Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is his
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This
is Sinner Saved coming at you with the following short evangelistic
gospel message, which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the
Brothers and Sisters in Christ. at First Baptist Church located
in Almonte, Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His
only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord Our Righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that His everlasting Gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that His elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted
in these evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
and His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. Jesus, the effective mediator. A reading from 1 Timothy 2, 5.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus. If Jesus is to be considered
an effective mediator, there are certain things he must be
able to do. First, he must be able to reach down to the lowest
of the low and the worst of the worst. Why? Simply this, if we
are stuck on the top of a building and use a ladder to try to climb
down, the ladder is of no use if it doesn't go all the way
to the bottom. Spiritually speaking, that's what Jesus did. He came
all the way down. He reached the lowest of the
low. In gospel terms, that means there
is no sin so terrible that the blood of Christ cannot reach
and take away. Hallelujah. Nothing you have
done is too powerful for the blood to forgive. Indeed, a mediator
who could not save the worst of sinners is no mediator at
all. What kind of mediator do we need? We need a mediator who
has taken away all our sins. Only Jesus has done that. We
need a Mediator who has fulfilled the law and removed its curse. Only Jesus has done that. We
need a Mediator who has crushed and defeated Satan. Only Jesus
has done that. We need a Mediator who has actually
removed the wrath of God. Only Jesus has done that. A mediator
who cannot do these things is of no use to us. Away, therefore,
with all these popes and cardinals and prelates and so-called enlightened
prophets who claim to stand between us and God. If they personally
cannot bear responsibility for our sins, they are of no use
to us. But here's the gospel truth. We need no other mediator
than the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the true and only mediator,
for he descended from heaven, went to the cross, and there
mediated on our behalf. Please see Hebrews 9.15. What
a beautiful, powerful, and effective mediation. Second, not only does
a mediator need to be able to reach low enough, the true mediator
needs to be able to reach high enough. Can Jesus do that? The
true mediator, you see, should be able to take us from the uttermost,
or the guttermost, to the uttermost. But how can any mediator do that? After all, God is so pure that
no sin can come into His presence. Ah, but Jesus is qualified to
enter into the Father's presence because He is the sinless God-man. He has brought us with Him to
heaven. See Ephesians 2, 6. He has paid
for our sins. He has paid for our sins and
taken them away. His mediation brings us to the Father. See
John 14, 6. In fact, Jesus is the only one
who can do this. Since there is only one mediation,
or mediator, I'm sorry, see 1 Timothy 2.5, no one else can bring us
to the Father. All prayers to all other supposed
mediators are therefore vain and useless. With respect, the
Virgin Mary can do nothing for us, nor can Joseph or any of
the so-called saints. They cannot pray for us and bring
us to the Father, but Jesus can and does. So a true mediator
needs to reach both low enough and high enough. But thirdly,
the true mediator also needs to be able to reach deep enough.
Not only does he bring us to God, he also brings God to us. Please see John 14 verses 20
and verse 23. We are in him and he is in us. He causes us to live in the reality
of the gospel. He brings us the spirit of adoption
and lets us know that we are now the children of God. See
Romans 8 15. He cures our orphaned hearts. What astonishing grace is this?
What other mediators can get low enough, high enough, and
deep enough? Buddha can't do that, Moses can't, and neither
can Muhammad. There is no one on earth who
comes close to Jesus. There simply are no other players
on the field. And that's the gospel truth. And that was from preacher Myles
McKee, reading from Psalm 86, five. For thou, Lord, art good and
ready to forgive and plentious in mercy unto all them that call
upon thee. And this message is entitled
Mercy and Truth. It is delightful to speak about
the mercy of God, but forgiveness and salvation do not come to
sinners by mercy alone without consideration for the legal requirements
of God. The soul that sinneth shall die.
The righteous judge cannot clear the guilty apart from satisfaction
for sin. The sweet mercy of the Lord will
never be exercised at the expense of his justice. His violated
law demands death for all transgressions. God cannot be at peace with sinful
men in a way that is dishonoring to his truth and righteousness.
His only begotten son has rendered to him the required price for
the redemption for his chosen people. It is finished. His precious blood has been shed
so that God can be a just God and a savior. The sacrifice of
the good shepherd to divine justice on the behalf of his sheep was
the price that forevermore silenced divine vengeance, exhausted the
wrath of God, and when revealed and applied to them by the Holy
Spirit, speaks peace to the troubled consciences, telling them all
is well with a holy God. Hallelujah. Psalm E 510 mercy
and truth are met together Righteousness and peace have kissed each other
that was from preacher Jim Byrd Psalm 27 1 the Lord is my light
and my salvation Whom shall I fear the Lord is the strength of my
life of whom shall I be afraid? All shall come Jesus says in John 637, all that
the Father giveth me shall come to me. Him that cometh to me
I will in no wise cast out. All, not one or two or 10 or
a million only, but all. And observe therefore, they are
the Father's gift to Jesus and therefore they must come. He
said elsewhere that I should give eternal life to as many
as thou hast given me. John 17, too, in his great high
priestly prayer. Hence, therefore, there is a
blessed provision, a blessed security, that they shall come,
for they are the Father's gift to Christ, as well as the purchase
of Christ's blood, and the promise is absolute in the charter of
grace. And we read in Psalm 110, verse
3, thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, thankfully
so and to give every possible encouragement to the poor coming
sinner whom God the Holy Ghost is leading by the hand to the Excuse me friend Whom God the
Holy Ghost is leading by the hand to the all-precious Jesus
he adds in Him that cometh to me. I will in no wise cast out. Hallelujah That was from old-time
preacher Robert Hawker If Jesus Christ died for our
sins, then we are sure for heaven's glory based on his righteousness
imputed and received by God-given faith. God the Holy Spirit will
impart spiritual life and knowledge within us and we will be conformed
to the image of Christ. If Jesus Christ died for our
sins, it is impossible for us to perish as Christ suffered
the full measure of God's wrath in our place. God's law must
pronounce us righteous based on the obedience unto death of
Christ, our substitute and surety. Therefore, salvation is never
by works of righteousness, which we have done, are doing, or ever
will do. Friends, please see Titus 3,
5. Very critical. It is all of and by Jesus Christ,
the Lord. That was from preacher Bill Parker. Let us suppose that we are in
fact in the very last days and within a matter of months or
a few years at most, God moves upon the events of world history
so that suddenly a new Caesar or Mussolini or Hitler or Stalin
appears. Suppose that such a person, the
incarnation of satanic power, actually gains domination of
the entire world as neither Mussolini or Hitler or Stalin were able
to do. Suppose that he uses this power to demand worship of himself
and his state upon penalty of death. Suppose that martyrs begin
to fall by the hundreds of thousands, not only of Jews, but particularly
of Christians who will not worship the beast or receive his mark.
Suppose that suddenly the people of God find themselves engulfed
in a horrible persecution at the hands of the Antichrist when
they had been assured repeatedly on the authority of the word
of God that this experience would never befall them. What will
be the result? We leave it to the reader's imagination.
Certainly we dare not propagate a teaching of safety about which
the word of God is not indisputably clear, nor should we accept the
responsibility of filling the hearts of God's people with what
may be a false hope and thus leave them utterly unprepared
for terrible days of persecution when and if they fall. if there
is the possibility that the church is to suffer tribulation at the
hands of antichrist do not those who believe it have a god-given
responsibility to do what they can to prepare the church for
what may be ahead even though it is a very unwelcome message
our responsibility is to god not to man that was from a preacher
george ladd from Exodus 19, 12. Go not up
into the mount. While sitting, resting in the
comforts and safety of my home, I saw a photograph of a line
of people following each other in blinding snow and bitter cold,
trying to walk up Mount Everest. The article said that the death
toll is reaching its highest ever, yet the people kept going.
In spite of body after body being brought down from that mountain,
they trudged on, many to their deaths. I thought of the same
scripture above. The Lord God warned the people
not to try and go up into the mount Sinai that is he warned
that everyone who even touched it would be put to death That
mountain is the law the inflexible holy law of God, which everyone
has broken No man can keep and all who attempt to get to God
by the law are rejecting Jesus Christ the Lord and saying that
they can get to God by their works negative all who do so
shall be surely put to death but oh how many foolishly follow
their blind leaders to their death and how many try to ascend
the pinnacle of power pride and creature praise only to die and
quickly be forgotten how many try to summit the mount of self-satisfaction
and fleshly pleasure only to lose it all and die How foolish,
how sad, how tragic. But oh, how blessed is the man
who rests, trusts, and glories in the Lord Jesus Christ. That
was from an unknown preacher of righteousness. When a preacher
is railing on some matter, he is most often preaching to those
who are not present. If he denounces this or that
sin, those who are most guilty of it are probably not there.
If he exorcise those who believe false doctrine, he is likely
wasting his and his hearers time unless he has not been faithful
to tell the truth up to that point. Such preachers are like
the gladiators of old for they fight for spectacle, not conquest. Like professional wrestlers,
their preaching is little more than religious entertainment
with a predetermined outcome. Such preaching would be worthy
of only a chuckle, were it not that there is a real battle going
on. A battle with real and deadly
enemies. and that the ones who have gathered
to listen are there not for more fighting, but for a few moments
of spite from their own personal struggles in that war. They need
no pulpit-pounding lessons in how wicked the enemy is, for
they already know, having struggled with him and his followers all
week. They need no chest-thumping demonstrations of powerful so-called
preaching, for it is not the greatness of the preacher that
strengthens them, but the greatness of the one the preacher was sent
to declare. the Lord Jesus Christ. Rather,
God's people need to be reminded of their captain who has fought
gloriously and in his fighting has destroyed the enemy. In regards
to their sin, they need to be comforted. As God told Isaiah
in Isaiah 41, chapter 40, verse 1, comfort ye, comfort ye my
people. The preacher is sent to the people
of God to tell them the heart-lifting news that, through the labors
and victory of their Redeemer, their sins are forgiven, for
often they come to worship under a burden of guilt. God's people
must be reminded that victory has been given to them through
Christ Jesus, for often they come to worship feeling like
anything but a victor. Those sent to preach to the people
of god are not generals engaged in warfare so much as they are
medics Sent to tend to the wounds of the warriors. They have not
been sent as lords to hold dominion over god's heritage But as servants
to wash the feet of the weary sons of god and to prepare and
serve them the heavenly food Of the body and blood of christ
and so doing they strengthen the hearts of their hearers with
grace And they prepare them for the battles of the coming week
until the lord shall come or they shall depart And the hearers
go away not thinking. Oh, what a great preacher or
oh, what a great sermon, but Hallelujah, what a great Savior
That outstanding piece was written by preacher Joe Terrell It is
written in Isaiah 45 22 where our Lord Jesus Christ commands
look unto me and be saved all the ends of the earth for I am
God and there is none else but The master also says in Matthew
11, 28 through 30, come unto me all ye that labor and are
heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and
learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find
rest unto your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while he may be found and seek him while he is
near. Only by being in Christ, the ark of our salvation, may
we be delivered from the fierce wrath of almighty God, which
is coming soon upon the wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken
His sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around
the world to His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our
righteousness. Yehovah tzidkenu. Bless the name. Baruch Hashem. Holy One of Israel. Hakadosh Yisrael. Hallelujah. If you're a letter of the Lord
