Good morning. Let's find our
seats. God, who at sundry times and
in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the
prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son,
who is the brightness of His glory, and the express image
of His person, and upholdeth all things by the word of His
power." We pray that the Lord will be pleased to speak to our
hearts by His word and reveal to us the glory of Christ. Tom's
gonna come and lead us in number 18, in the gospel hymns hymnal,
number 18. The Bible is a book of Christ. It... I'm sorry. the prophets and apostles to
reveal the sinner's friend. The Bible is a book of Christ,
it only speaks of Him. On every page it shows us Christ,
it only speaks of Him. The prophecies of old record
God's wondrous mighty deeds. Those deeds of power and of grace
set forth a woman's seed. The Bible is a book of Christ,
it only speaks of Him. On every page it shows us Christ,
it only speaks of Him. The prophets all reveal our Lord
as prophet, priest, and king. The types the great redemption
show, Christ's blood and grace now bring. The Bible is a book
of Christ, it only speaks of Him. On every page it shows us
Christ, it only speaks of Him. Behold the Lamb, the Baptist
said, the sin-atoning One. As it was promised long before,
God's Son as man has come. The Bible is a book of Christ,
it only speaks of Him. On every page it shows us Christ,
it only speaks of Him. Our substitute obeyed the law,
then died and rose again. And in His word our Savior said,
Rejoice, I come again. The Bible is a book of Christ,
It only speaks of Him. On every page it shows us Christ,
It only speaks of Him. Please be seated. Good morning. Would you turn to the book of
Revelation, book of Revelation chapter one. Oh, I hope Lord would send a
spirit to once again to bless us in this passage we're about
to read. There was a moment in time where, in eternity, when
God the Father and God the Son entered into the covenant of
grace to fulfill everything for His children, His elect child.
But also, He appointed in purpose the day, that day when He will
reveal His Son. Don't you know that God the Father
is looking forward to that day where He can once and for all
parade His glorious Son and His church before the whole world.
And that's what this passage is. The Lord is trying to say
to us again, I've given you My Word, I've been proclaiming it
since that day in eternity, thus saith the Lord, here is My Son,
My darling Son, oh, look to Him. Here He is. But one day, The
whole world is going to see that. Let's read this together, I pray.
Lord, we bless it to your heart, done mine. The revelation of Jesus Christ,
and look at this, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants
things which must shortly come to pass. And he sent and signified
by his angel unto his servant John, who bear record of the
word of God and of the testimony of Jesus Christ and of all things
that he saw. Oh, blessed is he that readeth
and they that hear the words of this prophecy. I pray the
Lord would bless that this very moment and keep those things
which are written therein for the time is at hand. It is right now, this very moment. John to the seven churches which
are in Asia, grace be unto you, oh and peace from him which is
and which was and which is to come and from the seven spirits
which are before his throne and from Jesus Christ who is the
fateful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the
prince of the kings of the earth unto him that loved us and washed
us from our sins in his own blood and hath made us kings and priests
unto God and his father to him and to him alone be glory and
dominion forever and ever Amen. Behold, look, look. He's coming. He cometh with clouds
and every eye shall see him. And they also which pierced him. That's us, beloved. We know we're
the ones that pierce his hand and feet. And all kindreds of
the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and
which is to come, the Almighty. Let's pray. O Lord, that is our heart's desire
this morning. You've brought us here to hear.
And so we ask once again, according to your grace and mercy, Lord,
would you enable us to read and see, to listen and hear, and
to believe truly that thou art the son of God. Lord, it's our heart's desire
this morning that you would reveal yourself to your lost sheep.
And for us that who you've already brought in, Lord, would you assure
us once again this morning, The one which is, which was,
and the one that is to come. Hasten that day, O Lord, that
we may see you face to face. And in the meantime, Lord, keep
us, give us faith to rest. And oh, how we ask again, Lord,
that you would speak to our hearts through the preaching of your
word. Bless it now. Bless your messenger. For Christ's
sake and to his glory. Amen. Let's stand together once again. We'll
sing the hymn that's on the back of your bulletins. Now, gracious Lord, Thine arm
reveal, And make Thy glory known. Now let us all Thy presence feel,
And soften hearts of stone, And soften hearts of stone. Help us to venture near Thy throne
and plead the Savior's name. For all that we can call our
own is vanity and shame, is vanity and shame. From all the guilt
of former sin, may mercy set us free. And let the year we
now begin, begin and end with Thee, begin and end with Thee. Send down thy spirit from above,
that saints may love thee more, and sinners now may learn to
love who never loved before, who never loved before. And when before Thee we appear
in our eternal home, may growing numbers worship here and praise
Thee in our room, and praise Thee in our room. Please be seated. Will you open your Bibles with
me to First Thessalonians chapter four. First Thessalonians chapter
four. I just want to read a few verses
here by way of introduction. You know how I hope that the
Lord will be pleased to comfort the hearts of his children. Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem. Tell them that their warfare
is accomplished. All their iniquity has been taken
away. What hope! What comfort! God's people are
comforted in thinking about seeing their Lord in all of His splendor. and being made like Him. Now,
what that means, being made like Him, means to be without sin. And what a comfort it is for
God's people to know that in Christ, in Christ, through faith
in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are before God right now without
sin. As He is, so are we right now
in this world. Yet our experience is that we
have this body of flesh, don't we? Paul said in Romans chapter
seven, oh wretched man that I am who shall deliver me from the
body of this death. And what comfort it is to know
that there is no condemnation, no condemnation before God to
them who are in Christ Jesus and that one day, one day very
soon, We're going to be without this body. This corruptible body,
the scripture says in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, is going to be made
incorruptible. This mortal body is going to
be made immortal, and it doth not yet appear what we shall
be. In other words, we can't see in our experience right now
what it's going to be like. But we know that when He shall
appear, We shall see Him as He is and be made sinless in our
experience. 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 verse 13, But I would not have
you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep. In the first hour we looked at
Those 500 believers, some of which had fallen asleep in the
last 25 years, falling asleep in Christ, dead to the world,
resting, waiting. Paul said, the Lord said, I don't
want you to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen asleep,
those who have left this world. that you sorrow not as others
which have no hope. If they've fallen asleep in Christ,
oh, what hope we have! What hope we have! For if we believe that Jesus
died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus
will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the
word of the Lord. This we say unto you by the word
of the Lord. Faith is just saying amen to
what God says. God said it. I believe it. It's
the substance of things hoped for. It's the evidence of things
not seen. But it's just saying amen to God. And that's all those
who have faith need is a word from God. They don't need any
other explanation. They don't need any other defense.
They don't need any other argument. They don't need reasoning. They
don't need experience. They don't need miracles. All they need is a word from
God. And so the Lord says, this I say unto you by the word of
the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of
the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord
himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and with the voice
of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in
Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the
Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort ye one another
with these words. Are you comforted with those
words? You know, most places that are
engaged in some sort of religious activity right now are preaching
a message of psychology, flavored with religion, teaching folks
how to be a better husband, a better wife. I want to be a better husband.
I know my wife wants to be a better wife. I don't know how much she
can be better than she is, but I want to be a better person,
don't you? I want to be a better parent. But if all we do is teach men
how to be better in this life, then all we've done is cleaned
up the outside of the cup. Men look at the outward appearances. Why are people so concerned with
the outward appearances? Because they value the approval
of men more than the approval of God. This gospel that we believe,
it goes to the heart of the matter. And it prepares men to die. My concern for you and for me
is that we'd be ready to die. And I'm just thoroughly convinced
that the only way to make any sense of this life and to be
any better than we are in terms of our daily living is to be
prepared to die. You can't live until you can
die. And death is coming. It's coming
quicker than we think. Men deny it. They don't want
to think about it. I've met people who don't want
to go to funerals. I don't like talking about death. I don't
like thinking about death. I don't want to be confronted
with it. Oh, I do. God's people think about it all
the time. And they don't think about it with some sort of morose,
depressed, dark view of something. No, they think about it with
anticipation. Comfort ye one another with these
words. The Lord's coming. And I can
guarantee you that He will come in your life. You say, wait a
minute, preacher. We don't know when He's coming.
If you consider the moment after you take your last breath as
part of your life, then He's come for you. He's coming in
your life. He's coming in my life. Because
whether or not he comes physically in that last glorious trump that
we just read about, or whether he comes individually taking
us out of this world in death, he's coming soon. Sooner than
we think. And oh, what encouragement that
is. Paul said for me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. And John concludes the whole
canon of scripture with, come Lord Jesus, even now come. The only satisfaction, the only
real satisfaction that a believer's longing soul has is the hope
of knowing that one day he will soon see the Lord and be made
like Him. Oh, God's people so hate their
sin. They so hate their sin. They
just can't imagine what it's going to be like to be without
sin, but what a longing hope they have. And all the other
temporal pleasures and satisfactions that we enjoy in this world,
Ultimately, those things grieve the soul of God's people because
they distract them from setting their affections on Christ. Isn't
that your experience? The only real satisfaction that
is to be had, the only real comfort, the only real hope that is to
be experienced in this life is when one is able to set their
hope on their own resurrection. Now turn with me, if you will,
please, to 1 Corinthians chapter 15. We have a sure hope. This sure hope is based on sure
promises. You say, how do you know that,
preacher? Because God said so. And here's what the Lord said,
they shall be all taught of God. And then in another place he
said, Father, I thank Thee that Thou hast hid these things from
the wise and the prudent, the self-righteous, the skeptic,
the pseudo-intellectual. Father, I thank Thee that Thou
hast hid these things from the wise and the prudent and revealed
them unto babes. Lest you become as a little child,
you should not enter the kingdom of heaven. Suffer the little
children to come unto me, for such is the kingdom of God."
See, faith is a matter of trusting God, much like a small child. Trust the strength and the arms
of a loving mother, loving fathers holding that child. And the Lord
says that's what faith is. The hope of our resurrection
is made sure by the fact that Christ was raised from the dead. The scripture refers to the Lord
Jesus Christ as the firstborn among many brethren. Now that's
a reference to his resurrection. The firstborn among many brethren. You have your Bibles open to
1 Corinthians chapter 15. 1 Corinthians chapter 15. Now, if Christ be preached, and
that's all we're interested in doing, is preaching Christ. We're not interested in preaching
pop psychology. We're not interested in preaching
moralisms. We're not interested in preaching
theology or doctrine or church history. We're not interested
in entertaining folks. We're interested in preaching
Christ. Why? Because we're preaching
to dying men and they need a savior. You need a savior. You need one
who's able to stand in your stead before God. You need one that's
able to represent you before God. One who's able to present
himself on your behalf. One who is righteous in the sight
of God. One who can bear the penalty
of God's wrath for your sin and put your sin away. See, I might
be able to give you some trinkets of truth that will help you to
be a better person. But it's like I was talking to
somebody this week and they said, they said, well, I'm an agnostic. I thought, well, you won't be
an agnostic long. This man was 70 years old. He said, I don't
know if there's a God or not. You're gonna know one day. The
moment you close your eyes, you're gonna know there's a God. A real
nice guy, and he said, he said, my pattern for life is to live
by the golden rule. And I just treat folks the way
I want them to treat me. And I said, well, Mike, you're
obviously a very nice guy, and that's a good way to live. And
I would say to you, that's a good way to live. You ought to live
that way. You ought to treat folks the
way you want them to treat you. That's a good way to get along
with folks in this world. It will do you no good standing
before God. You see, the folks that you treat
good in this life are not the ones that are going to be judging
you. The one that's going to judge you is a holy God who demands
absolute perfection. He's not satisfied with your
best. He's not satisfied with you doing good to other folks
in order to satisfy Him. There is a God with whom we must
do, and He's holy. And He accepts nothing less than
absolute perfection. And living by the golden rule
is not going to cut it. It's not going to cut it. You need a Savior. I need a Savior. We need one who's been anointed
by God. That's what Christ means. We
need a Messiah. We need one who has come in the
full power of the Spirit of God as the God-man to do for us what
we could not do for ourselves. And so Paul says, all I'm concerned
about is preaching Him. Just preaching Him, just lifting
Him up. Because He's the one you need, He's the one I need. Therefore, whether it were I
or they, so we preach, and so you believe. Verse 12, and if
Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some of
you that there is no resurrection of the dead? There were actually
people in the church at Corinth who denied the resurrection. And Paul says, you've denied
the resurrection, you've denied the gospel. There's no hope.
There's no salvation apart from the resurrection. The only hope
that you have to be raised from the dead is that the Lord Jesus
Christ was raised from the dead. But if there be no resurrection
of the dead, then is Christ not risen? Now the Lord has already
given ample evidence of His resurrection. by manifesting himself to Cephas,
to the 500, to James, to the other apostles. He's fulfilled
all the prophecies that were made about his death, burial,
and resurrection in the Old Testament. A passage we read a moment ago
from Hebrews chapter 1. God, who at sundry times and
in divers manners, through all these different types and shadows,
spoke to our fathers through the prophets in times past, hath
now spoken unto us by his Son. He's fulfilled all the promises
of God. The scripture says, are yea and
amen in Christ. And Paul said, if Christ be not
risen, then there's no hope. There's no hope. And if Christ
be not risen, verse 14, then is our preaching vain and your
faith is also vain. If there's no resurrection, what
are we doing? If there's no hope to be able
to spend it... You see, God never promised a
life of ease in this world. He never promised a life without
sickness. He never promised a life without
trouble. He never promised a life without
death. What he did promise was eternal
life. And this is the record that God
has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life,
and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. That's
what He promised. And in His mercy and grace, He's
ordained lots of things for us to have to suffer in this life.
in order that we might set our affections on things above, where
Christ is seated at the right hand of God, not on things of
the earth. This earth is so temporal. It's
so fading. And the more you grow in grace,
the more you understand Solomon's words. When Solomon said, vanity
of vanities, it's all vanity, it's all empty. All the pleasures
and pursuits of man. And man at his very best state,
man at his very best state is altogether vanity. He's empty. There's nothing to him. If there's no resurrection, you
see this is all about life after death. It's all about eternal
life. It's all about hope that God
gives to His people to be in His presence forever without
sin. If you deny the resurrection,
everything's gone. If Christ died and He wasn't
raised from the dead, what hope do I have for resurrection? Yay, verse 15, if Christ did
not raise from the dead, we are found false witnesses of God
because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ
whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. Your resurrection and the resurrection
of the Lord Jesus Christ are inseparably linked. You can't
have one without the other. For if the dead rise not, then
is not Christ raised. Comfort ye one another with these
words. Oh, I so want us to think about
our resurrection. I want you to think about your
resurrection. I want you to think about going to heaven. And I want you to have hope,
a sure hope, based on sure promises, based on the infallibility, the
truthfulness, the faithfulness of God's Word. Oh, what hope! And if Christ be not raised,
Your faith is in vain and you're still in your sins. You see, the death of the Lord
Jesus Christ on Calvary's cross means nothing without the resurrection. If all God did was exercise His
judgment against Christ and didn't raise Him from the dead, we would
have no evidence that God was satisfied with the sacrifice
that Christ made. Christ as our Redeemer did not
go to the cross in order to make an offer of salvation to you
and me. He went to the cross to offer himself as a sacrifice
to the Father. Was the Father pleased? Did the
Father see the travail of His soul? Was the Father satisfied? The proof of that is that God
Almighty could not allow His Holy One to see corruption. He
was obligated to raise Him from the dead because He was fully
satisfied with the sacrifice that He made on behalf of His
people. The resurrection of Christ is the positive proof that God
has given to His church Wicked and perverse generation seeketh
after a sign Everybody wants to sign. Well, give me a sign
show me some miracle The Pharisees came so we we come we want to
see miracles performed here that you performed up in Galilee We
heard about what you did up there. We want you to do them here The Lord said no miracles gonna
be given you except for the sign of Jonah That's the miracle, the miracle
of the resurrection. Jonah, who spent three days and
three nights in the belly of the whale, and then was miraculously
brought back to life. That's the sign. And God's people
just believe it. They've got the testimony of
scripture, they've got the voice of God, they've got the testimony
of the Holy Spirit, they've got the new birth, and they can't
not believe what the Lord has said. All my hope, all my hope
is just bound up in what God has declared. And if there's
no resurrection, there's no truth, I'm still in my sins. There's
no hope of eternal life. It's all vanity. Let's just eat,
drink and be merry. Let's give up on religion. Let's
give up on God. Let's just eat, drink and be
merry. Tomorrow we're going to die. Let's just indulge ourselves
in all the pleasures of this world because it doesn't matter. That's what the Lord is going
to go on to say. Look what he says. Verse 18. Then they also which are fallen
asleep in Christ are perished. All of your loved ones who have
passed hoping in Christ, they're just gone. If in this life only we have
hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. I've heard self-righteous, pharisaical,
do-gooders say, well, you know, if there was no life after death,
I'd want to live my life here on this earth for Jesus. It's
not what God says. God says eat, drink, and be merry.
Tomorrow you're going to die if there's no resurrection, if
there's no life after death. And we're, of all people, most
miserable. We're deceived. We're idiots. Why would we do
what we're doing? Why would we believe what we
believe? We just, we're fools. That's what the Lord, if there's
no resurrection, if Christ wasn't raised, if there's no hope of
eternal life, this is all foolishness. Is it? You know, the other application
of this is, That all the foolishness that takes place in man-made
religion, that puts all the emphasis on how you live your life in
this world, and denies the atoning work of Christ? It's just... If in this life
only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
Religious people are miserable. All their hope, all their hope
is what they can see in this life. And they're looking to
see if there's improvement. They're looking to see if they're
getting progressively better. They're comparing themselves
to one another. They're self-righteously looking down their nose at one
another. They're setting themselves up under the law. They have nothing
for hope in the atoning work of Christ and they are, of all
men, most miserable. The most miserable people in
this world are religious folks who don't know Christ. Going through all the pretending. But now, Oh child of God, but now this
is not the case. Christ did die. He did rise again
according to the scriptures. He is the firstborn among many
brethren. He did ascend back up into glory
and take with him the names of those for whom he lived and died.
and he ever lives to make intercession on behalf of his people and there's
coming a day when the trump of God will sound and the dead in
Christ will rise and those of us which are remain shall be
caught up together with them in the air and so shall we ever
be with the Lord comfort you one another with these words
here's our hope but now is Christ risen from the dead,
and become the firstfruits of them that sleep. For since by
man came death." What man is he talking about? He's talking
about Adam. Do not eat of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil. And the day in which you eat
of that tree, you shall surely die. And Adam ate, and he died. He didn't die physically right
then, but he died spiritually. Separated from God, put out of
the garden. A lamb had to be slain. Blood
had to be shed. Adam's nakedness had to be clothed.
And you and I were in the loins of Adam, and when Adam died,
we died. He cast the entire human race
into spiritual darkness. And until God shows us mercy,
we were born blind and we'll die blind. We were born spiritually
dead and we'll die spiritually dead if we die spiritually dead. Scripture talks of two deaths
Person to the second death that's eternal separation from God Don't
don't fear your first death Fear that second death so here's the
truth if a man's born twice he only dies once If he's only born
once he dies twice and We've got to be born again to
escape that second death. The first death is not the one
you need to worry about. That's going to come and you've watched
people die. I've watched people die. It doesn't
take long. The second death, that's an eternal
death. That's the one we need to be
concerned about, isn't it? Since by man came death, by man
came also the resurrection of the dead. Now who's the second
man being spoken of there? That's the last Adam. You see
what the first Adam could not do in the perfect environment
of paradise. The first Adam was unable to
be faithful to God. You and I were unable to be faithful
to God in the best of environments. We couldn't resist the devil.
We disobeyed God. We died. The Lord Jesus Christ,
the last Adam, came into this world, suffered the contradictions
of men, suffered the assault of Satan, born of a woman, born
under the law, inspected by the law at every moment of his life,
and came out victorious. Conquered death. Got the victory. And so by the first Adam came
death, but by the second man came eternal life. Every man, verse 23, in his own
order, Christ the firstfruits, afterwards they that are Christ
at His coming. They that are Christ. Christ
didn't die for everybody. He laid down His life for His
sheep. Then, then cometh the end. The end is coming. When he shall have delivered
up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have put
down all rule and all authority and all power, Do you think for a second that
our God is in any way threatened by the rebellion of man? By the
unbelief of man? The scripture says He scoffs
at man. He laughs at him. He holds him
in derision. So who are you to shake your
fist at me? There's going to come a day,
all rule, all authority, all power, every knee shall bow and
every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ to the glory of
God. Oh, how I want to confess that
now, don't you? I want to know that right now.
Because in that day, it'll be too late. For He must reign till he hath
put all enemies under his feet. The Father said to the Lord Jesus
Christ, Sit thou here at my right hand until I make thine enemies
thy footstool. You see, you and I came into
this world at enmity with God. God-haters. You say, well, I've
never hated God. If you really believe that, I
fear, I fear that you still do and you don't know it. Because
God says you were at enmity with Him. You hated Him. You did not believe Him. He's going to put all of His
enemies at His feet. He's going to sit them right
down there at His feet. And the last enemy? that shall
be destroyed is death. Oh, death, where is your victory? Oh, grave, where is your strength? The sting of death is sin. The
strength of sin is the law. Christ has fulfilled the law.
That's what He came to do. He came to conquer death. He rose from the dead. You don't
have to fear death. Not if you're looking to Christ.
John chapter 11, when our Lord came to Martha, she was grieving
over the death of her brother Lazarus. Lord, if you had been
here, my brother would not have died. But Lord, I believe that
whatever you ask the Father, even now, He'll do it for you. Martha, you believe in the resurrection? Oh yes, Lord. I believe that
my brother will rise again in the last day. Martha, I am the
resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though
he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth
in me shall never die. Martha, Believest thou this? Yea, Lord, I believe that Thou
art the Christ, the Son of the living God." Can you join your voice with
Martha? Can you say, Yea, Lord, I believe
that You're the Christ. You're the Anointed One. You're
the one who came in the power of the Holy Spirit to do for
me what I could not do for myself. You're the one that reversed
the curse of my father Adam and brought life to your people. You're the one that fulfilled
all righteousness and satisfied the law. You're the one who paid
for the sins of his people and put them away. You are life eternal. This is life. This is life eternal,
that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ
whom thou hast sent. I am the way, the truth, and
the life. No man can come to the Father
but by me. Oh, what hope. I wish I could tell you that
the rest of your life here on this earth is gonna be without
trouble. I can't. Can't tell you that. Matter of
fact, if you believe the gospel, you're going to be bringing a
new set of problems into your life that you wouldn't have if
you didn't believe the gospel. But I can tell you this, God
never promised a bed of roses, but He did promise eternal life. Eternal life. Life with Him. Oh, what comfort ye one another
with these words. Let's pray. Our Heavenly Father,
we're thankful. We're thankful for the resurrection
of the Lord Jesus Christ and for the hope that you have put
into the hearts of your people of knowing that as Christ was
raised from the dead, so will we. We ask, Lord, that You would
be merciful to our children, to those who are yet strangers
to Your grace, and that You would cause them. Cause them, Lord. You're going to have to do it.
They won't come on their own. They won't believe. Despite all
the persuading, despite all the evidence, they will not believe
unless you make them to believe. Oh Lord, we pray that you would
do it. We ask that you would do it for Christ's sake. For
it's in his name we pray. Amen. 103. Let's stand together. Number
103. CCoSp4 3.50 (-1.00?) One day when heaven was filled
with His praises, one day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin, dwelt among men, my
example is He. Living, He loved me. Dying, He saved me. Buried, He carried my sins far
away. Rising, He justified freely forever. One day, He's coming, a glorious
day. One day they led Him up Calvary's
mountain, One day they nailed Him to die on the tree. Suffering, anguish, despised
and rejected, Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He. Living, He loved me. Dying, He saved me. Buried, He carried my sins far
away. Rising, He justified freely forever. One day He's coming, O glorious
day. One day they left him alone in
the garden. One day he rested from suffering
free. Angels came down o'er his tomb
to keep vigil. Hope of the hopeless, my Savior
is He. Living, He loved me. Dying, He saved me. Buried, He carried my sins far
away. Rising, He justified freely forever. One day He's coming, O glorious
day. One day the grave could conceal
him no longer, One day the stone rolled away from the door. Then he arose, over death he
had conquered, Now is ascended, my Lord, evermore. Living, He loved me. Dying, He saved me. Buried, He carried my sins far
away. Rising, He justified freely forever. One day He's coming, O glorious
day. One day the trumpet will sound
for His coming. One day the skies with His glory
will shine. Wonderful day His beloved one's
bringing. Glorious Savior, this Jesus is
mine. Living He loved me. Dying He saved me. Buried he
carried my sin far away, Rising he justified freely forever,
One day he's coming, O glorious day! Thank you.
