OK, this evening we're going
to take a look at Psalm 24, a brief look at Psalm 24. The title of
the message this evening is, Who is this King of Glory? Found in verse 8, the question,
Who is this King of Glory? Again, down in verse 10, Who
is this King of Glory? And I love what it says, The
Lord strong and mighty. No one stronger, no one with
more power than the Lord Jesus Christ. He's king in heaven,
and he's king in the earth. He's God and king everywhere. He's every man's Lord, God, and
king. The Lord mighty in battle. He's never lost a battle. He's
been in a few, but he's never lost a battle. IS THIS KING OF
GLORY? TO THE BELIEVER, THE ANSWER IS
MOST OBVIOUS. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, HE IS
THE KING OF GLORY, BUT THE BLESSEDNESS OF THAT TO THE BELIEVER IS THIS,
HE'S OUR KING. HE'S OUR GOD, HE'S OUR REDEEMER,
WHO ENTERS GLORY BY THE MERIT OF HIS FINISHED WORK OF REDEMPTION,
BY HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD, BY THE MERIT OF HIS PERFECT JUSTIFYING
RIGHTEOUSNESS WHEREBY HE HONORED THE LAW OF GOD. THE GOOD NEWS
OF THE GOSPEL IS THIS, HE ENTERS IN not as a private man, but
as a public head, for he is the Lord of hosts. We call that representation. He's a representative man. He
came as a representative man, he lived as a representative
man, and he died as a representative man. When he ascended to glory,
he entered in for us, and we entered in with him. HE'S A REPRESENTATIVE
MAN FOR HIS COVENANT CHILDREN. UPON HIS FINISHED REDEMPTION,
UPON HIS PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS, NOT ONLY DEMANDS HIS ENTRANCE
AND RECEPTION INTO GLORY, BUT ALSO DEMANDS OUR SALVATION AS
WELL, AND GIVES US FULL RIGHT AND TITLE UNTO HEAVEN'S GLORY
AND SALVATION THROUGH WHAT HE WROUGHT FOR US, WHAT HE HAS DONE
FOR US. THAT'S THAT WORD YOU ASKED ME
ABOUT THE OTHER DAY. HE WROUGHT FOR US, W-R-O-U-G-H-T. HE WORKED OUT ALL SALVATION FOR
US. GOD WHO HAS BEGUN A GOOD WORK,
HE WILL FINISH IT. WE ARE ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SUFFERED
ONCE FOR OUR SINS, THE JUST FOR THE UNJUST, THAT HE MIGHT BRING
US TO GOD. THE ONLY WAY WE CAN COME IS IN
CHRIST, AND HE BRINGS US. HE'S THE CAPTAIN OF OUR SALVATION,
WHO'S BRINGING MANY SONS UNTO GLORY. WHO IS THIS KING OF GLORY? WELL, HE'S OUR GOD, OUR SAVIOR,
MEDIATOR, ADVOCATE, INTERCESSOR, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. NOW, VERSE
1 AND 2, THE EARTH, THE EARTH OF CREATION, LORD. HIS BY DESIGN, HE SPOKE
ALL THINGS INTO EXISTENCE, HE CREATED ALL THINGS BY THE WORD
OF HIS POWER, AND HE KEEPS IT FULL. WE NEVER RUN OUT. SUNSHINE NEVER RUNS OUT. WATER NEVER RUNS OUT. THE OCEANS, THEY'RE ALWAYS FULL. THE FULLNESS THEREOF, ALL THE
SEAS AND SEA MONSTERS AND FISH AND CREATURES OF THE SEA THEY
FISH AND FISH AND FISH AND YES IT'S FULL. FULL. HE FILLS IT. HE MAINTAINS IT. ALL THINGS BY
HIM ARE CREATED AND BY HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST. THEY'RE HELD
TOGETHER. THEY'RE CREATED BY HIM AND FOR
HIM AND FOR HIS GLORY AND BY HIS POWER THEY'RE HELD TOGETHER.
THE EARTH IS THE LORD'S. NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT. WE BELIEVE
WHAT GOD SAYS IN HIS BOOK, IN THE BEGINNING, GOD CREATED THE
HEAVENS AND THE EARTH. GOD CREATED. THIS JUST DIDN'T
HAPPEN. GOD CREATED THE HEAVEN AND THE
EARTH. AND THEY THAT DWELL THEREIN, WHERE DID MAN COME FROM? GOD
CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE, AND THEY THAT DWELL THEREIN,
WE ALL CAME FROM ONE MAN, NOT ONE MONKEY, ONE MAN, ADAM. ADAM. AND THEY THAT DWELL THEREIN,
HE IS THE LORD OF ALL CREATURES. HE HAS DOMINION FROM SEA TO SEA. HE HAS DOMINION AND POWER OVER
EVERYTHING HE HAS CREATED. HE FOUNDED IT. HE ESTABLISHED
IT. HE FOUNDED IT AND HE ESTABLISHED
IT UPON THE FLOODS, UPON THE SEAS. THIS IS THE FIRST CREATION. IN THAT NEW CREATION THERE'S
GOING TO BE A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH WHEREIN DWELLETH
RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JOHN SAID THERE'LL BE NO MORE SEA. THAT NEW CREATION
THERE IS FOUNDED UPON THE ROCK THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. SO THE
EARTH IS THE LORD, A CLEAR AND POWERFUL DECLARATION THAT ALL
THINGS IN HEAVEN AND EARTH BELONG TO THE CREATOR, NOT THE CREATURE. NOW I KNOW WHAT CREATURES DO.
THEY GET A PIECE OF LAND AND THEY GO GET A TITLE OF DEED TO
IT AND THEY SAY THIS IS No, it's not. You're just a squatter. All things belong to God. We
don't have a piece of land that belongs to us. We may have a
name on a piece of paper, but every believer has to confess,
and he does it willingly. This is the Lord's place. This
is the Lord's house, and he let me live here for a little bit.
He founded it, established it, the creation of all things, THE
LORD, AND HE'S A SUSTAINER OF ALL THINGS. ALL THINGS ARE UNDER
HIS ABSOLUTE DOMINION. HE DOES ACCORDING TO HIS WILL
IN THE ARMY OF HEAVEN AND AMONG THE INHABITANTS OF THIS EARTH,
AND NONE CAN STAY HIS HAND OR SAY UNTO HIM, LORD GOD, ALMIGHTY,
WHAT DOEST THOU WHATSOEVER THE LORD PLEASE? THAT DID HE IN HEAVEN
AND EARTH. LET'S SEE IF WE CAN READ THAT. Psalm 135 verse 5. Well, I know
that the Lord is great and that our Lord is above all gods Small
g whatsoever the Lord pleased that did he in heaven In earth in the seas and all
deep places he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the
earth He maketh lightnings for the rain He bringeth the wind
OUT OF HIS TREASURIES THE WIND BLOWS WHERE IT WILLS BY HIS SOVEREIGN
WILL AND HIS SOVEREIGN PURPOSE. HE'S THE KING OF ALL THE EARTH
EVEN SO GOD CREATED ALL THINGS BY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WHO
HAS REDEEMED HIS CHURCH HIS PEOPLE BY HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD. HE HAS
ALL WISDOM TO RULE, ALL POWER TO SUSTAIN, ALL DOMINION TO CONTROL
ALL THINGS. AREN'T YOU GLAD HE'S IN CHARGE?
AS BELIEVERS, WE DON'T BELIEVE THE RAIN COMES BY MOTHER NATURE
OR MISFORTUNE OR LADY LUCK. THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS MOTHER
NATURE. GOD CONTROLS ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER. THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST AS A GOD-MAN MEDIATOR HAS BEEN GIVEN ALL POWER
OVER ALL FLESH THAT HE SHOULD GIVE ETERNAL LIFE TO AS MANY
AS GOD HAS GIVEN TO HIM. WE SAY OFTEN HE'S SOVEREIGN IN
CREATION, HE'S SOVEREIGN IN PROVIDENCE, AND HE'S SOVEREIGN IN... WHAT'S
THAT THIRD ONE? SALVATION. SALVATION. HE WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM HE
WILL HAVE MERCY. WHY? WELL, HE'S THE LORD. HE'S
THE LORD, THE CREATOR, THE SUSTAINER. HE ESTABLISHED IT. HE FOUNDED
IT. HE SAID, I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I WILL. WHO ARE YOU TO
REPLY AGAINST GOD? WE'RE NOBODY. GOD'S IN CONTROL
OF ALL THINGS. NOW, VERSE 3, TOO SERIOUS, SOLEMN
QUESTIONS. WHO SHALL ASCEND INTO HIS PRESENCE? THAT'S WHAT HE'S SAYING THERE,
THE HILL OF THE LORD. WHO SHALL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?
THAT'S WHAT HE'S SAYING. WHO SHALL STAND? TO ASCEND WOULD BE ONE THING,
BUT TO STAND OR TO ABIDE, THAT WOULD BE ANOTHER THING, WOULD
IT NOT? WHO SHALL ASCEND INTO THE Presence
of the Lord now what sinful and puny creatures possess any ability
to AND WOULD HAVE ANY RIGHTEOUSNESS TO ENTER INTO GOD'S HOLY PRESENCE
IN AND OF THEIR FLESH. WOULD THEY HAVE ANY ENERGY TO
DO THAT, ANY STRENGTH TO DO THAT, ANY RIGHTEOUSNESS TO ASCEND UNTO
THE HILL OF THE LORD? HE DWELLS IN A LIGHT TO WHICH
NO MAN CAN APPROACH. HE SAID, NO MAN CAN COME TO ME
EXCEPT THE FATHER WHICH SENT ME. SINFUL CREATURES WE ARE WHO HAVE
NO ABILITY IN OUR FLESH TO ASCEND TO THE HILL OF THE LORD, OR WHO
SHALL STAND OR ABIDE IN HIS HOLY PLACE? IF YOU COULD ASCEND UPON
THE MERIT OF CREATURE RIGHTEOUSNESS, WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO CONTINUE
THERE OR ABIDE THERE IN HIS PRESENCE? NONE. GOD TOO HOLY TO LOOK UPON
SIN WITH FAVOR. THE UNRIGHTEOUS SHALL NOT STAND
IN HIS PRESENCE. SO, THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION
IS, WHO SHALL ASCEND TO THE HILL OF THE LORD? NO ONE. IN THE ENERGY
AND STRENGTH OF HUMAN CREATURE MERIT, OR WHO SHALL STAND IN
HIS HOLY PLACE? NO ONE. NO ONE IN THE STRENGTH
AND RIGHTEOUSNESS OF HIMSELF. NOW HERE'S THE ANSWER TO THAT
QUESTION, BOTH THOSE QUESTIONS. THE ONE WHO ASCENDS TO THE HILL
OF THE LORD AND THE ONE WHO STANDS OR ABIDES IN HIS HOLY PLACE IS
HE THAT HATH HOLY HANDS, CLEAN HANDS, AND HE THAT HAS A HOLY
HEART, A PURE HEART, ONE WHO HAS NEVER EVER LIFTED UP HIS
SOUL UNTO VANITY, NOR HAS EVER SWORN DECEITFULLY, HAS NEVER
UTTERED ANY FALSEHOOD WHATSOEVER. NOW, I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU,
BUT IF I CONSIDER MYSELF WHO I AM IN MYSELF, IN MY SINFUL
FLESH, I CERTAINLY DON'T HAVE CLEAN HANDS, ALTHOUGH I WASH
THEM IN WATER ALL THE TIME, USE THAT HAND SANITIZER ALL THE TIME TO
KILL THOSE GERMS SO I DON'T CATCH THE VIRUS, THE FLU, BUT I DON'T
HAVE CLEAN HANDS IN GOD'S SIGHT, AND I CERTAINLY DON'T HAVE A
PURE HEART. THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND DESPERATELY
WICKED. AND I CERTAINLY HAVE LIFTED UP
MY SOUL TO VANITY UPON MANY OCCASIONS ALL MY LIFE, AND I CERTAINLY
HAVE SWORN DECEITFULLY. PREACHER, YOU MEAN YOU'VE TOLD
A LIE? COUNTLESS TIMES. COUNTLESS TIMES. LET GOD BE TRUE
IN EVERY MAN. EVERY MAN A LIAR. NOW, GOD DOESN'T
LOWER HIS STANDARD TO SNEAK US IN THE BACK DOOR. HE'S NOT GONNA
LOWER THE STANDARD OF HIS LAW AND SAY, OKAY, I'M GONNA OVERLOOK
THAT ONE. I'M GONNA OVERLOOK THOSE UNCLEAN HANDS. I'M GONNA
OVERLOOK THAT DECEITFUL HEART. I'M GONNA OVERLOOK THESE THINGS
AND I'M JUST GONNA BRING YOU IN THE BACK DOOR. GOD DOESN'T
LOWER HIS STANDARD. HIS STANDARD NEVER CHANGES. YOU
REMEMBER WHAT THE SCRIPTURES TEACH? IT MUST BE PERFECT TO
BE ACCEPTED. THANK GOD WE'RE ONLY ACCEPTED
IN THE BELOVED. HE IS THE ONE THAT IS PERFECT. NOW, WHO IS THIS DESCRIBING IN
VERSE 4? WHO IS THIS DESCRIBING? IT WOULD
BE A SAD PERVERSION OF THIS PRECIOUS SCRIPTURE TO SUPPOSE THAT IT
DESCRIBES ANYONE BUT ANYONE BUT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. GOD IN OUR NATURE. GOD IN OUR FLESH. I BET THAT'S
PROBABLY NOT A GOOD WORD. I WOULD SAY, I WOULD VENTURE
THIS. MOST SELF-RIGHTEOUS RELIGIOUS
PEOPLE WOULD READ THAT VERSE AND THEY WOULD SAY, WELL, I'VE
GOT CLEAN HANDS. I've got a pure heart. Well,
I've certainly never done anything, lifted my soul to vanity and
sworn deceitfully. Maybe I was back years ago when
I was a rounder, but I'm cleaned up now. I'm a member of the church.
I live above sin. Most religious people look at
that and say, well, I've done that one. I've got that one.
I've got that one checked off. Well, I certainly have done that
one. Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong. THIS IS DESCRIBING OUR
BLESSED MEDIATOR, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. GOD IN OUR NATURE, WHO
HAD NO SIN, KNEW NO SIN, AND DID NO SIN. GREAT IS THE MYSTERY
OF GODLINESS. GOD WAS MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH. WHERE SHALL WE LOOK AMONG THE
FALLEN SONS OF ADAM TO FIND SUCH A MAN? ALL OF US HAVE SINNED
AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. BUT THERE IS A MAN THE GOD-MAN
MEDIATOR WHOSE NAME IS WONDERFUL COUNSELOR THE MIGHTY GOD THE
EVERLASTING FATHER WHO SHALL AND HAS ASCENDED TO GLORY AND
ENTERED IN THERE AS OUR FORERUNNER FOR US. WHOEVER LIVES RIGHT NOW
TO INTERCEDE FOR US This is the description of our God and our
Savior. And what He did as the God-man
mediator honoring the law of God in every precept and even
in the penalty is our righteousness before God. Now because He enters
in, we enter in in Him. That's the good news of the gospel. WHEN HE HAD BY HIMSELF PURGED
OUR SIN, HE SAT DOWN ON THE RIGHT HAND OF THE THRONE OF GOD, AND
HE SAT DOWN NOT AS A PRIVATE MAN, BUT AS A PUBLIC COVENANT
HEAD. WHERE THE HEAD IS, THAT'S WHERE
THE BODY IS. WHAT'S THROUGH THE HEAD IS THROUGH THE BODY. YOU
SEE, THE BLESSEDNESS OF THE GOSPEL IS, WE SAT DOWN IN HIM. None but the Lord Jesus Christ
could it be said that he has clean hands no outward violation
of the law One who has never sinned in word thought or deed
The father said I'm well, this is my beloved son in whom I'm
well pleased none But the Lord Jesus could it be said that he
had a pure heart? WHO NEVER IMAGINED A VAIN THING
OR AN EVIL THOUGHT, WHO LOVED GOD WITH ALL OF HIS HEART, SOUL,
MIND, AND STRENGTH. NO MERE MAN HAS EVER DONE THAT.
AND THOSE WHO THINK THEY HAVE ARE JUST DELUDED BECAUSE OF THEIR
DECEITFUL HEART. NEVER LIFTED UP HIS SOUL TO VANITY,
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST NEVER HAS. ONE WHO HAS LOVED GOD PERFECTLY
WITH ALL OF HIS HEART. You remember from our study in
Acts chapter 10 how God anointed the Lord Jesus Christ with a
Holy Ghost and power who went about doing good. He's the only
one that did. You see, among men there's none
righteous, no, not one. There's none that doeth good,
no, not one. The Lord Jesus Christ is the
only one who has never sworn deceitfully. The one who always
speaks perfect, absolute truth. He said, the word that I speak
unto you, they are spirit and they are life. He speaks absolute
truth. He said, the words I speak are
not mine, but the word that my father has sent me. That's what
he speaks. Now these conditions and descriptions
suit none but the Lord Jesus Christ as a God-man mediator. Such a high priest became us
who was holy, harmless, undefiled, and separate from sin. Listen
to this scripture. No man hath ascended up to heaven. That's pretty clear, isn't it? No man hath ascended up to heaven,
but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man, which is
in heaven. What about Enoch and Elijah? THEY ONLY ASCENDED TO GOD PRESENT
IN THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, BECAUSE CHRIST
WAS THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS, IMPUTED TO THEM FREELY BY HIS GRACE. I'M SURE ABOUT THAT. LOOK AT
VERSE 5, HE SHALL RECEIVE THE BLESSING FROM THE LORD. Now who
deserves the blessings of honoring the law of God and precept and
penalty? None but the Lord Jesus Christ.
He shall receive the blessing from the Lord and the righteousness
from the God of his salvation. The generation of believers HE SHALL RECEIVE THE BLESSING
FROM THE LORD, WHO BUT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST HAS MERITED AND
EARNED ALL THE BLESSINGS OF THE COVENANT OF GOD'S GRACE." YOU
SEE, WE ARE BLESSED ONLY IN HIM. HE'S BLESSED US WITH ALL SPIRITUAL
BLESSING IN THE HEAVENLY IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. WE READ THIS
ABOUT OUR GREAT SHEPHERD, THE GOD OF PEACE THAT BROUGHT AGAIN
FROM THE DEAD OUR LORD JESUS, THAT GREAT SHEPHERD OF THE SHEEP
THROUGH THE BLOOD OF THE EVERLASTING COVENANT. NOW IF WE THROW CHRIST
IN THE BACKGROUND and put covenant blessings based upon our obedience,
our personal obedience or our personal righteousness or upon
our personal faith or our personal repentance and make ourselves
as a character, make out like ourselves as the character described
here only to gratify our sinful pride and fleshly RELIGIOUS PRIDE,
WE SADLY CORRUPT THE TRUTH OF THIS BLESSED SCRIPTURE. WE ONLY
ENTER INTO GLORY BASED UPON HIS FAITHFULNESS, HIS OBEDIENCE. THIS IS OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST,
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO ENTERED IN FOR US. WHOEVER LIVED TO INTERCEDE
FOR US NOW. NOW, LOOK AT VERSE 6, THIS IS
THE GENERATION OF THEM THAT SEEK HIM. NOW, PSALM 27 SAYS THIS. TURN OVER JUST ONE PAGE. PSALM
27. LOOK AT VERSE 8. PSALM 27, VERSE 8. WHEN THOU SAIDST, SEEK YE MY
FACE, MY HEART SAID UNTO ME, THY FACE LORD WILL I SEEK. WHEN GOD SAYS SEEK HIM, WE WILL
SEEK HIM. MEN BY NATURE LOVE DARKNESS,
NOT LIGHT. THE GENERATION OF THEM THAT SEEK
HIM, THAT SEEK THY FACE, O GOD OF JACOB. THE GENERATION OF BELIEVERS
ARE CALLED THE TRUE SEED OF ABRAHAM. THE TRUE SEED OF CHRIST, THE
ELECT OF GOD, GIVEN TO HIM IN THAT COVENANT OF GRACE. HE SAYS,
ALL THAT THE FATHER HATH GIVEN TO ME, THEY WILL COME TO ME,
AND THOSE THAT COME TO ME, I WILL IN NO WISE CAST OUT. THESE COVENANT
PEOPLE, THE ELECT OF GOD, THEY SEEK SALVATION BASED UPON CHRIST'S
RIGHTEOUSNESS. THEY SEEK SALVATION BASED UPON
HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD REDEMPTION. THEY SEEK SALVATION IN THE FACE
OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. THEY SEEK THY FACE. YOU SEE VERSE
6? THEY SEEK SALVATION IN HIS PERSON,
HIS FACE. YOUR FACE IS WHO YOU ARE. WE
SEEK SALVATION IN THE FACE OF GOD, WHO IS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. SALVATION'S IN A PERSON. YOU
REMEMBER GOD COMMANDS THE LIGHT TO SHINE OUT OF THE DARKNESS
HAS SHINED IN OUR HEART TO GIVE US THE LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE
OF THE GLORY OF GOD THAT SHINES IN THE FACE OF THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST. THEY SING UNTO HIM SALVATION'S
OF THE LORD. AND TO HIM WHO LOVED US, REMEMBER,
WASHED US FROM OUR SIN IN HIS OWN BLOOD, TO HIM BE GLORY, DOMINION,
BOTH NOW AND FOREVER. THIS IS THE GENERATION OF THOSE
THAT SEEK SALVATION IN CHRIST, AND HE'S THE GOD OF JACOB, THE
GOD OF JACOB. HE SAID, I'M THE LORD, I CHANGE
NOT, THEREFORE YOU SONS OF JACOB ARE NOT CONSUMED. Now look at
verse 7 and verse 9 together. Lift up your heads, O ye gates,
and be lift up, ye everlasting doors. Why? The king of glory's
coming in. And he repeats it, not that he
needs to, but that we might have a double portion. Lift up your
heads, O ye gates. Lift them up. Open those doors. Why? Kick them open. EVERLASTING
DOORS. CHRIST IS THE DOOR, ISN'T HE?
THE KING OF GLORY. HE'S THE KING AND HE'S THE DOOR.
HE'S EVERYTHING IN SALVATION. CHRIST IS ALL IN ALL. OUR GREAT
GOD REPEATS THIS GLORY STATEMENT TWICE. THE KING OF GLORY SHALL
ENTER IN AND OCCUPY THE THRONE AS THE BELIEVER'S FORERUNNER. THE DOORS OF GLORY ARE SHUT TO
THE GUILTY BUT THE DOORS OF GLORY MUST OPEN WIDE TO RECEIVE THE
RETURNING CONQUERING KING. THE DISCIPLES WATCHED THE LORD
OF GLORY ASCEND INTO HEAVEN, AND THOSE GATES OPENED WIDE,
AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST MARCHED IN UPON HIS FINISHED REDEMPTION,
HAVING DONE THE WILL OF GOD. WHAT A GREAT DAY OF CELEBRATION
THIS MUST HAVE BEEN. THINK OF IT. THE ANGELS DESIRE
TO LOOK INTO THESE THINGS WHEN THE GOSPEL'S PREACHED, WHEN THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST HAS SENDED BACK TO GLORY. WHAT A DAY THAT
MUST HAVE BEEN. THE ANGELS AND SAINTS SAY, HERE
HE COMES, HAVING HONORED GOD'S LAW AND JUSTICE, HAVING ACCOMPLISHED
GOD'S WILL, GOD'S PURPOSE AND THE SALVATION OF HIS PEOPLE.
WHAT A GREAT DAY OF CELEBRATION THIS MUST HAVE BEEN. ALL THE
INHABITANTS OF GLORY WHAT ARE THEY SAYING? WORTHY IS THE LAMB
THAT WAS SLAIN TO RECEIVE ALL HONOR OF GLORY, BLESSING, POWER
BOTH NOW AND FOREVER. AND THEN EVERYONE SAID AMEN. AMEN. AMEN. A DAY OF GREAT CELEBRATION. VERSE 8 AND 10, WHO IS THE KING
OF GLORY? THERE'S THAT QUESTION. HE SAID, I'M THE LORD, BESIDE
ME THERE IS NONE OTHER. I'M THE LORD, I'M STRONG, I'M
MIGHTY. HOW MIGHTY IS HE? HE'S ALL POWERFUL. ALL MIGHTY. HE'S THE LORD MIGHTY
IN BATTLE. HE TOOK ON SATAN, DEFEATED HIM. HE TOOK ON SIN AND PUT IT AWAY. HE CONQUERED DEATH, HELL, AND
THE GRAVE. THAT WHICH WAS AGAINST US AND
CONTRARY TO US, HE TOOK IT AWAY AND NAILED IT TO HIS CROSS, HAVING
CONQUERED ALL THINGS IN HIMSELF, BY HIMSELF, WITH HIMSELF FOR
HIS OWN GLORY. WHO IS THE KING OF GLORY? IT
WAS THE LORD STRONG AND MIGHTY, THE LORD MIGHTY IN BATTLE." REMEMBER,
HE WENT FORTH CONQUERING AND TO CONQUER. HE NEVER LOST A BATTLE. WHO IS THIS KING OF GLORY, VERSE
10? WELL, HE'S THE LORD OF HOSTS.
HE'S THE LORD OF HIS PEOPLE. THE LORD'S STRONG AND MIGHTY,
ABLE TO PERFORM ALL OF HIS PURPOSE, ABLE TO PUT AWAY SIN BY THE SACRIFICE
OF HIMSELF, ABLE TO SAVE SINNERS TO THE UTTERMOST, AND THE LORD'S
MIGHTY IN BATTLE. HE'S THE CAPTAIN OF OUR SALVATION
WHO'S WON THE GREAT VICTORY FOR US. I can't put one sin away. Not
mine, not yours, not anybody. The Lord Jesus Christ took all
the sin of God's people to himself and put them away as far as the
east is from the west. Cast behind the back of God.
Cast into the depths of the sea. So much so that God said their
sin and their iniquity will I remember no more. He's won the victory. He says, I'm he that liveth and
was dead. Behold, I'm alive forevermore. I have the keys of hell and death.
I have all power. He's my savior. He's my redeemer. The Lord mighty in battle. He
has defeated every enemy of our soul. He freely gives us all
the spoils of his victory, all grace now and glory forever.
Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is
God that justifies. Who is he that condemneth? It's
Christ, died, yea, rather. It's risen again. Who is even?
The right hand of God. You ever notice how many times
it says in scripture that he's on the right hand of God? A place
of love, power, dominion, and delight. AND WE'RE SEATED IN
HIM. THANKS BEING THE GOD WHO HAS
GIVEN US THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. YOU SEE, HE'S THE LORD, HE'S
THE LORD OF HOSTS. YOU SEE THAT? TURN TO PSALM 85. I'LL LET YOU GO HERE. PSALM 85.
LOOK AT VERSE 10. WE'VE READ THIS
VERSE MANY TIMES. But he came as a representative
man. He ascended to glory as the representative
man of his people. Mercy and truth, Psalm 85, 10.
Mercy and truth are met together. Righteousness and peace hath
kissed each other. All the attributes of God are
satisfied in Christ crucified. Truth shall spring out of the
earth. That's Christ. Righteousness
shall look down from heaven and it did this is my beloved son
in whom I'm well pleased day the Lord shall give that which
is good and Our land shall yield the increase Righteousness shall
go before him now watch it and Shall set us in the way of his
steps we enter in with him as our covenant head GOD OF ALL GRACE. HE'S THE KING
OF GRACE AND THE KING OF GLORY WHO CAME TO REDEEM A PEOPLE AND
DID. AND WE ENTER IN IN HIM. AND HE'S
SEATED IN THE HEAVENLYS RIGHT NOW, RIGHT? ON THE RIGHT HAND
OF GOD. WE'RE SEATED IN HIM. ALREADY SEATED IN THE HEAVENLYS
IN CHRIST JESUS. IN MY HEAD, IN MY REPRESENTATIVE
MAN. WHAT'S TRUE OF HIM IS TRUE OF
ME. WHERE HE IS, I AM.
