Flowers? I figured you would. When you
get tired of looking at me, you can look at them. Thank Jennifer and Lord Grace
for putting those together for us. They're very beautiful. Psalm 40, the Lord said, I waited
patiently for the Lord and he inclined unto me and heard my
cry. Our hope this morning is that
the Lord would incline unto us, put it into our hearts to cry
out for help, cry out for grace, cry out for salvation, cry out
for forgiveness. If he puts that in our hearts,
it'll be because he's going to hear that cry. And we leave here
this morning with hope for our souls. Tom's going to come and
lead us in the hymn on the back of your bulletin, so let's stand
together. With harps and with viols there
stands a great throng in the presence of Jesus and sings this
new Him who hath loved us and washed
us from sin, unto Him be the glory forever. Amen. All these once were sinners,
defiled in His sight, Now arrayed in pure garments, in praise they
unite. To Him who hath loved us and
washed us from sin, Unto Him be the glory, forever, amen. He maketh a rebel, a priest,
and a king. He hath bought us and taught
us this new song to sing. To Him who hath loved us and
washed us from sin, unto Him be the glory forever. Amen. How helpless and hopeless
we sinners had been, if He never had loved us till cleansed from
our sin. To Him who hath loved us and
washed us from sin, unto Him be the glory forever, amen. Ah, loud in His praises our voices
shall ring, so that others, believing, this new song shall sing. To Him who hath loved us and
washed us from sin, unto Him be the glory forever. Amen. Please be seated. Good morning. Would you turn
to the book of Isaiah, chapter 62. This is about Him, about
the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, how I pray He would bless
this passage. Glorious passage of Him. Verse 1, chapter 62. For Zion's sake, for Zion's sake. It's for his
sake because God the Father has set his King on this holy hill
of Zion. That's why we're here. He called
us to this place. Will I not hold my peace? And for Jerusalem's sake, I will
not rest until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness
and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. Oh, and
the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all the kings thy glory. And thou shalt be called by a
new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. You recall in Jeremiah, we are
called the Lord our righteousness. Thou shalt also be a crown of
glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand
of thy God. Thou shall no more be termed
forsaken, neither shall thy land any more be termed desolate. But thou shall be called Hephzibah,
and thy land Beulah. Oh, for the Lord delight in thee,
beloved, and thy land shall be married. For as a young man marrieth
a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee. And as the bridegroom rejoiceth
over the bride, So shall thy God rejoice over thee. I have set watchmen upon thy walls,
O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night. Ye that make mention of the Lord
keep not silence. Oh, how wonderful and beautiful
are the feet of those who bring the gospel of peace glad tidings
of good things, that being the Lord Jesus Christ, and oh how
I pray, in this next hour he'd be pleased to do that. May he
bless this word to our hearts. Let's pray. Lord, as my brother uttered just
a few moments ago, we're in desperate need of your
Holy Spirit. to take what we're offering up
right now and make it acceptable to the Father. For we do have
confidence in the one who is seated on your right hand, Jesus
Christ, the righteous, who ever liveth to intercede for us. Oh,
Lord, have mercy upon us now as we plead for your spirit to
enable us to believe you. How we desire to worship you
and how we desire to lift you up, our King. But Lord, unless
you send your Holy Spirit, it would all be a vain thing. Would
you come visit us now for Christ's sake, Lord? Would you bless your
word? We need ears to hear and eyes
to see and a heart to believe. And Lord, bring our brother and
give our brother once again the power, the freedom, and the ability
that we may hear from you Oh, we need peace, we need comfort,
and Lord, we need assurance, for we ask it in Christ's name,
amen. Let's all stand together once
again. We'll sing hymn number 11 in your gospel hymn, spiral
hymn book, number 11. With broken heart and contrite
side, A trembling sinner, Lord, I cry, Thy pardoning grace is
richly ? O God be merciful to me ? I smite
upon my troubled breast ? With deep and conscious guilt oppressed
? Christ and his cross my only plea ? O God be merciful to me
? No works nor deeds that I have done ? Can for a single sin atone
? To Christ the Lord alone I flee ? O God be merciful to me ? And
when redeemed from sin and hell ? With all the ransom throng
I dwell ? My rapture song shall ever be God has been merciful
to thee. Please be seated. Bri Weishi
is going to bring some special music now. ? Abide with me ? ? Fast falls
the eventide ? ? The darkness deepens ? ? Lord, with me abide
? ? When other helpers ? fill uncomforts free. Help of the helpless, so abide
with me. Swift to its close, ends of life's
little day. Earth's joys grow dim as glories
pass away. Change and decay in all around
I see. O Thou who changest not, abide
with me. I need thy presence every passing
hour. What but thy grace can foil the
tempter's vow? ? Who like Thyself my guidance
day can be ? ? Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me
? ? O Thou Thy Word, ? Before my
closing eyes ? ? Shine through the dome and point me to the
skies ? ? Heaven's morning breaks and earth's faint shadows fade
? In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me. Thank you, Brie. as our hope. Lord, be pleased to abide in
us. Cause us to abide in Him. Will
you open your Bibles with me to Isaiah chapter 57. Isaiah
chapter 57. I've titled this message, Peace. Peace. The absence of conflict. That's what peace is. Unity. Concord. Harmony. Everybody wants
it. World. Dreams about world peace. peace between nations, the absence
of war, absence of conflict. And the Lord has admonished us
in 1 Timothy to pray for kings and for those in authority that
we might live peaceable lives here on this earth to whatever
degree our political leaders are able to mitigate the degree
of conflict between nations, we're thankful for that. And
we ought to pray for them that they would be able to do that. But to think that there's going
to be world peace is a pipe dream. The Lord himself said that there
will always be wars and rumors of wars. Men are going to be
in conflict with one another. or give us some degree of peace
that we might live quiet and peaceable lives here in this
world. Everybody wants peace, absence
of conflict on their jobs, with their neighbors. Particularly
in your home, you want the absence of conflict, don't you? And those things are enjoyable,
pleasurable, and we're thankful for them. But when God speaks
of having peace, he's talking about something completely different.
Well, it's absence of conflict, but not in your circumstances.
It's the absence of conflict with God. That's peace. And if you have that, you can
not have peace anywhere else and it'll be okay. If God be for me, if I have unity
with God, if I have the absence of conflict in my relationship
with God, if I have peace with God, then I can do what Paul
said in Philippians chapter 4 when he said, Rejoice in the Lord
always, always. And again, I say rejoice. Let
your moderation be known unto all men. Why? Because the Lord's
at hand. The Lord is near. He said, turn to me to that passage,
Philippians chapter four. Verse six, be careful for nothing. Though my country may be in war
with another country, though I may have conflict in my home,
though I may have conflict at work, if I'm able to rejoice
in the Lord, knowing that I have peace with God through the Lord
Jesus Christ, then all is well. And I can say, be careful for
nothing. In other words, don't fret yourself. But in all things, in all things,
by prayer and supplication, let your requests be known unto God
with thanksgiving. Lift these things up to the Lord.
and the peace of God which passes human understanding will keep
your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. How is my mind kept in
Christ Jesus? Well, look at verse 8. Finally,
brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things
have a good report, if there be any virtue in them, or any
praise. Those words can only be used
to describe the Lord Jesus Christ. He's the one who's true. He's the one who's honest. He's the one who's just and pure
and lovely and of good report. He's the one of all virtue. He's
the one of all praise. Think on these things. set your
affections on things above, where Christ is seated at the right
hand of God. Lord, give me your spirit that I might have my heart
set on Christ. You see, if the Lord doesn't
make us willing, if he doesn't make us willing, we will go through
life unconscious, unconscious of the fact that we don't have
peace with God. We will go through life judging our peace based
on our circumstances. We'll go through life thinking,
well, if everything's going well, you know, then I've got peace.
And we'll be completely ignorant of our need to have peace with
God. And we will die and all will be lost. All will be lost. You can have all the peaceful
circumstances that man can enjoy in this world if you don't have
peace with God. What profit is it? The Lord asked
that question. What does a profit a man if he
gained the whole world and lose his own soul? What will a man
give in exchange of his soul? I'll tell you what he'd give
in exchange for his soul. The natural man will give temporal
peace for eternal peace. He will sacrifice eternal peace
with God on the altar of temporal peace in his circumstances. He'll do it every day. Every
day he'll do it. And if God doesn't put on our
hearts a desire, a concern for our soul and how we could have
peace with God, we'll be satisfied. We'll be satisfied. with just
a life of ease, won't we? We will be. Now, what's the Lord
say here in Isaiah chapter 57? You have your Bibles turned back
with me, if you will, to that passage. Verse 19, I create the fruit of the lips. By your words you shall be justified
and by your words you shall be condemned. You make a good tree,
you make a tree good and its fruit will be good. You make
a tree evil and its fruit will be evil. What is he talking about?
He's talking about the fruit of our lips. What say ye of Christ? To speak the truth about the
Lord Jesus Christ who is The Prince of Peace is a work of
grace in the heart. As a man thinketh in his heart,
so his mouth speaks. So God has to do a work of grace
in our hearts in order for the fruit of our lips to give praise
to Him for making peace with God by His shed blood. I create the fruit of the lips. You're not going to, you listen
to what a person says about Christ and you'll find out whether or
not the Lord has created in their heart, peace with God, or whether
they're just still looking at everything from a fleshly perspective. What say ye of Christ? Whose
son is he? Whose son is he? Well, he's the
son of David. Well, if he'd be the son of David,
then why did David call him Lord? No father calls his son Lord. See, the Lord Jesus Christ was
David's Lord. He presupposed David, didn't
he? Having peace with God presupposes that I have a conflict
with God. Do I need to have peace with
God? Yeah. Isaiah said, your sins
have separated you from your God. God must be made propitious. And the thing about it is that
you can't bring anything to the bargaining table in order for
you to make peace with God. You can't do it. There was a time when we did
not have peace with God. Our sins stood between us and
God. And we desperately attempted
to to put away our own sins. Look at verse 12 or verse 11
in this 57th chapter. And of whom hast thou been afraid
or feared, that thou hast lied and hast not remembered me, nor
laid it to thy heart? Have not I held my peace even
of old, and thou feared me not? Who lied to you? I will declare
thy righteousness. Now God's speaking. You want
to present your righteousness to God as the hope of your salvation? And God says, I will declare
thy righteousness and thy works and they shall not profit thee. I don't care how much good you've
done. God says, you present your righteousness
as the hope of your salvation, they're not going to profit you.
I have to create the fruit of the lips. I have to speak peace
to your heart. You can't speak peace to your
own heart. Preacher can't speak peace to your heart. No one else
can do it. God has to do it. God has to do it. And if he doesn't,
If he doesn't, nothing else will matter. Nothing else will matter. Whatever legacy you might leave
in this world, whatever good thing you do, nothing will matter. Verse 13, when thou cryest, let
thy companions deliver thee. but the wind shall carry them
away, and vanity shall take them." And here's what God says about
man. Man at his very best state is altogether vanity. Best thing you've ever done.
God looks at it. He says it's empty. It's devoid
of righteousness. I can't accept it. But, look at the rest of verse
13. But, aren't you thankful? When
God says but, it's a good thing. And we talk to men all the time
and they'll say, well, yeah, I see what you're saying, but.
And like goats, they but against the truth of the gospel and they
make exceptions for themselves and they deny the truth. But
when God says but, You were separated from me. You had no righteousness.
You tried to present something that was vanity, but he that
putteth his trust in me shall possess the land and shall inherit
my holy mountain." Here's what Paul said in Romans.
He said, I reckon, and by that word reckon, you know, we use
it in the South to say, well, you know, it could be this way
or it could be that way. I reckon so. But when God says reckon,
He's talking about a dead reckoning. The reason your cell phone is
able to show you your exact location is because it's giving a dead
reckoning off of several different satellites pinpointing your location. And that's when God says reckon,
that's what He's talking about. He's not saying, well, you know,
it could be this way, it could be that way, we'll see how it works
out. No, this is dead reckoning. And what did Paul say? I reckon
that the sufferings of this world cannot be compared to the glory
that shall be revealed in us. That's my dead reckoning. We're not looking at temporal
things. If we have the Spirit of God, we're looking at the
eternal and we're judging the temporal from the eternal. The
Lord says the natural man, he's just going to bring something
to the table and think that I'm going to honor it. But it's vanity. Put your trust. And that's a
work of grace in the heart. No question about that. The Lord told Nicodemus, you
can't perceive the kingdom of God. You can't see it. You can't
believe. You won't come to me that you
might have life. But when God makes you willing,
when He makes you willing, you just, you flee to Christ, don't
you? You just run to Him. Lord, You're
my only hope. You're all I've got. Lord, where
else can we go? You alone have the words of eternal
life. We believe and are sure that
Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. You've shut
us up to Christ. That's what it is to trust Him,
to trust the sacrifice that He made on Calvary's cross for all
that God requires. All that God requires for payment
for your sin. To trust His perfect obedience
before the Father for all that God requires for your righteousness. To trust Him alone. If you're looking to anything
in your life, either for the hope of your salvation
or for the evidence of your salvation, you're looking in the wrong place.
You're looking in the wrong place. Verse 14, What are those who
put their trust in Christ, who inherit the holy mountain, who
have the hope of salvation? For we and shall say, cast ye
up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out
of the way of my people. Stumbling block. The Lord Jesus
Christ is called the foundation stone, the stone that was rejected
by the builder and it became a stumbling block, a stumbling
stone. Why? Because they weren't crushed
by that stone. They weren't. They didn't believe
Him. They didn't trust Him. For thus
saith the High and Lofty One, Oh, he's so high and lofty. He's
holy. There's not a single thing in
your life or my life that's anywhere like him. Unless we have the new nature
of the mind of Christ. That new man is perfectly conformed
to his image. Perfectly. But that's him. For thus sayeth the high and
lofty one that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is holy. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord
God of hosts. Heaven and earth is filled with
his glory. He's holy. He's other than we are. Holy,
undefiled, separate from sinners. He's not like anything. He's
not like us in any way. And this is what he says, the
lofty one that inhabit the eternity whose name is holy, I dwell in
the high and holy place with him also that is of a contrite
and humble spirit. David said a contrite and humble
heart, broken heart, he will not despise. Why? Because he's
the one that creates that broken heart. He's the one who gives
us that contrite spirit when he reveals to us that we're sinners. You see, only a sinner's got
a contrite spirit. Only a sinner's humble before God. Only one who
has been taught by the Spirit of God that they have no righteousness. They have nothing to persuade
God in any way to save them. They're completely dependent
on Christ outside of themselves for all the hope of their salvation.
That's humility. That's brokenness. That's being
contrite. to revive the spirit of the humble
and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. You see, he doesn't
leave us broken. He doesn't leave us. There's
a, well, it's a paradox, isn't it? For the child of God, he's
contrite and he's broken and he's thrilled and excited at
the same time. Turn to me. We looked at this
passage Wednesday night. Turn back with me to Psalm 2. Look at verse 11. Here's the
Holy Spirit speaking of Christ beginning in verse 10. Be wise
now therefore, O ye kings, those of you that have occupied the
throne of your own heart. You've taken possession of your
righteousness and your life. Be wise, O ye kings. Be instructed,
ye judges of the earth. Man left to himself will make
judgments that are not true. And the Lord's speaking to the
natural man. He says, by nature, You think
you're king. By nature, you think you can
make proper judgments, but be wise. Serve the Lord with fear and
rejoice with trembling. There's the paradox. We rejoice
and we tremble. We serve Him gladly and we fear
Him. Now, if you don't understand
that, I would just encourage you to ask the Lord to give you
His Spirit because that's every believer's experience. I had somebody tell me recently,
well, you know, you don't have to beg God for anything because,
you know, He's already He loves you and he's your father. And
he said, I never begged my father for anything. Now, I didn't think
about it at the time, but later I thought, yeah, and your father
didn't have the authority to cast your soul into the devil's
hell either. If he did, you'd fear him. It's what the Lord said. He said,
don't fear the one who can kill the body, but rather fear Him
who has the authority to cast both body and soul into hell.
So there's a rejoicing with fear and there's a trembling with
service, isn't there? They're both true. They're both
true. Kiss the Son. Kiss the Son. There's two times kissing Christ
is referenced to in the New Testament. Judas kissed him in the garden,
didn't he? That was a kiss of hypocrisy. It's a kiss of lie. Judas, thinking that he could
force the hand of God to do things his way. And he kissed him. And then you've got the woman
who shed her tears on the feet of the Lord and dried him with
her hair and kissed his feet. Kissed his feet. That's where
you don't give him a peck on the cheek. Kiss his feet. Kiss the son lest he be angry. And his wrath be kindled but
just a little. Doesn't take, you know, doesn't
take All he's got to do is speak. When revelation speaks of the
Lord Jesus Christ coming and ride upon that horse of conquering
the world, his tongue is like a flaming fire. All he does is
speak and his word accomplishes its end, doesn't it? Kiss the son lest he be angry
and you perish from your way when his wrath is kindled but
a little. Blessed are they that put their trust in him. I go back to meet our text the gospel is called the ministry
of reconciliation do you need to be reconciled to God you need to be reconciled to
God you see there was a time when when you walked with your
father Adam in the cool the day with God and there was no conflict
you were at peace with God You and I were at peace with God
at one time in Adam, but we were fallible and we fell. And that peace was severed. And
now the gospel is all about reconciling those who have fallen in Adam
and bringing them to have peace with God. I want you to have
peace with God. I can't promise you peace in
your circumstances. God nowhere in his word promises
you the absence of conflict in your life. Nowhere. I can't stand
up here and say, well, you know, if you just believe God more,
if you just do this or do that, you won't have any conflict there.
You won't have any conflict and God's never going to put on you
more than you can bear. That's a lie. That's a lie. But I can tell you there's peace
with God. And if the Lord gives you that,
if the fruit of your lips enables you to testify of your trust
in Christ, everything will be fine. You'll be able to say with Paul
in Romans chapter 8, I know that my God reigns and that he is
working all things together for my good. and for His glory because
I love Him. And the reason I love Him is
because He's called me by His grace, called me by His grace. Verse 16, the Lord Jesus Christ
in John chapter 14 said, peace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you, not
as the world giveth, giveth I unto you. What's the world's peace? The world's peace is a false
hope. The prophets, the false prophets
say peace, peace when there is no peace. Verse 16, for I will not contend
forever, neither will I always be wroth, for the spirit shall
fail before me, and the souls which I have made for the iniquity
of his covetousness was I wroth, and I smote him, I hid me, and
was wroth, and he went on forwardly in the way of his heart. There
is a way that seems right unto man, but in the end that way
leads to death. The natural man is going to go
about his way, trying to earn his salvation. I have seen his
ways. I have seen his ways and I will
heal him. I will lead him also and restore
comfort unto him and to his mourners. I saw what you're trying to do
to save yourself. And I fetched you by my grace
and I brought you to myself. And I created the fruit of your
lips Peace, peace. Look, I create the fruit of the
lips, peace, peace to him that is far off and to him that is
near, saith the Lord, I will heal him. You see, it doesn't
matter whether you're close or a long way. There's a couple
of instances in the scripture where there was a man that was
very close, close to the kingdom of God. Close don't count. Close doesn't count. It doesn't
matter if you're far away or if you're close. Those are measurements that men
use. You've got to be in the kingdom of God. You've got to
be found in Christ. Not having your own righteousness
which is of the law But that righteousness which is by the
faithfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ, the righteousness of
God, men ignorant of God's righteousness go about to establish their own
righteousness. For Christ is the end of the
law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. Trust Christ,
you'll have peace with God. God who is the offended party
takes on himself the full responsibility for reconciling us to himself. Now, that's not usually the way
it works, is it? See, in our relationships, I offend you.
It's up to me to make it right. And that's the reason God said,
you thought that I was altogether as yourself. You're trying to
make things right with me the way you make things right with
another man. All the responsibility for reconciling
sinners to God, God takes on Himself. So you get no glory. You get no praise for it. He gets all the glory. All things are of God. 2 Corinthians
chapter 5, all things are of God who hath reconciled us to
himself by Jesus Christ. To wit, God was in Christ reconciling
the world to himself and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation. You see, sinners have to be reconciled
to God. Christ is the only one that can
reconcile us. We can't reconcile ourselves. The offender must be made willing.
And if we're not made willing, well, we'll just remain, we'll
remain unconscious, as I said earlier, of our enmity with God. And we'll
think that all things are well when they're not. And we'll pride ourselves in
thinking that, well, you know, I'm doing a little better. When the angels were sent of
God to announce the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, they could
not contain themselves. They flew down here and announced
to those shepherds watching their flock that night, glory to God
in the highest. and on earth peace, peace and
goodwill towards men. What he came to do? He came to
bring peace, to reconcile us to God. And when Isaiah looked
forward to what God was going to do, he said in Isaiah chapter
52, how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of them that bring
good tidings and publish peace, peace, peace with God through the Lord
Jesus Christ. Now in closing, turn with me
to Jeremiah chapter six, please. Jeremiah chapter six. Speaking of the false prophets, in verse 13, for from the least
of them even to the greatest of them, everyone is given to
covetousness. What are they coveting? They're
coveting the glory of God. They're coveting all that merit
and favor and glory that goes to Christ and they're coveting
it to themselves. And from the prophet, even unto
the priest, everyone dealeth falsely. They tell you that your
salvation is determined by something you do. They have healed also
the heart, the hurt, I'm sorry, of the daughter of my people
slightly saying, peace, peace, when there is no peace. Were
they ashamed when they committed abomination? May they were not
ashamed, neither could they blush. Now, I know there's people that
can do all sorts of horrible things and not feel any shame.
By the way, that's one of the ways you know you have the Spirit
of God. The conscience can be seared. The conscience can be seared.
The Holy Spirit can never be silenced. If you've got the Spirit
of God, He's not going to let you get by with anything. You
know that, don't you? You can be sure your sins are
going to find you out, aren't they? The Spirit of God just,
He won't ever let me. But here, He's not talking about
just people who are indulging themselves in bad behavior and
feeling no conscience, no regret, no sorrow for it. He's talking about people who
are doing good things and they're not ashamed of them. They're
not ashamed of them. If you've got the Spirit of God,
you're ashamed of everything you do. You say, wait, wait a
minute. Yeah, Zechariah chapter 12, when
the Spirit of grace and supplication is poured out upon the house
of Jerusalem and upon the inhabitants of Israel, they shall mourn after
him whom they have pierced. They shall loathe themselves. They don't glory in whatever
they do. Nay, they are not at all ashamed,
neither could they blush. Therefore, they shall fall among
them that fall. At the time that I visit them,
they shall be cast down, saith the Lord. Thus saith the Lord,
stand ye in the ways and see. Ask for the old paths. where
is the good way and walk therein and you shall find rest for your
soul." But they said, we're not going to walk therein. We're
not going to have that man reign over us. That's the old path. Also I set watchmen over you
saying, hearken unto the sound of the trumpet. But they said,
we'll not hearken. We're not going to bow. We're not going to believe. All right, go back with me to
our text in Isaiah 57, verse 20. But the wicked are
like the troubled sea. These are those who are not ashamed.
They're proud of their good works. They publish. What do they say? Well, I accepted Jesus. And they'll
tell you all about how they felt and the feelings and the experience. And of course, you meet up with
your religious friends and they want to tell you all about what
they're doing for God. You're ashamed of what you do
for God, aren't you? If you've got the Spirit of God, I know
you are. You're not boasting in it. But the wicked are like the troubled
sea when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. That's all they do. They think they're casting up
good things and God says it's just mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God,
for the wicked. Who are the wicked? The unbeliever.
The unbeliever. No peace for them. Who is it peace for? Those found in Christ. I've got
peace with God. I've got peace with God. I've
got an advocate with the Father. Jesus Christ the righteous one.
I've got a sin substitute. I've got a sacrifice for my sin.
I've got a substitute before God. He's my surety. He's all my righteousness and
all of my acceptance before God. And He's ordering the circumstances
of my life according to His goodwill and
purpose to make me more dependent upon Him. To speak more peace to my heart.
Sometimes the Lord has to create conflict in the temporal to give
peace to the spiritual abundance. Let's pray. Our heavenly father,
we're so very thankful that you've worked out our salvation. Lord,
we're amazed that you would have anything to do with sinners such
as us. But oh, what great hope, trembling
with rejoicing. What great hope we have in knowing
that you've loved us with an everlasting love and that we
have peace with God through the Lord Jesus Christ,
for it's in his name we pray, amen. Brother Tom. Number 168, let's stand together,
number 168. We'll sing this hymn a cappella. Lord, I hear of showers of blessing,
Thou art scattering, full and free. Showers the thirsty land
refreshing, Let some drops now fall on me. Even me, even me,
let thy blessing fall on me. Pass me not, O tender Savior,
let me love and cling to thee. I am longing for thy favor, whilst
thou art calling, O call me. Even me, even me, let thy blessing
fall on me. Pass me not, O mighty spirit,
thou canst make the blind to see. Witness, sir, of Jesus'
merit, speak the word of power to me. Even me, even me, let
thy blessing fall on me. Love of God so pure and changeless,
blood of Christ so rich and free. Grace of God so strong and boundless,
magnify them all in me. Even me, even me, let thy blessing
fall on me. Pass me not thy lost one bringing,
bind my heart, O Lord, to thee. While the streams of life are
springing, Blessing others, O bless me. Even me, even me, Let thy
blessing fall on me. Hey Jack. Yes.
