Good evening. Let's all stand
together. We'll sing hymn number 17. Hymn number 17. Come thou fount of every blessing,
tune my heart to sing thy grace. Streams of mercy never ceasing,
call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet,
sung by flaming tongues above. Raise the mountain fixed upon
it, mount of thy redeeming love. Here I raise mine ebony, sir,
Hither by thy help I've come, And I hope by thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God He to rescue me from danger Interposed
His precious blood O to grace how great a debtor
? Daily I'm constrained to be ? Let thy goodness, like a fitter
? Bind my wandering heart to thee ? Prone to wander, Lord,
I feel it ? Prone to leave the God I love Here's my heart, oh,
take and seal it, seal it to thy courts above. Be seated. We'll sing hymn number
354. 354. What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer. Oh, what peace we often Oh, what needless pain we bear Oh, because we do not care Everything to God in prayer. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful? Will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy laden? Comfort with a load of care. Precious Savior, still our refuge. Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise forsake
thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer. In His arms He'll take and shield
thee, Thou wilt find a solace there. If you have your Bibles with
you this evening, please open with me to the book of 1 Corinthians
chapter 11. 1 Corinthians chapter 11. Begin
reading in verse 23. 1 Corinthians 11 verse 23. For I have received of the Lord,
that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the
same night in which he was betrayed, took bread. And when he had given
thanks, he break it and said, take, eat, this is my body, which
is broken for you, this do in remembrance of me. After the
same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying,
this cup is the New Testament in my blood, This do ye, as oft
as ye drink it in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat
this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till
he come. Wherefore, whosoever shall eat
this bread and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily shall
be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine
himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that
cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh
damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause,
many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we
would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are
judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned
with the world. Lord God Almighty, Almighty Father, we come to you
once more through your blessed son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, we can't come without thanking
you. Thank you for allowing us to come into your holy presence
through your blessed son. We're so thankful that when we
do pray to you, Lord, that you intercess for us and take our
mumblings and moanings and the hurting of our hearts, take
them to the Father. We're just saying, take it to
the Lord in prayer. Lord, what a privilege it is.
And we thank you for it. Father, we thank you for this
day. Thank you for this place that we can gather, for the saints
who are gathered out. Thank you for your brethren all
over the world. We thank you for our dear pastor. Thank you
most of all for your precious blood, for your broken body,
for teaching us thy way and having mercy on us. Lord, we thank you that you've
given us a glimpse of what we are so that we may have a glimpse
of who and what you are. Lord, we ask that you would send
your Holy Spirit among us this evening. Cause our hearts and minds to
be calm to the things of this world. Things of this earthly
life. Cause us to read your word and
not just to read it, but to understand it. To believe it. Lord, make the
gospel clear and concise here tonight. I ask that you would
give our pastor liberty to speak unto us and that you bless his
words. Bless his heart as he stands
and brings forth the gospel. Lord, we have many brethren who
are weak and weary, those going through great trial and tribulations. Several we know about, and I'm
sure more that we don't. But you know it all. You know
all our needs. I ask that you would continue
to provide. Give grace and mercy. Lord, be
pitiful to us. We're nothing without thee. Lord, as we prepare to take the
Lord's Supper after service, ask that you would bless that. Cause us to truly remember you.
Remember that God was made flesh. sent to bore our iniquity on
the cross, that we may be with thee through all eternity. Let us never forget that. Lord, we ask that you'd have
mercy on our lost loved ones, and our dear friends and family,
and our children, other grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Lord, again, I ask that you would
teach us thy way. Allow the gospel to run smoothly here tonight,
if it would be thy will. We ask that thy will be done
for Christ's sake. Amen. Hymn number 225. I heard the voice of Jesus say,
come unto me and rest. Lay down, thou weary one, lay
down thy head upon my breast. I came to Jesus as I was. weary and worn and sad. I found in Him a resting place,
and He has made me glad. I heard the voice of Jesus say,
Behold, I freely give. The living water, thirsty one,
stoop down and drink and live. I came to Jesus and I drank of
that life-giving stream. My thirst was quenched, my soul
revived, and now I live in Him. I heard the voice of Jesus say,
I am this dark world's light. Look unto me, thy morn shall
rise. and all thy day be bright. I looked to Jesus and I found
in him my store, my son. And in that light of life I'll
walk ? Till traveling days are done ? Thank you. Just look in Isaiah 53 together.
Isaiah 53. who hath believed our report,
and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed. For he shall grow
up before him, before God, as a tender plant, and as a root
out of a dry ground. He hath no form nor comeliness,
and when we shall see him, no beauty that we should desire
him. He is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and
acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces
from him. He was despised, and we esteemed
him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows. Yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace
was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep
have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his
own way, and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and he was afflicted. Yet he opened not his mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the
slaughter, and as a sheep before her shears is done, so he openeth
not his mouth. He was taken from prison, the
margin set away by distress and judgment. He was taken from prison
and from judgment. And who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the
land of the living, for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the
wicked and with the rich in his death, because he had done no
violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased
the Lord to bruise him. He hath put him to grief, when
thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed,
he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall
prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of
his soul, and shall be satisfied And by his knowledge shall my
righteous servant justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a
portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoiled with
the strong, because he hath poured out his soul unto death, and
was numbered with the transgressors. And he bear the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors. I want to talk about the wounds
of our Savior tonight, the wounds. Our Lord suffered lots and lots
of wounds, lots of wounds, and I want to talk about a few of
them tonight. He suffered physical wounds, physical wounds. Every type of a physical wound
known to the medical world, our Lord Jesus Christ endured at
one time in His own body. on the cross. And there are five
physical wounds known to the medical science, medical world,
and He suffered them all, and all at once in His own body on
that tree. Now let me give them to you.
He had what they call the wound of contusion, and that means
bruised. I just read it to you, He was
bruised. for our iniquities. And oh my, and I tell you the
scriptures tells us he was bruised with a rod, and he was bruised
when men took their fist and beat on our Lord Jesus Christ,
it left bruises. He had bruises all over him.
Bruises on his face. Bruises on his back. Bruises, lots of bruises. And
the greatest bruise that he bore was when God bruised him for
our iniquities. Bruised him for our iniquities.
And then there's the wound of laceration. And that means that
the flesh is torn. The flesh is torn. And when the
flesh is torn, it means to tear roughly, to mangle. And oh, how
our Lord's flesh was tore and mangled. It was with His stripes,
His stripes, that we were healed. How did He get those stripes?
The Romans had what they called a cat-of-nine-tails, and oh,
my, and it was a rope, it was a scourge, it had lots of leather
and they'd put rocks on them and glass at the ends of them
and they'd fix them where they would inflict the worst pain
possible. And they took our Lord Jesus
Christ and they lacerated His back, took that cat of nine tails
and whipped Him and whipped Him and whipped Him and whipped Him.
And oh my, to blood, they lacerated his back, cut all to piece. And Reverend, you know, look
in Psalm 22 with me. Let me show you. And when you
get over there, you just stay over there for a little while
and go back and forth with me. But look in Psalm 22 in verse
17. Oh, his bones were exposed. They
beat him so severely that they left his bones exposed in the
back. Have you ever seen somebody with
a bone sticking out? If they break an arm or break
a leg and their bone sticks out. Well, our Lord Jesus Christ was
beaten. His wounds were so severe. His
back was so beaten, so lacerated that you could see his bones.
And look what it says there in verse 17. I may tell all my bones,
they look upon me and stare upon me. My bones see me, my bones
see me. And oh my, and then there's another
one. There's another one, not only
bruised, flesh was torn, but then there's the wound of penetration. And what does that mean? That
means that you're pierced. They pierced him. They pierced
him. Where did they pierce him at?
When they put a crown of thorns on his head. Those thorns pierced
our Lord Jesus Christ's brow. And when they stuffed him down
on his head, they stuffed him down there and those thorns stuck
all in his head. They're not thorns like you'd
get off a Blackberry book. These are long thorns. And they
made those thorns and they shoved it down on his head and those
pierced his head all the way around his head. And the blood
just flowed, flowed down into his eyes. Oh my. And our Lord Jesus Christ said,
they shall look upon me whom thou have pierced, whom thou
have pierced. And I tell you another wound
is perforation. You know what perforation is? It means to make holes, to make
holes. You know what holes they made
in our Lord Jesus Christ? They made holes in both of his
hands. They made holes in both of his feet. And I mean, they
didn't use 10 penny nails or 16 penny nails. They used spikes. It's what they made in those
days. And every time that when they done that, they penetrated,
they pierced, you know, they penetrated our Lord's hands and
feet. They perforated them when they
went through there. Oh, the pain and agony he must have felt.
But they penetrated with nails his hands and his feet, his hands
and his feet. And then there's what we call
an incision. They call it incision. And you
know where they cut our Lord Jesus Christ open at? A Roman
soldier, when our Lord was on the cross, took a long spear,
sharp spear, and took it to our Lord Jesus Christ, got right
up in his side and ripped it open. Made this awful incision across
our Savior's side. Oh my. And out came blood and out came
water. Blood to cleanse us from our
sins and water to sanctify us and make us holy. And not only
did this have all these physicals, all these wounds that he had,
but sin also had a PHYSICAL result upon our Lord Jesus Christ. You
know, our Lord's sin caused Him to endure PHYSICALLY, PHYSICAL
suffering, PHYSICAL wounds, if I can say it that way. His wounds,
His suffering was singular. I want you to look with me in
Lamentations. Lamentations, Jeremiah, and then
go back to the Lamentations. Oh my, sin had a physical effect
upon Him, physical results on Him. He had physical suffering,
He endured physically. Oh, his sufferings were singular.
Look what he said here in Lamentations chapter 1 and verse 12. He said,
Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? Behold, and see
if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto
me, wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger. When our Lord went into the garden
of Gethsemane, He physically suffered that night because of
sin. He physically suffered. He prayed
until sweat come out of His pores. sweat and blood come out of his
pores, blood come out of his body as he was praying there
earnestly in the Garden of Eden. And his sorrow like my sorrow,
when you walk by and see me, you ever seen anybody have a
sorrow like mine? That s what he s asking. And
oh, there was such severity of his joints. Now listen to me,
This is true. When they had our Lord on the
cross, you know how many joints of His that was opened up and
broken and joints got all out of place? Oh, I told you to look
and stay in Psalm 22. Look in Psalm 22 and verse 14. I am poured out like water, and
all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax, it melts
in the bits of my bowels. You know, when He s hanging there,
His joints, His shoulders, His arms, shoulders come out of joint. His hips come out of joint. HIS
ANKLES WAS HANGING THERE AND THERE WAS NOTHING TO HOLD HIS
BODY UP BUT NAILS. SO HE'S HANGING THERE AND HIS
BODY AND HIS JOINTS STARTED COMING APART. YOU KNOW HIS SHOULDERS
GOT PULLED OUT OF JOINTS AS HE'S HANGING THERE. NO TELLING WHAT IT DID TO HIS
BACK AND HIS HIPS AND HIS KNEES AND HIS ANKLES. HE SAID MY BONES,
MY BONES WERE OUT OF JOINTS. a joint, oh my, and then His
body, He s so dehydrated, He was so dehydrated, oh my, He
said, My moisture is dried up. He said, I m like a potsherd,
He said in Psalm 22 and 15. And our Lord Jesus Christ, He
said, I thirst. They didn t give Him water, they
gave Him vinegar. Oh my, had a high fever for all
the wounds that he had on him. And oh, he said, my moisture
is dried up. My tongue is swelled up and it's
like a posture. And oh my, he had such distortion
of body that they couldn't identify him. Look over in Isaiah 52,
Isaiah 52. Look in Isaiah 52. We were just
over a minute ago. Look what it said. When our Lord
was there on the cross, his body was so distorted and he was so
beaten. They plucked his beard out. They
beat on him. His face is all swollen and bruised. His bones are open up in the
back. Blood is coming down his face.
He's nailed there and His body is in such a twisted condition
and shape. Look what it says in verse 14. As many were astonished at thee,
they were astonished. His visage was so marred more
than any man, and His form more than the sons of men. His body
was so mutilated and so twisted and so in such an awful condition
that they couldn't hardly identify him, even as a man, even as a
man. Oh, my. And then, oh, he was
swollen. Look like Isaiah 5, 22 again. Keep, I told you, keep that over
there. You know, he had what they call swollen, distention
swollen. Look what he says there in verse
14. He said, I'm poured out like
water, all my bones are out of joint, my heart is like wax,
and as my bowels is melted in the midst of my bowels. Oh, he
said there in verse 15, he says, my strength is dried up as a
poncho. I got no more strength left,
I'm dry. and my tongue cleaves to my jaws, and thou hast brought
me into the dust of death." Oh, my. Oh, what sufferings our Lord
had. Let me tell you some other wounds that he had. I hope you understand this. He
had what we'd call social wounds. You ever been wounded spiritually, mentally, and emotionally by
people that was real, real close to you? But social wounds come
from association with people. Well, our Lord Jesus Christ,
He had great, great social wounds. He said, THE ASSEMBLY OF THE
WICKED Get around me. The assembly of the wicked. Here
is a man, no deceit. He said no deceit was in his
mouth. He did no sin. And here's a man that they said,
oh listen, the wicked got around him, compassed him. Oh my. And oh, he had wounds of suffering,
wounds from his foes. And oh, he had wounds of despite. He said, they hated me, hated
me without a cause. Hated me without a cause. Oh
my. He said, those that hate me are
more than the hairs of my head. That's how many people hated
me. And I read it to you, he's despised. He was despised. And oh my. You hear a lot about
defamation now. People suing one another for
defamation. Well, you know how they defamed
our Lord? He was the song of the drunkards.
When the drunks got drunk and they got to drinking and singing,
they would use Him as the song of the drunkards. This man who
called to be somebody, this man who claimed to be the Son of
God, and they would mock Him in their songs of the drunkards. And oh my, they even said he
was a child of fornication, born of a fallen woman. And then we
also know that he had the wounds of derision. Oh, how they mocked
our Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, how they mocked him. They
mocked him in everything that he done. They mocked him in all
three of his offices. You know, they said when they
slapped him, Roman soldiers slapped him. and said, You're a prophet,
prophesy who it is that hits you. And they mocked Him in His
priesthood. He saved others, but He can't
even save Himself. And they mocked Him as a king.
They put a scarlet robe on Him, put a crown of thorns on Him,
put a reed in His hands, and mockingly bowed to Him and said,
Hail, King of the Jews! King of the Jews. Oh my. And I'll tell you something else
they've done. You ever heard, there's different ways of killing
people, different ways. And the human race is guilty
of killing the King of glory, the Prince of life and the God
of all glory. They killed him. They're guilty
of murdering. When you commit patricide, that
means you kill your father. You commit matricide, that means
you kill your mother. You commit infeticide, that means
you kill your baby. You commit homicide, you kill
somebody else. You commit suicide, you kill
yourself. But we committed deicide. We
got our hands on God and we killed him. We murdered him. And people
enjoyed it. made fun of him and mocked him
and derided him over it. And I'll say this, I'll say this
until the day I die. If we haven't been guilty of
all these things that was done to Christ, then we'll have no
part in his glory. I was as guilty as anybody that
ever did anything to Christ. Everything that was ever done
to him, I was guilty of doing it. I really was. I know that without a shadow
of a doubt. And I tell you, I'm so thankful that he had mercy,
mercy on me. And oh my, and let me show you
something else. These social wounds that our
Lord Jesus Christ, they were not the wounds from an enemy
who reproached him, but a friend, he said, my friend hath lifted
up his heel against me. Oh my. Oh my, go over to Zechariah. Look in Zechariah 13. Go to Malachi and then Zechariah. Oh my, talking about wounds,
wounds, wounds. Zechariah 13. Oh, it wasn't an enemy. He was wounded
by friends. Oh my. WOUNDS OF BETRAYAL. HIS DISCIPLES BETRAYED HIM. THEY
ALL BETRAYED HIM. AND THEN LOOK WHAT HE SAID HERE
IN VERSE 6, ONE SHALL SAY UNTO HIM, WHAT ARE THESE THY WOUNDS? WHAT ARE THESE WOUNDS IN THY
HANDS? THEN HE SHALL ANSWER, THOSE WHICH WITH THY WAS WOUNDED
IN THE HOUSE OF MY FRIENDS, OF MY FRIENDS, Oh my. So he had the wounds of his friends. A friend lifted up his heel against
him. And then he had the wound of
betrayal. Betrayal's one of the awfulest things to ever, I can't
imagine how bad it would be to be betrayed by parents or be
betrayed by a husband or be betrayed by a wife. But to betray the
Lord Jesus Christ, Every one of his disciples forsook him
and fled. Every single one of them forsook
him and fled. When they come to get him, every
one of them run off. Every one of them betrayed him.
Oh my, and then one of them denied him three times. How would you
like to be somebody to deny you? Oh my, and oh my. He had wounds, wounds that his
own brother said his own brethren didn t believe on. He had wounds
of doubt. Oh, Thomas said, I m not going
to believe unless I can put my fingers in His hands and I can
stick my hand in His side. He understood what Christ went
through and said, I m not going to believe UNLESS I CAN TAKE
MY FINGERS AND PUT IT IN HIS HANDS, AND PUT THEM IN HIS FOOT,
AND STICK MY HAND IN HIS WOUNDED SIDE. THAT'S HOW MUCH OF GASH
HE HAD IN THERE, YOU COULD STICK A HAND IN THERE. AND OH, HE SAID,
OH, THOMAS EVEN DOUBTED. AND THEN, OH MY, WOUNDS OF DESERTION. OH, YOU KNOW WHAT HE TOLD THEM?
HE SAID, ALL OF YOU, ALL OF YOU, will desert me this night. How would you like that? Every
one of you going to desert me. I'm going to be here by myself,
by myself. And then his own family. Our
Lord, it says in Psalm 69, he is a stranger to my brethren,
an alien to my mother's children. And you know, they came to get
the Lord. He was in there teaching and teaching in a house and his
mother and brother had come and said, your mother stands without,
she wants to talk to you. Said, he's beside himself. Said,
he's going crazy. Listen to what he's talking about.
Listen to what he's teaching. He's beside himself. That's what
his family thought of him. And he lived among sinners and
they run him off. They run him off. Oh, my. Oh, my. And then, you know, there's
the wounds of Satan. There's two of them. Two of them. Genesis 315 says, you know, said
that. He would bruise your heel, but
you'd crush his head that his heel, our Lord Jesus Christ,
through Satan, when he wounded. And then he says, the bulls of
Bashan, the bulls of Bashan have got me, come after me. And oh, then there's the wounds
that God himself inflicted on our Savior. There's the wounds
that God himself inflicted on him. God inflicted wounds. And God can make you suffer.
Oh, how God can make a man suffer. You know how He made our Lord
Jesus Christ to suffer? The greatest way He made Him
to suffer? He made Him to be sin. Made Him to be what we are. Made
Him to be whatever sin is, whatever it is. God took His own Son and
made Him to be that. Oh, God made him to be sin. Tell you something else God inflicted
on him. He made him to be a curse. Cursed is everyone that hangeth
on a tree. And he was cursed and hanged
on a tree. And he was cursed, God made him
a curse for one reason, to save us from the curse. Save us from
the curse. And oh my, And I tell you something
else, God, God Himself poured out all of His wrath on him. Look in Psalm 88, look in Psalm
88, look in Psalm 88, look what He says here, oh my, God
poured out all of His wrath on him. He said, He, our Lord said,
if there be any way other way, let this cup pass from me. But
look what He said here in Psalm 88 and verse 8, 7, excuse me, verse 7 first, Thy
wrath lieth HARD upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all
thy ways. Thou hast put away mine acquaintance
from me, thou hast made me an abomination. unto them, I'm shut
up, and I cannot come forth. Look down verse 16, thy fierce wrath goeth over me,
thy terrors have cut me off, thy terrors have cut me off.
And oh my, he suffered, he suffered the unmitigated wrath
of God, He's the only one who ever did. Only one who ever did. He was able to bear the unmitigated
wrath of God and there was no mercy shown to him. There was
no pity shown to him. There was no grace shown to him.
There was no kindness shown to him. God turned his back on him. And oh my, he treated him like
he was the greatest sinner. Luther said it like he was the
greatest sinner that ever lived. Oh my. And our Lord even cried
from the cross. You're talking about suffering.
My God, my God. Why? Why? Why? Has thou forsaken me? Why'd you do it? Why? And the answer comes back, because
you're holy and you can't do anything else. You're holy. Oh
my, I've never been forsaken of God. Have you? Never been
forsaken of God. And then let me give you the
last one. Wounds of substitution. I love these. All those wounds
that I've talked to you about, they were actually inflicted
for us. He went through all that to save
us. He endured all those things to
save us. He endured the wounds to save
us. Bruised and afflicted to save
us. Perforated, cut, beaten, bloody,
wounded, mocked, derided, all for us, pierced for us. And I
read there Isaiah 53, and he says, you know, his own self
in his own body bore our sins in his own body on the tree.
You know, when you take a tree, a good tree, you got to have
a good tree, And if you wanna graft a tree into that, you got
to wound both trees. And the less tree, the less tree
is grafted into the best tree. The least is put into the, and
that's what it was. Christ was wounded. And the only
way we had any part of Him is that we're grafted into Him and
joined to Him and all His wounds, beloved, was for us. Bless his
holy name, oh my. And I tell you what, these wounds
are substitution. And let me tell you something,
in these wounds and all the things that I read to you in Isaiah
53, it tells us there's bread for the hungry. Not many hungry
now. I'm very discouraged, I'll tell
you that, very discouraged that people didn't have enough interest
in taking the last supper of the supper of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the blood and the wine and the bread that they didn't
even come, ain't interested enough in Christ to want to come and
even take the Lord's table. That's bad, that's bad. And yet
they rejoice in the gospel. But there's bread for the hungry.
Water for the thirsty. As clothes for the naked. Salvation for sinners. Strength for the weak. Rest for
the weary. Hope for the hopeless. Sight for the blind. And hearing for the deaf, life
from the dead. The only way we can approach
God is through the wounds of our Lord Jesus. He was betrayed.
He was beaten. Everything that I've described
tonight, it was all for us, for His elect, for His people. And
this is the only way we can approach God. YOU, ME, OR ANYBODY ELSE
IS GOOD ENOUGH TO APPROACH GOD OUTSIDE OF CHRIST. THIS IS THE
WAY. WHEN YOU READ ISAIAH 53 AND THE
VERSES THAT I SHOWED YOU OUT OF ZECHARIAH 13 AND LAMENTATIONS
1, 12, IS IT NOTHING TO YOU THAT PASSED BY? ALL MY SORROW WERE
WITH I AM AFFLICTED BY GOD? Where are those wounds? Where'd
you get those wounds? Now, it wasn't an enemy done that to
me. It's my friends. It's my friends. And every bit of it, every bit
of things I scribe tonight, he did for his elect. Bless his
holy name. Our Father, in the precious name
of your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that you, in your sovereign
mercy, would use the words that's been said tonight, that you'd use them somewhere,
somehow, some heart, some mind, some soul. And Lord, I thank you for all
the suffering All the suffering, all the wrath, all the bloodiness,
all the betrayal, denial, just so you'd never, ever deny us,
ever forsake us. And Lord, thank you. He was wounded
for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity. Blessed be your holy name. Amen. Amen. All right, brethren. Houston, you can lead a song. Go ahead. You don't take me. Red wine. 1.5. I ain't near the Savior's
seat. Child of weakness, watch and
pray. I'm in Thee, Thine all in all. Jesus paid it all, all to Him
I owe. Sin had a gripsen stain, He washed
it white as snow. For thou, indeed I find, thy
power and thine alone can change the leper's spots and melt the
heart of stone. Jesus paid it all, all to Him
I owe. Sin had left the princess stay,
He washed it white as snow. Nothing good have I whereby thy
grace to claim. I'll wash my garments white in
the blood of Calvary's Lamb. Jesus paid me all, all to Him
I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow. and win before the throne. I stand in him complete. Jesus died, my soul to save. My lift shall still repeat. Jesus paid it all, all to Him
I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow. The very creator of all life
in the world. He had known what he was going
to do. He had given himself to the Father
for a sacrifice. He really came back for his people. He laughed and broke his butt. No complaint, except for our
very death. So that arose. We give thanks
to him over and over again. May we keep this heart, heart's
day. Amen. Amen. I praise you, Lord
Jesus, and become thankful for your thankful hearts. Thankful
as you called this coming tonight. Thankful for this gospel of the
Lord Jesus Christ. Thankful that you give us hearts
to believe. And we come here tonight, Lord, to take the Holy
Sacred. To remember you. To remember that precious mother
who shed her life for her children. To remember that that blood washed
us white as snow abroad and took our sins away. Never, but let's
forget that in our whole life. Good evening. Good evening.
