Tonight, three weeks ago, Brother
Frank Hall, for our scripture reading, read to us the sixth
chapter of Daniel. And as soon as he read the passage,
I thought, I have got to preach from that passage soon. And I've
been studying it, and I believe God's given me a message for
you. Daniel chapter six. The title of my message is The
Gospel from the lion's den. When Nebuchadnezzar took Israel
into captivity, when he besieged Jerusalem and carried away the
instruments of worship and put them in the house of his gods,
Daniel was a young man. And by the time we get to Daniel
chapter 6, he's at least somewhere between 70 and 80 years old.
It's almost at the end of the Babylonian captivity when we
get to Daniel chapter 6. This prophet of God was a man
uniquely gifted for his day, uniquely gifted to minister to
God's people in Babylon during the time of captivity through
the reigns of these various pagan kings. He was one of those Jews
carried away by Nebuchadnezzar, but God especially sent him to
Babylon to preserve alive the witness for God among his people. He gave Daniel special gifts,
gifts that no other man had, gifts that defied reason so far
as all the magicians of Babylon were concerned. Daniel, you'll
remember, told Nebuchadnezzar not just the interpretation of
his dream, He told the old man the dream. Nebuchadnezzar had
dreamed a dream, and he was greatly disturbed by it, but he forgot
what he dreamed. Happens to me all the time. But I've never
expected anybody to tell me what I dreamed, let alone the meaning
of it. Nebuchadnezzar said to the magicians, to the magi of
his realm, either you will tell me the dream and tell me the
interpretation of it, I'm going to have you killed. And they
found this fellow named Daniel. Daniel who had been held in such
high repute and Daniel gave Nebuchadnezzar Exactly what he had dreamed and
the interpretation by the wisdom of the Most High God then in
chapter 4 Nebuchadnezzar is Proud of his great kingdom and he's
had another dream and Daniel tells him the meaning of the
dreams that God's going to drive you to from your throne, and
you're going to eat grass like a wild beast. And Nebuchadnezzar
was driven from his throne, and he grew nails like the nails
of an eagle, and hair like feather on his back, and ate grass like
an ox. And he said, when my reason returned
to me, I now praise and extol the King of heaven. He found
out who God is. He found out how worthless man
he is, himself being the chief of the worthless ones. He found
out that which Daniel said you must learn, the heavens do rule. And he confessed it in all his
kingdom. Then in the fifth chapter, Belshazzar
had a dream. And he saw the handwriting on
the wall and Daniel told him the meaning of it. And Daniel
was then given a scarlet robe and a gold chain, was put on
his neck, and the king made him the third ruler in the kingdom. Look at chapter 5, verse 25. This is the writing that was
written. Many, many tekel yufarsin, verse 26. This is the meaning. This is the interpretation of
the thing. Many. God hath numbered thy kingdom
and finished it. Tycho, thou art weighed in the
balances and found wanting. Perez, thy kingdom is divided
and given to the Medes and Persians. Then commanded Belshazzar, and
they clothed Daniel with scarlet and put a chain of gold about
his neck and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should
be the third ruler in the kingdom. Can you imagine what it'd take
for a man to speak to a king like he just spoke to that king?
And can you imagine what overruling hand of God's providence it took
for that king to whom Daniel had just so spoken to elevate
him to such a prominent position of power and authority in the
kingdom of Babylon? This man who is a Jewish captive,
this man who is a slave in Babylon held there for nearly 70 years.
And that night, what Daniel said came to pass. Belshazzar was
slain, and Darius, or Darius, became king. This foreigner came
in and took over. And now we come to Chapter 6.
Darius, I'll say it till I'm dead, I reckon Darius, that's
the way Southerners pronounce it, or Darius, Darius, this Babylonian
king was of the Medes and Persians. And he set 120 princes over the
kingdom. He was good at delegating things.
He established three presidents over all those princes and governors
that he made in Babylon. And Daniel was made to be the
chief of the presidents. That is, all the other governors,
all the other presidents that Darius had made and set up to
serve under him had to report to Daniel, all of them. All of those men who had been
raised in the kingdom, all those men who came in with Darius,
they had to report to this Hebrew slave preacher. And they didn't like it. They
didn't like it a little bit. They were envious of Daniel,
jealous of him, horribly jealous of him. And they decided that
they're going to have to get rid of him. They're just gonna
have to get rid of him one way or the other. Look at verse 1.
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty
princes, which should be over the whole kingdom, and over these
three presidents of whom Daniel was first, that the princes might
give account unto them, and the king should have no damage. Then
this Daniel was preferred above all the presidents and princes
because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king thought
to set him over the whole realm. The king thought, I'm going to
make this man Daniel like Pharaoh did Joseph. I'm going to make
him to serve just under me above everybody else. The other presidents,
filled with their envy and jealousy, determined that they would destroy
Daniel. Daniel hadn't done anything to
harm them. He hadn't said anything against them. He hadn't been
picketing against the other presidents. He hadn't been trying to usurp
the government. All he did was serve God. All he did was walk before God
honorably. All he did all the days of his
time in Babylon was worship God as God taught him to worship
him in his word and by his prophets. When the king required them to
eat the king's idolatrous feast and drink the king's idolatrous
wine that had been offered in his idolatrous temple, Daniel
refused to do so, even if it cost him his life. He refused
to do it. And the fellow who was over said,
Daniel, now I like you, buddy, but if you don't eat this, if
you don't eat this meat and drink this wine, you're going to look
kind of pale and the king going to kill me for it. And Daniel
said, I'll tell you what, you feed us vegetables and keep the
meat and keep the wine. Give us 10 days and see if we
don't live better than anybody else by God's blessing. And he
did. And he did. Daniel believed God. And he walked with God, and he
honored God. He had a reputation. Everybody
who knew him knew that three times every day, you could go
to Daniel's house, and you'd find his windows open, and you'd
find him on his knees before his God, worshiping God, praising
God, supplicating God's throne. Everybody around knew that. Well,
these other princes and presidents decided some way or another they're
going to have to discredit Daniel. And they started looking for
something, looking for something. That's what people do. And start
looking for something. Some, some, some kink in your
armor, some, some weak point. Politicians do it all the time.
These folks are just exactly like Democrats and Republicans
today. Just exactly like them. Both. I include both deliberately. Always looking for something
we can, there's a, there's a point we can work on that. And they
couldn't find anything. And they said to themselves,
if we're going to oppose Daniel, If we're going to trap Daniel,
if we're going to get rid of Daniel, we're going to have to
find something in connection with his worship of his God that
the king will oppose. And that's the plan. Look at
verse 4. Then the presidents and princes
sought to find an occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom,
but they could find none occasion nor fault. for as much as he
was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, we shall
not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it
against him concerning the law of his God. Then these presidents
and princes assembled together to the king. They came to Darius,
and they said unto him, King Darius, live forever. Oh, we really honor you. We're so glad that God killed
Nebuchadnezzar and killed Belshazzar. Now we've got you to be our king.
We're so glad you're the king. So glad he brought you in here
to rule over us Babylonians. Live forever. And all the presidents
of the kingdom, and the governors, and the princes, and the counselors,
and the captains, that takes about just everybody that's got
any power. I mean, everybody who was anybody. They've assembled
together here to get rid of one man. They've assembled together
to destroy one man, to keep him from having any influence, not
because of any evil in him, but just sheer envy and jealousy. Read on. We've consulted together
to establish a royal statute and to make it a firm decree
that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for 30 days,
save thee, O King. Anybody ask of God or a man anything
in prayer, make a supplication to any man or any God except
you for 30 days. he should be cast into the den
of lions. Now, O King, establish the decree
and sign the writing that it be not changed according to the
law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Wherefore,
King Darius signed the writing and the decree, pretending to
honor King Darius these wicked Wretched self-serving men drew
up this decree. They called it a royal statute
It was nothing but a statute of their own lust it required
that anyone who? Supplicated any throne except
the rise throne for 30 days will be thrown to the den of lions
They knew That this was going to get Daniel. I knew it Because
Daniel wasn't going to bend or bow or scrape for anything Daniel
wasn't a, he wasn't a troublemaker. He, he wasn't, he wasn't one
of these fellas who's involved in everything, but he wasn't
going to bend or bow or scrape when it came to the worship of
his God. It wasn't going to happen. They knew just as sure as Darius
would be elated with the thought that they so highly honored him.
Oh, look how these people have honored me. Daniel was going
to honor his God. And so they set the trap. Darius
or Darius was fooled. Flattery usually does fool fellows
real easy. They talked him into making this
law and he sealed it with his own seal as a law of the Medes
and Persians. And the law of the Medes and
Persians could not be altered once the king put his seal there. I heard this morning on the news
while I was getting dressed, The folks in Congress or in the
Senate, one of the two, maybe both of them, some of them saying
if they get this healthcare thing passed, we're going to repeal
it. We'll run on. We'll make our next election. That'll be
the issue. We're going to repeal this law. Well, this law couldn't
be repealed. There wasn't a Congress that
could do it. There wasn't a Senate that could do it. The king made
the law. It stood fast. Not even the king could alter
the law. It stood firm. Look at verses
10 through 17. Here we see Daniel doing exactly
as his enemies expected. Now, when Daniel knew, it's important
that you read this, Daniel knew. He knew exactly what he was doing.
He knew that the writing was signed. He went into his house. He got up in the morning and
turned on Fox News and he said, well, the king's enacted a new
law. Anybody who anybody who prays to another God could be
thrown in the den of lions So he set his clock and he prayed
at 8 and at noon and at 5 just like I always did You know what
he had to do? Could have been so easy Would
have been so easy. All they had to do to get by
with it was pull his curtains All they had to do was shut the
blinds All that do is get in private. Now we worship God.
We worship God. What would be wrong with that?
It'd be Daniel accepting and acknowledging to those pagan,
ungodly, reprobate men that he feared them and their king and
not God. That's the problem. That's the
problem. You see, Worship and faith always
involve cost and consequence. Always. Following Christ always
costs something. Sometimes costs dearly. Daniel
knew what he was doing. And his windows being opened
in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three
times a day and prayed. and gave thanks before his God
as he did aforetime. Then these men assembled and
found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. Skip down to verse 14. Then the king, when he heard
these words, was sore displeased with himself. He knew he had
been trapped. He knew they laid a snare for
him, and he was trapped. He was displeased with himself,
and he set his heart on Daniel to deliver him. Oh, how can I
get out of this? You ever been there? I've made
a mess of things. How can I fix this? Verse 15,
then these men assembled unto the king and said unto the king,
no, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is that no
decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed. Then the king commanded, and
they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. Now,
here is a good politician. I mean, it's just exactly what
I expect from him. Now, the king spake and said
unto Daniel, Daniel, The Lord bless you. God be with you, Daniel. I've
got to save my hide. Thy God, not God, thy God, whom
thou service continually, he will deliver thee. And a stone
was brought and laid upon the mouth of the den, and the king
sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his Lord's,
that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. And the princes of Babylon reported Daniel to the king and
reminded the king of his decree. And Darius labored to the going
down of the sun to deliver him. But there was nothing he could
do. The law was established. Daniel violated the law. and
the sentence of the law must be carried out, or Darius must
abdicate. No alternative. Daniel broke
the law. The sentence of the law must
be executed, or Darius must give up his throne. The king commanded
Daniel then to be cast into the den of lions. And he said to
him, thy God whom thou servest continually He will deliver thee. Read on, verse 18. Then the king went to his palace
and passed the night fasting. He didn't eat anything all night.
Neither were instruments of music brought before him. Nobody tried
to cheer him up. His sleep went from him. Then
the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste
into the den of lions And when he came to the den, he cried
with a lamentable voice unto Daniel. And the king spake and
said unto Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God,
whom thou service continually, able to deliver thee from the
lions? Then said Daniel unto the king,
O king, live forever. My God hath sent his angel. Looks to me like Daniel is speaking
as though when he speaks of this angel, there's only one like
it. Not an angel, but his angel. He's talking about the Lord Jesus,
a pre-incarnate revelation of our Savior. That same one, the
Son of Man walking or the Son of God walking in the midst of
the burning and fiery furnace in the earlier chapter. My God
has sent his angel and hath shut the lion's mouths that they have
not hurt me. Verse 23, then was the king exceeding
glad for Daniel and commanded that they should take Daniel
up out of the den. The same king by the same law
that had said throw Daniel in the lion's den and had to do
so, either that or abdicate his throne, now gives the same command
and says bring Daniel up out of the lion's den. Verse 25,
then King Darius wrote unto all the people, nations, and languages
that dwell in all the earth, peace be multiplied unto you.
I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble
and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God and
steadfast forever. And his kingdom, that which shall
not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. The Lord indeed delivered Daniel
out of the lion's den. And Daniel being delivered from
the lion's den is probably one of the best known, most familiar
stories that's repeated of what are called Bible stories told
to children and young people all across the world. But most
people think of this like they do most of the wondrous works
that God has done in days gone by as just being a display of
great divine power. Great power. And, you know, they
try to figure out how this can be done or that can be done and
think it's about the wonder of it all. Sort of like, you know,
Aesop's fables. Just great tales of great things
with a good moral lesson, but nothing in it really of substance
or meaning. The fact is this, like all the
other of God's wondrous works, was intended by our God as it
came to pass and as it is recorded here in the book of God to give
us a picture of redemption and grace in Jesus Christ our Lord. Let me make four statements and
I'll show you those four things, wrap this up, and I hope send
you home rejoicing. Four lessons to be learned from
this picture of Daniel being delivered from the lion's den.
Number one, number one, the law of God cannot be changed. God said the soul that sinneth,
it shall die. It won't change because God won't
change every single sinner. Every individual sinner must
suffer the fury of God's holy wrath. No exceptions anywhere. Everyone. Our brother read to
us back in the office just a little bit ago. Second Corinthians chapter
five. We'll all be judged according
to our works and we all shall be so that every sin must be
punished. Every sinner must suffer death
as the wages of sin. either personally or in a substitute,
able with infinite worth to satisfy the justice of God. God's law
cannot change. Like the law of the Medes and
Persians, it altereth not. Unlike Darius' law, which was
a foolish one, God's law is holy and just and good. Unlike Darius'
law, which was made only out of sinful pride, God's law is
righteous and upright. It is a revelation of the holiness
of God and the righteousness of God. Not a perfect revelation,
but a revelation of God's holiness and his righteousness. God's
law is spiritual and it requires spiritual obedience, perfect
spiritual obedience, not not just outward obedience to the
letter, Oh no. The rich young ruler, he had
that. But the rich young ruler lacked
one thing. He lacked life before God. He
lacked Christ Jesus the Lord. He lacked honesty and sincerity
or he would have acknowledged and he would have known that
there was something on the inside that was missing. The Lord said,
love God with all your heart, soul, mind and being and your
neighbor as yourself. This is the whole of the law.
And that rich young ruler said, well, I've always kept the commandments.
I don't ever remember stealing anything. I don't ever remember
telling a lie. I never committed adultery or
fornication. I never blasphemed God. I never cussed in my life.
I've always been a good boy. My mama will tell you so. Always
have been. He didn't understand that the
law, God's law, reaches beyond deed. Our law, all the laws of
men, just deal with deeds. God's law deals with thought
and intent and heart and emotion and feeling. Paul said, I didn't
know what it was to covet until the commandment came and sin
revived and I died because I found out I was a covetous idolater. God's law is not going to change.
It's perfect. This is what the law says. Cursed
is everyone. that continueth not in all things
written in the book of the law to do them. You want acceptance
with God on the basis of what you do? Go back and read the
commandments. Read them. And if you break the
law in any point, at any time, you're damned by your own words. Cursed is everyone that continueth
not in all things written in the book of the law to do them.
So that you can forget about your good works outweighing your
bad works. You can forget about the idea
of somehow, you know, us good people, we're going up there
to whatever heaven is, the bad folks, they're going to be damned,
whatever that is, forever. If you look on a woman and lust
after her, That's called adultery. If you're suddenly enraged, Bill,
that's called murder. It's called murder. Read Matthew
chapter five. So what the book says. Now, which
of you is going to stand before God and be accepted on basis
of your works? Which of you wish to appear before
God on the basis of what you do? Here's the second thing. God's law can't be changed and
we've broken it. We violated God's holy law from
our youth up. We went astray from our mother's
womb speaking lies. It's our nature. The law of King
Darius that Daniel violated was a wicked law and should have
been disregarded. should have been disregarded
by one like Daniel who truly believed God. Daniel could not
refuse to worship God. Daniel could not go three days
or 30 days and not pray. One day he couldn't do it. He
worshiped God. He worshipped God. He must call
upon his God. He must supplicate God's throne.
He lived in continual need of God's grace. And if he needed
God's grace, he must violate the law, no matter what the consequences,
for God alone is God. And so the law should have been
broken by Daniel, one who truly worshipped God. But God's law. God's law ought to be obeyed. Not only because it's God's law
and that makes it right, but if we were to obey God's law,
how beneficial it would be to us. How beneficial it is in any
society, or has been historically, whenever the law of God has been
made the basis of legal practice and law in the land. how blessed
this society would be today. Today, if every rapist, every
what people call pedophile, every queer, every murderer were put
to death and done so violently so that the whole world knew
about it, the whole society would be better off. But brother Don,
surely you're not calling for that. Oh, I am calling for that.
I am calling for that. I'm calling for the law to return
to what it once was. But the fact is, we can't possibly,
we can't possibly obey God's law because we went astray the
first time. And having broken the law the
first time, we can't repair it. We went astray from the womb,
speaking lies, and we can't make up for the past. Even if we were
able to make up, able to improve things in the future, we can't
make satisfaction to God's justice. We went astray in our father,
Adam, and we've continued straying ever since. Number three, number
three. Remember, God said the soul that
sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity
of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity
of the son. The righteousness of the righteous
shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. That's Ezekiel 1820. Here's the
third thing. God will deliver his elect. God's law cannot be altered. We have all violated God's law,
but God will deliver. He will save his elect. Darius
couldn't find a way to deliver Daniel from his law. But God
Almighty, from old eternity, shouted in covenant grace, Eureka! I found it! I found a way of
ransom. Deliver him from going down to
the pit, for I have found a ransom. The living God, the triune God,
found a way to honor his law, to magnify his law, to satisfy
his justice without compromising his holiness, a way whereby he
could be just and the justifier of sinful men like you and me.
Turn to Romans chapter 3. Romans chapter 3. Very familiar passage. Hold your
hands here, Daniel. We'll come right back here. Paul has just described our sinfulness,
our corruption, our depravity, the evil of our hearts, the evil
of our natures, the evil of our ways, the evil of our deeds.
Now, in verse 19, he says, Now we know that what things, whoever
the law sayeth, it sayeth to them who are under the law. Whatever
the law says, it says to those who are under the law, those
who are motivated by the law, those who think they can establish
righteousness by the law, those who are condemned and cursed
by the law, that every mouth may be stopped. The purpose of
the law being given is to shut your mouth. So you quit thinking
about much less bragging about how good you are. So you quit
thinking about much less bragging about how noble you are. So you
quit thinking about much less bragging about how righteous
you are. The law was given to shut you up, to shut you up. And all the world may become
guilty before God. Brother Don, everybody's guilty.
Ask them. Ask them. I'll give you a challenge. Go
find somebody tomorrow. Just go looking for somebody
tomorrow who's guilty before God. If you will, please bring
them by the office so I can meet them. Somebody who's guilty before
God. I've got good news, folks, whose
mouths are shut. Who are guilty before God. God
chose you. Christ died for you. You're the
object of God's grace. The law is given, not that we
might live by the law, never was given for that. You can't
live by the ordinance of death. It was given to stop our mouths,
make us guilty. Therefore, by the deeds of the
law, there shall no flesh be justified in God's sight. For
by the law, sin is identified and defined. By the law is the
knowledge of sin. Well, I think it's a sin. Claus
Peterson, it doesn't matter what you think is a sin. It just doesn't
matter. Well, I think that's a sin. That
doesn't mean anything. Doesn't mean anything to me and
shouldn't mean anything to anybody else. The law of God defines
what sin is. and only the law of God. But
now the righteousness of God without the law. Righteousness
without law? Yeah. Is manifested, being witnessed
by the law and the prophets. That is this righteousness that
the law pointed to. This righteousness that all the
prophets told about. This righteousness that Daniel
chapter 6 describes. It was witnessed by the law and
the prophets, even the righteousness of God. Now watch this, which
is by faith of. Brother Fred, that doesn't say
faith in, does it? The faith of Jesus Christ. Righteousness is not established
by you believing on Christ. Righteousness is experienced
by you believing on Christ. It was established by the faith
of Jesus Christ, our mediator, our substitute. It is that righteousness
by the faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that
believe. For there's no difference. For
all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. But brother
Don, what is this righteousness? Being justified freely. Freely. Joe, the word means without
a cause. I will love them freely without
a cause, freely justified without a cause, without a cause in yourself. But a great cause in God, the
cause being his free love. I will justify them freely or
were justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that's in Christ Jesus. No other way. whom God has set
forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood to declare
his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through
the forbearance of God. To declare, I say at this time,
his righteousness that God might be through the propitiatory,
sin-atoning sacrifice of his darling son. just and the justifier
of him that believeth in Jesus. So that if you believe on the
Son of God, believing Him is the fruit of Him having redeemed
you. And believing Him, God Almighty,
is just to justify you. That is, it is right before His
own law for God to set you free. How come? because Christ came
down here and shut the lion's mouth. He came down here and
shut the lion's mouth. Our Lord Jesus, the God-man,
came into the world made of a woman, made under the law, and redeemed
them that were under the law. Jesus paid it all. All the debt
we owe. Sin had left the crimson stain. He washed it white as snow. Look
at verse 22. God, our Savior, delivered us
from going down into the pit, going down to the lion's den,
because he went down to the lion's den for us. And Daniel says,
as a result of this, my God has sent his angel. My God sent Christ
Jesus, the angel of the covenant, the angel of his presence into
this world. He shut the lion's mouths. Shut up. Shut up. Who is he that condemneth? Who
shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It's God that
justifies. It's Christ that died. They have
not hurt me. You all right? Those lions haven't
hurt me. Those lions I just laid down beside one and
used his mane, laid on that thing and made a good pillow last night.
They haven't hurt me. The law is not my enemy. Oh no,
in Christ, the law is my friend. The law declares me right before
God. Before him, innocency was found
in me. Daniel said, I have done no hurt.
Look at verse 23. Then was the king exceeding glad
for him. Is it possible to rightly say
that God, the triune God, is exceeding glad for the deliverance
of his elect? Oh, there's joy in the presence
of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. He's glad,
David, to have you sitting at his footstool, glad to have you
reconciled and holy, glad to have you completely exonerated
and forgiven and innocent before him, righteous before him. Christ didn't come to destroy
the law, but to fulfill it, not to find a way around justice,
but to meet it head on. and bearing our sins in his own
body on the tree, he satisfied the law and justice of God on
our behalf. As the prophet said he would,
he magnified the law and made it honorable. All right, here's
one last thing. That God who saves by mercy and
by truth, by grace and by justice, that God who saves sinners honorably
He is the true and the living God. Look at Daniel 6, verse
25, end of chapter. Then Darius wrote unto all the
people and nations and languages that dwelt in all the earth,
peace be multiplied unto you. I make a decree that in every
dominion of my kingdom, Men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel.
For he, this God who saves sinners this way, he's the living God. He, this God who declares himself
a just God and a savior, this God whose law cannot be broken,
whose law cannot be changed, whose law insists on the death
of every sinner, this God who satisfies the law for his own. He is steadfast forever, and
His kingdom, that which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion
shall be even unto the end. And that's the gospel from the
lion's den. The gospel of free substitution,
of complete satisfaction, of perfect righteousness. Brother Don, you said every sinner
has got to die. How can it be possible that every
sinner die and somebody not die? We who believe on the Son of
God died in Christ Jesus. We died with Christ Jesus so
that justice demands Just as Darius by commandment said, bring
Daniel out of the lion's den. Justice demands that we be set
free. And justice demands that all
who have opposed our souls, all the demons of hell, and Satan,
all that held us in captivity, be destroyed forever, just as
Darius demanded Daniel's enemies be cast into the den of lions. Amen. Amen. Brother Lindsey Lutzenhielm,
please.
