Here in Deuteronomy chapter twenty-two,
we come to verse twelve. Deuteronomy chapter twenty-two
and verse twelve. Let's just take these verses
one at a time as we come to them. Deuteronomy chapter twenty-two
and verse twelve. Thou shalt make the fringes upon
the four quarters or corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou
coverest thyself. These were fringes. Most of us have seen the little
tassels. Sometimes we put them on bedspreads and things like
that, the little tassels that hang down. Over here in Numbers,
look in Numbers chapter 15. It's where we first read about
these things. In Numbers chapter 15 and look
in verse 37. We read about these garments.
It was a garment, it was a square garment that they wore over usually
their other garments and on the four corners they would put these
little tassels. On the bottom of those tassels
was blue. They were usually made out of wool and then they would
put a thread of blue around the bottom of the tassels and then
hang them to each corner of their clothes. And we see that was
a symbol of something. Look in verse 37 of Numbers chapter
15. And the Lord spake unto Moses,
saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that
they make them fringes, that word is tassels, in the borders
of their garments throughout their generations, that they
put upon the fringes of the borders a ribbon of blue. It shall be unto you for a fringe,
that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments
of the Lord, and do them and that ye seek not after your own
heart and your own eyes, after which ye used to go a-whoring,
that ye may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy
unto the Lord." Now what this was, was it was something to
remind them to keep the commandments of the Lord, to remind them to
be holy unto the Lord. When we come over in the New
Testament, These Pharisees and scribes especially, and many,
most Jewish men, especially those who were trained in the law and
so on, they wore these tassels. They wore these little garments
with tassels on them. Remember the Lord Jesus rebuked
them. He said, All your works you do
for to be seen of men, you make broad your garments, The hems
of your garments and that word there is tassel. They made broad
the tassels. I thought this was rather amusing.
John Gill who knows a lot about Jewish history, he was writing
of one of the old Jews back in the Old Testament that made these
tassels so large and so long, he hired two men to come behind
him to hold them up. Ain't that amazing? It's like
a bride's train when she comes in to get married And he said
this one Jew, he was a Pharisee, and he actually did that. And
the Lord rebuked them for that. What they did, they took figures,
they took symbols and reminders of something and they turned
them into the real thing. This was a reminder of them to
be holy and to keep the commandments of the Lord And they said because
we wear these tassels, we are holy. That makes us holy because
we wear these tassels. I read a quote from Matthew and
Henry that said one of the quotes, the old Jewish quotes was, we're
holy and sanctified unto the Lord God because He has commanded
us to wear tassels. So they come to believe because
they wore these tassels that made them holy. But you know
it's not just in the Old Testament that they took figures of things
and took them for the real thing. They do that in the New Testament
too. It's happened today. There's
two things especially that are figures. The Lord tells us, left
them to us for figures, but they've been turned into the real thing.
And let me give you one example. It's baptism. What did Peter
say about baptism? He says it's a figure, didn't
he? It's a figure, the like figure where unto baptism doth save
us by the action of a good conscience towards God. But there is a whole
denomination today that's took the figure and made something
real out of it. They say it's the figure that
puts away our sins, that washes away our sins. This word is used
two times in the New Testament, only twice. We know what a figure
is. It's a figure of baptism. We
know what baptism is. It represents something to us,
doesn't it? It's a figure of something. Peter
says, the like figure. So what is baptism the figure
of? Well, we know it's a figure of
the Gospel. It's a figure of the death, the
burial, and the resurrection of Christ, and our union with
Christ. We died with Him. We buried with
Him. We rose again. Now, you'll find
that in Romans Chapter 6. That's what it represents. And
baptism also represents cleansing. But it's a figure. And there
have been some that has taken the figure for the real thing.
And they tell you that baptism literally washes your sins away. Now there's never been a figure
that atoned for sins. There's never been a figure that
purged sin from a man's conscience. It's a figure, it's a representation
of that which does atone for sin. And they've done the very
same thing that these Jews did. They take the figure and turn
it into that which is real. There are two places this word
figure is used in the New Testament. One, I read to you, I Peter 3.21,
the like figure. The second and only place it
is used is Hebrews 9.24. Now listen to this, Christ is
not entered unto the holy place made with hands, which are the
figures of the truth, but into heaven itself, now to appear
in the presence of God for you. What was the tabernacle? What
was the most holy place? What was the blood of bulls and
goats? That was figures. Figures of what? Figures of the
true. But you can't take the figures and turn it into that
which was true. And let me give you another example
while I'm thinking about it. You're very familiar with this
too. The Lord Jesus gave us bread and wine. He gave us unleavened
bread and wine. He said, this is my body. He gave them the bread and said,
eat it. This is my body that's broken
for you. He took the cup and said, this is my blood which
is shed for many for the remission of sin. Now was that his literal
body? That would make no sense to believe
that, would it? His blood was still in his veins.
His body was still there. What he meant was this is a figure. This represents to you my real
body, and this cup represents my real blood. But what have
people done today? They've turned this figure into
the real thing. You know Catholicism actually
believes that when the priest breaks that bread, it's turned
into the real body. And they say it's the body of
Christ just as real as it was when He hung upon the cross.
Now I've read this. I'm not telling you about something
I don't know. I've read this. So they're doing the very same
thing, only maybe worse, they turn the figure into that which
is true. And the Lord Jesus rebuked these
Pharisees for it. And He'd rebuke a man today for
it. Figures. But I tell you something else
that's a blessing when you think about these fringes. From all
I can find out, the Lord Jesus wore these Himself. He wore these
tassels on the borders of His garment. Remember the woman that
had an issue of blood? And she said, If I can just touch
the hem of his garment, the border, that's the very same word that
means tassel. She said, If I can just touch
his tassel, I'll be made whole. And she touched a tassel and
virtue went out of the Lord Jesus Christ, power and healed her. Now that's real wholeness, ain't
it? When He wore it, it meant something. He didn't need to
wear that because he never forgot the commandments of the Lord.
In his heart and his mind was real holiness to the Lord. But
I tell you, when she touched those tassels, power came from
Him and healed her. But it was just figures, figures.
Now look back over in our text again in Deuteronomy chapter
22. Let's spend a few minutes here on verses 13 through 22
and let's just look at it as we go instead of reading the
whole verse to you. This is concerning a man's new
bride, if he married a bride, a young lady, and whether she
was a virgin or not, and whether he finds out after he married
her that she wasn't really a virgin and what he did about But let's
look here at this. We can learn something, I think,
from this. In verse 13, If any man take a wife, and go in unto
her, and hate her... Now, I want to stop right there
a minute and say this about some of these Jewish men. They were
some hard-hearted men in the Jewish nation. And they would
marry a wife, and simply because they didn't like her, they'd
put her away. And they'd get somebody else.
Remember when the Pharisees come to the Lord Jesus and said, is
it lawful for a man to put his wife away for any cause? And
the Lord said, God that made them in the beginning made them
male and female. And He joined them together,
brought them in together as union, husband and wife. what God has
joined together, let not man put asunder. Then they said,
well, why then did Moses give a commandment that a man could
give his wife a written bill of divorce? Why did he give us
permission to put away our wives if you said from the very beginning
it was not meant to be so? And remember what the Lord Jesus
told them, Pharisees. Why Moses gave them permission
to put away their wives? He said, because of the hardness
of your If Moses hadn't gave them permission
to put away their wives, you know what? They'd have found
a reason to put them away. And they'd have probably abused
them or worse, maybe even killed them. These Jews were hard-hearted
people. And here's a man that married
this woman, married this young lady, and he may have thought
he loved her, or he just may have pretended to love her just
to marry her, but after the first night, He hates her. He hates
her. And then, look what happens.
In verse 14, He conjured up a lie. Now look
what He says. And gave occasion of speech against
her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this
woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid. I found her not a virgin, that
word says. A virgin. He's making up a lie
just so he can divorce this woman. Now Matthew Henry says he didn't
have to do this because, well, you can read the 24th chapter
in verse 1 where Moses gave them permission to put away their
wives. He didn't agree with it, but he did that. He could have
put her away, but Matthew Henry said what bothered this guy was
he's going to have to give her a dowry. He had to give her money. So to get out of giving her money,
He brought up this lie. Would people do something like
that? Boy, they would, wouldn't they? That's the kind of people
we are, ain't it? The kind of people we are. In
verses 15 and verse 17, her father and her mother collects the evidence
of her being a virgin. Look at this in verse 15. Then
shall the father of the damsel and her mother take and bring
forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of
the city in the gate. And the damsel's father shall
say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife,
and he hates her. And lo, he hath given occasion
of speech against her, saying, I found not my daughter a maid,
a virgin, and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity,
and they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city."
These claws, we don't know very much about it, really. It seems
to indicate that it was cloth that was used underneath them
in the bed. But they knew what it was, didn't
they? Some of these things we don't know, but they knew what
it was. So the mother and the dad bring this evidence and they
present it to the elders in the gates of the city. And they said,
here's the evidence that she was a virgin when they got married.
And then, Well, they correct this fellow. And here's the punishment
they do for him. In verse 18, look at this. There's
four things here they do to this man. And the elders of that city
shall take that man and chastise him. First of all, they gave
him a tongue lashing. They raked him up and down for
trying to accuse a woman of being a harlot in Israel. That was
an awful, awful sin. And then they whipped him. Jewish
history records that they whipped Him. And then in verse 19, "...they
shall immerse him, or tax him, in an hundred shackles of silver,
and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath
brought up that evil name upon the virgin of Israel. And he
shall be, and she shall be his wife." And here is the fourth
thing, they gave Him a tongue-lashing, they whipped Him, they taxed
Him, And now they said, You can never put this woman away. And
the last part of verse 19, He may not put her away all His
days. So that's what they did to this
man. I want to next week, the Lord's
will, and I want to study with you for just a few minutes on
these women, women in the Bible. We hear a lot today of accusations
that say the Bible makes women second-class citizens. Even Christianity
makes them second-class citizens. I want us to look at that and
see if that is so. Let's look at that and see what
the Bible says about women and how the Bible treats women. Here
in verse 20 and verse 21, here is one of the reasons I say this.
Look in verse 20 and verse 21. If this thing be true, and the
tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel. Then they shall
bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the
men of her city shall stone her with stones, that she die, because
she hath wrought folly in Israel to play the whore in her father's
house. So shalt thou put evil away from
among you." Boy, that sounds harsh, doesn't it? That is why
we want to look at it next week and see a little bit about the
women in the Bible. But I want us to look at verse 20 and 21,
and we will not go any further here tonight, but I want us to
learn some things from what we have looked at here. The first
thing I want to learn about is this, and we need to see this,
the Law of God. This is the Law of God, and look
how just it is. Look how just God is. What does
this teach us? that God hates sin, doesn't He? That He hates the sin of fornication,
He hates the sin of adultery. He hates all sin, but this is
the sin that we're looking at tonight. And in the Old Testament,
look how He punishes sin. Look what He requires of those
who have committed the sin of fornication, to stone them to
death. They did this physically in the
Old Testament, And we come over to the New Testament and He threatens
fornicators and adulterers with eternal death, with the awful
wrath of God. Listen to Colossians chapter
3 and verse 5 and 6. He tells us to mortify your members
which are upon the earth. And then He mentions the first
sin that He mentions is fornication. Don't even let it be mentioned
among you, He said, for which thing's sake The wrath of God
cometh on the children of disobedience. Know you not that the unrighteous
shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven? Be not deceived, neither
fornicators." Now, isn't this a sin today that's so prevalent?
It's as prevalent as it can be. And if you say anything about
it, somebody's going to say, well, you've got no right to
judge me. But we can echo God's feeling
against this, can't we? That is the first thing we learn.
Boy, the strictness of the law of God, the justice of God, how
He hates and threatens sin. The second thing we learn about
it is this, and He tells us there in the last portion of verse
21 that this was a deterrent. So shalt thou put evil away from
among you. Such a punishment like this was
a deterrent for others who would commit such sin. where there's
a knowledge of the justice of God's law in society, it will
be a deterrent for the conscience of sinners to be more careful. For decades now, religion, and
I think you and I all know this, for a long time, I've seen it
and you've seen it, this whole thing about lessening
or even covering up The concept of God's justice. The concept
of justice. Sometimes not just lessen it,
but covering it up. And that's why we got this thought
today of people saying and thinking that God owes me something. And if they're crossed in any
way in providence, If providence puts them in any kind of a strait,
what do they do? They get mad, don't they? They
get mad at God. Why me? If there is a God, why? Why, why? And they don't feel
any responsibility towards God at all. And they don't fear God
at all because we have covered up, we've lessened, for decades
now, the justice, the holiness, the character of God. I tell
you, it's almost nonexistent from the pulpit. And you watch
your TV and the televangelist and listen to your radio, and
one thing that's absent today, and that's the holiness of God. And you know something? That's
why men don't need the Gospel. That's why they don't fear. Paul said, to you who fear God,
to you who have a sense of God's holiness and His justice, to
you who fear God, to you is the word of this salvation sent. And to those who don't have a
consciousness of who God is and His holiness and justice, they
don't need redeeming grace. They don't need blood. There's
a need. There's a need to stress Scriptures
like this. I'm glad today that we don't
do this. I'll be honest with you. How
many of us would not be here? How many of us would not be here? But this needs to be stressed
that this manifests, this reveals the justice and holiness of God. The world looks upon On this
verse here, they see this woman here standing, and rocks, man,
huge rocks, hitting her in the head, and the blood flying, and
maybe teeth falling out, and the breath being knocked from
her. And they see that, and they see the stones fly until this
woman's not breathing, and the world says, that's cruel and
unjust. Well, that's cruel. Bud, you
didn't go up on a scene like this. A woman being stoned to
death and walk away and say, that's not cruel. That was cruel. But it's not unjust. Hell is
cruel, but it's not unjust. The cross is cruel, but it's
not unjust. The last judgment will be cruel.
Take this man and bind him hand and foot and cast him into outer
darkness. Man, that's cruel, ain't it?
But it's not unjust. It reveals to us who God is in
His holiness, how strict His law is, and how God hates sin. And I'm glad we don't do this
today. Man, I wouldn't want to have all passed for this for
nothing, would you? But this is not unjust in God. It makes
us realize the need, even when we read this as believers, to
flee to the Redeemer's side, to be washed, and to be justified
and to be hid in our dear Savior. So that's some of the things
we learn from it. And we can learn also this from
it. Don't you think this made these young brides and her parents,
I bet you there was discussion, probably on the wedding day.
I bet you the mother took the daughter aside and said, now
listen daughter, you saved this evidence. And the dad probably
got to the mother and said, Did you tell your daughter to save
the evidence? She must not be found without
the evidence, the token for her virginity. If she's had charges
brought against her and she can't find the tokens, she'll be stoned
to death. Boy, that was important then,
wasn't it? To find and maintain those tokens. Let's look at three
or four places where you and I can find the tokens of our
being virgins. Because you know the Bible calls
us virgins? The virgin of Israel? The virgin of Zion? We're virgins. If you're here tonight and you're
a child of God, you've been born again, you're a virgin. And you've
got some tokens of it. You better have, Baker. You better
have some tokens of your virginity. Spiritual. Let me show you some
places. Deuteronomy chapter 22. And look
in 2 Corinthians chapter 11. 2 Corinthians chapter 11. Look in verse 1. Here is 1 right here. Look in
verse 2. 2 Corinthians chapter 11 and
look in verse 2. I am jealous over you with a
godly jealousy. For I have espoused you to one
husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."
Here is the first token of your spiritual virginity. You have
one husband. You have one husband. When the
Lord saved you, He made a virgin out of you and you've got one
husband. You own one husband, not two. You don't have Christ
and Moses or Christ and John the Baptist or Christ and the
Pope. You have one husband. Now when
you search your heart and when you ask yourself this question,
Who is Christ to me? What do you say? Gail, if I asked
you who that man is to you, that's the only husband that you have. And I remember when you gave
yourself to him and became his wife. You dropped your name,
your life, and you took his, didn't you? That's what it means
to be a virgin. It means Christ is your husband. You're married to him. You've
given yourself up to him as your husband. You've taken his name,
haven't you? And everything he has is yours
and you claim it. He is your husband. One husband. I have espoused you to one husband. People have got two or three
husbands. They are whores, aren't they? They are spiritual whores. They are spiritual fornication.
Just as there is physical fornication, there is spiritual fornication
and spiritual adultery. You have got one husband, you
go out with another. Why can't you and I hold hands
with free will? Why can't we go on a date with
free will? Free will is not our husband. We have one husband,
and we don't go out on our husband. We love our husband. Somebody
asks us for a date, it's insulting to us. We've got a husband, and
he's a fine husband. He loves us. Look over in Revelation
chapter 14. You can go through here and find
Find some evidences for yourself, but hear some more. Look at this.
Revelation chapter 14 and look in verse 1. This passage here
speaks of these as being virgins. In verse 1, And I looked, and
lo, a lamb stood on the mountain Zion, and with him nine hundred
and forty and four thousand, having his father's name written
and their foreheads. Now, here's the first thing we
see about the tokens of a virgin. They're with Him. They're with
Him. See verse 1? Now, why is that
significant? Well, you can read chapter 13
and the world is with the dragon and the beast. The world has
gone after the devil. And He has deceived them and
they are with Him until you come to verse 1 of chapter 14 and
these 144,000 which represents the church here upon this earth,
especially the church on this earth. And where is she? She
is with Him. She is with her husband. Who
are you with tonight? You are with Christ, aren't you?
Whose side are you on tonight? You are on His side, aren't you?
You rejected the devil, you rejected the beast and his mark and his
worship and his service, and you're standing with Christ.
You're standing with the Son of God. And he says here he gives
something else, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. Now hold that and turn back to
chapter 7 and you'll see the meaning of that. Chapter 7 and
verse 3. Look at this. You'll see what
it means here. Chapter 7, verse 3, saying, here
is the angel saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the seed,
nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their
foreheads. Here is what it means to have
His name written in your forehead, the seal. Now when you read the
Bible, it shows many things. One, it shows ownership. But
the main thing that the sealing teaches us in the Scripture is
that He has given you His Spirit. Paul said, Grieve not the Holy
Spirit by which you are sealed. You are sealed into the day of
redemption. And that is the earnest of our inheritance. So here is
a beautiful mark. Here is a beautiful token of
your spiritual virginity. He has given you His Spirit. is Holy Spirit. He sent the Spirit
of His Son into our minds, into our hearts, crying, Father, Father. He bears witness with our spirit
that we are the children of God. And He seals us. That's the seal.
That is the seal. We don't know Christ apart from
the Spirit, do we? We can't believe. We can't repent.
We can't pray. We can't do anything apart from
the Holy Spirit. And you know that. And the more
you grow in grace and knowledge, the more you see the tokens.
Bring forth the token. Are you a virgin? I am. He's
given to me His Spirit. He's sealed me with His Holy
Spirit. And back over here in chapter
14 again. Here's something else. In verse 3, look at this. And
they sung as it were a new song before the throne and before
the four beasts and the elders and no man could learn that song
but the hundred and forty and four thousand which were redeemed
from the earth. Here's another token. They sang
the song of redemption. And nobody can learn that song
in their hearts but these redeemed. Now, let me read this song to
you. We're told what it is in the
5th chapter in verse 9. They sang a new song saying they
are worthy to take the book and to open the seals thereof for
thou was slain and has redeemed us to God by thy blood out of
every kindred, tongue, people, and nation. That's the song that
they sang. And nobody can know that. People
try to memorize that. But you know it in your heart.
As soon as He regenerates you, you've got that song, don't you?
Let the redeemed of the Lord sing. The first time the children
of Israel ever sang as a nation. You never read of that nation
singing before until God opened up the sea, they crossed and
got on the other side, and that's the first thing they did was
sing. And you remember what the song
was? Redemption. Redemption. He's redeemed us
from the hand of Pharaoh. That's a good mark. Down deep
in your heart, there's a song. It's a song of redeeming grace
in Jesus Christ. That's a token. of your spiritual
legitimacy. And look in verse 4, chapter
14, here's another one. These are they which are not
defiled with women, now here it is, for they are virgins.
They're virgins. That's why we're looking at this
token because here's virgin. And here's a fourth one, look
at this. These are they which follow the
Lamb wheresoever He goes. They follow Him. Here is another
token of spiritual virginity. They follow the Lord Jesus Christ
wherever He leads. They follow by faith like Abraham
did. They follow in love and because
they love Him. They follow Him in humility.
They humbly follow Him. They follow Him as dear children.
Be followers of God as dear children. They follow Him because the Bible
says He is their shepherd. My sheep hear My voice. I know
them, and they follow Me. He leads you in the paths of
duty. What do you do? You follow Him. He leads you
beside the still waters, and you follow Him. He leads you
in paths of service, and you follow Him. He leads you in paths
of suffering and affliction, and you follow Him. You patiently
follow Him. And that's a token that you're
a virgin. Somebody asks you tonight, you've
got the tokens? Well, here's some of them, isn't
it? Here's some of them. And in verse 5, here's the fifth
thing, look at this. He finished verse 4, These were
redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and
to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile. The word
means deceit, a lie. In their word is no lie. Now
you and I have to tell some flips sometimes, do we not? Do we not? Will we do it ignorantly? Will
we do it willingly? I'm telling you sometimes we
flip a little bit, don't we? But there's some things you won't
lie about. When I ask you who your Savior is, you won't lie
about Him, will you? You won't lie about His character.
You won't lie about His work. You won't lie about where He
is now. What he's doing there, what he's
promised to do, you won't lie about yourself. You just let somebody corner
you up and ask you about your character, what kind of person
you are, and when push comes to shove, you'll spill your guts.
You'll tell them everything about yourself, and it won't be pretty.
It won't be flattering. I'm nothing but a sinner, an
ungodly wretch. I can't do anything without sin
mixed with it. I deserve to be in hell today.
Don't you think that about yourself. You won't lie about yourself.
You just won't do it. About these things, about Him
and yourself, you will not lie. God has not given them over to
a lie to be damned. And they won't speak flattering
lies to impress men or to avoid men's displeasure. They just
won't do it. They won't lie. And lastly, here's another token.
They are without fault, verse 5, they are without fault before
the throne of God. Now boy, that's sort of a secret
token. And I guess God would have to bring that one forth,
wouldn't He? They are without fault. They are so washed, as
we said Sunday. They are so clothed. They are
so justified that before the throne of God they are without
fault. And don't you think the devil
comes up sometime and says, Wayne Stuvik, you're not a virgin.
Let me see the tokens. Let me see the tokens. Reckon
your father brings them forth himself like this woman did?
Can you see the father standing there with this token and say,
I've got the token. Here's my daughter and I'm going
to plead for her. She's mine and she's been falsely
accused. I've got the token myself. Do
you reckon God does that? I think He does. I know Christ
does and I think God Himself does, our Father. Who is He that
condemned? Well, somebody's been accused
of that. Who can lay anything to the charge of God's elect? Well, some people do. I imagine
the devil does. But what does God say? It's God
who justifies. Who is He that condemneth? It's
Christ that died. Yea, brother, that's risen again,
who is even at the right hand of God. Boy, there's a token,
ain't it? God brings it forth and says, I've justified Him. He stands before me without fault. Christ comes forth and said,
I died for Him. He has no sin. He's mine. He's a virgin. She's a virgin. And we're without fault. Tokens
of our virginity. I'll tell you one thing, boy.
Life or death depends on this. If you can imagine how critical
it was for that girl to hang on to her tokens. Well, how critical
it is for us to see them and hang on to them. tokens of our virginity, if they're
not found. If they're not found. I remember
Pilgrim's Progress. Bunyan had some discourses, or
Hopeful and Christian, if you remember Pilgrim's Progress,
they had some discourses with Old Ignorant,
if you've ever read Pilgrim's Progress. Old Ignorant, he was
an ignorant man. And Hopeful and Christian got
down to the river of death. Boy, they had a tough time getting
across. They went down a few times and thought they was going
to drown. Finally, Hopeful came up and said, I see him, I see
him. And then they got across the river and went up. They got
up to the gate and they said, hand in your certificate, your
token. They handed in their certificate.
They opened the gate and here comes Mr. Egnert. And he knocked
on the door. And they looked over the door
at him and said, ìWho are you?î And he said, ìIíve served the Master,
and Iíve come here seeking entrance into His city, the celestial
city.î And they said, ìLetís see your certificate.î And he
searched in his bosom, but he found none. He found none. Weíve got to have the tokens,
donít we? Weíve got to have the evidences.
And we just looked at some of them. And if youíre a believer,
you have these tokens. Sometimes it's difficult to see
them. I'll say it is, but you have them. Lord bless His Word.
