Okay Well, it's not just words
that you're supposed to say when you to be polite When you come
visit with some of your brethren, it is truly an honor for me to
be here. I've looked forward to it I just
this place holds this people hold such a special place in
my heart your pastor such a A dear, dear friend of mine. I've already,
like the Queen of Sheba, come and proved him with some hard
questions already tonight. Just such a dear friend. And
I'm very appreciative that you would invite me. If you would
open your Bibles to Joshua chapter 2. The title of the message this
evening is Under the Blood of Jesus. I'm sure everyone here
knows the story of Rahab the harlot very well. She was saved
alive when the walls of Jericho fell because she was in that
house that had the scarlet line hanging through the window. Rahab
the harlot was saved alive because she was under the picture of
the blood of Christ. And what this is teaching us
is everyone who is under the blood of Christ, not the picture,
but under His blood, washed in His blood, is eternally saved. More than just their body saved,
their soul is eternally saved under the blood of Jesus. I tell
you how important this issue is. The difference between heaven
and hell is the blood of Christ. The difference between dying
in your sin and standing guilty before God in your sin and dying
under the blood, having your sin forgiven under the blood
of Christ, the difference, being guilty before God and innocent
before God is the blood of Christ. Well, that brings a question
to my mind. Am I under the blood of Christ? This is an important
question. Does that cross your mind? Are
you under the blood of Christ? Did Christ die for me? I know
he died. Did he die for me? Was the blood
of Christ shed to pay for my sin? We can find the answers
to those questions by looking at Rahab. I've got a few points
and the first one is this. If you're under the blood of
Jesus, God has showed you that you're a sinner. Look at verse
1 of Joshua chapter 2. And Joshua the son of Nun sent
out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go and view
the land, even Jericho. And they went and came into a
harlot's house named Rahab and lodged there." Now Rahab was
a harlot and a lot of the old writers seem to really struggle
with that. They say, well she used to be
a harlot but she's a reformed harlot. By the time the spies
got there, she wasn't a harlot anymore. Now, I'm here to tell
you that's not so, and I'm glad it's not so. This gives hope
to a heart like me. God saves sinners. God doesn't
save good people. God doesn't save people who used
to be a sinner, but now they've reformed, they're not a sinner
anymore. God saves sinners. Now, some of these old writers,
they try to say, well, Rahab, she kept an inn. Well, that's
true, but inns in those days were brothels, and that's what
they were. Rahab is a sinner. She's such a vile sinner, Rahab
sold her body to men for money. Now that's offensive. When we
hear that, that's offensive to us, isn't it? But let me ask
you this question. Are you as sinful as a harlot?
Are you as vile as a common street harlot? I hope so. Look in Matthew chapter 9. I
hope so. Because the only kind of people God saves are sinners. Real, bonafide sinners. Matthew chapter 9, verse 10. And it came to pass, as Jesus
sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came
and sat down with him and his disciples. And when the Pharisees
saw it, they said unto his disciples, why eateth your master with publicans
and sinners? And when Jesus heard that, he
said unto them, they that behold need not a physician, but they
that are sick. But go ye and learn what that
meaneth. I will have mercy and not sacrifice. For I'm not come
to call the righteous, but I'm come to call sinners to repentance. The blood of Christ was shed
for sin. And just like your pastor just
said how precious that is, that the blood of Christ was shed
for the sin of sinners. That's precious, first of all,
because God would even give His Son to shed His blood for sinners. And second, how precious is that
flow that washes away all the sin of His people. It cleanses
us from all sin. That's precious. But if you're
not a real sinner, then the blood of Christ was not shed for you.
But if you're a real sinner, and I mean so that you see yourself
as the chief of sinners, you couldn't be more guilty, you
couldn't be more vile. then you're under the blood.
You're under the blood of Christ. His blood was shed to pay for
your sin. I know that so because the only people who know that
they're a sinner are the people that the Father chose, the Son
died for, and the Holy Spirit's come and given life to in the
new birth. That brings me to my second point. If you're under
the blood of Jesus, you've heard the gospel. Now when I say you've
heard the gospel, I mean more than you just heard the name
of God. This is a whole lot more than
knowing God exists. When I say you've heard the gospel,
I mean more than you just know the name of Jesus Christ. What
I mean is that you've heard of Christ from God Almighty. You
didn't hear by the power of the preacher. You didn't hear by
the power of your mama. You heard by the power of the
Holy Spirit. And you've heard, you've heard the gospel, how
God saves sinners. You've heard who God is. And
you've heard, not just heard Christ save sinners, you've heard
you're a sinner. And you come to Him begging for mercy. That's
what Rahab did. Look back in our text here, Joshua
2. Verse 9. She's talking to these two spies,
and she said unto the men, I know that the Lord hath given you
the land, and that your terror has fallen upon us, and all the
inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard
how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you, and you
came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites
that were on the other side, Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you
utterly destroyed, And as soon as we heard these things, our
heart did melt. Neither did there remain any
more courage in any man because of you. For the Lord your God,
He is God, in heaven above and in earth beneath. Now everybody
in Jericho, everybody in this surrounding country heard what
Rahab just said right there. They all heard this. They heard
how God miraculously delivered Israel from Egypt. They heard
how God defeated every enemy that ever came upon them. They
heard how Israel spent 40 years in the wilderness without any
visible means of sustenance and God miraculously provided for
them the whole time. They heard the power of the God
of Israel. He dried up two seas. They cross
over on dry ground. They've heard all that. And they
were afraid. They knew Israel's coming here.
Israel's coming here to take our land. They're coming in the
power of God. Now they all heard that, but
nobody except for Rahab was begging for mercy. Look here at verse
12. Now, therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the Lord, since
I've showed you kindness, that you also show kindness unto my
father's house and give me a true token, and that you'll save alive
my father and my mother and my brethren and my sisters and all
that they have and deliver our lives from death. Isn't that
the prayer of a believer? Lord, have mercy on me. Would
you have mercy on me? And would you have mercy on my
children? Would you have mercy on my parents? Would you have
mercy on my loved ones? Would you have mercy on the people
of my town? Now see, everybody heard, Israel's
coming in the power of God, didn't they? You know what everybody
did? Everybody but Rahab got prepared to do battle. Now they're
scared to death of the power of God, and they know they're
fighting a losing battle. Yet what do they do? They prepare
to do battle against God anyway. They just went on doing what
they're doing. They live in their sin and their rebellion. They
say, well, Israel's coming, but they're a long way away. Maybe
Og will take care of them. Maybe Bashan will take care of
them. Maybe they'll want to settle something. Maybe they won't come here. But
just in case they do, let's build bigger, stronger walls, let's
reinforce the gate, let's build our military, amass lots of weapons. Everybody was preparing to do
war against God, except for Rahab. Rahab said, I've heard these
things. I've heard about your God, and
this is what I know. I love what she says here at
the end of verse 11. I know this. For the Lord's your God, He is
God, in heaven above and in earth beneath. How did that harlot
know that? She heard from God. She didn't
just hear the reports of men. She heard from God. God gave
her the ear of faith, and she heard. She believed. Rahab learned
who God is the same way Thief on the Cross did. God taught
her. And both of them, when God teaches
you, what does that make you do? Beg for mercy. Isn't that
what they both did? Now if you're under the blood,
I can tell you this. God's going to send his servant
to you. He's going to send his servant to preach the gospel
to you. Isn't that what scripture says? It pleased God by the foolishness
of preaching to save them that believe. God's going to send
you a preacher. Now, lots of people hear preachers. Lots of
people do. Lots of people even hear God's
true preachers preach. How many people heard Brother
Henry preach? I mean, how many? How many heard the words that
he said? But I tell you this, if Christ died for you, if he
shed his blood for your sin, God's going to make you hear
it. He's going to send that message to you like It's only for you. I don't care how many people
are in the room, you think that message is only for me. And it
may be. You know, it just might be. And
you might wonder, well, how can I hear a message from God and
somebody else hearing the same preacher can't? The same way
Rahab heard who God is and nobody else did. The exact same way.
And if you're under the blood of Jesus, you're going to hear
of Christ. You're going to come to Him.
You're going to believe Him. God will see to it. Thirdly, if you're
under the blood of Jesus, you're an object of free, sovereign,
electing grace. You know this. You don't believe
Christ because you're better than somebody else. You don't
believe Christ because you used to be a harlot, but you changed
your ways and you reformed and you started doing better so God
saved you. No, no, that's not it at all. You know this. The only reason
you believe God, the only reason you have faith in Christ is you're
an object of God's free, sovereign, electing grace. It's the only
reason. There's no other reason for it. There's no reason for
salvation can be found in you at all. It's all God's grace. And we read this story and we
say, boy, isn't it lucky? Those spies came into that big
city and they just happened to come to Rahab. There probably
was other ends, you know, and I'm not sure of the economy. They had competition. There were
probably other ends. Isn't it lucky they came to Rahab, came
to her end? No, there's no such thing. No
such thing as luck. Those spies came to that specific
inn, to that certain woman, because God led them to her. Because
she is a chosen object of God's mercy before the foundation of
the world. And that describes every sinner God saves. The events
of our life are arranged in such a way that we wind up meeting
a gospel preacher. He's sent from God and God gives
us a hearing and we hear him. We believe Christ. We believe
that message. All y'all have a story. How did
you come to hear the gospel? How did you come to hear of Christ?
Was it just dumb luck? Was it just a strange coincidence? Absolutely not. Boy, Tony, you
sure are lucky. You haven't done Henry and Rolfe
on the Internet. The Internet has billions of
sites. Boy, aren't you lucky? Aren't
you lucky? You just happened to find Tom
Harding's name on the Internet. Boy, that sure turned out pretty
lucky for Kingsport. No. Right there sits an eternal object. of God's sovereign, electing,
distinguishing, free grace. There wasn't a chance he'd go
through this life without hearing the gospel. Not a chance. God
ordained the exact moment. God put you where you are so
you'd hear the gospel and believe. All thank God for grace. Aren't
you thankful for grace? God chose a people before the
foundation of the world out of Adam's fallen race. God chose
to save them. And he sent his son, his own
beloved son, to become a man, to be their representative. He
sent his son to die as their substitute. And he sends God
the Holy Spirit to come and give him life and faith in Christ.
That's the story of every believer. And every child of God knows
that. I didn't do anything to deserve
this or earn this. The only thing I deserve is God's
wrath. Thank God he didn't give me what
I deserve. But instead he chose me as an
object of his free grace. I'm an object of God's free,
sovereign, discriminating, electing grace in Christ Jesus. Fourth. If you're under the blood
of Jesus, God has given you faith in Christ. Look at verse 2 in
our text here, Joshua 2. And it was told the king of Jericho,
saying, Behold, there came in in hither to-night of the children
of Israel to search out the country. And the king of Jericho sent
unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee,
which are entered into thine house, for they be come to search
out all the country. And the woman took the two men
and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I
was not whence they were. And it came to pass about the
time of the shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men
went out. Whether the men went, I want
not, I don't know, but pursue after them quickly, for you shall
overtake them. But she had brought them up to the roof of the house,
and hid them with the stalks of flack which she had laid in
order upon the roof. Now this was pretty risky for
Rahab. If these men sent from the king caught Rahab lying,
if they caught her hiding the spies, they would have instantly
put her to death. She put her life on the line
to save these men for this reason. She believed God. Now true saving
faith looks to Christ for the forgiveness of our sin, the forgiveness
of my sins in His blood and His blood alone. True saving faith
looks to Christ for all our salvation. Christ is my salvation or I'm
damned. There's not another option. There's
not a plan B. Christ is all my salvation. True
saving faith looks to Christ as all my righteousness. Don't
ever think of righteousness as a thing imputed. Righteousness
is not a thing. Righteousness is a person. Jehovah
Sidkenu, the Lord, our righteousness. The Lion of Christ is my righteousness
or I don't have any. That's it. That's what saving
faith lays claim to. And like Rahab, saving faith
asks God for mercy for Christ's sake. But I'll tell you this
about saving faith. Saving faith also always acts. True saving faith is never alone.
Saving faith is never dead, it always acts. Now saving faith
is more than saying, yeah, I believe the gospel. Really, pretty much,
as long as I can remember, mentally, I thought, yeah, I believe the
gospel. I mean, I believe that. It just
makes sense. I see that. But I was lost. Saving faith
is more than saying, yeah, I think that's so. Does your life depend on it?
Does your life depend upon this gospel being true? Does your
life depend upon Christ doing what He said He'd do and save
His people from their sins? Does your life depend entirely
upon Christ? See, there's a difference between
thinking something's true and staking your life on it. Faith
puts all of the difference between life and death, heaven and hell,
on Christ alone. Now look over in the book of
James, James chapter 2. I'll show you this, how faith
acts. Now everybody here knows that
Abraham had faith. Abraham is famous for his faith.
He's the father of the faithful. Abraham believed God and it was
counted to him for righteousness. And James, under inspiration
of the Holy Spirit, compares the harlot Rahab, he compares
her faith, to the faith of the patriarch Abraham. Look here
at James 2 verse 24. You see then how that by works
a man is justified not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab
the harlot justified by works when she had received the messengers
and had sent them out another way? For as the body without
the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."
Now please don't misunderstand me. No sinner is saved by works. No sinner is saved by anything
we do. Salvation is entirely in Christ
and we receive that by faith in Christ. No sinner is justified
by our works in any way. We're justified in the blood
of Christ. But our faith is justified, or it's shown before men by our
actions. And I'll give you an illustration.
I can ask Brother Tom, will that piano bench hold my weight? He said it would. Now, my faith
in what Tom told me is justified or not justified if I sit down
like this. You're already laughing. My faith's
not justified. You can tell by my actions I
believe Him. But if He tells me it's penitent to hold my weight,
and I just sit down, my faith is justified. Now, if a person
says, I believe Christ, I believe His blood cleansed me from my
sin, I believe I'm justified in Him, but I better go on keeping
some of these religious ceremonies. They make me feel good. I think
I've got to follow these ceremonies. There's a few of these laws.
I better still keep them or I won't be saved." Now, that's not saving
faith. That faith is not justified before
men. Rahab believed God and her faith
was justified when she put her life on the line. She put her
life at risk to save those spies. If God was not able to do what
he promised, Rahab's going to die. But she trusted God. That's
true saving faith. If God's who he says he is, Rahab's
going to live. If God's not who he says he is,
she's going to die. She believed God. That's saving
faith. Saving faith stakes our eternal
life on Christ alone. And I'll tell you this about
saving faith. Saving faith identifies publicly with Christ. Publicly
confesses Christ as our Savior. Look back in our text at Joshua
2, verse 18. This is one of my favorite things
about Rahab. Verse 18. Behold, when we come
into the land, these are the spies talking to her, thou shalt
bind this line of scarlet thread in the window, which thou didst
let us down by, and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother,
and thy brethren, and all thy father's household home unto
thee. Now look down, verse 29, she let them down and they went
on their way. And she said, According unto your word, so be it. And
she sent them away, and they departed, and she bound the scarlet
line in the window. Now they told her when we come
back. We're going to destroy the city." Then you hang a scarlet
line in the window. She didn't wait until they were
coming back. She immediately identified with the blood. She
immediately hung that line in the window. If God the Holy Spirit
ever reveals Christ to you, He gives you faith in Christ, you're
not going to say, well, you know, I think I want to sow my wild
oats for a while. I'm going to have some fun while
I can, and then when I can't do that anymore, then I'll confess
Christ. No, that's not faith God gave. When you see Christ,
you'll confess Him. Saving faith is confessed by
following our Savior and believers' baptism. Baptism doesn't save
you. Baptism is a confession of what
God's already done for you. Christ saved me by His death,
His burial, and His resurrection. When He died, I died in Him.
When He was buried, I was buried in Him. And when He arose, I
rose in Him. Saving faith will confess Christ. Saving faith will identify with
Christ by being with His people when His people gather together
to worship. Saving faith will put its money where its mouth
is. It will give, not in order to buy anything from God, but
out of love and thanksgiving. Now if you have that kind of
faith, Christ died for you. I know that's so because God
only gives that kind of faith to those people that Christ died
for. The just shall live by faith. Here's the fifth thing. If you're
under the blood of Jesus, you're protected by the promise of God.
Look at verse 14 here in our text. And the man answered her,
our life for yours, if you utter not this our business, and it
shall be when the Lord hath given us the land that we will deal
kindly and truly with thee. We're gonna deal with you in
mercy and truth. Then she let them down by a cord through the
window, for her house was upon the town wall. And she dwelt
upon the wall. And she said unto them, Get you
to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you, and hide yourselves
there three days, until the pursuers be returned. And after a word
you may go your way. And the man said unto her, We'll
be blameless of this thine oath, which thou hast made us swear.
Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line
of scarlet thread in the window, which thou hast led us down by,
and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren,
and all thy father's household home unto thee. And it shall
be that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into
the street, his blood shall be on his head, and will be guiltless.
And whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood will
be on our head, if any hand be upon him. And if thou utter this
our business, we'll be quit of thine oath, which thou hast made
us to swear." And she said, according unto your words, so be it. Rahab's safety depended upon
the promise of these spies, didn't she? Her safety depended upon
it. Well, yes and no. Really, Rahab's
safety depended on the promise of Joshua. Look over in chapter
6. You know, Joshua in this book
is the type of Christ. Her safety depended on the promise
of Joshua. He's the commander of the people.
In Joshua chapter 6 verse 17, this is when Joshua is given
the final instructions on the seventh day, for they circle
the city seven times and the walls will fall flat. He says,
and the city should be accursed, even it and all that are therein
to the Lord. Only Rahab the harlot shall live. She and all that are with her
in the house because she hid the messengers that we sent.
This was Joshua's commandment. Rahab the harlot's gonna live.
Well, look over verse 21. What happened in the confusion
of battle? You know, sometimes maybe it wouldn't happen. Well,
verse 21. And they utterly destroyed all
that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and
ox and sheep and ass with the edge of the sword. And Joshua
said to the two men that had spied out the country, Go into
the harlot's house and bring out thence the woman and all
that she hath, as you swear unto her. And the young men that were
spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her
mother, and her brethren, and all that she had. And they brought
out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.
And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein,
only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and
iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord. And
Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive and her father's household
and all that she had. And she dwelt in Israel even
unto this day because she hid the messengers with Joshua sent
to spy out Jericho. Joshua saved Rahab the harlot
alive. And every believer is just like
our sister Rahab. We're eternally protected by
the promise of God. We're protected by the promise
of God to forgive our sin through the blood of his son. We're protected
by the promise of God to make us righteous in Christ. We're
protected by the promise of God to accept us in Christ. Look
over at Titus chapter 1. This promise of God is important. I might promise you on such and
such a day, I'll do something or I'll meet your... Well, I
may or may not. I might not have the ability
to do what I said I was going to do. Well, what about this
promise of God? I've lost my place here, just
a minute. Titus chapter 1, verse 1. Paul,
a servant of God and apostle of Jesus Christ, according to
the faith of God's elect and the acknowledging of the truth
which is after godliness, in hope of eternal life, which God,
that cannot lie, promised before the world began. But in due time,
but hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which
is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our
Savior." Before the world began, God made a promise. He chose
a people. He promised to save those people
through the blood, the righteousness, the sacrifice of his son. God
the Son promised in the fullness of time He would come as a man
and He would purchase the salvation of His people. All those that
the Father gave Him, the Son promised the Father, I'll redeem
them. I'll pay the price for their sin. And you know He kept
His promise. He came as a man and He purchased
the eternal redemption of His people. He came in the flesh
as a man and He earned the righteousness under the law that He freely
gives to His people. And he died, and he shed his
precious, perfect blood as payment for the sins of his people. And
the Father keeps his promise. The Father sends the Holy Spirit
to all of his elect, everyone that Christ died for, and he
reveals Christ to them through the preaching of the gospel.
Gives them faith to believe, and they come to Christ. Irresistibly,
they're drawn to Christ. And there's not the slightest
chance Any of them will be damned. There's no way any of them can
be destroyed by God's wrath because God promised to save them and
He always keeps His promise. That's what was pictured here
in Jericho. When they marched around that city on that seventh
day and they blew those trumpets, those walls fell flat. They didn't just crumble down,
they fell flat. And all the Israelites just walked
straight in, no problem. They walked straight in and destroyed
everybody. except for this one piece of
wall. There was one segment of wall that was still standing.
And it was standing because there was a red line hanging out the
window. That was a picture of the blood of Christ. That section of wall could not
be destroyed as long as Rahab was in it. Because Rahab is one
of God's children. Rahab couldn't die because Christ
already died for her. And all of God's elect are the
same way. You're protected by the power of the blood of Christ
and the promise of God. Sixth, if you're under the blood
of Jesus, you'll stay under the blood of Jesus. You're not going
to leave the protection of Christ for something else because you
don't have any other hope of forgiveness of your sin other
than the blood of Christ. That's what the spies told Rahab
in verse 19. And it shall be that whosoever shall go out of
the doors of thy house into the street, his blood will be on
his head. He's going to be destroyed, and
that's his fault. And we'll be guiltless. But whosoever shall
be with thee in the house, his blood will be on our head, if
any hand be upon him. Now like I said earlier, a believer,
he's going to identify with Christ. He's going to identify with the
person of Christ, the sacrifice of Christ, and they'll never
leave. They'll never leave that hope because there is no other
hope. Remember our Lord asked his disciples, will you also
go away? What did Peter say? Lord, to
whom shall we go? We don't have any other hope.
You have the words of eternal life. We believe and we're sure
Thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. We're not
going to leave. And Rahab and her family stayed
in that house with that scarlet thread hanging out the window.
Can you imagine when those walls fell flat to sound? I mean, it
had to be so scary in that house. People coming in and burning
with fire and killing everybody. It was so scared, they thought
maybe we should run. They said, don't do that. Stay here under
the blood. God promised He'd save us. They
could not perish under the picture of the blood of Christ. And you
who believe, you know one of the scariest, one of the things
that frightens a believer the most, will I leave? If I can, I will, but God won't
let you. God won't let you. No, He won't.
If the blood of Christ was shed to pay for your sin, you cannot
perish. You cannot leave because Christ
was already punished as your substitute. You can't be punished. Christ has already died as your
substitute. You can never die because Christ
died to pay for your sin and you'll never leave that blood. Now, when I first began preparing
this message, I thought this was my last point, but I've got
one more I've got to give you. This is something you can take
with you. If you're under the blood of
Jesus, you're in the family of God Himself. Somebody like me? Yes. What happened to Rahab? When Joshua saved Rahab the hearted
alive, Rahab got her a new name. She got her a new husband and
she got a new genealogy. Rahab the harlot married a man
named Salmon. Salmon was a prince in Israel.
I can just imagine Salmon's mother. Salmon, couldn't you pick out
a nice Jewish girl with a nice family and a good reputation?
I'm sure he could have. Salmon was a catch. But Salmon
picked his bride the same way Christ picked his bride. He picked
a harlot. That's who God picked for his
bride. He picked harlots, sinners. And Salmon and Rahab had a son,
named him Boaz. Boaz, the kinsman redeemer. Rahab
is such a member of the family of God, she's the great-great-grandmother
of King David. She's royalty. Rahab the harlot,
a full-fledged member of God's family. And that's every sinner
God saves. You're a full-fledged member
of God's family. Somebody else, not better than
you, you're on a higher plane than you, you're going to live
in a bigger mansion than you. There are no black sheep in God's family.
They're all washed white in the blood of Christ. And Rahab got
a new genealogy. You know Rahab the harlot. is
mentioned in the genealogy of our Lord Jesus Christ. Rahab
the harlot, because that's who Christ came to save. That's who
He came to identify with. She's in His family. And Rahab's
faith, well, we think, well, you know, my faith is not like
these men of old. Rahab the harlot, her faith is
mentioned alongside Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Joseph, and
Moses, In that great hall of faith, Hebrews chapter 11, when
James, under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, chose two illustrations
of faith, who did he choose? We read it earlier. Abraham and
the harlot Rahab. Rahab is as much a daughter of
God as Abraham is a son of God. That's right, because they're
sons and daughters by grace. It's by grace. Now are you under
the blood? Guilty as a common street harlot. You've got no hope except for
the Lord Jesus Christ. You're under the blood. God make
it so. Thank you.
