Christ's sheep everywhere need nourishment in the good food of the gospel. When they hear the gospel preached, they hear the voice of the Good Shepherd which is life and comfort to them. But many undershepherds feed them rules, duties, things they must perform to please God and pass the test of election...The sheep starve and get discouraged, while the self-righteous reprobate goats get fat and promoted in their self-righteousness.
