We'll talk a little bit about
Christ before Pilate, and I'll probably bring another message
on it next week. But it says here in verse 28,
Then led they Caiaphas, then led they Jesus from Caiaphas
unto the hall of judgment. And it was early, and they themselves
went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled,
but that they might eat the Passover. Now Caiaphas is mentioned four
times in this particular chapter. But absolutely nothing is said
in John's gospel about our Lord Jesus appearing before Caiaphas. Nothing said about him appearing
before Caiaphas. There's two high priests, remember
they took him before Annas. Then Annas sent him to Caiaphas. Two high priests. Annas was the
Jewish ceremonial priest. And Caiaphas was the one appointed
by the Romans. He was the legal one, the one
that they dealt with. And the examination of our Lord
Jesus Christ before these two priests was just a farce. It
was a farce. He had already been sent to death
before he had ever even been apprehended. They began to figure
out a way to kill him long before they ever apprehended him. And
they figured out how they could put him to death, but they feared
the people. That's why they came and got him late at night. And
these men were supposed to be holy men. They were supposed
to be able to judge righteously. But oh, how perverted was their
judgment. I want you to turn with me now
to Matthew chapter 20 6 and we're going to look at how
Caiaphas, our Lord Jesus Christ, was before Caiaphas. Let's look
at this just for a little while and see what it says over here.
Matthew 26 and verse 57. Oh, these were the most religious
people on the earth were these Pharisees, these scribes. But
oh my, what amazing contrast there is between our Lord Jesus
Christ and these people. It said here in verse 57, and
they that laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the
high priest where the scribes and the elders were assembled. Now let me tell you just a few
contrasts before I get into this. Here is the friend of sinners,
the friend of sinners shackled by chains shackled by chains
the judge of all the earth the judge of all the earth brought
before a fallen son of Adam to be judged the Lord of glory treated
treated as a criminal doomed to die The Holy One, the Lord
Jesus Christ Himself, sinless, holy, harmless, undefiled, higher
than the heavens itself. The Holy One condemned as a blasphemer. They hired liars to come to bear
witness against He who is absolute truth. He who is the resurrection
and the life is soon to die. Why did they do this to him?
Let's look. And they that laid hold on Jesus,
verse 57, led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes
and elders were ascended. Who did this to him? The scribes,
it says the scribes and the elders were ascended. But Peter followed
him afar off into the high priest's palace and went in and sat with
the servants to see the end, to see what's going to happen
here at the end of this. And these are the people that
did this to our Lord Jesus Christ. The chief priests and elders
and all the council. And all the council. This is
the 70. the Sanhedrin the first time
they ever chose 70 was when Moses day when Moses chose 70 elders
out of Israel to help him judge Israel and that's where the Sanhedrin
come from and once they got power they ain't going to relinquish
that power and they'll abuse that power power if you got power
oh how you can abuse that power and these men did here they were
they were all assembled together got all together And they sought,
look here what it says now in verse 59. Now the chief priests and all
the council sought, listen to this now, sought false witnesses
against Jesus. They know they couldn't find
somebody to stand up and tell the truth about Him. So they're
going to have to find somebody to lie about Him. And that's
why they went out here and started looking for people to be false
witnesses. And that's what it says. It says
they went to seek false witnesses against the Lord Jesus Christ.
And to seek witnesses, that's a good thing. If you get the
right kind of witnesses. But they sought false witnesses.
You see, they didn't want to be the ones to execute the death
penalty. So what they had to do was have
a charge against Him before they ever brought Him to Pilate. So
they've got these, they've been out looking for false witnesses.
Anybody here got anything to say about this man? Anybody here
heard something, say something that they can accuse him of?
Is there anybody in this crowd, anybody we can find around Israel
that got something to say against this man? They could have called
lots of people that have been true witnesses. Peter could have
stood up and said, listen, I'm a true witness, but he didn't.
That other disciple that was there, he could have stood up
and said, I'll be a good witness. I'll tell the truth about it.
And there's multitudes and multitudes that could have bore witness
to his works. Oh, the works that our Lord Jesus
Christ did. Oh, the miracles that he performed.
He healed 10 lepers at one time. A man that was born blind and
gave him sight never happened in this world before. A man, three people dead and
our Lord Jesus spoke the word and all three of them came back
to life. Oh, Lincoln would have followed
witness after witness after witness after witness. I would have hopefully
have been a witness to him. But I probably wouldn't in those
days. Probably been just like everybody else. But oh my even
some of their own Could witness to his words when they sent him
to take him one time and they said why didn't you bring him?
Never man spake like this man And they said you deceived too
But oh look what it says and they sought the false witnesses
against jesus to put him to death and verse 66 but they found none didn't find any. We're looking
and could not find one. Oh, yea, though many false witnesses
came, yet they found none. And listen, at last, at last,
they come, two showed up, two showed up, And there's two of
them out of all the people. Lots of false witnesses came,
yet they found none. They could not get them to say
something that would be wrong against this man. But they finally
found two. Two. And that's all the law requires
is two witnesses. At the mouth of two or three
witnesses, every word should be established. And that's the
minimum required by law. But look what they said about
our Savior. And this is what they said about him. This fella. This fella. That's all he was
to them. Just another fella. Just another
fella. You remember that fella? We call
them fellers. You remember that fella? And
that's what they said. That fella. That fella. This is what he said. He said,
I'm able to destroy this temple, the temple of God, and to build
it in three days. That's what they said. He said,
they looked at the temple one day and they had our Lord Jesus
Christ. They asked him about the temple,
how great it was. He said, oh listen, beautiful
temple. John 2, 18, you can look at it
yourself. It's a beautiful temple here. But he said, destroy this
temple. And he didn't say, I'll rebuild
it. He said, I'll raise it up again. And he spake of his own
body. We should die. We should be buried. And that's what he was talking
about. But they found these fellows to say, he looked at that building
and said that he was going to tear it down and build it all
back by himself in three days. Oh, what a lie they said against
our Lord. Then look what it says now in
verse 62. And the high priest arose and
said unto him, Answers thou nothing? Answers thou nothing? What is it which these witness
against thee? Is this true? What are you going
to say about it? You going to stand up for yourself?
You going to defend yourself? You going to argue with them?
But listen, Jesus held his peace. Held his peace. And the high
priest, oh listen to this now. And the high priest said unto
him, I adjure thee by the living God. What he said is let God
be witness between me and you. That's what he said, let God
be witness between me and you and this truth or this thing
that's been said against you. I adjure thee by the living God
that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Huh? Oh, let God be witness between
me. He called God to be a witness
here. But oh, listen to what our Savior told him. He surely didn't want to hear
this. He surely didn't want to hear this. And our Lord said
unto him, You said, You said, You said, Whether I be the Christ, the
Son of God. Nevertheless, I say unto you, I'm going to tell you
what's really going to happen. This is what's going to happen.
He said, Hereafter, You shall see the Son of Man sitting. Sitting. I'm standing before you now.
I'm standing here to be judged, but the next time you see me,
I'll be sitting. I may be standing here before
you now, but I'll be sitting when this thing's all said and
done. And then not only am I going to be sitting, but I'm going
to be sitting on the right hand of power. On the right hand of
majesty. On the right hand of glory. I'm
going to have all power when I sit right there. Because you
know I'll be sitting beside the Father and then the person. They
say that's my right hand man. That's my right hand. That's
my glory. That's my king. That's my son.
And I've got him a special place preserved at my right hand sitting. Not standing here in the appearance
of weakness, crucified in weakness, but raised in power. Oh, he looks
so weak before all these people. But oh, beloved, he said, I still
am standing here before you in the appearance of weakness. And
then look what else he says now. And hereafter you shall see the
Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power. And listen to
this. And I'll be coming back in clouds of glory. I'm standing here now. But I
tell you what, I'm not going to always stand here. I'm going
to be sitting. I'm going to be sitting on the
right hand of power. And then I'm coming back in clouds of
glory. And all the redeemed of the Lord
Jesus Christ and all the worth will see Him. And we'll join
Him in there and forever be with the Lord. Oh, He'll be coming
in clouds. He won't be hanging on a cross.
And then look what old Caiaphas did. Then the high priest read
his clothes. Oh my, that hurt him so bad. Oh, that's his official robes. And instead of stripping him
off before the majesty of God's glorious, glorious King and all
the majesty that he is in the presence of. And then look what
he says here now. He has spoken blasphemy. Spoken
blasphemy. Oh my. He says he's going to
sit on the right hand of God. Says he's going to sit down in
glory and come in glory and in power. And he said he has spoken
blasphemy. What further need have we of
witnesses? We don't need no more witnesses. We're out of his own
mouth. Behold now we have heard his blasphemy. Now this is what
a question he asked. And our Lord asked this same
question one time. He said, what thank ye? What
thank ye? He asked all that 70 people,
all the crowd gathered, the chief priests and all the elders and
all the scribes and everybody that was anybody. He looked around
and said, what thank ye? What do you think about this
situation now? Our Lord Jesus Christ, He said one time, what
thank ye? And you know what He said, what thank ye? What think
ye of Christ? What think ye of Christ? And
then old Caiaphas, he says, what think ye? What think ye? Oh, and you know what every one
of them answered? Every single one of them said, he's guilty
of death. Guilty of death. Guilty of death. Now look down here at verse 27,
verse 1. When the morning was coming,
daylight was coming around. Getting morning. When morning
was coming, they'd been up all night. Mistreating our Lord Jesus Christ. Doing all the things that their
wicked hands could possibly think to do. When the morning was come,
all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against
Jesus to put him to death. They held a council and said,
well, who all says he's guilty? Hands went up everywhere. You know, this is the jury. We've
heard the evidence. We've heard the crime. We've
heard the blasphemy. Everybody that says he's guilty,
Let's kill him. Hands went up. Let's do it, let's
do it. I'll tell you what, let's get
rid of him. Get rid of him. And then, oh listen, and then,
and when they had bound him, they led him away and delivered
him to Pontius Pilate, the governor. Now, turn back over here to John
18. Turn back to John 18, if you will. This morning they all took counsel,
they bound him. Then led him away to Pilate the
governor. Now verse 28. Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas
unto the hall of judgment. Then after supposedly the holiest,
the best, the most honest, the most God-fearing men of that
day had went through the semblance of a trial. And look what it
says, they led the Lord Jesus. Everywhere you find it, after
they took him out of the garden, it says they led him. They led
him. You know why they led him? Because our Lord Jesus Christ
said he would be led as a lamb to the slaughter. He never once
resisted. He never once pulled back. He
never once said listen this is the wrong thing to do. Never
once. They just got him by the arm, had him bound, had him bound. And they just get him by the
arm and leave him alone. Or else they had a rope or something
on him or a chain on his hands and they just pulled him along.
And our Lord Jesus Christ just went right along with them. Oh,
they led him. He's still unresisting. And then
they brought him to the hall of judgment. The hall of judgment. You know, Beloved men, men still
sit in judgment on the Lord Jesus Christ. Men still sit in judgment
on Christ. I told you, I think I told you
this last week. We passed a little old building
on our way out of the house. It's got a sign on it that says,
listen, He can heal your heart, just don't break His. They're setting in judgment on
Christ. Oh, men still set in judgment on Christ. They set
in judgment on what He did. They set in judgment on what
He did. They set in judgment on who He is. Oh, He's a great
prophet. He's a great teacher. He's a
good moral leader. We all ought to follow the Golden
Rule. We all ought to do the Sermon
on the Mount. We all ought to treat one another
like He treated people. But oh, when you get right down
to it, either He is the Christ, the Eternal Son of God, or He's
nobody. And if you or anybody else thinks
that He will ever cry in His heart because you break it, Cause
him to break, break his heart. What a blasphemous, they talk
about Christ being blasphemous. What about preachers being blasphemous? What about men and women setting
in judgment on the Lord Jesus Christ? Setting in judgment on
God? Well, God loves everybody. You're
saying you know more about what God does than God does? You're
going to be the patron of the earth that strides with the King
of Glory? Did he never read, did they never
read in the Bible where it says he's the potter and we're the
clay? That he can take out the same
lump and make one a vessel of honor, another a vessel of dishonor? Did they never read that? Did
they never read where he said, oh listen, He told John, John
go and tell them this, all flesh is grass. And the glory of man
has the flower of the field and it just fades away. But I tell you what, and then
he'd go to them and say, thy God reigneth. Thy God reigneth. Oh, men still set in judgment
on Christ. On who he is. This Christmas
is coming up. Christmas will be around the
corner. And they're already, they have
these living manger scenes where they have men and women dressed
up and a real live baby and they have real live animals there and they have all
this rigamarole and they'll put Jesus back in a manger. When he just told that man, I
said, next time you see me, I'll be sitting in power. on the right hand of power. I
ain't going back to them, ain't you? And then next Easter they'll
put him back on a cross. Oh, they sent in judgment on
the Lord Jesus Christ in their minds, in their hearts, and in
their consciences. But look what it says about these
awful, awful wicked men. And they went themselves, in
the middle of this verse, it was early, and they went themselves
not into the judgment hall. Why didn't they go in? Lest they
should be defiled. It don't defile them to get false
witnesses. It don't defile them to tell
lies. It don't defile them to lie on Christ. It don't defile
them to slap Christ. It don't defile them to spit
on Him. It don't defile them to buffet
Him. It don't defile them to counsel
to put Him to death. But we can't go in that judgment
hall. We're too holy. We're too clean. And if we set
foot in that judgment hall, we'd be defiled. We can't go where
Gentiles go. Do you remember when Simon Peter
was going to send him over to Cornelius' house? And our Lord had to give him
three times, had to let a sheet come down and said, don't you
ever call what I've cleansed common or unclean. And he finally
understood and he went and preached to Cornelius the Gentile. And
all the Jews got upset about that. But oh, listen, they said,
well, we wouldn't be able to eat the Passover. The Passover
represents our Lord Jesus Christ. The lamb slain, the blood put
on the door, so God would pass over. God would pass over. Every firstborn in that Egypt
was going to die that night. But God's elect, God's people,
God's chosen people, they died in a substitute. They died in
that lamb and the blood put over that door. that they didn't know we got
eaten to pieces. Oh listen, they'd be unclean. But here's the thing,
they didn't mind. They didn't mind using a Gentile
to carry out their wicked designs. And I'll tell you, it's a worthless,
worthless religion that affects the head and don't change the
heart. And I don't care what kind it is. I don't care if it
affects the head and don't change the heart. Then it ain't worth
having. And I tell you, if a man can
believe two gospels, he ain't got no gospel. Ain't that right? If you can believe two, you ain't
got any. If you can believe a gospel that
doesn't change your heart and doesn't change your will, And
does it change your mind? And does it change how you view
God? Does it change how you view yourself?
Does it change how you view sin? Then you, listen, you don't even
have a gospel. The gospel, the thing that God
does is He gives a new heart. He gives a new will. He gives
new affections. He gives new understanding. He
makes a man a new creature in Christ. And these men, they had religion. They had it up to their eyeballs.
I remember I first met Scott one time. We was in a meeting.
And oh my goodness, preacher after preacher after preacher.
We went outside for a little break. Scott walked up and he
said, I've had enough religion up to here. He said, I've had enough to hear. He just wore out with it. You know, and I understood exactly
what he meant. I pretty wore out myself. You
know, you can only hear so much, but our Lord's testimony, you
know what our Lord said about these Pharisees and these scribes?
You keep John 18, look over here in Matthew 23. Look what our
Lord said about these men. Oh my. These men perpetrated
the murder of a sinless, holy son of God. A man who knew that he had done
nothing worthy of death. But they crucified the Lord of
Glory out of hatred, malice, jealousy, and yet they want to
talk about being defiled. Being defiled. Look what our
Lord said here in verse 27, Matthew 23, 27. Woe unto you, scribes
and Pharisees, hypocrites. You see that exclamation point?
Our Lord let them know. And look what he said, for you
are like unto a white as sepulchers. Go out to a graveyard and you
got these great big, beautiful stones and they got them in statues
and got them all stacked up and got names on them and all that
and got carvings on them and all this stuff and beautiful,
beautiful things. Beautiful and they look at us
and boy what beautiful beautiful graves what beautiful stones
what beautiful? Monuments, they've got here for
this person. I Said that's what I said you'd
like a lot like what it said because Which indeed appear beautiful
outward all that stone looks if you ever went bought a stone
for anybody You want a good one And you want
it inscribed just so. And you want it put just a certain
way. So that when you walk up there,
you'll recognize immediately who it is and when they was born,
when they died. You know, we go to great lengths
to do these things. Great expense to do these things.
So when we walk up we forget about the person under the ground.
We forget about the person in the gasket. Oh, we're just looking
at the monument. That's what our Lord said, that's
what you look like. Bunch of monuments. But she said, I know
what you are under the ground. You're full of dead men's bones
and all kinds of rottenness and corruption. and uncleanness. And listen to this, even so,
you outwardly, oh boy, when people look at you and they see you
praying and wearing your robes and got your hair done up in
buns and wearing dresses down to your ankles and wearing big
broad hats and long beards, he said, oh listen, you indeed appear
outwardly righteous unto men, but I tell you, at the end you're
full of hypocrisy and deceit. Oh my goodness. Yeah, that's
what he said again. And then Pilate, look what he
says down here in verse 29. Then Pilate, he responds to these
people. He responds to them. Then Pilate then went out unto
them. Who did he go out to? Them, the
whole Sanhedrin, all the people that judged our Lord Jesus Christ,
and then the great crowd that was there, and then a great crowd
followed them up to the judgment hall. Large crowds gathered up
there. Pilate went out to face the 70,
face this large crowd, and here's the first thing he asked them.
What accusation bring you against this man? What's his crime? What's his crime? That's what
he's saying. You brought this man to the judgment
hall for me to judge him. For me to judge this man. What
accusation have you got? You didn't tell me what he had
done. You just dropped him off here.
You just let him here and brought him in and let some of these
Gentiles bring him in and yet I don't know what in the world
you brought him for. What has he done? What's the
accusation you've got against him? What does this mean? When you
go and bring a person before a judge, and even in this country,
in any place, if they bring you before a judge, they've got some
kind of a crime charged against you. The judge is going to say,
what have you brought him here for? He can write down on his
paper and say, well, this fella stole something. This fella robbed
something. This fella got drunk and we got
him on DUI. We've got something against him. But he said, what in the world
is wrong with this man? What accusation you got against
this man? You didn't tell him anything.
You just dropped him off here. He didn't yet know what they
wanted. They didn't know. He didn't know yet that they
wanted him dead. Didn't know why they even brought
him. That's why he went out there and said, well, listen, you brought
this man before me to judge him. I don't know what he's done.
And under Roman law, and you see this ain't the way it is,
it's supposed to be here. Again, under Roman law, three
things have to happen. You have to have a specific indictment. You have to say this man committed
this particular crime. And the second thing is you're
allowed to bring the accusers, the one that accused you, before
the accused. You're allowed to face them that
accuse you. You're allowed to face those
that accuse you. You're allowed to face your accusers.
That's the same way in this country. You're allowed to face them that
accuse you and say, now where did you get this witness at?
And then the third thing is the liberty for the accused to answer
for himself. The one who is accused has the
right to stand up and defend himself and speak for himself.
And that's what Paul did when Felix said, now Paul, he kept
Paul in jail for a long time. And they brought an orator down,
and you know, and he says, now, Paul, you can speak. And I love
what he said. I, listen, I thank myself happy. that I can now speak for myself
and tell you and he began to preach the gospel to them oh
my and then their hypocrisy look what an awful thing they said
they answered him in verse 30 and said unto him they answered
and said unto him if he were not a malfactor would
we not have delivered him up to thee Oh, what hypocrisy here. They didn't have no charge against
him. They didn't have a charge against him. But don't listen. But Pilate, take our word for
it. That's what they're saying. Pilate, take our word for it.
He's an evil man. That's what a malefactor means.
An evil man. We're righteous men. You know
our reputation. Would we arrest an innocent man
and bring him here? That's what they're saying here. Pilate, take our word for it.
We're righteous men. We're holy men. Huh? Look who it is that brought him
here, the sacred Sanhedrin. Oh, listen, that's the most,
the best of the best is the one that brought him here. You don't
think we'd bring somebody to you that wasn't evil, did you?
Or wasn't mean? Oh, they just couldn't, that
pilot offended them by asking them. It hurt their feelings.
Don't you know who we are? We wouldn't have brought this
man up here if he hadn't been a malfactor. And this is what
Pilate said to him. Then said Pilate unto them, you
take him, you take him and judge him according to your law. Take him and judge him according
to your law. Not the Roman law. You take him and you judge him.
Don't let me do it. Don't leave it up to me. Pilate
didn't care a whip for justice. He didn't want to be bothered
with the Jews. And yet at the same time he didn't
want to displease them. So you take him and you judge
him after your law. But listen to what they said.
The Jews therefore said unto him, It's not lawful for us to
put any man to death. Now they flat lied right there.
They lied right there. In fact they tried to kill Christ
three or four times before they ever got to it. You remember
in Luke chapter 4? First message he ever preached
when he entered his ministry. They sat there and just wondered
at his gracious words. And before he was done, they
took him out to the brow of a hill and was going to throw him off
the brow of the hill because they were so angry at him. And twice they picked up stones
to stone him. And he said, for what good work
do you stone me? He said, we're not going to stone
you for a good work. Oh, no, no. We're going to stone
you because you being a man, make yourself to be God. They picked up stones to stone
him twice. So they just, all of them just lie. And they've
been trying to figure out a way to kill him for a long time. And oh, they wanted the Romans
to execute him. But I tell you what, there's
a higher power behind the Satan doing every bit of this. Oh,
listen. against thy holy child Jesus
has the Gentiles and the Jews and the whole world and all the
high and the mighty against your holy child and they gather together to put him to death God which
you foreordained which you predestinated to happen and the higher powers
overruling this thing now Pilate knew why they brought him now
They said it's not lawful for us to put any man to death. When
they said put him to death, that's what they understood then. They
said you want me to put him to death. That's what you want.
And he understood it clearly now. But listen to what he says
now. And then I'm going to close. And he said to put any man to
death and our Lord that this is what was said about it. That
the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which he spake. He
mentioned this so many times, signifying what death he should
die. He ain't going to be stoned to death. Not going to be stoned
to death. Not going to be thrown off of
a hill. Our Lord Jesus told us exactly
how he's going to die. He says, as Moses lifted up the
serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted
up. And he told him over there, he
said, I must go up to Jerusalem, be delivered into the hands of
sinful men, crucified and die and rise again. And he told him, he said, oh, listen,
I've got to be lifted up. I've got to be crucified. There's
only one way in the world that I can die. And it's not going
to be, but anything on its way. Because God said, cursed is he
that hangeth on a tree. And Christ bore our curse to
redeem us out from under the curse of the law. And our Lord
Jesus Christ, bless His name, that He went, that He went, led
to it, led to it. He wasn't going to be stoned.
He signified what death he should die. Remember when Simon Peter,
he told Peter in Matthew 16. He just got through telling Peter
how blessed he was. That God had revealed to him
who Christ was, the Son of God. Thou art truly the Son of God.
And then our Lord went on and told him. He said, you know,
the hour is coming. when I shall be delivered hand
to the hands of sinful man and that I should die that I
should die that I should be crucified that I should rise up again the
third day Simon Peter the scripture says took him and rebuked him and said be it far from thee
Lord that this should happen unto thee I tell you what, if
it hadn't happened. Here's the thing. If God could
have saved a man any other way than through the death of the
Lord Jesus Christ, do you understand what that means about God's wisdom?
God's power? God's glory? If he could have
saved a man any other way than through the death of the Lord
Jesus Christ, then what kind of a God do we got that would
have crucified his own son? You think about that. If righteousness comes by law,
by anything we do, then Christ is dead in vain. But oh, the wisdom and power
of God in the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. The wisdom of letting
someone else, a holy, sinless, spotless man, take all the sin
of all his elect upon himself and then for the father to judge
him and pour out his wrath on him and cause him to die but everyone for whom he died
with their sin on him Christ went to the grave And just like
that scapegoat that they laid the hands on the sins of Israel
on it and sent it out into the wilderness by a fit man, our
Lord went into the grave. And when he come out, it's done. It's finished. God
will never ever, ever, ever judge one man for whom Christ died
for his sins. Not one. You know why? Christ
done born. What a gospel! What a gospel! What do we contribute
to this thing? Only thing we brought was sin.
The only thing Christ put it away. God don't even remember
it. Oh, listen. That's why we so
long to go home. Because we don't fear death.
Because death ushers us into the presence of our Lord. And
there will be no judgment, no condemnation, just nothing but
welcome. Come, you servants of the Lord.
Enter into the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of
the world. Wouldn't you love to just take
off right now? Oh, this gospel. Oh, what a gospel. You're talking about peace of
heart, peace of conscience, peace of soul. Oh, our Father. Oh, blessed Father. Bless your holy name. Oh, how
glorious. How precious. How blessed. And Lord, you've blessed us.
Oh, you've blessed us so. To see this glorious Savior. To see His glorious work. To
see His blessed death. And His satisfaction. And all
our sins being taken away. They're all taken away. Lord,
we thank you. And oh, Father, Father, Father, we're ready. We're ready when
you're ready. But oh Lord, one of these days,
by your precious grace, this life and all that's involved
in it, that's such a burden at times, that we feel so defiled
in it, feel so unclean in it, have to live here. One of these
days, O Lord Jesus, you'll come. You'll come. And Lord, we're
waiting and we're looking. And Lord, for those who don't
know you, open their hearts. Make them see the Lord Jesus
Christ. If they ever see Him, they will
embrace Him. They'll come to Him. Amen. Amen. Did you hear what Jesus said? taken away, away. Your sins are pardoned and you
are free. They're all taken away. They're all taken away, away. They're all taken away, away. My sins are all taken away. My sins are all taken away. My sins are all taken away. Gone. See you tonight, God willing.
