Jeremiah chapter 15. My text will be found in verse 19.
Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring
thee again, and thou shalt stand before me. And if thou take forth
the precious from the vile, Thou shalt be as my mouth. Let them
return unto Thee, but return not Thou unto them." The title of my message is, The
Work of a Faithful Preacher. The Work of a Faithful Preacher.
Now, Scripture tells us plainly that God's gift unto men is this. that He send preachers, some
apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastor-teachers. This is the greatest gift that
God can give a nation, a people, is to send His men to preach His gospel. And here we have one such man,
Jeremiah. If there was ever a man of God
apart from the Lord Jesus Christ, a preacher of the gospel, that
suffered, it's Jeremiah. Jeremiah was a man that preached
the gospel and yet his whole message was not one that was
to be met with repentance, but rather it was a message of destruction. A message of God's judgment because
of the sins of men. He was called the weeping prophet. Why is that? Because I tell you,
He loved those people that He preached to. He loved them greatly. He longed for their repentance,
and yet His message was they would not repent. That's what
the Lord had told Him. He says in In verse 14 and verse
7, listen to him pray. Oh Lord, though our iniquities
testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake. For our
backslidings are many, and we have sinned against thee, O the
hope of Israel, the Savior thereof, in time of trouble. Why shouldst
thou be as a stranger in the land, and a wayfaring man that
turneth aside to Terry for the night? Why shouldst thou be as
a man astonished, as a mighty man that cannot save? Yet Thou,
O Lord, art in the midst of us, and we are called by Thy name.
Leave us not." You see his love, his prayer, his intercession
for them? But what was God's Word unto
them? The Lord said to this people, Thus they have loved to wander,
they have refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept
them. He will now remember their iniquities
and visit their sins. In our chapter, the Lord here
He tells Jeremiah in chapter 15, he says, "...though Moses
and Samuel were to stand before me, I will would not hear them
for this people." It shall come to pass. This is
not going to be an if. This is going to be the when.
It shall come to pass. When they say to thee, where
do we go? God says He's cast us out. Where do we go? He said,
I'll tell you where you'll go. You'll either go to death, famine,
or the sword. The dogs will tear you up or
you'll be led captive. Whatever I appoint to you, that's
where you're going to go. It's a very message of doom. God gave this message of wrath
and judgment. And He calls this people an evil
people that refuses to hear His words. He says, I will not pity
them. I will destroy them. In chapter 14, you can even look
and see this later, Judah is at this time in a famine. They're starving to death. God
has put a famine in the land and they still will not come. They still would not heed His
Word. His message was grievous and
unpopular and rejected. This was the message Jeremiah
was commanded to preach. Doom, doom, doom. And even so was he rejected. But they loved false prophets.
They loved to hear the smooth words. They said, oh no, the Lord won't
be so cruel. The Lord won't cause judgment
to come on us, but He'll give us peace. Don't you pay any attention
to Jeremiah. And you know what they did to
Jeremiah? They put him in a pit. That's
where he was in this text we're reading here. He was in a pit. It was a slime pit. And he had sunken down to where
his armpits were. He was full of the mire. And
consider this, that he had to endure this. His own dung and
urine would fill the pit that he was in full of the stench We see the prophet here who loved
his people, who said, I didn't lend from them. They didn't lend
from me. I didn't take anything from them. I loved them. I wanted
them to repent and hear Your Word. I wanted them to believe
on Christ. I wanted them to know the Gospel
and they hated me because of this. And here Jeremiah is in
the middle of this pit And he's remembering the promises of God.
Verse 10, Woe is me, my mother, thou that has borne me a man
of strife and contention in the old earth, I have not lent to
usury, nor men have lent to me usury, yet everyone doth curse
me. The Lord said, this is His promise,
verily, it shall be well with thy remnant. Verily, I will cause
the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil, in the time
of affliction." God promised Jeremiah, He said, I'm going
to watch over you. And when that enemy comes to
destroy this nation, they will not hurt you. I will keep you. And yet here he is. Circumstances
seem to be opposed to what God said. The circumstances are different. They appear to be opposed to
the promises of God. This was God's prophet. This
was God's man. And he says this, shall iron
break the northern iron? Is God's Word going to fail?
That's what he's asking. Lord, You said this. Will it
fail? Will your word promises fail?
And this is what you said about those people that put me in this
pit. You said, thy substance and thy treasures I will give
to spoil without price and that for all thy sins even in thy
borders I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land
which thou knowest not. For a fire is kindled in my anger
which shall burn upon you. That's a promise of God to those
that put Him in the pit. O Lord, Thou knowest. Remember
me. Visit me. Revenge me of my persecutors.
Take me not away in Thy longsuffering. No, for Thy sake I have suffered
rebuke. He said, Thy words I have found,
I did eat them. Thy word was unto me a joy and
rejoicing in my heart, for I am called by Thy name." Oh Lord
God, he's saying, look, I believed you. I trusted in Christ. I was called by your name. I
didn't make myself a prophet. You called me to this work. You
gave me the promises. And here I am, everything seems
to be opposed to what you said. I sat not in the assembly of
the mockers and rejoiced not with them. I sat alone. I was
by myself. I was full of indignation just
like you concerning their sin. Yet why is my pain perpetual,
my wound incurable and refuse it to be healed? Why is it opposite of what you
said? And notice the strong language. Will thou be altogether unto
me as a liar? Don't look down on him. You and
I both have said it. Maybe not in those words, but
we've said it. When things are opposed to what
God promises, we often ask why. Why? You promised this and this
is this. Why are these two opposed to
one another? Are you altogether add to me
as a liar and as waters that fail? The Lord speaks so tenderly then
to the prophet, you would expect a lightning bolt, but God returned.
God speaks not anger, but rather in tenderness. And he saith to
his prophet, If thou return, then will I bring thee again,
and thou shalt stand before me. And if thou takest forth the
precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth. Let them
return unto thee, but return not thou unto them." Are you
such a rebellious child? Because that's all you can say
about Jeremiah. He was unbelieving. He was unbelieving. Are you such a rebellious child
to call me a liar? And you know what God says? Return. Return Return from your rebellious
and unbelieving mood, return from your fretful disposition
and attitude, and cease from your murmuring and accusations
against me. Oh, rebellious child, return
to me with a better mind, a better mind, a mind that is fitting your position. Isn't that what the apostle says,
that we should do those things that are becoming unto our calling? Let this mind be in you which
was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, thought
it not robbery to be equal with God, but made of himself no reputation. Let that mind be in you when
you suffer. Let that mind be in you. that
our Lord also suffered. Consider Him who endured such
contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest you be wearied
in your mind. Is not the Master greater than
the servant?" Yes. He endured suffering. Are we
not too to endure suffering in this life? Yes. Yes, we are. Let the mind of faith look not
to the circumstances and pains of life, but rather look to God,
the God of all providence, and cling tightly with both fists
of faith to His Word rather than what you feel or experience in
this world. Come, you weary and tired saint,
and return to God in faith. Stand before Him in faith and
none of your foes will be able to resist it." He who adds to this text, he
adds to this text, "...if you take forth then the precious
from the vial, you shall be as my mouth, and let this people
return to you, but you must not return to them." It's my heart
that God would give us this text because in this we find the work
of a true minister of God. A true minister of God must,
if he's going to be used, he must believe God. Oftentimes
we, even as ministers like Jeremiah, are turned aside to unbelief
and fear. When our circumstances don't
seem to match the promises, we begin to fear. But if we are
to be used, we must change our mind about that. He said, if
you return, then will I put you back into the position that I
put you in to begin with. I'll take you out of the pit,
and I'll put you back out there, and you shall be my mouth, you
shall be my voice. And this is the work that He
has given to His men. First of all, to take the precious
from the vile. Take the precious from the vile. Then we have this promise. We shall be as his mouth. And
thirdly, we have been given a command. Return not to them. Let them
return to you, but you do not return to them. These three things,
these are my three points. So the work of the ministry,
most of all, is going to be the main focus today, which is taking
the precious from the vile. What does this mean? Well, I've
read it that some men call it the condition, a condition. To take the precious from the
vile is a condition. But first of all, in order to
understand this, we have to know what is precious and what's vile. What does that mean? Precious.
What's precious? Well, if it's going to be precious,
it has to be two things. It has to be both rare and valuable. Rare and valuable. Now, I'll
tell you what. Air is precious. It's valuable. But I tell you, it's not rare.
It's everywhere. It's everywhere. So air is one
of those things that, yeah, it's good, and we have it, we need
it, we have to have it for life, but it's not rare, so it doesn't
have that necessity, so everybody gets to enjoy air. Okay? Rain, it falls upon the just
and the unjust. It falls from heaven. It waters
the ground. It brings forth the fruit. We
need rain. We need water. But again, it's common. It's
common among us. We can all enjoy it. We all have
to have it to live. There are certain minerals that
are rare, but not precious. Now, if you're a chemist and
you're a geologist and you go out and you find some rare mineral
that has no value to human beings. Now, it might be exciting to
you, but really it doesn't concern us at all. We don't care. If
it's not a mineral we need for life, it's not really something
that we care. It's usually not even beautiful. So, that's not
what we would call precious. Certain flowers may be rare.
But if they don't taste good, they don't have any nutritional
value, we really don't care. They're not precious. They may
be rare, but it's not precious. But what is precious has to be
both rare and valuable. We usually associate this with
diamonds and rubies and gold. Why? Because they're beautiful.
Because they're valuable, we can use them to trade for other
things that we want. They're useful, but they are
rare, so it makes them extremely precious. Okay, so what then is vile? Vile
is something common and cheap. That's what vile is. But not
only that, it's not only common and cheap, but something that
is vile is filthy. Something that's vile is polluted,
unclean, nasty, and abandoned. Something that is cast out because
you loathe it and you can't stand it. I know that Joanne would probably
say those GLAD plug-ins are vile. Those are vile to you because
it's infectious to you. It hurts you. It's painful. It's loathing to you because
it makes you sick. So you have to cast them out. You don't want them. They're
vile to you. I think of those clothes that
were worn by the leper full of pus and blood and dung, urine. They were to be cast out because
of the stench. That's vile. But the Scriptures do not limit
things precious and vile just to things, do they? The Scriptures
also associate what's precious and vile to people. Certain people in the Scriptures
are precious. They are both rare and valuable. And some people in the Scriptures
are vile, which is common and filthy. The daughters of Zion
are said to be precious. Precious. The sons of God are
said to be precious. The saints of God are said to
be precious in His sight. But you remember the sons of
Eli, they made themselves vile when they offered their own incense,
their fornication. They made themselves vile and
unclean. Job said this about his nature.
Behold, I am vile." Vile. So the Scripture says that this
could be said of persons. God's Word shows that these two
things are intermingled together. There's precious mixed with the
vile. That's why God commanded the
prophet and all preachers to do this, to take the precious
from the vile. Why? Because they're all mixed
in. They're all mixed in. Right now, listen to me, you
are sitting either next to a precious person or a vile person. So they're mixed in. Every time
the gospel is preached, it is preached in generally to both
precious saints and vile sinners at the same time in the same
message. Therefore, we are bidden to take,
to separate the precious from the vile. And listen, if you
are to take the precious from the vile, don't you realize then
that there is more vile than there are precious? By the very
definition of the Word, since it's rare, it has to be less
than that which is common. So every time that we preach,
we understand this, that there's going to be more vile than there
are precious. But it is our command by God
to separate those rare and valuable persons from those vile and corrupted
persons. And so then, that's what I intend
to do this morning, is to set before you what is precious and
what is vile, so as to see what you are. What are you? And so the first thing about
precious, I want to see the precious characters. Who are these precious
persons? These sons and daughters of Zion.
Listen, they are those who are loved and chosen of the Father
before the foundation of the world. They are those chosen
of God and loved of God before the foundation of the world.
Jeremiah 31 verse 3, God says, I have loved thee. with an everlasting love. I have loved thee. Therefore,
with loving kindness, have I drawn thee." The Scripture says of
the elect, these two men representing both precious and vile are Jacob
and Esau. You remember that Jacob have
I loved, but Esau have I hated. before they were born, not having
done good or evil. God says, I've loved this one
and despised this one. These are persons to whom God
has given to Jesus Christ that He should redeem by His blood.
David said this in Psalm 49 and verse 8, the redemption of the
soul is precious. Precious. And it ceases forever. When one
of those precious souls was redeemed by Christ, that was the end of
it. It was done forever. He was redeemed
forever. Peter calls that blood of the
Redeemer precious. Precious. You were redeemed not
with silver and gold, corruptible things of your vain conversation,
but with the precious blood. Christ. And these precious sons
of God, the Holy Spirit will come to them and quicken them
to life and faith in Christ. And the Holy Spirit will dwell
in these people, causing them to grow in the grace and knowledge
of Christ, and they shall never perish. Why? They are precious. They're valuable and rare in
the sight of God. These precious children. Now
the people who are not precious, people by themselves, these precious
people are not in themselves precious. That is, they themselves
are not valuable. In themselves they do not merit
the love and favor and redemption of Christ. The Scripture plainly
reveals that these elect, redeemed, and quickened children are by
nature no better than anyone else. No better. Scripture plainly tells us that
we were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. You precious children, you understand
this very plainly. By your own experience of grace,
you know that in yourselves dwelleth no good thing. For to will is
present with us, but how to perform that which is good I find not. There are two natures, two opposing,
struggling natures in our breast. We know that we are just like
all the other sons of Adam's fallen race and are precious
only, made precious only by the free and sovereign grace of God
alone. Over in 2 Timothy, I'm going
to read these to you, 2 Timothy. Chapter 2, verse 21, "...if a man therefore purge
himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified,
and meet for the Master's use, and prepared unto every good
work." The Apostle, he says of us who are chosen, redeemed sons
of God. He says this, that you by nature
were thieves, murderers, drunkards, fornicators. This is what we
were by nature. But you are purged. But you are
washed with the blood of Christ. We are vessels made holy by the
work of God. It is therefore no difference
in ourselves, but the difference is holy of God. Today, if you are precious in
the sight of God, we recognize it is because only of God. God in sovereign grace alone
has made us precious. The difference between Jacob
and Esau was this, God loved Jacob and God hated Esau. If God had not chosen a remnant,
if God had not chosen some to be precious sons, we would have
all been as Sodom and Gomorrah. None of us could have redeemed
ourselves except Christ redeem us. We could never have redeemed
ourselves or make ourselves holy before God if the Holy Ghost
had not given us a new nature. We never would have become precious
in the sight of God. But you who are precious, who
are you? You are those who believe on
the Lord Jesus Christ. You are precious. Do you not
know that? You are rare. This is not common. Faith in Christ is not common.
It is a work of God alone in the soul. Man cannot will faith. Faith is a will of God. It is
the work of God in you that is the work of God that works in
you both to will and do of His good pleasure. So you who are precious, you
are the ones who believe on Christ. And we are precious in the sight
of God as we have seen in our union with Christ. I love this scripture. In 1 Corinthians
1, in verse 30, the apostle says this, that no flesh should go
in His presence, but of Him, Of God are you in Christ, Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom
and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. You see, you're
precious because God put you in Christ and Christ made you
precious. The Holy Spirit made you precious. And you know what? You're precious.
Now that's not haughty, that's not being arrogant, that's just
truth. You're precious. Well, I don't
feel precious. I'm not asking you to feel precious. You are precious to God. Not to this world, not to the
lost. They'll hate you just like they
did Jeremiah. You're precious to God. So who
are the vile characters? These men are seen of God as dung and
refuse. These are men by nature vile
because of the fall of Adam, and if left to their own devices
and imagination and self-righteousness, they will only fill up the measure
of iniquity. These vile men live and practice
sinful lusts and passions These are all who refuse to believe
on Christ alone and defile His perfect offering by adding their
own obedience to His. That's who's vile. Vile. Even now, these two characters
are intermingled here. Some of you believe on Christ
alone. Some of you are trusting Christ plus your goodness. They may be even in the same
family or in the same congregation, but it is my business to separate
the precious from the vile. to show you, to take out the
precious and show you the marks of a precious man. The marks
of a precious man is he believes Christ. He has a new nature. He loves the gospel. He loves
God's people. These are precious. These are
the marks of the precious. Is it resonating with you? Do
you not see who you are? Are you precious? Are you precious to Him? Let
me ask you this, is He precious to you? If He's precious to you, I know
this, you're precious to Him. Precious have the Holy Spirit
dwelling in them, they know their depravity, they know and flee
to Christ, Their precious will believe on Christ and hope in
His mercy until the end. They will love Christ and love
His people. The vile, on the other hand, is secretly working
against God and His saints. They are opposed to the salvation
by grace and cling to some work of the flesh, some act of the
will to serve, to save their souls. Those who are vile supposed
to have some goodness in themselves, some measure of value in their
person to merit God's favor. These vile men suppose God owes
them favor. Which are you? Which are you? Next, I want us to see this as
not only persons but doctrines. Men who are called of God are
to separate the precious from the vile doctrines. Look at this country and see
these two precious and vile doctrines hold under the same banner of
Christianity. Yet they must be distinguished
by the true servants of God. These precious doctrines must
be exalted, magnified, and proclaimed. as well as to expose the vile
doctrines. Now I know this, sometimes when
I preach to you that believe and know the gospel, I tell you
of these vile doctrines often. And I know some people say, well,
why do you harp on them? Because I must distinguish, I
must show you and hold them up. I must show you the difference
between the two, so as you're not confused when you hear it,
so that you're not swayed or deceived by their lies. And so
what is the precious doctrine? Well, the doctrine of Trinity
is precious, isn't it? God the Father, God the Son,
and God the Holy Spirit, yet one God manifest in three distinct
persons. Why is this? This is precious
because each one of the Trinity has their work in the salvation
of our souls. It was the Father that chose.
You know this, the Son didn't choose. It was the Father. The
Father chose His elect. That's His work in our salvation. The Son had a work. The Son of
God had a work to redeem us and to provide our righteousness
as our surety and high priest. And the Spirit of God has His
work, which is to call you, to indwell you, and to point you
to Christ and give you such faith as you need to the end. See,
the whole work of God is in the Trinity. You know what's vile?
The doctrine of oneness. There's a doctrine that supposes
that there is no division of persons. There's only one, and
He puts on three different hats. They say, well, there's only
Jesus, and He just puts on the hat of the Father. And then He
goes over here and says, now I'm the Son. Okay, and He goes
over here and says, now I'm the Spirit. John says, He that denieth
the Father, denieth the Son. And who denieth the Son? He denieth
the Father. It's a vile doctrine. And it
must be opposed. Why? Because the scripture says,
for there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father,
the Word, and the Spirit, and these three are one. The second doctrine is the doctrine
of God's sovereign grace, which is none other than the gospel.
That God chose a people. That Christ redeemed these people. and that the Holy Spirit will
call these people. God says this, I am God and there
is none else declaring the end from the beginning, saying my
counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure. Friend, God
does not yield his pleasure to the pleasure or will of man.
God is sovereign. God is sovereign in all things
in providence, all things in time and eternity, all events
are purposed of God and not one of them shall fail, especially
in spiritual things. What is true of time and providence
is true of spiritual matters. God is sovereign. in all spiritual
matters. And this doctrine of God's sovereign
grace is to us who are precious, precious. We glorify the Father in grace
who chose us. We glorify the Son who in free
grace represented us and obtained our righteousness before God.
We glory in the Holy Spirit who has quickened us and given us
life and faith in Christ. We glory in this that all that
Christ saved, He won't lose. Therefore, the sovereign grace
of God is what we proclaim because it is the gospel. Now, you've
heard it termed Calvinism. I don't particularly like that
because what we hold as Calvinism, most people don't even know what
it is. They just have a negative view of it right off the bat.
They have no clue what it means. So I don't even care. I just
say the gospel. Because that's what Calvinism
is, is a shortcut of the gospel, isn't it? It's just a shortcut. So we proclaim the gospel of
God's free grace in Christ. And so then, to separate the
vile, what is the vile doctrine? The vile doctrine is works and
free will religion. It is opposed to the sovereign
grace of God. It is opposed to the gospel.
See how they elevate the will and works of man and make salvation
of God dependent and captive to the sovereign will of man.
That is a vile doctrine. And those who believe in such
a vile doctrine and preach such a vile doctrine are themselves
vile people. Make no mistake. Now, is that
message popular? Is that going to win friends
and influence people? You suppose you tell your friends,
your message is vile. You know why your message is
vile? Because you're a vile person. You see, I have to proclaim this.
It's not popular. I'm not going to be liked by
many people because of it. I don't care. My mind is set
to separate the precious from the vile. This is my work. And what about those precious
and vile experiences? Everyone who is precious has
an experience of grace, and this is precious. The Spirit of God
came to you. You weren't looking for Him,
you weren't seeking Him, and He came to you. Like God came
to Adam, who ran from God. God came to him, preached the
Word to him, clothed him, made a sacrifice for him, and saved
him. That's exactly our experience. He came to us, He saved us, He
redeemed us, He gave us a new heart, a new nature, so as now
we love God and serve God. That is precious. It's a precious
experience. And now we are forever changed. Not the old man. The old man
hasn't changed at all. The new man has changed. Now
we are different because we have a new nature. But wherever there's a true precious
experience, there's always a vile counterfeit. Now listen to this
one. Some men hear about sin and the
depravity of man and they identify with it. They say, yeah, preacher,
I know what you're talking about. I'm a sinner too. Yeah, preacher,
I understand. I'm vile. I understand. I understand
I'm a sinner. And they suppose that just by
that knowledge they have the grace of God. Now, that's a vile
experience. If you have not not only known
your sin, but also come to Christ and repented of your sin. That's
a vile experience. You see, you must have both knowledge
of sin and repentance to Christ from sin. You can't have just
a knowledge of sin. I see people relishing. How many
people like to go in these groups and confess their sins? My name is so-and-so and I am
a drug addict. I abused my family, I did this,
I did that, I did this, I did that. They feel much better about
themselves, and suppose that's the grace of God. That is a vile
experience, except that experience comes with repentance and faith
in Christ alone. That is a vile experience all
by itself. And yet, I'm telling you, some
men bask in the fact that they're sinners, yet have no remorse
or repentance of it. That's a vile experience. It's
not true. Some men have an experience of
saying, I come to Christ, and they bring their work with them.
That's a vile experience. It's not a true experience of
grace. If you have the knowledge of
sin, but not the knowledge of Christ, you're still vile. And lastly, the precious practice
and the vile practice. Those who are precious, those
who believe in Christ, they also follow Christ. They obey the will of God. And what is the will of God?
It's not obscure. It's plain. The just shall live
by faith. The law that we follow is not
the law of Moses, but rather the law of love. We love Christ
and we love the brethren. That is the precious practice. That is the practice of all who
are precious in the sight of God. We love Him and we follow
Him. And you know what? We assemble
together to hear His Word. That's the practice of precious
people, of God's precious saints. Forsake not the assembling of
yourselves together as the manner of some is. Why? Because this
is where we're fed. This is where we're nourished.
This is where we see our marks as precious people. That encourages
us, strengthens us, motivates us, moves us to love and service. But what is the vile practice?
Listen, the vile practice is this idea that, well, I'm saved
and I don't need to hear the gospel. It's an option for me to attend
worship. Listen, that is the practice
of a deceived and vile person. Someone who cannot sit under
the sound of God's man, something's wrong with them. Something's
wrong. I know many people who are on
purpose living away from the gospel church. They say, no,
I'm doing fine. Oh, really? Yeah. God says you're
not. God says you're not. John said
they went out from us because they were not of us. If they
were of us, they would have no doubt continued where? With us. But they went out that it might
be manifest that they're not of us. You see, what that does
then is it, in practice, it separates the precious from the vile. And
you know what? God gives me this promise. If
I do that, I shall be as His mouth. I want you to understand that. I am the mouth of God to this
place and to all here. And he gives me an exhortation,
do not return to them. Let them return to you, but don't
return to them. If people leave the gospel and
go somewhere else, go away from the gospel, it is not the pastor's
responsibility to chase them down and sue their ruffled feathers. God said to his men, don't go
to them. Let them come back to you. Why? Because God's man is chosen of
God. And if they don't like that,
tough. Let them go. Let them go. If they are God's precious saints,
they will find a man to sit under. And that's my hope for anyone
that has ever left this assembly. My hope is that they find somewhere
to go. Some place to sit and hear God's
man. I hope that they are precious.
But I'm not going to run after them and soothe their ruffled
feathers because they were offended at some little something that
I said. I don't do that. Jeremiah would not do that. And
neither is any other God's man. We don't chase people. We're
not ambulance chasers. We proclaim the gospel and precious
people come to hear the precious gospel. Why? God's made you precious. That's why. And so then, may
God open our eyes to see the difference between precious and
vile. Are you His precious people? Do you believe His precious gospel?
Have you had His precious experience? Do you practice the practice
of the precious? You're precious. If you're not,
you're vile. May God reveal this to us. Let's stand and be dismissed
and pray.
