And I want to look at two or
three verses here, and hopefully, by God's blessed grace, we learn
some things. Now, Paul was an apostle. We
all know that. But he says there in verse 3, Since you seek a proof of Christ
speaking in me, there were some there that says, you know, We
don't know if God's using you or not. There was false apostles,
false Christs there, and they were putting question marks on
His ministry. And He said, since you seek a
proof of Christ speaking in me, the Holy Spirit speaking in me,
Christ speaking in me, and to you it's not weak. but is mighty
in it. You're the reason. You're very
confession. You're very faith. You're perfection. And what happened in you is because
of Christ in me. Christ in me. You remember how
that he was in Corinth and he was getting ready to leave and
God said, don't you go nowhere. I have much people in this city.
And he stayed right there. You want to see Christ speaking
in me? There you're my evidence. Your faith, your hope is in me. As you're the very mighty in
you. Then he talked about our Lord
Jesus Christ. Though he was crucified through
weakness. Through weakness. What in the
world is he talking about crucified through weakness? You know our
Lord Jesus Christ became a man. In all his birth, he appeared
weak, born in a manger, laid in a manger. All of his life
he was a poor man. All of his life he was accused
of so many things. Accused of having a devil, accused
of being a wine-bibber, being a drunkard. accused of a lot
of things and he opened not his mouth and when they crucified
him he was made in the likeness of sinful man though he was not
sinful and then in that flesh he was crucified he was crucified
in that body never defended himself not one time But yet he lives
by the power of God. God raised him again from the
dead. He lives by the very power of God. God raised him up. God
sent him at his own right hand. And there he sits in the majesty
of God himself at God's right hand. And then Paul said, for
we're weak with him. We're weak with him. You think
Christ was weak? We're weak too. But he said,
this is how we're going to live and this is the way everybody's
going to live if they know Christ. We live by Him and the power
of God towards you. And then he goes on to say this,
examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith, whether you
be in the faith, Prove your own selves. You try
your own selves. You prove to your own selves.
Don't prove it to me. You prove it to yourself. You
try yourselves. And you know yourselves whether
Christ is in you. Is Jesus Christ in you? That's
what he said. Is Jesus Christ in you? If Jesus
Christ ain't in you then, you're a reprobate. You're a pretender.
You've been rejected of God. But I trust that you shall know
that we're not reprobates, that Christ is in us. You're the proof
of our ministry. Now I pray to God that you do
no evil, but that you should appear approved, but that you
should do that which is honest, though you count us as one who
has no power. Because we can't do nothing against
the truth, but for the truth. And here's the question that
he asks when he says examine yourselves whether you be in
the faith or not. Prove your own self whether Jesus
Christ is in you. That's a real question. Is Jesus
Christ in you? That's the question he asks.
Examine yourselves, prove your own self that Jesus Christ is
in you. Jesus Christ is in you. You want
proof of Christ in me? I want you to examine yourself
whether you're in the faith and Jesus Christ is in you. Whether you know the true doctrine,
whether you know Jesus Christ or not. How does anybody get
it? You know that Paul said this over in Colossians. He said,
Christ in you. That's the hope of glory. Now
you want to know whether Christ's in me. I want you to find out
whether Christ is in you or not. It's Jesus Christ in you. You
know how a person gets in Christ? Now you keep 2 Corinthians. Look
over in 1 Corinthians 1. I want you to see how a person
gets in Christ. I know one thing, a person can't
put himself in Christ. I do know that. And examine yourselves. Prove
your own selves. Try your own selves. Prove it
to you. Don't prove it to me. Don't prove it to the person
sitting next to you. Don't prove it to your husband
or your wife. Prove your own selves. Whether Jesus Christ
is in you, whether you're in the faith or not. But look what
it said here in verse 30. It's talking about God now. But
of Him, of God, Are you in Christ Jesus? How do you get in Christ
Jesus? God puts you in Christ Jesus.
You can't get in Him no other way. And then God turned around
and made Christ unto us. Is Christ in you? Then He's wisdom
to you. Is Christ in you? Then He's righteousness
to you. Is Christ in you and you're in
the faith? He's sanctification to you. Is Christ in you and
you're in the faith? Then it's redemption. He's your
redemption. And all this is, and this is
how you can tell whether Christ is in you or not. That according
as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in one person.
The Lord. The Lord. Now I want to go back
here and look at this 2 Corinthians 5. And it says examine yourselves
whether you be in the faith, whether you prove your own selves.
Prove your own self. Have you got a relationship with
Jesus Christ? Do you know God? Do you know
God in Christ? Now, God's Word, when we talk
about the faith, He's talking about what we actually believe.
You know, when you join the Army or the Marine Corps, or you go
to get your driver's license or anything, a lot of times they
ask, what's your faith is? People say Baptist, Pentecostal,
Holiness. Presbyterian, but when Paul talked
about being in the faith, he's talking about believing Christ,
trusting Christ, the faith of God's elect, the faith that God
gives you by His blessed grace. And you know when he talks about
do you know God, prove your own selves. Now God's word tells
us how relationship with God happens. You want to prove yourself? The Bible tells us and His Word
tells us exactly how a relationship with God happens. And if you
have this relationship with God, you have this relationship with
the Lord Jesus Christ, you desire a closer, more intimate relationship
with Him. And relationship with God is
to know Christ. It's to know Christ. Close, more
intimate relationship with Him. And that's what we want. That's
what anybody that knows that Christ is in them. The first
thing them folks would have known is the minute that Paul asked
them that, he said, I know this. I know God. I want to know God.
I want to know Christ. I want to win Christ. I want
to be found in Christ. That would have been the first
thing that Ted has said. I'll prove to you that I'll prove
to myself that Christ is in me. I'll prove to myself that whether
I'm in the faith or not. And that's why he said, how do
you know God? He said, if you prove yourself, how do you know
God? Well, how do you know God? What do you know about God? I
know and you know that He's holy. You know that He's righteous.
John says that in him is light, holiness, infinite light, glorious
light, a light above the brightness of the sun. And then he said,
and in him is no darkness at all, no darkness at all. And I tell you what he says,
by his own will begat he us with the word of truth. God did that. And how do we know God? Well,
He's omnipotent. He's got all power. I mean, He's
got it all. We don't have any power. Ben
talks about His power. He's got power to do this, power
to do that. Shirley and I talked about it yesterday. We absolutely,
we are utterly and absolutely dependent on God for everything. I mean he's sovereign and he's
ruling. There's nothing, you know, we're
worried about what this happened, that's gonna happen. It's gonna
happen exactly the way God determined to be happened before the foundation
of the world. That's what's gonna happen. Huh? Oh, I was talking to a fellow
from Florida. I've been talking to him quite
a bit and having some wonderful relationships with him. And I
told him the other day, and he was talking about the greatest
illustration of God saving a man is God raising Lazarus from the
dead. I said, yeah it is. And then we got talking about
God and a relationship with God. And what God's given us. And
he talked about how he was brought to faith, how he was brought
to believe the gospel, how he was brought to understand the
gospel. And he says this, he said, I
know that God did it all. He gave me life before I could
believe. He gave me repentance before
I could believe. He gave me everything before
I could know anything. And I said, yep, there's nothing
we got that God didn't give us. Nothing we know that God didn't
teach us. And I'll tell you what, that's
why you want to examine yourselves, what do you know about God? Is
He sovereign? Or do you ask the question, how
can the world be like it is? How can the world be in such
chaos and confusion? How can men be so mean? How can
they be so cruel? How can they blaspheme God? How
can they say and do the things that they do? Because God gives
them enough rope to hang themselves. And you know the only reason
you and I are not like that? Because God saved us and kept
us from that. You know what faith says? Faith
don't look at the world and say, oh my, what in the world is going
to happen? Faith looks at the world and says, God's will is
going to be done. Faith don't look at their self
and say, what am I going to do about me? Faith says, what's
God going to do for me? Faith doesn't look at some fearful
thing and say, well how am I going to deal with that? Faith says,
God will deal with it! Ain't that right? Faith backs up and says, God! Not unto us, O Lord, but unto
thy name be glory, both now and forever, and amen. How can life be like it is with
a God who is a God of love? How can my life be like it is? How can I be so sick? How can
I have such bad news? How can life be treating me the
way that it is? They say, well God dealt you
a bad hand. God's not a card dealer. He don't
play poker. God don't deal hands. He don't
flip cards out. God controls and God rules and
God sends, He gives a hearing ear to sin eye, He gives poverty
and He gives wealth, He gives life and He gives death. And
He's the first cause of everything and if you get to, next time
you go to the doctor and he tells you, you've got cancer and you're
going to die within a year, what are you going to do? Faith says,
well, this way God's going to take me home. It might be rough,
but that's the way God's going to take me home. I'm serious about this. We're
not, God's not playing games with us. He's not playing games
with this world. Go ahead and you know, when we
get in Revelations, you'll see how that God, over and over and
over and over again, He makes Himself to be known whom He is. And when it's all said and done,
they say, Hallelujah, the Lord God omnipotent reigneth! And hallelujah, salvation belongs
unto God. Huh? Oh my. I'll tell you why men think like
that. Because they want Him to be made
in their image. If I was God, this is the way
I'd do things. And that's why Paul said, you
know what he told about God loved Jacob and hated Esau? They said,
well that's not fair. Well who in the world are you
to say what's fair and who's not fair with God Himself? Huh? Oh my, He's not like us. And that's why men despise Him. That's why they hate His Word.
That's why they hate His way. That's why He hates His Son.
That's why they hate His Son. Because He's not in their image. You thought I was all together
like somebody like you. He said, I'm not. I'm not. Oh my. I love God just the way
He is. Don't you? And I said this years
and years ago when God first taught me the gospel. I said this, if I had to change
God in any way to save my children, my grandchildren, or anybody
that I know or love, then they're going to have to perish because
I wouldn't change anything about God the way He is. He's perfect
like He is. That's what makes Him God. I
read something by Spurgeon this morning, he said, and that as
well, try to drink the ocean dry as the finite mind to comprehend
God. Oh, that's why I said, let us
examine ourselves, prove yourself, whether Christ is in you. Through
true faith knows who God is. And that's the first thing they
would have said. Well, Paul, I know who God is. I know Christ
lives by the power of God. I know I'm living by the power
of God. Here's the second thing they
would have said. When you examine yourself and prove your own self,
this second thing, you know, how do you know Christ is in
you? How do you know you're in the faith? Well, salvation is
the work of God. It's a work of God. Jonah said
when he was in the belly of the whale, and that's what he called
him, he said it was a great fish, but our Lord talked about a whale. And he was down in the belly
of that whale, and you know what he said? I know the salvations
of the Lord. If I get out of here, and I'm
saved, and I get out of this whale's belly, and I ever get
on dry land, it's going to be God that does it. If He ever
breaks me up out of the deep, He's going to have to be the
one that does it. And here's what He does, and I'm going to
preach on this soon. He said He brought that big whale
up and He spit Jonah out. But now if you're an Armenian
in the free will, you know what you said? He spit him out about
waist deep and said, now you make it the rest of the way by
yourself. Though the scripture said he went up and spit him
out on dry land. Oh, I tell you what, the salvation
of the righteous of the Lord. Here's something else. It's not
only a work of God, but it's a miracle. Do you know salvation
is a miracle? You look at yourself and what
you think and what you do and how you act and the things you
think and the things you say and you'll say that if I'm saved,
it's a miracle. It's a miracle. I'm a miracle. I woke up this morning, I was
a miracle of God. I still saved. Oh listen, it's an action, it's
an action that only God can perform. And what He does, He manifests
His eternal creative power when He saves a man. You know that? He uses His Eternal creative
power. That's why Paul, when he told
them over there in 2 Corinthians chapter 4, he says, would God
command the light to shine out of darkness in creation? He commanded. What? The light to shine in our
hearts. Huh? And you know when God created
something, He created something out of nothing. And when He created
us, He created something out of nothing. And you know why we still are?
Nothing. It's like the New Testament lepers. He cleansed them and they were
immediately made whole. When he spoke to Lazarus, he
said, Lazarus come forth, dead men do not live. Dead men do
not hear, dead men do not see. But when Jesus Christ said, Lazarus
come forth, he came forth and he was still bound in grave clothes. He had his grave clothes on. Huh? How did he get out of there? Did he flunk? What did he do?
I don't know, I don't care. I just know that when Christ
told him to live, he lived. And I tell you, we sang that
song, that little chorus, it took a miracle to put the stars
in place. It took a miracle to hang the
world in space. It took a miracle when it saved
my soul, cleansed and made me whole. It took a miracle of love
and grace. Oh, and for a man, I tell you,
I tell you, you know, if you're not in the faith, you'll talk
about being good. Oh, you're talking about being
good. You're talking about living a good life. And if you talk
like that, if anybody talks like that, they're robbing God of
His glory. They're lying on themselves, they're lying to themselves,
and they're lying on God. God must act. God Himself must
come and act upon a man. Now you keep set quick. Just
look over here with me in Jeremiah chapter 4. No, excuse me, Jeremiah
chapter 18. In verse 2, Jeremiah chapter
18, look over here with me. You know, God has to come and
act upon a man. I mean, you know, say, well,
He don't get you by the nap of the neck. No, He don't. He just
takes your will and changes your will. Not only does he do that,
but he takes out a heart that's made of stone and puts in a heart
that's flesh that can be touched, can be moved. Look what he said
here now. He's talking to Jeremiah and
he says in verse 2, Arise and go down to the potter's house. And there will I cause thee to
hear my words. Then I went down to the potter's
house, and behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of
clay was marred in the hand of the potter. So he made again
another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then
the word of the Lord came to me, saying, O house of Israel,
can I not do with you as this potter? Behold, as clay is in
the potter's hand, so are you in my hand. Oh my. And you know, that's why Paul
said the same thing over in Romans chapter 9. Hath not God power
over the clay to make a vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor? Did I ever tell you about the
time that I was in a meeting down in Clinton or Powell, somewhere
down in there, when Larry Simpson was pastoring the church down
there. And Tim James came over there and we was preaching. Tim
came to service that night and he was going to preach out of
Romans 9. Clay, God out of the same lump, out of the same lump,
Adam's lump, he took some clay. And he takes some of that clay
and makes him a vessel of honor. People that he saves by grace.
People that's going to glorify God. Then he takes some of the
rest of that clay and he makes an ashtray out of it. He makes a trash can out of it.
He can do what he wants to with it. It's a dishonor. Well, old
Tim got up and preached some of that and he took that clay
and he said, he took it and he said, this is for honor right
here. This is for dishonor right here. He just, he took some clay
and he preached with that clay sitting up there. And that's
what he said. And he says, and that's what
we are in God's hands. I'd rather be in God's hands
than anybody else's hands. You know what he says? He said,
not only are we in Christ's hands, but we're in the Father's hands.
Now that's one hand. Here's another hand. Tell me,
who in the world can get you out of them hands? You say, I
can. Would you want to? Who in the world would want to
be out of God's hands? He's going to hold us in His
hands until He takes us and sets us down in glory and then He'll
open His hands and leave us go. But not till then. Not till then. Ain't that what He said? Oh,
bless His name. And it's like Nicodemus. Oh,
let's look over here in John 3. I don't want to take too long,
but I tell you, this is what I'm talking about. I'm talking
about salvation to the Lord. We know that salvation is a miracle. This is the work of God. It's
a new birth. It's a creation. It's a creative
act of God. You know, when somebody's brought
again from the dead, that's a creative act. And look what he said here now.
In verse 2. The same came to Jesus, a Pharisee
of Nicodemus, the ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus
by night and said, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher
come from God. We know that. You're just a teacher. Didn't call him master. Didn't
call him savior. Didn't call him redeemer. Didn't
call him God's son. Rabbi. We know that thou art
teacher come from God. For no man can do these miracles
that thou doest except God be with him. And he was watching
our Lord, following our Lord around. And he said, I see all
these miracles and there ain't no way in the world anybody can
do those miracles unless God's been with him. And he was probably
going to ask him, how do you do these miracles? What makes
you so special? Explain them to me. But our Lord
interrupted him before he never said another thing. And he said,
I'm telling you, in verse 3, I'm telling you truly, truly,
except a man be born, he can't see the kingdom of God. Why can't
he see? Because he's blind. He don't
even know there is a kingdom. He don't even know anything about
it. And then he goes on to say, Nicodemus
said unto him, oh my, you're talking ridiculous now. You absolutely
don't make any sense at all. How's a man going to be born
again? How's that going to happen? How can a man be born when he's
old? I'm an old man now. I'm an old man. What am I going
to do? I'm going to go back to my mother's
womb and come and be born again a second time? No, no. Our Lord said, except a man be
born of the water, that's the Word, and the Spirit of God,
he can't enter the Kingdom of God. He can't see it and he can't
enter. And our Lord said, that which is born of the flesh is
flesh, and that's all it's ever going to be. And then, you know,
when a man's been born of the Spirit, he becomes a spiritual
man. Now what in the world's that
mean? Marvel not that I said until you must be born again.
And our Lord said, accept. That's not rational. That's not
rational. It can't happen. And people say
all the time, I'm a born again Christian. There's no other kind. There's no other kind. Are you
a born again Christian? Follow me around and see. Follow
me around and see. I'll tell you what. And our Lord
said, the wind blows where it will. The wind blows where it
will. Every once in a while you can
really tell the wind's blowing. Sometimes you can tell the wind's
really blowing today and other times it's just a light breeze. But I know this much, whoever
it blows on, they're going to have a new birth. They know they're new. They know
they're new. And I'll tell you something,
beloved, it's a complete, and you listen to me now, it's a
complete, absolute, radical change. You're talking about a radical
change going from death to life. That's about as radical as you
can get. Now we know people that go from life to death, but to
come from being dead, Can't see, can't hear, can't feel, don't
know. Blind, deaf and dumb. Till all
of a sudden you're alive. You're alive. There's nothing superficial about
that. It's a work of the Spirit of God. It's a work of the Spirit
of God. Look over here in 2 Corinthians
3, where we were just at. Look in 2 Corinthians 3. You know, I don't know how to say it other
than it's a radical change. You know you come from believing
a lie to believing the truth. You come from being in darkness
that you're in light. You come out of the grave and
you're alive. You got new clothes on. You got new minds. Listen to
what he said here in verse 2. 2 Corinthians 3. You are our
epistle. Talking about these people here
at Corinth. You are our epistle. You're our
letter. You're written in our hearts. And everywhere we go,
you're known and read of all men. Because we go around telling
what God's done for you. And for as much as you are manifestly,
listen to this now, clearly, manifestly declared to be the
epistle of Christ, the letter of Christ, ministered by us. Now he says, you're not a letter
written with ink. Ink didn't produce this letter.
but with the spirit of the living God." Oh, what did he do? Not in tables of stone like the
law, but in fleshly tables of the heart. He wrote on that heart. And you became an epistle of
Christ. He said, we have new hearts. We're born again. God, if you don't hear anything
else I say today, you listen to this right here. When God
gives a man a new birth, when God puts a man in the faith,
when Christ is in you, your hope of glory, God brings into existence
something that was not there before. He brings a life into
you that never existed before. He brings in a new person that
never existed before. That person is a spiritual person. And you know, you know as well
as I do, that's true. That's true. And what does he
call it? He calls it a new creation. If
any man be in Christ, what is he? A new creature. He's a new creation. He has a
life that he never had before. He has an understanding that
he never had before. He has a new understanding. And
now God's Word speaks to us. It never spoke to us before,
but now it speaks to us. It tells us things. It reveals
our hearts. It reveals our thoughts. It reveals
our intents. It reveals our desires. And I tell you something, it
brings us, gives us a new outlook. Oh my, we're looking outside. Gives us new desires. I never
used to desire to go to church. Used to desire to go to worship
the Lord. I didn't used to do that. And
there's a lot of folks that don't do it now. You know why a lot
of folks are out on the boat today? They don't want to be
in a... They don't want to hear about God. They want to hear
about Christ. Or they're sitting home watching
ball games instead of coming here to the gospel. We got new
desires. We desire the gospel. We desire
Christ. We desire fellowship. We desire
His word. We got new taste. Our taste changes. Oh, we taste grace. We taste
love. We taste Christ. And I tell you what, we love
this book right here more than any other book on the face of
this earth. I mean, we don't just like it. We love it. We love this book. We love the
Bible. We love to pray. Be sure to say
your prayers. Now lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Say your prayers. Church of England
years ago, They ejected, they had a great ejection. John Bunyan
was, you know, he preached the gospel and they had prayer books. And you had to use those prayer
books. And when you prayed, you'd pick out a certain prayer out
of that prayer book. And you prayed that prayer out
of that book. And if you didn't do that, and refused to do that,
and you believe God caused a man to pray, and God to look to a
man to pray, then they'd put you out. Because they wanted
you to pray the way they thought you ought to pray. And they say,
well, pray the sinner's prayer. That's the only kind of prayer
we can ever pray. Huh? Nobody had to teach you to pray,
did they? Anybody need to teach you to pray today? No. No. And I'll tell you something.
We love being with God's people. Just love it. Just love it. And I got to hurry. I'll tell
you what. This change, this radical change is satisfying. It's so satisfying. And it's
completely satisfied. We're satisfied with its result.
We're satisfied with its effects. Sing that old song, In Jesus
I found a sweet rest. Oh, we find a rest in Christ.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, Come unto me and rest. Lay down
thy weary head. Thy weary one, lay down thy head
upon my breast. John Bonar said that. And Augustine said this, Thou
hast made us for Thyself, and our souls are restless until
they find their rest in Thee. Now let me tell you how it satisfies
us. That's how we know Christ in us. We know we're in the faith
because this gospel, Christ in us, and the faith satisfies our
mind. It satisfies our intellect. I'm too intellectual to believe
the Bible. You're too stupid. You know, listen. Can your intellect
comprehend it? Huh? Listen, the Bible is a bottomless
well. It answers questions we ask. Where did we come from? Where
did the world come from? Why is man like he is? Will a
man die? Will he live again? How can a
man be just with God? And the Bible answers all them
questions for us. So it satisfies our mind. We're
not looking for any more answers as to how we're saved. And what
God says. And then it not only satisfies
our mind, our intellect, but it satisfies our heart. It satisfies
our emotions. We got emotions. I'm about as
emotional a person as you'll ever be around. I'm very emotional. But I tell you what, it's not
sentimentalism. No, no. It's not like a book
that'll make us cry or a movie that'll touch our emotions. It's
not sentimental. But our emotions, our heart,
our soul, our emotions, that deep love that God puts in a
man. That joy that He puts in a man.
That peace that He meets in a man. And this Word, this Gospel, satisfies
the needs of our heart. It does. More so than anything
we ever dreamed of. It comes and speaks to us. It
satisfies our hearts. You know, the horse leaves cries,
more, more, more. Hell says, I want more. But the heart that knows Christ
says, I don't want no more. I've got enough. My heart's satisfied
with hell. And I'll tell you something else.
This Christ in us, this faith, it gives us a purpose in life. You know that? It gives us a
real purpose in life. We're not aimless. We don't have
no objectives in life. And like a fellow told me the
other day, he said, when I heard the gospel for the first time,
I said, this is the only thing that I ever heard that actually
makes the Bible make sense to me. Makes sense to me. And I tell you, you know what
our purpose in life is? To live for Christ. To live for
Christ. To live to Christ. And you know
what we're doing? We've got another purpose in
here. We're looking for a city whose builder and maker is God. And we're going to look until
we find it. I tell you another purpose we've
got is to keep on. You see, there's a big obstacle
there. We're going to keep on. There's some things in the way,
we're going to keep on. There's going to be a lot of
pain, we're going to keep on. There's going to be a lot of
sorrow, we're going to keep on. There's going to be life, we're
going to keep on. There's going to be death, we're
going to keep on. We're just going to keep on looking,
keep on believing, we're going to keep on trusting. And I tell
you, this life that we're talking about here that God gave us,
it's a life that grows. It's a life that grows. It grows. Once God breaks in on us, you
know what? Teach me more, Lord. Teach me
more, Lord. Teach me more, Lord. I want to
know more. I want to know about God. I want to know more about
Christ. I want to know more about myself.
I want to know more about salvation. I want to know more. And we grow,
we grow, we grow in grace. And the last thing, and I'm done.
You know what is a surprise to us? Our salvation in the life
that God gave us. It surprised us, it still surprises
us. And you know what? It still amazes
us. It still amazes us. When you
get up, go to work, come home, and you've got all the things
you have to deal with, don't you come home and say, Lord, it's a surprise that I'm still
saved. I've still got hope. And you come back to Christ where
you're cleansing from being out of that old, stinking, rotten,
corrupt world. Kim said the other night, telling
somebody said, the world don't know anything about grace or
don't expect anything out of it. And they don't. They don't. And we know something
about grace. We know something about this
life. Examine yourselves. You prove yourselves. Whether
Christ is in you and you're in the faith. How many of you think
you're in the faith? Believe you're in the faith?
How many of you believe Christ is in you? The hope of glory?
I ain't going to ask you to raise your hands. I'd like to hear
about the way you reacted, the way you reacted to the gospel.
Our Father, oh our blessed Father, in the precious name of our Lord
Jesus Christ, thank you, oh God. Thank you, thank you, thank you
for the grace and mercy given us in Christ. Thank you for the
faith. Thank you for the life. Thank you for the birth. Thank
you for creating in us new hearts, new will, new desires, new taste,
new understanding. We bless you for it and thank
you for it in Christ. God bless these dear saints.
Save you people here. Save you sheep. Bring sinners
to yourself. We ask it for Christ's sake.
Amen. Amen. Every hour of every day, every
moment. and in every way I'm leaning
on Jesus He's the rock of my soul I'm singing His praises
Wherever I go
