Acts chapter 2, and if you want
to hold your hand here, you can also turn to Romans 8. Acts chapter
2 and Romans 8, we'll be looking at both of these passages this
evening. Acts chapter 2, and the title
of the message is, The Significance, Results, and Benefits of Pentecost. I'll say it again, the significance
the results and the benefits of Pentecost. The Scripture says in Acts chapter
2 and verse 1, it says, And when the day of Pentecost was fully
come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly
there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there
appeared upon them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon
each of them. And they were filled with the
Holy Ghost and began to speak with other languages as the Spirit
gave them utterance." The significance of Pentecost. Now, here the apostles
of the Lord Jesus Christ, after he had risen from the dead and
ascended into glory, the apostles gathered themselves together
in one place at this time, and the Lord, at the day of Pentecost,
poured out His Holy Spirit on these men. These 120 in this
upper room, the Lord poured out His Spirit And it says that they
were given these cloven tongues. Now what this is, we rightly
don't know. But we know this, it was a sign.
It was a wonder. And by the Spirit of God, they
were given the ability to preach the gospel in the languages of
the people that were gathered together. Now, this Feast of
Pentecost, it was an important feast. It was one of three. There
were three feasts that the law required that every male of the
Israelites, of the Jewish nation, were to gather at Jerusalem.
One of those was a feast of tabernacles, you know, where they built those
booths and they worshiped, they had a celebration of how God
had been with them in the wilderness. And the other feast is the feast
of Passover. And this feast here is the feast
of Pentecost. Now, the two feasts, the feast
of the Passover and the feast of Pentecost were very near to
one another. Matter of fact, there was 50
days that separated Passover from Pentecost. Now this Feast
of Passover we know was instituted in Egypt when the children of
Israel were in bondage to Pharaoh. We know that the Lord instituted
this Passover Feast to show His power in delivering His people. And you remember, He said that
they were to take a lamb a spotless lamb. They were to slay it and
place the blood on the doorpost and the lentil of every house
of the children of Israel. And the Lord our God said, I'll
pass through Egypt this night and kill the firstborn of every
house without the blood. But he said to those, to the
Israelites, he said, when I see the blood, when I see the blood,
I will pass over you. Exodus 12, 13, that's what he
tells them. He said, when I see the blood,
I will pass over you. This feast of Passover was observed
by the Lord Jesus Christ with his disciples just 50 days prior
to this. Fifty days prior to this, He
was feasting with His disciples this celebratory, this feast
of Passover. And He did this before His death
because He was the Passover Lamb. The Lord Jesus Christ is the
anti-type. He is the one of which all those
lambs for all those centuries had been slain. They only pictured
Him who was a lamb slain before the foundation of the world.
The blood of Jesus Christ was shed for all that the Father
gave Him. And I tell you, all that the
Father gave Him, the blood of Christ, is upon their hearts,
and He will pass over all of His people. He has, by the blood
of Jesus Christ. We are assured of this in John
6, when the Lord said, This is the will of Him that has sent
Me, that of all which He hath given Me, I should lose nothing. How many will the Lord lose?
Nothing. He will lose nothing the Father
gave Him, but He will raise them up at the last day. We know that
Jesus is the Lamb of God because John the Baptist testified that
He is the Lamb of God. He said when he saw Him, Behold,
the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. We know that Jesus Christ is
a picture of this Passover, but what about this Feast of Pentecost?
What does this mean? What is this here for? Now, the
Feast of Passover were separated from Pentecost by 50 days. And
so after Passover, the men of Israel were to gather again.
You see, the Lord called them all into Jerusalem for this purpose,
to see the Passover Lamb. And now then he calls them back
again 50 days later at Pentecost so they may witness something
else. They can witness something else.
The men of Israel were to gather again and on this day the priests
were to take the first fruits of the wheat harvest. They were
to take two sheaves of wheat and they were to wave it before
the Lord. They were to wave it up and down
and side to side. Why? They did this as the first
fruits, they waved it before the Lord in order to show that
the success of the harvest belongs to God. The success You see,
they did this in honor to God. When they planted those crops,
all of the blessings of those crops, all the blessings of their
food, their being sustained, belonged to the work of God. Even so it is with the first
fruits of the harvest of all God's elect. As that priest waved
The wheat before God. Listen to me, the Lord Jesus
Christ, when He took His own blood before the presence of
God, He waved His blood, the work of His hands before the
Father, and God accepted His one offering for sin. He took His offering before God,
and has taken his place on the throne of God, and he has now
sent to us the firstfruits of his labor. The firstfruits of
his labor. What is the firstfruits of the
labor of the Lord Jesus Christ? It is the Holy Spirit. The Holy
Spirit is the result of Christ being accepted, His offering
being accepted to God. Now then, He pours out His Holy
Spirit upon all flesh. This is the first fruits. This
is what He promised. If you go back to John chapter
16, the Lord Jesus Christ promised this to His disciples. John 16
and verse 7. He said, Nevertheless, I tell
you the truth, it is expedient for you that I go away. For if
I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you. But if
I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he has come, he
will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment. Of sin, because they believe
not on me. Of righteousness, because I go
to the Father and you see me no more. Of judgment, because
the Prince of this world is judge. I have many things to say unto
you, but you cannot bear them now. Howbeit, when He, the Spirit
of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth, for He shall
not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear. That shall he
speak. and He will show you things to
come. He shall glorify Me, for He shall
receive of Mine and show it unto you all things that the Father
hath of Mine. Therefore said I, that He shall
take of Mine and show it unto you. You see, the Lord promised
the outpouring of the Holy Spirit after He ascended into glory. He promised the outpouring of
His work, the firstfruits of His labor, the Spirit of God.
And before Christ had died and rose again from the dead, we
know this, that the Holy Spirit is the only one who quickens
men to life. We know that the Holy Spirit
worked before the ascension and resurrection and re-ascension
of Jesus Christ. How do we know that? Well, you
remember that John chapter 3. The Lord Jesus Christ preaching
to Nicodemus, He said that you must be born of water and of
the Spirit. You must be born again of the
water and of the Spirit. Some people say that the water
is the Word of God and the Spirit. You must be born by the Gospel
and by the Spirit. Some people say that's water,
even the Spirit of God. Because in Ezekiel 47, that's
how He's pictured as a river of water. But He also tells us that He's
like the wind. The Lord Jesus said, the wind,
blow it where it wants to. You can hear the sound, but you
can't tell where it's coming and where it's going. So is everyone. that is born of the Spirit of
God. So the Spirit is like the wind. The Spirit is like the wind.
If you take the Hebrew word and the Greek word for spirit, both
are wind. That's what they are translated
at, wind. So the Spirit is like the wind
in that He is irresistible and uncontrollable of man. Isn't
that how the Spirit of God is? He's like the wind. Man can't
control Him. Man can't tell where He's coming
and where He's going. The wind of the Spirit moves
whithersoever He will. And the Spirit has been working
before the day of Pentecost on a chosen few, but now, but now,
the Spirit of God is poured out on all types of men, all ranks
of men, all races of men. The Spirit of God is not confined
as He was to that one nation before and a few here and there
in other nations. Now the Spirit of God is poured
out. None of us here are Jews. None
of us here belong to the seed of Abraham. This should be praiseworthy. This should be something that
we should give glory to God for because our ancestors had no
right to this. Yet now the Spirit of God is
poured out on all flesh. Scripture says that it suddenly
came like the sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind. And the Apostle tells us, they
said, what means this? They started speaking in other
languages that everybody could understand. They said, what's
the thing about this? And Peter said, this is a prophecy. This is a prophecy of God, and
it shall come to pass in the last day, saith God, I will pour
out my Spirit upon all flesh. Now what's the result of this
day of Pentecost? The result and benefits of Pentecost
of the pouring out of the Spirit of God as Christ is the first
fruits of His work He waved it before God, and it was accepted,
and God poured out His Spirit. He gave us His Spirit, the Spirit
of His promise, and He gave it for this cause,
to preach the gospel. The Spirit of God was poured
out on His men to preach His gospel. See that the command
of our Lord Jesus Christ was to go into the world and preach
the gospel to every creature. And then you see this little
group of men. They're huddled around each other.
They're praying. They're scared. It doesn't look
like this message is going to get very far. Until when? until the Spirit of God was poured
out on them, and then they began to preach the gospel. In Acts
chapter 2 and verse 11, after they had heard in their own languages,
what did they hear? The wonderful works of God. That's what they preached. They
said, how is it that every man hears these wonderful works of
God in their own language? You see, He gave them boldness. We may preach the gospel of Jesus
Christ boldly and confidently because the Holy Spirit has been
poured out. He's been poured out on those
who preach and those who hear and believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ. Look at this. Peter was a man
that denied the Lord here 50 days, 48, 49 days prior. He had denied the Lord because
he was scared of that little woman. That little maidservant,
he was scared to say he was part of Christ's little band. But now look at him. He says
in verse 22, you men of Israel, hear the words. Here's these
words. Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by
signs and wonders, you killed him is what he said. Isn't that
bold? Fifty days earlier, they were
that crowd of people. The same group was crying, crucify,
crucify! And Peter and all the other disciples
had fled. But now, the Holy Spirit has come, and boldness has come
on His men. And they preach, they proclaim
the gospel with boldness because of the Spirit of God. If you
look over in another chapter there, Chapter 4 and verse 8, Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost,
said unto them, You rulers of the people. Now he's not just
talking to the people, he's talking to the ones who actually persuaded
Pilate to kill Christ. He said, You rulers of the people,
elders of Israel. If we this day be examined of
the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made
whole, be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel,
that by the name, by the authority of Jesus of Nazareth, whom you
crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even doth by him does
this man stand whole. He told them the truth boldly,
without wavering. This was the result of the Spirit
of God. Aren't you glad for the Spirit
being poured out so Peter and John and all the apostles were
to preach boldly of the Lord Jesus Christ? Believer, let me ask you this. Do you fear to witness of your
Savior? Do you not know that your body
is the temple of this same Holy Spirit? Know you not that your body is
the temple of the Holy Ghost that lives, dwells in you, which
you have of God? And listen to me. You are not
your own. You've been bought with a price. The precious blood of Jesus Christ
has bought you. You do not own any part of you. Wouldn't that cause us to cease
murmuring and complaining if we would realize that we do not
own anything? That we do not own our body,
our soul, our mind, our spirit, all belongs to God. All you have belongs to Him. We are not our own. If you have been bought with
a price and you are not your own, you belong to God. If we would recognize that, if
the Spirit of God would teach us that, how bold would we be? How bold would we be? Let us
see, believer, that we have been given the earnest of the Spirit
of God. You, believer in Christ, have
been given this same spirit that the Apostle Peter had. That spirit
dwells in you. You don't belong to yourself,
you belong to him. See this, that he has given you
this same spirit. Go to Ephesians chapter 1. Ephesians chapter 1. See what
this Spirit is. See what the Holy Spirit is when
He's given to us who believe. In verse 13, it says, "...in
whom?" In Christ. "...you also trusted after that
you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation,
in whom also after you believed you were sealed with the Holy
Spirit of promise, which is the earnest..." of our inheritance
until the redemption of the purchased possession under the praise of
His glory. What does that word earnest mean?
It means down payment. You ever made a down payment
on something? You make a down payment, you
pledge that you're going to pay the rest. That you're going to
get that object or whatever it is you want. You put down on
a house, you're pledging, you're swearing that you're going to
pay the full price for that and that house is going to be yours.
The Lord Jesus Christ has paid the full price, but He has only
given us a down payment. The Spirit of God is the down
payment. And now that we have the Spirit
of God, we're waiting for the rest. That's what we're doing. We're waiting for the rest. The
rest is promised. The Spirit of God is given to
us. And Paul says that we are partakers of this first fruit
of the Spirit. Go to Romans chapter 8 now. Romans
chapter 8. In the 8th chapter of Romans,
the Paul deals with this matter of being partakers of the Spirit
of God. You who believe on Christ. He's
going to give us several benefits that we have as a result of the
Spirit of God coming. First of all, look at the first
verse here and see what benefits you have, believer, in Christ. He says, "...there is therefore
now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." The Spirit. You believer in Christ, listen. There is therefore, because God
has sent His Son to die for your sins, to give you His righteousness,
and now has applied it by His Holy Spirit, there is therefore
now no condemnation. Not for you. No condemnation
of God. Consider the great joy of this
benefit, this truth, that Christ has forever removed all your
sins. He has removed all your sins
from you. Your past sins, your sins now,
and even the sins you will commit later. The Lord Jesus Christ
has removed them all. He has by himself purged our
sins and sat down. The high priest, when he offered
those sacrifices year after year, never sat down. He was never
finished. But Christ, after offering one
sacrifice, sat down forever. Complete. There is therefore
now no condemnation. See Him ascended before the presence
of God with His own blood. See Him as He waved His firstfruits
before God's holy throne, and see that God has accepted His
one offering and raised Him from the dead. This is the message
of the Gospel, that our Christ is no longer dead, He's alive. He died once unto sin, but now
is risen without sin. He is seated on the right hand
of God. This is what the apostle in boldness
was preaching in Acts chapter 2. He said, Be it known unto
you, men and brethren, that this is the Lord Jesus Christ. This
Lord Jesus Christ. God raised Him from the dead.
Let's see, it's in verse 32 of Acts 2. He said, This Jesus hath
God raised up, whereof we are all witnesses. Therefore, being
by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father
the promise of the Holy Ghost, He has shed forth this which
you now see and hear. He goes on to say that God hath
made Him both Lord and Christ. Therefore, He sent His Holy Spirit
to call out His elect by the preaching of this gospel. Have
you believed on Christ? If you believed on Christ, you
have the earnest, the down payment of the Holy Spirit, because I
tell you, faith is not natural. Faith is supernatural. The Scriptures tell us that faith
is a gift of the Holy Spirit. It is a grace of God. And now
then, listen, you who have it, there is no more condemnation
for you. Is that a benefit? Yes, it is.
Yes, it is. Number two, the second benefit
is that we who believe, we who have the Spirit of God know that
the natural man cannot and will not be subject to God. We know that. Look at what Paul
says in Romans 8 verse 6. He said, For to be carnally minded
is death, but to be spiritually minded
is life and peace, because the carnal mind is enmity against
God, for it is not subject to the law of God. Listen, neither
indeed can be. The carnal mind is at war with
God. The natural mind is at war with
God. It's the Spirit of God who causes
us to see that we by nature are only carnally minded. The Spirit
of God reveals to us that our carnal mind, our carnal nature
was born altogether in sin. A little baby that was here Sunday,
precious little baby, we look at it and all cute. But truly,
that baby was born a sinner. He wasn't born holy and then
did sin. He was born a sinner. That's
what the Spirit of God teaches us, is that man by nature is
born a sinner. The Scripture tells us that in
Adam all died. It says, Wherefore by one man
sin entered into the world, and death by sin, so death passed
upon all men. For that all have sinned in Adam. We were made sinners by the sin
of Adam. And therefore we were not able
or willing to please God. Jesus said, No man can come unto
Me, except the Father which hath sent me, draw him." Have you
seen who you really are? Have you seen the depravity of
your own nature? Men who despise the sovereign
election of God, they always try to build up a false argument
saying, well, suppose somebody wants to be saved, and they're
not one of the elect. We know this is a foolish supposition. That supposition is a great leap
from the Word of God. And it's made only by men who
are ignorant of God's Word and their own depravity. God says
there's none righteous, there's none that understandeth, and
listen, there is none that seeketh after God. You and I were not
seeking after God when He came to us. We were not looking for
God. when He found us. Man cannot please God by his
works, by his religious devotion, or even his sincerity, because
all his deeds are evil continually. If man says he serves God by
nature, he's not serving the God, he's serving a God. A God
of his own making. Man cannot know God, and only
the Spirit of God can reveal this. And we that know, we that have
the Holy Spirit, we know this, that the Spirit of God must quicken
dead sinners. He must give life. In Romans
8 and verse 9, it says, But ye are not of the flesh, but in
the Spirit. If so be that the Spirit of God
dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit
of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the
body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because
of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that
raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised
up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies
by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. The Spirit of God alone
can give life. You see, this same Holy Spirit
that is poured out on Pentecost is the same Holy Spirit that
gave us a new nature. We, by nature, only had one,
a sinful, depraved nature. But now, by the Spirit of God,
we have been given a new nature, a new heart, a new life. And He has set up the throne
of Christ in our hearts. Behold, this is the work of God. We were hiding from God. We were
not seeking God. We were trying to cover our sins
by the leaves of our religion and works. And I tell you this,
we would have been content to die in our sins. We would have been content had
the Spirit of God not come to us. Had the Spirit of God not
come in power to give us life. He gave us light. so that we
could understand the gospel. You understand the gospel of
Jesus Christ? That is a gift of the Holy Spirit. We understand God's holiness,
His glory, His majesty, and we've been stripped. We've been stripped. We've been exposed, like that
woman caught in a very act of adultery. over in Hosea Hosea chapter 2 I'll read it for you this is
the experience and tell me if this is not so with you you who
believe on Christ is this not your experience I know this experience
of everyone saved by the Holy Spirit everyone's given life
in Hosea chapter 2 In verse 6, it says, Therefore,
behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall,
and she shall not find her paths. She shall follow after her lovers,
but she shall not overtake them. She shall seek them, but shall
not find them. Then shall she say, I will go
and return to my first husband, for then it was better with me
than now. For she did not know that I gave
her the corn, and the wine, and the oil, and multiplied her silver
and gold, which they prepared for Baal. Therefore I will return
and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in
the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given
to cover her nakedness. And now I will discover her lewdness
in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of
mine hand. I will also cause her mirth to
cease, her feast days, and new moons, and her sabbaths, and
all her solemn feasts. And I will destroy her vines
and her figs, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that
my lovers have given me. And I will make them a forest,
and the beast of the field shall eat them. And I will visit upon
her the days of Balaam. wherein she burned incense to
them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels,
and she went after her lovers and forgot me, saith the Lord.
Therefore, behold, I will allure her and bring her into the wilderness
and speak comfortably unto her." Do you see what he's done? He's
made this whorish woman that left her husband You see, her
husband kept bringing her all of these good things, her oil,
her wine and stuff. But this is a picture of what
God has done for us. God gave us our life, our breath.
He gave us all the joys we had. And what do we do? We use them
for our own lusts. We use them for our own self-worship. And what does God do before He
allures us and calls us to Christ? First, He hedges us up. All of
those things that He gave us begins to take away. The pleasures
of sin are no longer pleasurable. He begins to strip us of all
the joy that we once loved our sin. Now then, it's causing us
such grief and pain and sorrow. He exposes us. He says, your lovers didn't give
you all that. I gave you that. And He allures
us into a wilderness by ourselves. Have you ever been allured into
the wilderness? Exposed? And what does God do? He speaks
comfortably to us. What does He say? Behold My Son. Behold My Son who died for you. Isn't that comfortable? Isn't
that the comforting words that God comes to us? Yes. These are
the words of the Spirit. The Spirit of God points us to
Christ. Believer, when we preach, when
we witness of Christ, let us not be discouraged when men will
not hear it. Why? Salvation's of the Lord. It's not of us. It's not of us. You see, He will strip men and
expose them and then He will draw them. You and I, I know
we've often tried to strip men and been unsuccessful. Isn't
that right? You made people feel guilty. I've done it, I don't
know how many times, and I still haven't learned it's foolishness.
All I need to do is declare the Gospel and leave it alone. Declare
the Gospel and leave it alone. You see, God alone saves sinners. Let us therefore be faithful
to declare the gospel boldly, without compromise, just as Peter
did. What did he say? You crucified
the Lord of glory. Repent and believe. Repent and
be baptized, every one of you, in the name by the authority
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. and receive the Holy Spirit.
Receive the Holy Ghost. This is our message always. Turn
from your sins. Believe on Jesus Christ alone. And I tell you, everyone that
believes receives the Holy Spirit. You can't have one without the
other. You can't have faith without the Spirit. You can't have the
Spirit without faith. Both come together. Both come together. And fourthly, this benefit, we
who have received the Spirit of God will walk in the Spirit
of God. Everyone who truly has received
the Spirit of God will walk in the Spirit of God. Back in Acts chapter 2, after
the Apostle finished, it says, He says, For the promise is unto
you and unto your children, verse 39, and to all that are far off,
even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many
other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves
from this untoward generation. Notice what they did. Then they
that gladly received his word were baptized. And the same day
were added unto them about three thousand souls, and they continued
steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship and breaking
of bread and prayers. Do you see that? You see, everyone,
as many as the Lord our God shall call, they'll all continue in
fellowship, in the doctrine of the apostles, breaking of bread. I tell you, when people in our
day say that the local church doesn't have any importance,
they've not read the scripture. And I have doubts about them
at all. If they don't have, if they're
not drawn to fellowship together. You know something about a sheep?
If he's by himself, he's either lost or he's sick. Sheep flock
together. I tell you what, I need you.
I need you. I can't live without you. And I know this about you. You
can't live without me. We need each other. Those who have the Spirit of
God, we all desire to be of one mind and one heart and have fellowship
one with another. Around what? Around this. Around the Gospel. We continue
in the doctrine. and in the fellowship, and in
the breaking of bread. Everyone who has the Spirit of
God will walk in the Spirit of God. Does this mean we'll be
free from trouble? No. Matter of fact, it guarantees
the opposite. If you have the Spirit of God,
you will also have trouble. If we are partakers, of the divine
nature of Christ, then we shall also be partakers of the sufferings
of Christ. You don't get one without the
other. And so, believer in Christ, because
we are called to suffering, it is not only given unto you on
behalf of Christ to believe on His name, but also to suffer
for His name's sake. We who are partakers of the divine
nature Desire to be holy. Is that not right? Do you desire
to be holy? What causes you the most grief?
Because you can't. Doesn't that cause you to groan
within yourself? The apostle says we groan within
ourselves. But know this, believer, that
the Holy Spirit was given to help you in your troubles. You know that? The Spirit of
God dwells in you to help you. He helpeth our infirmities. Alright, who has the infirmity
of falling asleep in prayer? Who has that? Am I the only one
who has that infirmity? What about reading the Scriptures?
Do you not have the infirmity that, oh man, this is just so,
oh, the burden of it all to read. The Holy Spirit help you. How does He help you? If you're not reading this to
see Christ, you're reading for the wrong reason. The Holy Spirit
is here to point us to Christ. Not Himself. And the Holy Spirit
is not here to point to you either. Do you get that? He's not here
to point to your faith, or your hope, or your love, or your this,
or your... Point to Christ. If you look
to yourself, I'll tell you, you have great cause to be discouraged. The Holy Spirit's not pointing
you to you. He's pointing you to Christ.
And in that, He helps us in our study, in our prayers. Because
we don't even know what to pray for, as we ought to know. But
He helpeth us. And I tell you, in Christ, We
should know this, that all things work together for our good. If you have the Spirit of God,
you should know that and keep that close. All things are for
your good. All things. What's the significance of Pentecost?
Christ has shed His blood, waved it before God, It's accepted. And you know what? You are too.
If you are in Christ, you are accepted in Him. And He has now
poured out His Spirit and given you the benefits of no condemnation. He's given you the benefits of
boldness, of life in Christ Jesus. He's given you benefits of power
and of grace. Believer, you don't belong to
you. You belong to Him. Now then, go and serve Him, not
just with your spirit, but with your body. I know everybody likes
to serve with their spirit, don't they? Or rather, I was with you
in spirit. I can't preach to a spirit. Serve Him with your spirit and
your body, which belong to Him. Praise God for His Holy Spirit.
May God bless you. A stand will be dismissed in
prayer.
