All this started with our first
look at Psalm 1. I just don't turn to it if you
don't want to, but I'm going to read the first psalm just as a refresher. It tells us, Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth
in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth
he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted
by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season. His leaf also shall not wither,
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not
so. but are like the chaff which
the wind driveth away. Therefore, the ungodly shall
not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of
the righteous. That's the elect. For the Lord
knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall
perish. And what we have seen thus far
in the course of this study is the fact that all those blessed
by God, that is all those who have been bestowed upon, that
have bestowed upon them His great grace, delight in, or consider to be
most valuable in all their life, the law of the Lord. And in this
law, they meditate or they focus upon so that it revolves continually
through their regenerate minds, day and night. This means that they see it in
every aspect of their daily providence. And they hear it as the still,
small voice of its counsel that guides them through every
personal crisis that confronts them. And they experience the
prosperity of knowing and realizing its truth in spite of every portion
of the poverty that they go through while they are in this fallen
world. While it is true that the law
of the Lord contains and communicates to us the law of Moses, which
is also called the law of sin and death, that in turn puts
on display the very desperate and sad condition of man's entire
fallen in sin state of being. The law of the Lord also contains
and communicates the blessings The blessed, sovereign, and heavenly
legal precedent that eternally secures the very salvation of
all of God's elect from out of the whole fallen human race. Which legal precedent? We have
explicitly noted from Romans 5 that basically, on the one
hand, avers that the sin of one man and therefore death by sin,
has caused the same sad eternal state of being to pass upon all
men, without exception. That's the precedent. Likewise,
however, according to this same legal precedent, the saving grace
and truth of another one man, who is Christ Jesus the Lord,
has caused the eternal justification and salvation of God to be distributed
unto every generation and nationality of fallen mankind and all his
elect children among them. This one for all divine principle
of the gospel of God's grace literally centers on Christ's
once-for-all accomplishment of eternal atonement that has saved
the souls and that captures the life and awareness of all of
God's children, bringing them under the all-governing rule
of Christ as their sovereign Savior and substitute. He rules
over them from His eternal throne. His throne of sovereign grace
and everlasting mercy. This is the law of the Lord that
righteously rules over the kingdom of Christ our God. Hence, the law of the Lord is
also referred to in Holy Scripture as being the law of faith. by which we truly and genuinely
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 3.27. And it is also the
law of truth by which we are delivered, purged and preserved
from iniquity, perversion of the truth. Malachi 2.6. Christ Himself declared as being
full of grace and truth from John 1.14. And the law of the Lord is the
law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus by which we are set free from
the bondage to the law of sin and death. Romans 8.2. And the
law of the Lord is the law of Christ. by which we fulfill the command
of Christ to love one another, to bear one another's burdens,
even as He has and does for us. Galatians 6, verse 2. And finally, the law of the Lord
is declared to be the perfect law of liberty. the perfect law
of liberty by which we are not forgetful hearers of the Word,
but conscientious doers of the Word who are blessed by God's
grace in the deeds that we do. James 1, verse 25. It truly is all-encompassing. All of this summarizes for us
the wonderful magnitude of the law of the Lord. It literally
and comprehensively encompasses our whole life and being with
its relevance in the same way, in the same exact way that eternity
circles and encompasses all of time with its relevance. Once again, the epistle of Hebrews
makes this truth very clear and plain. Let us turn back to Hebrews chapter
7 and observe verses 16 through 28. Hebrews 7, 16 through 28.
And we will see this unfold before our regenerate eyes. Hebrews
7, 16 through 19 begins by describing for us who is made,
who is become. It's talking about the priesthood
that verse 12 declares has been changed. And as a result of that,
there has to be a change of law as well. That's a crucial verse. And at this juncture in verse
16, it's talking about the high priest that the Lord Jesus Christ
represents unto us. That's the who of verse 16. Who, that is the Lord Jesus Christ,
is made or is become not after the law of a carnal commandment.
or who has become a high priest not according to the law of a
carnal commandment that rules over and declares as unrighteous
the whole age of carnal corruption. That's the law of Moses. That's
what you look at with disdain because
it reveals the sinner that you are. And it explains why you're
a sinner. It's holy, it's just, and it's
a good law. But it is a ministration of death
and not life. And Christ is not made a high
priest according to that law. That's glorious. But, Hebrews 7.16 says, after
the power of an endless life. Or, in other words, but after
the omnipotent and eternal power of His indissoluble and eternal
life. Why? Verse 17, for He, that is
Almighty God the Father, testifies concerning His Son. He states,
thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Now
this sacred statement of significance concerning Christ Jesus as the
eternal Son of God ruling from eternity and for eternity over
us as the high priest of His chosen people, the people of
God's household of heaven, is made some nine times throughout
the 13 chapters of the Epistle of Hebrews, four of which are
found to be right here in chapter 7. The first of the nine that
is declared is from Hebrews 1, verses 8 and 9, which says, but unto the Son he saith." Unto the Son, God the Father,
saith. Thy throne, O God, is forever
and ever. Praise God. A scepter of righteousness,
a ruling scepter, kingly, royal scepter in thy hand is a scepter of righteousness. And that is the scepter of thy
kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness
and hated iniquity. Therefore, God thy God hath anointed
thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Oh, what a
grand statement this is. Christ's divinely-delicated eternal
reign is hereby dogmatically decreed, eternally determined,
and boldly declared. The Son of Man, Messiah, is equal
with God because He is the eternal Son of God. And He is all-righteous. And His kingdom is an all-righteous
kingdom in which there is no iniquity. It is pure and holy. 1 John 4, 17 astoundingly says,
As He is, so are we in this world. What an amazing statement. And as amazing as this fact is,
He, Christ, is more glad about this blessed truth than we are or ever could be. God the Father anointed His Son
with the oil of gladness, happiness. Christ is simply exhilarated
with joy. over the accomplishment of saving
our wretched souls, making us pure. We could never be as happy as
He is about that. Now, can you imagine that? I mean, unless
you just don't know the magnitude of what I just said, which should
make you just deliriously happy yourself. That's what the word
blessed means, happy. Happy is the man that walketh
not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." And you know what?
As sinners, that's all you want to do. Young people want to follow the
counsel of the world because the counsel of the world directs
them on how they can be popular among their peers, on how they
can fit in, on how they can have fun. And it's all a deception. We older parents come to realize
that and we look with desperation at our children and our grandchildren
and our great-grandchildren, at the prospects of what they're
faced with, what sucks them in to the deception. Money and fame, worldly money,
worldly fame, worldly treasure. Worldly popularity has gripped
the hearts and desires and wants of our young generation, and
many times it's still got a firm hold on the older generation
as well. The fact that God has sent His
Son, anointed Him with As it says
here in Hebrews 1.9, the oil of gladness, happiness, that
the prospects of succeeding in accomplishing our eternal
redemption, our perfection, is an amazing thing. No wonder
Proverbs 8 31 declares his delights are in the sons of Adam. He's daily his father's delight,
his heavenly father. Who is one with as the only begotten
unoriginated generation. Son of God. The Father delights
in Him. He gives Him all authority in
heaven and earth. He gives Him as an inheritance,
Psalm 2 says, the nations of the world. And He's given every
single one of His elect that make Him deliriously happy in
saving. I can't imagine Christ being
deliriously happy in saving my soul. I'm such a sinner. That's the first place in which
this eternal ruling authority through
Christ is declared in Hebrews. The second place we've already
noted is from Hebrews 5, verses 5 and 6. We see this same eternal
Son of God referred to here, though, as a ruling priest. It
says, So also Christ. As it comes off the page of Holy
Scripture, in the midst of describing the Old Covenant priesthood and
their appointment as priests, it just springs forward, springs
out of the page. So also Christ. Glorified not
Himself to be made an High Priest. There's absolutely no ulterior
motive that feeds pride or self vain glory in what Christ voluntarily has
done. What the Son of God did when
He laid aside the royal garments of Godhood and took on the image. of Adam fallen. Not just Adam fallen, but a man
who is a bondservant. And not just a bondservant, but
a man who's a bondservant and comes to the grisly end of an
executed criminal and die. Embraced death. gladly for those He came to save. So also Christ glorified not
Himself to be made an High Priest, but He that said unto Him, that
is, He, the Eternal God, the Father, said unto Him, Thou art
My Son. Today I have begotten Thee. As he saith in another place,
Thou art a priest forever, or from eternity to eternity, after
the order of Melchizedek. Then the third place where Hebrews
makes this bold and blessed statement. And here we find that Jesus is
specifically named. In Hebrews 6, verse 20, from
where it, from there, explains. to which it says, the forerunner,
into which the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made
an high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek." Here's
the one for all legal precedent and divine principle of grace
being articulated, just in a different way. For us, plural, Jesus, one
man, enters as a high priest, eternal high priest, eternal
ruling high priest, into the Holy of Holies. Then we have the four times that
this declaration is made that are found in chapter 7. The statement
that stresses the eternality of the priesthood of the Lord
Jesus Christ. But let's jump on to the last two occurrences. That's found in chapter 13, verses
8 and 21. Verses 8 and 21. And from there
we will observe, once again, specifically here, the eternal
glory. of our Lord Jesus Christ being
emphasized and declared. First of all, from verse 8, it
says, Jesus Christ, the same, yesterday and today and forever. That simple statement. We quote
it many times. It's the favorite verse of many.
It's easy to remember. But it's saying some very profound
things. In other words, Jesus, the eternal
Christ of God, has never ever been anything other, we saw that
from Proverbs 8, than the all-glorious Lord and Savior that He presently
is and will forever be. Hallelujah. Then verses 20 and 21 tell us
plainly. Now the God of peace that brought
again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of
the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting
covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will,
working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight. through Jesus Christ and all
that He did. All that He is and all that He
did. To whom be glory forever and
ever. Amen. The law of the Lord is
the law of the eternal covenant. Wherein there is declared the
gospel of the eternal and abiding glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise His blessed, holy name. Let's go back to Hebrews 7. Therefore, does Hebrews 7, verses
18 and 19 continue to make the significant comparison, comparing
The law and the priesthood of the old covenant with the law
and the priesthood of the new. Verse 18 says, For there is,
or there becometh, verily, or truly, a disannulling, a cancellation
of the commandment going before. that is of the prescriptive law
of Moses of the old covenant. Why? How can this be? For the
weakness and unprofitableness thereof. The law of Moses, the law of
sin and death is weak and unprofitable. Or literally, for the impotence
and uselessness of the law's prescriptions to correct, change,
and save us. Verse 19, for the law made nothing
perfect. That is, the law of Moses made
nothing, touched by the curse at fall, eternally perfect. But the bringing in of a better
hope did. That is, the establishment of
the one for all legal precedent and sovereign grace principle
did. That which condemned us on the
one hand, saves us on the other. By the which, it says, that is,
by the which hope, We draw nigh unto God. We draw nigh unto God
through the once for all person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now let's note the reason why
this is true. Hebrews 7, verses 20 and 21.
It tells us. It says, And inasmuch as not
without an oath Literally, He was made priest. Jesus was made
priest. It wasn't without an oath. Then
it explains, verse 21, for those priests were made without an
oath. But He, literally, with an oath. An oath by who? By Him. That is, by Almighty God the
Father that said unto Him, That is that said unto the Lord Jesus
Christ His Son, the Lord swear and will not repent, thou art
a priest. Thou art a priest. That not thou
wilt be a priest. This is revealing to us the behind
the scenes eternal reality. that gives Christ all the glory
of the good news of our salvation. God the Father declared of God
the Son, Thou art a priest forever. After the order of Melchizedek. Psalm 110.4. Therefore, the difference
between the two priestly orders The carnal and temporary one
that is appointed for the old Mosaic covenant and the one that
is eternally established and forever fixed through the eternal
Son of God is made apparent because the eternal order was made by
a decorative oath by Almighty and Eternal God. That's the difference. Does Hebrews 7.22 make the blessed
statement, by so much, literally, hath Jesus become a surety. That is an eternal surety of
a better testament, or beloved, a better covenant. And then there
is declared some of the most blessed explanations in the scriptures,
in the gospel, that explain why the gospel truly is such great
news. These blessed statements become
the substance of the delightful and faith-strengthening daily
meditations of the regenerate understandings of the people
of God day and night, to the praise of the glory of God's
great grace. Let's consider that which is
being communicated to us from Hebrews 7, verses 23 down through
the end of the chapter, verse 28. From where we shall see that
because of the change of the priesthood and because of the
change of the law, The eternal salvation of all
the household of God is firmly secured and established forever. This section begins by pointing
out an obvious truth concerning the covenant priesthood under
Moses. It says, verse 23, and they truly
were many priests." That is, they, of the Mosaic-Levitical
priesthood, truly were many priests. Why? Because, it says, they were
not suffered or they were not permitted to continue by reason
of death. In other words, because they
were sinners. And the wages of sin is death.
No single appointed high priest, however good or bad he may be,
and this is a good thing because we had some bad high priests,
but no single appointed high priest could continue because
he's a sinner. And the wages of sin is death.
That's the law of the Lord. That's the unchangeable declaration. of the law of Moses himself. A ministration of death, according
to 2 Corinthians 3, verse 24. But, and literally it is He, because
He continueth forever, Or in other words, but Jesus, because
He is the holy, eternal Son of God in human flesh, He remains
for eternity. He remains High Priest for eternity. He's been the High Priest. He
came into this world as High Priest. We haven't seen that
statement boldly declared yet, but it's there. And because He remains for eternity, The Scripture says in verse 24,
hath an unchangeable priesthood. Which literally means he has
an untransferable priesthood. There's no one else to transfer
that office to, that holy office before God. There's no one else. No one else could hold this holy
office forever. except the Lord Jesus Christ. Next is the awesome conclusion
that the Holy Spirit leads us into making. And He does not
leave it up to us to draw the right conclusion. Because we're
fallen and sinful and therefore unable to do so. Even if we do
have the substance and criteria of gospel truth to begin with,
we, in our fallen condition, would not draw the right conclusion. He must do it for us. And He
has. He simply announces the conclusion
unto us as He does all the gospel. And here it is. He says, verse
25, Wherefore, which means consequently, He, the Lord Christ, is able
to save them to the uttermost. Therefore, He is able to save
those of His household to the full completion that come unto
God by Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the
truth, and the life. No man comes unto the Father
but by me. And our salvation depends on
us being able to come right directly into the presence of the Holy,
Holy, Holy Father. And some dramatic changes have
to be made before we're able to do that. We have to be raised
from the dead. We have to be made holy without
spot, without wrinkle, without blame. Our consciences even that carry
around the baggage of all that we've done wrong need to be wiped
clean of guilt. Do you believe that? It needs to be done. And it's
been done. Through the blood of the everlasting
covenant, make you perfect. Wherefore, He is able also to
save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing
He ever liveth to make intercession for them. Do you know Romans 8.27? Can
you quote it? I know you know Romans 8.28.
Do you know Romans 8.27? Open your Bibles. Turn to Romans
8.27. This is one time, if I quote
it for you, it's not going to have the impact if you don't
read it. Read what it says. He that knoweth He that searcheth the hearts
knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession
for the saints according to the will of God." That's the foundation
for, and we know that all things work together for God. His law rules over every minute
detail, every minute circumstance, every daily providence of our
lives. He makes it good. Why? Because we are predestined to
be conformed to the image of His Son. He that searches the hearts knows
what is the mind of the Spirit, because He ever lives to make
intercession for us. In other words, the Lord Jesus
Christ is the eternal Son of God, eternally lives as our High
Priest to fulfill the eternal purpose of providing effective
intercession on our behalf for the eternal salvation of our
sinful and lost souls. It is His law that we need an
effective propitiation. And He has obediently fulfilled
that law. The law of the Lord. Psalm 119,
97 says, Oh, how I love thy law. It is my meditation all the day. And you know, David didn't write
that, or Ezra, who may have written Psalm 119, I don't know. Nobody
really knows for sure. But whoever the Lord inspired
to write these wonderful words wasn't talking about the law
of Moses. He said, Oh, I love that law
of Moses. It's such a comfort to know I'm condemned as a sinner. It's such a comfort to read it
and see exactly why I deserve the eternal unrestrained wrath
of God on my soul. It's such a great comfort to
see all the mandates and prescriptions that it contains and know that
as hard as I try, If you break one, you break them all. I don't. It's not what he's talking about. He's talking about the law of
the Lord. That's of a different dimension.
That takes you to different levels. That raises you way up above
the Law of Moses. The Law of the Lord contains
in it the blood of Christ that blots out my sins, that cleanses
my conscience of guilt, and blots out even the handwriting of ordinances
against me. that's contained in those ordinances
against me. It blocks that out. The law of
the Lord is just the blessed, wonderful, eternal salvation
because He is my High Priest. And no greater High Priest could
there ever, ever be than Him. And He's always been my High
Priest. My, how Adam and Eve must have
jumped for joy to discover the reality of this truth. Their Creator, God, had really
prepared the way for their preservation. And the sacrificial system typifies
what Christ has done as the Lamb slain from the foundation of
the world. And the Book of Life is the Book
of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
That's the title of it. And the only ones that aren't
going to be there and receive the benefits, that haven't received
the benefits of that, are the ones whose names are not found,
written in the Lamb's Book of Life, the slain Lamb's Book of
Life. Then the book of the law of the
Lord from Hebrews 7.26 goes on to explain. Verse 26, for such an high priest,
look at this, became us. What's that mean? Oh, In other words, for such an holy,
eternal High Priest was exactly what we needed to represent us,
and He became us. For He hath made Him who knew
no sin to become sin for us, that we might become the righteousness
of God in Him. Oh, verse 26 goes on to descriptively
declare, who unlike us is holy, harmless. That word means holy,
holy God is not suspicious of any wrongdoing. You know, it's
one thing for us among ourselves, if we've done one another wrong,
and we confess it, and we make up, and we're forgiven, there
is something though that has forever changed. May forgive that brother or that
sister, but you're never going to look at them exactly the same.
You're always going to be a little bit suspicious. and it's wonderful,
or to be able to pick up a book and you know a little bit about
the author of the book, and you want to read something that's
good and going to feed your soul and not lead you down the primrose
path of iniquity, but you're just a little suspicious because
you know what he holds, where he stands on certain issues.
So you read with suspicion. There is no suspicion in Christ.
There is none of that. He's perfect. Holy. It says holy first. That's why
He's harmless. You cannot get anything ill out
of Him. And this is God's statement concerning
His Son as our High Priest. He's holy. He's harmless. I don't
have to look with suspicion on my Son. And I'm looking at Him on your
behalf. If I just looked at you, you
could say, I want to love you, but I'm suspicious. Do you really
love me? In Christ, we do. We love the
Father equally as He does. Do you realize that? Oh, I don't want to delve into
the air, and I don't want you to do it with me either. Do you
really love Christ? You really love God? Thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, mind, and strength?
Which one of those areas nails you? It doesn't matter. We love our opinions. Those are the most dangerous
things that we hold. We need to lose our opinions
all in the Word of God. And the truth of the Word of
God. And we need to pray, dear God, keep me from error from
the Word, because that's exactly where Satan leads so many people
astray. From what's written between these
two covers. He knows how to make wrong look
right and right look wrong. God delivers. But Christ is holy,
harmless, unsuspicious, undefiled, that is pure. And we must likewise
understand the pure doctrine concerning a pure Christ. We don't very often let the purity
police into our Bible studies because we don't want to be discovered
that what we're holding is not really totally pure. but it's absolutely a requirement
in the law of the Lord. The word of the Lord is perfect,
forever settled in the heavens. Christ is holy, harmless, undefiled,
separate from sinners, totally other. than what we are as being
sinners, and made higher than the heavens. He is the Most High,
All-Glorious, Christ our God, our Great Savior. Verse 25 says,
Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, those high priests
under the Mosaic covenant did, to offer up sacrifice, That is,
the sacrifice of animals according to the law of Moses, first for his own sins and then
for the people's. Why did the other high priests
under Moses have to do that? You say, well, it's obvious,
they were just fallen men. sinners. That's right. Because they, even as high priests,
appointed by God, were still sinners. As so were the people
that they were representing before holy God. But where Jesus is
concerned, it says, for this He did. Literally, it just says in your
old King James, it just says once. It really literally in
the original is once for all. There's that legal precedent,
you see. This he did once for all when he offered up himself. In other words, for this, Christ
Jesus did, once for all, in order to comply with the heavenly legal
precedent of one for all, when He offered up His own body, His
own holy, eternal self unto God. Do you know what this means? This means that we do not in
any way minister to the lost. Now hear me when I say this to
you. We do not in any way minister
to the lost when we pretend and presume to have the authority
to offer Jesus Christ as Savior unto the world for their choosing
and their acceptance. Do you hear what I'm saying? We don't do them any earthly
good or heavenly good. No. You see, why? The Lord Jesus Christ has already
offered up Himself, not unto the world, but unto God for His
holy, divine approval and His holy, wholehearted acceptance. That's why it says in Ephesians
chapter 1 and verse 6, to the praise of the glory of His grace,
wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved. Because the Beloved's
accepted, I'm accepted. As He is, so am I, even in this
world. where all my fallenness flowers
like a weed garden. Christ has done this. This has
been accomplished by the Lord Jesus Christ. And He has done
this on behalf of all those whom God the Father gave to Him. All those for whom He came into
this world to save. 1 Timothy 1.15, this is a faithful
saying and worthy of all our acceptation. We can accept this.
That Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. But you've
never looked at it from the same connotation that is being delivered
to you right now. It's always been looked at from
the standpoint, oh, that Christ Jesus came into the world to
save sinners, therefore, let's go out and offer Christ to the world
so that they can accept and be saved. What? That's a big God forbid
in front of that. Taken truth and drawn exactly
the wrong conclusion. You don't make an offer out of
what Christ has made an offering. His offering of Himself saved
us! Not made it possible to save
us. It's better than that. Saved
us. As the eternal High Priest of
all those given to Him by God, His sacrifice of Himself was
accounted as being adequately acceptable and completely satisfactory
and exactly enough to save us from all our sins for all eternity. Praise His name. Finally, Hebrews
7.28 states it so clear. In this chapter's final comparison
between the priesthood of the old covenant and that of the
new, verse 28 says, 4, the law maketh men, that is, the law
of Moses maketh fallen men, high priests, which have infirmity. That is, which have sinful and
even shameful weaknesses. But, the word of the oath, or
the word of God's immutable oath, Which oath was divinely annexed
to and upon Christ by God when He swore that He, His only begotten
eternal Son, is a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek?
Melchizedek, the King of righteousness. and the king of Salem, or Jerusalem,
the type of the church, and the king of peace, making Christ
Jesus the only one capable of eternally reconciling us with
God. And this oath, it says, which
was since the law, That is, the oath was not divinely revealed
as having been eternally decreed until after the law of Moses
and its mandated and carnal priesthood was given at Mount Sinai. For
the oath was not uncovered as even existing in the divine plan
and requirements, otherwise known as the law of the Lord. for Christ
to have to fulfill until the time of David. The first statement
concerning Melchizedek and the priesthood of Jesus, and the
similitude between the both, is Psalm 110.4. It has been there from all eternity,
as all of the blessings of eternal salvation have been there from
all eternity. But it was not made known until the Davidic
covenant was cut by God. The final statement of Hebrews
7.28 serves quite well to summarize for us how and why the law of
the Lord rules over God's elect from and for all eternity. It says, the word of the oath,
that is the oath of God the Father, maketh the Son, that is maketh
the eternal Son of God the Father, who is consecrated. What's that
saying? That one word, God is saying
Christ is holy and acceptable with Him, His holy being. Jesus is the personification
of accomplished perfection. He was made perfect by the things that he suffered.
He learned obedience through his sufferings. He is as perfect man, perfect
obedience, perfect sufferings, perfect sacrifice, perfect high
priest of God, which in turn makes him to be the perfect substitute
for all of us. who are of His made-perfect household. Praise His holy and eternally
perfect name. I conclude with the words of
Christ Himself when He said, Be ye therefore perfect, even
as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Amen.
