In his sermon titled "Trinitarian Love," Mike Baker explores the doctrine of the eternal love of the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—as they work in complete harmony for the salvation of the elect. He emphasizes how the entirety of salvation from election to redemption and regeneration is rooted in God's sovereign and eternal love, as seen through specific scriptural references such as 1 John 5:7, Romans 9:11-13, and Jeremiah 31:3. Baker argues that God's love is unconditional and not based on human merit, asserting that God's sovereign election and the atoning work of Christ serve the purpose of reconciliation between God and humanity, emphasizing the essential role of the Holy Spirit in applying this love to believers. The sermon's practical significance lies in its affirmation of God’s unwavering love and grace, which equips the believer to both understand and reciprocate this love towards others, reflecting the unity and harmony within the Trinity.

Well, good morning. Good to see
everyone here. I'll be filling in for Norman
this morning, who's in North Carolina and sitting in a living
room right now watching us on TV. Hi to them. So this morning's
message is entitled Trinitarian Love. What a blessing it is when
the Lord reveals His love in us and reveals it in His Son.
So today I wanted to talk a little bit about the three aspects of
eternal love. that are united in salvation
by grace. And as Brother Loren read a little
bit from 1 John chapter 5, John, he wrote a lot about love. He
just wrote about the love of the Father and the love that
he has for us. And in 1 John 3 verse 1, it says,
he says, Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed
upon us. that we should be called the
sons of God. Therefore, the world knoweth us not because it knew
him not. What a wonderful concept to bring
forth. And when we think about this
Trinitarian aspect of love, because He read there in 1 John that
there's three that bear record in heaven, the Father and the
Son and the Holy Spirit. And those three are one and those
three agree. So therefore, they can't be in
disharmony about anything. And in particular, they can't
be in disharmony about love. And so we're going to explore
that a little bit today. And because the nature and attributes
and beings of God, the Father, God, the Son and God, the Holy
Spirit being one, They are in complete harmony in all things,
in complete harmony regarding the chosen of God and their redemption.
There's no disagreement, there's no debates, there's nothing but
total harmony. And they agree on those things,
and there's complete harmony then in love for the elect of
God and all things that's necessary to bring them to Him in perfect
righteousness without spod and without blemish, as it tells
us in Ephesians chapter 5. So our message today takes a
glimpse into the united love of the Godhead as they are displayed
individually in overcoming this sin which separates us from God. That's what the Scriptures say.
Your sins are separated between you and your God. Therefore, there must be a remedy,
there must be a reconciliation, there must be satisfaction for
God in His righteousness and His justice. And the purpose
and perfect will of the Godhead that are in unity are declared
in the electing love of God the Father, the redeeming love of
God the Son, and the renewing love of God the Holy Spirit,
all working in concert. And so as we look firstly at
the electing love of God the Father, the Scriptures are very
clear regarding this important truth, although it's a doctrine
that's not really looked on with much favor by the religious folks
in the world because they're always saying, well, you know
what? It's not fair of God to choose some and not choose others
or to exercise His sovereignty. But what does the Scripture say? The Bible's pretty clear about
it. And those that have issues with it have, as our pastor always
says, well, they're issues with God and His Scripture, not with
us. So, you know, the love of God
is rooted in eternity. And boy, what a blessing for
us when we find that revealed to us, that He loved us even
when we were unlovable, before we had done any works, as he
says in Romans there. And we'll cover that in a minute.
The love of God rooted in eternity based on His electing love and
purpose only and not because of any merit in us. And in fact,
we find quite the opposite. He loves us in spite of how we
are in this world. And He loved us from eternity
and loved us still as sinners in this world. And He sent His
Son in love to be the propitiation for our sins, what the scriptures
tell us. In Romans 9.11, he's very clear
in saying that for the children not being yet born, and he's
quoting here from Malachi 1.1-3, for the children, before they
were born, not having done any good or evil, it had no basis
in his purpose at all. He says, that the purpose of
God according to election might stand according to His sovereign
purpose in His sovereign ability to choose whom He would choose
and to love whom He would love. He says, neither having done
any good or evil that the purpose of God according to election
might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth. And it was
said unto her, the elder shall serve the younger. And as it
is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated." Again,
that quote from Malachi, the first chapter there. And so we
have this glimpse into how God eternally loves us and chose
us and then saves us from our sin and enmity toward him. And This problem of sin, Mike
kind of clearly outlined this in Genesis chapter 3 this morning
where he started with the very beginning in Adam, and he brought
out very succinctly how Adam didn't choose God. In fact, when
Adam's relationship was broken with God because of sin, he went
the other way and hid himself, as Mike pointed out there. And
then he blamed you. It's your fault. So he didn't
seek out God and say, I'm sorry. I made a mistake. I'm sorry I sinned. I'm sorry.
that I did that. No, it was, I'm hiding myself
from you and it's your fault that this is happening. So, as
he brought out there. So, but we find out that God
who loved them from before the foundation of the world, had
a remedy already in place. And we find it's called the land
that was slain from the foundation of the world. Well, when was
that? Well, that was before Adam was created. That was long before
he named him. That was before he took a rib
and made a wife. That was long before he ate the
fruit that the Lord said, thou shalt not eat of it. From the
foundation of the world, the Lord had a lamb slain to take
care of the issue. And then God comes to him and
not the reverse, we find, because he loved him. And then we come to the deplorable
conditions in the days of Noah. And God said, all flesh is corrupted
before me in Genesis chapter 6. But Noah found grace in the
eyes of the Lord. And, you know, we just say that
grace is unmerited favor. It's a favor that's unearned.
It's favor that's bestowed on us from God. And here is this. Interestingly
enough, in this term, we find in Genesis chapter 6 and verse
12, Noah found grace in the eyes of Jehovah, the eternal self-existent
Lord. And that's described for us,
as we find in Romans chapter 9 verse 22, where Paul is describing
this situation, and he says, what if God, He says, people
are always complaining about these issues with God being sovereign
and choosing a people and saving them. And he says, what of God
willing to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured
with much longsuffering, the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction? So here's a sentence that says,
God put up with a lot of stuff in order to accomplish His purpose.
that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels
of mercy, which he had aforeprepared unto glory. So we have two classes
of folks there, those that were fitted to destruction and those
that were aforeprepared unto glory. And he had mercy on the
one and his wrath was exhibited on the other, just as he mentions
regarding Jacob Nesaw in Romans chapter nine, where he says,
Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated. Before they were born,
before they did any good or evil, I had set my love, my eternal
love. That's an important thing for
us to keep thinking of. God just didn't start loving
us at a certain point in time. His love is called an everlasting
love, an eternal love, and it's not not measured in time as we perceive
it. Abraham walking in idolatry till
God chose him to come out. And he said, Get thee out of
thy country and from thy kindred, from thy father's house into
the land I show thee. And Nehemiah brought that out
in Nehemiah 9.7, Thou art the Lord God, the Jehovah, the eternal
God, who chose Abraham and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees
and gave him the name of Abraham." It's interesting, if you study
out that name of Abraham, it was Abram before, but then if you ever get a chance to read
into Juke's Names of God written in I think the 1800s, he explains
pretty interestingly how when the Lord renamed him, he put
a little bit of himself those middle words of Abraham, and
it's just Abram, and a very interesting study there on that name. And
in the days of David, the Spirit spoke by him regarding the state
of the natural man who was dead in trespasses and sins. And in
Psalm 14, we That's again quoted in Romans 3. The Lord looked
down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there was any
that did understand and seek God. And you know what? He found
none. I think that's the sense of that. And Isaiah wrote, he says, he
was despised and rejected of men. And what do we read time after
time in the scriptures regarding the aspect of God the Father
exhibiting eternal love for those whom he chose. In Psalm 110 he
says, in the beauties of holiness,
from the womb of the morning thou hast the dew of thy youth,
thy people willing in the day of thy power." When his power
is exhibited, when his power is exercised on them, we find
wonderful things happen, and then his love is revealed to
us that we had no concept of, that we had no idea about. Boy, isn't it great to find out
somebody loves you? It just makes you feel good.
And to think that God loved you from eternity and had his eye
on you and set all things in motion to accomplish all the
things in spite of what you might have done. We always use Paul for the example
of a person who just took everything religious and went the wrong
direction with it until the Lord stopped him. and then revealed
Himself to him. And one of the things that He
revealed to him is eternal love. In Jeremiah 31.3, the Lord appeared
of old unto me, saying, Yea, there's three words that we need
to look at here in this scripture. I have loved thee with an everlasting
love. That's the word everlasting.
And therefore, with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. So we have
love. We have eternity and we have drawing. Those three elements
expressed in God the Father towards His people, towards the sheep,
towards the elect, towards the church. And this is the truth,
the essence of the truth behind what Jesus says in John 6, 44.
No man can come unto me except the Father which sent me draw
him. Well, he got that right from God the Father, and he quoted
it right there pretty much from Jeremiah chapter 31. this drawing
of the Father, and we've gone into that. I won't spend the
time today to go into that word draw and how powerful and how
effectual it is, but it's the epitome of that fact. And in fact, we find much of
the entire ninth chapter of Romans dedicated to the fact that in
eternal love, God did choose some, and according to His purpose,
didn't choose others, and it was solely based on His purpose
in His, Jacob have I loved, before they did any good or evil, before
they were born, and He amplifies that further on. in Romans 9,
21 through 23, where he uses the example of a potter who has
clay. Suppose we have a big lump of
clay here, and we're the potter, and we said, okay, I'm going
to divide this lump of clay into multiple pieces, and I'm going
to take this lump, and I'm going to put it on the wheel and I'm
going to make something useful, something good out of it. And
this other lump, I'm going to take it and put it on here and
make something not useful, not good out of it. I have the power
to do that. I'm the potter. I have the right.
It's the same lump of clay. I'm just taking one piece of
it to do as I will, and one piece of it to do as I will with it."
And he says, doesn't the potter have the right to do that? Well,
how much more does the sovereign God Almighty have to do that
with His people, to choose some but not choose others? And people
are always accusing God of unfairness. Well, if He was fair, because
we're all sinners, He could just be fair in destroying us all
instead of deciding to set His eternal love on some and save
them. And man kind of hates that because
it removes any doubt that man can or will be able to come to
God on their own merits with their own works, as Mike brought
out earlier. And so as we move forward, Since
God the Father loved a people from everlasting, as it's written
there in Jeremiah, and this people were sinners by nature, by birth,
by choice, then there must have necessity been one who could
satisfy the need of righteousness of God the Father. If these are
going to come to God and be with Him in fellowship with Him, there
has to be some mediatorial process that takes place because your
sins have separated between you and God. They can't come together. God can't have anything to do
with sin. So how can that be taken care
of? How can the righteousness of God the Father be satisfied
and at the same time satisfy the needs of the people to be
saved from a deserved justice? In Romans 3.23 it says all have
sinned and come short of the glory of God. And how is it that
we're brought to Him? It says we're being justified
freely by His grace through God's grace, through
the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth to
be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his
righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through
the forbearance of God, to declare, I say at this time, his righteousness
that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth
in Jesus. So we have this introduction
there of the Son. We have the everlasting love
and the election of God the Father. We have this redemptive quality
of God the Son. So the inescapable conclusion
that we have from 1 John 4, 19 is we love Him because He first loved us. Not just like
first, well today He loved me and therefore after that I'm
going to love Him. He loved first from before the
foundation of the world as it tells us in Ephesians. And since
the love of God for His elect and His church, His sheep are
eternal in nature, the love of the Son for them must be, quote,
equal. and eternal in nature as well,
saying that they are one. And in 1 John 4, 10 says, Herein
is love, not that we love God, but that he loved us, sent his
Son to be the propitiation for our sins. And Revelation 1, 5,
from Jesus who loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. He loved us. The Son loved us.
The Father loved us. And they're all eternal and they
all love eternally. And so it's not one before the
other. They're in harmony, perfect concert
in all things. John 1.1 says, In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. They're co-equal, they're at
one. And in love, God gave a people He had chosen in eternity to
redeem to His Son. He calls them sheep. He calls
them the church. He calls them sometimes my children,
my little children, my elect. In Isaiah 18, it's written, Behold,
I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and
wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in Mount
Zion. Can you imagine? I mentioned
this in a study here that we had a little bit ago in Luke,
I think. But when Jesus finished the redemptive
work on the cross in behalf of his people, he could look to
God and say, behold, I and the children whom thou have given
me, I paid all the price for all their sins. I paid for it.
It's finished. It's all been done. It's all
been taken care of. Behold, they're for signs and
wonders. What a sign and what a wonder. Ephesians 1, 3 says, Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed
us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ,
according as He hath chosen us in Him, in us in Christ, before
the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without
blame before Him. In my KJV version, it says, before
Him in love. In my Greek Interlinear, it puts
a comma there. It says, without blame, before
him, comma. And that's like one clause, one
element. And then it goes on to the next
one, which says, in love, having predestinated us unto the adoption of children.
I guess it doesn't really matter where you put the comma, but
I think it makes more sense because it's kind of two pieces of the
same puzzle. That we should be holy and without
blame before Him in love, having predestinated us unto the adoption
of children by Jesus Christ to Himself. And here we have another
comma that you find in there, according to the pleasure of
His the good pleasure of His will. And that kind of sums up
how this process goes. wherein He hath made us accepted
in the Beloved, in whom we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace."
Boy, what a mouthful. What a set of ideas for us to
ponder and think. An everlasting love. He loved
us with an everlasting love. And again, as we move through
this and we realize that in the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, in John chapter
10, Jesus describes this relationship with the sheep, with the church.
and how they are going to be perceived by him and how they
react when the gospel is effectually presented to them, which is the
job of the Holy Spirit, as we're going to find out here in a minute.
In John 10, 27, it says, My sheep hear my voice. They don't hear
it naturally, because as Mike read this morning from Hebrews,
Hey, you know, the words of the Gospel went out to them as well
as us, but not being mixed with faith, and then the herded didn't
profit them. Well, how has that happened? this mixing with faith. Well,
that's the job of the Holy Spirit, who is co-equal with the Father,
co-equal with the Son, and united in purpose and scope. My sheep
hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and I give
unto them eternal life. And they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father which
gave them me is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck
them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one." What
a powerful statement about the unity of God the Father, God
the Son. And so we have this love of the
Son manifest in this statement in John also regarding His laying
down His life for the sheep and their place, satisfying the justice
and righteousness of God. In John 15, verse 13, Jesus says, greater love hath no man than
this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. And that's
this love that has an eternal quality about it. That's this
love that he exhibited from everlasting. This love that he viewed as the
lamb slain from before the foundation of the world. So now we come
to the spirit of God, who equally is one with God and who then
must eternally love those whom the Father elected or chose. The Spirit of God breathes life
into those whom He, the Father, and the Son loves with an everlasting
love. They're all united in purpose.
They're all united in concert. And you know, this is, We're going to just look at a
couple of aspects of the Holy Spirit because
He does a lot of stuff. There's just volumes written
on all the things that He does, but we're just going to look
at a few of them today because of the time that we have. The Spirit of God breathes life
into those whom the father and the son loved with an everlasting
love. Jesus answered in John chapter
three, as he's speaking to Nicodemus there in John 3, 5, he says,
verily, verily, of a truth, of a truth, I say unto thee, except
a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into
the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh
is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Marvel
not that I said unto thee, you must be born again. The wind
bloweth where it listens, and thou hear the sound thereof,
but you can't tell where it comes from, or whither it goeth. So
is everyone that is born of the Spirit." It's a prerogative of
the Holy Spirit, when and how He applies that. That hymn we sang, I Know Whom
I Have Believed, if you may recall that, he wrote, I know not how
the Spirit moves, convincing men of sin. All those things that he wrote,
I think that was a Civil War veteran that wrote that on a
train, if I remember right, D.W. Whittle. He had one of his arms
shot off, and he didn't know where he was going to end up
or how things were going to go. But he held onto this one thing. I know whom I have believed in.
That's what he held on to. And he wrote that wonderful hymn. And he said, boy, I don't know
how the Spirit does this. It's a mystery. It's a mystery
of God. In Titus 3, verse 4, it says, After
the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according
to His mercy He saved us." And here's the application of the
Holy Spirit. It says, "...by the washing and
regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost." So we have these
aspects all intertwined throughout eternity toward the redemption
of every single one of of the sheep, every one of the church,
Jesus said, all the Father gives me, all that he gives me is going
to come to me. And none that cometh in me I
will know I is cast out. So very potent language there
used about this. You know, the Spirit manifests
the knowledge of that love. by pouring forth that love into
our hearts. Once we've been reborn, once
we've been awakened, once we've been given ears to hear and eyes
to see, the Holy Spirit has the job of manifesting that love,
that eternal aspect of that love to us. And we probably won't
ever come to full terms with it in this lifetime because of
our capacity is just not David said, when I think about
this stuff in the night watches, it's like I can't contain it. It's just too much for me. It
just overwhelms my mind when I think about it. Romans 5, 5
says, and hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed
abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given into us.
So He is the applicating arm of the Trinity that sheds abroad
in our hearts this love that God has exhibited to us, and
which in turn causes us to love Him, which in our natural state
we certainly don't do that. The Spirit testifies in love,
testifies to the Redeemed of Christ, the gospel in John 15,
26, when the comforters come, whom I'll send to you from the
Father, even the spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father,
he shall testify of me. That's one of his primary things
that he does. He testifies of Jesus. In John 16, 3, he says, not just so much a crystal ball
things, but things concerning Himself, things concerning God,
things concerning Jesus, things concerning this everlasting love
that He's had for us from forever. He said, all things that the
Father hath are Mine, and therefore said I, that He shall take of
Mine and shall show it unto you. The Spirit of God and love for
the elect intercedes for us in prayer and other spiritual matters,
as it's written in Romans 8.26. Likewise, the Spirit helps our
infirmities, the things that we're really weak in. You know,
we have our prayers and we say, well, sometimes we don't address everything
that in a public arena. Sometimes our mind just gets
vacuumed out. But things that are in our heart,
things that God has put in our hearts from time to time about
the needs of the body and spiritual matters and our family and concerns
that we have with our loved ones and their relationship with God. And we don't know how to pray
as we ought. because we don't know the purpose
and eternal will of God. So the Spirit takes those prayers
and intercedes for us according to the will of God. You know,
Jesus said in that prayer, how should we pray? And he says,
well, when you pray, say, thy kingdom come, thy will be done.
Not just to repeat those words over and over and over again,
but to have that attitude that our prayers need to be put into
alignment with God's will, not God's will put into alignment
with our prayers. You know, if Ananias in Damascus
would have had his way in a prayer, probably he would have said,
I hope that Paul never gets here. I heard he's coming to throw
us in jail. But that wasn't according to
the will of God the Father. And he said, he's a chosen vessel. Imagine that. He's an elected
vessel unto me to bring my name to the Gentiles. So the Spirit intercedes for
us. He makes intercessions for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searches
the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit, because He makes
intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Thank goodness
for that. Thank God for that, that the
Spirit in love does that. The Spirit in love bears witness
with our spirit that we are the children of God, it says in the
Scripture. The Spirit itself, in Romans
8, 16, beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children
of God. The Spirit of God in love leads
us according to God the Father's will, because in Romans 8, 14
it says, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are
the sons of God. So He leads us according to God's
will, and many times we don't understand that. And we think
that we're just going along as things motivate us. We end up
here or there, around the world, various places, in contact with
many people, and it's all according to the purpose and will of God.
The Spirit of God and love produces the fruit of love in the elect,
and that's one of the fruits of the Spirit that we read about
in Galatians. Excuse me. My allergies are wreaking havoc
with me this week. The fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith. So that
first one there is love. And so, in summary then, the
Father loved and chose us to eternal life. The Son loved us
and died in our place to redeem us and reconcile us unto God.
The Spirit loved us and quickened us unto life and to belief in
Jesus and to the love of God. And therefore, we're united in
love. And John always brings up, he
says, that's a big evidence of your relationship with God. Beloved,
if God so loved us, we ought to love one another. John 1,
John 4, 11. We dwell in Him and He in us
because He has given us of His Spirit. And since these spirits
are all united in one and they all have their basis in eternal
love, it's only fair that we have some of that indwelt in
part of us and even in our limited capacity that we have here in
these frames. One of the jobs of the Holy Spirit
is for us to even confess that Christ is Lord. That doesn't
happen except by Him. Wherefore I give you to understand
that no man, speaking by the Spirit of God, calleth Jesus
a curse, and that no man can say that Jesus is Lord but by
the Holy Ghost. So those two things are immutable
truths. No man that the Spirit has is
speaking with is going to curse Jesus and no man is going to
be able to say that he is Lord except by the Holy Ghost. And he's the element that sanctifies
us, that separates us for the purposes of God. In 1 Corinthians
6.11, he says, he reads off a bunch of stuff that's Mike pointed
out that it was in our natural nature. We're not the shiniest
citizens in our old state. But he said, such were some of
you. But you're washed. You're sanctified. That means separated apart for
purpose of God, just as those vessels in the tabernacle were
sanctified, set apart for a specific thing. You're sanctified, but
you're justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the
Spirit of our God. So the three things are joined
together in harmony, in concert, in unity, washed, sanctified,
justified, all by the Father, by the Son, and by the Holy Spirit.
So we'll stop there for today and we'll have a closing hymn
and maybe a word of dismissal in prayer. So until the next
time and our pastor gets back, be free. I will sing of my Redeemer, and
His wondrous love to me. On the cruel cross He suffered,
from the curse to set me free. Sing, O sing of my Redeemer,
With His blood He cleansed me On the cross He sealed my pardon
Paid the debt And made me free I will praise my dear Redeemer
His triumphant power I'll tell How the victory He giveth over
sin and death and hell. Sing, O sing of my Redeemer,
with His blood He purchased me. On the cross He sealed the bondage,
and in the death have made me free. opportunity to hear that and
to reflect on the work of the Spirit and the Son and the Father. Lord, we thank you that we see
our children in love. friends and family, those who
are traveling, and maybe some more. Thank you Mike. She was telling me that those
people there, they really know how to throw a party. Makes her
generation look like wimps, so... We'll be in town Wednesday if
we get a chance to get together. I'd sure love to. Okay. Alright, look forward to it. Okay. Welcome. Miss you guys. Partly thoughtful of her Tell her if she makes lemon pie
that would probably seal the deal. Take care. We'll see you later.
See you Dom. Signing off. I thought I said that. I think
maybe it was. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has
to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be.
It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has
to be. It has to be. It has to be. It
has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It
has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It
has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It
has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It
has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to be. It has to
be. It has to be. It has to be. It has Hey, Mike. Thank you. Hey, you're
welcome. Once again. My pleasure. What
was the name of the book? Jukes. Andrew Jukes, Names of
God. I think he wrote that in like
1860s. I was picturing him writing it
by the light of a candle. He wrote this book that was on
all the names of God in the Old Testament. So many times it just says God
or the Lord God. It doesn't really... It doesn't
show us in English what all the... The nuances, that's the word. Yeah, exactly. You're welcome. Norm gave me a Bible that's uh,
the Names of God Bible I think it's called. So it does, it takes
everything like what he said and puts it in there. Yeah, you
actually get the right One of the things, I tell Norm this
all the time, one of the things that makes me so happy is as
seldom as David comes or Aaron comes, when they come, they hear
the gospel. It doesn't matter if Norm's here
or you're here or Mike's here or Lauren, they hear the gospel. I'm so grateful for that. We
always say the same thing. You don't have to worry about
when any of our family comes, or friends, or whatever. If they
only come one time, they're... They've heard the gospel. After that, it's... Our job is
done. Alright, I'm going to run this,
but there might be a few more pieces. Bye. I didn't hear everything. I heard
bits and pieces. A couple times my throat got
so dry I couldn't really talk. I should have had a glass of
water up there. I should have took a little sip of water with
me. Yeah. Oh well. Well I'm going
to go on home. I'm going to leave in a little
over an hour. Okay. i told kate i'd be there i try and be there
around 1 30 or so all right i'll babysit as usual Well, maybe see you Wednesday
if you're in town. Well, Mike's holstered me, so
I got an air compressor that quit working. Harbor Freight,
they won't service them and they can't get me in the park. They
can't even get me in the park to fix it. It's not even a year
old. So I had to go back to the air
compressor I bought way back in 1978 and never had to spend
a nickel on it. And it was heavily used when I had the upholstery
shop. air tools and staplers and ratchets and impact wrenches
going all the time. So what part does that work,
the electric motor? No, they're saying they think
it's the pressure switch, because it'll start, run, but it only
can build up to about, and it takes forever for it to build
up to about 80 pounds of air, and then it shuts off, and then
you have to manually restart it won't restart by itself. We're
going to lay hands on it. Yeah, we're going to lay hands
on it. Sprinkle some holy water on it. Pressure switches aren't too
complicated. There's just usually some screws you can adjust in
there to... I just don't know. And if you
have to replace it. I'm calling a 1-800 number back
in Philadelphia someplace or something. Sounds like the pressure
switch. Okay, great for you. And then
they say, well we have the part on back order. And here it is
about probably four months later and they still have it on back
order and have no idea when they're going to get it. If it's a plain
pressure switch you can get it at Home Depot or at Sawyer's.
They got they got they got no we'll see yeah, I'm precious
which Sounds like the rest of it works fine Maybe got maybe got three or
four hours on it total. Yeah, some of them have a pressure
unloader switch to to get a for them to get up to speed before
they close the thing and actually put pressure on them. So they're
not going to get some pressurized tank on them. They get running
before they flip to the tank. Those are usually a little bit
dumber compressors. We can make it work. I'm convinced
of that. We can make it work. It may not
like it, but we'll make it work. I've been thinking about calling
the junk guy up and saying, yeah, I've got some metal here that
you can haul on up. Well, I gotta scram. Yvonne's
got an appointment here in a little bit. See you guys later. Have
a good, see you Wednesday if not before. Yep, yep. Yeah, we're
gonna... I enjoyed the last time we all
got together for lunch. That was pretty awesome. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna,
Thursday we're gonna go up to take Yvonne's mom up to the lake
for Mother's Day. Camp out for a few days. Supposed
to be pretty nice Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Supposed to be warm. Good and warm. I've been hearing
all these ads on the ads. Mother's Day. So I thought Mother's
Day was today. So I'm wondering about Christmas
next week. You're ready to go? Oh, yeah. You don't have to worry
about next week. I'm covered. Flowers are going to be a little
old looking by then. Yeah. Oh, there you go. You're good to
go. This is something that she's actually going to use. I had
your Mother's Day stuff, but I gave it to you last week. She
wouldn't let me give it to her. I said, I can give it to you
now. Well, that gives me a week to
get some. I think that's because I don't have anything from here.
Father's Day comes. Well, see, they always use that
for leverage. If I don't get anything good
for Mother's Day, you don't get anything good for Mother's Day. Yeah,
I used that for many years now we're just Honey, go into the drawer in
the bedroom and pick out which card you like the best. Save
ourselves five bucks. I'll sign it. Yeah, I'll sign
it. Huh. **coughing** Ha ha ha! Yeah, he's a medalist. I don't know. Well... Kind of like somebody that does
the anthem good without monkeying it up. It was nice to sing those praises
That every voice beheld In the blazing flames How sweet the
sound Did you go peepee like a good
girl? It's one of the better renditions
I've heard of it. Yeah, who are you?
