left off this morning. And our
Lord manifested His great love for His people in the cross. Oh, what love He had for His
people. But here in Romans 5, verses 3 and 5, we see a believer
can boast her glory in His tribulations. It says here in verse 3, Romans
5, Not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing
that tribulation worketh patience, and patience experience, and
experience hope, and hope maketh not ashamed, because the love
of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which
is given unto us. You know, when he talks about
we glory in tribulations, and tribulations are trials. It's
only through much tribulation that we enter into the kingdom
of God. Some people believe that there's
going to be a great tribulation and only a few is going to get
saved through that, which I don't believe that. I believe that
it's through much tribulation that we enter the kingdom of
God. And a believer can boast in his tribulations, And this
word patience, you know, and knowing that tribulation work
is patience, that's perseverance. And I'll tell you why we glory
in the trials that God sends us and the things that He sends
us. We glory in them because we know where they come from.
God Himself sent them. All things, all things work together
for good to them who love God of the called according to His
purpose. And we know why they come. God sent them. There's
nothing comes our way. God's the first cause of everything.
And I was, Scott Richardson used to say, very few people get to
have the privilege of being able to honor God in great suffering,
in great tribulation. Very few get to do that. And
if you ever get called on to do that, and you're blessed of
God to have a great, great trial, a great, deep, dark tribulation
that you go through, I ask God to give you the grace to honor
Him through it. Because we glory in it because
everything comes of God. Why, we surely wouldn't complain
of God trying us. We surely wouldn't complain of
God putting us in the fire. We surely wouldn't complain of
God dealing with us after His own will and His own way. And
here's the reason that He sends them to us. Because we also know
that tribulation, these trials, they work patience. And this
word patience is the same thing in Psalm 46.10 where He says,
Be still, and know that I am God. That's what this patience
is. You go on living. You go on living, but you just
wait, and you wait, and you wait, and you wait, and you go on living,
and you wait on God. Just be still. We're not going
to complain to Him. We're not going to complain of
Him. We're not going to get aggravated in Him. We're going to just take
what God gives us. And it works patience. And then
look what else it says here. And patience works experience.
You know God... Nobody will know how to trust
God until God absolutely teaches them how to trust Him. And that's
what other trial He sends us. Ever how small it is or ever
how great it is, He sends that to us to give us the experience
of knowing that He will never ever fail us. He's, you know,
God is faithful. Great is thy faithfulness. God
does never ever fail His people. And we get these experiences,
and as we go through these trials, and this works as patience, where
we wait on God, we're going about our business, and then we have
this experience, and we're going through this experience, going
through these trials that God sends our way, and that works
that experience in us, and we understand that the next time
God got us through that, if it's a little deeper the next time,
He'll get us through that. We learn from experience that
God's gonna keep us and be faithful to us. You can't learn it. I'm
telling you something. You can't learn this business
in a book. If you're going to know about tribulation, God's
got to be the one to teach it. If you're going to glory in it,
have any patience or experience from it. And then look what else
he said. An experience gives us hope. Oh, it gives us hope. That God's
for us and not against us. God don't try nobody but His
children. You remember the patience of
Job? You remember Abraham? When God tried him, he staggered
not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith,
giving glory to God. And so in this, this works hope. Oh, what a blessed hope, glorious
hope we have, because God will always, always get us through
it. And then look what else it says
there. Oh, we can glory in our tribulations. And this word,
boast, means to rejoice in, to glory in, to have joy in. And I know what it seems like
when you're going through it. And I tell you, we can get up
and act like everything's just exactly the way it's supposed
to be. And I really believe that. And
then look what he says here. And this hope, this patience,
experience and hope, And listen to what it says, "...and hope
maketh not ashamed." Now what that word there, what that means
is that these trials and these experiences and these patience
and this hope that we have, it will bring us to shame. God will
not let us be brought to shame. He won't do that. You know, He
will not let us, these experiences and these trials bring us to
shame. And why won't He do it? Because, look what He said here,
because the love of God is shed abroad, and that word shed abroad
there means it's poured out like a flood into our hearts by the
Holy Ghost. God manifests His love, gives
great love, gives great strength, gives great comfort to His people
through these, and that's why we can boast in tribulations.
I can, every one of you all here can say, God got me through that,
God got me through that, God got me through that, and you've
been believers for years and years. How many times has God
got you through something? Has He ever failed? He never
has. And you know, I'll tell you something, if you get up
tomorrow... And you can't see God's presence for 10 days. Go 10 days and God don't give
you His presence. You know what you'll do? You'll
keep on keeping on. You'll keep on believing. You'll
keep on cleaving. You'll keep on looking. You'll
keep on trusting. And you have this patience and
this experience and this hope that tomorrow the sun's going
to shine. Tomorrow I'm going to have the
Lord's presence. Tomorrow God's going to lift
this darkness. Tomorrow God's going to take
this burden away and whatever it is, The Lord's going to see
me through it. And I know that's one. And I'll
tell you something else about tribulation. When Paul said,
I'm persuaded that nothing shall separate us from the love of
God which is in Christ Jesus. You know what the first thing
he said was? Neither shall tribulation. If tribulation can separate you
from Christ, it will. He did the stony ground here
when he was suffering a little bit persecution because of the
Word. By and by he quit. By and by
he quit. So we can glory in our tribulations.
We really truly can. Now I'm not talking about glorying
in our aggravations. You know, there's a lot of difference
between a trial that God sends you and just being aggravated.
And things, you know, having a bad day. filling your water
and dropping food on your wife. That's just aggravation. That's
just aggravation. But oh listen, when we're talking
about trials, real genuine trials, where God says, it's time for
you to manifest your faith in me, your
trust in me, your hope in me. And for everybody to see it and
everybody to know that you're looking to me and me alone. It's
time for me to do this to you. And it's like Job. You know,
when Job got through all those three comforters, they kept calling
Job a self-righteous sinner. They kept accusing him as, you
old Job, if you was a righteous man, God wouldn't be doing this
to you. But when it was all said and done, you know what God told
those three fellas? He said, Job is going to have
to pray for you fellas or I'll never bless you again. And Job
had to pray for those three men. And that's why after going through
all that he went through, Job ended up praying for the men
who was miserable comforters for him. Alright, let me give
you another one. Look over here at 2 Corinthians
11. 2 Corinthians 11. It's one thing to have some aggravation,
have a little trouble in our lives. You know, having a flat
tire or something like that, that's not a trial. That's not
a trial. You know, our air conditioning
going out, that's not a trial. That's an inconvenience. That's all it is. It's just an
inconvenience. Now look what the Apostle said
here in 2 Corinthians 11.30. 2 Corinthians 11.30. If I must needs glory or needs
boast, if it's necessary that I do this, you know what I'm
going to glory in? The things which can certain
my infirmities. We can boast in our infirmities. You know the difference between
believers and what God does for them in the world is two different
things. The world and religion glories in their strengths. They
glory in the strength and abilities that they have. They glory in
their great success. They glory in all the things
that they accomplish. And oh listen, we have two services
on Sunday morning and they go on and on. They glory in their
strength. We got ministries for this one, that one. We got half
a dozen ministers. So they glory in their strength.
They glory in their pedigree. That I've got this degree and
that degree and another degree and somebody else's degree. And
they got their pedigree. And they glory in their learning.
Oh how they glory in their learning. They glory in their Hebrew. They
glory in their Greek. And they glory in their pedigree
and all those things. They glory in their eloquences.
Glory in their great attainments. You know, there's preachers that
the people just brag on all the time. That preacher, boy, I'll
tell you what, he is so popular. I'll tell you, that guy, you
know, they download 5,000 to 10,000 of his messages a month.
And they go on and on about how good he is. And they'll brag
about him. And that's what they brag about,
what they glory in, and all their accomplishments and power and
all those things. But you know what Paul gloried
in? His infirmities, His weaknesses. You see, here's the way a believer
is. The believer glories in the fact
that he has no strengths. Our Lord Jesus Christ says this,
without Me you can do what? Nothing. That's pretty plain, ain't it?
But these fellows can do anything. I know one fellow that one time
said, I've never preached a bad message, he said. I can't say that. I can't say
that. I've been up to bat a few times
and the ball went straight on by. I didn't even see it go by. But oh, listen, the believer
glories in the fact that he has no strengths. Without me, you can do nothing.
When we were yet without strength in due time, Christ died. When
we were yet without strength. And you know, I'll tell you something,
this is the way it is. We don't get no stronger from
the time we start being a believer as we go on and on in our years.
In fact, we understand just how weak and frail we really are
the older we live and the older we believe. Oh, men wouldn't, I'll tell you
something about men, they wouldn't do. They wouldn't pride themselves
in suffering. They wouldn't pride themselves
in hunger and persecutions. They wouldn't pride themselves
in the infirmities they got. Oh, listen, I don't have any
infirmities, but look what the apostle said here in 2 Corinthians
12, 5. But that's what he did. You know, here's an apostle.
He said, I've got infirmities and that's what I'm going to
glory in. I ain't got nothing that I can glory in. He said, what I've done, what
I've done, God did it in me, Christ did it for me, God Christ
did it through me. And look, you all know the story
about Paul. He's talking about being caught
up to the third heaven when Christ taught him the gospel and how
the Lord Jesus saved him on the Damascus road. He said here in
verse 5, He says, such a one will I glory,
that one caught up into the third heaven, yet of myself I will
not glory, but in mine infirmities. I've got nothing to glory in,
he says. I have no powers, no abilities, no great... Though
I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool, for I will say
the truth, but now I forbear I'm going to put it off, lest
any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be
or that he heareth of me. I don't want nobody to think
more about me or what he sees me or hears me to be. And lest,
and here's what God does, talking about them trials, and lest I
should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, You know what God did? He said, I'm going to keep
you humble. I'm going to keep you down. I'm going to keep you
to where you ain't got nobody to turn to, nobody to look to,
nobody to trust in but me. And look what he said, there
was given to me a thorn in the flesh. And look who he got sent
to do it with, the messenger of Satan. And look what he said,
and he buffeted me. lest I should be exalted above
measure." Paul said, I've got a problem with exalting myself. I've got a problem with making
myself to be something that I'm nothing. I've got a problem with
my pride. I've got a problem with exalting
myself. I've got a problem that other
people may exalt me. It's like that fellow got out
of the pulpit one time and a woman told him, met him at the pulpit,
and I've told you this before, she said, that's the best message
I believe I've ever heard in my life. He said, ah, listen, you're
the second person who told me that. Who said the devil did
before it got done? And that's the way it is. And oh, look what he said here
now. But he says, oh, and I said, I asked the Lord three times,
three times asked the Lord, take this away from me. And He said
unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee. Now listen to this,
Christ says My strength, My strength is made perfect in weakness.
So Paul said if Christ's strength is made perfect in my infirmities
and my weakness, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to
glory in my infirmities. I'm going to admit that I don't
have no abilities or nothing with what Christ gives me. And
he goes on to say, and our glory and my firmness is that the power
of Christ may rest upon me. And I tell you, if somebody's
got a lot of strength and a lot of abilities and things, the
power of Christ don't rest on them. They don't rest on them. And let me show you something
else about this, about this very thing. Turn with me now to Acts
chapter 5. This is what we're talking about. This is something
that men can't do apart from the grace of God. In Acts chapter
5 and verse 41. You know to one another, it looks
like you know that we got some strength and abilities and that,
but we understand that if we stand, God calls it, we stand
in grace. And look what He said here in
Acts 5.41. Now these fellows had just got
beat and got whipped by the Sanhedrin. And in verse 41, And they departed
from the presence of the council rejoicing. that they were counted
worthy to suffer shame for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Oh my! They left out there after
being abused and mistreated. They went out there just as happy
and not just as rejoicing. Why? Because they were suffering
for Christ. Not for being smart alecks. Not
for being know-it-alls. because they lose trust in the
Lord Jesus Christ and preaching His gospel. And here's another
thing we can glory in. Look over here back in 2 Corinthians
11 verse 10. Oh, I tell you, these are things
I know. I know these things. These things
are something that If the Lord is pleased to let us suffer in
this world, God help us to never ever dishonor Him by complaining
about His... We say that He's sovereign, but He's also sovereign over
our lives and everything in it. And God, we never ever want to
preach about Your sovereignty and Your grace and Your power
and your love for us, and your great suffering, and then be
unwilling to suffer for you? Be unwilling to bear a burden
that you bring us to bear, and that we're unwilling and find
some fault with you because you try us? Oh, we ought to bless
God for every trial we've ever been through, because one of
these days, one of these days they'll all be over, and one
of these days they'll be done. One of these days the clouds
will be taken away. One of these days the tears will
stop to flow. And the last thing in that verse
as you read tonight says sorrow and sighing shall flee away. You all ever do that? You know you just go with the
heaviness and you sigh? He said that's why he's talking
about that will all flee away. What a blessing! What a blessing
that God would count you or me worthy to even carry some little
burden or carry some little bit of suffering. Everything we've ever had in
our lives, He's the one that gave it to us. Whether it's a child, whether
it's a husband, whether it's a wife, whether it's a neighbor,
whether it's a mother, whether it's a father, they are gifts
of God. They belong to Him. Bless His name. Oh, bless His
name. Oh, bless His holy name. I'll tell you what, God, you
do what you would do with us, because I know what you are doing
it for my good, and for everybody's good, and to you be the glory.
And that's why we're talking about boasting in God. And then
look what else He can do. A believer can boast in the work
that God has enabled him to do. Look what Paul said here in 2
Corinthians 11.10. As the truth of Christ is in
me, 2 Corinthians 11.10, as the truth of Christ is in me, no
man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia. What
does he mean? He says, the truth of Christ
in me. As that truth is in me. He said,
I'm going to boast about that truth. I'm going to glory in
that truth. The truth that Christ is in me.
The truth that Christ taught me. The truth that I know about
Christ. He said, no man's going to stop
me from boasting in that and glorying in that. And he's talking
about the glory and the truth that God has taught him. Taught
him. And what he's saying is, I cannot
and I will not compromise this gospel. I will not compromise
this truth. I'm going to boast about the
truth of Christ. I'm not going to boast about how much truth
I know. I'm going to boast about the
truth that's in Christ. The truth that Christ taught
me. and the truth concerning the Lord Jesus Christ. He said,
I'm going to preach Christ. I'm going to tell you the truth
about Christ. Christ is in me and I'm going to tell you that
truth that I know. I'm not going to tell you...
Henry used to say, a man cannot preach something he does not
know, no more than he comes back from some place he never has
been. And that's the truth. You can only preach what you
know. Ain't that right, Gary? And that's what Paul's saying.
Everybody wants me to say something else over here. The Galatians
want me to address Moses. The Corinthians want me to address
drunkenness over here and adultery over here. They want me to address
all these things. But Christ is... I've got to
deal with the truth of Christ. And Christ is the only one that
can deal with these issues. And the Gospel is the only one
that can deal with these issues. And he says, the truth concerning
Christ in me and about Christ. Oh, he says, the truth of Christ
person? That's what upset everybody. It's not just the fact that Jesus
is the Savior. Everybody knows that. It's not that Jesus loves people.
That's not the issue either. The issue is who did Christ come
into this world to save? Who did Christ come in here to
honor? Who did Christ come in here to shed His blood for? Who
did Christ come into this world to redeem? And when you get down to the
truth in Christ, Not a half-truth, not a part-truth. A half-truth is a whole lot.
I've seen a whole bunch of series of sermons the other day. 100%
Christians. And I'm going to listen to one
of them to see what he said, Steve. A whole series of messages
on 100% Christians. Is there anything else than 100%
Christians? Is anybody a 99% Christian? If you're 99% Christian, you're
100% lost. That's the way it is. And that's what Paul said. He
said, we're not going to mix anything with the truth of Christ.
Well, listen, I know that it's Christ and I know it's of grace,
but what about there ain't no buts and there ain't no what
about? And that's what people do all the time, arguing the
Scripture. What about this Scripture? What about that Scripture? Whenever
you run somebody into a battle, what about? Just forgive them,
just leave. What about? What about? Listen,
there ain't no what about with Christ. Oh, there ain't no what about
with Him. Oh, no. That's why Paul says, you know,
I'm going to deal with His person. I'm going to tell you who He
is. I'm going to tell you that He is the Lord of Glory. He's the King of Kings. He's
the One who was crucified and buried and rose again and ascended
to glory. And right now, if you deal with
God, you've got to deal with Him. And I'm going to tell you
about His work. He came into this world, the
first thing and foremost He did was to honor and glorify His
Father. His whole life was given to honoring
His Father. And He honored His Father, and
He glorified His Father, and He said, Father, I've finished
the work. What work? I have saved all those
that You've given Me from their sins. Now glorify thou me with
the glory that I had with you before the world was, because I have manifested the
truth to those that you've given me. And oh, listen, let me keep
this and look with me over to your right, 1 Thessalonians chapter
2. You know, this is what Paul's talking about. I'm going to glory
in the truth that's in Christ. And ain't nobody gonna stop me
from glorying in that and boasting in the truth that's in Christ.
That's why I said, I'm determined to know nothing among you save
Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Look what He said here in 1 Corinthians
2 and verse 4. But, as we were allowed of God,
do you see that? Allowed of God. To be put in
trust with the Gospel. Even so we speak. Now listen
to this. This gospel is what we're going
to speak. Not as pleasing men, but God which tries our hearts. Now watch this. For neither at
any time use we flattering words. I've got the truth in Christ
and I'm going to glory in that and nobody's going to stop me.
We didn't, as you know, use our liberty as a cloak of covetousness.
We never come in there and had a covetousness for anything anybody
wanted. God is our witness. And look
what else He said now. We didn't use flattering words,
didn't have a cloak of covetousness, nor of men did we seek glory.
We never wanted anybody to glory in us. We didn't want anybody
to brag about us. and tell about us, neither of
you nor yet of others. When we might have been burdensome
as the apostles of Christ, we might have come in there and
demanded you take care of us. But listen to what he says, but
we were gentle among you even as a nurse cherishes her children.
And then look what he says down in verse 19, talking about the
gospel, talking about the truth. Here in 2 Thessalonians 2.19,
what is our hope, or our joy, or our crown of rejoicing, are
not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. I tell
you, you're the fruit of this gospel that I've preached. And
that's what he's talking about. If any man, he said, we're going
to glory in this truth that's in Christ. If any man has any
truth about Christ, he can't possibly glory in his wisdom
or in his intellect, because everything and every truth we
learn about Christ comes from a revelation. It's revealed to
us. We gain glory in our wisdom or
intellect. You know, when our Lord Jesus
Christ was coming from Caesarea down through Capernaum, He asked
His disciples, He said, who do men say that I am? They said, well, some say you're
Elijah. Some say you're Jeremiah. Some
say that you're some other prophet. And he turned to him and said,
But who do you say that I am? And Simon Peter answered, Thou
art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And he said, Blessed
art thou, Simon Bar-Jonah, flesh and blood, not my flesh and blood
or your flesh and blood. Flesh and blood didn't reveal
this unto you, but my Father which is in heaven. He revealed
this unto you. And if you have any truth, a
man can't receive anything lest it be given him from heaven.
And that's why Paul says, you know, he says, you know, when
it pleased God, He separated me from my mother's womb to reveal
Christ in me. And this is the way it is, beloved,
about this truth in Christ. What we are, He made us. By the
grace of God, we are what we are. What I know, He taught me. Who maketh thee to differ? What
I have, He gave me. And we're just going to keep
on believing the truth and rejoicing in the truth. And that's why
I said we're not going to stop that. It ain't going to stop
that. Ain't nobody going to stop that. When people don't want
the gospel, we're going to go somewhere else. I said, you know,
when we built this building, some of y'all may remember this,
Ed would come up here and work all the time, sit on a bucket,
go around putting the things in, be up here all the time.
And he prayed, and he prayed, oh Ed did, he said, Lord, as
long as this building stands, let nothing but the sovereign,
free grace of God be preached in this building as long as it
stands. And whenever the Gospel leaves this place, that's when
God leaves. And that's why Paul said, everybody around me wants
me to compromise the gospel. Everybody in all these ways of
chaos want me to compromise the truth. But as the truth is in
Christ, I'm going to keep on keeping on. Nobody's going to
stop me from that. And then look in Romans 5 too,
and I'll wind this up. I'll wind this up. I've enjoyed
this. I don't know if you have or not.
I certainly hope that I've enjoyed it. Because everything I've said
brings us back to Christ, trusting Christ, looking to Christ, and
to God in Christ. And a believer can boast in glory
and his hope of future glory. Let's read verses 1 and 2 here
of Romans 5. Therefore being justified by
faith, We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also we have access by
faith into this grace wherein we stand, and this is what I
want us to look at here now, and rejoice in hope of the glory
of God. That word rejoice again, that
means to boast or to glory in. A believer can boast or glory
in what he has in the future. You know what a future we have.
Oh, what a hope we have. What a future we have as believers. Sandy asked me this morning,
she said, I was thinking yesterday, I said, if the Lord comes back,
she said, you know, what will happen? And I said, well, according
to the Scriptures, when the Lord comes back, will be changed. He'll come and the dead in Christ
will rise first and then we which are alive shall be changed in
a moment in the twinkling of an eye. and rise up to meet Him in the
clouds, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. And that's
why Paul said, we rejoice in our hope of our future. Oh, what
a future we have. What a future as believers we
have. Look over in 1 Peter 3, I mean 1 Peter chapter 1. This is what we got to look forward
to. In 1 Peter chapter 1. Oh, what a blessed hope we have. Huh? That's why Paul said, I
reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy
to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us.
And look what he said here in 1 Peter 1.3. Oh, what a future
we have. Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy
hath begotten us again unto a living hope, that blessed hope we're
talking about here, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. And you know what He's done?
He has gave us, this is our future hope of glory that we're talking
about, rejoicing in this hope, to an inheritance incorruptible. and incorruptible inheritance.
Now I tell you, everything we leave anybody in this world is
corruptible. Ain't that right? You leave somebody
the finest house, leave them a 40 room house, 9 bathrooms
in it, and you leave it to them and leave them a clear title
to it and have their taxes paid up for a few years, and I guarantee
you in just 3 or 4 or 5 years they're going to have to work
on it because it's going to start falling apart. That's the way
it is. But he's talking about inheritance
here. That it will never rot, never corrupt, never wear out. And this inheritance comes from
Christ. It comes from God. It's an incorruptible
inheritance. It's undefiled. Man ain't got
nothing to do with it. And it will never ever fade away. And guess where it's reserved
for us at? Way up yonder in glory. Way up
in glory. And oh beloved, what a hope we
have. A blessed hope. And you know what's going to
make it such a blessed, glorious hope? We shall see our God and
Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face with Christ my Savior. Face to face. I shall see. Face to face. Oh, what a day
that's going to be. What a day that's going to be.
And whoa, this hope of being changed and transfigured like
our blessed Savior. Paul said, He shall change this
vile body. That's what it is. It's a vile
body. It's vile. Oh, it's vile. It gets old. It
gets corrupt. It stinks and getting weaker
and weaker. He said, He'll change this vile
body. And He's going to take it and fashion it like unto His
glorious body. How? By the power whereby He's
able us to do everything. And He's able us to do this old
body and give us that new one. And oh, listen. Ah, and a hope
of God's glory being revealed in us. And I want you to look
at this last verse here. I've quoted it to you, but I
want you to look at it in Romans 8 and verse 18. I want you to look at this. Oh,
we glory in our hope of future, our future glory. Oh, our future glory. This world
is wonderful. I mean, it is. I told Sherry the other day,
we sat there and looked at all that beauty and glory around
us, and all the hills and the green, the flowers and everything,
and the birds. I said, if we enjoy this so much,
with the curse on it, imagine what it's going to be like when
the curse is gone. But look what he said here at
verse 18, talking about the glory that's going to be revealed in
us. This blessed, glorious hope of the future. For I reckon,
that the sufferings of this present time, whatever we're going through
right now, are not even worthy to be compared, bless His name,
with the glory, glory, which shall be revealed in us. The glory of His grace is going
to be seen ages and ages in worlds without end. That's what's going
to happen. That's the glory we're going
to have. The glory of being like Christ forever and ever and ever
and ever. Our Father, in the blessed, blessed
glorious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for allowing
us to have this day Oh, I bless You for the day. You're so loving and so patient,
so kind and gracious to us. Thank You, Lord, that we can
glory. Glory in You. Glory in who You
are and what You've done. And glory in our future. Glory
in our future. We're not going to always be
like this. You're going to change this someday. You're going to
change this old body. You're going to change this old
mind. You're going to change this old nature. You're going to change
it. And you're going to make it like
yourself. Oh, Lord bless you. Oh, what a blessed hope we have.
Thank you, Lord Jesus. Oh, Lord, I look so forward to
it and I know you saints do. God bless you, dear people. Preserve
them and keep them. See those that are traveling,
see them safely home. Those whose body is hurting,
Lord, restore them. Those who have a fight of afflictions
with their children and their grandchildren and their husbands
or wives, God, we know that Your grace is sufficient, and You'll
uphold them for Christ's sake. Amen. Amen. Take your hymn books,
and I think it's 267 I want to look at. I believe that's what
it is. I think that's what it is. 267. Yes. Yes. We sang this to majestic
sweetness. All things work out for good
we know, such is God's great design. He orders all our steps
below, for purpose is divine. For purpose is divine. This is the faith that keeps
me still, no matter what the test, and gives me glory in His
will. ? For well I notice best ? For
well I notice best ? So now the future holds no fear ? God guards
the work begun ? And mortals are immortal Until their work
is done. Until their work is done. Someday the path he chose for
me will all be understood. In heaven's clear light I'll
see all things worked out for good. All things worked out for
good. Well, good night and God bless
