"That they may behold my glory."
All talk of man's free-will, man's works, man's decision, man's righteousness by the law . . . is because they have not beheld Christ's glory. All arguments against God's sovereign election and particular redemption, are not mere doctrinal differences, but are the arguments of rebels against God, stealing His glory. Everyone who has truly seen Christ's glory will see all things clearly. There will be no arguments about who does the saving, who is saved, why and how.
When someone truly beholds His glory, that person will give Him all the glory from that day forward.

Read verse 24 with me. Father, I will that they also
whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may
behold my glory which thou hast given me, for thou lovest me. before the foundation of the
world, beholding the glory of the Lord. Someone said that the greatest
sermon ever preached, and I agree, is what our Lord said to his
disciples from chapter 13 through chapter 16. And they also said the greatest
sermon ever preached was followed by the greatest prayer ever prayed. There are some great prayers
recorded in Scripture, Daniel's, Nehemiah, but none like this. This is the Lord's prayer, His
high priestly prayer. And we are allowed to hear it. We are allowed to read it as
the Lord of glory speaks to the God who is in glory. And he says much of his glory
throughout this passage. Verse 1, glorify thy son that
thy son may also glorify thee. Verse 4, I have glorified thee. on the earth. Verse 5, O Father,
glorify thou me with thine own self, with the glory I had with
thee. Verse 10, I am glorified in them. Verse 22, the glory thou gavest
me I have given them. And verse 24, that they may behold
my glory. In verse 1, our Lord lifted up
His eyes and said to the Father, The hour has come. Glorify Thy
Son. He's speaking of His crucifixion. And He said back in chapter 13
after Judas left, He said, Now, He said, Now will I be glorified. He said, Now. is the Son of Man
glorified and God is glorified in him. If God be glorified in
him, God shall also glorify him. He is talking about his greatest
glory. being crucified for sinners,
being a substitute for sinners, His greatest glory. When He was
born, God sent the angels to announce His birth, and they
said, Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, goodwill toward
men. as glorious as His birth was,
the greatest glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. And this is why
He tells us to always commemorate and think about His death, His
crucifixion. Not His birth, but His death. Because it's His greatest glory.
It is God's glory in sending His Son Sending His Son to this
evil world to die for such wicked sinners. That's God's great glory. To the praise of the glory of
His love for sinners. Unspeakable love and mercy and
grace. It is the glory of God's Son
that He would be willing to come and do it. For laying down His
life. Greater love hath no man than
this. Not lay down his life for his friends, but his enemies. This is his greatest glory. And
because he did that, Scripture says, God hath glorified him
and given him a name which is above every name. So when you
address him from now on, you call him Lord. The Lord of glory. He said, I have glorified thee.
Verse 4, I have glorified thee on the earth. We're not going
to look at every verse. We just can't. But we're trying
to consider this, beholding His glory. What is His glory? What is it to behold His glory?
Verse 4, our Lord said, I have glorified Thee on the earth.
I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do. This is His glory. This is his
glory. He said that back in John chapter
5, in the very beginning. Well, even before that, as a
12-year-old boy, he said, I must be about my father's business.
He sent me to do something. And he said, the works which
the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do. That's why I came, to do a work,
the work the Father hath given me. And this is why God hath
glorified Him. He finished the work. He finished
the work. This is why we glory in Him. This is why anyone who sees His
glory sees that He finished the work of salvation. Let me say
a few words against all those who glory in other things. Let me lay it out very clearly
and expose these things which men merely call doctrinal differences,
which are not that at all, but are stealing his glory. Men glory and boast in many things. And you can be turning to Isaiah
chapter 2. Isaiah 2. We won't turn to many
scriptures, but I do want you to turn to this one. Isaiah chapter
2, because it's so, well, fearful. Fearful. Terrible. Many rob God
of His glory and attempt to share the glory with the Lord Jesus
Christ. And God said, I will not share
my glory with another. To glory in something is to boast.
The glory in something is to brag. The glory in something
or someone is to exalt that person or whatever it may be, to honor
that person, to esteem them very highly. Wise men glory in their
supposed wisdom. All over, they do. When God said,
hath not God made fools to wisdom this world? Professing themselves
to be wise, they become fools. And the greatest evidence of
that is they say, no God. What a fool. But wise men do. They glory in their wisdom. Mighty men or powerful men and
women glory in their might. Religious people pretend to glory
in their supposed might. rich glory in their riches when
the fact of the matter is everything we have came from the Lord. How could anybody ever glory
in anything? What do we have that we have
not received? Now, if we have received it,
why would we glory as if we had not received it? It is the most
groundless thing for a human being to be proud. Pride of any
kind is vain glory, empty glory. God hates it. Six things that
the Lord hates. There are seven that are an abomination
to Him. The very first thing is a proud look. And that is
what describes human beings more than anything else. Haughty,
proud, arrogant, in your face. And our Lord said in the last
days, this will mark the very last of the last day. There will
be proud boasters. High-minded, heady, look at me,
aren't I something? And nowhere is that more clearly
seen or boasted of than in religion. Isn't God happy to have me here? All have sinned and come short
of the glory of God. Any pride is to come short of
the glory of God, to be proud. all have sinned, I'm raising
my hand because I'm guilty. Any pride ever at any time is
stealing his glory. Pride of face, pride of race,
the worst of all, pride of grace. What you know, he revealed to
you. What you do, Men and women, pride
knows no bounds. They're proud of what they do. They're proud of what they don't
do. Proud of what they have. Proud of the fact they don't
have it. We're a wicked lot. Proud. Proud. Pride is arrogance. It's so foolish. Look at Isaiah
2. There's not a more terrible passage. And our Lord said, To this man
will I look, he that is poor and contrite, and trembleth at
my word. Verse 10, Enter into the rock,
and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the
glory of his majesty. The lofty looks of man shall
be humbled. The haughtiness of men shall
be bowed down. The Lord alone shall be exalted
in that day. The day of the Lord of hosts
is upon everyone that is proud and lofty. upon everyone that
is lifted up, he shall be brought low. Verse 17, the loftiness
of man shall be bowed down. The haughtiness of men shall
be made low. The Lord alone shall be exalted
in that day. Verse 19, they shall go into
the holes of the rocks and in the caves of the earth for the
fear of the Lord. for the glory of His Majesty when He ariseth
to shake the earth. There is a verse of Scripture,
and you can go back to John 17, that I read as a young believer
and it profoundly impressed me and I never forgot. In Isaiah
23.9. It says this, the Lord of hosts
has purposed it. And whatever God purposes, He
does. He said, I purposed it. I bring
it to pass. The Lord of hosts has purposed
it to stain the pride of all glory and to bring into contempt
all the honorable of the earth. Mark it down. That which is highly
esteemed among men is an abomination to God. Why? Because we are nothing. By the grace of God, we are what
we are. By the grace of God, we know what we know. Do what
we do. Don't do it. Restraining grace of God, we
don't do what we don't do. We looked at that story of Abraham
this morning. If God doesn't restrain evil,
all hell will break loose. And He is lifting His hand. It's
obvious. But Scripture says the wrath of man shall praise Him
somehow. And the remainder of wrath he
will restrain. Thank you. Religion, and I'm going to quit
talking about this in a minute, but religion is the worst pride
of all. That which is highly esteemed
is an abomination. Religion is the worst pride of
all because it's in the name of God. But they come in their
own name. Those who have seen His glory,
it's easy for them to spot someone that has come in their name.
It's easy. Those who have heard His voice,
His glorious voice, it's easy to hear when somebody is exalting
themselves and exalting man and pointing you to man. It's easy.
Once you've seen His glory, once you've heard His voice, and men
and women and religion, glory, in their supposed free will,
and there's nothing more abominable. This is not a difference of doctrine. This is stealing His glory. They are so rebellious as to put that on
the top of their church house. Free will. That's what Satan
did, didn't he? I will. When God's Word says,
He worketh all things after the counsel of his will, doesn't
he? It is God that willeth. Not of him that runneth, but
it's God that willeth. And yet men, is this a doctrine
of difference? No, this is stealing his glory. And those who say that, it's
not merely ignorance of doctrine. They're rebels against God. They
haven't beheld his glory, and worse than that, they're robbing
him of it. That's right. Free will. Men
and women glory in their free will. They glory in their works
of righteousness. What do you think God thinks
about that? Paul said it in such terrible
terms. He said if righteousness comes
by the law, anything you do, Christ died in vain. He didn't
have to come. He shouldn't have died. That's
how serious it is. Doctrinal difference? It's robbing
Christ of His glory, Brother John. Doctrinal difference? It's just higher doctrine. It's
the only doctrine. It's the doctrine of Christ.
His righteousness. David said, I will make mention.
Here's a man after God's own heart. Here's a man who's seen
His glory. I will make mention. of thy righteousness, and thine
only." I'm not going to tell you what I've done for the Lord.
Anybody that goes around telling people what they've done for
the Lord has not seen His glory. They're robbing Him of His glory.
He said to those people that stand before Him someday in glory,
well, they said, well, we've done many wonderful works. We've
preached in Jesus' name. Cast out devil, He said, you're
workers of iniquity. God's people, when He tells them
of their work, well done thou good and faithful servant. When
I was naked you clothed me, when I was hungry you fed me, when
I was in jail you visited me. To a man, they all say, when? I don't ever remember that. Not
by works of righteousness which we have done. Those who have
seen His glory, dare not glory in anything. But Jesus Christ, that's what it is. Doctrine. They shall all be taught of God,
all right. Oh, my. They'll see His glory. That salvation is of the Lord.
Of the Lord. That's His glory. He said, I
finished the work. that you've given me to do. I've
glorified it. I've finished the work. Believing
particular redemption, is that a mere point of doctrine? That Christ came down here as
the great high priest of His people with the names of His
people on His palms, like the old high priest on his breastplate
and on his shoulders, all of that is symbolic of the sovereign
particular election of a people in Christ before the foundation
of the world that God gave them to Christ, and He came to this
world to save those people. Not try to save, not put the
down payment on, not to make an offer to them if they're left,
but to save them. This is His glory. And He said,
I've come to do this work. And he said here, Father, glorify
me. I've preached it. I've done it. Did he do it or
did he not? This is his glory. And those
who see his glory, behold his glory. The glory in that. Look at it. Verse 22. He says, The glory
which thou gavest me, I've given them. I've shown them what? Not that we're glorious. Not
that great feeling. Oh, I have just such a good feeling.
Feelings come. Feelings go. They're deceiving.
Religious people deceive the world over. Good music makes
them glory. You know, a good play will make
them glory. And good feelings, pizza might
give you a different feeling. God's people glory when they
seek Christ. That's what they glory. That's
who they glory in. If you glory in anything, if you need anything
other than Christ in Him crucified, you haven't seen His glory. If you can glory in a man, if
you can glory in a religious gathering, or this and that and
the other, whatever it may be, whatever it is that gives you
feelings of glory, if it's not in the person and work of Jesus
Christ, You haven't seen His glory. Because all those things are
nothing, nothing, nothing. I have glorified them. You see,
salvation is of the Lord. It's the work of the Lord God
the Father who purposed it, the architect of salvation, God the
Son who purchased it, who redeemed His people, who paid the price,
who brought in a righteousness, an everlasting righteousness
for his people, who worked out the law for them, their covenant
head, and God the Holy Spirit who is sent to regenerate every
one of those, every single one whom God elected and gave to
Christ to come down and die for the Holy Spirit through the preaching
of the gospel. That's how they hear His voice,
but it's His voice nonetheless. And they hear His voice and they
believe. Their hearts are broken. Repentance
is the gift of God. Their hearts are broken. A new
heart has been given them, a heart of faith, a heart of love to
cry, a heart to believe, trust Him, to renounce themselves,
a heart to hate themselves and love Christ, hate sin and love
holiness. And God puts in them a loathing
of themselves, an absolute repudiation and renouncing of themselves
and everything that they are, everything they've ever done,
everything they've ever believed, everything they've ever felt,
everything, every work they've done, everything, all their religious
past is done, Paul said, when they see the glory of, the work
of, the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. When you behold His glory, there
is no glory anywhere else. When our Lord took Peter and
James and John, and what a picture that is of election. He chooses
who He will to behold His glory. And He took Peter and James and
John up on that mountain to peel back that robe of flesh Everyone
thought he was a man. They said, you're just a man.
Well, he took Peter and James and John, his elect, that he
loved before the foundation of the world. They're going to know
him. They're going to see his glory. The Father is going to
reveal the Son to them. The Son is going to reveal the
Father to them. And he took them up on that mountain and unveiled
himself before them. What did they see? They couldn't
look upon him. He dwells in light which no man
could approach unto. Our gods are consuming fire. Jesus, Jesus, the Lord Jesus. And they saw him as he is. You know the story. It says they
beheld his glory. And after that, Peter, bless
his heart, He's like us. He's flesh. He felt so good.
He saw Moses. And who wouldn't get excited
if they saw Moses? He saw Elijah. And who wouldn't get excited
if they saw Elijah? Huh? Oh, he said, let's build three
tabernacles. One for Moses, one for Elijah,
one for you. And God, God spoke out loud and said, This is My beloved
Son. You hear Him. You don't exalt
any man. You don't exalt Moses. You exalt
Jesus Christ. You don't exalt Elijah. And for
that matter, you don't exalt the Law. You don't exalt the
Prophet. Because to Him give all the Prophets witness. He
is spoken of by the Law and by the Prophet. Moses wrote of Me.
Abraham rejoiced to see my death. And then it says that Moses and
Elijah, listen to this, you know what they talked about? God sent
Moses and Elijah to do this earth to talk with, to speak with,
and I imagine, I'm pretty sure they were doing, they were listening.
But you know what they spoke of? Christ said, I have finished
the work he gave me. Moses, the Lord, Elijah, the
prophets, to him give all witness to Christ. It says they speak
of the death that he should accomplish. Not try to do. When our Lord
said there in John 17, he said, Thou hast given him power, all
power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as
many as Thou hast given him. It does not read that he should
offer eternal life to as many as will accept it. That is blasphemy. Anybody that says that has not
seen His glory. Salvation belongs to the Lord,
and He giveth it to whomsoever He will. That's when Moses said,
Lord, show me Your glory. What did God say in Exodus 33? I will be merciful to whom I
will be merciful. I will be gracious, thank God,
to whom I will be gracious. So then, it is not of him that
willeth, or of him that doth. Doctrinal difference? They're
stealing his glory. Stealing his glory. This is his glory. That who he
came to save, he saved him. That's his glory. David was the
great shepherd. Why? He never lost a sheep. Never lost a sheep. Saul was
a sorry shepherd, wasn't he, fella? He couldn't even keep
his asses. I believe God wrote that on purpose.
David, who represents the son of David, kept all his sheep. Our Lord said, Those thou hast
given me, I have kept. None of them is lost to the glory
of His power. It is His glory. His glory. Our Lord Jesus Christ came to
this earth to save His people from their
sin. His people, mind you. He came to keep the law for them. They couldn't keep it. They can't
keep it now. He could, and He did, and He
does. For someone to even think that
they do the law He's robbing him of his glory. Paul said that, didn't he? Now,
I know they're ignorant, but they're like me. They're proud
Pharisees. Our Lord Jesus Christ came down
here to do that, to keep the law, to establish a righteousness,
to bring in an everlasting righteousness. The second Adam from above. The
sin bearer. Oh, my. He came to establish
a righteousness, bring in an everlasting righteousness to
cover them. It's not only the best robe,
it's the only robe. It's the wedding garment. No one gets
in Dory without it. Doctrinal difference? This is
what Jesus Christ came to do. And if anybody adds to it, puts
a little patchwork of their works on what Christ did, you're rending
that garment. And God is angry. It's not mere
ignorance. This is robbing Him of His glory.
Do you understand? I know you do. You've seen His
glory. And you did it. You know why I see you nodding
your head, those of you who are in religion? You know why you
know this is so? Because you did that, didn't
you? That's what you did. You were self-conscious like
that. You thought that you were blameless. You thought, well,
when you saw His glory, Now you think, I can't do anything
but sin. And all my hope really is, this
is not a doctrinal statement, this is with the heart. Man believeth
unto righteousness. What? That the Lord is my righteousness. Anybody that believes anything
else? Hadn't seen His glory. Hadn't seen His glory. Christ
came to bear their sins in His body on a tree. Oh, my. The law says, Cursed is everyone
that hangeth on a tree. Christ was made a curse for us,
crucified as a sin-bearer, atonement. God laid on Him the iniquity
of us all, all of His people that is. And He made atonement. And God said, when I see the
blood, I will pass over there. The blood of the Lamb of which
all the Scripture speaks of, the blood of the Lamb, rivers
of blood, rivers and rivers of blood throughout the Old Testament
speak of that one sacrifice that would put away sin forever, the
Lord Jesus Christ. And John said it. John the forerunner
said, Here he is, the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin
of the world. Everybody in the world? No, Christ is not even
praying for them. But a people out of every tribe,
kindred, nation, and tongue in the world. Huh? Not just Jews,
but a people out of every tribe, kindred, nation, and tongue that
the world may know him, that the world may believe. Well,
Christ came and He laid down His life, He shed His blood.
God said, when I see the blood, here's what God said, I will
pass over you. Not when you see it, when He
sees it. And people all over today in
religion, and this is not a mere doctrinal difference or error
in doctrine, that they make Christ's sacrifice an offer to man, which
is abominable. Christ offered Himself to God.
To God! Oh, through Pilate, and he said,
what will you do with Jesus? Yeah, here's what they did, and
here's what we did. We all did reject Him. But God accepted
Him. God accepted the sacrifice on
our behalf. He was offered up to God. And
they say this all over, offer them Jesus. God's offer still
stands. It never was an offer. It was
a particular work, a particular design, a covenant God made with
His Son before the world began about a covenant people whom
Christ came to save. And He did that. And to believe
anything else is to rob Him of His glory. God's wisdom, God's
power, Christ's blood is to rob Him of His glory. And if you
ever see that, you will see His glory. And you can't believe
anything else. If you really see His glory,
you can't believe anything but, if I'm saved, it's because of
Jesus Christ. Not me keeping myself, not me
not doing this, not doing that, it's because He didn't do this,
He didn't do that, and He did do this, and He did do that,
and He kept me by the power, He kept me, and He is the power
of God. Anyone who adds to, takes away
anything from the completed work of the Lord Jesus Christ has
not seen His glory, but rather steals His glory. And I might add, anybody who
has ever seen His glory will not call Him Jesus anymore. When Thomas finally saw Him crucified,
he saw Him taken down from that cross dead, and he thought, maybe
He is dead. Maybe he was just a man. Jesus is dead. And they took
Him down and laid Him in a tomb. He saw that. But our Lord met
with His disciples. Thomas wasn't there. If you're
not with His people, you're not going to see His glory. Thomas wasn't there. He didn't
hear His voice. His glorious voice. He didn't
see him, his Lord, the risen and resurrected Lord. But finally,
Thomas was with them. He was finally there. And the
Lord spoke to him personally and said, Thomas, be not faithless,
but believe Him. He heard his voice of the risen
Lord, sovereign Lord in his glorified body. He said, Thomas, be not
faithless, but believe Him. Reach hither thy hand and touch
my side. Behold, my hands and my feet."
And after seeing him crucified, buried, risen again, hearing
his voice, touching his side, Thomas hit the dirt, and what
did he say? My Lord and my God! Jesus. I have never called that man
in my life, Henry, except in the third person. You understand? The Holy Spirit, in writing the
Scriptures, is the third person. And he writes this regarding
the humanity of the Lord of Glory. You and I don't call him that.
He said, you call me Lord and Master, you say, well, for what?
So I am. And let a peanut worm be on first-name
basis with the Lord of Glory. I say, they haven't seen His
glory. They've seen His glory. You say,
but so-and-so and so-and-so, they're wrong. Though an angel
from heaven, at the name of Jesus, every knee
should bow. And what? Can he finish the rest
of it? Every tongue confess that he is Lord. He's got a name,
all right, and this is what distinguishes him from another Jesus. He's
got three names. What's the first one? Lord, Sovereign,
Ruler. Try to save? You haven't seen
His glory. Make Him Lord. You haven't seen
His glory. If you've seen His glory, you
realize God hath made Him Lord. That God let you know it. That
God bowed your knee and invoked your heart and opened your eyes
and opened your ears to see what? That He already is Lord. That
He always has been Lord. He was your Lord, though you
didn't know Him. He girded you though you didn't know him. He
fed you. He clothed you. He spared you. He had mercy on
you all those days. Even when you're in a religion,
tell them people what you're going to do with Jesus and what
all you've done for Jesus. Even then, Lord, Jesus. What's that mean? Savior. Not try to save. Savior. Christ. What's that mean? Representative. Covenant head. Messiah, Mediator,
the only high priest. If anybody glows in anybody or
anything but Christ, who is the one that prays for us, the one
that God will hear, they haven't seen His glory. Christ. Peter said, Thou art the Christ.
The Jews knew that God was going to send His Christ, His Messiah,
the Savior of the people, the covenant head, the only one that
could bring them to glory. Lord Jesus Christ. And let me close. He said in
verse 10, I am glorified in them. Oh my, a lot of people, once
again, they like to talk about what they've done for the Lord,
how they're serving the Lord. If anybody talks about the way
they're serving the Lord, they have not seen His glory. Nobody.
I don't care who they are. I don't care who they are. Anybody
talks about how they've served the Lord, they haven't seen His
glory. No, sir. They're fooling you,
fooling themselves. Yes, herein is the Father glorified
that we bear much fruit. You run around talking about
what you've done for Him. You know anybody in heaven right
now that's saying one thing about what they've done? Is anybody
in heaven? Is God exalting anybody? Moses, you did a good job. Paul,
you were a good preacher. Anybody? Who's getting all the
glory? Who are they glorying in? The
Lord Jesus Christ. And that starts here. That understanding
starts here. I am glorified in them. And one
way that He is glorified in them is that they dare not take any
glory to themselves. They give Him all the glory.
Whatever they do, they give Him the glory. You see, these athletes, it's such an abomination, not
only to God, but to us. These athletes whom God gave
the strength, whom God gave the ability, and so forth, and they
do something well, and then they strut around and, oh, that is, that's abominable. Abominable, isn't it? Religion is worse. It's worse. It's worse. Turn on the TV. Oh,
it's a vain show of glory. Look at us. Look at us. He said, Father, I will, verse
24, that they whom thou hast given me be with me where I am. You know why I will be in glory?
Because it was the will of God. Because Christ died. That's why.
Because the Holy Spirit came and got us and regenerated us
and applied the blood. That's why. Nothing else. It
doesn't have anything to do with you and I. What about faith?
What about it? What do you want to say about
it? It's not up to yourself. It's to get to God. He gets the
glory. But no fleshly glory. If you
believe, it's because He gave you that thing. Peter and James,
all of them, said that we believe the power of Christ. And He said,
His next words were, Have not I chosen you? That's why. That they may behold My glory.
Oh, my. If you glory in Him now, just wait till you behold His
full glory. Oh, it's been a mighty poor sermon,
but if you have seen a little of His glory, we preach in part,
we see through a glass dimly, if you've seen just a little
bit of His glory, just wait. If you've heard his voice through
a man, faintly though it is, through a man, through stammering
lips, he said, I'll speak to this people. But if you have
heard his voice speak, just wait. till you hear him whom no man
spake not, whose voice is the sound of many waters." And you
know those last two verses, he said that the love of the Father,
I don't want to misquote it, it says there in the last verse,
I have declared to them thy name, and will declare it, that the
love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. What is that name? The love that
God has loved Christ will be in them. You see that? That the
love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them. God loves
Christ, John spoke in John 3, and hath given all things into
his hand. If the love of the Father is
shared abroad in your heart, you will love and exalt and glorify
and esteem and praise and honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ
and no one else. Certainly not yourself. That's
the love of the Father. The love of the Father is for
His Son. And when God puts that love in
you, you love Him supremely above all. And you hate anything and
anyone that will rob Him of His glory. That's right. You can't bear it. I remember
growing up, you know, as a little child, it's a pretty good illustration,
that I thought my father was the tallest man on earth, the
strongest man on earth, the wisest man on earth. There wasn't anything he couldn't
do. Leap tall buildings with a single man. I did. I thought
that as a little child. And I grew up being a rebel. The older I get, the more I start
to stand. But the point is here, he said,
except you receive the Word as a little child, you're not going
to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And all his little children,
they don't just perceive him as this, they know him as this.
That he is higher than anyone else. stronger, all power is
given unto Him. Not a doctrine. This is their
Lord. This is their Father. They shall
all be taught of God. All the children shall be taught
of God. They'll know Him who He is. And if anybody, when I
was a boy, had said anything bad about my father, had said
anything derogatory about him, it made me a frightened man.
See what I'm saying? And you can't tolerate, you can't
tolerate how men blaspheme God and blaspheme your Lord if you've
seen His glory and seen His glory. John, we're going to sing the
sands of time are sinking because of one verse mainly. The Lamb
is all the glory. and Emmanuel's Lamb. The Lamb
is all the glory.
About Paul Mahan
Paul Mahan has been pastor of Central Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, Virginia since 1989; preaching the Gospel of God's Sovereign Grace.
Pristine Grace functions as a digital library of preaching and teaching from many different men and ministries. I maintain a broad collection for research, study, and listening, and the presence of any preacher or message here should not be taken as a blanket endorsement of every doctrinal position expressed.
I publish my own convictions openly and without hesitation throughout this site and in my own preaching and writing. This archive is not a denominational clearinghouse. My aim in maintaining it is to preserve historic and contemporary preaching, encourage careful study, and above all direct readers and listeners to the person and work of Christ.
