Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

That song has a line in it that's
very unusual. You won't hear it often sung
or preached. And it was probably offensive
to some. Christ is the one that taught
me how to beg at His feet. Has He taught you that? He has mercy on beggars. Somebody told me one time that
you don't have to beg God to save you. He's willing and ready
and anxious to save sinners. I agree with the last part of
that. God is ready and anxious and willing to save beggars. A sinner is a beggar, you see.
That's what people don't understand. Beggars for mercy. God be merciful,
the publican cried from his heart. He was a beggar, wasn't he? A
mercy beggar. God be merciful. He came having
a need, like a beggar, to the only one that could meet it,
the Lord Jesus Christ, and begged for mercy. I recommend that.
The only place for you, sinner, is at his feet, at his feet,
and me too. I'll take my place with you there,
begging for his mercy. He gives mercy to beggars. Lord,
if you will, you can make me clean. I will. I will. Well, let's look at John
14, verse 1. John chapter 14. As I mentioned, I don't know how you really identify
any part of God's Word as being a favorite, but boy, if you're
going to, you might consider this. The Lord Jesus Christ,
the Son of God, saying to a little group of pitiful, uneducated,
fickle, foolish sheep, Let not your heart be troubled.
You believe in God, believe also in me." These men are about to
experience tragedy like none of us have ever experienced in
our lives. Chris, you don't know what I've
been through. That may be true. I know what they went through.
I have a little idea what they went through. Just a little bit
of an idea. They're about to watch their
lord and master be literally destroyed before their very eyes. They're going to experience their
own weakness and failure. They're going to be wrung out.
They're going to see how weak and foolish they truly are. They're
going to Mark 14, 27, the Lord Jesus said to them beforehand,
you shall be offended because of me this night. For it is written,
the father said, I'll smite the shepherd and the sheep will be
scattered. The sheep will be scattered.
Oh, not me, Peter said. The Lord said, all of you will
be. All of you. They were for three years or
so, this close exclusive in a sense, band of friends, Brothers, they
saw and heard things that knit them together. Can you imagine
the things that they went through with the Master? The things that
they experienced. The things that they saw. Supernatural things.
And they heard the very words of glory. The very words of Christ. The words of life Peter called. Thou hast the words of eternal
life. They walked with Him daily and
heard together. The fact that we worship together
here once a week. It draws us together, doesn't
it? We have that bond in Christ. They had it and they experienced
it every day they were exercised in that. For how long? Three years? Close. Exclusive. And one of them would
soon be revealed to be a devil. Another one of them would openly
betray and deny the Lord Jesus Christ and their master, the one whom they had left all
and followed. And they had, hadn't they? He
came to them each individually and said, follow me. And they
dropped what they were doing. They dropped what they had been
doing all of their lives and followed this one. He would be arrested. violently
taken, he would be falsely accused, he'd be tortured, and he'd be
murdered. And they would witness this. But before he speaks this word
of peace, let not your heart be troubled. What is it that
will sustain us in a storm like this? What will he say next? How can we not be troubled seeing
that these things are coming? Believe. You see what he said
here? Let not your heart be troubled.
Believe. You believe in God, believe also in me. The one question
of all questions The Lord Jesus Christ asked that blind man in
John 9. This is the question of all questions. Do you believe
on the Son of God? Do you believe? When Jairus,
you remember Jairus, he came to the Master in Mark 5 and cried
out for mercy. He was a beggar, wasn't he? He
said, Lord, my daughter, she lieth at the door of death. I
pray Thee, come and lay Your hands on her that she may be
healed. She'll live. If you come and lay your hands
on her, she'll live. And the Lord was met during this
transaction by that woman with the issue of blood. And then
as He spoke to her while He yet spake, there came one from the
ruler of the synagogue's house. One of his servants came from
Jairus' house and said, Your daughter is dead. Why troublest
thou the master any further? Don't bother me, it's too late.
And as soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith
unto the ruler of the synagogue, don't be afraid, only believe. And he says here to his disciples,
don't let your heart be troubled. Don't be anxious. Don't be fearful. Don't be sad. And this, as I mentioned already
this morning, this is not believe in me as religion speaks of believing
in God. The devil believes in God. And
as I illustrated this morning, let me say it again in case you
weren't here. If you were put in a position
to trust me very dearly for something very important, something vital,
And you put that in my hands. You said, Chris, I need you to
do this for me. If you don't, all is lost. You've
got to take care. You've got to help me. And I
said to you, believe in me. Believe in me. Would you take that to mean that
I wanted you to believe that I exist? Of course not. You know what I mean by that,
don't you? The Lord Jesus Christ said, don't be afraid. Believe
in me. This is not believing that there
was a Jesus 2,000 years ago that hung on a cross. Satan believes
that. Satan knows that. He was there.
That's not it. That's not salvation. That's
not faith. Believing in facts. Believing
things to be true. Faith is believing in a person. Faith is laying hold of a person.
It's trusting a person. It's staking everything you are
and have on a person. Paul said, I know who I have
believed, and I'm persuaded that He's able to keep that which
I've committed unto Him. Against that day, I've committed
something to Him. What, Paul? Everything. Myself, my soul. I trust Him with the souls of
my loved ones. Because I tell them, trust Him,
believe on Him. Abraham staggered not at the
promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving
glory to God. What do you mean, Paul? He was
fully persuaded that what God had promised, he was able also
to perform. If God says, I'll do it, it's
done. That's faith. Do you see what Christ is saying
here to his friends? Believe in me. Believe in me. You don't have to fear, just
trust in me, believe in me. He said this to them, not because
he needed validation, but because they needed comfort. Don't let your heart be troubled. It will if you let it, won't
it? It will. And the only way you can keep
from being troubled is not to muster up some strength within
yourself. No, our strength is Christ. We
look to Him. We trust in Him. We rest in Him.
We remember that we've committed everything to Him. And we rest. It's in His hands, not mine.
That's rest. That's comfort. That's where
trouble is left and forgotten. In the hands of the Master. Verse
two, in my father's house, many mansions. If it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself. I will,
I will. Don't let your heart be troubled.
Believe in me. I will. Is your gospel all about
what you've done or about what he has done? I will come again. I will receive you unto myself,
that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go, you
know, and the way you know. What is it that troubles us?
as sinful creatures of infirmity and uncertainty and worry. Are you a worrier? I've told
you before, and I may not, I don't know how I compare to others,
and you maybe just like me, I don't have any idea, but if I don't
have something to worry about, I'll usually make something up
to worry about. Are you that way? I'll come up with something.
It may be something that never would even come to pass, but
it might, you know, it might. Now I want to be ready if it
does. I want to have lost sleep over it just in case it does. What is it that we worry about?
Well, I don't know about you, but I regret a whole lot of things
in my past, but I don't worry about the past. Do you? No. It's gone. It's over. And right now, I'm not satisfied. The flesh is not. It never is,
is it? Are you? The flesh is never. There are
always things that aren't the way I want them to be. How about
you? That's right now. But more than anything else,
what I worry about is the future. Don't you? Well, let's learn
this lesson this morning from this verse of scripture. Our
Lord forbids it. He forbids it. He doesn't make
suggestions, does he? He said, don't let your heart
be troubled. Here's what I'm going to do.
Is that what he said? It regarded the future, didn't
it? I'm going to go. I'm going right
now, and I'm going, and I'm going for a purpose. I'm going to prepare
a place for you. That's why He's going. Didn't
He say, I came into this world to die for this cause? Came I
into the world? This is a faithful saying and
worthy of all acceptation that Christ Jesus came into this world
to save sinners. You think He can do what He came
to do? Or is He trying His best, you know, if somebody will let
Him do it? That's not my Christ. My Christ said, I'm going to
prepare a place for you. And when He did it, He said,
it's finished. I did what I came to do. Is your Lord that way? Or is He waiting on somebody
else to do something? We're all going to be waiting
a long time for you to do something good, my friends, or me either.
We're going to be waiting a long time. My hope is what He did. And He calmed their fears based
upon what He would do. And what calms my fears is what
He did. How about you? How about you? I worry about the future. Our
Lord forbids it. Faith makes it impossible to
worry about the future. It's not possible. To the extent
that you believe, you will not fret. You will not fear. There's
one cause for worry and fear. Unbelief. That's it. And perhaps you would flippantly reply to me
this morning, I believe what you're saying. I believe. I believe
in Christ. The Lord said to these disciples, you believe. You believe. But He didn't stop there, did
He? Look at what He said here, the essence of it. He said, you
believe. Believe. Is that what He said? You believe. Now believe. John wrote in 1 John 5, verse
13, These things have I written unto you that believe on the
name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal
life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.
John said, I'm writing to you that believe that you might believe. Is that what our Lord said to
these folk? Can we get that this morning? Oh, I believe. Hold
on a second. Hold it right there. Believe,
my friends. When the storm comes, when tragedy
comes, don't be troubled. Believe. When prosperity comes,
when distractions and things that would take us somewhere
else, you know what I mean? Things that would divert our
attention from our true condition as beggars before God. Don't be distracted. Believe. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith is not a one-time experience. Faith is a lifelong principle. I'm writing to you that believe.
I'm preaching this morning to you that believe that you might
believe. Does that make sense to you?
If you believe, it does. Faith is a way. Listen to Acts
chapter 9. You can turn to these if you'd
like to, but for the sake of time, I'm going to read them
to you. You can jot down the references and read them later,
or you can turn there now. Acts chapter 9 and verse 1. This
is what faith is. And Saul, Saul of Tarsus, who became the apostle Paul by
God's grace through faith in Christ It says, Saul, yet breathing
out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the
Lord, went unto the high priest and desired him letters to Damascus,
to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether
they were men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Believers are described
two ways in that passage. Disciples of the Lord, and those
of this way." Faith in Christ is a way. The word way means
a traveled road, a course of conduct, a way of thinking, feeling,
and deciding. Faith affects how you think.
Faith affects how you decide things. Faith affects how you
feel. Faith itself is not a feeling.
It's a gift of grace, but it affects how you feel. Let not
your heart be troubled. Believe. How are you not going
to be troubled? Believe in me. Believe in me. Have faith in me. When the president
comes on the television, and he says, well, the economy's
in the tank, it's troublesome. You've used that word a lot,
haven't you? We're in a troublesome economy.
The national debt is astronomical and nobody has a job and nobody
has a clue. Oh, and by the way, all of our
enemies, which is just about everybody, they all want to kill
us. But we have taken steps to ensure that all will be resolved.
How do you feel about that? It depends on whether you believe
in Him or not, doesn't it? These disciples, and this is
a weak illustration, but it illustrates. These disciples had pinned everything
on one person. Have you? Have you now be honest
about that? They had pinned everything. All
of their eggs were in one basket. How about you? Everything on
Christ. What, if anything, have you committed
unto Him? Are you troubled? Are you troubled? Of course we have troubles. We
have troubles, don't we? Do you have troubles? Do things
trouble you? Of course we do. Let's talk about that for a little
bit. And let's think of it this way. These men were believers
in the Lord. So what would trouble a believer?
Why would the Lord need to say this? He doesn't say things for
no reason. He doesn't say them superfluously. He says, let not your heart be
troubled, because He knows what we're made of. Doesn't he? What
would trouble a believer then? Well, turn to Acts 15. I want
you to turn to this one if you would please. Acts chapter 15. What would trouble a believer? Acts 15, 24. For as much as we, the preachers
of the Gospel, the disciples, have heard. For as much as we
have heard that certain which went out from us have troubled
you with words. You've been troubled. How? Subverting
your soul. Saying. They troubled them with
words. How did they do that? Here's
what they said. You've got to be circumcised and keep the law. To whom we gave no such commandment.
They went out from us, but we didn't send them. The reason
they went out from us is because they're preaching a different
gospel than we preach. And here's the gospel that they
preach. You've got to do something to please God. Is it that simple? What would trouble the believer?
The law. When you get to looking at yourself
and thinking about how you measure up before God, I guarantee you,
if you know God, you're going to be troubled. Mark it now. Expect it. When I turn my eyes within, John
Newton said, all is dark and vain and wild, filled with unbelief
and sin. Can I even deem myself His child?
John Newton wrote that. Does that pretty much describe
you too? Oh, don't turn your eyes within
then. Look to the Savior. He didn't say, believe in yourself.
He said, don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in me. Believe
in me. What will calm this trouble? What will keep your heart calm
when you're troubled by ideas of keeping the law and how you
measure up before God? Isn't that the weight, the heavy
burden that Christ lifted from us? Why, Paul said to the Galatians,
would you try to carry that burden again? But we do, don't we? We
start thinking, oh, I know it's salvation by grace, but how could
I even believe that and do what I do? He came to save sinners,
didn't he? Paul said, of whom I'm chief.
Paul said, I got you beat, but by the grace of God, I am what
I am. My God's grace, I'm saved. Not because I measure up to the
law. That's going to trouble you now if you get to thinking
about yourself in the sight of God. What will calm such a trouble? The words of the Master. I go
to do something for you. I go to prepare a place for you
who can't go and do anything to recommend yourself to God.
But I'm going to go do something for you. Will that calm your
trouble? When you start thinking about
the law and how you measure up to God's law, I go, I prepare,
I'll come, I'll receive. That where I am, there you'll
be. I will do it, Christ said. There's peace. It's not about
what I do. It's about what he has done for
me. That's my hope. And if I get to looking anywhere
else, Peter said, Lord bid me come to you on the water. And
he got to going and was walking on water. And then you know why
he started to sink? Because he realized, I can't
walk on water. I can't keep God's law. But that's not salvation. Salvation is Christ said, come,
come. Christ is the object of our faith.
Not my ability to walk on water. Not my ability to please God.
I'll sink when I start. To think in such terms, Christ
in His finished redemptive work is our rest. Romans 10, 4, Christ
is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that does what? Believe
in Me. To everyone that believeth. Christ
is the end of any idea of us keeping God's law to please God. He's the goal of the law, not
for you to measure up. God didn't give His law so you'd
know how to act. God gave His law to show you
that you can't act like you ought to act. Is that what He said?
The law comes that every mouth may be stopped and all the world
become guilty before God. That's what the book says. Christ is the end. Let me make
this statement and we'll move on. In order for you not to be
troubled by the law like these were, in the church that were
written to here in Acts chapter 15. In order for you not to be
troubled by the law, you're going to have to believe that Christ's
righteousness is enough without yours. Will you believe that? Romans 3.20, Therefore by the
deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his
sight. For by the law is the knowledge of sin. He didn't say
by the law is the knowledge of what to do. By the law is the
knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of
God without the law is manifested. Being witnessed by the law and
the prophets, it's the same message that the prophets preached. Even
the righteousness of God which is by the faithfulness of Jesus
Christ. Not your faithfulness to the
law, His faithfulness to the law. That's how a sinner can
be righteous before God. By having a representative who's
perfect. Unto all and upon all them that
believe. Do you believe in Him? For there
is no difference. All have sinned and come short
of God's glory. Being justified freely by His grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God hath set forth
to be a propitiation, a sin offering, through faith in His blood, through
believing Me, to declare His righteousness for the remission
of sins that are passed." Not mine. The Gospel concerns His
righteousness. So what are you doing thinking
about how you measure up to the law? If you just want to see
how far of a pit He brought you out of, then think about it.
That's fine. But don't start thinking about it in terms of
Well, I've got to please God. You never have. You're not pleasing
Him right now and you never will, except in the Lord Jesus Christ. Through the remission of sins
that are passed through the forbearance of God, to declare, I say at
this time, His righteousness. When a man preaches the Gospel,
he declares His righteousness, that God might be just and the
justifier of Him which, what? Believe in me, him which believeth
in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It's
excluded. You're not going to get any glory
out of it, because all the glory goes to him who is your righteousness. By what law of works may, but
by the law of faith. Therefore, we conclude that a
man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. In order not to be troubled by
the law, you must believe not only that his righteousness is
sufficient, that's good doctrine and you will believe that, you
must believe that, but you have to believe in him as your righteousness. He is the righteousness of God,
but is he your righteousness? Let not your heart be troubled. Secondly, what would trouble
a believer? Sin. Sin. Not only how we measure
up as sinners, but sin itself troubles me. Doesn't it, you?
Listen to Psalm 38. Don't turn to this one unless
you can, but let me read it to you for the sake of time. I don't
want to wear you this morning, but I don't want us to miss this
truth. Psalm 38. Oh Lord, rebuke me
not in Thy wrath. Neither chasten me in Thy hot
displeasure. What did David say? You haven't
dealt with us according to our iniquities, Lord. Aren't you
glad? Don't do that, God. Don't chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me
sore. There is no soundness in my flesh
because of thine anger. Why is God angry? Neither is
there any rest in my bones because of my sin. Every problem you have is because
of your sin. Well, that's a broad statement,
Chris. It's a true statement. Every problem, you don't even
know what my problems are, Chris. Every problem you have is because
of your sin. And the only one that really
matters, all the rest of it's just little stuff. Your problem
is You're wretched in the sight of a holy God by nature. That's
your problem. Because of my sin, for mine iniquities
are gone over my head. How about you? I can't swim to
the top. Can you? I don't even know most
of them. As in heavy burden, they are
too heavy What did he say, all you that labor and are heavy
laden? Don't try to carry that burden.
It's too heavy for you. Come to me and I'll give you
rest. I'll take the burden. Take my
yoke upon you. If we're yoked to him, you know
what we do in the matter? Nothing. Rest. He said, you take
my yoke upon you. If you're a yoke to the Lord
Jesus Christ, you know what your part is? People talk about, well,
me and Jesus, there's nothing me and Jesus can't handle. He
said, when you take my yoke upon you, you'll find rest because
he does everything. Everything. Rest means don't
do anything. He that hath entered into his
rest hath ceased from his own labors. Ceased, outright quit. I can't please God and I'm not
going to try, but my Savior did. As a heavy burden, they're too
heavy for me, my wounds stink and are corrupt. How did God
describe us? From the top of your head to the soles of your
feet, there's no soundness in you but wounds and bruises and
putrefying sores. And when you see yourself that
way, you'll cry out as David does here, my wounds are stinking. and corrupt because of my foolishness. I am troubled. Is that what we're
talking about? Why are you troubled, David?
Because of my sin. Because of my foolishness. I'm
troubled. I'm bowed down greatly. I go
mourning all the day long. When I think about my sin, it's
like somebody I love died. It breaks my heart. For my loins are filled with
a loathsome disease, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
My sin is troubling to me. How about you? If you have any
idea what sin is, it'll trouble you. I guarantee you that. What's the remedy? Come now, right now, and let
us reason together, saith the Lord. Though your sins be as
scarlet, and they are, they shall be as white as snow. And though
they be red like crimson, and they are, they'll be like wool. Come now. Hebrews 9.26, what
will comfort you, Chris, when you're thinking about your sins?
Now, once in the end of the world, hath Christ appeared to put away
sin by the sacrifice of himself. Somebody's sins were put away
when Christ died on the cross. You know who it was? It was mine. He put my sins away. How about you? That's my hope
before God. I don't need another one. Revelation
1.5, John said, unto him that loved us and washed us from our
sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto
God and his Father, to him be glory. Are you saying that this
morning? If he's washed your sins in his
precious blood, you are to him be glory and dominion forever
and ever. Let's glorify him right now and
just keep on glorifying. He washed my sins away in His
precious blood. Let not your heart be troubled.
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus. Why are you troubled, Chris?
Because of my sin. Why are you not troubled, Chris?
Because of the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. whom God hath set forth to be
a propitiation through faith in His blood. Romans 8.22, He
that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all.
How shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who
shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that
justified me. Who is He that condemneth? It
is Christ that died. In order for you not to be troubled
about your sin, You must believe that Christ
has shed his precious blood for you. And that when he did, he
satisfied God as your substitute. You're going to have to believe
now that when he shed his blood for you, he satisfied God for
you. Not that he took a shot at it
and now it's up to you. You're not going to find any
comfort there. You can try. You're not going to find it there.
You're going to find it in the effectual, sin-atoning blood
of the Savior. He is the Redeemer. Is He your Redeemer? Let not your heart be troubled. What else troubles you, Chris?
Well, the cares of this world are a
trouble to me, aren't they? To certainly a lesser degree
than my sin. But listen to what the Lord said
to Martha in Luke 10.41. It says, Jesus answered and said
unto Martha. And what He answered was Martha
saying, Lord, look at me doing all the work. You know, Mary's
not doing anything. Tell her to help me here. Where
was Mary? She was sitting at the Master's
feet, worshiping Him, listening to His teaching and worshiping
Christ. And Martha rebuked her to the
Lord and said, Lord, you make her get up and help me. Look at all I'm doing." And the
Lord said, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things. Oh, I believe what you preach.
There are a lot of things that I need to do. I've got responsibility. I've got things to do. The Lord
Jesus Christ said in Mark 4.19, the cares of this world choke
the Word, and it becometh unfruitful." What's the remedy? The Lord Jesus Christ said to
Martha, you're careful and troubled about a whole bunch of things.
One thing is necessary. There's the remedy to trouble.
In order for you not to be troubled about many things, you must believe
that Christ is the one thing needful. Is He that for you? He is the
one thing needful. Is He your one thing needful?
Then let not your heart, your heart, we're not talking about
your neighbor, let not your heart be troubled. All right, one more
thing, and I'm through. It's seven minutes till the hour
is up, so give me that. One more thing. You know what
troubles me? And this is from the Word of God. I wouldn't just
sit back and think about, well, what's troubling to me and come
up with it. This is from God's Word. Now,
this is what troubles believers. The fight. The fight. There's just trouble
in this world for the believer. Isn't that right? Have you found
it to be so? Besides the cares of this world, we talked about
the cares, the distractions, the concerns, the responsibilities
of this world. But just the world itself is
a trouble to me. How about you? How about you
as a believer now? We see what's happening in religion
in the name of God. Christ is blasphemed. Does that
trouble you? David said, how long, O Lord,
will you let them do that? How long will you let them speak
perversely in your name? It troubled him, and it troubles
me. We see what's happening in our country, and it's troubling.
There's no question about that. To some extent, it can be. There's a remedy for it. You know, the Apostle Paul, when
he was Saul of Tarsus, he didn't have any problems. Did you know
that? He was respected and looked up to and everybody admired him
and he was successful and he was powerful, he had authority,
he had everything. Everything you strive for in
this world, after the flesh. But when he met the Lord Jesus
Christ, you know what he had then? Shipwreck, stripes, he
was beaten with a cat and nine tails, he said how many times?
Forty stripes save one, thirty-nine stripes, that was the custom
then. How many times was he beaten? I can't remember. He was stoned and left for dead.
And He mentions all those things. He said on top of all this, the
care of the churches. Trouble. Care. Christ said in
this world, He was talking to His disciples. He said, in this
world, you shall have tribulation. He didn't say just in case, you
know, be ready. You're going to have it. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4,
8, we are troubled. We're troubled on every side,
but we're not distressed. You see, he knew the answer to
not being troubled. We're perplexed. Sometimes we
don't know what to do. But we're not in despair. We're persecuted, but we're not
forsaken. We're cast down, but we're not
destroyed. And though we be troubled, and
we are, aren't we? But just the world itself is
a trouble to the believer. Christ said, in this world, you're
going to have it. Man who is born of the woman
is full of a few days and full of what? Full of trouble. And Paul said we're troubled
on every side, sometimes on a side where we least expect it. We're
troubled on a side where we thought no trouble can come from that
direction. Here it comes. And yet Paul said, we're not
distressed. Why? How? Because our master, our
savior, our redeemer said, let not your heart be troubled. He said, these things have I
spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace in the world. You shall have tribulation, but
be of good cheer. Why, I have overcome this world. In order for you not to be troubled
in this world of trouble, you must believe that the Lord Jesus
Christ is the sovereign King of glory, who sitteth upon the
circle of the earth, and all the inhabitants thereof are his
He said, I have overcome this world. He's the Sovereign King. And if you believe that, and
that as the Sovereign King, as the God, the Sovereign God, He
said, you've seen me, you've seen God. You believe that? You
believe in Him? And that as God, according to
His Word, He hath ordained all things for your good. And He's
the King. He has the right and he has the
ability and he has the will to see to it that everything happens
for your good. If you're not going to be troubled
in this world full of trouble, you don't have to believe that.
He is the king. Is he your king? Then you know what I'm going
to say to you, don't you? Let not your heart be troubled. Is he your king? Let's bow in
prayer.
