I want to get the title of my
message out of verse 11. I'll say a few things about this. John 10, 11. I am the Good Shepherd. The Good, Good Shepherd. Here our Lord Jesus calls Himself
the Good Shepherd. Perfect Shepherd. And he says
down in verse 8, all that ever came before me are thieves and
robbers. And all that yet to come, if
they don't come through Christ and preach Christ and talk and
teach of Him as He is, are thieves and robbers. They robbed God
of His glory. They robbed Christ of His power
and His affections and of His blood, of His death. And He said,
everybody that ever came before me, they were just nothing but
a thief, nothing but a robber. He called them idle shepherds.
But this is one of the most glorious One of the most blessed images
that our Lord gives of himself. Good shepherd. Good shepherd. David says, the Lord is my shepherd. This is who he's talking about. He's talking about the Lord Jesus
Christ. And he said, that's my shepherd. He's going to lead
me. And I shall not want. But anyone,
you know what he says, he's the good shepherd. Anyone can understand
the strong protecting the weak. The wise guarding the simple. The wealthy taking care of the
poor. And you can understand especially
a shepherd watching over for and caring for and protecting
his sheep. Not only protecting them, but
if one's lost, He goes and he don't stop until he finds him.
And when he finds him, puts him on his shoulders and bring him
back and say, rejoice with me, my sheep which was lost is now
found. Now there's two kinds of sheep
in this world. Found sheep and lost sheep. And God don't make
goats into sheep. You know, there's a few found
sheep here. And we're on the trail, as Brother
Henry said, we're on the trail of God's sheep. I don't know
who they are, but I know what they hear. They hear His voice. And when they hear it, they come.
But our Good Shepherd, our Good Shepherd, let me show you the
first thing He does here. He says in verse 11, I am the
Good Shepherd. Good Shepherd. Good Shepherd. God is good. Christ is good. His word is good. And the Good
Shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. When he says he gives
his life for the sheep, he's not talking about laying down
his life to defend the sheep. Not talking about laying down
his life to protect the sheep. He's talking about laying down
his life to save his sheep. To save them from their sin. To save them from their self. To save them from their self-righteousness. To save them for their own ability. To save them from their own ignorance. To save them from their traditions.
And he laid down his life to save, who? The sheep. He's such
a good shepherd that he puts himself in the stead of the sheep. Puts himself in the stead of
the sheep. He, beloved, he laid down his life to shed his blood,
to redeem, to buy, to pay for his sheep. Look what he says
in verse 15 down here. He said in the last part of the
verse, I lay down my life for the sheep. Verse 18, I lay down
my life. No man taketh it from me, but
I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down.
I have power to take it up. He talks about laying down his
life for the sheep, for the sheep. Ruby says she woke up singing
this morning. What was the name of that song? I heard a voice from heaven say,
take me instead. That's a good song to wake up
to. But the Good Shepherd, look at John 15, 13. John 15, 13. Look what our Lord said here
about himself. Oh, you're talking about a good
shepherd. Oh, what a good shepherd. Look what it says here about
him over here. John 15, 13. Greater love, greater
love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his
friends. My now let's back over here in
John 10. Not only does he lay down his life, but the Good Shepherd
has all power Look what he says down in verse 18 He says no man
takes my life from me. That's what he's talking about.
No, I lay down my life that I might take it again No man taking this
from me to buy. I lay it down of myself. I have
the power to let down I have the power to take it up again.
I Here's what happens now, beloved. The good shepherd has the power
to die. God gave him this power. To die. Gave him this authority, this
ability. To die when it was his time to
die. Not before. You know how many
times they come to take our Savior? And our Savior says, you know,
they came to take Him in John 7. And they said, never man spake
like this man. One time they came to take Him
to throw Him over a hill and He just went away from among
them. And every time they'd come to get Him, He'd say, My hour
has not yet come. My hour has not yet come. So
when his hour was come, he sat on the cross. He sat on the cross. It's finished. Everything's done.
And then, then it said he gave up the ghost. Men I know took
wicked hands and crucified the Son of God. But he had an appointed
time to die. God gave him that time to die. And our Lord Jesus Christ died
of his own will, of his own power, of his own volition. He could
not have died because he had no sin. The only way he could
have died if he had somebody else's sin. Now he was sinless. And the only way he can die,
and he's done this willingly, that's why he says, I have the
power to lay it down. I've got the power to lay it
down. Ain't nobody take, you know Pilate said, you know I've
got power to crucify you, I've got power to let you go. You
know what our Savior said to him? You've got no power. You
have no power. Who do you think you are? He
says, all the power you've got is what my Father gives you.
And our Father gave him the power to die. And that's why he says, Father
into thy hands, commend you my spirit. And not only that, but
listen to this. I've got the power to take it
up again. And nobody else can raise from
the dead. If I die, I'm not coming out
of the grave. You can mark that down. I'm not
coming back again. Christ will have to come get
me to get me out of the grave. I'm not going to rise again from
the dead. But our Lord Jesus Christ was
dead. And they buried Him. And when
Sunday morning rolled around 2,000 years ago, they went over
there to see Him and see what was going on. And our Lord Jesus
Christ wasn't there. Why? Because He had the power
to give Himself life again. I can't do that. Nobody else
has ever. Anybody that's ever raised from
the dead, God had to do it. And our Lord Jesus Christ says,
this commandment have I received to my father. I've got the power
to die. And I'm going to die. But just
as sure as I die, I've got that same power, that same authority,
that same ability to give myself life again. My word. A fella laying dead. Now years and years and years
ago there was a fella named Tony Alamo out somewhere out west. Arkansas or some place like that.
And this was one of them guys that done all these miracles
and all that kind of stuff and everybody thought you know. And
he told them if he died he was going to raise again from the
dead. They kept his body in the place where he met at, for I
don't know how many days, waiting for him to raise again from the
dead. And finally they took him out and buried him. Now you remember one person,
one person had the power to raise himself again from the dead,
and that's the Lord Jesus Christ. He got up, and let me tell you
something. When they went looking at that tomb, They looked in
there and they saw the linen clothes lying. Right where the
body that he was in. You know his body was wrapped
in these linen clothes. And he had a napkin over his
eyes. Napkin over his eyes. They got there and the clothes
he was in was still there wrapped up just exactly like they was
when he was in them. They was laying there and the
napkin was laying over here. He reached up and took that napkin
off Come out of there just like that. Well, oh, listen. Let me show
you something. Look over at John 18.10. You
know what he said? Because this commandment have
I received of my father. God gave me this commandment.
He commanded me to lay down my life, command me to take it up
again. And he gave me this power. And our Lord Jesus Christ The
Father commanded life and death to be in His power. He commanded
that. You're going to have the power
of life and death. Death and life. You got that
power. And the Father, He says, Herein doeth my Father love me,
because I have the willingness to lay down my life. But look
what our Lord said. Here in John 18 and verse 10. Then Simon Peter, having a sword,
drew it and smote the high priest's servant and cut off his right
ear. The servant's name was Malchus.
Listen to what our Lord said. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put
up thy sword into the sheath. The cup which my father hath
given me, shall I not drink it? You think I'm not willing to
take this cut? You think that I'd do anything?
You're trying to save me from going to the cross. You're trying
to save me from these men taking me. But shall I not take this
cut my father gave me? And he said, my father loves
me and commandments me to lay down my life. And so all this,
and that's why our Lord Jesus Christ said he was led as a lamb
to the slaughter. He was led as a sheep before
his shears dug, and he opened not his mouth. He himself made his soul an offering
for sin. Oh, bless his name. We see Jesus
who was made a little lower than the angels. What for? For the
suffering of death. He suffered death, but oh, bless
his name. He brought life again too. When
Mary and Martha says, Lord, if you would have been here, my
brother hadn't have died. You know what our Lord said?
He said, Oh, your brother's going to live again. Oh, I know that.
It's the resurrection at the last day. Our Lord said, The
resurrection ain't a day. I am. The resurrection's not a day.
I'm the resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who hath
part in the first resurrection. And oh my, all right, look what
else he says down here in verse 16. Oh, listen, he's got the
power to let down, the power to take it up again, this commandment,
if I received him a father. And then in verse 16, he says,
down the middle of the verse, other sheep I have which are
not of this foal, them also must bring, and listen to this, they
shall hear my voice. This sheep that He lays down
His life for, this sheep that He laid it down, the sheep that
He brought Himself again from the dead, He says, My sheep shall
hear My voice. My sheep shall hear my voice.
Y'all may remember here just a few weeks ago, the vice president
mentioned, you know, that the Lord spoke to him. And people
ridiculed him, ridiculed him, said, oh my, he must be delusional. He says the Lord spoke to him,
said Jesus spoke to him. Well, I'm here to tell you the
Lord Jesus speaks to me. Am I delusional? Are you delusional? How does
the Lord Jesus hear my voice? Well, how in the world do we
hear His voice? In His Word. In the Gospel. In the truth of
the Word. In the truth of the Gospel. That's
how we hear His voice. How do we hear His voice and
His Word? Oh my, more about Jesus in His
Word. Holding communion with my Lord,
hearing His voice in every line, making each faithful, saying
mine. And how do we hear His Word?
We hear it in the Gospel. How many of y'all said before,
said, boy I sure need to hear from the Lord this morning. You
come to the service and say, I need to hear from the Lord.
Listen well how you go here. You don't hear an audible voice.
I don't hear an audible voice I'm not one of these fellows.
You know that they'll say oh lord lord wait a minute wait
a minute I need to do this for you like they're gods talking
in their ear But I'll tell you what you know where I find God
to speak at me at I speak he speaks to me in his word And
that's where I'm looking, what He not only tells me what I'm
to believe, but He tells me why I'm to believe it, and He tells
me how I'm to trust Him, and why I should trust Him. And oh
beloved, not only do we hear His voice in His Word, in the
preaching of the Gospel. And I'll tell you something about
this beloved, we know His voice when we hear it. We know it when
we hear it. I heard a lot of voices in my
young days, I heard a lot of voices, but none of those voices
gave me any comfort, gave me any assurance, gave me any hope. All they was was vanity and vexation
and destroyed a man's peace. But when I heard his voice, I quit looking to hear anybody
else. I heard that voice. Huh? In the
preaching of the gospel. You all may remember, Herman
said right there, We're delay setting this morning. And I was
preaching on the hours coming and now is when the dead shall
hear the voice of the Son of God and they that hear shall
live. Herman had been attending the gospel over 20 some years.
Maybe even 30 at that time. I don't know. A long time. He
heard every preacher that ever come in here and went off to
conferences and heard other preachers. But he was 75 years old. It was in there. And I was about
right here, and Herman stood up and said, wait a minute, don't
you, wait a minute. I said, why? He said, I heard his voice today. Y'all remember that? He had heard
every preacher, but he had never heard the voice of Christ. When God, when you hear His voice,
you know that you hear it. Oh, you love it when you hear
it. That's my master speaking to me. It's like when the Lord
Jesus spoke to Mary. She thought He was the gardener
until He says, Mary, my sheep hear my voice. Zacharias, come
down. Oh, why did that Lord say that?
That's His sheep that He heard His voice. Lazarus, come out
of the tomb. Come, Lazarus, hear Him. He was
his sheep and he heard his voice. And I tell you, we know when
we hear his voice. It pleased God by the foolishness
of preaching to save them that hear the gospel. Notice what
he said over here in verse 8. He says, All that ever came before
me are thieves and robbers. But now listen to this. But the
sheep did not hear them. The sheep didn't hear them. They
didn't pay any attention to it. And I tell you something, beloved,
every one of His sheep hear His voice. They hear it individually. They hear what it says to them
for their hour, for their time, for their place. And He speaks
to me in His Word. And then look what our Lord said
in verse 16, talking about the sheep. My sheep hear my voice. He said, other sheep I have which
are not of this fold. Them also I must bring, and listen
to this, they shall hear my voice. Other sheep. He called the lost
sheep, the lost sheep of the Jews. You know, when the Syrophoenician
woman came to him, And she said, ask him for mercy for his daughter,
for her daughter. And the Lord Jesus Christ said,
I'm not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And it's not fit, it's not right
that I should take the children's bread and give it to dogs. She
said, Lord, you're exactly right. But even the dog get the crumbs
from the master's table. And the Lord said, great is your
faith. You know what? She's one of the sheep. She heard
that voice. She heard that voice. Oh, my. And I tell you, and then he said
he has sheep that were of this fold, the Jewish fold. And he said he must bring them.
And you know I'm telling you something, beloved. If you ever
come to Christ, it's because you hear His voice and He's the
one that brings you. He brings you. He finds the lost
sheep and He brings them. And one of these days He's going
to bring many sons to glory. But how did He bring these sheep?
By laying down His life for them. by bearing the sin in his own
body on the tree. And then by calling them affectionately. Every single soul that Christ
died for, every single soul that hears the voice of Christ, they
hear it when it's affectionate when they hear that voice. I
mean it actually accomplished what he intends for it to accomplish.
My sheep hear my voice. And what happens when they hear
his voice? They said, they follow me. They follow me. And I tell you, we're the other
sheep. We're the other sheep. And then look what he says in
verse 14. He said, I'm the good shepherd.
Listen to this now. And know my sheep. He said, I know them. I know
them. Well, how well does he know Him?
What's the extent of Him knowing His sheep? Well, it's complete
knowledge. Perfect knowledge. Infinite knowledge. For whom He foreknew, them He
also called. Whom He foreknew, He also justified. And this knowledge that Christ
has of His sheep is infinite. Is there ever a time that He
didn't know you? Was there ever a time that he
didn't know who you was? Was there ever a time he didn't
know where you was? Was there ever a time he didn't
know what you did? Was there ever a time that he
didn't know anything about you? He's always known his sheep.
And I tell you his knowledge of his sheep, he said, I call
my sheep by what? By name. By name. And you know what name He calls
them by every single one of them. When He calls them? Sinner. Sinner. That's the first thing He lets
you know about. You're a sinner. That's the first thing you know,
you start hearing that. And you're lost. Oh my soul,
I'm lost. I'm a sinner. That's the first
thing you hear from Him. You don't hear, you know, I'm
here knocking on your heart's door, please let me in. I died
for you, now please make your choice. Please exercise your
power, exercise your free will. He doesn't do that. He knows
their name. And their name is sinner. Their
name is lost. They're sheep, but they're sinners. And He laid down His life for
them. They're lost. He comes to find
them. And wherever they are, I don't
care where they are. I don't care what country they're
in, what tongue they speak, what color they are. The Lord Jesus
Christ, He says, I know my sheep. And you know what? He knows their
nature. He knows their nature. He knows the fallen nature that
we had. He knows everything. He knows
how lost we were, how sinful we were, how wicked we were,
how awful we were in every way. He knew their need. And He knows
them long, long, long before they know Him. And let me tell
you something, it's not your voice or your cry that saves
these sheep. You know whose voice it is that
saves them? His. His. I have other sheep that
are not of this fold, them also must I bring. It's not our crying
out to Him. It's not our calling on Him. But it's His voice. that we hear
first. And you got to hear that voice.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Isaiah 57-11, He says, By His
knowledge, by His knowledge, His knowledge of us is what He's
talking about. Shall He justify many? Justify
many. Look over in Matthew 7. Here's
where our Lord Jesus, this is what I'm talking about. Matthew
7, 22. You know, He knows His sheep. He knows His sheep. I don't know
all of them. I don't know who's a sheep and who's not. I hope and pray that everybody
in this building is a sheep. Because I know if they are, they'll
one day hear His voice. I do know that. They may be 20,
they may be 30, they may be 40, they may be 50, they may be 60,
they may be 80. I don't care how old they are,
they're going to hear His voice. Some people don't even listen
with their natural ear. They come in the building and
they just shut it off. They just shut it off. They don't
even hear it with the natural ear. You know, they just come in and
they're interested in everything but what's going on in the service.
But here's the thing. God can still make them hear.
He can get their attention just like that. Look what he said
here in Matthew 7.22. many many will say to me in that
day Lord Lord have we not prophesied in thy name notice how many times
they use his name here and in thy name have cast out devils
and in thy name done many wonderful works they use the Lord's name
but look what he says then will I profess unto them I never knew
you over here he says I know them There it says I don't. Over
there they're talking about all the things that they did. Over
here these sheep ain't saying nothing. He said before, he even
said, I know them and call them by name. And they know my voice. Over here, he says, I never knew
you. Now, does that mean that he never knew who they was? He
never knew what they did? No, no. He knew them. But he
didn't know them as his sheep. That's why those Jews said, if
you're the Christ, tell us plainly. I've told you. And you believe
not. Why don't you believe? Because
you're not of my sheep. That would be an awful thing
to come in and hear the gospel over and over and over again
and all of a sudden come to find out that you're not one of his
sheep and you won't never hear his voice. But wherever the voice
of the Lord is speaking, wherever the gospel is being preached,
that's where I want to be. Whether it's in Kentucky, whether
it's in Mexico, whether it's in China, I want to go someplace
where somebody is telling me about the Good Shepherd. Because
I will not hear the voice of Christ except in the preaching
of the gospel and the word. So avail yourself of that. Parents,
bring your children to hear the gospel. Oh my, he knows his sheep. Over there he didn't know them.
They used his name. They used his name. They healed
people in his name. They done works in his name.
They raised money in his name. They led many souls to Jesus,
so called in His name. But it's only when you hear the
voice of Christ. My sheep, and He knows His sheep. I'm certainly thankful He knew
me before I ever knew Him. Oh, how grateful I am. I can
bless the day. I told Sherry the other day,
I bless the day that God crossed my path with the gospel. I remember when I really realized
that I did not know the gospel. I did not know Christ. And when I seen the difference
between the two, everything before that when I knew Christ, I counted
my dog. I'm not one of them fellas, I've
done this in His name, I've done that in His name. I've never
done nothing! I've never said a word, I've
never preached a message, I've never prayed a prayer, I've never
had a thought that gave all the glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. Not one time in my life. I'd like to, but you know why I can't? Got
too much me in it. But one of these days, there
won't be me in it, there won't be you in it, then he'll get
all the glory. And he'd just get all the glory
of saving us, because we know we didn't contribute one iota
to it. The only thing we brought to the table was sin. And oh my, and then look, not only
does he know his sheep, But look what he said in verse 14 again,
I am the good shepherd and know my sheep, and listen to this,
and my sheep know me. Not only do they not know them,
but they know me. Oh, and I am known of mine. Oh, like I said, we don't recognize
the shepherd's voice when we hear it. Oh my, we know him. I am my beloved and he is mine. We know who he is. We know he's
a good shepherd. We know he laid down his life
for our sin. Oh, that's our blessed hope. that Christ bore our sins, that
He laid down His life for us, His sheep. We know who He is,
the Son of God, eternal, infinite, took upon Himself flesh and became
a man among us. Sin accepted. We know Him as
our glorious Redeemer. We know Him as our blessed Savior. Why preach Him as a Savior if
He can't save? Huh? And this, beloved, this is the
deepest, sacred of all relationships. I know them. They know me. That's why Saul said, I am my
beloved's. But here's one most wonderful
thing. But I am His. I am His. This is the most sacred
of all relationships. This knowledge of Christ and
us knowing Christ. Christ knowing us and us knowing
Him. It's called a marriage. It's called a marriage. It's called like a father and
a child and a mother and a child. A head and a body. Bone of my
bone. Flesh of my flesh. It can't get
closer than this. And I know my sheep and my sheep
know me. this wonderful relationship and
the sheep know him but I tell you let me say this we know the
sun shines too but how much do we know about
the sun? I don't have any idea how far
away it is I don't know how big it is I don't know how hot it
gets I know it gets awful hot sometimes But I know it's up there. And
I know we need it. And I know Christ. But I have
to admit to you, I know so little about Him. But I'm thankful for what I know.
I'm thankful I know Him enough that I trust Him. I believe Him. I throw my soul on Him. I hang
my eternal destiny, my soul, and everything that I am and
ever have been and ever hope to be, I put it all upon Christ. I want Christ. I want to know
Christ. And I know you do too. I want
to know Christ. I don't want to be fooled. I
want to know that I hear His voice. I want to know that I
know Him. I want to know that I'm trusting
Him with all my being. I don't want to go to my last
breath and come to find out, oh my soul, what have I done?
Listen, my sin can't keep Him from loving me. My depressions
can't keep Him from loving me. My evil mind can't keep Him from
loving me. My feet that go astray can't
keep Him from loving me. And all of those things that
I do cannot keep me from loving Him. The more I see how desperate
I am, the more I see how much I need Him. Paul said, I know whom I have
believed. and I've committed everything to Him and to that
day. Oh my! We know this much we know about
Him that He saves and this much we know about Him that He saves
by Himself. This much we know about Him that
He alone is the Savior. He alone is our righteousness
and we absolutely attribute nothing to our own salvation and not
only that beloved this is eternal life is to know the Lord Jesus
Christ and those whom the Father has given him but look what else
he said not only does he know his sheep and his sheep know
him but he owns his sheep look what he says down verse 12 But he that is hireling, and
not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not. The sheep don't
belong to the hireling. Who do they belong to? To the
shepherd. And when it says own the sheep,
that has two meanings. That he owns them, he possesses
them. They're his property. They belong to him. And not only
does it mean that they're his and they belong to him, but that
means he admits that they're his. He admits that these are
my sheep. Well, they're awful sorry a lot.
I know they are. They're dirty and I had to clean
them up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right. And oh, beloved, how do we become
his own? Well, he paid for us. He paid
for us. And you know what? He paid the
full price. His own life. His own blood. His own soul. Everything that
he by himself purged our sins. He by himself faced God. He by himself laid down his life. I highly please Trouble starts
going on in the church and people start fussing and fighting and
arguing and all that kind of business and church not getting
along, splits here, splits there and all that. Well, the Highly,
when he sees trouble coming, he said, listen, I think it's
time for me to get out of here. Away he goes. And the sheep run
over here to this place, the sheep run over that place, run
over somewhere else. They go wherever the shepherd's
at. They ain't going nowhere. You know why? Because the shepherd,
he ain't afraid of the wolf. He ain't going to let the wolf
in. The wolf ain't getting around. He said even if it's a wolf in
a sheep's closet, he ain't getting in. He's like David. I read this the other day. David
was fixing to slay Goliath. And you know they said, oh you're
a little fool, you're proud, you're self-righteous, you won't
go down and make a name for yourself. He said, oh no. He said, that's
not true. He said, you know, when I was
carried for the sheep, he was a boy, just a boy. He said, a
lion went and got a sheep, one of my sheep, and you know what
I did? I come and caught him by his beard, got him by his
beard, and I knifed him and I killed him. I took that sheep and put
him back in the fold. He said, later a big ol' bear
come up, gonna take one of my sheep. He said, oh no, you're
not taking none of mine. And David said he slew that bear.
That's why it says the Lord's my shepherd. If an earthly shepherd
does that, imagine what our heavenly shepherd does. Oh my, we're his
own by price, we're his own by power. We hear His voice. He says, blessed is the man whom
thou choosest, and listen to this, and calls us to approach
unto thee. His Spirit comes and brings us. And we're His own by choice,
chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, a sovereign choice.
And I'll tell you something else. Once He made us His choice, and
we understand that, you know what? We make Him our choice. He's the choice. He's the chiefest
among 10,000. He chose us and is the sovereign
choice and then we choose Him. And He says, My sheep follow
Me. He goes before them and calls them out by name. And they follow
Me. He said, Peter, lovest thou Me?
Yes, Lord, I do. Feed My sheep. And here's the
thing about it. He owns us as we are. Not like we'd like to be. Not
like we should be. Not like we want to be. But he
owns us as we are right now. Huh? He's not ashamed of us. He owns up to us. He owns up
to us. He said, boy, that Donnie Bell,
boy, he's a mess. He's just an absolute mess. Yep. That's my sheep. He's walking
by. Oh Lord, I'm so ashamed of myself. I'm not ashamed of you. I'm not
ashamed of you. You're mine. You're mine. You're mine. You're mine. And
I've got to hurry. I really got to hurry. I know
you're getting wore out with me, but let me give you a couple
things real quick. He cares for his sheep. Look
in verse 13. The hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and
careth not for the sheep. This good shepherd, this perfect
shepherd, is very, very careful for his sheep. Look what he says
down in verse 28. He is so careful for them, he
said, I give unto them eternal life, they shall never perish.
Never perish. They never gonna perish. Pope said the other day, ain't
no hell that when a person leaves this world, he just ceases to
exist. Who cares what the Pope did?
The Pope didn't write the Bible, God did. Ain't you glad you don't
have to listen to a man? Huh? And he said, they shall
never perish. Never perish. And oh, listen. And nobody's ever going to pluck
them out of my hand. And then he says, my father which
gave him me is greater than all. Nobody said pluck him out of
my father's hand. So if you're in the father's hand, you're
in the son's hand, who in the world is going to get us out?
Sin can't get us out. Hell can't get us out. Death
can't get us out. Persecution can't get us out.
Nothing that happens in this world can get us out of the hands
of Christ. And I tell you, there's no reason to fear any of our
souls. Our Good Shepherd protects us
with His life, with His power, with His blood, with His wisdom.
And oh my, He said, I'm with you all the way until the end
of the world. And then last of all, let me give you this, and
I've got to quit. He said in verse 15, 16, excuse
me. He said, other sheep which I
have are not of this fold, them also must bring, they shall hear
my voice and there shall be one fold and one shepherd. One of
these days there'll be one fold, one flock, one flock, one shepherd. His sheep now are in every country,
speak every kind of language, divided by boundaries, divided
by cultures, and every age, But every one of his sheep will hear
his voice. And every one of them that hear
his voice, they'll come to him and they'll know him. Then, beloved,
we'll lay down in the green pastures and sit down at the table of
a master and feast eternally. Until then, goodness and mercy
going to follow us all the days of our life. Then what's going
to happen? We'll dwell in the house of the Lord. How long? Forever. Oh, he's a good shepherd,
ain't he? Oh, he's a good shepherd. Oh,
he's a good shepherd. Oh, our blessed Master, our Lord
Jesus, we come to bless you, praise you, and thank you for
allowing us this privilege to meet with you, to honor your
name, to speak of you, though we fall so short. Oh, God, we
fall so short. And we pray your forgiveness
for even allowing us to speak of him and bless his name and
exalt him. And Lord, one of these days,
we'll be able to speak of Him as He ought to be spoken, love
Him as He ought to be loved, worship Him as He should be worshiped,
enjoy Him as we should enjoy Him. But until that day, Lord,
enable us to keep looking, keep believing, keep trusting, keep
embracing, keep bowing, keep looking to our Lord Jesus Christ. our good shepherd who laid down
his life for his sheep. We bless you in his name. Amen. Amen. Did you hear what Jesus said
to me? They're all taken away. Your sins are pardoned, you are
free, they're all taken away. See you tonight six o'clock God
willing
