The sermon titled "Storm Warning #11" focuses primarily on the doctrine of justification by faith through grace alone, a fundamental tenet of Reformed theology. The preacher emphasizes that salvation is solely the result of Christ's perfect sacrifice and not dependent on human works. Key Scripture references include Romans 5:9, which affirms that believers are justified by the blood of Christ and saved from God's wrath, and 1 Thessalonians 1:10, which highlights the hope believers have in awaiting Christ’s return. The practical significance of the sermon underscores the assurance and peace found in faith, as believers can rest securely in their justification and the finished work of Christ, dismissing any reliance on personal merit. The message encourages listeners to acknowledge their complete dependence on divine grace and to seek salvation in Christ alone.

Key Quotes

Warm greetings, friends, near
and far. The Lord Jesus Christ be magnified
forever and ever. This is Sinner Saved coming at
you, and the following short evangelistic gospel message is
sponsored by preacher Wayne Boyd and the Brethren in Christ at
First Baptist Church located in Almonte, Michigan, USA. And God willing, this broadcast
will reach you, Lima Charlie, loud and clear. It is my hope
and prayer unto God Most High, the only Holy Father, that His
only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our Righteousness, be
greatly exalted, that His everlasting Gospel be clearly proclaimed,
that the pride of mere flesh and blood men be humbled, and
that His elect saints be greatly encouraged and comforted in these
evil and perilous days. Please consider having paper
and pencil handy to jot down the scriptural references for
your own follow-up study. And so we begin with the weekend
gospel message to follow for all hands. Heads up! Please find enclosed encouragement
in so great salvation by the perfect and finished work of
our Lord Jesus Christ. in saving poor, needy, and wretched
sinners by His sovereign free grace. That is to say, Almighty
God in His unmerited favor to save me and you from our sins
and from hell. The blood of justification. From Romans 5.9, the Apostle
Paul wrote, much more than having been justified by his blood,
we shall be saved from wrath through him. What a positive,
comforting thing to hear. We shall be saved from wrath. The wrath of God, which shall
fall upon every sinner outside of Christ, shall not fall upon
me, not because I don't deserve it, nor because God has decided
not to judge my sin, but because it has already fallen upon Christ
my substitute. We shall be saved through him.
Simply stated, believers in Christ shall be saved because they have
been saved. Our justification through his
blood, that is, his life laid down, his cross death, was not
only the sum of all our justification before God, but it is also the
source of all our consolation from God. Since God has declared
us righteous in Christ and put away our sin by the shedding
of His blood, we now await for His Son from heaven, whom He
raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath
to come. 1 Thessalonians 1 10. Everything
is through Him, through our Lord Jesus Christ. And this comfort
and consolation is received and enjoyed by us through God-given
faith. How can a sinner live in this
life without fear of the wrath to come? Him! His blood! We believe God and sit in quietness
of conscience and mind as those Hebrews sat in their house in
Goshen with the blood of the Passover lamb on their doors
as the death angel passed through Egypt. We have been saved, so
we shall be saved. And I know I covered this same
reading last week. The Lord put it upon my heart
that Bears repeating so they're the blood of justification and
that message came from preacher Gary Shepherd our firm foundation
from Psalm 11 3 if the foundations are destroyed What can the righteous
do? The foundations of our trust
are firm and never can be moved. We have received a kingdom that
cannot be shaken What is this? strong foundation of our trust.
It is Christ. It is His glorious person, His
deity and manhood indissolubly joined, His everlasting love,
His finished work, His precious blood, His expiating death, His
all-atoning cross, His resurrection might, His rule at the right
hand, His never-ceasing intercession, His well-ordered providence,
His coming kingdom, His eternal reign. How blessed How encouraging
are these truths! Not one can be opposed, not one
can disappoint. We may rest all our weight on
them. They cannot sink. If any flaw could be discerned,
if any weak part showed insecurity, we might indeed despond. But,
building on this solid base, we may indeed reject all taunts. We have a strong city. God has
appointed salvation for walls and bulwarks. That was from preacher
Henry Law. Where does a believer find real
and genuine peace? On what foundation can we rest
and say in truth, it is well with my soul? I'll tell you it
lies in this, that we are justified by faith and not by works. Christ
Jesus stood in my place before God. I was guilty with nothing
to pay. doomed to hell, and Christ took
my place. He died for me. How can I perish? How can I be punished for sins
which have already been laid on Christ and for which He has
already suffered? God demands of me that I keep
His holy law perfectly. I cannot do it, but Christ has
kept it for me. He kept it, magnified it, made
it honorable in my flesh. What more can God demand of me?
I am washed in the blood of Christ. I am risen and seated at His
right hand in Christ. You may ask, how is all this
yours? I reply, by the grace of God,
through the merits of Christ, revealed by the Spirit of God,
through faith. God said, he that believeth on
the Son hath everlasting life. I do believe. I sincerely believe
in Christ. Therefore, I have eternal life. No other one There is no other
light or life in this sad world of sin and strife, but Christ
alone, my righteousness, who gives me life through his death. There is no other hope or peace
where sin is bound and won't release, but Jesus' blood, once
shed for me, both gives me peace and sets me free. There is no
other love or rest in all the earth, with all its best, but
Jesus Christ, the son of love, has brought me rest from God
above. There is no other name I'll praise,
no, none other trust for all my days, but Jesus only be my
all and give me grace until he call." That was from an old gospel
hymn to the tune of, From Every Stormy Wind That Blows. And the
words were from preacher Gary Shepherd. The Lord alone be exalted. My friends, do you love to hear
Christ lifted up and exalted as your all and in all? If you
do, you are willing to be made less than nothing and vanity
in yourselves. Professors of religion, generally
speaking, do not like to be thus humbled. They love to have something
to do, in whole or in part, to recommend themselves to God.
But the Lord's salvation is not a mixture of grace and works.
It is of free and sovereign grace, and received by faith alone,
which is the gift of God. It is not of works, lest any
man should boast. The Lord alone be exalted as
the Alpha and Omega, the beginning And the ending the first and
the last and the salvation of his people and that was from
old-time preacher John Kershaw the year of our Lord 1848 the matchless person of Christ. Oh, that we might obtain a glimpse
of the matchless person of Christ. Oh, that we might behold the
King in his beauty. Surely then would our sight and
eyes be turned away from viewing vanity. If there is an object
in the universe that should attract our attention, excite our admiration,
warm our affections, and demand our love, Surely it is the glorious
Savior, the blessed Son of God, who is the brightness of His
Father's glory and the express image of His person. Christ is
the most glorious being in the universe of God. Blessed Jesus,
reveal Yourself unto us in all Your transcendent loveliness
and in all Your surpassing beauty. You are fairer than the children
of men, the chief among ten thousand. Yes, You are altogether lovely. You are the blooming rose of
Sharon and the lily of the valleys. Manifest thyself, O Lord Jesus,
unto us as you do not unto the world. Gladden our guilty souls
with the beams of your mercy and grace. Unfurl the banner
of your wondrous love over us. Encircle us in the arms of your
compassion and lift upon us the light of your gracious countenance.
We can know but little comparatively of the excellency and glory of
Christ's person until we see him on his heavenly throne in
all his unveiled glory. Then shall we see him as he is,
face to face, and forever behold his matchless beauty. What a
glorious sight will that be to see the Redeemer shining in the
perfection of beauty. What a blessed privilege to dwell
forever in the presence of the Great King, to surround the radiant
throne of heaven amid the splendors of the celestial paradise, to
sound through endless ages the notes of seraphic praise to Him
that redeemed us from eternal misery with His own most precious
blood. Gentle listener, seek Christ
now. Believe on Him. View Him with
the eye of faith as your only Lord and Savior. And in a little
while, faith shall be turned into sight, into heavenly vision,
and you will enjoy the presence and society of your beloved Redeemer
throughout a glorious eternity. Remember, dear listener, that
Christ has said, those that seek Me early shall find Me. May the lord in his mercy grant
that you and I may find him of whom moses and the prophets wrote
Jesus the son of god. This will prove our everlasting
comfort Through time and through eternity christ will be our unchanging
friend That was from preacher david harsha from the year of
our lord 1856 Jesus is the christ John 2031, but these are written
that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God,
and that believing ye might have life through his name. The scriptures
tell us plainly that if all the miraculous, holy, and righteous
things that Christ our Lord did had been recorded in the scriptures,
The witch, if they should be written, everyone, I suppose
that even the world itself could not contain the books that should
be written. Amen. That was from John 21,
25. However, that which has been recorded in the pages of divine
inspiration are written for one purpose. that ye might believe
that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus Christ is salvation. All the scriptures are concerning
him. In believing this, you have eternal
life through his name. And that was preacher David Edmondson. It is written in Isaiah 42, or
excuse me, friends, 45, 22, where our Lord Jesus Christ commands,
look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for
I am God and there is none else. And the master also says in Matthew
11, 28 through 30, come unto me, all ye that labor and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you
and learn of me, For I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall
find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden
is light. Friends, it is imperative that
you flee to Christ Jesus today, not tomorrow. For none of us
are promised another day on this planet. Today is the day of salvation. Call upon the name of the Lord
while he may be found, and seek him while he is near. Only by
being in Christ, the ark of our salvation, may we be delivered
from the fierce wrath of Almighty God, which is coming soon upon
the wicked. This about wraps up this evening's
broadcast. I trust Almighty God will awaken
His sleeping elect and draw multitudes of men, women, and children around
the world to His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, the Lord our
righteousness. Yehovah Sidkenu. Baruch Hashem. Bless His holy name forever.
