don't we? Paul said, I know, in Romans 7, 18, he said, I know
that in me, that is in my flesh, dwelleth
no good thing. I know that. Do you? You know
how I know that? Because I've seen Christ. Job said, I've heard of you,
God. I've heard of you. You know who
Job was talking to? Jesus Christ. The Word of God. God's Word. He said, I've heard
of you. But now I see you. And I hate
myself. If you know anything about you,
it's because you know Him. You've seen Him. If you want
to know how God can be just. How is God going to save you
and still be God? How is He not going to taint
His holiness? How can God even look on sin,
much less grab hold of a sinner and lift him up? How can He have
anything to do with me? What is man that thou art mindful
of him? How can God save me? You want to know how? You're
going to have to know a person. You're going to have to know
a man, the man. You're going to have to know
the one John knew. And we know. We know that this
is the truth. And this is what he did. We know
him. We know what he did. You must
know Jesus Christ, the sinner's substitute, to know the gospel,
because he is the gospel. 1 John 5.11 This is the record
that God hath given unto us eternal life, and this life is in His
Son. He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the
Son of God hath not life. That's pretty plain, isn't it? 1 Corinthians 15.1 Moreover,
brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto
you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand, But which
also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached to
you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first
of all that which I also received. That's what John's doing in our
text, isn't he? I saw something, I know, this is what Christ did
and I've written it down, it's the truth. And I know it, I know. And here he said, I delivered
to you what I received. God revealed it to me. Maybe
He'll reveal it to you. Maybe He'll reveal it to our
loved ones. Maybe. Peradventure. I know if He will, He can. He
can if He will. What was it that you received
that you're delivering unto me? How that Christ died for our
sins according to the Scriptures. Not according to the gospel so-called
of this religious world. That's not how he died. How that
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. His name's
Jesus because he shall save them. When he sheds his precious blood,
he bought somebody. He redeemed somebody. You know
who it was? We. We know. Who you know will dictate your
entire life. Second Corinthians 5.14, the
love of Christ constraineth us because we thus judge, because
we know. That word judge is discern. It'll ruin you. If you know him,
it'll ruin you as far as this world is concerned. It'll mess
you up something fierce. They won't want to have anything
to do with you sooner or later. That's all right. That's all right. The love of
Christ constraineth us because we judge. We know that if one
died for all, it's because I was dead. And that he died for all
that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves,
but unto him. Unto him which died for them
and rose again. Do you know? Do you know? We know. Christ
said to that woman at the well, in John 4, 10, he said this to
her, if you knew, you would ask. Do you know? When you know him, You won't so much be wanting
to tell God what you know, but you'll ask. You won't be talking about what
you've done for God or what you're going to do for God. You'll ask
Him to do something for you. He said to that woman at the
well, if you knew the gift of God and who it is that's talking
to you, you would have asked, and I would have given you living
water. Do you know if you knew? If you ever do know, how will
you know it's given? When will you know? When it pleased
God. What will you know? I know whom. When you know, what will you
do? If you knew, you would ask. Not argue, ask. Not act, ask. Let's bow in prayer.
