Strive for peace, my brothers and sisters,
In all that we do and say,
Let us not be tempted by drama,
But choose peace every day.
Let us study to be quiet,
In our families and our towns,
Let us seek the peace of all around us,
And let peace be our crown.
For when dissension arises,
We must strive for truth and peace,
Not to glory in the strife,
But to bring love's sweet release.
Let us not spread tales or whispers,
But speak truth face to face,
Let us seek righteousness and unity,
In the Gospel's loving grace.
So let us not crave the spotlight,
But seek peace in all we do,
For in doing so, we'll honor God,
And bring His love to shine through.
