This is not part of the message,
but when Mitch was reading that passage of scripture from Acts
chapter 28, I was thinking I would like to be in there then, wouldn't
you? To hear Paul preach like that. But in verse 24. And some believed the things
that were spoken. And some believed not. Now that takes place every time
the gospel is preached. Some believe the things that
were spoken. Some believe not. Now what I
think is very interesting in the original, when it says some
believed, it's in the passive. When it says some believe not,
it's in the active. You choose to not believe. If you believe, it's because
you were acted on, and you're caused to believe, and you find
yourself believing. That's the way faith works. I
don't know how long I tried to believe. It just didn't work.
I tried to believe. You don't try to believe. You
believe. And if you don't believe, it's
because that is what you actively have decided to do. Now turn
back to our text in 1 John 3. I'd like to read this verse again. 1 John 3, verse 13. Marvel not,
my brethren, if the world hate. Now, I've entitled this message,
The Hatred of the World. Marvel not my brethren if the
world hate you. Now, the first thing that we're
going to have to consider is who are the brethren? He speaks
of the brethren. Who are the brethren? Now, we're all brothers and sisters
in Adam, aren't we? That's why there's really no
difference between peoples, between races, because we all come out
of the same line, and we're all brothers. And I can call you
brother. I remember one time somebody
asked Scott Richardson, said, why do you call that person brother?
He said, well, if I don't get him in Christ, I'll get him in
Adam. And that's true. You will get men in Adam. But the brethren he's speaking
of here are not all men. When he says marvel not rather
if the world hates you. Well, we see who they are in
the context. Look in verse 1 of chapter 3. Behold what manner of love the
Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called, and
who's doing the calling here? God is, that we should be called
the sons of God. Now these brethren have the same
father. They are sons of God. I'm a son of God by adoption. God chose me to be his son. Isn't that a beautiful thing
to think about? I'm a son of God by birth. I
was birthed into the kingdom of heaven. When I was born again,
a new person was born. I was birthed into the kingdom
of heaven, a son of God. And I'm a son of God by eternal
union with the Lord Jesus Christ. Both he that sanctifies and they
who are sanctified are all of one. for the which cause he's
not ashamed to call them brethren. He's not ashamed to own any of
his elect as his brethren. So this is who John is speaking
to when he says marvel not brethren. Look in verse 2. Beloved now
are we the sons of God and it does not yet appear what we shall
be but we know that when he shall appear We shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he is. Now this is the hope of every
believer. We shall see him as he is. And that's my desire to
see the Lord Jesus Christ as he is, to behold his face. And
that sight is going to make me just like him. That's the hope
every believer has. This is the brethren in verse
three. And every man that hath this hope in him, in the Lord
Jesus Christ, and in him, in his heart, this work of grace.
Every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even
as he is pure. Now, whosoever commit a sin transgresses
also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law. And
you know that he was manifested to take away our sins. And in
him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth
not. Whosoever sinneth hath not seen
him, neither known him. Now that passage of scripture
is hard to understand if you don't understand the rest of
the Bible. But here's the point. In him is no sin. He put it away. He made it towards not to be.
In Him is no sin. If I'm in Him, I have no sin
because He took away my sin. Abiding in Him is not just that
righteousness is charged in my account. I don't sin. I don't
sin. I'm sinless. What is it to abide
in Him? It's that conscious desire to
not be found anywhere else so that all God sees when He sees
me as He sees His Son Jesus Christ the Lord. And I don't want to
be seen in any other light. That's what it is to abide in
Him. So these brethren are people who abide in Him. Verse 7, little
children. Let no man deceive you. He that
doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he, the Lord Jesus Christ,
is righteous. Now this is talking about justification.
Justification, it may be talking about the new birth. You can
put that in there too. That man doesn't sin. But I believe what
he's talking about is justification because it says, he that doeth
not, he that doeth righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous,
even as the Lord Jesus Christ is righteous. Now that's perfect
righteousness. That's absolute righteousness. And this is a
description of all these brethren. They're people who do righteousness.
Verse eight, he that commit the sin is of the devil, for the
devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of
God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Somebody that commits sin, he's not one of the brethren. Now,
I commit sin, does that mean I'm not the brethren? In Christ,
you have no sin. In Christ, you do not commit
sin. Now, you can't grasp this experientially, I realize that,
but you can believe it by faith. It's what the scripture teaches.
Verse nine. Whosoever is born of God doth
not commit sin. That's talking about the new
nature. Can something that God has birthed commit sin? No. He that is born of God doth not
commit sin for his seed, the seed of God remains in him and
he cannot sin. He lacks the ability to sin because
he's born of God. Now this is who these brethren
are. They're people who have the seed of God in them. They've
been born of God. Verse 10, in this the children
of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever
doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth
not his brother. For this is the message that
you heard from the beginning, from the very beginning, that
you should love one another, that we should love one another.
What's that look like? Here's what it looks like, not
as Cain. Not as Cain. Who was of that wicked one, and
slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him, because
his own works were evil, and his brothers righteous? He was
the first martyr. And what was the issue? The blood. That's what that argument was
about. That's what that sacrifice, that, that, over the sacrifices,
the blood. Now, marvel not, my brethren. So we see who these brothers
are. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. Now what does John mean by the
world. Marvel not my brethren if the
world hates you because the world is used so many times in the
New Testament. And it's used in some nine or
10 different senses. For instance when it says all
the world should be taxed that doesn't mean every individual
in the world. But it means all the world was taxed, all the
known world. Well, you know, the people in
Africa weren't taxed, and the people in Asia were not taxed,
and the people in North America were not taxed, and the people
in South America were not taxed, but just the then known world.
It's used in many different ways. What does John mean by the world?
The world for which Christ refused to pray. I pray for them, John 17, 9,
I pray not for the world, but for them which you have given
me. Now that's the world he's talking
about, the world that Christ refused to pray for. I think of that passage of scripture
in John, 1 John chapter 2, if any man loved the world, the
love of the Father It's not in Him. It's the world we're commanded
to not love. If any man loved the world, the
love of the Father is not in him. For all that's of the world,
the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life,
is not of the Father, but of the world. And the world passes
away, and the lust thereof. But he that doeth the will of
God abideth forever. By the world is meant that world
where James said, Whosoever shall be the friend of the world, is
the enemy of God. And those are strong statements,
aren't they? If I love the world, the love of the Father is not
in me. If I'm a friend of the world, I'm God's enemy. This is the world that Jesus
Christ the Lord refused to pray for. It is that which Satan is
over. Satan is called in the scripture,
the God of this world. Don't let that slip by. God of
this world. He's called the Prince of this
world. Turn with me for a moment to
Luke chapter 4. Luke chapter 4, now this is during
the temptation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 5, and the devil taking
him up into a high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms
of the world in a moment of time. Now how was that done? I don't
know, but it was done. He showed him all, every single
one of the kingdoms of the world in just a moment of time. And
the devil, verse six, and the devil said unto him, all this
power will I give thee and the glory of them for that is delivered
unto me and to whomsoever I will I give it. Now who delivered
it to him? God did. God did. The reason he had that power
is because God delivered that power to him. And I think it's very interesting
that he speaks of all the kingdoms of the world. You know what's
going on in North Korea right now? Satan's over that. You know what's
going on in the United States right now? Satan's over that. You know what's going on in Russia
right now? Satan's over that. He's the God of this world. There's
no such thing as a Christian nation, never has been, never
will be. He's the God of this world. Now, I'm so thankful I
can also say he's God's devil on God's chain, performing God's
will and everything that he does, though he maliciously intends
to be against God, he's only serving God's purposes. He's
God's puppet on God's chain. Now, he's very powerful. He's
a whole lot more powerful than me or you. But what is that compared with
omnipotence? Yes, he's very powerful, but
what is that compared with all power? It's nothing. Yes, I don't want to have anything
to do with him. I love what Michael the archangel said, the Lord
rebuke you. He didn't want anything to do with him, and I don't either.
I don't want to have anything to do with him. I want the Lord
to protect me from him, but I know he's God's devil. And he said
to the Lord, all the kingdoms of the world, they're mine to
whomsoever will. I will, I give it. You can have
it. You know, he didn't realize,
I guess, that while they were delivered to him. They really
weren't his, they were the Lord's. He controls everything and everybody. Do you remember how the Lord
said my kingdom is not of this world? If it were, my servants
would fight that I should not be delivered. or that I should
be delivered from the Jews, but now my kingdom is not from hence. This is the world. Remember,
we're talking about marvel not, brethren, if the world hates
you. This is the world of which Paul said the world by wisdom
knew not God. This is the world of which is
said all that's of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust
of the eyes, the pride of life, Pleasure, popularity, and power. Those three things. The lust
of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life. It's
not of the Father, but it is of the world. This is that world
of which it was said He was in the world, and the world was
made by Him, and the world knew Him not. And this is the condemnation
that light is coming to the world and men loved darkness rather
than light because their deeds were evil. Now here's the world
he's talking about. Would you turn with me to Colossians
chapter 2. I want you to see this. Colossians chapter 2 verse 8. Beware, be on your guard, lest
any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit. After the tradition
of men, after the rudiments, the ABCs, the building blocks,
that which everything comes out of, that's what that word rudiment
means, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Now here's what philosophy, vain
deceit, and the tradition of men and the rudiments of the
world try to spoil you with regard to, for in him, In the Lord Jesus
Christ, I love this verse. In the Lord Jesus Christ dwells
all the fullness of the Godhead. Infinite. Everything. All that
God is dwells in the body of the Lord Jesus Christ. And look what it says next. You
are complete. in Him. You lack nothing. You're full. You can't get any more saved.
You can't get any more accepted. You can't get any more loved.
You can't get any more sanctified. You can't get any more justified.
You're complete. You're complete. Believe that.
Wouldn't it be a blessing if me and you just believe that
right now? You are complete. lacking nothing in him." Now
what the rudiments of the world will do, they'll try to chip
away at that. They'll try to say that is not so. Now John
says, Do not be surprised by the world's hatred of you." We
see who the brethren are. We see what he means by the world. Now he says to these brethren,
don't marvel, don't be amazed, don't be surprised by the world's
hatred toward you. There's so much I could say about
this. I've given this so many times,
but I hope you'll listen to it and hear it as you've heard it
for the first time. The world is offended by the
cross. Paul spake in Galatians chapter 5 verse 11 of the offense
of the cross. The world finds it and that word
fence is actually scandal. It's a scandal. It's scandalous. Positively scandalous. The things
you're all saying are scandalous. That's what the world finds concerning
the cross. It's offensive and it is scandalous. Now, men find the gospel offensive. Because it says that their personal
righteousness is non-existent. It's non-existent. There is no
such thing. And that offends men's sense
of personal righteousness. You have none. It just addresses
all men as sinners. There's no difference. I love
that scripture in Romans 3.23. There's no difference. You take the most moral man alive
and the most evil, wicked, devilish man alive, there's no difference.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. There is
no difference. The gospel offends men's pride
because it declares a salvation that's all together. grace. And there's nothing you have
to be proud about unless you're going to be proud of the gospel.
I think it's a good thing to be proud of the gospel. You know,
I'm proud of the gospel, aren't you? It's a gospel worthy of
God. It gives Him all the honor and
all the glory. I'm proud of that. But I'm not
proud of anything in my salvation as far as I didn't have anything
to do with it. He did it all and I know that. I know that.
Who makes you to differ? What do you have that you didn't
receive? Every believer knows that. Now, the gospel offends
men's sense of pride because it says you don't have anything
to be proud about in and of yourself. The gospel offends men's wisdom
by declaring that salvation comes only by revelation. You can't
figure this thing out. I don't care how clear and simple
I am, and I don't care how intelligent you are, that has nothing to
do with being able to understand the gospel. It comes by revelation,
not by education. You and I are completely dependent
upon God to reveal himself to us, and that offends men's wisdom. Fourthly, the gospel offends
men's sense of personal rights. Well, we always got those. And
we're always very offended if we feel like our rights have
been violated, if we've been mistreated. We all feel that
way. I mean, that's one of the first evil emotions that comes
out of a kid. I mean, when they're one or two
years old, when they're crying, it's because they feel like their
rights have been violated, and that's what they're upset about.
But the gospel declares, we don't have any personal rights. We
forfeited them all in the fall and we're in the hands of a sovereign
God who can save us or damn us as he pleases. That's the truth. And that offends men's sense
of personal rights. You don't have any rights. God's
on the throne. He's God, you're not. Whatever
he does is right, shall not the judge of the earth do right.
And the gospel offends men's love of self because it calls
upon men to deny themselves. to take up their cross and to
follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Now the reason the world will
hate you. He says marvel not brethren if
the world hate you. The reason the world will hate
you is because they hate your Lord. It really has nothing to
do with you. Now we can act like jerks and
people hate us. I'm afraid sometimes people think
I'm being persecuted for the gospel's sake. No, you're being
persecuted because you're a jerk. That's why. That's far often
the truth. But if I am confessing Christ,
the world will hate me because of the world's hatred of the
Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord said, if the world hate
you, you know it hated me before it hated you. He said, they hated
Me without a cause. Do you know the Lord has never
given any man the cause to hate Him? That shows how wicked this
hatred is. They hated Me freely. They hated
Me without a cause. The world hates, always has hated,
and always will hate the Lord Jesus Christ. It's not you they
hate. It's the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, if you ask the average person
if they hate Jesus Christ, what are they going to say? Well,
of course not. I love him. I love Jesus. Always
have. Now, tell them who the Lord Jesus
Christ is. He's the one who's absolutely
sovereign. And you are in his hands. And he can save you or
he can damn you as he pleases. Do you love that Christ? Do you
love the Christ who represented God's elect and died for them
and accomplished their salvation. Do you love that Christ? Do you
love the Christ whose grace is irresistible and invincible and
will not take no for an answer? Everybody He gives His grace
to, He saves every single one of them. He never fails. His will cannot be frustrated.
Do you love that Christ? No, I don't love that Christ.
I never expected you did, but God's people will. I hope everybody
in here does. I hope everybody in here does.
But that's the Christ of the Bible. Now, turn with me for
a moment to Exodus chapter 20. What is idolatry? Well, it's the worship of a false
god. You may make an image and make an idol of it, a cross or
some kind of religious relic and think it represents God's
presence, and you feel a certain veneration for it. And it might
be you have a big picture of somebody that's supposed to be
the Lord Jesus, and you find a... You certainly wouldn't spit on
it or anything like that. I mean, you think this represents
something. Those are forms of idolatry. You can have an idol without
any physical form just from a false view of God, a false view of
the Gospel. That's idolatry. It's making up a God that's not
the God of the Bible. And there's a reason behind idolatry. Exodus 20, verse 5. Verse 4, Thou shalt not make
unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that's
in heaven above, or that's in the earth beneath, or that's
in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself
to them, nor serve them. For I, the Lord thy God, am a
jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children
under the third and fourth generation of them that, what? Hate me. Why would someone be guilty of
idolatry? Because they hate God as he is. And they want to change him into
a God they feel more comfortable with. A God they can control. A God they can get to do what
they want him to do. That's what idolatry is. Let me read you some scriptures.
Rise up, O Lord, let thine enemies be scattered, and let them that
hate thee flee before thee. The Lord thy God is a jealous
God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children
of the third and fourth generation on them that hate me. He repayeth them that hate him
to their face. I will render vengeance to them
that hate me. David said, do not I hate them
that hate thee? The natural man hates God. Paul
said, if any man loved not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be
anathema, maranatha, let him be damned upon the return of
the Lord Jesus Christ. Was Paul being unloving when
he said that? No, he was someone who loved
Christ. He loved Christ so much that if any man didn't love him,
he ought to be damned. And every believer feels that
way. When Paul named that great catalog of sins that we're all
guilty of in Romans chapter 1 verses 26 to 31, one of the descriptions
of them were haters of God. Now, listen real carefully. Men
do not hate a God they can control. If you can control it, if you
can get him to respond to you, if you can influence him to do
this or that, you're not going to hate him. Because really,
you're over him. You're over him. He's got to
do what you want him to do. You can manipulate him. You can
get him to act this way. Nobody's going to hate that God.
You don't have to fear that God. Men hate the God that they have
absolutely no control over. Now that is the God that men
hate. But beloved, that's the God we
love. We love him as he is. Men hate his holiness. A believer
loves it. Men hate his sovereignty. We
love it. Men hate his purpose of grace.
We love it. Men hate The way he hates, well
we even love the way he hates. It's just a reflection of his
justice and righteousness and holiness. It's not human hatred,
it's glorious hatred. When you think of God's hatred,
God's justice, God's every attribute of God, we love but the natural
man. And there was a time when we
didn't love him. The natural man hates the living God. And
if somebody objects to this, all I gotta do is point you to
the cross. That's all it takes. The one time men were allowed
to do what they wanted to do. What did they do? They nailed
God to a cross because they didn't want to have anything to do with
Him. If you want to know what you really think of God by nature,
don't look within your heart. Look at the cross because that
tells the truth about you. Believe that. That tells the
truth about you. That's proof that men truly do
hate God. Now, men hate His words. You know, if you're not making
any enemies, it's because you're not saying anything. That's why. Men hate His words. And they'll hate you when you
say them. When he said you should be hated
of all men for my sake, he said that twice. You should be hated
of all men for my sake. What he said before that is he
said when you're brought before kings and magistrates, don't
think about what you're gonna need to say because the words
that you need to say are gonna be given to you at that very
time. And you're gonna be hated by all men. for my namesake because
of the words that you've said. The Lord said in his great high
priestly prayer, I've given them thy word and the world has hated
them. Now, he said the world has hated
them because they are not of the world even as I'm not of
the world. Now, I love thinking about this, not that I understand
it, but it says regarding God's elect The world hates them because
they are not the elect, God's people. They are not of the world,
even as I'm not of the world. Well, how's the Lord not of the
world? He's always been united to the Father. He's always been
one with the Father. He's always been the Father's
delight. You know who else is? I don't
understand this, but there wasn't a time when I began to be united
to Christ. That blows my mind. It blows
your mind, too. There's never been a time, but they are not
of the world, even as I am not of the world. In closing, let's
look at a few scriptures. Turn to John chapter 7. John chapter 7, verse 7. The world cannot hate you. But me, it hateth. How come? How come? Go on reading. Because I testify of it, that
the works thereof are evil. That's simple enough, isn't it?
I love that passage of scripture where Jehoshaphat says to Ahab,
you can read about this in 1 Kings 22, he says to Ahab, we've heard
these false prophets, is there not a prophet of the Lord that
we can hear from? Ahab said, yeah, there's one.
His name is Micaiah, but I hate him. All he testifies of me is
evil. That's all he ever, never anything
good to say. Well, here we have the Lord saying
the same thing. The world cannot hate you, but
me it hateth, because I testify that the works thereof are evil.
Now, if he says to you, all your works are evil, you're going
to do one of two things. You're going to get offended,
or you're going to say, that's the truth. That's the truth. I know it's true concerning me.
Look in John chapter 3. Verse 19, and this is the condemnation
that light is coming to the world. The light of how God saves sinners
by His grace. That's what that light is talking
about. Christ is the light. There's only one light as to
how God can accept me or you. That's through the light of the
Lord Jesus Christ. Light is coming to the world. And men love darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone that
doeth evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his
deeds should be exposed, reproved, made known. That's why men hate
the light, because the light says that all my deeds are evil.
But he that doeth truth comes to the light, that his deeds
may be made manifest, that they're wrought in God. Turn to John
15. Verse 16, you have not chosen me, but I
have chosen you. And there's election. And somebody
says, well, we choose him because he first chose us. Well, I thought
the Lord says, he says, you didn't choose me. I chose you. What a humbling, humbling thing. Why me? You didn't choose me. I chose you. And ordain you that
you should go and bring forth fruit. And that your fruit should
remain that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name,
He may give it you. These things I command you that
you love one another. If the world hate you, you know
that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world,
the world would love his own. But because you are not of the
world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the
world hates you. And you know something the world
really hates? Election. Election. because I've chosen
you out of the world. The world hates you. Now why does the world hate election? One reason. The only thing that
would prevent you from rejoicing in election, God electing who
would be saved before time began, the only thing that would cause
you to not rejoice in this is self-righteousness. You believe God owes you something
and you believe it wouldn't be fair if he passed you by. That's
the only reason. And the world hates election.
Let somebody preach election as the scripture presents it.
Folks are going to get mad. That's not fair. I don't agree
with that. I won't worship a God like that. I don't like that.
I'm against that. Well, it's so whether you are
or not. Somebody says, that's deep. No, it's just so. It's
just so. It's who God is. But I'll tell
you who will rejoice in election. Someone who doesn't have anything
to bring to the table. Someone who doesn't have any
good works. Someone that doesn't have anything but sin. Someone
who deserves to be damned. You see, election opens the door
of mercy wide. Why? The children being not yet
born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose
of God according to election might stand. Listen, your bad
works, your evil can't disqualify you. And your good works can't
recommend you. It's just God's gracious choice. And let me tell you, the only
people who are elected are people who are sinners. Are you a sinner?
Then He elected you. Anybody who sees that their only
hope is the grace of God reaching down and picking them up out
of the mire, that's somebody he chose. Let me tell you who loves election.
The elect. They do. They do. I don't like election. Well,
why would you be mad at God for something you hate anyway. Well,
it's a shame I'm not one of the elect, although I hate it. Why
should you be, why should you be angry at God for something
you hate in the first place? The elect love election, don't
they? Every single one of them. One final scripture, Luke chapter
6. Verse 22. Blessed are you. What's it say next? When men shall hate you. Blessed are you when men shall
hate you. And when they shall separate
you from their company and shall reproach you and cast out your
name as evil for the son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day,
and leap for joy. For behold, your reward is great
in heaven. For in like manner did their
fathers unto the prophets. But woe unto you that are rich,
you've received your consolation. Woe to you that are full, you
shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.
Woe unto you when all men shall speak well of you, for so did
their fathers to the false prophets. Now, I do not want to be hated
by men because of my conduct. I don't want to be hated by men
because I'm a self-righteous, arrogant, judgmental person that
nobody can stand. I don't want to be hated by men
for my rude, ill behavior. I don't want to be hated by men
for those reasons. I don't. May the Lord give us
grace to conduct ourselves before men that won't create that kind
of attitude for men. But beloved, I do want to be
hated and despised by men because of the gospel, I believe. I do. I want men to hate my guts. I
want them to want to kill me because I preach the gospel so
clearly. And so dogmatically, is that the right word? I want
to do it in a compassionate way. I want to do it in a loving way.
I want you to believe the gospel. I want everybody to believe the
gospel I preach. But I know that God's blessing is not on me if
everybody's saying, man, he's great. Well, I like what he's
saying. Somebody said to me once when
they walked out, I said, you're just like Charles Stanley. Well, he told him to take a wind
out of my sails. I mean, I want people to hate
me for what I preach. I mean, that person just didn't
hear what I was saying. They just heard the... I'll never forget that. You're
just like Charles Stanley. But man, I hope not. But the point is, no, I don't
want people to hate me because of the way I treat them. But
I want people to hate me for the gospel I preach that the
natural man hates. But beloved, we love it, don't
we? We love the gospel. Let's pray. Lord, we ask in Christ's name
that we would be so faithful by your grace in preaching the
gospel to this world that all those who believe will love us
and all those who do not believe will hate us and despise us.
And Lord, you told us when that happens to leap for joy. So Lord,
enable us to deliver us from causing men to hate us because
of our ill conduct. But Lord, give us the grace to
preach the gospel in such a way as those who hate you will hate
us too. Lord, that's the way we want
to be seen. Have mercy on us, Lord. Keep
us. Give us what we need. Give us
what we need. Lord, we're needy people. Give
us what we need. For Christ's sake, in His name
we pray. Amen. Matt Cumley is closing
in.
