Come back to the Gospel of John chapter 6, title of the message, Seven High Wheels of Our Lord. Seven High Wheels of Our Lord
are given to you in this order. his will and salvation, in cleansing,
in intercession, in service, in seeing his glory, in his second
coming, and in our safety till he comes. It won't take me long. It won't take long. When someone says to you, I will." They are giving you a promise
that they will do what you have asked of them. You ask them something, and they say, I will. But we know that when men say,
I will, maybe they will, maybe they won't. That's the way it
goes with us. It is not in our power to do
all that we say we will do. We don't have that kind of power.
And some are just liars, not intending to do what they say
anyway. Satan said this over in Isaiah 14. He said in
his heart, I will ascend to heaven. No, he didn't. And he was a mighty angel. He
was a mighty angel. I will exalt my throne above
the stars of God. No, he didn't. I will sit also upon the mount
of the congregation in the sides of the north. No, he didn't. I will ascend above the heights
of the clouds. I will be like the Most High
God." No, you're not. Only God can say, I will, and
it will be done, and no one else. Turn over to James chapter 4. Look in verse 13. Go to now, ye that say today
or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a
year, and buy and sell and get gain. For as ye know not what
shall be on the morrow," you don't know what tomorrow brings.
It may not come for you. It may not do it. For what is your life? It's even a vapor. You young
people, and that's anybody under 40. You young people, enjoy your
youth. It's a vapor. Don't destroy your
youth. You can literally enjoy youth
now without messing it up. Enjoy it. But remember this,
it's a vapor. It's a vapor. What is your life? It is a vapor that appears for
a little time and then vanishes away. I was watching program
on television the other night. It was back in the 1800s. And
I thought, as I watched this, I thought, those people were alive at one
time. They were going to work and busy and raising families,
and that is gone. That generation is gone off into
eternity. It appears for a little time
and it vanishes away. For that you ought to say, here's
how we are to handle this. If the Lord will, we shall live
and do this or that. Lord willing, we'll meet Wednesday. Lord willing, we will do whatever
we plan on doing after the service. Lord willing. And His will is the best will.
It's a holy will. It's a good will. And it's the
only will you really want done. You don't want your will. You
don't want it. You'll end up in a bad place. Now, first, His will in salvation. Salvation begins with God's will. And His will is not subject to
mine. in this matter of salvation. It is not of him that willeth. That does away with free will,
doesn't it? It's not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth,
but of God that showeth mercy. Now here in John 6 and 39 and
40, and this is the Father's will which has sent me. Here's
his will. You want to know the Father's
will? that of all which he hath given
me." He's not dying for some people
he doesn't know. He's dying for a people that
he knows. He shall justify many over in Isaiah. By his knowledge
shall he justify many. He knows why he died, for whom
he died, and he knows. He said, I should lose nothing.
I won't lose any of them, but should raise it up again at the
last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that everyone
would seeeth the Son and believes on Him and have everlasting life. And I will raise Him up at the
last day. This is the Father's will. But now I want you to look
in verse 37. This is the verse that the Lord
used to give me comfort. All that the Father giveth me
shall come to me. Now listen, here it is. In him that cometh to me, I will,
I will in no wise cast out. I will in no wise cast out. Here
is a promise from on high to all who come. I will in no wise
for any reason, no matter how black the past, cast out. Satan, the high-ranking angel,
was cast out. Adam was cast out of the garden. He sinned and he was cast out.
Satan sinned and he was cast out. But our Lord says here,
all who come to me will not be cast out, will not be cast out. He that cometh to me, Lord, I
come, I come to thee. And you said, you said, all who
come to me, I will at your will, not to cast them out, but to
receive. You'll never read in the word of God where a sinner,
a needy sinner ever came to the Lord for mercy. and was cast
out. The adulterous woman was cast
out by the Pharisees, but received by the Lord. The law said, stone
her. The Lord said, I forgive her.
The lawgiver said, I forgive her. It was not His will to stone
her. It was His will to save her. Those Pharisees don't even realize
they were just a means of bringing His child to His feet. You know, all things serve God. All are His. He'll use whatever.
He'll use whatever. Satan, in the book of Job, came
before the Lord. He said, you considered, and
that word considered means, have you set your heart on my servant
Job? And he said, well, you put a hedge about him, you bless
the work of his hands, and that's why he's serving you. The Lord
said, all right, I'll remove these things. You touch it. At
the end of all of that experience, at the end of all that loss,
all that pain, Job said, by the hearing of the ear I've heard
of thee, but now mine eyes see of thee. Satan was just a tool
in God's hand to bring Job to a closer relationship, a better
understanding of who God is. That's what he did. No sinner is so far gone that
the Lord can't save, can't cleanse. You know, I've gotten dirty out
of the shop, my hands, and I have to scrub them. And I'm trying
to get the grease and grime off. And it's hard. There's still
some of it. You can shake hands with me still,
but there's still some of it in the cracks of my skin. But there is no sin that the
Lord can't put away. None. None. And then we have
His will and cleansing. That's the next one. Look over
at Luke chapter five. In Luke chapter five, Verse 12, And it came to pass, when he
was in a certain city, behold, a man full of leprosy, just like
we are full of sin, head to toe, ate up with it, ate up with leprosy,
who seeing Jesus fell on his face And beside him saying, Lord,
if thou wilt, and this is, oh, if we could just get this to
ring loud and clear. Lord, if you will, we submit
to your will in this matter. If thou wilt, thou canst make
me clean, whole. And he put forth his hand and
touched him saying, here's a second I will of our Lord. I will. Be thou clean. Here is a putrefying
leper, one that was cast out, was not allowed in public. He
had to stay in the leper colony. You know, I've never seen leprosy
at its worst. But back, especially back then,
it was go unchecked and no medication. the stench of it, the sight of
it. It was dehumanizing. And he comes to our Lord, and
he falls on his face. And the Lord put forth his hand.
Someone has touched me. Do you know if you touched that
man, you were unclean? The Lord took his uncleanness
to the cross, just like He took ours. If you touched him, anything
he touched was unclean. And the Lord touched him. Everyone
else parted like the Red Sea when he came down the street.
He would have to cry, unclean, unclean. And they would part. They wouldn't want to walk in
the same tracks that he left. But the Lord touched him and
said, I will. It is my will for you to be clean."
How's he going to present us before God, holy, unblameable,
unreprovable, in his sight? You see, he took our uncleanness
to the cross and dealt with it. And before God Almighty, we stand
in his sight clean. And it's God's will that we be
clean. It's God's will that we be made
holy. And the way that happens is in the Lord Jesus Christ. And immediately the leprosy departed
from him. Christ can wash any sinner whiter
than snow. David said in Psalm 51.7, Purge
me with hyssop and I shall be clean. Wash me, wash me, and
I shall be whiter than snow." Lord, if you do it, if you do
the washing, I will be whiter than snow. If you do the cleansing,
I will be clean. Apart from that, no, no. Isaiah 1, 18. Come now, let us
reason together, saith the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet
They shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson,
they shall be as wool." That leper said, Lord, if you will,
you can cleanse me. The only way we can be cleansed
from sin is through the blood and the righteousness of the
Lord Jesus Christ. And every sinner that comes to
him, he says, I will be thou cleansed. Thirdly, we have His will in
interceding for us. We have an advocate with the
Father. We have one to plead our case in heaven, in the court
of heaven. If you ever get in trouble, you
want the best advocate that you can get, and we have the best. We have the best. We have God
Himself in human flesh. Turn over to Matthew chapter
ten. Matthew ten, verse thirty-two. Whosoever therefore shall confess
me before men, him will I confess, him will I intercede before my
Father which is in heaven. I desire, you don't know how
I greatly desire your prayers. Roy Dennison told me, he said,
I pray for you every day. Jackie said she's going to pray
for me every day. But there is one that without
his prayers, your prayers won't happen. without His intercession,
they won't even be heard. They won't even be heard. I desire your prayers greatly,
but I tell you, there's one whose prayers, whose intercession I
desire above all, and that's our Lord. My little children, 1 John 2.1,
these things write I to you, that you sin not. It's never
approved even if Rahab, the hardest lying, is still alive. He put
that away, too. My little children, these things
write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, or when
any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ,
the Righteous, the Righteous One. I pray for them. John 17, I pray
for them. I pray not for the world, but
for them which thou hast given me, for they are thine. I pray
for them. I intercede for them. Can you imagine that? God praying
for me. He said in one place, and I love
this, I know you always hear me. You always hear me. Romans 8.34. Turn over there. Romans 8.34. Who is he that condemneth? Who is he that
can condemn you? It is Christ that died, yea rather,
that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God. who
also maketh intercession for us. He that confesseth me before
men, I will confess him. I will intercede for him before
my Father. I will do that." That's a promise. The I-wills of God are promises
that cannot be broken. And we have His will concerning
our service. Look over in Matthew chapter
4, verse 18, and Jesus walking by the Sea of Galilee
He saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, Andrew his brother, casting
a net into the sea, for they were fishers. And he said unto
them, now listen, follow me, follow me. You can't hang on
to what you want to do, where you want to live, your ambitions, whatever they
are. He said, follow me. And that road is never, never
easy, especially those whom he calls into the ministry. You follow me and I will. I will make you fishers of men. We cannot serve God and mammon. We cannot serve God in this world.
We cannot serve God and our ambitions and be expected to be used of
God. If you would be used of God,
if I would be used of God, and everyone, everyone here believes
the gospel, you want to be used of God. You want to be faithful. And you want to be used in his
kingdom while you're on this earth. We are only on this earth
a little while. And while we are here, we want
to serve our master. Well, in order to be used of
God, he says, follow me. Follow me. They had to leave. They left their boat. They left
everything. They dropped what they were doing
and they followed Him. They followed Him. Walk with
God and He promises, I will make you fishers of me. I'll make
you useful. And then we have His will concerning
us seeing His glory. Turn over to John 17. John chapter 17. We know that it is His will for
His sheep to see His glory. Look in verse 24. Father, and
He's the only one that could ever say this, I will. Here's
my will. Here's the Lord's will. I will. that they also whom thou hast
given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory."
It is His will that you see His glory, the glory
of His person, the glory of His Godhead, the glory of His sinless
humanity. I will. That Mike, Aaron, I go up here
and name them. Put your name there if you believe
the gospel. I will that they see my glory. You reckon you're going to see
it? I reckon you're going to see it. Because it's His will
for you to see it. We have a glimpse of it now.
That's all we have right now is a glimpse of it. But one day, One day the lattice is going
to be removed. It's like looking through a glass darkly, looking
through a lattice. One day all that's going to be
removed. And we're going to see Him in His full-blown glory.
And He said, it's my will for that to happen. And it's going
to happen. It's going to happen. He has left us a promise that we will see His glory because
it's His will for us to do so. And then we have his will concerning
his second coming. Turn over to John 14. Back to
John 14. These are promises now. Like
I said, if I were giving you a promise and you were giving
me a promise, well, maybe it'll happen and maybe it won't. But
these will. Let not your heart be troubled.
You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are
many mansions. If it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you,
and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will. You've got my word on this. This
is my promise to you. I will come again and receive
you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also." He left
us with this promise. I'm going away, and I'm going
away for this purpose, to prepare a place for you. I heard my pastor
say one time, I never forgot it, a place of acceptance. We lost that in Adam. I'm going
to prepare a place of acceptance for you, and then I'm going to
come back and I'm going to get you. I'm coming back for you,
and I'm going to take you to that place that I have prepared
for you. And in that place that I have
prepared for you, you're going to see my glory. And not only
are you going to see it, you're going to be partakers of it.
You're going to be partakers of the holiness I partaker of. He's going to present us without
fault, blameless, holy. Isn't that the way He is? Holy, harmless, undefiled, separate
from sinners. That's the way you're going to
be. That's the way we are in now. But one day we'll get rid
of this mess and enjoy the full glory of God. And then last of all, we have His will concerning our
safety and comfort till He comes. Hebrews 13, 5. Frank touched on it a little
bit earlier in his message. Let your conversation, your life,
your daily life, not just your talk, but your life, be without
covetousness. Boy, I'd like to have that. Oh,
you see, that's a beautiful house we just passed. I'd love to have
one like that. Let it be without covetousness. And be content
with such things as you have, God gave them to you. For He
has said, I will, there's a promise, I will never leave thee nor forsake
thee. And Joshua 1.5, There shall not
any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life,
as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. I will not fail
thee nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31a. And the Lord,
He it is that doth go before thee. He will be with thee. He will not fail thee, neither
forsake thee. Fear not, neither be dismayed
or confused, discouraged. The Lord's with us. If God be for us, Who can be
against us? It doesn't matter who's against
us. God's for me. It doesn't matter. It doesn't
matter. Remember this. All the I wills of our Lord,
and there's more here, there's a lot more than what I've given
you. We have the I will of His resurrection, the I will of salvation
and cleansing and intercession, Comfort? All his I wills are
sure, steadfast promises. He says, I will. He will. You
can count on it. You can hang your hat on it.
The Lord says, I will. I will come and get you. I will cleanse you. I will be
thou cleansed. All His I wills are sure promises.
That's our covenant.
