The sermon titled "Storm Warning #48" addresses the theological doctrine of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone. Key arguments emphasize the sufficiency of Christ as the sole means of salvation, highlighting that redemption is based entirely on His merit and not on human works. Scripture references, including John 17:17, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, Matthew 11:28-30, and Isaiah 45:22, underpin the message that believers must continuously turn to Christ for everything they need—be it grace, sanctification, or comfort. The practical significance lies in the encouragement for congregants to rely fully on Christ and not their own efforts, thereby fostering a deeper intimacy in their relationship with Him and emphasizing the importance of faith and dependence on His word.

Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. His loving kindnesses, tender
mercies, and compassions are new every morning. Great is his
faithfulness. His mercy endureth forever. This is sinner saved coming at
you with the following short evangelistic gospel message,
which is sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the brothers and
sisters in Christ Jesus at First Baptist Church, located in Almont,
Michigan USA and God willing this broadcast will reach you
Lima Charlie loud and clear It is my hope and prayer unto God
Most High the only Holy Father that is only begotten Son Christ
Jesus the Lord our righteousness and be greatly exalted, that
his everlasting gospel be clearly proclaimed, that the pride of
mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and that his elect saints be
greatly encouraged, cheered, and comforted in these evil and
perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ in saving poor, needy, and wretched sinners
by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty God
and His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins and
from hell. We must continually come to the
Lord Jesus Christ One great part of the work of the Holy Spirit
in the heart is to empty us, strip us of self, lead us to
feel our own weakness, and bring us as poor sinners to look to
Jesus alone as our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. And just in proportion as we
feel our need of Christ and realize our absolute nothingness without
Christ, shall we prize Him Enjoy him and exercise dependence upon
him Oh, how little do many of us know our need of Christ and
therefore it is that we make so little use of Christ Enjoy
so little of Christ receive so little from Christ and do so
little for Christ We come to him at first as poor lost helpless
sinners that we may be saved by his merit and mercy and as
believers we must continually come to Christ and With all our
burdens, that he may bear them. With all our cares, that he may
manage them. With all our sorrows, that he
may sanctify them. With all our foes, that he may
conquer them. With all our sins, that he may
cleanse them. And with all our needs, that
he may supply them. All that we need is in Christ,
and it is in Christ for us. Our sense of our need of Christ,
if it is deep and increasing, will lead us to daily come to
Christ for all our supplies. Our deep necessity fits us for
Christ, and His infinite fullness fits Him for us. Our trials,
troubles, temptations, disappointments, and vexations are to teach us
our need of Christ and to drive us continually to Him. There
is often much prayer and yet little communion with Christ.
We should realize that He is giving us His whole attention.
He expects us to tell Him all that troubles us, all that grieves
us, all that pleases us, all that we need, and all that we
desire. We should keep back nothing from
Him, but speak to Him freely on every subject and every circumstance. He is always with us, listening
to us, and sympathetically entering into all our concerns. We must
be intimate with Christ. We must walk with Him. We must
carry everything to Him. We must seek all we need from
Him. We must be constantly going to
Christ, conversing with Christ. Obtaining from Christ if he would
receive the consoling influences of his love That was from old-time
preacher James Smith year of our Lord 1859 The Lord Jesus
Christ praying to the one and only Holy Father in his high
priestly prayer in John 17 verse 17 Sanctify them through thy
truth thy word is truth Thus prayed our great high priest
on earth What he asked in his humiliation is founded upon the
word and will of his Father, and he hath power to effect it
in his exaltation. Hence we have the fullest assurance
of the perfect sanctification of all his members. Hence the
desires and breathings of souls, after holiness, are encouraged,
and the prayers of the faithful gather the strongest confidence
of success. While our beloved expresses his
affectionate concern for his people's salvation, we see an
equal regard for the honor and glory of his Father's word. Love for holiness and love of
the truth are inseparable. As the gospel prevails in the
heart, holiness is increased. It is first life, then liveliness
in the soul. It is the ministration of the
spirit and the sanctification of the spirit. Whatever working
we find of the spirit in the heart, it is by the word of truth.
The life of believers is from Christ, who is the truth. Therefore,
increasing light, refreshing comforts, stronger affections
shall abound, and all by that same law of grace and truth.
whereby the soul was at first converted to the faith of Jesus,
as it is written in Psalm 19, 7 and 8. The law of the Lord
is perfect, converting the soul, making wise the simple, rejoicing
the heart, enlightening the eyes. There is a particular glory in
the order of salvation. God hath chosen us from the beginning,
that means before the foundation of the world, to salvation. But how is this made manifest? Only through sanctification of
the spirit and belief of the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2.13. Thus faith and holiness flow
from electing love. So every word of God's truth
is prized. and the fulfillment of every
promise is expected. We love the truth because it
discovers God's most ancient love to us in Christ. It reveals
Christ's righteousness to us for our justification. It revives
our hearts with the knowledge of pardon by his blood and the
certainty of full sanctification and perfect glory through his
intercession. So Jesus prayed, so we believe. So poor sinners are saved, saved
unspeakable mercy, saved from the power of sin and the prevalence
of pride. Happy the heart where the love
of holiness prevails, agreeable to the word of truth. On the
other hand, there is a dreadful delusion when the truth is held
in unrighteousness. or zeal for holiness is contended
for, while the truths of electing love, Christ's righteousness,
and His members' certain salvation are opposed and denied. And in some cases, they're ridiculed.
Shameful! It should not be. Glory to the
Father for His everlasting love. Glory to Jesus for His justifying
righteousness and atoning blood. Glory to the Spirit for His sanctifying
influences. will ever be ascribed to them
by truly sanctified hearts. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew
19, six, what God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. That was preacher William Mason. Excuse me, friends. In all the heresies that have
troubled the church over the last 2,000 years, there is, in
truth, only one heresy. The insufficiency of Christ is
that heresy. No matter what form a heresy
may take, free willism, ceremonialism, traditionalism, legalism, moralism,
and so forth, the underlying issue is a lack of belief that
Christ is the necessary and sufficient savior for sinners. We need him,
and he is all we need. In a very real sense, many shall
perish forever. They kind of believed that Christ
was necessary for their salvation, but they prove they do not believe
that Christ is sufficient, for they act as though the salvation
brought by Christ is waiting for them to do something that
activates or supplements the work of Christ. But the glory
of the gospel of Christ is that its success rests entirely on
the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The gospel of God requires nothing
from us. It comes to us as sinners, expecting
nothing from us. But the glory of the gospel of
Christ is that its success rests entirely on the work of the Lord
Jesus Christ. The gospel of God requires nothing
from us. It comes to us as sinners, expecting
nothing from us. That was worth repeating. Even
the faith by which we lay hold of Christ does not arise from
our natural selves, but it is a gift from God, given to us
without us asking for it, worked in us by the power of the Spirit
of God as He imparts new spiritual life to us through the new birth. Everything in the gospel is designed
so that he who boasts, boasts in the Lord. The praise of heaven
does not contain a single word about the works of men. Rather,
every syllable is toward the Son of God. He did it! He did it all! He did it well! That cheerful, encouraging message
was from preacher Joe Terrell. When I look in my wretched heart,
and there my nature see, this is my hope, this is my joy, that
Jesus lived for me. When I behold God's holy law,
and there my sentence see, this is my hope, this is my joy, that
Jesus died for me. When I see how my days are mixed
with joy and misery, this is my hope, this is my joy, that
Jesus rules for me. And when I ponder on my life,
how swift its end must be, this is my hope, this is my joy, that
Jesus lives for me. When I look out upon this world
and there God's judgment sea, this is my hope, this is my joy,
that Jesus comes for me. And when I stand before God's
throne, hear his just decree this still my hope and joy shall
be Jesus sits there for me that was an excerpt from the hymn
amazing grace a strong admonition to follow friends Now the word
of the Lord does not yield up its meaning to lazy people. Salvation
is free, but truth has to be bought. See Proverbs 23.23. Yet
few indeed are willing to pay its stipulated price. Not only
do the scriptures have to be searched, see John 5.39, and
searched daily, Acts 17.11, not only does passage have to be
carefully compared with passage, see 1 Corinthians 2.13, Not only
must all this be done in meekness, Psalm 25, 9, and complete dependency
upon God, Proverbs 3, 6, but there must be a fervent crying
after knowledge, and an importunate lifting up of the voice for understanding,
and seeking her as silver, which entails hard labor and diligent
perseverance, yea, a searching for her, meaning wisdom, as for
hid treasure. Proverbs 2 verses 1 through 5.
And we know that Jesus Christ is wisdom personified. Thank God. The Word of God represents
the fallen children of Adam as being spiritually bound with
chains, shut up in death, securely held in prison so that nothing
short of a miracle of grace, the putting forth of divine omnipotence
can free them. That's from preacher Arthur W.
Pink. It is written in Isaiah 45, 22,
where our Lord Jesus Christ commands, look unto me and be ye saved,
all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else.
And the master, Christ Jesus, says again in Matthew 11, 28
through 30, come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn
of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart. And ye shall find rest
unto your souls, for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Friends, it is imperative that you flee to Christ Jesus today,
not tomorrow, for none of us are promised another day on this
planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
while He may be found, and seek Him while He is near. Only by
being in Christ, the ark of our salvation, may we be delivered
from the fierce wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon
the wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken
His sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around
the world to His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our
righteousness, Yehovah Sidkenu. Bless the name. Baruch Hashem. Hallelujah. If you'd like to

write is the Lord be magnified at gmail.com. Great is our Lord
Jesus Christ and greatly to be praised. Take heart, friends. Our mighty and glorious King
of glory is inbound for his afflicted saints. Even so, come quickly,
