Morning, Gabe. Let's open this morning's service
with hymn number 22 from our Spiral Gospel Hymns hymn book,
number 22, For the Glory of His Grace. Let's all stand together. We were ruined by the fall. Adam's sin defiles us all. By our deed as by our birth,
we deserve the law's great curse. Helpless, hopeless sinners we,
never can our souls retrieve. But the blessed Son of God came
as man in flesh and blood. He fulfilled the law's demands
and in death stretched out his hands. On the cross of Calvary,
Christ redeemed and set us free. In the time which God had set,
the Spirit came for His elect to regenerate and call from the
ruin of the fall. By His power and by His grace,
we were born for God's own praise. ? Now your purpose we fulfill
? ? Saved according to your will ? ? Sing this song of joyful
praise ? ? For the glory of your grace ? ? Blessed holy triune
God ? ? Hear our praise through Christ our Lord ? Please be seated. Good morning. And it came to pass. That day we've been waiting for
for. Long time now can't remember
when we got started on this project is has come to pass and right
on time. So I guess everybody's seen the
work that's being done out here on their property and. They were
actually going to start the block yesterday, but because of the
rain, had to put it off. So hopefully by next Sunday,
we'll see some block up and plumbing down and concrete slab and all
those things. So we're very, very thankful. Some of you don't know Armida,
Reynaldo's mother, because she's not been able to attend services
here for some time. But Armida is going to be 95
tomorrow. So if you do know her, get a
chance to go by, encourage her. I know that would be a blessing
to her. Let's go to the Lord and ask
his blessings on our time together. Our gracious and merciful Heavenly
Father. We're so very thankful that you've
once again blessed us with the opportunity to gather in this
place. You've called us out by your spirit. You've promised
your presence. You've given us your word. You
are the one who give us faith through your spirit and how very
hopeful we are that we would that we would experience the
power of your spirit this morning, enabling us to speak of thy dear
son and to hear his voice. Lord, that you would teach us,
that you would grow us in your grace, that you would call us
out once again, that you would deliver us from our sin. Lord,
that you would Open the eyes of our understanding and we know
that these are all your works of grace. Lord, we confess to
you our dependence upon you to do that for us. We pray for our children in particular
and for our young people and. Grandchildren and Lord, we ask
that you would be merciful to their hearts and their souls
and. She would cause them to believe
on Christ. Lord, increase our faith. Thank
you for the. For the beginning of this new
building and we pray your blessings on on its completion. Or that
we might have a place to. To worship you and to fellowship
together. Pray for Amita. We ask, Lord,
that you would draw her heart near to you and, Lord, bless
her with your presence. We ask it in Christ's name. Amen. I've titled this message, The
Witness of the Spirit of God. The Witness of the Spirit of
God. we're going to be in Acts chapter 1 if you'd like to turn
with me there in your Bible. In religion there is a spirit
behind much of the foolishness that is done in the name of the
Holy Ghost. The problem is it's not the Holy
Spirit. And I I hope this morning that
the Lord will enable us to see and to believe what he has told
us about the Holy Ghost, about the Holy Spirit. and that we
would not in any way feel slighted by those who profess to have
the Spirit of God through some outward demonstration that has
nothing to do with the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God has
come in order to testify of Christ. If we believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ, it is because the Holy Spirit gave us that faith. He's the one who regenerates
the heart. He's the one who opens the eyes
of our understanding. He's the one who draws us to
Christ and points us to Christ and enables us to rely upon the
Lord Jesus Christ. We're going to see that from
the scriptures. He is the witness of Christ and he never draws
attention to himself. Those people who are who are
constantly consumed with and pretending to demonstrate the
power of the Spirit of God in focusing their attention on the
Holy Spirit, that very fact gives evidence of the truth that the
Spirit of God has nothing to do with what they're doing. Nothing
to do with it. And as I said, there is a spirit
involved in that, but it's not the Holy Spirit. There are thousands of promises
in God's word for the child of God. And we know that our God
is faithful to all of his promises. Our God cannot lie, and he has
fulfilled all his promises in Christ. All the promises of God,
the scripture says, are yea and amen in Christ. The Lord Jesus
Christ came in order to fulfill the promises of the Father. All
those promises that God gives us, there's only one called the
promise of the Father. The promise of the Father. And
we find it in our text this morning in Acts chapter 1, look at verse
4. And being assembled together with them, Now, that's the Lord
Jesus Christ is meeting with his disciples. In the margin
of my Bible, the translation of assembled together is to partake
in a meal together. How appropriate. The Lord Jesus
Christ in a resurrected body is sitting with his disciples
and partaking of food, of a meal. And the spiritual Application
of that is that every time he meets with us, he breaks bread
with us. He breaks the bread of life.
He feeds our souls with his word. And so he's assembled together
with them. Where two or three are gathered
together, there I am in the midst of them. This is not to be seen
as some experience that other believers had that we have no
part in. I love that passage where Peter
speaks of his experience on the Mount of Transfiguration. And
he says, we did not bring to you cunningly devised fables. We didn't make this up. We handled
the word of truth. And when we were on the mountain,
we saw his glory. When the veil of his humanity
was taken away, we saw the radiance as the noonday sun of the son
of God. And we heard, audibly heard the
voice of God speaking from heaven saying, this is my beloved son
in whom I'm well pleased. Now that is a mountaintop experience
that Peter had. And then he goes on to say, but.
we have a more sure word of testimony or prophecy. for the Word of
God. What he's saying to us is that
we have something more sure and more certain than that experience
that we had on the Mount of Transfiguration. We have the revelation. Remember
what the Lord said to Thomas? Thomas, it's good that you believe
because you've seen, but blessed are those who have not seen,
yet they believe. So this experience that we have
with the Spirit of God comes when the Spirit of God makes
the Word of God alive and effectual and causes us to see the glory
of the Lord Jesus Christ and to rest all our hope on him. Child of God, don't feel slighted
by those who are pretending to have some supernatural power
in their life because they speak in tongues or they pretend to
be slain in the spirit or they've got an evil spirit. And don't
feel slighted either. by the experience that the apostles
had, even on this day of the day of Pentecost, when the spirit
of God came in power, for the same spirit is with us, the same
spirit. And he speaks to us by his word. And the Lord has said to his
children, if you being evil know how to give good gifts unto your
children, how much more will your heavenly father give the
Holy Ghost to them who ask him? Lord send your spirit send your
spirit in power and don't let me be don't let me be deceived
by some false spirit. Open the eyes of my understanding
and cause me to cast all my care upon the one who cares for me
because that's the ministry of the Holy Spirit. And when he
ministers grace to our hearts and when he reveals Christ to
us, he gives us hope. He gives us peace. He's called
the comforter. The comforter. He comes along
beside us and he speak comfort to our hearts, revealing to us
the successful work of the Lord Jesus Christ in having put away
our sin once and for all. by the sacrifice of himself.
That's the work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third
person of the triune Godhead. God the Father, the scripture
teaches us, is the one that chose us. In Christ, before the foundation
of the world, according to his own will and purpose, in the
covenant of grace, God the Father decided who he would have mercy
on and who he would harden. God the Son came in the flesh
and fulfilled all the requirements for the salvation of God's elect.
He satisfied all the demands of the law, was obedient unto
the Father, even unto death. And he bowed his mighty head
on Calvary's cross and said, it is finished. Everything that
my father required for the atoning work of his people was
accomplished through the work that Christ did on Calvary's
cross. Redemption. redemption was satisfied. And God the Holy Spirit now is
the one who makes God's people, all those whom God chose, all
those for whom Christ died. It is God the Holy Spirit who
comes in power and makes us willing. He's the one who speaks truth
to our hearts. And being assembled together
with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem
but wait for the promise of the father which saith he you have
heard of me. Now the Lord Jesus time and time
again reminded his disciples of the one who would come in
fulfillment of the promise of the father. but that he had to
depart. He said, it's expedient for you. It is necessary for you that
I go away for if I go not away, the comforter will not come. And now he's in the last moments
here on earth with his disciples before his ascension into glory.
And he says to his disciples, you go back to Jerusalem and
you wait, you wait. Now, Pentecost was 50 days after
Passover. That's why it's called Pentecost.
And the Lord Jesus remained appearing to his disciples for 40 days
after his resurrection. Okay. So now 10 days before Pentecost,
He's about to ascend back into glory and take his rightful place
at the right hand of the majesty on high. And he says to his disciples,
you go back to Jerusalem and you wait. And so they gathered
together and they waited for about 10 days. They waited for
the coming of Christ over the coming of the, of the spirit
of God. Actually, well, let's, let's
look at, let's look at John chapter 14. John chapter 14. He says, you've, you've heard
of me. You've, you've, you remember
I told you these things. John chapter 14. Verse 16. And I will pray the father and
he shall give you another comforter. I've been your comforter. I've
been here by your side, speaking to you, revealing to you the
glory of God. There's another comforter coming.
I'm going to depart and you'll see me no more, but the comforter
will come and he will remind you of the things that I've spoken
to you of. and he will lead you to me. I
will pray to the father and he, the father, shall give you another
comforter that he may abide with you forever. Forever. You see, when the Lord,
you know, I said a moment ago, don't feel slighted by what the
disciples experienced in the physical presence of the Lord
Jesus Christ. The Lord has made it clear that
what we have is better than that. I mean, you think what would
it be like to stand in the physical presence of the son of God? And
yet we see through eyes of faith. We don't walk by sight. We walk
by faith. And when God gives you faith
to look upon the Lord Jesus Christ by the ministry of the Holy spirit,
you don't have to be like, like Mary clinging to him at the tomb. fearful that he might depart
from you again. Mary, what'd the Lord say? Mary, don't cling to me. I'm
not yet ascended to my father. When I send to my father, I'm
gonna send the comforter and he'll be in you and you'll have
my presence with you always. so that you wake up at three
o'clock in the morning and you're disturbed about something. You've
got the promise of God that Christ is there and that the spirit
of God will lead you to him. Verse 17, even the spirit of
truth will lead you to him. whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him, but you know him,
for he dwells with you and shall be in you." The world knows nothing
about the Spirit of God. They have no interest in Christ. The Lord said, they've hated
me without a cause, but you've loved me. You've loved me. And why have we loved him? Because
the spirit of God has revealed to us his glory, his accomplished
work, his beauty, our need for him and our dependence upon him
and our hope in him, our righteousness and all our justification. These
things are revealed to us through God's word by the spirit of God. And he's called here the spirit
of truth. The spirit of truth will reveal
to you all the truth about who God is, about how it is that
he works out salvation for his people. He reveals to us the
truth about ourselves. The world's not interested in
truth. They're only interested in truth if it serves themselves.
I mean, just watch the political debates. Nobody really wants
to know the truth. You ever served on a jury in
a court of law? Truth is not the purpose of the
court. Winning is the purpose of the
court. And both sides will do whatever they can do to keep
the truth out of the hearing of the jury in order to be able
to win their case. It's not about truth, it's about
winning. And that's the way the world is. The child of God's
the only one. Lord, I want to know the truth.
I want to know the truth about who you are, whatever it means,
whatever it's going to cost me, whatever I've got to jettison
out of my life. I want to know the truth. What Pilate say? Truth. Truth. Is that what this is all about?
Don't you know, there's no such thing as truth. Everything's
relative. Everybody's got their own truth.
You hear people talk like that, don't you? And the Lord said,
for this cause was I born and for this reason came I into the
world to bear witness unto the truth. They that are of the truth
hear my voice and they follow me. There's a distinguishing
difference between God's people. Lord, I want to know the truth.
I want to know the truth, whatever it means in terms of what I've
got to get rid of in terms of my opinions, Lord, I want to
know the truth. And the Lord said, he's the spirit
of truth. You're not going to know the
truth apart from the spirit of God. He's the one that has to
reveal the truth. Look at verse 26 in that same
chapter. But the comforter, you know this, this word means one
who comes along beside. It's a term that you, speaking
of a court of law, it's a term that's used for an attorney in
a court of law. It's called a paraclete. It's
one that stands in your stead and defends your case to the
judge on your behalf. And so he's called the Comforter. He'll come alongside and he'll
speak on your behalf. But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach
you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever
I've said to you. Now the disciples in Acts chapter
one are still confused about some things. That's evident in
what they asked the Lord right before you send it into glory.
What did they say? Lord, is it time now for you
to set up your kingdom? Are you going to now restore
the throne of David? Are you going to now take Israel
and make them the top dog in the world? We're going to be
the ruling nation instead of those Romans. Is it time now
for you to do that? See, they still didn't know what
the Lord said to Pilate. They didn't understand. My kingdom's
not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world,
my disciples would fight. But it's not, it's a spiritual
kingdom. And they came to see that when
the Spirit of God came on the day of Pentecost. The Lord said
to Comfrey, he's going to teach you and remind you of the things
that I have said. Lord, if you don't give me your
spirit, I won't, I won't understand the things of God. I won't come
to believe and to see the truth. That's what the Lord said to
Nicodemus, Nicodemus. You cannot see the kingdom of
God, unless what, unless you're born of the spirit. You've got
to have the spirit of God. And if you have not the spirit
of God, you're not a bond. You there in the book of John,
look over just a page to John chapter 15. Verse 26, and when the comforter
is come, the Lord speaking of that day of Pentecost, when they're
going to be baptized, immersed in the spirit of God and And
they're going to be enabled by the spirit of God to, to see
the truth about Christ and to declare it. They're going to
have the witness of the spirit in their heart to preach the
gospel. That's what the, that's what
the baptism of the Holy spirit is all about. You see Bill, they
couldn't preach the gospel. They're huddled together for
10 days up in the upper room. They saw the resurrection. The
Lord spent 40 days with them explaining to them what had happened.
They knew the scriptures, but they still weren't equipped to
preach the gospel to the world. Why? Because the spirit comforter
had not yet come in that power. But when the comforters come,
whom I will send you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth,
which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me." How
do I know if I have the Holy Spirit? You know, I don't want to discount
feelings altogether. You know, the peace of God, It's
better than understanding that passeth understanding, the joy
and rejoicing of the spirit of God. Those things are real to
the hearts of the child of God. But we can't, we can't judge
whether or not we have the spirit by those feelings, can we? Feelings
come and feelings go. And feelings can be deceiving. My only warrant is the Word of
God. None else is worth believing.
And we've got the testimony of God's Word. And the Spirit of
God is the one who made you believe everything that God said. The
world doesn't believe everything God said. You talk to people
in the world about who God is and about how God saves sinners.
What do they say? Yeah, yeah, but. And they'll
rest the scriptures and And show that we believe everything God.
Why? Because the Spirit of God is made. He said he's going to
testify of me when he comes. In verse 27, and you also shall
bear witness because you have been with me from the beginning. Now turn with me to Ephesians
chapter 1. Ephesians chapter 1. This is the promise of the
Father. So what the Lord told his disciples,
you go back to Jerusalem and you wait. And they waited 10
days. And I'm gonna send you the promise
of the Father, the one I've been telling you about. We just looked at a few verses
where the Lord told them that he was gonna send the comforter.
There's many, many more. And so don't you know, they're
huddled in this upper room and they're rehearsing together the
things that the Lord had been teaching them. And they remembered,
well, he said he was gonna send the comforter. So that must be
what he's talking about. And we'll just wait until he
comes. And when he came, he came in
power. Let me say this about tongues. The Lord gave the disciples
the gift of tongues. That was not some, uh, some gibberish
heavenly language, the gift of tongues that every there there's,
there's like 14 nations mentioned in Acts chapter one that were
gathered in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. And every one
of them heard them in their own language. The gift of tongues
was the ability to preach the gospel in a language that they
didn't know. If you had the gift of tongues,
you could go to Africa right now and preach the gospel clearly
in Swahili. That was the gift of tongues.
These people who pretend to have the gift of tongues, like I said,
they've got a spirit, but it's not from the Holy Spirit. And
those were sign gifts that God gave to the early church. Just
like the gifts that the prophets had in the Old Testament,
it authenticated their testimony. That's what it did. And this
baptism of the Holy Spirit that came on the day of Pentecost
was for the purpose of preaching the gospel. And we have the baptism
of the Holy Spirit and then we have some understanding about
the gospel and we're able to proclaim Christ for who he is
and for what he's done. So why are we no longer, the
sign gifts were given to the apostles, to the apostles to
validate the message of the gospel that they were preaching. the
gifts of healing and the gifts of tongues. Those were validating
gifts given to the preachers of the gospel, the apostles in
particular for preaching the gospel. Why do we not need those
things anymore? What do we have to validate the
truth of the gospel? We've got the full canon of scripture,
don't we? We've got the testimony of the
apostles given to us through the Holy Spirit. Men of old,
These things came not by private interpretation, but men of old
spake as they were moved by the Spirit of God. Now these were
fallible men, just like you're fallible and just like I'm fallible,
but when they were moved by the Spirit of God to pen the scriptures,
they spoke infallibly. And we now have that testimony.
So we don't need an outward demonstration of some sort of spiritual gift, we've got the
validation of God's word. And we've got the faith that
God gives us by his spirit to believe what God has said. Look at Ephesians chapter one
beginning in verse 11. I'm trying to answer that question,
how do I know if I have the spirit of God? You're still waiting
for an answer for that, aren't you? And there's good reason. Look at Ephesians 1 verse 11,
in whom also we have obtained an inheritance In Christ, the previous verses
speak of the Lord Jesus Christ, the whom here is a reference
to Christ. In Christ also we have obtained
an inheritance being predestinated according to the purpose of him
who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.
Brothers and sisters, we serve a God of purpose. And he sent
the Spirit of God on purpose. Let the religious world talk
about the plans that God has, all they want. Our God doesn't
make up plans as he goes along, okay? We've already made adjustments
on our plans out here just since they poured the footings. We've
made some changes on the interior walls in order to create more
space for nursery. And we had to get with a contractor
to make sure that when they put up the block that those adjustments
are made properly. God doesn't do that. Not one stone has been changed
from his original purpose. We serve a God of purpose and
we know that all things work together for good for them that
love God and those that are called according to his plan. Is that
what it says? No. According to his purpose. Purpose. God doesn't have changes
plans. No, he's, everything's right on schedule with him. That
we should be to the praise of his glory who first trusted in
Christ. God gets all the glory and we're
to the praise of his glory. In whom you also trusted after
you heard the word of truth. The gospel of your salvation.
You see, you can't trust Christ until you hear the word of truth.
It's the spirit of God that opens our eyes of understanding. It's
the spirit of God that gives us faith. The spirit of God that
causes us to believe on Christ. And it's the gospel of your salvation. In other words, it is a gospel
that declares the accomplishment of salvation. It's not a salvation
that will be made complete by something that you do. It's a
gospel that's already complete, the gospel of your salvation.
In whom also after you believed, after you believed, and you can't
believe without the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God had everything
to do with you believing. But after you believed, you were
sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest
of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession
unto the praise of his glory." So you didn't know it was the
Spirit of God revealing Christ to you when you first saw him,
did you? You didn't know it was the Spirit
of God that was opening the eyes of your understanding. You just
saw one day. You just believed one day. And
then after you believed, the Lord sent the Spirit as your
inheritance to seal you to the day of your redemption. In other
words, you know now that it's the Spirit of God. who points
you to Christ and comfort you and gives you assurance of your
salvation. That's the ministry of the Holy
Spirit. The earnest, the down payment. He causes us to have joy unspeakable
and full of glory. When the spirit of God is given
as a ceiling, it's the spirit of God that puts the stamp of
approval. Now you, you, you just know,
I'm not, I don't know how much time there is between when the
spirit of God opens the eyes of our understanding. I'm just
saying that the, that after you believed. Now the Lord sends
his spirit or gives us his spirit. He reveals to us the ministry
of his spirit and causes us to be sealed. A letter that's sealed
by the signet of a king cannot be opened. You remember that? book that was sealed in heaven
and John saw it in the hand of the Lamb and he wept because
there was no man in heaven able to unloose the seals. And the angel said, John, weep
not. The Lion of the tribe of Judah,
he hath prevailed. He's able to open the seals.
Right now we've been sealed. In other words, we have the assurance
of our salvation. by the ministry of the Spirit
of God. He's the down payment, that's the earnest, until the
full inheritance of our redemption is experienced. One last passage, and I hope
to answer this question, how do I know if I have the Spirit
of God? Turn with me to John chapter
16. John chapter 16. I quoted part of this passage
earlier. John chapter 16. Verse 7 nevertheless. I tell
you the truth. It is expedient for you. It is
good for you. It is necessary for you. It's
profitable for you that I go away. For if I go not away, the
Comforter will not come unto you, but if I depart, I will
send him unto you. This is the promise of the Father.
I'm gonna send him. And when he has come, he will reprove the world. Now the word world is used in
the same sense here as it's used in John 3, 16. Has everybody
in the world experienced the reproving of the spirit of God,
convicting them of their sin of righteousness and of judgment?
No, for God so loved the world that he gave. He's talking about,
he's talking about us, those outside of Israel, the spirit
of God is gonna come. And when he comes, how do you
know if he's come to you? He will convict the world of
sin, of righteousness and of judgment. of sin because they
believe not on me. You've not been convicted of
sin until you've been convicted as an unbeliever. Okay? The conscience will convict
you of bad behavior. But the conscience can never,
ever convict a person as being an unbeliever. The conscience
will never convict someone of the root of their, that's why
therapy and all these behavioral modifications are so popular
in our culture because why? People are trying to figure out
how to sad their conscience and how to curb their behavior. Why?
Because conscience is not able to get to the root of the problem.
And so they're putting Band-Aids on cancer. And they're trying
to fix things without ever getting to the root of the problem. What
is the root of my sin? What's the root of it? Unbelief. That's the root of it. And only
the spirit of God is able to convict a person of the root
cause of their sin. sin because they believe not
on me I've been a believer all my life that's too long that's
just too long God shows you the glory of Christ you come to realize
Lord I've been an unbeliever all my life and then after the
Lord brings you to Christ you still realize that every The
root of every one of my problems is not some psychological issue
or not some behavioral modification problem or not because of the
way I was raised or the way I was potty trained. It's because of
my own unbelief. There's the root cause. How do
you know that? Because the Spirit of God has convicted me of that.
And what the Spirit of God convicts you of, you just know is true.
How do I know if I've got the Spirit of God? Because I can't
blame anybody else for my problems. It's my own unbelief. Do you have the Spirit of God? If I send you the Spirit and
you're out there in the world, He's going to convict you of
sin because of your unbelief, of righteousness because I go
to my Father. What is that all about? Well,
you know what it's about. I have no righteousness outside
of that one who is seated at the right hand of God. My advocate with the father,
Jesus Christ, the righteous one who's seated at God's right hand
and ever lives to make intercession for me. He's my righteousness.
I don't have any righteousness. You see, if you think you can
do something to make what Christ did work for you, then you're
adding your righteousness to his. Whether it be free will,
whether it be a decision, whether it be a work that you perform,
Christ Jesus the Lord is all my righteousness. He has gone
to the Father. He's my advocate. He's my intercessor. He's my sin bearer. He's my satisfaction. And outside of him, you know,
there's a little article in your bulletin. And I closed the message
last Sunday with this statement. We are nothing but sin. And at the same time, we have
no sin. That's why we mourn and rejoice
at the same time. It's not a contradiction. It
may be a paradox that cannot be understood by the natural
man, but it's not a contradiction. It's the believer's experience.
We've got two natures, don't we? The natural man has a zeal for
God, but not according to knowledge. What is the knowledge that they
don't have? That Christ is their righteousness. Christ alone is
all their righteousness. And so they go about trying to
establish their own righteousness, not knowing that Christ is the
end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believe it.
How do I know I have the spirit of God? Because God's made me
a sinner and I have no righteousness outside of Christ. I'm looking
to him for all my righteousness before God. and of judgment because
the prince of this world has been judged. When was he judged?
He was judged on Calvary's tree when the Lord Jesus Christ bowed
his head and said, it is finished. Do you think there's something
else other than that that you can do to satisfy God's justice? Or was judgment completed at
Calvary's tree for you? Now, if you have the Spirit of
God. All. Be thankful for those moments
when the Spirit of God gives you great feelings of comfort
and hope. But I would repeat to you what
I've said many times. When we look to the Spirit of
God. The dove of peace flies out of
our hearts. When we're caused by the Spirit
of God to look to Christ, the dove of peace will fly into our
hearts. Isn't that the way it works?
So don't look, I mean, enjoy those moments when the dove of
peace flies into your hearts, but don't look to that, look
to Christ. Look to Christ and be thankful
that number one, he's made you a sinner. Number two, you see,
that all your righteousness is bound up 100% in him. And number three, everything
God requires for the judgment of your sin was satisfied on
Calvary's cross. If you believe that, you've got
the spirit of God. No understanding, no intellect,
no conscience will lead you to those things. Amen? All right,
let's take a break. Thank you.
