together we'll sing hymn number
272. 272. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus righteousness. I dare not trust
the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand. Other ground is sinking sand
When darkness fills his lovely face I rest on his unchanging
grace In every high and stormy gale My anchor holds within the
veil On Christ the solid rock I stand All other ground is sinking
sand All other ground is sinking sand His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood When all around my soul gives
way Heaven is all my hope and stay On Christ the solid rock
I stand All other ground is sinking sand All other ground is sinking
sand When he shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in
him be found, Dressed in his righteousness alone, Faultless
to stand before the throne. On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand All other ground is sinking sand
Be seated. We'll sing hymn number 474. 474 Not have I gotten, but what I
received. Grace hath bestowed it since
I have believed. Boasting excluded, pride I obeyed. Only a sinner saved by grace
Only a sinner saved by grace Only a sinner saved by grace
This is my story To God be the glory I'm only a sinner, saved
by grace. Once I was foolish, and sin ruled

to depart Jesus I found being happy my case I now am a sinner
saved by grace Only a sinner, saved by grace Only a sinner,
saved by grace This is my story, to God be the glory I'm only
a sinner, saved by grace Tears unavailing, no merit that I,
Mercy had saved me, or else I must die. Sin had alarmed me, fearing
God's face, but now I'm a sinner, saved by grace, only a sinner. Saved by grace Only a sinner
Saved by grace This is my story To God be the glory I'm only

saved by grace Only a sinner, saved by grace This is my story,
to God be the glory I'm only a sinner, saved by grace Good evening. If you would, open
your Bibles to John chapter 3. John chapter 3. I'm going to
read the first 21 verses. John chapter 3. There was a man of the Pharisees
named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus
by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher
come from God, for no man can do these miracles that thou doest,
except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto
him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said unto him,
How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second
time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of
the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which
is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the
spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee,
ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth,
and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell. Canst not
tell which it cometh, and whither it goeth? So is every one that
is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto
him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto
him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and
testify that we have seen, and ye receive not our witness. If
I told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you
believe if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended
up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son
of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent
in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. Who are those people that believeth
in him? Well, John 6.37 is one of the
places in the Bible in this blessed book that tells us. It says,
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that
cometh to me I will know why he is cast out. Verse 16, For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. For God sent not his Son into
the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him
might be saved. He that believeth on him is not
condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because
he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is coming to the world,
and men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds
were evil. For every one that doeth evil
hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds
should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh
to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they
are wrought in God. Dear Heavenly Father, we come
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We come seeking to worship,
seeking to bless your holy name, seeking to learn more about our
Savior, seeking to be drawn closer to him. Leave us not to ourselves
today, Lord, but cause us to see Christ, cause us to hear
from him. One word is worth no telling what. And I pray, Lord,
for the sake of this congregation that you'd be with them and heal
them if you so will. Pray for the ones that don't
know you, Lord. Pray that you give them an aid. We pray for
our families, Lord, our children, our grandchildren. Pray for my
wife, and pray that you cause them to see their need. Cause
them to come hear the gospel. Forgive us of everything, son,
like you. Forgive me of my sins, dear Lord,
you're many. And I pray for your mercy, and
throughout this service, may everything be done for your glory.
In Christ's name we pray, amen. Hymn number 233. 233. ? Death
of mercy can there be ? Is he still reserved for me? Can my God his wrath forbear? Be the chief of sinners spared? I have long withstood His grace,
Long provoked Him to His face, Would not hearken to His calls,
Grieved him by a thousand falls. Now incline me to repeat, Let
me now my sins lament, Now my foul revolt deplored, We believe
and sin no more. There for me my Savior stands,
Holding forth His wounded hands. God is love, I know, I feel,
Jesus keeps and loves me still. Not many people that wonder first
Mercy still reserved for them. Oh Lord, need mercy, mercy, mercy
every day, need His mercy. Exodus 14, Exodus 14. And the Lord spake unto Moses,
saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn, and
encamp before Pi-hi-hi-roth, between Migdal and the sea, over
against Baal-ziphon, before it shall ye encamp by the sea. For
Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled
in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in. And I will harden
Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them. And I will
be honored upon Pharaoh and upon all his hosts, and that the Egyptians
may know that I am the Lord." And they did so. And it was told
the king of Egypt that the people fled, and the heart of Pharaoh
and his servants was turned against the people. And they said, Why
have we done this? That we have let Israel go from
serving us. And he made ready his chariot,
and took his people with him. And he took six hundred chosen
chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them. And the
LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And he pursued
after the children of Israel. And the children of Israel went
out with a high hand, But the Egyptians pursued after them,
all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen, and
his army overtook them in camping by the sea, between Pi-hi-hi-roth,
between Baal-ziphon. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the
children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians
marched after them. And they were so afraid, and
the children of Israel cried unto the Lord. And they said,
Moses, because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken
us away to die in the wilderness? Wherefore hast thou dealt thus
with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word
that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we
may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us
to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.
And Moses said unto the people, fear ye not, stand still and
see the salvation of the Lord, which he shall show you today. For the Egyptians whom you have
seen today, you shall see them again no more. THE LORD SHALL
FIGHT FOR YOU, AND YOU SHALL HOLD YOUR PEACE. AND THE LORD
SAID UNTO MOSES, WHEREFORE CHRIST UNTO ME, SPEAK UNTO THE CHILDREN
OF YISRAEL, THAT THEY GO FORWARD. BUT LIFT UP THOU THY ROD, AND
STRETCH OUT THINE HAND OVER THE SEA, AND DIVIDE IT. and the children
of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
And I, behold I, will harden the hearts of the Egyptians,
and they shall follow them. And I will get me honor upon
Pharaoh, and upon all his hosts, upon his chariots, and upon his
horsemen. and the Egyptians shall know
that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh,
upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. And the angel of God
went before the camp of Israel, removed, and went behind them,
and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood
behind them. And it came between the camp
of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel, and it was a cloud
of darkness to them, but it gave light to night by night to these,
so that the other one could not come near the other one all night.
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, And the LORD caused
the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and
made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the
children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the
dry ground, and the waters were a wall unto them on their right
hand and on their left." That's a lot of reading, and I've read
that to tell you this. Everywhere you look, you'll see
salvation by grace, salvation by the Lord, and that's what
we see tonight so clearly and so plainly. Here in Exodus 4,
God's taken this new nation of Israel, just took them out of
Egypt, took them out of Egypt and bringing them into this new,
brand-new nation. And this is just a typical picture
of our Lord Jesus Christ dealing with His elect as He saves them. He brings them out because of
the sovereign covenant that He made with them and the promise
that He made to Abraham. So He brought them out, and as
we deal with this subject tonight, it s very obvious to see that
salvation is of the Lord. Salvation is something that God
does. And you know the Holy Spirit,
what happens is, is just like these people. He has to begin
to convince this man of sin. That s the first thing God will
convince a man, of sin, and that he can t get rid of it. He don
t have the ability to get rid of it. And not only that, but
He ll convince him of righteousness, that he don t have one. He don
t have one at all. Somebody else has got to give
him one, and of judgment because they believe not on the Lord
Jesus Christ. And what God does is He leads
a soul, just like He did Israel here, into a sense of its emptiness,
its bareness, its inability to do anything. And when He does
this, when He empties a man, brings him to this awful situation
that these people are in. THAT'S THE ONLY TIME HE'LL EVER
APPRECIATE SALVATION IS SALVATION BY GRACE WHEN GOD GETS HIM IN
A SITUATION THAT ONLY GOD CAN GET HIM OUT OF. AND GOD BRINGS
PEOPLE TO A PLACE THAT HE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN DO A MIRACLE
AND DO A SUPERNATURAL ACT UPON THEM AND SAVE THEM. HE'S THE
ONLY ONE. AND THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS HERE.
IT'S A SUPERNATURAL ACT THAT GOD PERFORMS HERE FOR THESE PEOPLE. AND OH, I'M SO THANKFUL FOR GOD'S
GRACE IN CHRIST And when God leads you someplace, He takes
you there to save you, to save you. Now look at this, first
of all, He brings you to a helpless condition. Look what He said
here in verse 3, chapter 14. For Pharaoh will say of the children
of Israel, they are entangled in the land, and the wilderness
hath shut them in. They are! He said they ve got
out here and they ve got entangled in the wilderness, and the Lord
in the land has shut them in. And here they are, they re entangled
in this awful wilderness. It tells where they are, and
the Lord led them to this place, just like He leads a sinner to
a place that he s without any hope, and the world and Egypt
is after them. And when a sinner comes is UNDERSTANDING
what God has done to him and brings him to this place. He
HAS to do it because a man will never come to Christ! And look
what it says there in verse 2. He says, Speak unto the children
of Israel, that they turn, and encamp before Paharoth between
Mignol and the sea. He s caught between the sea and
the wilderness. So they can't go back and they
ain't got no place to go but to see. So here that's what Pharaoh
looks at and says, Boy, I've got them right where I want them.
He said, I've got them right where I want them. And that's
why God put His children in such a position that there is what
they call between a rock and a hard place. Why would He put
a person in that position? Why would He bring them to a
place and the enemy just fixing to get them? Why would He do
that? Well, He has to do that, or nobody
would ever be saved. He has to put you in a rock and
a hard place. And they were like a convicted
sinner shut up between the justice of God, the impossible broken
law of God, and between the sea of human inability. And oh, did
God make a mistake in leading them into this trap? And that's
what happened, it was a trap. Pharaoh will say, oh, I've got
them. I've got them. They're right
over there. I've got them, they're entangled
in the wilderness. And oh, I'm gonna go get them. I'm gonna
finish this bunch off. I'm gonna bring them right back
and put them exactly where they started at. They're gonna be
slaves to me again. And oh my, oh, Abraham, will
they say of you, oh, look in Psalm 71 with me. Look in Psalm
71, what he says over here. Seventy-one in verse 11, this is what happened, people
think, Boy, God's forsook me! Oh my! Look what He said in verse 11,
Oh, they say, God hath forsaken Him, persecute him, and take
him, for there is none to deliver." And that s what happened here.
They got in a situation that Pharaoh said, They re entangled,
I ve got them, I m going to get them. And when God begins to
deal with the soul, that s the first thing He thinks. Well,
I said, There s no way, no way I can be saved, no way I can
get out of this mess that I m in. But oh no, I tell you what, you're
caught between your enemies and the sea of human inability, and
the enemies follow us, follow us. But look what happens now.
Look down here in verse 9 and 10. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the
children of Israel lifted up their eyes, they looked, they
looked, and they seen the Egyptians marching after them. Oh my, here
s this great army marching after them, greatest army in the world
at this time, and look what it said, They were so afraid, I
mean they were terrified, that s what that means, terrified.
And all the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, Oh, and the Egyptians pursued
them and got them, and oh, Israel lifted up their eyes. You know,
here's when Pharaoh drew nigh, and they became terrified and
became afraid. That's when they cried unto the
Lord. Oh, when you ain't got no place
to go, You ain't got no way to get out of the situation you're
in. You can't save yourself from your sin. You can't save yourself
from your inability. You can't save yourself from
your impotence. You can't save yourself at all. When the enemy
is so nigh, when the enemy has got you, when you think the enemy's
put me in a situation that I can't get out of, that's when they
cried unto the Lord. Huh? Who else are gonna call
on? Who else can they call on? But
it was only when they got terrified, only when they got seraphim.
And that's even, you know, us as believers, sometimes we have
to get in a really, really bad place before we'll really, really
call on the Lord. You know, it's like those people
in Iowa. Some of them lost their homes,
they lost The basement, they lost it, and there s so many
people that s in trouble, and who s going to save them out
of their trouble? Who s going to save them out of their trouble?
It s when we get terrified, it s when we get in a position that
we can t do nothing for ourselves, and I ll tell you something,
we stay in that position if the truth be known. It s the position
we re always in. There s enemies all around us.
They come in from the left, they come from the right, they come
from the front, they come from the back. We're fighting against
principalities, against powers, against prince of darkness, and
principalities and powers in this world, spiritual wickedness
in our places. And oh my, it's when they're
so afraid. When all earthly help and all earthly hope is cut off
before anyone of crying to the Lord. That was my experience,
and it's still my experience. I have to cry unto the Lord.
And a soul has to be shut up to faith, shut up to faith. Y'all know the story about disciples. They got in the ship and our
Lord said, go to the other side. He went to sleep. Great, great
storm come up. They thought the ship was gonna
sink. It was tossed to and fro. And they thought they were gonna
perish. thought that we were going to
perish. LORD, DON?T YOU CARE THAT WE?RE GOING TO PERISH? These
are apostles, they thought we?re going to perish! They went down
and woke him up and said, ?MASTER, DON?T YOU CARE WHAT?S GOING ON
WITH US?? And that?s the way these people were. It?s only
when they got in trouble. ?DON?T YOU CARE, LORD, WHAT?S
GOING ON WITH US?? And our Lord woke up and He just looked out
at the sea, ?BE STILL!? Calm the storm, calm the wind. Oh my. And that's why sometimes
some people feel like the Lord's just not paying any attention
to me. I'll tell you, sometimes that's
one of the things, the best way in the world to get our attention,
just leave us to ourselves. Let our hearts get cold, let
our minds get dull. Let us get careless. And oh my. And it's like Bartimaeus. said,
by the wayside begging, he heard Jesus was coming by. He heard
him coming by. He started crying out, Jesus,
the son of David, have mercy on me. Sh, sh, sh, sh, sh, sh,
sh, sh. The disciples went over and said,
be quiet, be quiet. You know what happened? He cried
the louder and cried the more. What do you want? I want to see
Messiah. And you know what I said? Our
Lord stood still and said, commanded him to be called. But it's when
you can't do nothing for yourself. And can you do anything for yourself
now in your salvation? Oh my, oh my. Let me show you something. Look
in Psalm 107 with me. Look at this. This is interesting. I want you to see this over here
in Psalm 107. It's interesting. It is to me. It may not be to you, but it
is to me. Now you can go through this thing,
and it says they're in trouble. And all the things that happened,
they cried unto the Lord in their trouble. In verse six, look what
it says. Then they cried unto the Lord
in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
Look down in verse 13. Then they cried unto the Lord
in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
Look down in verse 19. They cried unto the Lord in their
trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. Look down
in verse 28. Then they cry unto the Lord in
their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
When do people cry unto the Lord? When they're in trouble. when
they're in trouble. Oh Lord, the Lord had to bring
us home, put him in trouble, put him in trouble. But look
how salvation by the Lord, his presence and his power. Look
down verse 13. It's the first thing Moses said
unto the people. Moses said unto the people, fear
ye not. Be afraid of everything, until
you hear the Lord say, Fear ye not. Fear not, fear EVERYTHING
until you hear this from the Lord, fear not. Fear sin, fear
self, fear the flesh, fear religion, fear carnal reasoning, fear the world, But oh, fear not. And then look
what he said. Stand still. Stand still. Stand still. Don't move. Stand still. You know what our Lord said? He said, be still and know that
I'm God. Be still, be calm. Don't fret,
don't worry. You ever seen anybody that just
bite their fingernails all the time, just bite, bite, bite,
bite, bite their fingernails all the time? You know they got
to be nervous. You know they got to have high
strung, just be biting their fingernails all the time. Be still. Know that I am God. Quit biting your fingernail. Be still and know that I am God. Be calm. Don't worry. Don't fret. And
that's what he's saying here. Stand still. Cease from your
worrying. Cease from your works. Cease
from your fretting. Cease from being so upset. Cease from being afraid of the
enemy. Cease from being afraid of Pharaoh. And then look what he said. Stand
still and see, see the salvation of the Lord. Oh my. You just stand still, you're
gonna see something you ain't never seen before. You're gonna
see the salvation of the Lord. If everyone ever sees and experiences
salvation, you know what it'll be of? It'll be of the Lord.
Salvations of the Lord from start to finish. Salvation of the righteousness
of the Lord. I know so many people in the
Bible saw the salvation. Abraham saw salvation. Where'd he see it at? When he
brought his son off the mountain. Jacob saw the salvation of the
Lord when the Lord laid hold on him one night, whipped him
and brought him into submission and changed his name and changed
his walk. Oh my, Simeon saw the salvation
of the Lord. Isaiah said, I saw the Lord high
and lifted up. And oh, he saw the salvation
of the Lord. And I tell you what, be still
and see the salvation of the Lord. And oh, bless his name. I'm so thankful that I've seen
that salvation is of the Lord. It's not got anything to do with
me. These folks here, they cried,
they was scared, they told Moses, why'd you bring us out here?
Ain't there enough graveyards up back in Egypt? Why'd you bring
us out here to put us a graveyard out here? We all gonna die here.
No, they wasn't gonna die. They wasn't even close to dying.
Wasn't even close to having trouble. You know why? Because they're
gods, huh? And oh my, see the salvation
of the Lord. Our Lord said, Abraham saw my
day and he was glad and he rejoiced in it. When the God of glory
appeared unto our father Abraham, called him to go out, he went
out not knowing where he was. And this salvation has nothing
to do with works. Look what he said in verse 14.
Listen to this. The Lord shall fight for you.
They said, all they can see is that army coming after them.
Chariots and horses and multitude of people. He said, the Lord
will fight for you. The battle is the Lord's, the
Lord will fight for you. The Lord will fight for you.
David you know he went up to he went up to talk to Saul and
his brothers went in sat see him and there's this great big
nine-foot giant standing out well somebody said he was 13
feet I I think he's nine ten feet tall he's a big man and
he stood out there dared anybody to come out there and fight him
David looked down and said who's that? Oh, that?s a fellow named
Goliath, he?s a Philistine, and he?s, you know, he?s threatened
ANYBODY that can whip him said the army will surrender. David
said, Well, listen, is there not a cause? Is there not a cause? Well, you?re just a boy, you
ain?t got no sense going down there, you ain?t got no business
going down there. He said, listen, the battle belongs to the Lord.
He went down there with five smooth stones. And you know what
they are? Election, unconditional, effectual
calling, all the things that we believe
to the, and I tell you, but he only needed one. He needed that
one. that said that salvation's of
the Lord. One stone, that fella dropped
like a rock. Stand still, the Lord's gonna
fight for you. And this little old boy, that's
what they called him. You see, you're so proud and
you're so full of yourself, you're just a boy. They said, you're
a stripling. He went out there and defeated
a giant with one stone. And you know what it was? Salvation
to the Lord. You know, He's not defied Israel,
He's defying God Almighty. And I tell you what, you defy
God, you're gonna go down. The bigger you are, the harder
you fall. And that's what happened here. He said, the Lord will
fight your battles for you. And oh my, and look what He said,
and you'll hold your peace. You won't have nothing else,
you'll hold your peace. You'll say, oh yes, I got nothing else
to say but salvation to the Lord. Lord, thank you, bless you. I
praise you that you've done that for me. Oh my. I'll tell you
what, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. And oh
my. Lord, look at this miraculous,
talking about a supernatural salvation, miraculous salvation.
You know, salvation is a miracle. It's absolute miracle for a sinner
to be saved. for a sinner to be saved. It's
a miracle work of God Almighty. But look what he said down here
in verse 21. And Moses stretched out his hand
over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong
east wind. That night made the sea dry land
and the waters were divided. Oh my, how in the world has this
happened? Well, you talk about a miracle,
supernatural salvation. Now, when the river dries up,
you know, because of weather like this here, you can walk
across on dry land, but you're not gonna go across the sea.
You're not gonna, right now in the Red Sea, over there now,
it's so deep that the ships go through there. Ships go through
there. All kinds of ships go through
the Red Sea. And a bunch of them infidels
over there, them Muslims and that, are shooting and destroying
some of those ships. It's so big, see, that ships
are going through it. That's how big it is. God said,
I'm gonna split it. I'm gonna cause it to dry up. You know why that they're gonna
go through on dry land? Something else has to happen
first. You know what had to happen? A lamb had to be slain. A lamb
had to be slain. The blood had to be shed. You
can't come out until the blood's been shed, the lamb's died before
the blood's been applied. And when that blood's been applied
and that lamb's been slain, then, then after redemption's been
applied, then that's when you can go out. And oh my, and I'll
tell you what, oh what power manifested. Oh, God can only
manifest His saving power after the blood has been shed. And
all the enemies behind them, the Red Seas before them, how
are they going to be saved? It'll take a miracle. We sang
that song, It Took a Miracle to Hang the Stars in Place. It
took a miracle, you know, a miracle of love and grace to save me.
I don't know exactly how it goes, but you know what I'm talking
about. It'll take a miracle. If they gonna be saved, these
people gonna be saved, it'll take a supernatural power, supernatural
power. And God saved them in such a
way, in such a way that he received all the glory and they didn't
receive any. He saved them in such a way that
God gets all the glory, because he did all the saving. They did
all the complaining, but God saved them in spite of themselves.
And God has opened for us a new and living way through the blood
of our Lord Jesus Christ. And he said, let us draw near
with a heart full of assurance. And I'll tell you what, he maintained
that sea and held it up. There was 2 million people. That's
what they say. There was 2 million Jews at this
particular time. And you imagine two million people,
two million people going through, marching through
there. The one's got to take the first step. And they're going
to walk through there. There's going to be old, old,
old people that somebody's going to have to help them. If they
ain't got a cane, somebody's going to have to hold on to them
and help them. And there's going to be babies that's going to
be carried around in their mother's arms going through there. There's
going to be toddlers that people are going to have to hold their
hand. There's going to be every age,
every type of person that you can possibly imagine going through
there on dry land. And they start through there,
and you've got two million people. There's a whole bunch on the
other side before the others get halfway through. They start
through there, the first one through, he comes out the other
side. Two million people going through there. I bet there's a lot of dust with
that many people going through there. And you know how long it stayed
like that? Until Granny stepped out of there. Granny was creeping out of there. Come on, Granny, pull her on
through. But oh my, just as sure, I'll
tell you what, you know, the scriptures tells us without me
you can do nothing. And oh, our Lord Jesus said,
of all thou has given me, I've lost not one of them, none, not
one. He'd ever lost one person in
that Red Sea, not one. Every single one of them from
the youngest to the oldest and all in between got through that
Red Sea. And there's no danger, no danger
that water could come down upon him and drown him. Sometimes
you think it may, but it won't. But then look here what saving
faith does, look what happens now. In verse 15, look what it
says. And the Lord said unto Moses,
wherefore cryest thou unto me, speak unto the children of Israel,
that they go forward. Start walking. Go forward now, go forward now. It's time to move, it's time
to move. And oh, it's enough, let me tell
you something. They walked out, somebody had
to start walking out into the midst of that sea, somebody went
forward. And he said, let tell the children of Israel to go
forward. And they went out in the midst of that sea. It's not
enough to hear there is a way. There's not enough to know there
is a way. There's not enough to see there
is a way. There's not even enough to praise there's a way. Or to
magnify the wisdom and power of Him who made it. And the scripture
said in Hebrews 11, 9, by faith, they went through the Red Sea
by faith. But I tell you what, that has
to be entered. It has to be entered. They went
in, the enemy's hot on their trail. Oh my. But I tell you, there was no
condemnation to any of them. Do you know who got condemned
this time? Who fell this time? look at the protection Pharaoh
and his army failed, but look at the protection that God gave
these people. Look here in verse 19, And the
angel of God which went before the camp of Israel removed and
went behind them, and the pill of the cloud went from before
their face and stood behind them." There was a cloud out here in
front of them before they started in the Red Sea. He got up, moved
behind them. The cloud went up, got behind
them. And look what happens now. And it came between the camp
of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. And it was a cloud
and darkness to them, But it gave light by night to those
that see. I mean, it took a long time to
get through that. Look what it said, so that the
one came not near the other all night. Oh, you're talking about
protection, protection. God Himself, He called the pillar,
the pillar of God's protection. The angel of God, that plinth
or cloud, came between them and the place of safety. To the enemy
it was darkness. When they looked at that cloud,
all they could see was dark. All of God's people over here
on the other side, all they could see was light, and that's the
way it still is. The world sees darkness, we see
light. You read it tonight. Men love
darkness rather than light. But, oh, mine won't come to that
light. But when we see light, they see darkness. And, oh, that's
what happened, you know. He said, to our enemies it's
darkness, but to us it's light, such light. Oh, the other side. Oh, those who are in the way,
they're gonna be protected. It's called the pillar of His
presence. And God puts a difference between us and the world. The
people of the world, the Egyptians, they see darkness, we see light.
They're looking at exactly the same thing. They want war, we
want peace. They love darkness, we love light.
What's sweet to us is bitterness to them. What's sweet to them
is bitterness to us. They walk in darkness, we walk
in the light. And people will be kept in this
way. They're gonna be kept till they
get through. They're gonna be kept till they
cross the Red Sea. And I tell you, God's people's
gonna be, and this says here that they cannot come near to
one another. The world can't have us, and we don't want the
world. There's no middle ground between
us. Can't come near one another.
And then look at the song. And then he starts out with a
song in chapter 15, verse one. Look what he says. Then sang
Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord. Spake,
saying, I will sing unto the Lord. I tell you, they had something
to sing about, didn't they? Pharaoh got, you know, you can
read it yourself, but Pharaoh got in there, and after they
got to the other side, they said, we're gonna catch him. They got
to the other side, Pharaoh got in there, God drowned them all. He said, I'm going to let Pharaoh
and his army know that I'm the Lord. They're going to find out
that I really am the Lord. Going to find that out. Who is
the Lord that we should obey Him? And you know, when you go
through this song, this song, let me tell you this. You can
look, read it later on your own time. There are three thines,
10 thous, 11 thys, but no mes. Thou, thy, thou. God, you did
it all. That's what they're saying. They
sang unto the Lord. He hath triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider hath
he thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song. He has become my salvation. He is my God. He's my Father's
God and I'll exalt him. Oh my, God says there, they covered
them in the depth of the sea, so our right hand has saved us.
Oh, the way God saved these people, He saves us the same way. He
brings us soothums. If when they go through us the
water, it'll not overflow you, not overflow you. Our blessed Father in heaven,
your name is holy, your nature is holy, your works are holy,
your word is holy, and you made your people to be holy. Lord,
when we see how you save your people so many times throughout
reading your words and looking into your word, it reminds us
and teaches us again and again and again and again the salvations
of the Lord. that the Lord will fight our
battles. We don't have to fight our battles. We don't have to
argue and debate with anyone. You'll fight our battles. Goliath
may be big, but Lord, he'll fall. This world seems to be reeling
and tottering like a drunk man. And Lord, we see trouble all
around us. We see pain and sorrow in so
many people's lives. We should throw them all everywhere.
But oh Lord, you're our salvation, you're our God. You're the salvation
of our souls. You're the strength of our salvation.
You're the God of our salvation. And Lord, thank you. Thank you,
bless your holy name, for saving your people in a way that you
get all the glory. You get all the glory, not under
us, oh Lord, but under thy name. Be glory for thy mercy and thy
truth shake. In Christ's name I pray, amen,
amen. ? He's the savior of my soul ?
Jesus, my Jesus He's the Savior of my soul. He's the Savior of my soul. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. He's the Savior of my soul. He's the Savior of my soul. See you Wednesday, God willing.
