The story of the Lord casting out a 'Legion' of devils from a man. The story of salvation.

Here I raise my heaven-pleaser,
hither by thy help I'm come. Oh, by thy good pleasure I'm
at home. Jesus loved me when a stranger, He to rescue me from danger. Precious blood owed to grace. Daily I'm constrained to be Like a feather bind my wandering
heart to Thee. Lord, I feel it. Heart, O take and seal it,
seal it for Thy courts above. Thank you, Ron and Sherry. Thank you. Go back with me now
to Mark chapter 5. Mark chapter 5. This is a true story. A true
story. This is no parable. This is a
true story. A story of one man's salvation. How the Lord Jesus Christ came. and saved this man from being
possessed by many devils, sat him down at his feet to hear
his voice, and clothed him physically, spiritually, in his right mind,
and made him a follower and a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now
this is what the Lord does for every single person that he saves. The fact of the matter is, we're
either possessed by the Holy Spirit of God or another
spirit. And I know people think, well,
if you're possessed by a devil, you act like, you know, a raving
lunatic or a madman or, you know, like you see these people in
movies and all, possessed by devils. No. There were some Pharisees our
Lord was talking to, they were the most moral, upright, they
were religious people, and He said, you're of your father the
devil. You can be possessed by a devil sitting in a church pew.
In fact, there are probably just as many, if not more, sitting
on a church pew than on a bar stool. That's a fact. Acts 26, let me read this to
you because, I mean, what I just said is what Scripture said. We're either possessed by Christ
as spirit or we're not. Acts 26, 18 says, the Lord sent
these preachers of the gospel to open eyes, turn from darkness
to light, and from the power of Satan unto God. What does it say? And Paul wrote
to young Timothy, it says, Oh, that they may recover themselves
out of the snare of the devil, that are taken captive by him
at his will. And there's only one that can
do that. Jesus Christ. This is the story of the Lord
Jesus Christ who came into this world to save His people from
their sins, to save them from Satan, to save them from this
world, to save us from ourselves. Salvation is of the Lord. It belongeth to Him. He saves
whom He will. And He saves those that ask Him. This story really begins
in chapter 4, verses 35 and 6. It says in chapter
4, the same day when an evening was come, He said unto His disciples,
Let us pass over unto the other side. And they sent away the
multitude. And they took him, even as it
was in the ship, they put him in a ship. The Lord actually
gave the command. He often did this about a ship. He was around the Sea of Galilee,
Tiberias often. They traveled back and forth
all around that sea by ship, and he always would give a command,
get in the ship, get in the boat, we're going over to the other
side. And this is one of those times. And everything the Lord
said and did was predetermined and preordained before the world
began. This is not just a man, this
is God manifesting in flesh. Everything He said, everything
He did was ordered before the world began. And every step He
took, every word He spoke, Every command he gave was for the purpose
of finding his lost sheep and saving them, his people. He said,
I have come to seek and to save the lost. I am coming to this
world that they might have life. They're dead. They're in the
tombs. They're lost sheep. I've come to find them. I'm going
to pick them up and take them all the way home. I'm going to
find every one of them. And he did. They were exactly where
he put them. Known unto God are all his works
from the beginning of the world. This is God. Stay with me, please. This is a blessing. But he told
his disciples often, he tells them here, to get in a ship.
He orders this ship. You see, this was the Lord's
ship. The earth is the Lord's and the
fullness thereof. The world and they that dwell
therein. He owns it all. This was his ship. This was his
sea. These were his men. He said,
get in the ship. Like those fish, get in the net.
This is the Lord of glory. Somebody, anybody. This is the
Lord of glory. He tells these sailors. I like to read the old sailing
stories and all that. And back years ago, back in the
16th, 17th century and earlier, The Queen's Navy would do this. They would press men into service. In other words, they would go
out and apprehend people. They'd go into the towns and
cities, and workers and laborers and people, they needed men on
this ship, and they'd go in and grab hold of them and say, you're
coming. No, no, no, no. Yes, you are.
And they'd put them in this ship and say, no, you're going to
serve the Queen. From here on out, you're pressed into service. Are you with me? This is exactly
what the Lord does in salvation. Salvation is like a ship. It's
the fellowship. It's like that ark. Noah and
his family were in that ark. Why? Because they found grace
in the eyes of the Lord. They were pressed into it. They were chosen. All of these
disciples, the Lord said, get the ship. And they did. They did. They
said, now we're going to the other side. They didn't have
a clue what he was doing. They didn't know where he was
going or why. But he did. He did. And it's not ours to
know. It's ours to follow. Trust him. Trust him. He put them in the
ship. And on the way over, you know the story? He raised a stormy wind. They
don't yet really know Him fully, who He is. So He raised this
stormy wind. And it says that wind was, verse
38, verse 37, "...there arose a great storm of wind, and waves
beat the ship, and the ship was full of water, and he was sleeping."
Sleeping! And they think their life's over. No, no, you're in the ship. Remember the story of Paul and
all of them in the ship? He said, there'll be no loss
of life in the ship. Why? Because of the One who's
in it with you and the One who put you in there. And He that keepeth this shall
never sleep or slumber. That's the mystery. Here He was.
Well, they woke him up, don't you care? That's us, isn't it? Don't you care? Oh, what ignorant, ignorant, faithless
people we are. He sent this because He cared.
He came because He cared. He came all the way from over
yonder to the other side because He cares. He put you in Christ
because He cares. So cast all your care on Him. He cares for you. Well, He got
up, went to the bow of that ship, look at verse 38, He arose, rebuked
the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be
still." Maybe he said it with a still, small voice. Be still. And that sea laid down at his
feet like a dog at his master's feet,
like a farm pond. And they all, every man in the
ship, This is not just a man. That's what your mother saw,
Helen. This is not just a man. He's the master of the sea, billows
His will obey. If He, your Savior, wills to
be, you will be saved today. What manner of man is this? What
did more people saw? He told them to cross over. He
told them to get in the ship, and they were going to cross
over, and they crossed all the way over, went through a raging
storm. It took a long time to get through
this, okay? And they crossed all the way
over to the other side of the sea. What for? Why did they go
over there? Because as soon as he's done
his work over there, he said, get back in the ship. We're going
back where we came from. Why? One man. And he's full of a devil. Some of you are entering into
this. One man who's full of a devil. Did the Lord need this man? No. What's he need with a devil?
And why would he go to such lengths to save a fellow like this? Because he's God. That's why.
through the praise of the glory of His saving, electing, choosing,
restraining, devil-casting out grace. This is my story. Chapter 5. So they came over. You see, it began with an and.
And they came over. Oh my, he came to the other side
of the sea in the country of the Gadarenes. In verse 2, we
came out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tomb,
a man with an unclean spirit. Now this is me. This is you. This is every single man, woman,
boy or girl in this room right now, whether you know it or not.
that every one of us by nature have an unclean spirit. Now listen
to me. This is the Word of God. Job
4 says, man that is born of woman is a few days and full of trouble.
Man that comes out of woman, he says, who can bring a clean
thing out of an unclean thing? We're all as an unclean thing. We're born. David said, in sin
did my mother conceive me. My parents were sinners. I'm
born a sinner. I'm born dead and trespassing
in sin. I'm born captive to the God of
this world. My only hope is if this man, the Lord Jesus Christ,
one day comes to me and speaks the Word and removes me from
His captivity. That's my only hope. That's your
only hope. That's our children's only hope. Unclean. Dwelling among the tombs. Do you see that? He's dwelling
among the tombs. Living among the dead. Dead while he yet liveth in.
And doesn't the Scripture say, and you hath he quickened who
were dead in trespassing sin? You know, when you're dead, you
don't know it. You don't know it until you're alive. Right? You don't know it until
you're made alive. People say, I'm not dead. I'm
not dead. Well, that proves you are. Lazarus wouldn't argue about
being dead. I was dead. Now I'm alive. Dwelled among the tombs. You
know, this is why salvation is of the Lord, people. This is
why it must be of the Lord, because we're dead. Children are dead. Our family is dead. Our friends,
everybody everywhere is dead in trespasses and sin. There's
only one hope. That they'll hear from the mouth
of Jesus Christ this same thing you're hearing right now. And this man met Him. It says
this man came running and met the Lord Jesus Christ. And every
human being is going to meet Jesus Christ. Do you understand
me? That's what the Scripture said.
Every single human being is going to stand before this man, Jesus
Christ, someday. Everyone's going to meet him. Our Lord said, just every knee
is going to bow, and every tongue is going to confess that I'm
Lord. It's not some fable. It's not
some wild preacher just hollering, you know. Prepare to meet thy
God. This is Bible. This is Christ.
Everybody's going to meet Him. Salvation is to meet Him now. Salvation is for Him to come
to you now. Salvation is for Him to confront
you now. Salvation is for Him to speak
to you now. Because everybody's going to
stand before Him someday. They'll stand before Him. And He said,
many will say unto me, Lord, Lord, this and that and the other.
And He said, I never knew you. This is serious. Maybe the effectual fervent preaching
of a man availeth much, huh? Today is a day of salvation. Life or death, it really is. Verse 3 and 4 says, this man
was dwelling among the tombs, and nobody could tame him. Not
with chains. They put chains around him, fetters,
and tried to bind him. Neither could any man tame him. No man could do anything for
him. And they tried everything. And people, no man, can save himself and no man can
save another. And no chains of religion, no
bondage of religion, no fetters or chains, no morality, no turning
over a new leaf, no quitting this, quitting that. You can
quit this, but something else will come up. Like the woman with the issue,
I mentioned her, she went to many physicians and tried them
and she wasn't better, she was worse. And religion won't save
anybody. You can go to here and you can
go there. You can try this, you can try
that. There's only one name under heaven
given among men whereby we must be saved. Only one way, Jesus Christ, and
for Him to speak to us. It says that this man wore no
clothes. Well, Luke's Gospel does, and
here it says he was finally clothed. He wore no clothes. That's significant. That's important. He had no covering. He was naked. And, you know, every one of us
in here are wearing clothes, aren't we? Where did clothes
come from? Sin. We wouldn't need clothes if we
weren't sinners. Begin to expose flesh and it
just brings out the wickedness in us. Man was without sin in the garden.
He was naked. There was no shame. Didn't need
clothes. And people are proud of their
clothes. We wouldn't need them if we weren't
sinners. Scripture says, cover up. But no clothes can cover
you. It can't cover you before the
eye of God. It says all things are naked and open before the
eyes of Him with whom we have to do. Morality won't cover you. The Lord said of some Pharisees,
they're whited sepulchers. They appear righteous before
me, but He says, I see right through them. They're full of
extortion and excess. You know, there's only one thing
that will cover a naked soul, a sinful soul. Some of you have
heard this so much. You know, some people don't have
a clue. Because the Lord hadn't covered them. There's only one thing that will
cover a sinner, and that's the blood of Jesus Christ. Only one
thing will cover a sinner. It's His robe of righteousness.
If we stand before God some day, the only way He's going to let
us into His holy heaven is if His righteousness was imputed
to us, charged to us. Not our goodness, His. It covers. It's the robe of the saints.
It's the righteousness of saints. Oh, how I'd like to dwell on
that a long time. But I can't. It must go on. This
man was naked. Nobody could tame him. No man
could tame him. Verse 5 and 6 and 7, he was always
in the night and day in the mountains in the tomb crying, cutting himself
with stones. You know, this sounds like, what
this man was doing, sounds like a modern Pentecostal religious
meeting. This man was jumping and shouting
up and down, crying out and hollering and cutting himself like Elijah
on the Mount Carmel. Remember that? All those false
prophets and the people were just carrying on something awful,
a bunch of religious frenzy like goes on in Pentecostal religion
today. That's what this sounds like.
This man wasn't possessed by the Spirit of God, he's possessed
with the devil. He has another spirit. When the Spirit of God
comes in, it all changes. He's not hollering and jumping
up and down and cutting himself and crying out anymore. He's
got his mouth shut. He's sitting at the feet of Christ.
He's listening to Christ's words. Are you hearing me now? This
is when the Spirit of God works. This is where the Spirit of God
is. This is how the Spirit of God works, takes the Word of
Christ, the things of Christ, and shows them to His people,
and He takes the devil out of them. The doctrines of devils. And all this wild carrying on
and all that makes Him close them in His righteousness, gives
them their right mind, the mind of Christ, to understand something
of truth, understand something of salvation, understand something
of who God is and what we are, Shuts us up, shuts our mouth.
Causes us to listen to him. It's exactly the opposite of
what religion says. It's exactly the opposite. That's all a show. All that carrying
on is a show. It's phony. It's fake. It's false. It's demonic. Now look at verse It's in 6 and
7, he saw Jesus afar off and ran and worshiped Him, cried
with a loud voice, "'What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou
Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, that thou
torment me not.' For the Lord had said unto him, Come out of
the man, thou unclean spirit.'" See, this demon, these devils,
this man came and worshipped him, it says, worshipped him,
fell down before him. Scripture says, every knee will
bow, every tongue confess. Demons, devils, men, angels must
and shall bow to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is Lord over all.
He's head of all principalities and powers. Satan is his devil. He cannot do anything. But what
Jesus Christ allows him to do according to his purpose. Now
this is the God of the Bible. This is the Christ of Scripture.
This other Jesus, things happen and he didn't want that to happen,
that's a false Jesus. Why trust him? Why do you need
him? If he's a bystander standing over it on the side and evil
things are happening, Satan's having his way and he didn't
want it to happen, who needs that Jesus? But now this is the
Lord Jesus Christ whom devils take orders from. This is the
Christ I need. This is the Christ that saved
this sinner, this wild man. This is the one who came to me,
chose me, and taught me, and bought me, and brought me, and
put me in the ship, and told me, this is what you're going
to do. I said, yes, sir. Right? How about you? Every knee shall bow, and oh,
it's salvation to bow now and worship Him." And this man is
every single religious person. He came and worshiped Jesus.
He's a madman. He's a demon, but he's worshiping
Jesus. This tent over here on 220, where
all this goes on, they've invited this… I hate to say his name,
but I'm not going to. It's a false prophet. He's on
TV. If you watch him, you'll think he has a devil. He's coming
over there, and they'll fill that place up. They'll fill that
place up with that fella. And they'll go away talking about
what a great fella that fella is, and what power we can have. And not Jesus Christ and Him
crucified. Oh, how blessed we are. But people
worship Jesus everywhere, and they don't know the Lord Jesus
Christ. You know, you see these concerts. You know, Scripture says, avoid
every appearance of evil. Have you ever seen one of these
so-called Christian rock concerts? Have you ever seen one of these?
Now, I get so much literature in the mail from all this stuff,
religion, advertising, you know, Liberty University sends out
all this stuff, haunted houses, Christian haunted houses, acquire
the fire. All through the Old Testament
it talks about false prophets and kings having their children
pass through the fire. That's exactly what that's talking
about. Acquire the fire? If you see these things, and
you watch them, sometimes just turn the sound off. You know,
their words are Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, and that God and
Jesus and that, this and that and the other, maybe even blood
and all that. Just turn the sound off and watch it. It's a wild
frenzy. You can't tell the difference
between that concert and the Guns and Roses. You can't tell
one difference. You can't tell one difference.
Why? Because there is no difference. If it looks like a rock concert,
that's exactly what it is. Now if it's people sitting, quiet,
fear the Lord, singing praises, praying unto God, not all this
crap, talking about Jesus Christ and Him crucified, a man standing
up with a Bible, that's all he's doing. That's all He's doing,
is teaching from God's Word. This is what Christ did. This
is what Christ said. This is how Christ said. This
is who God is. This is what we are. This is
our hope. This is our pea. This is our righteousness. This
is our salvation. God's in that. That's where the
Lord is. He's not in this stuff. And this man came running to
Him and said, what have I to do with thee? Everybody does. I started to quote that, that
all things are naked and open before the eyes with whom we
have to do. Paul stood up and preached one
day, he said, God hath ordained a day in which he will judge
all men in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained, by
Jesus Christ. Everybody's going to stand before
God either in Christ, Did you hear that? Rebecca, did
you hear that? Either in Christ... Laura, did you hear that? Either
in Christ, clothed, covered by Him, His righteousness, or trying
to stand beside Him saying, I'm a pretty good person, accept
me. He'll cast you out, but not if
you're in Christ. Say, I don't understand, preacher.
Well, go learn what it means. What have I to do?" This man,
this devil said, torment me not, don't torment me. You know, I
remember a time when sitting here, sitting not here, but where
I grew up to hear a man just like me preaching, and it was
torment. Little James, bless his heart,
this morning he had to sit through the Bible study. Now he has to
sit through this, and I feel sorry for him. It's bittersweet,
really. I feel sorry for him, but I'm
so glad for him. Because this is able to make
wise unto salvation. Jennifer, you sat here. And if
there's a while, it was. It was torment to you. Be honest.
It was torment. Do I have to sit through another
one of these? Do I have to hear this again? Oh, I pray that you
will. This is what we pray for, hope
and pray for. Finally, He'll give us ears to
hear. Finally, the Lord will give the Word. Finally! Finally! It won't be torment! It won't
be torment! It'll be a choice! It'll be something, I've got
to do this, like this man when it's all over. It wasn't torment.
He said, don't leave! Torment. You say, what's your
name? Our Lord says, what's your name?
That's what He said to Jacob, what? Legion, or many. I've got to hurry. This man and
people, there are many kinds of devils. I was going to turn
to Romans 1 and just list Romans 3, 2 Timothy 3, and it talks
about this world and everything in it. It's just legions of sin and evil. And you know, in every one of
them, the seed of those, we're all capable of any of those things.
There's only one hope for us. It's if Jesus Christ takes possession
of us. And a man said, we're legion,
we're many. And he besought Him, verse 10 and 11, he besought
Him that He would not send them away out of the country. This
is a mystery here, what's going on. But the devil and demons,
and there was nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
And the Lord did this on purpose. This is to teach us something. Swine. But there was a great
herd of swine feeding, and all the devils besought Him, saying,
Send us into the swine, that we may enter them. They may enter
them. Now people, what this is, what
this is a picture of, clearly, is false religion. Our Lord warned
about casting pearls before what? Swine. And most people are in
false religion. There were 12 disciples here
right now and there were 2,000 swine and 12,000 demons. And the Lord gave them leave,
in verse 13, gave them leave or permission to enter these
swine. And they all ran down, it says
in verse 13, the unclean spirits went out and entered into the
swine, and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea,
about 2,000. They were choked in the sea.
They were destroyed. I do want you to turn to Revelation
18, okay? Revelation 18. Now this is clearly,
clearly shown throughout the Revelation. And throughout, when
our Lord walked this earth, Many, many, many, many, many, many
believed on Him, but they weren't believers. Many, many, many,
many followed Him. When it was all over, when He
left this earth, there were 120. 120. Revelation 18, look at verse
1. These things, I saw another angel
come down from heaven having a great power. This is Christ. This is Christ. The earth was
lightened with His glory. This is Christ. And He cried
mightily with a strong voice saying, Babylon the great is
fallen, is fallen. Become the habitation of devils. This is talking about false religion.
A habitation and hold of every foul spirit, a cage of every
unclean and hateful bird, and all the nations have drunk of
the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Kings of the earth,
politicians, everybody's in bed with her. Merchants of the earth,
there's big money in it. They've waxed rich through the
abundance of her delicacy. This is false religion. A hold
of every unclean spirit. Foul spirit. Verse 4, I heard
another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partaker of her
sin. It's talking about false religion. That ye receive not
her plagues, for her sins have reached unto heaven, And God
hath remembered her iniquities, and reward her even as she rewarded
you, double unto her double according to her works, and the cup which
she hath filled to her double, how much she hath glorified herself."
Isn't that religion? Our church, our preacher, our
this, our that, and live deliciously, and so much torment and sorrow
give her. She saith in her heart, I sit
a queen. That's not just Catholicism.
That's just every modern false religion. Go back to our text. So Christ gave these demons leave
permission to enter the swine. And everything happens by permission.
And the whole world, the vast majority of people are following
the crowd And the vast majority of people
are swine. Goats, not sheep. I didn't say that. The Lord did. Many are called, few are chosen. He said, I'll separate the goats
from the sheep. And the vast majority of people
are following the blind, blind leaders of the blind, and following
feeders of swine. They're eating the husks. And
they're going to meet a violent death. They're going to meet
a violent death. Like the Egyptians, you remember?
The Egyptians went after the children of Israel. The children
of Israel crossed over on dry land. And they didn't get any mud on
their shoes. The Egyptians went after them. They hated them and
hated their God. And they all drowned. Now, twelve disciples are watching
this. Are you watching? Twelve disciples are standing
here watching all this. They're seeing this. They're seeing what the Lord,
the Lord is standing there commanding. Go. Go. Go. Go. Do this. Do that. Do that. They'd
just seen him calm the sea. They're watching this and they're
thinking, oh, oh, oh, how glad I am that He chose me and came by where I was and put
me in the ship. People all over town came out.
People all over town came out to see what had happened. Do
you see this, brethren? Do you have your eyes open? Do
you see what's going on around us? People running down a steep
hill and destroying themselves. Can you see this? And religion
and the world and everything in it. Can you see this? That
the whole world is destroying itself. Can you see this? Wow, that a few are so blessed
to be on the ship, to hear Christ's Word. Do you see this? Disciples
are watching this in amazement. Watching him give over. Oh, the
whole town comes out, John. The whole city and the county
came out to see what was happening. And they saw this man. Oh, I love this. Verse 15, he
was sitting, clothed in his right mind. This man who was once a
wild man, crazy man. You know, drunk, a rouser, whatever. Maybe he was wild in religion.
Now he's sitting at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ, quietly,
clothed, sitting, listening to Jesus Christ. That's what he's
doing. Sitting, listening to the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Teaching, just soaking up every word of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Quiet, not saying anything. He's in his right mind. He's
thinking right thoughts. He knows now who this is. He
knows what he was. He knows who did it. Christ,
and He's sitting there worshipping, now He's really worshipping the
Lord Jesus Christ. And the people came out and saw
this fellow just sitting at the feet of the Lord Jesus, just
quietly worshipping, adoring the Lord Jesus Christ only. And
they said, do away with this! Get all this out of here! We
don't want any of this! All this talk about a sovereign
Lord, a sovereign Christ, salvation of the Lord, Him directing devils. That's not our Jesus. We'll let
Him feed us. We'll let Him clothe us. We'll
let Him do miracles. Don't be talking about some sovereign
Lord that the devils can't even do anything unless He allows
it or gives them leave or gives them direction. That's not our
Jesus. And we love Jesus. Right? But not this sovereign
Lord. You know, people would rather
have you be an out-and-out drunk than a believer in the sovereign
grace of our Lord. They'd rather see you be a wild
fool in religion than to be one that's just talking about God's
sovereignty and Christ's blood and Christ's righteousness and
city. They'd rather anything than that. Anything. And they said, leave
us. But this man. Oh, this man. This man had been saved. All
those people in town were just religious. This man had been
chosen. The Lord came all the way across
the ocean to get him. This man was dead. And the Lord gave him life. This
man was in darkness even as others, but the Lord gave him light. This man was naked and the Lord
clothed him. This man was up, now hot, cold. Now he's in his right mind. And he prayed to the Lord. He's
praying now. And he prayed to the Lord. He
said, don't let me leave you. Don't leave me. Well, it was tormenting to Him
before, but now, it's life. The words of Christ are now life
to Him. And He said, please, don't leave me. Whatever you
do, don't leave me. The Lord said to His disciples,
look at verse 18, He came to the ship. He came to the ship. He told His disciples, get back
in the ship. Boys, we're leaving. They don't
want us around here. He said, we're getting the ship.
We're leaving. And folks, so are we. And the people in town said,
the sooner the better. The Lord said, I'm taking you
out of here. I'm taking you away from this
place that hates me and hates you. We're leaving here. And
this man said, I don't want to go. Don't leave me. Put me in the ship! Are you with
me? Put me in the ship! Don't leave
me behind with these God-haters." Christ said, No. You've got a
job to do. You go home. He said, This is
why I saved you. You go home and you tell everybody
who saved you. Yeah. Go home and tell your friends
how great things the Lord hath done for thee and hath had compassion
on thee." And he did. He became a missionary. He became
a preacher. And every single believer does.
Every single believer that the Lord really saves. Everyone the
Lord saves, you know what they say? You know what they tell
people? They don't say things like this. I got saved the other
day. I was in a meeting the other day and the preacher, oh, that
preacher, oh, he had such power. Oh, he's, oh, you know, he's
famous. Oh, and I just felt this feeling
run over me. And this felt so good inside. And they sang, Just As I Am,
140 times. I just felt compelled to go down
front. And I went down there, and they
were weeping and crying, and everybody was weeping and crying.
I used to be a drunk, and I used to be a whatever. And boy, it
just felt like something came over me, and I felt like a new
person. And they said I was, and the
preacher said I was, and I repeated after him. And boy, I got born
again, and I'm saved, and I'm washed in the blood, and they
say all that stuff, but there ain't a word of truth to it.
Because that person is not going away. They're not going away
talking about Him that chose me, brought me, taught me, saved
me, had mercy on me. You go home and tell them how
He had compassion on you. Go home and tell them how the
Lord had mercy on you. He should have sent you to hell
with the rest of the demons, but He didn't. He revealed Himself
to you. He spoke the Word to you. You
go home and tell Him what He hath done, and that's what He
did. Who saved you? Jesus Christ and crucified. Now that's the testimony of every
single truly saved believer. And he was possessed, he's not
possessed by the devil now. He's possessed by the Lord Jesus
Christ. And whoever the Lord Jesus Christ
possesses and owns, There he is forever. You see
that? You need to be possessed by him. Alright, Brother Ron,
if you'll come up. Number 355. 355. Now, every stormy
wind, let it blow. 355. Sherry, if you'll come. Let's sing the first and last
verses, okay? 355. Jesus.
