Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is His
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This is Sinner Saved coming at
you with the following short evangelistic gospel message.
And God willing, this broadcast will reach you, Lima Charlie,
loud and clear. It is my hope and prayer unto
God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His only begotten
Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our righteousness, be greatly exalted,
that His everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed, that the
pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and that His
elect saints be greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted in these
evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by his sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God,
in His unmerited favor, to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. Jesus, the Lord my Savior, is
my shepherd and my God, my light, my strength, my joy, my bliss,
I in His grace rejoice. Whatever I need in Jesus dwells
and there it dwells for me. Tis Christ my earthen vessel
fills with treasures rich and free. Mercy and truth and righteousness
and peace most richly meet in Jesus Christ the King of grace
in whom I stand complete. Worthy the Lamb shall be my song
for He for me was slain, and with me all the heavenly throng
shall join and say, Amen." Accepted in the Beloved. Ephesians 1,
6. If you and I are among the righteous,
it is because we are made so in Christ. The apostle says,
and it is such a comfort to our souls, because it admits of no
contradiction, neither sin nor Satan can overwhelm it, or overthrow
it, I should say. He was made sin for us, who knew
no sin, that it almost makes me afraid to utter the words.
They're full of such grandeur and immortal glory, and shine
like a diamond set with all manner of beauty. we might be made the
righteousness of God in him." 2 Corinthians 5.21. Come, poor child of God, who
are cast down by looking at your wanderings of heart, carnality,
and daily failings, and who, perhaps, have come here full
of confusion, feeling yourself a helpless and wretched creature,
with your head hanging down like a bulrush, Look up to Jesus. He is the blessed head for the
righteous, the perfect center of all glory and beauty. Look at the perfect work of Christ. He is the Lord our righteousness. Ye are complete in Him. Nowhere else you see the church
is accepted in the beloved, and here it is, she stands righteous
in the sight of God. Now, do you want to know when
this took place? I cannot tell you. There is no
date, but what God Himself has put to it, and that is from eternity. Past, present, and to come are
all present with Him. He knew from everlasting all
that should ever come to pass. As it is written in Ephesians
1 verses 3 and 4, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings
in heavenly places in Christ, according as he hath chosen us
in him before the foundation of the world. Again, those that
are righteous before God are justified freely by His grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3, 24. They are justified and completely
acquitted in him so that no just charge can be brought against
them. Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who
is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea,
rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand
of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Romans 8 verses 33 and
34. So that those who are righteous
before God are made so in Christ. They are part of his mystical
body in union with the head. And all that Jesus is and has
as the head is imputed to and put upon them. The body, and
here it is, they stand everlastingly righteous before God. I know
and am sure that when the soul is brought to know that he is
righteous here, he does not want to be justified in any other
way. Excellent message from old-timer
preacher John Warburton. Faith and repentance, gifts from
Almighty God. The faith that brings a sinner
to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for all salvation and
the repentance by which that same believing sinner turns away
from himself, his dead works, and idolatry are both gifts of
God's grace, goodness, and power given to all his people by the
Holy Spirit and from the Lord Jesus Christ. by whose righteousness
he has been justified. Many today who claim to be Christians
erroneously think that faith and repentance are acts of man's
so-called free will decision, as if man even has fallen in
and by Adam into sin and spiritual death and depravity retains a
spark of goodness by which he has the ability to choose that
which is good and right when it comes to salvation. Wrong. But God's word tells us otherwise,
as it's written in 1 Corinthians 2.14. But the natural man receiveth
not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness
unto him. Neither can he know them, because
they are spiritually discerned. And also see John 6.44 and Romans
3 verses 10 through 12. God's word tells us that even
faith to believe in Christ is not of ourselves, but the gift
of God and comes by the power of the Holy Spirit in the new
birth. See John 1 verses 12 through
13, also Ephesians 2 verses 8 through 10. The reason it is important and
even necessary that we see this truth is that God and Christ
must have all the glory in our salvation, and we must be left
with no room to glory in ourselves. As it is written in 1 Corinthians
1, 31, that according as it is written, he that glorieth let
him glory in the Lord. That was from preacher Bill Parker
of Eager Avenue Grace Church located in Albany, Georgia, USA. How did Christ die? It is written in 1 Corinthians
15 verses 3 and 4, For I delivered unto you first of all that which
I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to
the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again
the third day according to the scriptures. Note the word how
and consider the nature and quality of death. Christ died and what
the Old Testament scriptures have to say about his death. Number one, he died violently. He is brought as a lamb to the
slaughter. He was cut off out of the land
of the living. For the transgression of my people
was he smitten. Isaiah 53 verses seven through
eight. Christ did not die from natural
causes. Because he had no sin in him,
he must die a violent death, or he would never have died at
all. In the scriptures, no sacrifice was ever offered to God which
had died a natural death, only that which was slain when it
was in the prime of life and full of strength. The broken
law required the execution of death upon the offender for violating
its precepts. With the sins of his people imputed
to him, the Lord Jesus Christ died a violent, bloody death
in order to satisfy divine justice. 2. He died voluntarily. He was a
willing Savior. He was oppressed and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth. Isaiah 53, 7. None could take
his life from him. He laid it down in the stead
of his chosen people. Then said I, lo, I come, in the
volume of the book it is written of me. Psalm 40, 7. Number three,
he died vicariously. He was the substitute who died
in the ruined place instead. of his guilty people. Surely
he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. He was wounded
for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace
was upon him and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53 verses
four and five. God has exacted satisfaction
from the blood and death of His Son, the substitute of His people. Justice cannot condemn those
in whose place the Lord Jesus died. Number four, he died victoriously. The pleasure of the Lord shall
prosper in his hand. He shall see the travail of his
soul and shall be satisfied. By his knowledge shall my righteous
servant justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities.
He bear the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors. Please see Isaiah 53 verses 10
through 12. His death was successful because
it has cured the salvation of all for whom he died. He ransomed
his people from the claims of offended justice. By his death,
Satan was defeated, sin was put away, righteousness was brought
in, the integrity of divine law was upheld, the sheep were redeemed,
reconciliation was accomplished, and God was satisfied. This is the gospel that is according
to the scriptures. And that great message was from
preacher Jim Bird of 13th Street Baptist Church located in Ashland,
Kentucky, USA. It is written in Psalm 104, verses
31 through 34, the glory of the Lord shall endure forever. The Lord shall rejoice in his
works. He looketh on the earth and it trembleth. He toucheth
the hills and they smoke. I will sing unto the Lord as
long as I live. I will sing praise to my God
while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be
sweet. I will be glad in the Lord. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22,
where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, And Christ Jesus also says in
Matthew 11, Come unto me, all ye that labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and
ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and
my burden is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow, for none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ while He may be found, and seek Him while He
is near. Only by being in Christ, the
ark of our salvation, may we be delivered from the fierce
wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon the wicked. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,
which was and is and is to come. Great is our Lord Jesus Christ,
and greatly to be praised. Take heart, friends. Our mighty
and glorious King of Glory is inbound for His afflicted saints. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. Maranatha!
